In games without Caruso however, the Bulls sport a 116.0 defensive rating, which would be worst in the league by a full point. After Caruso’s unfortunate injury, the Bulls have gone just 2-2 while playing no teams currently in the playoffs, and only the Toronto Raptors in a play-in position. If the Blazers can exploit a Bulls unit currently playing like the worst defense in the league, they might be able to ride some hot shooting to a win.

Superstar center Bam Adebayo has been upgraded to questionable for this game, which could allow him to return after injuring his thumb in December. At this point in the season, all you can ask for is some positive play from some of the Kings younger pieces and general competitiveness, especially when facing a superior opponent like the Sixers. It’s pretty impressive how well Philadelphia has played this season without the three-time all-star Simmons. At 29-19, the Sixers are still one of the best teams in the East, thanks to MVP candidate Joel Embiid and a couple of really solid role players. The first matchup between these two teams is in the running for the most disappointing loss the Kings have suffered this season. With the Sixers missing all five of their starters, the Kings wilted down the stretch of a November game and lost 102-94. The second match-up will be a higher scoring game but get it now because the number is rising.

The Pacers are coming off a 113-110 overtime victory in Oklahoma City on Friday that saw the Blue & Gold rally from a 16-point third-quarter deficit to eke out the win. The biggest catalyst in the victory was the return of Domantas Sabonis. Indiana's All-Star forward returned to the floor after missing the previous four games with a sprained ankle and didn't miss a beat, putting together another virtuoso performance. Sabonis registered his fifth triple-double of the season with 24 points, 18 rebounds, and 10 assists, all team highs. As always, the biggest challenge against Dallas will be finding a way to slow down Luka Doncic. The 22-year-old phenom is averaging 25.2 points, 8.9 rebounds, and 8.7 assists per game and has helped lead the Mavs to wins in 12 of their last 15 contests.

DeMar DeRozan continued his strong form with an astounding 41 points on 71% shooting from the field. However it will alarm both Bulls fans and coaching team alike that the rest of the team combined for only 54 points. They even have an electric sixth man to help guide the offense when Mitchell sits (Jordan Clarkson). PauseCurrent Time 0:11/Duration 0:32Loaded: 100.00% HQCaptionsFullscreenUnmute0
