11-27-23 | Pelicans v. Jazz UNDER 231 | Top | 112-114 | Win | 100 | 9 h 3 m | Show |
The Indiana Pacers boast the league's top offense, but coach Rick Carlisle knows his squad needs to improve on the defensive end in order to make a lengthy postseason run. The Pacers' ongoing journey to become a complete squad continues on Monday when they face the visiting Portland Trail Blazers in Indianapolis. All-Star point guard Tyrese Haliburton averages 25.4 points and 12.1 assists to lead Indiana, which is scoring a league-high 128.8 points per game. Haliburton had 26 points and Myles Turner added 23 in the Pacers' 136-113 victory over the Detroit Pistons on Friday. The win earned Indiana a quarterfinal home game in the NBA in-season tournament. Turner is averaging 17.2 points and 7.5 rebounds for the Pacers, who have scored at least 130 points in seven of their first 15 games. Indiana's high-scoring attack has been presenting new challenges for opposing coaches. That's all well and good but this total is an obvious trap. |

11-27-23 | Lakers v. 76ers -5.5 | Top | 94-138 | Win | 100 | 7 h 53 m | Show |
The 76ers are coming off a 127-123 road win over the Oklahoma City Thunder on Saturday, preventing their first three-game skid of the season. Philadelphia center Joel Embiid, who figures to match up against Davis on Monday, just missed a triple-double after finishing with 35 points, 11 rebounds and nine assists. Embiid scored more than half his points at the free-throw line, going 19 for 21, as the 76ers snapped Oklahoma City's six-game winning streak. Chet Holmgren, a 7-1 rookie power forward for Oklahoma City, said it's nearly impossible to guard Embiid one-on-one. |

11-26-23 | Bulls v. Nets -4 | Top | 109-118 | Win | 100 | 7 h 18 m | Show |
The Brooklyn Nets struggled defensively during their just-concluded three-game losing streak. Even if one of their better defensive showings occurred against a short-handed opponent on Saturday, the Nets will look to follow it up on Sunday night when they host the struggling Chicago Bulls. The Nets are playing their second back-to-back set this season and are coming off a 112-97 win over the Miami Heat, who held out stars Bam Adebayo and Jimmy Butler due to lingering injuries. After allowing 390 points and 49 3s in losses to Miami, Philadelphia, and Atlanta, the Nets led virtually the entire way while permitting under 100 points for the third time this season. Brooklyn posted its second-most lopsided margin of victory thanks to its defense allowing 43.7 percent shooting while forcing a season-best 17 turnovers. The Nets also countered their effective defense by seeing all five starters reach double figures. Mikal Bridges scored 24 points, Cameron Johnson added 19 for his second-highest point total this season while Dorian Finney-Smith contributed 16. |

11-26-23 | Suns v. Knicks -3 | 116-113 | Loss | -115 | 6 h 52 m | Show
The Phoenix Suns will take the court Sunday night two days removed from keeping alive their hopes of advancing beyond group play in the NBA in-season tournament. Stunningly, so will the New York Knicks. The Knicks will look to build on a dramatic comeback win when they host the Suns in the first game of the season between the teams. Both teams were off Saturday after earning pivotal wins Friday. The visiting Suns completed West Group A play by cruising past the Memphis Grizzlies 110-89. The host Knicks overcame a 21-point third-quarter deficit to edge the Miami Heat, 100-98. The Suns have a 3-1 record in the in-season tournament, one game behind the Los Angeles Lakers. But with a plus-34 point differential, Phoenix is well-positioned to earn the wild-card berth into the knockout round. The top second-place team in the Western Conference is assured of finishing with no better than a 3-1 record. Through Friday, the Suns had a better point differential than the 3-0 Sacramento Kings (plus-29) as well as the 2-1 Houston Rockets (plus-16), the 2-1 Golden State Warriors (plus-5) and the 2-1 Minnesota Timberwolves (minus-3). With the point differential in mind, the Suns ended the lopsided win over the Grizzlies with four starters on the court - including star shooting guard Devin Booker, who scored nine of Phoenix's final 12 points over the final 3:53. He closed out the scoring by banking in a 27-foot 3-pointer for the game's final points with 13 seconds left. |

11-26-23 | Hornets +7.5 v. Magic | Top | 117-130 | Loss | -110 | 6 h 58 m | Show |
The Hornets are 10-4 (.714) against the Magic in Orlando since the 2015-16 season, the most road wins for the Hornets over any opponent over that span.

11-25-23 | Mavs -1.5 v. Clippers | 88-107 | Loss | -115 | 9 h 20 m | Show
The Mavericks defeated the Clippers 144-126 in their first matchup this season. The Mavericks' 144 points were the most scored by either team in their 171 all-time meetings.

11-25-23 | Lakers v. Cavs OVER 224.5 | Top | 121-115 | Win | 100 | 6 h 14 m | Show |
The Cavs are coming off a 33-point loss to the Heat in which they allowed Miami to shoot 57.1 percent from three-point range (20/35). Cleveland is allowing a 42.0 three-point percentage in home games this year, second worst entering the weekend (Memphis -- 43.4).

11-25-23 | Hawks v. Wizards UNDER 249.5 | Top | 136-108 | Win | 100 | 6 h 57 m | Show |
The Washington Wizards will return home for the second leg of a weekend back-to-back, looking to snap an eight-game losing streak when they host the Atlanta Hawks on Saturday night. Washington continued its skid with a 131-128 loss Friday in an NBA in-season tournament matchup at Milwaukee. Four Wizards scored at least 20 points: Jordan Poole with a team-high 26, Kyle Kuzma and Tyus Jones each with 22, and Corey Kispert with 20 off the bench, but it wasn't enough to end a losing streak that began on Nov. 10. Kispert was 6 of 10 from 3-point range. It was his first game with multiple made attempts from deep since he went 3 of 7 on Nov. 15 vs. Dallas. For Kuzma and Poole, Friday was their second time in as many games both surpassing 20 points -- Poole with 24 on Wednesday at Charlotte, and Kuzma with a near-triple-double of 28 points, 10 assists and nine rebounds. Friday was also Washington's second straight loss of just three points. |

11-22-23 | Mavs v. Lakers +3 | 104-101 | Push | 0 | 13 h 50 m | Show
Sometimes the best way to ignite a dormant offense is with a stingy defense. In the case of the Dallas Mavericks, they appear to have it the other way around. The Mavericks will try to override their leaky defense with a high-octane offense when they visit the Los Angeles Lakers on Wednesday night. Dallas is allowing an NBA 24th-best 120.4 points a game. The Mavericks, in turn, are scoring 122.8 points a game, which is second-most in the league. The Mavericks surrendered more than their season average in their past two games -- both losses. The Milwaukee Bucks shot 52.1 percent from the floor in a 132-125 win against Dallas on Saturday. |
|||||||
11-22-23 | Raptors +4 v. Pacers | Top | 132-131 | Win | 100 | 10 h 45 m | Show |
The Indiana Pacers will try to maintain their hot shooting Wednesday night when the oppose the Toronto Raptors in Indianapolis. The Pacers are coming off a 157-152 road win over the Atlanta Hawks on Tuesday night in an NBA in-season tournament game in which they shot 60.6 percent from the floor. Indiana has won all three of its tournament games and has clinched a quarterfinal spot with one game remaining. The Raptors will complete a two-game, two-day road trip after losing 126-107 to the Orlando Magic on Tuesday. Toronto fell to 0-2 in in-season tournament action. The Pacers trailed by as many as 20 points against Atlanta, but they rallied behind Tyrese Haliburton. The 23-year-old guard scored 26 of his 37 points in the third quarter and finished with 16 assists. I think participating in a game that featured 300 points and then playing the next night will take its toll late. |
|||||||
11-22-23 | Wizards v. Hornets -4 | Top | 114-117 | Loss | -110 | 9 h 26 m | Show |
Charlotte's fourth-quarter comeback and eventual overtime victory against the visiting Boston Celtics on Monday night were the highlights of the season so far for the Hornets. The challenge will be doing it again. The first chance for that comes on Wednesday against the visiting Washington Wizards. At least the Hornets have good vibes compared to the Wizards, who have lost six games in a row since a 132-116 victory at Charlotte on Nov. 8. More of the pieces appear to be in place for the Hornets, though they remain without injured guard Terry Rozier. Miles Bridges has a new role after working back into the rotation following a suspension, and Gordon Hayward has shown the ability to be an elite player again when healthy. |

11-21-23 | Jazz v. Lakers UNDER 237 | Top | 99-131 | Win | 100 | 12 h 42 m | Show |
As the only 3-0 team in the NBA in-season tournament so far, the Los Angeles Lakers are out to finish perfect in group play when they welcome the Utah Jazz to Southern California on Tuesday. The Lakers are not the only team without a loss in the tournament -- six teams are at 2-0 heading into Tuesday's games -- but they can be the first to advance to the knockout rounds with a perfect mark. It's not as if the 8-6 Lakers have necessarily prioritized winning the new in-season trophy. It has been all about timing, with their turnaround from a slow start coming as the in-season tournament arrived. In fact, their ascent started in the second half of their tournament opener at Phoenix on Nov. 10, when they turned 67 second-half points into a 122-119 victory over the Suns. Los Angeles outscored Phoenix 33-23 in the fourth quarter to end a three-game losing streak. Tournament victories over the Memphis Grizzlies and Portland Trail Blazers followed, giving the Lakers a tourney-best plus-42 point differential. Los Angeles prepped for Tuesday's final group-play game with a 105-104 non-tournament victory over the Houston Rockets on Sunday. LeBron James scored a season-best 37 points, including 13 in the fourth quarter. |

11-21-23 | Blazers v. Suns UNDER 225.5 | 107-120 | Loss | -115 | 11 h 55 m | Show
Devin Booker returned to the lineup, and the Phoenix Suns sprang to life and won three straight games. The Suns will try to make it four on Tuesday when they host the Portland Trail Blazers, a squad that has lost seven consecutive games. The contest is also an NBA in-season tournament game. Phoenix is 1-1 and in third place in West Group A, while the Trail Blazers are 1-2 and in fourth place. Booker has played in just five games this season due to ankle and calf injuries. He returned for last Wednesday's win over visiting Minnesota and averaged 27.0 points and 9.3 assists in the victory over the Timberwolves and two ensuing road victories over the Utah Jazz. Booker scored 31 points against the Timberwolves, had 24 points and a career-best 15 assists in Friday's win over the Jazz and came back with 26 points in Sunday's 140-137 double-overtime victory. Fellow star Kevin Durant had a monster outing with 39 points, eight rebounds and a season-best 10 assists in Sunday's win against Utah. |

11-21-23 | Pacers +4 v. Hawks | Top | 157-152 | Win | 100 | 10 h 32 m | Show |
The Atlanta Hawks will try to end a three-game, home-court losing streak on Tuesday night when they face the Indiana Pacers in the NBA in-season tournament. This will be the first of four regular-season meetings between Atlanta and Indiana. The Hawks won two of three against the Pacers last season. The Hawks have lost two straight and three of their last four after Friday's 126-116 home loss to Philadelphia in the in-season tournament. Indiana is coming off a 128-116 loss to Orlando on Sunday, where the Pacers trailed by 40 in the second half. The teams are competing in the East Group A Division of the in-season tournament. Indiana is 2-0 and Atlanta is 1-1 in tournament play. Atlanta has had trouble on the boards against New York's Mitchell Robinson and Philadelphia's Joel Embiid the last two games. |
|||||||
11-20-23 | Knicks v. Wolves UNDER 215.5 | Top | 100-117 | Loss | -115 | 8 h 11 m | Show |
The Minnesota Timberwolves will return from a successful five-game road trip to host the New York Knicks on Monday night in Minneapolis. Minnesota won four of those five games and has won nine of 12 to start the season. Each of the Timberwolves' last four wins has come by single digits, and the mood is positive in the locker room. Next, Minnesota welcomes a Knicks team that is riding a three-game winning streak. New York has won six of its past seven games, including a decisive 122-108 victory over Charlotte on Saturday. This marks the finale of a five-game road trip for New York, which is 3-1 so far. |
|||||||
11-20-23 | Kings v. Pelicans UNDER 237.5 | Top | 93-129 | Win | 100 | 8 h 3 m | Show |
The Sacramento Kings will look to extend their winning streak to seven games on Monday night when they visit the New Orleans Pelicans. The Kings' latest win was an emphatic 129-113 victory over the Dallas Mavericks on Sunday night. Sacramento scored 35, 35 and 37 points over the first three quarters and finished with 34 assists on 48 field goals. The Kings shot 53.3 percent from the floor and 42.5 percent from 3-point range. Domantas Sabonis led the way with a season-high 32 points to go with 13 rebounds and six assists. He made 13 of 15 field goals, with his only misses coming from 3-point range. De'Aaron Fox scored 30 points two nights after getting 43 in a 129-120 victory at San Antonio. He tied his career high by making six 3-pointers against Dallas. |
|||||||
11-20-23 | Celtics v. Hornets UNDER 232.5 | 118-121 | Loss | -110 | 7 h 6 m | Show
The Boston Celtics have been among the best teams in the NBA for the first month of the season. That's not the case for the Charlotte Hornets, who need something good to happen. The teams with opposite types of streaks will meet Monday night in Charlotte, N.C., where the Celtics will conclude a four-game road stretch. Kristaps Porzingis scored 26 points to lift Boston to its sixth straight victory on Sunday with a 102-100 win over the Memphis Grizzlies. Even that wasn't totally satisfying for the Celtics, however. So Mazzulla will have a motivational angle to use for the game in Charlotte. He said the Grizzlies played harder than the Celtics in Sunday night's game. That's all part of the heightened expectations for the Celtics, who are led by Jayson Tatum's averages of 26.9 points and 8.7 rebounds a game. |
|||||||
11-19-23 | Kings v. Mavs +2.5 | 129-113 | Loss | -115 | 7 h 46 m | Show
The Kings have lost their last three visits to Dallas, joining Portland and Utah as the only Western Conference teams not to win there since the start of 2021-22. Those three losses, however, have been by a combined 11 points.

11-19-23 | Magic +4.5 v. Pacers | Top | 128-116 | Win | 100 | 4 h 19 m | Show |
The Orlando Magic look to forge a three-game road winning streak Sunday when they visit the Indiana Pacers for an Eastern Conference matchup at Indianapolis. Orlando scored back-to-back wins at Chicago, 96-94 on Wednesday and 103-97 on Friday, to rebound from a 124-104 defeat at Brooklyn on Tuesday. The loss to the Nets is the Magic's only defeat in their last four outings. Franz Wagner led six Magic scorers in double figures on Friday, finishing with 21 points, including a pivotal three-point play with 20.1 seconds remaining as Orlando rallied after coughing up a 15-point, fourth-quarter lead. The Magic trailed after an Alex Caruso 3-pointer with 26 seconds remaining but recovered to score the game's final seven points. |
|||||||
11-19-23 | Pistons +9.5 v. Raptors | Top | 113-142 | Loss | -115 | 3 h 13 m | Show |
The Toronto Raptors are out for a victory over the Detroit Pistons on Sunday afternoon in order to complete their four-game homestand with a split. After winning the opener of the homestand by coming back from a 23-point deficit to defeat the Washington Wizards 111-107, the Raptors have lost two in a row. Toronto was down by 16 points at halftime Friday and came back to take the lead in the fourth quarter before losing 108-105 to the Boston Celtics. It was Toronto's first game of the NBA in-season tournament. I just think the points are a lot to give. |
|||||||
11-18-23 | Heat v. Bulls UNDER 213.5 | 97-102 | Win | 100 | 8 h 4 m | Show
The Miami Heat bring a seven-game winning streak to Chicago for a Saturday matchup with the slumping Bulls. The catalyst behind Miami's longest surge since the 2017-18 season: a complementary style. Chicago can relate in part despite a three-game skid that includes consecutive home losses to Miami's in-state counterpart, the Orlando Magic. After scoring just 33 points in the first half on both Wednesday and Friday, the NBA season low for points before halftime, the Bulls challenged the Magic down the stretch both times, only to falter. Orlando left town with victories by scores of 96-94 and 103-97. |
|||||||
11-18-23 | Grizzlies v. Spurs OVER 225.5 | Top | 120-108 | Win | 100 | 8 h 38 m | Show |
Memphis watched the Lakers shoot 62.9 percent from three-point range on Tuesday, its highest percentage allowed in any game since December 6, 2017 (64.3 vs. Knicks). Entering the weekend, the Grizzlies have the worst three-point defense in the league (42.1) while the Spurs have the second worst (40.3).
|
|||||||
11-18-23 | Wolves v. Pelicans OVER 220.5 | 121-120 | Win | 100 | 7 h 43 m | Show
The New Orleans Pelicans shook off a five-game losing streak with impressive home wins against the Dallas Mavericks and the Denver Nuggets. They'll try to continue their momentum when they play the Minnesota Timberwolves on Saturday night in the fourth game of a six-game homestand. The Pelicans had their most productive offensive game of the season in a 131-110 victory against the Mavericks on Tuesday and had three players score more than 20 points in their 115-110 victory over the Nuggets on Friday. But it has been improved defense that has fueled the offensive efficiency. |
|||||||
11-17-23 | Lakers v. Blazers +9 | 107-95 | Loss | -110 | 10 h 44 m | Show
The Los Angeles Lakers defeated the Portland Trail Blazers earlier this week without LeBron James. Five nights later, James is expected to be in the lineup when the Lakers visit the Trail Blazers in the NBA in-season tournament matchup. James sat out against Portland due to his left calf injury but is listed as questionable for the rematch. The Lakers won 116-100 as Anthony Davis recorded 30 points and 13 rebounds. In between, James played a back-to-back set on Tuesday and Wednesday against the Memphis Grizzlies and Sacramento Kings, respectively. He was stellar in defeat against the visiting Kings, recording 28 points, 12 assists and 10 rebounds for his 108th career triple-double. The triple-double snapped a tie with Jason Kidd and moved James into fifth place in NBA history. The health of Davis (hip, adductor) is often a problem but he is listed as probable for Friday's game. Davis struggled with just nine points on 3-of-9 shooting and committed five turnovers in the 125-110 loss to Sacramento but didn't want to blame it on his ailments. He also had nine rebounds and four blocked shots. |
|||||||
11-17-23 | Celtics v. Raptors +8.5 | Top | 108-105 | Win | 100 | 7 h 22 m | Show |
The Toronto Raptors know they must break their habit of slow starts when they play the visiting Boston Celtics on Friday night in their first NBA in-season tournament game. Coach Darko Rajakovic said after Wednesday's 128-112 loss to the visiting Milwaukee Bucks that the Raptors are trying to sort out their issues at the start of games. The Raptors have overcome 22- and 23-point deficits to win games this season, but they could not come back after falling behind by as many as 33 to the Bucks. |
|||||||
11-17-23 | Pistons v. Cavs OVER 220.5 | Top | 100-108 | Loss | -110 | 7 h 11 m | Show |
The Cleveland Cavaliers welcome the visiting Detroit Pistons to town on Friday for an NBA in-season tournament matchup, with both teams seeking their first win in pool play. Cleveland makes its homecoming from a four-game road trip in which it went 2-2 against Western Conference competition. The Cavaliers wrapped up their swing on Wednesday with a 109-95 defeat of Portland. Cleveland played its road-swing finale without Darius Garland, the team's leader in assists at 6.2 per game and third-leading scorer at 17.2 points per game, due to a neck injury. Dean Wade made the start in Garland's place and went scoreless. Donovan Mitchell carried the load with 34 points, his fifth game of 30-plus points this season. Mitchell is averaging 29.2 points per game for the season. Cleveland also got 21 points and 12 rebounds from Evan Mobley in Portland. |

11-16-23 | Thunder -2 v. Warriors | Top | 128-109 | Win | 100 | 13 h 37 m | Show |
Oklahoma City Thunder will catch the Golden State Warriors without Draymond Green and possibly without Stephen Curry when the clubs duel in an early-season rematch Thursday night in San Francisco. Green on Wednesday was suspended for five games for his aggressive role in pulling Minnesota's Rudy Gobert away from a Klay Thompson-Jaden McDaniels scuffle early in the Timberwolves' 104-101 win on Tuesday. Green, Thompson and McDaniels were ejected just 1:43 into the contest. The Warriors already were without Curry, who complained of a sore right knee that required an MRI exam. Golden State reported no damage, and Warriors coach Steve Kerr, while acknowledging his star could miss a couple of games, was happy to label Curry day-to-day. The Thunder were without star Shai Gilgeous-Alexander when the Warriors stole a 141-139 road win on Nov. 3. Curry was the hero of the night, getting a buzzer-beating layup up and over Chet Holmgren to cap a 30-point performance. The Warriors outrebounded the hosts 38-32 in the win, with Green gathering in five to go with 15 points and three assists. |

The Warriors outrebounded the hosts 38-32 in the win, with Green gathering in five to go with 15 points and three assists. Gilgeous-Alexander returned from a sprained left knee in Oklahoma City's next game, and the Thunder have won four of five since. The All-Star put up an average of 33.8 points in those contests. |

11-16-23 | Nets v. Heat UNDER 217 | 115-122 | Loss | -110 | 10 h 0 m | Show
The red-hot Miami Heat will take a six-game winning streak into a matchup against the visiting Brooklyn Nets on Thursday. The Heat enter off a 115-105 victory over the Charlotte Hornets on Tuesday, which wrapped up a 4-0 road trip. Brooklyn has a much more modest two-game win streak, including its most recent victory, 124-104 over the Orlando Magic on Tuesday. Brooklyn was without two starters in that game due to injuries: shooting guard Cam Thomas (ankle) and point guard Ben Simmons (back). Thomas leads the Nets in scoring at 26.9 points per game, and his status is uncertain. Simmons tops the squad in rebounds (10.8) and assists (6.7) but has played just six games. Nets coach Jacque Vaughn said Simmons, who hasn't played since Nov. 6, will be out at least one more week. With Simmons in the lineup this season, the Nets are averaging 118.2 points per game, and without him, they are scoring 105.6 points. |

11-15-23 | Kings v. Lakers UNDER 235.5 | Top | 125-110 | Win | 100 | 10 h 28 m | Show |
With De'Aaron Fox back in the fold, the Sacramento Kings visit the Los Angeles Lakers on Wednesday, looking to solve what has ailed them on the road in the early part of the season. Fox returned from a five-game absence Monday to score 28 points with six assists in 36 minutes of a 132-120 home victory over the Cleveland Cavaliers. But outside of its own building, Sacramento is just 1-3 and on a three-game road losing streak. The last time Fox took the court before Monday, it was in a 132-127 overtime victory over the Lakers at home on Oct. 29. Fox sprained his right ankle in that game but looked as spry as ever in his most recent game. |

11-15-23 | Celtics -4.5 v. 76ers | Top | 117-107 | Win | 100 | 9 h 30 m | Show |
The Philadelphia 76ers won't have much time to dwell on their 132-126 loss Tuesday to the Indiana Pacers in the NBA in-season tournament. A night after seeing their eight-game winning streak snap, the 76ers host the rival Boston Celtics on Wednesday. Joel Embiid hit all 17 free throws and finished with 39 points and 12 rebounds. De'Anthony Melton scored 30 points, Tyrese Maxey added 27 and Tobias Harris had 22. But while the Sixers pulled within four twice in the final 30 seconds, it wasn't enough. |

11-15-23 | Bucks v. Raptors OVER 227.5 | Top | 128-112 | Win | 100 | 8 h 54 m | Show |
The Milwaukee Bucks will be looking for a better result when they visit the Toronto Raptors for the second time in two weeks Wednesday night. The Bucks were dominated 130-111 on their first visit of the season to Toronto on Nov. 1. Both teams go into Wednesday after winning on Monday. The Raptors returned from a 2-2 road trip and opened a four-game homestand with a 111-107 comeback victory over the Washington Wizards after trailing by 23 points. The Bucks, who had lost their previous two games, defeated the visiting Chicago Bulls 118-109. In their game against Washington, the Raptors still trailed by 15 points early in the fourth quarter and finished the game on a 21-1 run. Pascal Siakam hit the go-ahead basket with eight seconds to play and finished with a season-best 39 points -- 29 in the second half. It was the fourth-largest comeback in franchise history and the team's second largest fourth-quarter comeback. The Raptors overcame a 22-point deficit to defeat the host San Antonio Spurs on Nov. 5. |

11-14-23 | Grizzlies +5.5 v. Lakers | 107-134 | Loss | -110 | 13 h 9 m | Show
After a start to the regular season that did not meet expectations, the Los Angeles Lakers will embrace another chance to participate in the NBA in-season tournament when they play host to the Memphis Grizzlies on Tuesday. The Lakers were just 3-5 and on a three-game losing streak when they played their first in-season tournament game Friday and pulled off a 122-119 victory on the road against the Phoenix Suns. Los Angeles rode the momentum from that contest to earn a 116-110 home victory over the Portland Trail Blazers on Sunday in a game that was not tournament-related. The Lakers prevailed despite LeBron James sitting out for the first time this season while nursing a left calf contusion. James is listed as questionable to return on Tuesday. The Lakers believe they have uncovered a strategy that has helped forge back-to-back victories. Because of slow starts, Cam Reddish has been used as a starter the past two games, while Austin Reaves has come off the bench. Los Angeles still trailed after one quarter against the Suns, but the Lakers' 31-28 lead after 12 minutes against the Blazers, helped by 10 points from Reddish, was the first time they led after one period this season. There still is work to be done for Lakers coach Darvin Ham. As nice as it was to pull off the victory Sunday, the Blazers were extremely short-handed because of injuries. |

11-14-23 | Spurs v. Thunder OVER 236.5 | Top | 87-123 | Loss | -115 | 10 h 55 m | Show |
Two of the early favorites for NBA Rookie of the Year meet when Victor Wembanyama and the visiting San Antonio Spurs face Chet Holmgren and the Oklahoma City Thunder on Tuesday. Both teams are looking for their first in-season tournament wins. Oklahoma City has dropped games to Sacramento and Golden State, while San Antonio lost its tournament opener to Minnesota. Wembanyama, the No. 1 pick in this year's NBA Draft, has been fantastic, averaging 19.7 points, 8.8 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 2.4 blocks. In Sunday's loss to Miami, Wembanyama was just 8-for-22 from the field but dished out seven assists to go with 18 points and 11 boards. |

11-14-23 | Heat v. Hornets UNDER 222.5 | Top | 111-105 | Win | 100 | 10 h 43 m | Show |
The Miami Heat have shown the ability to overcome tough situations and win games; the Charlotte Hornets would be wise to pick up that trait. The teams, with vastly different trends, meet Tuesday night in Charlotte, N.C. The Heat hold a five-game winning streak following Sunday night's 118-113 comeback victory at San Antonio. Spoelstra called it a "character game," and that's probably what the Hornets need to get going in the right direction. |
|||||||
11-13-23 | Cavs v. Kings UNDER 221.5 | Top | 120-132 | Loss | -110 | 10 h 0 m | Show |
Two teams looking to build upon impressive wins go head-to-head on Monday night when the Cleveland Cavaliers visit the Sacramento Kings. After uninspiring starts to the season, the Cavaliers and Kings showed flashes of their 2023 playoff form when Cleveland won 118-110 at Golden State on Saturday, one day after Sacramento defeated the visiting Oklahoma City Thunder 105-98. Finally able to settle into a rotation with Jarrett Allen and Caris LeVert, the Cavaliers used balanced scoring to get the better of Golden State in the continuation of a four-game trip. LeVert had 22 points off the bench to pace Cleveland, while all five starters -- Donovan Mitchell (21 points), Darius Garland (19), Evan Mobley (19), Max Strus (16) and Allen (12) -- also scored in double figures. Even backup Dean Wade, who had just eight points, contributed two key 3-pointers as the Cavaliers were staving off a Warriors rally early in the fourth quarter. Cleveland coach J.B. Bickerstaff singled out LeVert afterward, taking time to point out a buzzer-beating tip-in at the end of the third period after the Cavaliers had blown a 17-point lead to fall behind by one. |

11-13-23 | Bulls v. Bucks -9 | Top | 109-118 | Push | 0 | 8 h 9 m | Show |
The Milwaukee Bucks will bid to bounce back from consecutive losses on the road when they host the Chicago Bulls on Monday night. Milwaukee dropped a 126-124 decision to the Indiana Pacers on Thursday night and a 112-97 setback to the Orlando Magic two days later. Giannis Antetokounmpo backed up his 54-point night in Indiana with a 35-point, 10-rebound, seven-assist performance vs. Orlando. With Damian Lillard sitting out a second straight game due to a sore left calf, backup point guard Cameron Payne was second on the team in scoring with 14 against the Magic. |

11-13-23 | Knicks v. Celtics OVER 221.5 | 98-114 | Loss | -113 | 8 h 34 m | Show
The Boston Celtics rebounded from last week's back-to-back losses to Minnesota and Philadelphia and can stretch their winning streak to three games when they host the New York Knicks on Monday night. Boston ended its two-game skid with a 121-107 victory over Brooklyn on Friday, then beat Toronto 117-94 on Saturday. The win against Toronto improved Boston's home record to 4-0. |
|||||||
11-12-23 | Blazers v. Lakers UNDER 220 | 110-116 | Loss | -110 | 11 h 55 m | Show
Portland has shot below 50.0% from the field in its last 11 games against the Lakers. That is the Blazers' second-longest active such streak against any opponent, behind only a 20-game streak against the Nets.The Blazers have outscored their opponent in five of their eight fourth quarters this season, however they rank last in the NBA in the fourth quarter in both field goal percentage (37.4%) and three-point percentage (22.8%).

|||||||
11-12-23 | Nuggets v. Rockets OVER 216 | Top | 104-107 | Loss | -110 | 9 h 43 m | Show |
Denver Nuggets coach Michael Malone was unwilling to wait for the less experienced members of his rotation to join the fight against the Golden State Warriors and, with three days between that showdown and the Nuggets' next game, a Sunday road game against the Houston Rockets, Malone opted to lean heavily on his veterans. As is usually the case, Malone pushed the right buttons. The Nuggets fashioned a late rally and claimed a hard-earned 108-105 victory over the Warriors on Wednesday that extended their winning streak to four games. All five Denver starters logged at least 32 minutes. The lone reserve to produce a positive plus/minus was veteran swingman Justin Holiday. With the game in the balance, the Nuggets turned to experienced hands and secured a win against a worthy Western Conference foe. With their next game against the presumably shakier Rockets, Denver could afford to push all of its chips to the center of the table. |
|||||||
11-12-23 | Heat v. Spurs +1.5 | Top | 118-113 | Loss | -115 | 8 h 51 m | Show |
The host San Antonio Spurs look to get back on the winning track when they square off against the surging but short-handed Miami Heat on Sunday in an interconference matchup. The Spurs have lost four straight games, including a 117-110 setback at home to Minnesota on Friday in the team's first game of the NBA's in-season tournament. Victor Wembanyama and Devin Vassell scored 29 points each for San Antonio, with Jeremy Sochan adding 14 and Zach Collins chipping in 11. San Antonio led for the majority of the first half but let the win get away in the third quarter, when it was outscored by 15. The Spurs made a spirited run in the final minutes, cutting their deficit to five points but could not get over the hump. The rally was a change from San Antonio's previous two losses, when it fell by an average of 31 points. |

11-11-23 | Heat v. Hawks -7 | Top | 117-109 | Loss | -110 | 7 h 57 m | Show |
At the outset of a minimum two-week stretch without their leading scorer, the Miami Heat might need to get creative beginning Saturday at the Atlanta Hawks. Tyler Herro sustained a Grade 2 ankle sprain when he landed on the foot of Memphis' Jaren Jackson Jr. during the first quarter of Wednesday's 108-102 victory over the Memphis Grizzlies. Without Herro's 22.9 points per game, where will coach Erik Spoelstra find his offense? Naturally, Bam Adebayo (22.7 points per game) is top of mind after he followed up a triple-double against the Los Angeles Lakers on Monday with a season-high 30 points versus the Grizzlies. Jimmy Butler (18.4 ppg) is capable of keeping the scoreboard operator busy. However, he joined fellow forward Caleb Martin in being ruled out for Saturday's game. Butler is dealing with a personal family issue, while Martin is hobbled by a knee injury. The 37-year-old Kyle Lowry stepped up with a season-high 17 points on Wednesday to help Miami notch its third straight win. Lowry is the elder statesman of the team. And perhaps it's time for the youngest member of the club to step up when called upon. |

11-11-23 | Raptors +8.5 v. Celtics | 94-117 | Loss | -115 | 6 h 21 m | Show
The Toronto Raptors will chase a third consecutive road victory when they face the Boston Celtics on Saturday night. It will be the final stop on a four-game road trip for Toronto, which opened the trek with a 114-99 loss to the Philadelphia 76ers before beating the San Antonio Spurs 123-116 in overtime and topping the Dallas Mavericks 127-116. The Raptors erased a 22-point deficit in their victory at San Antonio on Sunday, then Pascal Siakam hit season highs in points (31) and rebounds (12) during the Wednesday win at Dallas. Siakam made 15 of his 25 shots from the field against the Mavericks. Siakam averaged a career-high 24.2 points per game last season. He enters the Saturday contest putting up 17.4 points in 35.8 minutes per game this season. |

11-11-23 | Bucks v. Magic OVER 231 | Top | 97-112 | Loss | -112 | 5 h 17 m | Show |
The Orlando Magic will try to avoid a three-game losing skid when they welcome the visiting Milwaukee Bucks on Saturday for an Eastern Conference matchup. Milwaukee comes into Orlando off a 126-124 loss on Thursday at Indiana, despite 54 points from Giannis Antetokounmpo. The outburst in which Antetokounmpo shot 19-of-25 from the floor and 16-of-18 from the foul line marked his season scoring-high, and was the seventh 50-plus-point game of his career. Thursday was the fourth time in the calendar year Antetokounmpo reached 50 points, after doing so three times from Jan. 3 through Feb. 2 last season. The two-time Most Valuable Player registered his season high one night after recording a season-low of 15 points in just 21:52 of playing time Wednesday in a 120-118 win over Detroit after receiving two technical foul calls. |

11-10-23 | Wolves v. Spurs OVER 225.5 | Top | 117-110 | Win | 100 | 10 h 0 m | Show |
The San Antonio Spurs and visiting Minnesota Timberwolves, a pair of teams going in opposite directions in over the past week, square off on Friday in the Alamo City as they begin play in the NBA's in-season tournament. The Timberwolves head to San Antonio carrying a four-game winning streak and on the heels of a 122-101 home victory over New Orleans on Wednesday. Minnesota also defeated powerhouses Denver and Boston in building its streak, and all five of its wins this season have come at home. Anthony Edwards led Minnesota over New Orleans with 26 points. Karl-Anthony Towns added 23 points on 9-for-12 shooting and Rudy Gobert registered a double-double with 17 points and 21 rebounds. Minnesota's defense was stifling, coming a late-3-pointer away from keeping its opponent under 100 points for the third time in the last four games. |

11-10-23 | Jazz +5 v. Grizzlies | Top | 127-121 | Win | 100 | 10 h 53 m | Show |
The Utah Jazz and Memphis Grizzlies play each other for the second time in 10 days Friday, but things are a bit different this time around. For starters, this will be an in-season tournament game and will be played in Memphis. The Jazz, who beat the Grizzlies 133-109 on Nov. 1 in Salt Lake City, will also be playing without their starting center. Walker Kessler is sidelined for at least two weeks with an injured left elbow. |
|||||||
11-10-23 | Nets v. Celtics UNDER 228.5 | 107-121 | Win | 100 | 9 h 26 m | Show
The Brooklyn Nets will attempt to extend their road winning streak to four games when they visit the Boston Celtics on Friday night. After starting the season with back-to-back losses, the Nets posted road wins against Charlotte (133-121), Miami (109-105) and Chicago (109-107). Brooklyn then lost two in a row at home before beating the Los Angeles Clippers 109-103 at home on Wednesday. The Nets trailed 21-13 after the first quarter of Wednesday's win, but they outscored the Clippers in each of the next three quarters. |
|||||||
11-09-23 | Hawks v. Magic +3.5 | Top | 120-119 | Win | 100 | 12 h 22 m | Show |
The early season contest between the Atlanta Hawks and Orlando Magic will have a different perspective with a visit to Mexico City on Thursday night. According to the NBA, it marks the first time the Hawks will play in Mexico. The Magic played games against the Chicago Bulls and Utah Jazz in Mexico in December 2018. Orlando won both games on that visit and will look to bounce back from a 117-102 home loss to the Dallas Mavericks on Monday. The Magic led by as many as 15 points before wilting. Orlando was outscored 64-36 in the second half. The Magic made 7 of 11 3-point attempts (63.6 percent) in the first half but were a frigid 1 of 16 (6.2 percent) in the second half. |

11-09-23 | Bucks -2.5 v. Pacers | 124-126 | Loss | -115 | 10 h 46 m | Show
Two Eastern Conference foes playing the second night of back-to-backs face off as the Indiana Pacers oppose the Milwaukee Bucks on Thursday night in Indianapolis. Milwaukee comes in off a late comeback win against the visiting Detroit Pistons, 120-118. Notably, the Bucks rallied without Giannis Antetokounmpo, who was ejected early in the third quarter when he received second technical foul of the night, for staring down an opponent after a dunk. Damian Lillard stepped up with 34 points -- including 18 in the fourth quarter. Bobby Portis added 18 off the bench and Brook Lopez was a force down low, scoring 14 while grabbing six boards and blocking four shots. |

11-08-23 | Warriors v. Nuggets UNDER 227 | 105-108 | Win | 100 | 13 h 50 m | Show
Michael Malone made a bold statement in June, right after he coached the Nuggets to the first NBA title in franchise history -- Denver could win it all again. Eight games into the season, and the Nuggets look hungry to repeat as champs, but so far, they've been given few big tests to pass. However, Denver will face a challenge on Wednesday night when it opposes the visiting Golden State Warriors. The matchup features the two most recent title winners, and both look as if they could meet deep in the playoffs next spring. Golden State has an aging group that could have one or two more title runs in it, but through eight games, age is serving the Warriors well. Stephen Curry, 35, has been Golden State's leading scorer in every game, while Chris Paul, 38, tops the team with an average of 7.8 assists per contest. Paul, acquired in the offseason, committed six turnovers through the season's first four games but hasn't given the ball away since. He scored a season-high 17 points in 120-109 a win at Detroit on Monday night as Golden State played on the road for the sixth time in the past seven games. (FLM) |

11-08-23 | Spurs +10.5 v. Knicks | Top | 105-126 | Loss | -110 | 10 h 17 m | Show |
Fans in New York are looking forward to the opportunity to watch potentially generational talent Victor Wembanyama for the first time Wednesday night. Wembanyama and the rest of the San Antonio Spurs are just looking to avoid once again flirting with making an ignoble bit of history. The Spurs will aim to bounce back from another lopsided defeat Wednesday, when they conclude a two-game road trip by visiting the New York Knicks in the first game of the season between the teams. Both teams were off Tuesday after playing Monday, when the Spurs were routed by the Indiana Pacers 152-111 and the host Knicks mounted a fourth-quarter surge to beat the Los Angeles Clippers 111-97. The 152 points were the most allowed in regulation by the Spurs under Gregg Popovich, who is in his 28th season as head coach. San Antonio edged the Washington Wizards 157-153 in double overtime on Feb. 25, 2022. The defeat also marked the second time this season the Spurs have lost by at least 40 points. They fell to the Clippers 123-83 on Oct. 29. The 41-point margin of defeat Monday was the third-largest for San Antonio in the Popovich era behind a 143-100 loss to the Toronto Raptors on Nov. 2, 2022, and a 111-69 loss to the Chicago Bulls on March 5, 1997. The Spurs, generally known for stingy defense under Popovich, are allowing 125.9 points per game this season, second-most in the NBA. They allowed an NBA-worst 123.1 points per game last season. 11-08-23 | Jazz v. Pacers UNDER 243.5 | Top | 118-134 | Loss | -110 | 10 h 17 m | Show |
Unlike their next opponent, the Indiana Pacers are on an offensive roll heading into Wednesday night's game in Indianapolis against the Utah Jazz. In their past three games, they've scored at least 121 points, including a 50-point quarter against the Hornets and a 152-point outburst against the Spurs. Indiana's most recent performance also gave Pacers coach Rick Carlisle his 900th career victory, including 245 wins in two different stints as the bench boss in Indianapolis. Carlisle's milestone came against Hall of Fame coach Gregg Popovich, who has a whopping 1,369 wins and is the NBA's all-time winningest coach. |

11-06-23 | Lakers +1.5 v. Heat | 107-108 | Win | 100 | 10 h 25 m | Show
Los Angeles comes into the final game of Miami's homestand for the second date of a four-game road trip. The Lakers kicked off the swing Saturday with a 120-101 loss to the Orlando Magic. Los Angeles was outrebounded 51-40 and surrendered 19 offensive rebounds, which the Magic converted into a 36-15 edge in second-chance points. I expect a better effort and SU win tonight. |

11-06-23 | Clippers v. Knicks OVER 224.5 | Top | 97-111 | Loss | -110 | 10 h 21 m | Show |
The James Harden Show returns to New York on Monday night. But the New York Knicks are more concerned with ensuring they are more than the Jalen Brunson Show. Harden will make his 2023-24 debut Monday, when he and the Los Angeles Clippers visit the Knicks in the first clash of the season between the teams. The Clippers have been off since Wednesday, when they fell to the host Los Angeles Lakers 130-125 in overtime. The Knicks dropped their opener in the NBA's in-season tournament Friday 110-105 against the host Milwaukee Bucks. Harden, who was acquired from the Philadelphia 76ers in a three-way deal with the Oklahoma City Thunder on Tuesday, watched from the sidelines Wednesday as the Clippers' 11-game winning streak against their L.A. rival ended. The Clippers, who will add Harden to a starting lineup that includes stars Paul George, Kawhi Leonard and Russell Westbrook, are the latest franchise hoping Harden will be the missing piece for a championship-caliber super team. But Harden played a total of just 159 games for the Brooklyn Nets and 76ers since January 2021. He said Thursday that he felt limited for Philadelphia last season, when he averaged 21.0 points per game -- his fewest since his third year in the league -- but led the NBA with 10.7 assists per game while collecting five triple-doubles. 11-06-23 | Warriors v. Pistons UNDER 229 | Top | 120-109 | Push | 0 | 10 h 12 m | Show |
Golden State saw its five-game winning streak snapped by Cleveland on Sunday. The Warriors won't have to wait long to try to start a new one. They'll finish a back-to-back set in Detroit on Monday. Golden State had all of its stars available against the Cavaliers but endured a poor shooting performance in the 115-104 defeat. The Warriors shot 36.2 percent from the field and 66.7 percent from the free-throw line. Stephen Curry led them in scoring with 28 points but he also committed six turnovers. Chris Paul had a rough game off the bench, contributing just five points on 2-for-10 shooting and two assists. |
|||||||
11-05-23 | Grizzlies v. Blazers OVER 216.5 | 112-100 | Loss | -110 | 11 h 45 m | Show
The Portland Trail Blazers dealt the Memphis Grizzlies more misery in the first contest of a two-game set. Now the Trail Blazers look to make it a sweep when they entertain Memphis again on Sunday night in Portland. The Trail Blazers trailed by 10 points with 3:21 left in regulation on Friday night before using a 12-2 run and a superb defensive play by Shaedon Sharpe to push the game into overtime. Portland led by seven in the extra session before prevailing 115-113. The disappointing loss dropped the Grizzlies to 0-6, their worst start since losing 13 straight games to begin the 2002-03 season. The victory was the third straight for the Trail Blazers. |

11-05-23 | Warriors v. Cavs -1.5 | Top | 104-115 | Win | 100 | 8 h 54 m | Show |
The Cavs have lost 12 straight games against the Warriors, but yet we're looking at Cleveland as a favorite. Something smells in this one. |

11-05-23 | Raptors -3.5 v. Spurs | 123-116 | Win | 100 | 5 h 8 m | Show
The Raptors have won five straight games against the Spurs, with the last four all coming by double digits. Toronto had never previously won more than two consecutive games against San Antonio.

11-04-23 | Celtics v. Nets OVER 227.5 | 124-114 | Win | 100 | 10 h 15 m | Show
The Celtics and Nets meet for the first time after Boston took three of four last season. The Celtics have won six of the last seven overall and are winning by an average margin of 17.0 --including five double-digit wins and three by 20 or more.The Celtics on Wednesday defeated the Pacers, 155-104, their second-most points scored in a game (1959 -- 173). The 51-point margin of victory was tied for third-largest in franchise history (Jan. 2022 -- 53 and Dec. 2018 -- 56).
|
|||||||
11-04-23 | Jazz v. Wolves UNDER 225 | Top | 95-123 | Win | 100 | 10 h 10 m | Show |
The Jazz are off to their worst start through six games since 2014-15 when they started 2-4. This includes being outscored by a total of 22 points over that span -- Utah's highest opponent scoring margin through six games since 2014-15 (29).
It won't make up for what happened in the 2023 playoffs, but the Minnesota Timberwolves are riding high into Saturday's game in Minneapolis against the Utah Jazz after picking up a big victory in their most recent performance. On Wednesday, the Timberwolves handed the reigning NBA champion Denver Nuggets their first loss of the 2023-24 season with a 110-89 blowout victory at home. Anthony Edwards scored 24 points for Minnesota, Karl-Anthony Towns contributed 21 points and eight rebounds and Mike Conley hit 7 of 9 shots for 17 points in the start-to-finish win. |

11-03-23 | Mavs +6.5 v. Nuggets | 114-125 | Loss | -110 | 13 h 54 m | Show
The Denver Nuggets won their first NBA title in June. Five months later they begin the journey for another trophy -- but not one named for Larry O'Brien. The inaugural NBA in-season tournament starts Friday and Denver will host the Dallas Mavericks to open the West Group B play. The Houston Rockets, Los Angeles and New Orleans Pelicans are also part of the group. The tournament will culminate with the semifinals and final in Las Vegas on Dec. 7 and 9. The winner will take home the NBA Cup. The games in the tournament, with the exception of the final, will count in the regular-season standings so there is something on the line other than pride. For the Nuggets, that means bouncing back from their first loss of the season, a 110-89 rout at Minnesota on Wednesday night. The teams met in the first round of the playoffs last spring, won by Denver in five games. The Timberwolves exacted a little revenge with a wire-to-wire win and served notice that the Nuggets are a marked team. |

11-03-23 | Knicks v. Bucks -5.5 | Top | 105-110 | Loss | -110 | 10 h 18 m | Show |
Most teams welcoming a new coach and a seven-time All-Star likely would experience a few growing pains, and the Milwaukee Bucks are proving to be no exception. After splitting their first four games, the Bucks' adjustment period continues when they face the visiting New York Knicks on Friday in their first game of the NBA's inaugural in-season tournament. Milwaukee coach Adrian Griffin is looking for an improved defensive effort after his team lost 130-111 to the Toronto Raptors on Wednesday. Malik Beasley scored 20 points to lead the Bucks, who acquired star guard Damian Lillard from the Portland Trail Blazers in late September. After scoring 39 points in an opening-night win, Lilliard has averaged 15.3 in his past three games. The Bucks also are in a transition period as Griffin looks to integrate Lillard into a starting rotation that includes Khris Middleton, Brook Lopez and Giannis Antetokounmpo. Everyone involved is eager to start becoming more consistent on both ends of the floor. That transition stops tonight, Milwaukee rolls. |

11-03-23 | Cavs -2 v. Pacers | Top | 116-121 | Loss | -115 | 10 h 11 m | Show |
The Cleveland Cavaliers and Indiana Pacers get the honor of being the first two participants in the new NBA in-season tournament when they tip off the event Friday night in Indianapolis. Seven games are slated on opening night of the soccer-inspired tournament -- none earlier than the scheduled tip in Indiana -- during which the Cavaliers and Pacers will join the Philadelphia 76ers, Atlanta Hawks and Detroit Pistons in round-robin play in East Group A. The game is a rematch of the Pacers' 125-113 win at Cleveland last Saturday, a contest in which Indiana reserve Aaron Nesmith scorched the Cavaliers for 26 points while the hosts were without star guard Donovan Mitchell. Indiana, which was 2-0 at the time, has since struggled, falling 112-105 at home to the Chicago Bulls and then 155-104 at Boston on Wednesday night. The 105- and 104-point efforts came after the Pacers had scorched the Washington Wizards and Cavaliers for an average of 134 points in their first two games. |

11-02-23 | Spurs v. Suns -8 | Top | 132-121 | Loss | -110 | 13 h 7 m | Show |
The San Antonio Spurs won the first of two matchups with the Phoenix Suns in stunning fashion. Now the Spurs will attempt to make it a sweep in the rematch on Thursday night in Phoenix. San Antonio never led in Tuesday's contest until Keldon Johnson put the ball through the net with 1.2 seconds left. The hoop came shortly after Victor Wembanyama dunked home a putback with 6.8 seconds remaining to bring San Antonio within one. Phoenix star Kevin Durant received the inbounds pass and was waiting to get fouled in the right corner by Tre Jones. But Johnson came in and stole the ball from Durant with just over four seconds left and drove for the decisive basket. (FLM) |

11-02-23 | Pistons v. Pelicans OVER 216.5 | Top | 116-125 | Win | 100 | 11 h 17 m | Show |
The New Orleans Pelicans overcame a 22-point deficit to win Wednesday night. The Detroit Pistons lost despite holding an 18-point lead Wednesday night. Both teams will complete back-to-back sets when the Pelicans host the Pistons on Thursday night. CJ McCollum scored 29 points to lead New Orleans' comeback in a 110-106 road victory over the Oklahoma City Thunder. He made 10 of 17 field-goal attempts, including 5 of 8 3-point attempts, and added 11 rebounds and five assists (FLM) |

11-02-23 | Raptors v. 76ers UNDER 216.5 | 99-114 | Win | 100 | 10 h 10 m | Show
The new-look Philadelphia 76ers will host the Toronto Raptors on Thursday in their first game since trading away James Harden. The Sixers sent Harden, Filip Petrusev and P.J. Tucker to the Los Angeles Clippers in a complicated three-team deal that also included the Oklahoma City Thunder. Philadelphia acquired Nicolas Batum, Robert Covington, Kenyon Martin Jr. and Marcus Morris Sr. from the Clippers. The trade, officially announced Wednesday after news broke late Monday night, also involved a variety of draft picks and pick swaps. For now, the Sixers will look markedly different, though Harden did not suit up in any of the team's first three games following his offseason falling out with Philadelphia president of basketball operations Daryl Morey. It is unclear if the newest Sixers will be available to play against the Raptors.(FLM) |

11-01-23 | Hornets v. Rockets UNDER 223 | Top | 119-128 | Loss | -110 | 25 h 20 m | Show |
At no point was there an expectation that the Houston Rockets, with their mix of youthful holdovers and new veterans, would make everything work with precision from the onset. There will be growing pains, and cohesion will take time. Case in point: After erasing what had been a 16-point deficit against the Golden State Warriors on Sunday, the Rockets took their first lead since late in the first quarter when Jalen Green scored through a foul for an 87-85 advantage with 6:42 left to play. What followed for Houston, which will host the Charlotte Hornets on Wednesday, was a disjointed stretch that resulted in the Warriors reeling off a 15-2 run en route to a 106-95 win. Green failed to convert the three-point play, and the Rockets missed six consecutive shots to grease the skids to their demise, with frantic, hurried attempts at the rim their undoing. (FLM) Part of growth is inconsistency. The offensive explosion you saw against Brooklyn will not be a factor tonight. |

11-01-23 | Pelicans v. Thunder -3.5 | Top | 110-106 | Loss | -110 | 23 h 43 m | Show |
The New Orleans Pelicans are no strangers to adversity. It's been a constant theme in recent years as Zion Williamson and others have missed significant playing time. The Pelicans hope the latest bit of misfortune will be a bump in the road, though it could stretch through Wednesday's road game against the Oklahoma City Thunder. New Orleans star forward Brandon Ingram is listed as questionable for the game after being scratched from Monday's loss to Golden State about an hour before tip-off due to right knee soreness. The Pelicans did get some good news concerning Ingram's knee, though. |

10-31-23 | Magic v. Clippers -6 | Top | 102-118 | Win | 100 | 11 h 53 m | Show |
Los Angeles has scored 364 points through three games -- fifth most in the NBA. The 364 points are the Clippers' second most through three games in franchise history (2019-20, 375).We know the history between these two clubs favors the Magic, but the Clippers are a better team and the number indicates oddsmakers feel the same.

10-31-23 | Spurs +7.5 v. Suns | 115-114 | Win | 100 | 10 h 19 m | Show
The Spurs fell against the Clippers on the road Sunday, 123-83. The 40-point margin of defeat was the first in the NBA this season, and the Spurs had two such defeats of 40+ last season - tied most such games in the NBA (Nets, Bucks, Blazers).I think this number is a trap and we're not falling for it.

|||||||
10-31-23 | Knicks v. Cavs UNDER 214.5 | Top | 109-91 | Win | 100 | 8 h 3 m | Show |
The Knicks fell to the Pelicans on the road Saturday, 96-87, while shooting 18.9% (7/37) from three. The Knicks have lost 49 games when scoring fewer than 90 points and making fewer than ten threes since 2015-16, the third-most losses in the NBA over that span (Pistons -- 53 and Magic - 50).

|||||||
10-30-23 | Magic v. Lakers UNDER 219.5 | 103-106 | Win | 100 | 14 h 41 m | Show
The task only gets harder for the undefeated Orlando Magic, who are set for a back-to-back at Los Angeles this week with the first game of the pair on Monday against the Lakers. The Magic have two victories in two games, and while the wins did not exactly come against a pair of NBA powers, Orlando has been able to do what has been asked of it so far. After winning their season opener on Wednesday at home against the Houston Rockets, the Magic went on the road for the first time Friday and pulled off a 102-97 victory over the Portland Trail Blazers. Franz Wagner scored 23 points in the victory for Orlando, while Cole Anthony added 18 off the bench. Moritz Wagner also delivered from the bench with 17 points. |

10-30-23 | Mavs v. Grizzlies UNDER 229 | Top | 125-110 | Loss | -110 | 11 h 56 m | Show |
Luka Doncic will aim to continue his strong start to the 2023-24 season when he leads the Dallas Mavericks on the road on Monday for a matchup with a Memphis Grizzlies team seeking its first win. Doncic followed up his season-opening triple-double of 33 points, 13 rebounds and 10 assists in a win over San Antonio with 49 points, 10 rebounds and seven assists Friday in a 125-120 defeat of the Brooklyn Nets. Fourteen of Doncic's points vs. the Nets came in the final 3:22, including four 3-pointers. Memphis is seeking its footing while Morant serves a 25-game suspension for detrimental conduct. The Grizzlies are winless through three games to open the season after dropping a 113-106 decision on Saturday at Washington. Each of Memphis' three losses to open the campaign have been by seven points or fewer -- 111-104 last Wednesday vs. New Orleans and 108-104 on Friday vs. reigning champion Denver -- but the Grizzlies dug a 25-point hole in Saturday's contest before their attempted rally fell short. |
|||||||
10-30-23 | Blazers +7.5 v. Raptors | Top | 99-91 | Win | 100 | 11 h 50 m | Show |
The Toronto Raptors know that they must begin to find better scoring chances for Pascal Siakam starting Monday night against the visiting Portland Trail Blazers. Siakam scored only 11 points Saturday night in a 114-107 home loss to the Philadelphia 76ers in the return of former Toronto coach Nick Nurse. The Raptors, who were playing the second of back-to-back games on Saturday, will be facing a team playing its second game in two nights. Portland opened a three-game road trip with a 126-98 loss to the 76ers on Sunday night. The Trail Blazers are winless in three games this season. Despite that, seven points is too many to give up with the Raptors |

10-29-23 | Lakers v. Kings -2.5 | 127-132 | Win | 100 | 12 h 51 m | Show
Since 2020-21 the Kings are 4-1 (.800) against the Lakers on the road, only the Clippers' 5-0 (1.000) record is better over that span (minimum five games at LAL).

10-29-23 | Spurs v. Clippers -8.5 | Top | 83-123 | Win | 100 | 12 h 45 m | Show |
Since 2014-15, no one has a better record against the Spurs than the Clippers, going 19-13 (.594) against them during that span.After winning five of the first six coaching matchups against Tyronn Lue, Gregg Popovich has gone 2-7 against him, including losses in each of the last four meetings. 10-29-23 | Blazers v. 76ers -9.5 | Top | 98-126 | Win | 100 | 10 h 27 m | Show |
The winless Portland Trail Blazers will continue their search for scoring in the absence of Anfernee Simons as they open a three-game trip, starting Sunday night against the Philadelphia 76ers. The Trail Blazers made the cross-country flight Saturday shackled with an 0-2 record, the first loss having been more painful than the second by virtue of Simons breaking his right thumb during a 123-111 setback against the Clippers in Los Angeles on Wednesday. Portland then immediately experienced the impact of losing its top returning scorer when the Trail Blazers put up just 97 points in their home opener, a 102-97 loss to the Orlando Magic on Friday. The Trail Blazers shot just 39.8 percent overall and went just 9 of 32 on 3-pointers. Simons is expected to miss four-to-six weeks. (Stats) |

10-28-23 | Pacers v. Cavs OVER 223.5 | 125-113 | Win | 100 | 10 h 59 m | Show
The Indiana Pacers will have the advantage of being both well rested and riding the momentum of a brilliant start to the season when they resurface Saturday night in Cleveland to duel a potentially tired Cavaliers squad. Getting double-doubles from Tyrese Haliburton and Andrew Nembhard plus double-figure scoring from six other players, the Pacers dazzled their home crowd with a 143-120 romp over the Washington Wizards on Wednesday night. Indiana hasn't played since. On a night when the Pacers displayed their improved depth, they immediately benefitted from the offseason addition of Bruce Brown, a member of the championship-winning Denver Nuggets last season. Mostly a backup in Denver, Brown started in his Pacers debut and put on a big-time show, bombing in six 3-pointers in eight attempts to account for a majority of his 24 points. |

10-28-23 | 76ers v. Raptors +4 | Top | 114-107 | Loss | -110 | 10 h 55 m | Show |
The Toronto Raptors will face former coach Nick Nurse for the first time when the Philadelphia 76ers visit on Saturday night. The Raptors have split their first two games under new coach Darko Rajakovic. They lost 104-103 in overtime to the host Chicago Bulls on Friday despite a triple-double from Scottie Barnes, who had 22 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists. Chicago's Alex Caruso sank the game-winning 3-pointer with 2.3 seconds left in OT. Toronto won its season opener at home on Wednesday, beating the Minnesota Timberwolves 97-94. The 76ers lost their first game under Nurse 118-117 to the host Milwaukee Bucks on Thursday. Nurse coached the Raptors from 2018-19 until the end of last season, when he was fired after Toronto lost a play-in game against the Bulls following a 41-41 regular season. The 76ers hired him on June 1. Nurse guided the Raptors to their only NBA championship in 2019. |

10-28-23 | Grizzlies v. Wizards OVER 227 | Top | 106-113 | Loss | -110 | 10 h 37 m | Show |
The Washington Wizards might have caught a break in their home opener when they take on the Memphis Grizzlies on Saturday. Memphis, which is coming off the second game of a back-to-back, trailed most of the game during its 108-104 home loss to the Denver Nuggets on Friday. Six Grizzlies scored in double figures in the loss. Jaren Jackson Jr. led Memphis with 21 points and Derrick Rose scored 16 points off the bench, including a go-ahead jumper late in the fourth quarter. Memphis' advantage was short-lived, however, as the Grizzlies couldn't hold off the defending NBA champions and fell to 0-2. The Grizzlies are playing without All-Star guard Ja Morant, who is serving a 25-game suspension after he was caught on video multiple times with guns. Marcus Smart, starting at point guard in Morant's absence, scored 20 points on Friday. Desmond Bane, who opened the season with 31 points and hit 5-of-10 from beyond the arc, scored 15 points Friday and went just 1-of-10 from 3-point range. |

10-27-23 | Clippers -4 v. Jazz | 118-120 | Loss | -113 | 9 h 19 m | Show
After a lopsided season-opening loss to the Sacramento Kings, the Utah Jazz are hoping to turn things around against the Los Angeles Clippers on Friday in Salt Lake City. The Clippers, meanwhile, are looking to improve to 2-0 while ending a regular-season drought at the Jazz. They have dropped 10 straight games in Utah. It would bode well for the Clippers if they play like they did in Wednesday's 123-111 victory over the Portland Trail Blazers. Paul George led the charge with 27 points and Kawhi Leonard scored 23. That potent duo played in only 38 games together last season due to injuries. |

10-27-23 | Knicks v. Hawks UNDER 229.5 | Top | 126-120 | Loss | -110 | 7 h 16 m | Show |
Different types of struggles from the field and similar issues closing out in the fourth quarter Wednesday night have the Atlanta Hawks and New York Knicks in the same position of seeking their first win Friday night, when the Hawks host the Knicks in a meeting of the longtime Eastern Conference rivals. Both teams were off Thursday after suffering narrow defeats Wednesday night, when the visiting Hawks lost to the Charlotte Hornets 116-110 and the host Knicks fell to the Boston Celtics 108-104. The Hawks led by as many as 11 points in the first half and trailed by as many as seven in the third quarter before squandering a narrow lead in the final six minutes of the fourth. The Hornets scored on 10 of their last 12 possessions, a span in which Atlanta was 4-of-11 from the field, including 1-of-7 from 3-point land. |

10-27-23 | Nuggets v. Grizzlies +6 | Top | 108-104 | Win | 100 | 7 h 55 m | Show |
The reigning NBA champion Denver Nuggets go on the road for the first time in the 2023-24 season Friday when they visit the Memphis Grizzlies. Denver began its defense of the first championship in franchise history with a 119-107 defeat of the Los Angeles Lakers on Tuesday. The 2020-21 and 2021-22 Most Valuable Player and last season's Finals MVP Nikola Jokic tipped off the campaign with a 29-point, 13-rebound, 11-assist triple-double. Jokic has averaged 19.6 points, 10.4 rebounds and 5.6 assists in 26 career matchups with Memphis. Last season, Jokic scored no more than 18 points in any of Denver's three meetings with the Grizzlies but recorded triple-doubles in each of the Nuggets' two wins. On Tuesday, all five Denver starters scored in double figures and three notched at least 20 points. Jamal Murray shot 8-of-13 from the floor, including 3-of-5 from 3-point range en route to 21, and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope went 8-of-12 from the floor for 20 points. The Nuggets also got a 12-point, 12-rebound double-double from Michael Porter Jr. in the season opener. Prior to the game, the team received its 2022-23 championship rings. |

10-26-23 | Suns v. Lakers OVER 225.5 | Top | 95-100 | Loss | -110 | 10 h 0 m | Show |
While the Phoenix Suns have a new look, they still are powered by the same engine, and Devin Booker showed on the NBA's opening night that he is ready to lead the charge again. Booker and the Suns head into a road matchup against the Los Angeles Lakers Thursday after the All-Star guard scored 32 points, including the go-ahead score just inside of five minutes remaining, of a 108-104 victory Tuesday over the Golden State Warriors. Kevin Durant scored 18 points and grabbed 11 rebounds. Jusef Nurkic had 14 points with 14 rebounds for the Suns, who finished fourth in the Western Conference last season and bowed out of the playoffs in the second round when they were overcome by the eventual champion Denver Nuggets. Durant was moved to the Suns at last season's February trade deadline but played in just eight regular-season games with his new squad and all 11 playoff games. Nurkic arrived this summer in a three-team deal. Grayson Allen also went to the Suns in that trade and started Tuesday but did not score in 21 minutes. |

10-26-23 | 76ers v. Bucks -6 | 117-118 | Loss | -110 | 7 h 23 m | Show
The buzz surrounding the Milwaukee Bucks circles around the player they added in the offseason, while the noise coming out of Philadelphia centers on the player who just returned to the 76ers after a 10-day absence. Seven-time All-Star Damian Lillard will make his Bucks debut on Thursday when they open the season against the visiting 76ers, who reportedly will be without disgruntled 10-time All-Star James Harden. Milwaukee acquired Lillard from the Portland Trail Blazers on Sept. 27 as part of a three-team trade. Lillard, 33, averaged a franchise-record 32.2 points per game in 2022-23, the third-highest clip in the league. Named one of the NBA's 75 greatest players of all-time in 2021, Lillard won Rookie of the Year honors in 2012-13 and is Portland's career leader in points (19,376) and 3-point field goals (2,387). |

10-25-23 | Blazers +9.5 v. Clippers | 111-123 | Loss | -115 | 13 h 28 m | Show
While the Portland Trail Blazers will begin a new era Wednesday, the Los Angeles Clippers will look to get more out of a tenure that has not quite delivered as expected when the teams tip off their seasons in Los Angeles. For the first time in 12 seasons, Damian Lillard will not be on the Trail Blazers' roster after he was traded to the Milwaukee Bucks in September. And while the star power of Kawhi Leonard and Paul George remains in place for the Clippers, better health combined with elite play will be vital. A run to the NBA Finals has eluded Los Angeles in the four seasons the dynamic duo has been together on the West Coast. Leonard has played just 52 games over the past two seasons because of knee issues -- and never played more than 57 in any season since joining the Clippers in 2019 -- but the club is hopeful that problem can be mitigated. George has not exactly been the picture of health either, playing in 87 of a potential 164 regular-season games over the previous two seasons. |

10-25-23 | Cavs v. Nets OVER 220.5 | Top | 114-113 | Win | 100 | 10 h 22 m | Show |
The Cleveland Cavaliers enjoyed their best season of the second post-LeBron James era and then flopped in the first round. The Brooklyn Nets retooled on the fly after trading two superstars and did not win a game in the playoffs. Coming off their first 50-win season without James on the roster since 1992-93, the Cavaliers will begin a season of high expectations on Wednesday night when they travel to New York to face the Nets, who are starting their first full season with Mikal Bridges as their featured performer. Cleveland won 51 games after improving to 44-38 in 2021-22, when its season ended with a play-in loss to the Atlanta Hawks. The Cavaliers made the leap into the top four of the East thanks to the addition of Donovan Mitchell, who averaged a career-high 28.3 points and shot a career-best 48.4 percent in 68 games. |

10-25-23 | Celtics v. Knicks +4 | Top | 108-104 | Push | 0 | 10 h 4 m | Show |
The New York Knicks mostly stood pat this summer following their most successful season in a decade. Meanwhile, after coming within one win of a second straight trip to the NBA Finals, the Boston Celtics made a series of splashy trades and signings. Neither team will have to wait long for the first referendum on their respective approaches, as host New York will face the Celtics on Wednesday night in the season opener for both teams. The Knicks finished fifth in the Eastern Conference last season at 47-35 and beat the Cleveland Cavaliers in the first round of the playoffs before falling to the eventual conference champion Miami Heat in a six-game semifinal series. Getting past the Cavaliers gave New York its first postseason series victory since the spring of 2013. The Knicks employed six coaches while missing the playoffs in the subsequent seven seasons before Tom Thibodeau arrived and steered New York to a 41-31 record and a first-round exit in the spring of 2021. |

10-24-23 | Suns v. Warriors -3 | Top | 108-104 | Loss | -110 | 10 h 8 m | Show |
Kevin Durant begins his 17th season by experiencing a first when the Phoenix Suns and Golden State Warriors tip off their 2023-24 campaigns at the Chase Center in San Francisco on Tuesday night. Immediately following the NBA opener between the Los Angeles Lakers and Denver Nuggets, with the Nuggets to receive their 2023 championship rings, the TNT spotlight will shine on the Suns and Warriors, both of whom will be beginning a quest to dethrone the defending champions. Seeded fourth and sixth, respectively, in the Western playoffs last year, the Suns and Warriors saw their championship bids end in the conference semifinals, the Suns falling in six games to the Nuggets, the Warriors likewise losing four of six to the Lakers. The opening matchup also gives the 35-year-old Durant a chance to perform in front of the fans he thrilled for three seasons while leading Golden State to championships in 2017 and 2018. He eventually left the Warriors in a sign-and-trade deal with the Brooklyn Nets, and has made just one return to the San Francisco Bay Area, that coming in February 2021 while fans were not allowed to attend games at the Chase Center due to COVID-19 precautions. He has never faced the Warriors anywhere since joining the Suns in February in a blockbuster four-team deal. Durant won't see Golden State defensive ace Draymond Green on the floor. Green missed the entire preseason with a sprained his left ankle and was ruled out of the opener on Monday. |

10-24-23 | Lakers v. Nuggets UNDER 228.5 | 107-119 | Win | 100 | 8 h 33 m | Show
The Denver Nuggets spent the offseason celebrating while the Los Angeles Lakers were simmering. Denver is in unchartered territory as the reigning NBA champions after an impressive 16-4 run through the postseason last spring. One of the teams in the Nuggets' path was Los Angeles, whom they swept in the Western Conference finals. The Lakers don't have to wait for another shot at the Nuggets, but they will have to witness them raise their championship banner when the teams open the NBA season Tuesday night in Denver. The Nuggets had never beaten Los Angeles in the playoffs before last season, and while it was a sweep, the games were close. That didn't stop Denver from relishing the series win, and head coach Michael Malone lit the fuse in the immediate aftermath of the victory. |
