Against Minnesota, the leagues #3 offense, the Flames allowed the Wild just 1 goal and have allowed just 4 in their last two meetings. 3. This was a team going into Excel Energy center against the Wild who just had their toughness questioned and they took the soul out of this team within minutes after scoring a PP goal on the back of aggressive play in front of Talbot. 4. GN Brad Treliving deserves so much credit for not only what he’s built there, but going out and getting Tyler Toffoli early who brings Cup experience and has been a point a game player in his seven games with the team. 5. Curry has been dealing with some right (shooting) hand soreness that caused him to miss Sunday's game vs. Minnesota. Maybe that hand explains why Curry is shooting just 35.4 percent this month and 29.9 percent from deep. His scoring average is only 19.6 points in January, and he's down to sixth in the league at 26.3 ppg. Thus, the MVP race could be far from over also involving Milwaukee's Giannis Antetokounmpo (+300) and Denver's Nikola Jokic (+600).

Baylor’s guard play is excellent again, despite sending three players to the NBA, but they do not have any established rim protectors under the rim. Their tallest rotation player is the 6’10 Flo Thamba, who is averaging under five points and five rebounds in just 18 minutes per game. The Bears do play physical, and they won’t just allow Dante and freshman Franck Kepnang to establish position and go to work down low, but Oregon has the depth in the frontcourt to continually pound the ball and force Baylor to guard them in the post.
