04-23-22 | Giants -1.5 v. Nationals | 5-2 | Win | 100 | 3 h 35 m | Show
The San Francisco Giants opened this 3-game set at Washington with a convincing win on Friday, 7-1. The Giants improved to 9-5 overall and 2nd place in the NL West. Alex Wood gets the start for the Giants and has pitched excellent after two starts. Wood has a 1-0 record with a 1.93 ERA, allowing nine hits over 9 1/3 innings with three walks and 11 KO's. The Nationals are 6-10 on the season and have now droped three straight games. During this losing streak they have scored a total of six runs and allowed 22 runs. The Nationals will start Aaron Sanchez today who just recently joined the team. Sanchez has three Triple-A starts with a 3.60 ERA and 1.48 WHIP. Don't really think it matters who the Nats start, the Giants have too many excellent pitchers. Lay the Run Line with the Giants. |

04-22-22 | Suns v. Pelicans UNDER 216 | 114-111 | Loss | -110 | 8 h 40 m | Show
The Phoenix Suns were the best team in the NBA this season and by far. So it was a bit shocking when the Suns lost game two of this series with the Pelicans on their home floor, 114-125. The Suns need to regroup as they hit the road to New Orleans here tonight for game three. For me, I'm taking the under in this game. The Suns have been a good under team, going UNDER in six of their last seven games and eight of the last 10. The Pelicans are 1-8 O/U the last nine times the won the previous game straight-up. They are also 1-7 O/U in their last eight games when they have had two days of rest. I'm going to take tonight's contest UNDER. |
|||||||
04-22-22 | Orioles v. Angels UNDER 8.5 | 5-3 | Win | 100 | 9 h 7 m | Show
The Baltimore Orioles dropped to 4-9 on the season after losing last night at Oakland, 4-6. That game also marked the first time all season that an Orioles game had gone OVER the total. The O's are now 1-11-1 O/U/P on the year. The biggest problem for the O's is the last of hitting. They have scored 3 runs or fewer in 10 of their 13 games this season. Their highest scoring output was just five runs. Bruce Zimmermann will start today. Zimmermann has no record after two starts and he has yet to allow a run over his nine innings of work with four walks and 10 KO's. With the O's lack of hitting and Zim on the mound today, this is an UNDER play for me. |
|||||||
04-22-22 | Orioles v. Angels UNDER 8.5 | 5-3 | Win | 100 | 9 h 3 m | Show

04-22-22 | Bucks v. Bulls UNDER 222.5 | 111-81 | Win | 100 | 6 h 10 m | Show
Game three of this Best of Seven Eastern Conference series moves venues tonight to Chicago as the Bulls host the Bucks. The Bucks won a low scoring game one, 93-86, but failed to cover the 10.5-point line. The Bucks lost game two, 110-114, also not coming close to the 10-point line. With the series tied 1-1, the Bulls grabbed home court and need to keep it here tonight. So far, both games have gone under. The Bucks have also gone under in three of the last four. The Bulls have gone under in five of their last six playoff games when the dog. The Bulls are also 8-17 O/U in their last 25 overall games. These teams have gone under in five of the last six meetings and that's what I'm sticking with here today. Play UNDER. |
|||||||
04-22-22 | White Sox v. Twins UNDER 7.5 | 1-2 | Win | 100 | 8 h 36 m | Show
The Chicago White Sox look to stay above .500 tonight when the take on the Twins in game one of their three-game set from Minnesota. The Sox have lost four straight games after losing last night at Cleveland, 3-6. They have not scored more than three runs in any of their last seven games. Micheal Kopech gets his third start tonight. Kopech has a 1.00 ERA over nine innings, allowing one run, three hits, four walks and eight KO's. The Twins have sputtered to a 5-8 mark through 13 games. Though they did win last night to salvage a game in their series with the Royals, 1-0. Like the Sox, this team has not hit well at all, scoring one run over their last two games and four runs over the last three games. Bailey Ober is 1-1 in his two starts as he take to the hill tonight for start number three. Ober has a 3.27 ERA over his 11 innings, allowing eight hits, four runs, three walks and seven KO's. With these two poor hitting teams and two decent pitchers I'll take the UNDER. |
|||||||
04-22-22 | Red Sox v. Rays UNDER 8.5 | 4-3 | Win | 100 | 7 h 37 m | Show
The Boston Red Sox have dropped below the .500 mark after losing two straight games and three of their last four. The Sox, like so many other teams, not hitting the ball much early in the season. They have score five runs over their last three games and have five under games in their last six games. Michael Wacha gets the start tonight with no record after two starts. Wacha has pitched well, but is a victim of poor hitting as he has just a 0.96 ERA in his two starts with a 0.857 WHIP. The Tampa Bay Rays are 7-6 overall this season and have lost two of their last two games and three of the last four. Again, a victim of poor hitting, the Rays have scored three runs or fewer in each of their last four games. They have also gone under in five of the last six games. I'm not going to change until I see teams start hitting better. Take the UNDER. |
|||||||
04-22-22 | Cardinals -117 v. Reds | 4-2 | Win | 100 | 6 h 7 m | Show
The St Louis Cardinals and Cincinnati Reds begin a 3-game set tonight. The Cardinals are coming off a loss to Miami, 0-5. However, they did take two of the three from the Marlins. In fact, the Cardinals have not lost a series yet this season. Steven Matz will start for the Cardinals today. Matz is 1-1 on the season with a 7.27 ERA and 1.499 WHIP. It was his first start of the season against Pittsburgh that did all the damage as he allowed seven runs over three innings. Matz pitched more like what we would expect in his second start against Milwaukee, going 5 2/3 innings and allowing three hits, no runs, no walks and six KO's. The Reds look to be the worst team in baseball right now with just two wins and 11 losses on the season. Moreover, they have dropped nine straight games after their loss to the Padres on Wednesday, 0-6. The offense is almost non existent, scoring three runs or fewer in eight straight games. Hunter Greene will start today with a 1-1 record after two starts, a 4.36 ERA and 1.065 WHIP. Not difficult to take the Cardinals here tonight until we see some life out this Cincinnati team. Play St Louis. |
|||||||
04-21-22 | Warriors -130 v. Nuggets | Top | 118-113 | Win | 100 | 8 h 21 m | Show |
The Golden State Warriors have had little trouble with the Denver Nuggets. Well, at least in Golden State where they won both games by 20 and 16 points. Now they have to travel to Denver and the higher elevation. Golden State has been hot, winning their last seven games S/U and going 6-1 ATS. Denver was a fair home team this year, going 25-18 S/U and a poor home covering team at 15-26 ATS. Denver is just 2-5 S/U and ATS their last seven games. Denver is also just 3-9 ATS their last 12 games vs a team with a winning S/U record. I'm going to take the Warriors on the money Line tonight. |
|||||||
04-21-22 | Cardinals v. Marlins -125 | 0-5 | Win | 100 | 6 h 46 m | Show
The St Louis Cardinals improved to 7-3 after taking the first two games of this 3-game set with the Marlins. The Cards look for the sweep today and they will send Jordan Hicks to the mound for his first ever MLB start. Hicks has had his fastball clocked at over 105 mph and has plenty of potential. However, Tommy John surgery has kept him on the shelf for most of the last 2 1/2 years. Don't expect Hicks to go past three innings here today as they Cards don't want to overuse him. The Marlins dropped to 4-7 after losing the last two games to St Louis. Pablo Lopez will make his third start of the season after a pair of very nice starts. Lopez has a 0.87 ERA over his 10 1/3 innings of work. I will take the Marlins with Lopez here today to salvage the rubber game of this set. Play Miami. |
|||||||
04-21-22 | Orioles v. A's -116 | 4-6 | Win | 100 | 3 h 42 m | Show
The Baltimore Orioles are just 4-8 on the season after their first 12 games. They got a win against two losses vs these A's, winning last night 1-0. The O's have scored one run in each of the first three games vs the A's. Tyler Wells will get the start with a 0-1 record after two starts. Well has a 6.35 ERA but pitched well in his second start vs the Yankees. He allowed just three hits over four innings with no runs. The A's dropped to 7-6 with their loss on Wednesday to the O's. They have received very good pitching this year while the hitting has been inconsistent. Paul Blackburn gets the start today with a 1-0 record after two starts. He has gone five innings in each of his starts, allowing just two total runs and posting 10 KO's and one walk. Short line here today for the A's who get the light hitting O's. I'll take Oakland. |
|||||||
04-21-22 | Twins v. Royals UNDER 8 | 1-0 | Win | 100 | 1 h 15 m | Show
The Minnesota Twins are just 4-8 after 12 games. The Twins have lost two straight games in this series with the Royals. They are also 1-4 their last five games. Joe Ryan starts today for the Twins. Ryan is 1-1 after two starts with a 2.70 ERA and 1.100 Whip. The Royals got back to the .500 mark after taking the first two games in this series. Zack Grienke will get his third start of the season for the Royals. Grienke is 0-0 with a 2.45 ERA and 1.081 WHIP. This looks to be another low scoring game with two decent pitchers on the hill. I'll take the UNDER |
|||||||
04-21-22 | Giants v. Mets -130 | 2-6 | Win | 100 | 2 h 10 m | Show
Two of the best pitching team and overall teams in baseball meet today in New York as the Mets host the Giants. The Mets have taken two of the first three in this series as they play the final of four here today. Anthony Desclafani will start for the Giants today. Desclafani has no record after two starts with a 4.32 ERA and 1.679 WHIP. The Mets are 9-4 after winning three of the last four games. They did lose last night to the Giants, 2-5. This Mets pitching staff has been excellent thus far. Carlos Carrasco starts for the Mets today. Carrasco is 0-0 in his two start but has pitched great, allowing just one total run over 10 2/3 innings of work with five hits, two walks and 13 KO's. I like the Mets and Carrasco today, they have too much for this Giants team. |
|||||||
04-21-22 | White Sox v. Guardians UNDER 8 | 3-6 | Loss | -115 | 2 h 10 m | Show
The Chicago White Sox look to snap a 3-game losing streak here today as they take on the Cleveland Guardians in the final game of their three-game set. The White Sox have scored two total runs in this series. In fact, the Sox have not scored more than three runs in any of the last six games. Dylan Cease will look to get the Sox back winning today. Cease is 2-0 in his two starts with a 1.69 ERA and 0.937 ERA. Cease has 16 KO's and just five walks. The Cleveland Guardians are 6-5 on the season and have won two straight games after a three-game losing streak. The Indians will start Zach Plesac who is 0-1 in his two starts with a 1.64 ERA and 1.00 WHIP. Plesac has seven KO's and just one walk on the season. Two very good pitchers and poor hitting White Sox team is the recipe for an UNDER. |
|||||||
04-20-22 | Capitals v. Golden Knights -139 | 3-4 | Win | 100 | 8 h 43 m | Show
This game is really simple. The VGK Golden Knights need to win. Having lost at home to New Jersey the other night makes this one so important that if they lose they likely won't make the playoffs. There are only a handful of games left and Vegas still isn't in the playoffs. So two points here is critical. I'll take a chance on the Knights tonight and see if they really want this or not. Play Vegas. |
|||||||
04-20-22 | 76ers v. Raptors +2 | Top | 104-101 | Loss | -110 | 6 h 46 m | Show |
The Toronto Raptors return home for game three of their best of seven series with the Sixers down 0-2. They lost game on in Philly, 111-131 and then lost game two, 97-112. This is a pivotal game three as they can ill afford to go down 0-3 in this series. Up until this series, the Sixers had not been a good covering team. Yet they covered both games so far in this series. The Raptors do have a few good things here in game three. They are 10-3 ATS in their last 13 home games vs a road team with a winning record. They are also 9-4 ATS in their last 13 games playing on one day rest. The Raptors are 5-1 ATS in their last six games vs the Sixers in Toronto. I'll take the Raptors here as it's do or die. Play Toronto. |
|||||||
04-20-22 | Giants v. Mets UNDER 7 | 5-2 | Push | 0 | 5 h 47 m | Show
The SF Giants hot streak has had a hose turned on it after playing the Mets. The Giants have dropped two straight and now are 7-4 on the season. They lost to the Mets in game one yesterday, 4-5 and then lost the 2nd game of the DH, 1-3. Today they send Carlos Rondon to the hill. Rondon is 1-0 in his two starts with a 1.50 ERA and 0.750 WHIP. The Mets are truly amazing with a 9-3 record. Every starting pitcher on the staff has an ERA of 2.50 or under. This is a team filled with great pitching. They send Chris Bassitt to the hill today. Bassitt is 2-0 with a 0.75 ERA and 0.667 WHIP. Two great pitchers today should mean a excellent under chance. |
|||||||
04-20-22 | Orioles v. A's UNDER 8 | 1-0 | Win | 100 | 4 h 43 m | Show
The Baltimore Orioles are 3-8 to start this new season. The Orioles lack of offense is really showing. They have scored two runs or fewer in five of their last six games and seven of their last nine games. No wonder they have been a great under play for bettors with six straight going under and and 0-1-10 o/u/p on the season. Jordan Lyles will start today. He's 0-1 after two starts with a 5.23 ERA and 1.742 WHIP. Oakland is 7-5 after winning the first two games against the Orioles. Daulton Jefferies will start today with a 1-1 record and 1.93 ERA. Don't expect Baltimore to score much here today if anything. I'll stick with the UNDER. |
|||||||
04-20-22 | Phillies v. Rockies +100 | 9-6 | Loss | -100 | 1 h 46 m | Show
The Philadelphia Phillies dropped to 4-8 on the season after losing the first two games of this series in Colorado, including last night's game, 5-6. The Phillies have now lost seven of their last eight games. They will look to Zach Eflin to get the ship back on track today. Eflin is 0-1 after two starts with a 4.50 ERA and 1.375 WHIP. Eflin has got a total of two runs of support in his first two games. He's gone eight innings and allowed eight hits and four runs. Meanwhile, Colorado improved to 8-3 on the season after their two wins. They are also 4-1 their last five games. The Rockies will send German Marquez to the hill today. Marquez has record after two starts with a 3.97 ERA and 1.236 WHIP. Marquez got hit pretty hard in his last start vs the Cubs, giving up 10 hits and four runs over 4 1/3 innings. Still, no way the Phillies should be the favorite here today. I'll take the Rockies as they look for the sweep. |
|||||||
04-19-22 | Pelicans v. Suns -9.5 | Top | 125-114 | Loss | -110 | 10 h 39 m | Show |
The Phoenix Suns showed the league why they are the best team in the NBA this year as they opened the playoffs with a decisive win over the Pelicans in game one, 110-99, covering the 10-point spread. Despite the close cover, the Suns led by double digits most of the way. Phoenix has now covered four of their last five playoff games as the favorite and is 4-0 ATS their last four quarterfinal games. New Orleans will try and avoid returning home down 0-2. They haven't done well lately against good teams, going 1-6 ATS the last seven against a winning team. They are also 0-4 ATS their last four as a dog. I don't look for Phoenix to have any more trouble then they did in game one. Of all the games in round one, this is the one that believes plays out just as it should, a Phoenix blowout. |
|||||||
04-19-22 | Reds v. Padres -1.5 | 2-6 | Win | 111 | 9 h 20 m | Show
The San Diego Padres opened their three game set with the Reds with a 4-1 win on Monday. The Padres were one of my Run Line Rout plays on Monday and they didn't disappoint. The Padres have now held their last two opponents to two total runs. They have also gone under in four straight games and nine of their 12 games this season. Doesn't look to get any easier tonight for the Reds as they face Joe Musgrove. Musgrove is 1-0 after two starts with a 1.42 ERA and 0.710 WHIP. He's allowed just nine hits and two runs over his 12 2/3 innings with 14 KO's and no walks. The Reds are in free fall right now, having lost seven straight games and nine of their last 10. They have scored two runs or fewer in four straight games and three runs or fewer in six straight games. Reiver Sanmartin will start tonight and he looks to improve after a horrendous initial start. Sanmartin went just 2 1/3 inning vs the Braves, allowing four hits and five runs in the loss. I'm looking at a San Diego blowout here tonight. |
|||||||
04-19-22 | Rays v. Cubs +105 | 6-5 | Loss | -100 | 7 h 21 m | Show
The lone Interleague game today has the Tampa Bay Rays heading over tot the Senior Circuit to take on the Chicago Cubs. The Tampa Bay Rays off to a slow start as they look to get back to the .500 mark tonight sitting at 5-6 overall. The Rays have lost five of their last six games including last night's opener with the Cubs, 2-4. They have scored three runs or fewer in five of their last six games. Matt Wisler will make his first start of the season. He's been busy for the Rays in the pen though, making five appearances over 4 2/3 innings with a 1.93 ERA and 0.86 WHIP. Wisler looks to only go two innings max here tonight, a tactic that the Rays use quite often. The Cubs improved to 6-4 on the season after Monday's win. The Cubs have won their last two games. Justin Steele makes his third start of the year for the Cubs. Steele is 1-0 with a 1.93 ERA. He's allowed nine hits and just two earned runs over 9 1/3 innings. I'll take the Cubs here tonight against a struggling Rays club. |
|||||||
04-19-22 | Giants v. Mets UNDER 6.5 | 1-3 | Win | 100 | 7 h 10 m | Show
Two of the best pitching staffs in baseball meet today in New York as the Mets host the San Francisco Giants in a doubleheader. The Giants are 7-2 and have won five straight games with three of those five going UNDER. Their pitching staff has allowed two runs or fewer in all five of those wins. In fact, they have give up more than two runs just twice the entire season. Logan Webb starts here in game 2 for the Giants. Webb has two starts under his belt and has pitched great in both, allowing just one earned run in each game. That makes him with a 1.29 ERA over 14 innings with nine hits and 10 KO's and just one walk. The Mets are 7-3 (before game one) on the season and like the Giants they don't allow many runs. They have held three opponents scoreless this season and seven of their 10 opponents have scored three or fewer runs. Max Scherzer will toe the rubber here in game two for the Mets. Scherzer is 2-0 in his two starts with a 3.27 ERA and 1.091 WHIP. Scherzer allowed just one run his last start at Philadelphia over five innings with seven KO's and three walks. I'll take the UNDER also in game two. |
|||||||
04-19-22 | Giants v. Mets UNDER 7 | 4-5 | Loss | -100 | 3 h 50 m | Show
Two of the best pitching staffs in baseball meet today in New York as the Mets host the San Francisco Giants in a doubleheader. The Giants are 7-2 and have won five straight games with three of those five going UNDER. Their pitching staff has allowed two runs or fewer in all five of those wins. In fact, they have give up more than two runs just twice the entire season. Alex Cobb starts tonight after winning his opener over the Padres. Cobb went five innings and allowed just four hits and two runs to go with 10 KO's. The Mets are 7-3 on the season and like the Giants they don't allow many runs. They have held three opponents scoreless this season and seven of their 10 opponents have scored three or fewer runs. Tylor Megill makes his third start of the season tonight with a 0.00 ERA. He's gong 10 1/3 innings, allowed just six hits and no runs to go with no walks and 11 Ko's. Great matchup on the mound here tonight. Wouldn't be surprised by a 1-0 finish. I'll take the UNDER here in game one. |
|||||||
04-18-22 | Braves v. Dodgers -1.5 | 4-7 | Win | 100 | 10 h 37 m | Show
The World Champion Atlanta Braves come to LA tonight to face the Dodgers and will also face their former All-Star 1B Freedie Freeman who now anchors the 1B bag for LA. The Braves will also bring former LA closer Jansen back to LA for the first time since being dealt to Atlanta. The Braves are just 5-6 overall and split their four game series to open this West Coast swing with the Padres. After giving up 12 runs to the Padres in the first game, they held San Diego to just six total runs the next three games. Huascar Ynoa will start here today. Ynoa went just three innings in his first start against the Nationals, allowing seven hits and five runs to take the Loss. The Dodgers are 7-2 and heavy favorites to win the World Series this year. And if former Ace Clayton Kershaw pitches like he did in his opener, those odds may go up. Kershaw left the game after seven innings with a perfect game. Some thought he should have come back out, but Dave Roberts didn't want to strain a pitcher who has had a lot of injury issues over the last years. LA looks tough and we'll see if Kershaw is near as perfect as he was in his first start. I'll lay the Run Line with the Dodgers tonight. |
|||||||
04-18-22 | Reds v. Padres -1.5 | 1-4 | Win | 120 | 9 h 7 m | Show
The Cincinnati Reds look to snap out of a bad losing streak as they have dropped six straight games to be 2-8 on the season. Problem is it won't get much better at the Padres tonight. Nick Lodolo will try to put a stop to the losing streak. He went four innings in his first start against Cleveland, allowing seven hits and five runs to collar the loss. The Padres should be salivating at the sight of the Reds coming to town. San Diego is 6-5 on the season but their last seven games have come against the Braves and Giants where they went 3-4. Sean Manaea will start his third game of the season. Manaea is 1-1 with a 1.38 ERA and 0.538 WHIP. He's allowed just two runs over 13 innings with 13 KO's and just three walks. I'll lay the Run Line here tonight with the Padres who should win this one in a Rout! |
|||||||
04-18-22 | Phillies v. Rockies +146 | Top | 1-4 | Win | 146 | 8 h 6 m | Show |
Philadelphia heads west for the first time this year as they play the Colorado Rockies. The Phillies are just 4-6 on the season and have lost five of their last six games, including Sunday's loss to the Marlins, 3-11. Aaron Nola will start for the third time this year. Nola is 1-1 with a 6.75 ERA and 1.072 WHIP thus far. Nolan went just 3 1/3 innings in his last start against the Mets, allowing three hits and three runs. The Rockies are off to a nice start at 6-3. But they still play in the NL West where four teams have at least six wins already. Chad Kuhl will start today. Kuhl went 4 1/3 innings in his first start against Texas, allowing two hits and one run. Not sure why the Phillies a fairly good sized favorite today. They have not played well and Nolan hasn't pitched all that well. Colorado is home, playing better and has the better starter on the hill. Ok, I'll take the dog price at home with Colorado. |
|||||||
04-18-22 | Jazz v. Mavs +5.5 | 104-110 | Win | 100 | 6 h 13 m | Show
Utah looks to take a commanding 2-0 lead back to Utah with a win here tonight at Dallas. the Jazz won game one, 99-93 as a 5-point favorite. The Jazz held Dallas to just 38.2% shooting from the field and 28.1% from the 3-point line. The Jazz are just 3-9 ATS their last 12 games as a road favorite. Dallas looks to eve the series tonight. The Mavs loss on Saturday was just the teams 2nd loss in their last nine games. The Mavs are also 6-2-1 ATS their last nine games. The Mavs also bounce back well, covering 16 of the last 22 times after a ATS loss. The Mavs are 10-4-1 ATS the last 15 vs the Jazz in Dallas and 5-1 ATS the last six overall. I look for a Dallas rebound tonight as they even the series. |
|||||||
04-18-22 | Angels v. Astros UNDER 9 | 3-8 | Loss | -110 | 8 h 36 m | Show
The LA Angels have won three straight games, taking three of four from the Rangers in their series. Now they play at Houston as they sit at 6-4 overall. The Angels will start Michael Lorenzen here today. Lorenzen had an excellent first start, going six innings against the Marlins and allowing just two hits and one run over six innings. In addition, he struck out seven and walked none. The Astros play their first home game of the season after losing two of three at Seattle. The Astros have been a very good under team this year despite going over on Sunday. They are now 3-6 O/U on the season. Luis Garcia starts tonight after going four innings in his opener vs the D'backs. Garcia allowed just two hits and no aruns in a fine performance. I'm looking for this one to get back on the UNDER train tonight. |
|||||||
04-18-22 | Raptors +7.5 v. 76ers | 97-112 | Loss | -107 | 7 h 58 m | Show
The Toronto Raptors and Philadelphia 76ers play game two of their best of seven series here tonight. The Sixers had little issue with the Raptors in game one, cruising to a 20-point win, 131-111 as a 4.5 point favorite. Tonight that line has jumped to seven as the oddsmaker compensates for that blowout win. The Raptors had been good for bettors. They are 5-2 ATS in their last seven quarterfinal games. They are 7-3-1 ATS in their last 11 playoff games as a underdog and 7-3 ATS in their last 10 road games. Still, they get no respect from the oddsmaker here tonight. Philadelphia has been winning but not covering until recently. The Sixers are 6-1 S/U their last seven games but just 3-4 ATS. Philly is also 3-7 ATS their last 10 games overall. The Raptors have covered four of the last five in this series. I look for a rebound here by Toronto tonight, if not a straight-up win. Play Toronto. |

04-17-22 | Pelicans v. Suns -10 | 99-110 | Win | 100 | 9 h 16 m | Show
The New Orleans Pelicans made it to the main playoff even with a pair of play-in wins over San Antonio (113-103) and a come-from-behind win over the Clippers, 105-101. Now they face the best regular season team in the NBA, the Phoenix Suns. The Pelicans have been a decent spread covering team this year. Though they were just 1-5 ATS in their last six games against a team with a winning record. The Pelicans have also covered just one of the last five meetings against the Suns. The Phoenix Suns were the standout in the NBA this year, holding the best overall record at 64-18 overall and beating the next closest team by a lot. While the Suns did lost four of their last six games of the season they were resting players as those games had no bearing on their best record in the NBA. Phoenix is now 13-5 ATS in their last 18 playoff games when installed the favorite. They are also 6-2 ATS in their last eight conference quarterfinal games. I'm going to lay the points here today with the best team in the NBA. |
|||||||
04-17-22 | Bulls v. Bucks -10.5 | 86-93 | Loss | -110 | 7 h 46 m | Show
The Bulls and Bucks begin game one of their best of seven series here today at Milwaukee. The Bulls ended the regular season with a win over Minnesota, 124-120. That win snapped a four game losing streak by the Bulls. The Bulls are now just 4-10 ATS their last 14 games against a team with a winning record. They are also 7-21 ATS their last 28 games as a underdog and 3-10 ATS the last 13 when those dog games were on the road. Milwaukee finished the regular season with a 51-31 record and lost a meaningless game at Chicago on the final day, 115-133. The Bucks are now 6-1-1 ATS their last eight games in the Conference Quarterfinals. The Bucks have also covered five of the last seven games in this series. I'll take the Bucks and lay the points here today. |
|||||||
04-17-22 | Astros v. Mariners UNDER 7.5 | 2-7 | Loss | -115 | 4 h 25 m | Show
The Houston Astros snapped a two-game losing streak on Saturday with a win over the Mariners, 4-0. The Astros have not been a big hitting team this year, scoring over four runs just one time in their eight games. It's not surprising then that they are 2-6 Over/Under on the short season. Jose Urquidy starts today and had a fine first start. Urquidy went five innings in his first start against the Angels, allowing just four hits and one run. The Mariners dropped to 4-5 on the season with their loss on Saturday. Like the Astros, they have been a good under team going 3-6 O/U on the season. The pitching has been solid, allowing more than four runs just one time. Matt Brash gets the start today. Brash went 5 1/3 innings in his first start against the White Sox, allowing four hits and two runs as he got hit with the loss. Again, two good under teams with two decent pitchers on the mound. I'll take under. |
|||||||
04-17-22 | Yankees v. Orioles UNDER 8.5 | Top | 0-5 | Win | 100 | 3 h 38 m | Show |
The Yankees improved to 5-4 on the season with their win a Baltimore on Saturday, 5-2. They teams have split the first two game so this series with the rubber match here today. Both games have gone under the total. In fact, The Yankees lack of hitting and decent pitching has resulted in seven of their nine games this year going UNDER the total. Nestor Cortes starts today. He pitched well in his first start against Toronto, going 4 1/3 innings and allowing three hits and no runs.The Orioles are just 2-6 this season and like the Yanks they have been a dead under team with a 0-7-1 O/U/P record. Only The team has scored two runs or fewer in six of their eight games. Bruce Zimmermann starts for the O's after a excellent opening start. Zim went 4 innings and allowed just three hits and not runs to the Brewers. This one looks like another dead under play today. |
|||||||
04-16-22 | Astros v. Mariners UNDER 7.5 | 4-0 | Win | 100 | 10 h 34 m | Show
The Houston Astros have lost two straight games after winning four of their first five of the season. They dropped Thursday's game to the D'backs, 2-3 and then yesterday's game to the Mariners, 1-11. The Astros had give up 14 runs total in their first six games before allowing 11 runs to Seattle yesterday. Justin Verlander will get his second start of the season today. Verlander took the loss in his opener to the Angels, 0-2, going five innings and allowing three hits and one run. Seattle looks to make it three straight wins here today after dropping four in a row. The Mariners started their fist seven games on the road before returning home yesterday. Chris Flexen went five innings in his first start, allowing five hits and three runs as he took the loss to the Twins. Both pitchers are quality and this one should be very low scoring. I'll take the UNDER. |
|||||||
04-16-22 | Raptors +5 v. 76ers | 111-131 | Loss | -110 | 3 h 30 m | Show
The Toronto Raptors had a fine season, finishing 48-34 and right behind Philly in the Atlantic division. The Raptors finished the regular season with a loss at the Knicks, 94-105. However, they did go 14-4 S/U and 12-6 ATS their last 18 games. Philly finished 51-31 and tied for first in the division with the Boston Celtics. While Philly won five of their last six games, they only covered two of those. The Raptors have covered the last four games in this series with the Sixers. I'll take the points and Raptors here in game one. |
|||||||
04-16-22 | Phillies v. Marlins -111 | 10-3 | Loss | -111 | 7 h 32 m | Show
The Phillies have struggled out of the gate this year, posting a 3-5 record thus far. After winning three of their first four games they have now lost four straight, including both to the Marlins. The Phils lost yesterday's game to Miami, 1-7. They will turn to Ranger Suarez today to get the ship back on track. Suarez went just 2 2/3 innings in his first start against the Mets, allowing five hits and three runs for a no decision. The Marlins lost four of their first five games before winning the last two. The pitching has been solid while the hitting suspect at times. Trevor Rogers toes the rubber today with a loss in his first start to the Giants, 2-3. Rogers went five innings and allowed six hits and two earned runs. I like the pitching staff of the Marlins much more here today plus I give the starting pitching edge to Miami. I'll take the Marlins. |
|||||||
04-16-22 | Tigers +111 v. Royals | 1-3 | Loss | -100 | 5 h 33 m | Show
Inner Circle Insider: The Detroit Tigers are right at the .500 mark with a 4-4 record after winning two straight over the KC Royals. They beat the Royals on Thursday 4-2 and then won yesterday's game 2-1, getting excellent pitching in both games. Matt Manning will look to make it three straight today as he gets the start. Manning had a very good initial start against the Red Sox, going six strong innings and allowing just one hit and one run on a solo home run. The Royals started the season with hopes, as they won their first two games of the year. But things have gone South and fast as they have lost five straight games, getting outscored 18-39 in the process. Kris Bubic looks to do better than that horrific start in his first game. Bubic went just 2/3 of the first inning before getting pulled after allowing three hits and five runs with two walks. I'm taking the Tigers who look much better at this stage. Play Detroit. |
|||||||
04-16-22 | Wolves v. Grizzlies -6.5 | Top | 130-117 | Loss | -110 | 3 h 21 m | Show |
The Timberwolves and Grizzlies begin their best of seven series here today at Memphis. The T'Wolves split their last four games 2-2 S/U and 1-3 ATS. The Wolves are just 4-9 ATS in their last 13 games as a dog. They are also 3-8 ATS their last 11 rod games vs a team with a winning home record. Memphis finished the regular season with a loss to the Celtics, 110-139 in what was a meaningless game for the Grizzlies. Still, they would like to get back to the streak that saw them win seven straight games. Unlike Minnesota, Memphis has been hot vs the number. They are 17-4 ATS their last 21 games at home. They are 14-3 ATS their last 17 as a home favorite. They have also dominated the T'Wolves of late, covering the last 16 of 21 meetings. They are even better at Memphis, going 24-8 ATS their last 32 vs the T'Wolves. I'm taking Memphis here in game one. |
|||||||
04-16-22 | A's +198 v. Blue Jays | 7-5 | Win | 198 | 3 h 30 m | Show
Dog Shocker: The Oakland A's can climb back above the .500 mark today with a win. They lost the opener to the Blue Jays on Friday, 1-4. That snapped a modest two game win streak. Paul Blackburn gets the nod on the hill today for the A's. Blackburn won his first start over the Rays, 13-2. Blackburn went five solid innings and allowed just three hits with seven KO's. The Blue Jays improved to 5-3 after their win over the A's on Friday. They alternated wins and losses since they opened the season 2-0. Hyun-Jin Ryu will get the start today. Ryu got a no decision in his opening game, going just 3 1/3 innings and allowing five hits and six runs. I'm a bit surprised to see the A's such a big dog. They have a excellent pitcher on the mound and Ryu looked very bad in his 1st start. I'll take the big money here today with the A's. |
|||||||
04-16-22 | Diamondbacks v. Mets -1.5 | 3-2 | Loss | -100 | 3 h 35 m | Show
The Mets continue to play well and their pitching staff continues to dominate. The Mets punished Arizona on Friday to the tune of a 10-3 win. Only one Mets starter has a ERA of 3.00 or higher and that's Max Scherzer who has a 3.27 ERA. Arizona is just 2-5 and lost five of their last six games. Zac Gallen makes his first start of the season for the D'backs. Gallen was 4-10 last year with a 4.30 ERA. Don't expect Gallen to make much difference here today against the Mighty Mets. I'll lay the Run Line like I did yesterday with the Mets. |
|||||||
04-15-22 | Pelicans +4.5 v. Clippers | Top | 105-101 | Win | 100 | 9 h 57 m | Show |
Win and move on, lose and you go home. That's the theme here tonight for these two teams. The Pelicans won their first play-in game last Wednesday, beating the San Antonio Spurs 113-103 as a 5.5-point favorite. The Pelicans are 13-5 ATS in their last 18 road games and 10-4 in their last 14 road games as a dog. The LA Clippers got some bad news today when star shooting guard Paul George tested positive for Covid and will have to miss this game. That's a huge loss since they are already playing without their Superstar forward Kawhi Leonard. The Clippers lost their opening Play-In Round game to the T'Wolves, 104-109. This line dropped to a pick'em with George out tonight. I'm taking the Pelicans as they move onto the seeded playoffs. |
|||||||
04-15-22 | Astros v. Mariners UNDER 8.5 | 1-11 | Loss | -110 | 8 h 23 m | Show
The Houston Astros are off to a 4-2 start to their season after dropping their last game on Wednesday, 2-3 to the Diamondbacks. Aside from one game where they scored 13 runs vs the Angels, this team has scored more than two runs once and more than 3 runs once. They have also gone under in five of their six games. Jake Odorizzi will toe the rubber today, going four innings and allowing six hit and two runs in his first game. The Seattle Mariners are 3-4 after starting the season 2-0. They have received some very good pitching as they have given up more than four runs just twice in their seven games. They have seen five of their seven games go under. Marco Gonzalez will start for the M's. Gonzales lost his opening game to the Twins, 4-10, allowing six of those runs in just two innings. I expect Gonzales to improve today now that has a start under his belt. Both teams have been under teams so far. I'm sticking with that here today. Play the UNDER. |
|||||||
04-15-22 | Islanders v. Canadiens +134 | 3-0 | Loss | -100 | 6 h 46 m | Show
The NHL down to just a handful of games in the regular season. The Montreal Canadiens have been eliminated from the postseason with just 51 points and last place in the Eastern Conference. The Islanders are in a fight for one of the last playoff spots with the Blue Jackets. Just one point separates Montreal and Columbus. The Islanders are coming off a loss at Pittsburgh and have lost three of their last five games. Montreal has lost three straight games. However, seven of their last nine games have been on the road. Now they return home for tonight's contest and I look for them to give the Islanders all kinds of problems. I'll take Montreal at this nice home dog price. |
|||||||
04-15-22 | Diamondbacks v. Mets -1.5 | 3-10 | Win | 100 | 2 h 27 m | Show
Early game on the schedule today has the Arizona Diamondbacks taking on the Mets. Arizona has struggled to a 2-4 start to their season and that isn't good considering they play in arguably the best division in baseball, the NL West. The D'back won their opening game, then dropped four straight before winning on Wednesday against the Astros, 3-2. Zach Davies gets the call to the mound today for the D'backs. Davies pitched well in his opener and got a no decision for his effort. Davies went five innings, allowed four hits and two runs against the Padres which the D'backs eventually lost, 2-5. The NY Mets are off to a nice 5-2 start and have to be considered a favorite to win the division. The Mets are a great pitching team, in fact all five starters have a ERA of 3.27 or less this year. Today's starter, Chris Bassitt went six strong innings in his opening game against the Nationals. Bassitt allowed just three hits and no runs to go with eight KO's and one walk. I don't see the D'back light hitting team getting much today if not shut out entirely. The Mets shouls have little trouble with Arizona. I'll lay the Run-Line with New York today. |
|||||||
04-15-22 | Diamondbacks v. Mets UNDER 8 | 3-10 | Loss | -105 | 2 h 27 m | Show
Early game on the schedule today has the Arizona Diamondbacks taking on the Mets. Take the UNDER. |
|||||||
04-14-22 | Braves v. Padres UNDER 8 | 1-12 | Loss | -120 | 9 h 29 m | Show
The Braves and Padres begin a four game set here today in San Diego. The Braves are 3-4 to start their season, splitting four games with the Reds and then dropping two of three to the Nationals. Charlie Morton makes his second start after a nice 5 1/3 inning performance against the Reds. Morton got the win as he allowed just two hits and two runs.The Padres dropped to 4-3 after losing two of their three games in San Franciso. The Padres were held to just seven total runs in the series. The Padres have received excellent pitching with the exception of the 13 runs they allowed to the Giants in one game. The have also gone under in five of their seven games thus far. Joe Musgrove makes his second start after a nice 6 inning, five hit and 2 run performance against thee D'Back. Both pitchers are very good and I like the UNDER here today. |
|||||||
04-14-22 | Tigers v. Royals -120 | Top | 4-2 | Loss | -120 | 9 h 27 m | Show |
The 2-4 Detroit Tigers make their way to Kansas City to face the Royals tonight. This is the opener of a four game series with the Royals. The Tigers have lost two straight games to the Red Sox after losing two of three to the White Sox. Casey Mize will make his second start of the season tonight Mize opened against the White Sox, going five innings and allowing seven hits and four runs. The Royals opened the season with a pair of wins over the Guardians, but have since dropped three straight games. Zack Grienke returned to KC this year and makes his second start of the season. Grienke pitched well in his first game back, going 5 2/3 innings, allowing just five hits and one run in the win over the Guardians. I'll take Zack here tonight since he looks in fine form already. Play Kansas City. |
|||||||
04-14-22 | Angels -140 v. Rangers | 5-10 | Loss | -140 | 9 h 23 m | Show
One of the late games on the schedule today has the LA Angels playing at Texas. The Angels lost three of their first four games of the season at home to the Astros. However, they bounced back taking both of their games from the Marlins, evening their record at 3-3. The Angels return to opening day starter Shohei Ohtani. Ohtani is 0-1 with a 1.93 ERA. He pitched well in the opener, going 4 2/3 innings, allowing just four hits and one run. Most impressive though were his nine KO's in under five innings with just one walk. The Rangers are off to a slow 1-4 start. They lost two of three to the Blue Jays in their opening set and then dropped both games at home to Colorado. They looks to get back on the winning track today with Dane Dunning. Dunning got no decision in his opening start against the Blue Jays, going five innings and allowing five hits and three runs. I like Ohtani tonight who looked great in his opening call. Play LA Angels. |
|||||||
04-14-22 | Phillies v. Marlins UNDER 8 | 3-4 | Win | 100 | 8 h 59 m | Show
The Philadelphia Phillies are 3-3 to start the season. After a 3-1 start they dropped their last two games to the Mets. They have a 2-3-1 O/U record. Kyle Gibson gets his second start after a beauty in game one. Gibson went seven strong innings against the A's, allowing just two hits and not runs to go with 10KO's and No Walks. The Marlins are 1-4, losing their last three games. The Marlins offense has not been good, scoring over three runs just one time and that was an opening day loss to the Giants, 5-6. They have gone under in their last four games as the pitching as been strong. Sandy Alcantara went five innings in the opener, allwoing three hits and two earned runs. Both pitchers are very good and the way the Marlins are hitting I'll take under in this game. |
|||||||
04-14-22 | Cardinals +130 v. Brewers | 1-5 | Loss | -100 | 7 h 32 m | Show
The early game on the board today has the St Louis Cardinals taking on the Milwaukee Brewers in the opening game of a four game set. The Cardinals are 3-1 to start the season, taking two of three from the Pittsburgh Pirates and then their one game set over KC, 6-5 on Tuesday. Adam Wainwright look great as he took the mound on opening day, going six strong innings, scattering five hits and allowing no runs. He also struck out six and allowed no walks. The Brewers lost three of their first four games but have rebounded with two straight wins over the Orioles. Brandon Woodruff got roughed-up in his opening start, going 3 2/3 innings and allowing seven earned runs to the Cubs. I like the way the Cards and Wainwright have looked early. I'll take them as a nice dog here today. |
|||||||
04-13-22 | Spurs +6 v. Pelicans | Top | 103-113 | Loss | -110 | 12 h 43 m | Show |
NBA Play-In tournament continues here today as the San Antonio Spurs take on the New Orleans Pelicans. The Spurs finished the regular season with a 34-48 record. They did lose their last three games though they covered two and pushed the other. In fact, this Spurs team has bee a very good team vs the number, going 5-0-1 ATS the last six games and 9-1-1 ATS their last 11 games. The New Orleans Pelicans have a lot of injury questions coming into today. However, two seem solved with center James Valancions and forward Brandon Ingram now both probable for today. Forward Zion Willamson does remain out though with a foot injury. The Pelicans finished the regular season with two losses both S/U and ATS. The Spurs have covered eight of the last nine in this series and all seven of the last seven meetings in New Orleans. I'll take the Spurs here in the Play-In game. |
|||||||
04-13-22 | Mariners v. White Sox UNDER 9 | 4-6 | Loss | -110 | 7 h 22 m | Show
The mariners are 2-3 after starting the season 2-0. They dropped the last two of their series with the Twins and then lost the opener of this series with the White Sox, 2-3. They have gone under in four of their five games with good pitching and not much hitting by the Mariners. The White Sox are 3-1 on the season and 2-2 over/under. Robbie Ray starts for the M's. He had a very good start to the season, going seven innings and allowing just three hits and one run to the Twins. Dallas Keuchel makes his first start of the season for the White Sox. Keuchel was 9-9 last season with a 5.28 ERA. I like today's game to go under with the Mariners poor hitting and good pitching. Take UNDER. |
|||||||
04-13-22 | Brewers v. Orioles UNDER 8 | 4-2 | Win | 100 | 9 h 8 m | Show
The Brewers off to a slow start this season at 1-3 after dropping two of three at the Cubs and then losing their opening at Baltimore, 0-2. The Brewers have been shut out in two of their four games thus far. The Brewers will return to their Ace here today in Corbin Burnes. Burnes has one start this year and he has no record with a 5.40 ERA in the team's opening game against the Cubs. Burnes went five innings and allowed four hits and three runs with three walks - not a performance we have been accustomed to from Burnes. Baltimore got its first win of the season in this opener against the Brewers. The O's got swept at Tampa Bay in the three game series, scoring a total of four runs. John Means will start today. Means had a very good start vs the Rays, going four innings and allowing just one run with five KO's and one walk. Today runs look to be at a premium with Burnes on the hill. I'll take Under. |
|||||||
04-13-22 | Brewers v. Orioles +161 | 4-2 | Loss | -100 | 7 h 32 m | Show
The Brewers off to a slow start this season at 1-3 after dropping two of three at the Cubs and then losing their opening at Baltimore, 0-2. Burnes too big a favorite after his start to the season. Means pitched a great game and should have his team in this one. Play Baltimore. |
|||||||
04-13-22 | Hornets +5.5 v. Hawks | 103-132 | Loss | -110 | 9 h 2 m | Show
Play-In tourney game here today pits the Charlotte Hornets against the Atlanta Hawks. The Hornets surprised everyone this year with a 43-39 record and 3rd place SouthEast division finish. The Hornets finished the season strong, winning and covering their last three games. The Hornets do well with rest, evidenced by their 11-4-1 ATS record when they get two days of rest. They are also 10-4-1 ATS their last 15 games as a road dog and 15-5-1 their last 21 overall on the road. The Atlanta Hawks finished with an identical 43-39 record. The Hawks won and covered their last game of the regular season against the Rockets. The Hornets are 3-1-1 ATS the last five meetings between these teams. Atlanta will also be without forward John Collins who is out with a foot injury. I'm going to take the points here today with the Hornets. |
|||||||
04-13-22 | Padres v. Giants UNDER 7.5 | 1-2 | Win | 100 | 6 h 48 m | Show
Early afternoon game here in the NL West as the Giants host the Padres. The NL West looks to be one of if not the best division in baseball with these two teams and the Dodgers. The Padres are 4-1 after losing their opening game of the season to the D'back they have won four straight games. The pitching has been awesome, allowing to runs or fewer in three of five games. Sean Manaea will start for the Padres with a 1-0 record in one start with a 0.00 ERA and 0.14 WHIP. Manaea was nearly perfect in his opening start, going seven innings against the D'backs. He allowed no runs and no hits over those seven innings with seven KO's and one Walk. The Giants are 2-2 after four games, losing the opener of this series last night, 2-4. They have gone under in three of their four games. The offense hasn't been good of late, scoring six runs over the last three games. Logan Webb looked excellent in his start vs the Marlins, going six innings and allowing just one run and five hits. Two excellent pitchers and two great bullpens. I'll take UNDER. |
|||||||
04-12-22 | Clippers +3 v. Wolves | 104-109 | Loss | -105 | 34 h 2 m | Show
The NBA play-in tournament begins here on Tuesday with the LA Clippers taking on the Timberwolves from Minnesota. The winner gets the No 7 seed in the West Playoff bracket. The Clippers beat the Wolves in three of their four meetings this year. The Clippers continue to play without Kawhi Leonard who will remain out. As for the Wolves, their point guard D'Angelo Russell is questionable for this game with an illness. The Clipper finished strong down the stretch, winning their last five games and covering four of those. The Wolves struggled a bit their last few games, going 1-2 S/U and 0-4 vs the spread. In fact, they were just 2-7 ATS their last nine regular season games. The Clippers have pretty much owned this series, going 4-1 ATS the last five meetings and 15-6-1 ATS the last 22 meetings in Minnesota. I'll take the short points with the Clippers here on Tuesday. |
|||||||
04-12-22 | Blue Jays +112 v. Yankees | 0-4 | Loss | -100 | 5 h 2 m | Show
A pair of AL East teams meet here tonight as the Yankees host the Blue Jays as they play game two of their series. The Jays opened with a shut-out win on Monday over the Yankees, 3-0. That makes the Jays 3-1 on the season after a 2-1 series win over the Rangers to open the season. Yusei Kikuchi will start for the Jays. He was 7-9 last year with a 4.41 ERA and 1.32 WHIP and makes his first start of this season. The Yankees are 2-2 after their first four games, taking two of three in the Boston series before losing game one here to the Jays. Nestor Cortes takes the hill for the Yankees. Cortes was 2-3 with a 2.90 ERA last season. Toronto is a small dog here tonight and I like them even as a favorite in this one. Play Toronto. |
|||||||
04-12-22 | Mets +140 v. Phillies | 2-0 | Win | 140 | 5 h 42 m | Show
The New York Mets started the season 3-0 after taking their first three games against the Nationals. Then the Nationals took game four, 4-2, and the Phillies came from behind last night for the 5-4 win. The Mets look to snap that two game losing streak here tonight with Trylor Megill. Megill opened the season with a nice win over the Nationals, going five innings and allowing just three hits and no runs. He also struck out six and walked non. The Phillies are 3-1 to start the season with a pair of wins at home over Oakland and then winning game one here yesterday, 5-4. Zach Wheeler will toe the rubber for the Phillies. Wheeler gets his first start of the season after a 14-10 2021 campaing with a 2.78 ERA. The Mets are a pretty good sized dog here tonight and I like them in that live dog role as they stay close and hopefully beat the Phillies. |
|||||||
04-12-22 | Indians +100 v. Reds | 10-5 | Win | 100 | 2 h 6 m | Show
The battle for Ohio rivalry gets underway again as Cleveland travels to Cincinnati for Ohio bragging rights. The Indians just wrapped-up a four game set at Kansas City. They lost the first two games, scoring a combined 1-run in the two games. However, the bats awakened in games three and four as they took those games by a combined 27-10 score. Shane Bieber will take the hill for the Guardians here today. Beiber is 0-0 in his only start this year with a 1.93 ERA and a 0.64 WHIP. Cincinnati also just complete a four-game set at Atlanta where they split the four games, winning the first and fourth games of the set. Tyler Mahle will start today for the Reds. Mahle is 1-0 this year with a 0.00 ERA and 1.00 WHIP. Mahle went five innings against the Braves, allowing one unearned run while striking out seven and walking just two. Two excellent pitchers here today, but I'll take the Guardians in this one. |

04-11-22 | Padres v. Giants OVER 8.5 | Top | 4-2 | Loss | -100 | 10 h 16 m | Show |
The San Diego Padres opened the season in fine form by taking three of four games in Arizona. The final on Sunday had them blowout the D'backs, 10-5. The Giants had a much more difficult series with the pesky Miami Marlins. While they took two of three from Miami, all three games where decided by just one run and Friday's game the Giants had to come from behind to win in extra innings. Nick Martinez takes the hill for the Padres today. Martinez returns to the MLB after four seasons in Japan where he starred for the Fukuoka Hawks, posting a 1.62 ERA last season. His last year in the MLB came in 2017 where he went 17-30 with a 4.77 era in four seasons with the Rangers. Alex Wood toes the rubber for the Giants. Wood had a very good season last year in his first with the Giants, posting a 10-4 record and 3.83 ERA. I'm not sold on Martinez back in the US after what wasn't a very good stint in his last try. I'll take the OVER here today. |
|||||||
04-11-22 | Mariners +118 v. Twins | 0-4 | Loss | -100 | 6 h 26 m | Show
The Seattle Mariners and Minnesota Twins conclude their four game series here today. The Mariners have taken two of the last three games, though they lost on Sunday, 4-10. Christ Flexen will start today for the M's. Flexen was 14-6 last year with a 3.61 ERA. Flexen had just 40 walks and 125 KO's last year. Flexen was 7-1 on the road with a 4.06 ERA. The Twins will start Dylan Bundy. Bundy had a very poor season last year with a 2-9 record and 6.06 ERA in his 23 games. The Mariners look to be the better team in this first week of the season and they definitely have the better pitcher on the hill today. Play Seattle. |
|||||||
04-10-22 | Marlins v. Giants UNDER 8 | 2-3 | Win | 100 | 6 h 14 m | Show
Both first two games in this series have been nail biters, with the Giants taking game one 6-5 in 10 innings. The Marlins beat the Giants on Saturday, 2-1 in a great pitchers duel. Both pitching staffs had 14 KO's in Saturday's contest. Trevor Rogers will start for the Marlins. Rogers was 7-8 last season with a very good 2.64 ERA and 1.15 WHIP. The Giants will turn to Anthony DeSaclafani who was 13-7 last year with a 3.17 ERA and 1.09 WHIP. Both starters are very good, both pens are good, this looks like a UNDER to me. |
|||||||
04-10-22 | Mariners v. Twins UNDER 8.5 | 4-10 | Loss | -100 | 4 h 20 m | Show
The Mariners and Twins play the third game of their four game set here on Sunday. Seattle has won both games, 2-1 on Friday and 4-3 yesterday. Both games going under as both teams getting fine pitcher performances. The M's will send Marco Gonzales to the hill today. Gonzales had a fine campaign last season at 10-6 with a 3.96 ERA and 1.17 WHIP. The Twins will send Bailey Ober to the hill in search of that first win of the season. Ober was 3-3 last year with a 4.19 ERA and 1.20 WHIP. So far runs have come at a premium in this series and I don't see that changing here today. I' sticking with the UNDER. |
|||||||
04-09-22 | Astros -105 v. Angels | 0-2 | Loss | -105 | 9 h 9 m | Show
The Houston Astros look to go 3-0 on the season here tonight at the LA Angels. The Astros took game one 3-1 and then Friday's contest 13-6. Justin Verlander returns to the Astros this season in a one-year deal. Verlander hasn't pitched a full season since the 2018 season when he won the Cy Young. He hopes to get back to those winning days starting tonight. The Angels look to get that first win and they look to Noah Syndergaard who left the Mets for the Angels this year. Both these pitchers are returning from Tommy John surgery and it should be interesting to see if they are anything near their old selves here tonight. For me, the Astros already have showed they have a ton of hitting and I'll take them again here tonight. Play Houston. |
|||||||
04-09-22 | Marlins +133 v. Giants | 2-1 | Win | 133 | 4 h 7 m | Show
The Marlins play game two of their series here today from San Francisco. The Giants took the opener on Friday, 6-5 in 10 innings in a come-from-behind win. Miami finished in fourth place last year in the NL East with a 67-95 record. The Giants seemed to pick up right where they left off last year with another comeback win. The Marlins led last night's game for six innings before the Giants came back. Pablo Lopez toes the rubber for the Marlins. Lopez was 5-5 in his 20 starts last year. Lopez struck out 10.08 batters per 9 innings and pitched very well in his lone start vs the Giants. The Giants won a franchise record 107 games last year. Buster Posey retired and starting pitcher Kevin Guasman left in free agency. Rondon makes his first start for his new team after a 13-5 record last year. Rondon didn't make it through the entire 2021 season so the Giants are hoping he stays healthy this year. I believe the Marlins are a sleeper play here in game two as a nice dog. Don't expect Rondon to stick around long as the Giants don't want to over work him. I'll take the Marlins as my dog. |
|||||||
04-09-22 | Pacers v. 76ers -14 | Top | 120-133 | Loss | -110 | 2 h 16 m | Show |
Early action on the NBA hard court today as the 76ers host the Pacers. The Indiana Pacers are just playing out these last two days before their vacation. However, the Philadelphia 76ers still have something to play for this weekend. The Sixers are in 4th in the East, just a half game behind the Celtics for third place. They are 1.5 games back of Milwaukee and 1.5 games ahead of Toronto. The Sixers had their three-game win streak snapped at Toronto on Thursday, 114-119 as a 3.5-point favorite. Philly will close out their season at home against Detroit tomorrow. Both these games should be wins for the Sixers, which will put some pressure on those teams in front of them. The Pacers won't win here today. They haven't won since March 20th, losing eight straight games. They have also covered just three of their last eight games. The Sixers can't let down now. I'll lay the points with Philly today. |
|||||||
04-08-22 | Thunder v. Lakers OVER 227 | Top | 101-120 | Loss | -110 | 10 h 43 m | Show |
Neither of these teams will be going to the playoffs this year. Does this mean that the Lakers will shut down their stars? Russell Westbrook, Lebron James and Anthony Davis are all questionable tonight. I'll be looking at the total here tonight. The Thunder are 16-6-1 O/U in their last 23 games as a dogl. They are also 16-7-1 O/U their last 24 overall games. The Lakers are 8-3 O/U their last 11 games. While we may or may not see the stars play tonight, I like these two teams to put up plenty of points and take this game OVER. They have gone over in seven of their last 10 meetings and that is what I expect tonight. |
|||||||
04-08-22 | Mariners v. Twins UNDER 8 | 2-1 | Win | 100 | 3 h 14 m | Show
This game was supposed to be played yesterday, but was postponed due to bad weather. Seattle was a surprise team last year, finishing second in the AL West and barely missing the postseason after winning 90 games. Lefthander Robbie Ray starts for the Mariners today. The 10-year veteran begins his first year as a Mariner after a 13-7 season last year with the Blue Jays. The Twins have nowhere to go but up after finishing last in the division last year. Both these teams had issue scoring runs last year. Both these teams were also good under teams at the end of last year. I'm going to take the UNDER in what looks to be a cold Minnesota day. |
|||||||
04-08-22 | White Sox -131 v. Tigers | 4-5 | Loss | -131 | 1 h 14 m | Show
Game one of a three game series here in Detroit today. The Sox looking to defend their AL Central Division Championship, winning 93 games last year. The White Sox just picked up AJ Pollack from the Dodgers for reliever Craig Kimbrel. Pollack should add a lot of hitting to this club. Lucas Giolito is the Ace of this staff and gets the start here today. Giolito is coming of a 12-9 season last year. Detroit hasn't made the playoffs since 2014 and made some big moves in the offseason to stop that trend. The White Sox are favorites for a reason, they have great hitting and pitching. I expect the Tigers to be better this year, but not right away. Take Chicago. |
|||||||
04-07-22 | Indians v. Royals +115 | 1-3 | Win | 115 | 6 h 51 m | Show
Not a lot to go on with all the teams having their opening games. Still, you know me, I love to find love dogs and I believe I have found one here tonight with the Royals. They will be starting newly acquired Zack Grienke. Cleveland begins their era as the Cleveland Guardians here tonight. I'm going to take the Royals here tonight with Grienke as a very small dog and look for that opening night home win for KC. |
|||||||
04-06-22 | Suns v. Clippers -2.5 | Top | 109-113 | Win | 100 | 11 h 55 m | Show |
The Phoenix Suns have the best record in the NBA locked and put away. They really have nothing left to play for in these final days of the regular season. In fact, I won't be surprised to see key players doing a lot of sitting here tonight. The Suns snapped a two-game losing streak last game with a win over the Lakers, 121-110. Still, they haven't covered a game in four straight. The Clippers have already clinched a Playin berth as they currently sit 8th, four games ahead of the Pelicans. The Clippers have won two straight games and covered both after a stretch that saw them go 1-6 S/U and ATS. The Clippers are 11-3 ATS in their last 14 meetings in LA with the Suns and 19-9 ATS the last 28 overall meetings. I'll take the Clippers here tonight. |
|||||||
04-06-22 | Mavs v. Pistons +8.5 | 131-113 | Loss | -110 | 8 h 56 m | Show
Interconference game here has the West's Dallas Mavericks taking on the East's Detroit Piston. The Pistons are done for the year after this week. They are already eliminated from the playoffs. The Dallas Mavericks are 4th in the West, just one game back of the Warriors and two games ahead of the Jazz. The Mavs have split their last two games, losing at Washington, 103-135 and then beating Milwaukee, 118-112. The Mavs are just 2-5 ATS in their last seven road games. While the Pistons are out of the NBA playoffs, they still are playing hard, winning three straight games including their last over Indiana 121-117 as a 4.5-point road dog. The Pistons are now 5-0 ATS their last five and 17-3 ATS their last 20 games. I'm taking Detroit here as they are fighting to the end. |
|||||||
04-05-22 | Grizzlies +5.5 v. Jazz | 115-121 | Loss | -110 | 11 h 32 m | Show
West Conference matchup here has 2nd place Memphis taking on 6th place Utah. The Grizzlies have nowhere to go as they are 7-games back of Phoenix and 5.5-games ahead of Golden State. The Grizzlies are hot though and look to keep the momentum as the playoffs start soon. Memphis has won seven straight games and 10 of their last 11 games. They are also 7-2 ATS their last nine games. The Griz are also 14-4 ATS in their last 18 games as a underdog and 41-18 ATS their last 59 games overall. The Utah Jazz can go up or down in the standings since they are right in the middle of a three pack with Denver and Minnesota. The Jazz have not been hot, going 1-6 S/U and 0-7 ATS their last seven games. The Jazz are 15-33-3 ATS their last 51 games overall. They are also 5-16-1 ATS their last 22 games vs a team with a win percentage over 60%. These two usually play high scoring games and I expect we'll see plenty of action tonight too. I'll take the points with a very hot Memphis club. |
|||||||
04-05-22 | Hornets v. Heat -5.5 | Top | 115-144 | Win | 100 | 9 h 2 m | Show |
As we come down to the finals games of the NBA regular season, Miami finds themselves sitting in 1st place in the East, 2-games against of the Boston Celtics and 2.5 games ahead of Milwaukee and Philly. While the Heat have clinched the SouthEast division, they would like to lock of that top spot in the East. Charlotte looks to hold one of the two Play-In berths in the East. The other currently held by Brooklyn. Charlotte is coming off a loss at Philly, 114-144, failing to cover the 5.5-point dog line. While Charlotte has been good at covering, they don't do well against very good teams. They are just 8-18-2 their last 28 games vs a team with a 60% or better winning mark. Miami had to endure a four-game losing streak in last March. However, they have rebounded and have won four straight both S/U and ATS. More good news tonight, star Jimmy Butler, who has been rested, is probable tonight. I like Miami here, they need to win to lock up that top East Spot. |
|||||||
04-04-22 | North Carolina +4.5 v. Kansas | Top | 69-72 | Win | 100 | 11 h 53 m | Show |
The NCAA Men's Final comes down to two teams that are not strangers to the Big game, North Carolina and Kansas. North Carolina is 29-9 overall on the season and after losing in the ACC Tournament has won five straight in the NCAA's. They have covered all five also after they beat Duke in the Final Four, 81-77, as a 4.5-point dog. The Tarheels have the 18th ranked efficient offense according to the Kenpom rankings. They have averaged nearly 78 points per game and allowed 68 points. In the NCAA tournament they have averaged 82.2 ppg while allowing 68.2 ppg. They are 39th in defense. North Carolina is looking for its 7th National Title and first with HC Hubert Davis. The Kansas Jayhawks were the only No 1 seed team to make the Final Four this year. They have a 33-6 record and are coming off a blowout win over Villanova, 81-65. The Jayhawks won the Big 12 Tournament this year, just the first time in their last four years. Both of these teams peaked at just the right time and both are loaded with great coaches. The one area Kansas has trouble is foul shooting, where they are just 60% in the tournament. This could prove crucial down the stretch. In a close game like this, I'll take the points. Play North Carolina. |
|||||||
04-03-22 | Knicks v. Magic +5 | 118-88 | Loss | -110 | 8 h 32 m | Show
The New York Knicks have lost two straight games and dropped to 34-44 overall. Those losses have eliminated the Knicks from the playoffs as they sit 12th, six games back. The biggest loss though came a few days ago when they lost Julius Randle with a quad injury. Looks like Randle is done with the Knicks out of the playoffs. Orlando also wont' be going to the playoffs with their 20-58 record. And while they don't win often, they do better against the spread. They are 4-0 ATS their last four games as a dog. They are also 8-3 ATS their last 11 games with one day of rest. The Magic have also covered four of the last five in this series with the Knicks. Neither team going anywhere, but with Randle now out the Knicks shouldn't be laying these kind of points on the road. I'll take the points with the Magic and they might even win a rare game straight up here today. |
|||||||
04-03-22 | Wizards v. Celtics -12.5 | Top | 102-144 | Win | 100 | 3 h 33 m | Show |
Early game here on Sunday has the Washington Wizards taking on the Boston Celtics in a NBA Eastern conference clash. Washington was eliminated from the playoffs as they sit 11th, 5.5 games back of 10th place Brooklyn. The Celtics are 3rd in the East and can improve or fall back. They are a half game back of 2nd place Milwaukee and two back of 1st place Miami. The Wizards are just 3-7 ATS their last 10 games as a road dog. They are also 6-16 ATS their last 22 games on one day of rest. The Celtics snapped a two game losing streak with a win over Indiana, 128-123, though they failed to cover the 15-point favorite line. Still, the Celtics are 6-3 ATS their last nine games. The Celtics have also gone 12-4-1 ATS their last 17 games against the Pacers at Boston. I'll lay the big number here today with a Boston team that can still change their playoff position. |
|||||||
04-02-22 | North Carolina v. Duke -190 | 81-77 | Loss | -190 | 11 h 45 m | Show
Money Line (Duke): Isn't it fitting that in Duke's Coach K last season that he as a final four meeting with none other than his old foe, North Carolina. These two storied college basketball teams clash here today. Ironically, this is the first time these two teams will have ever met in a Final Four! Coach K can win an illustrious sixth title this year and that would be a fitting way to end his storied career at Duke. You can make a case for either team at this point in the season. So I have to find something that stands out. For me that is Coach K. His players really want to win this one for him and that's a motivation you just can't manufacture. This will be the North Carolina starting five vs the Duke zone defense. Should be a great game, but I'm taking Duke on the Money line here as part of my 2-team NCAA Final four Parlay. |
|||||||
04-02-22 | Nets v. Hawks +2.5 | 115-122 | Win | 100 | 9 h 37 m | Show
Eastern Conference clash here today has the 8th place Brooklyn Nets and Atlanta Hawks both tied in the standings. The Nets, Hornets and Hawks are all holding those last three playoff spots in the East and all three are two games back of Cleveland. All three will make the playoffs, but the question is in which position. That makes this game huge here today for both clubs. The Nets are coming off a loss to Milwaukee in OT, 119-120, as a 2-point favorite. The Nets are 2-3 S/U and 1-4 ATS their last five games. The Nets have not done well as favorites, evidenced by their 9-25 ATM mark their last 34 games in that role. The Atlanta Hawks have been hot, winning and covering their last four games. They are also 9-3 S/U their last 12 games. Atlanta is also 8-0 ATS in their last eight home games vs a team with a winning road record. The Hawks are also 14-6 ATS their last 20 home games. I'll take the home dog Hawks here today. |
|||||||
04-02-22 | Villanova v. Kansas UNDER 133 | Top | 65-81 | Loss | -110 | 97 h 48 m | Show |
It took Kansas an entire half, but they finally woke up in the 2nd half against Miami in their Elite 8 matchup. Kansas trailed the Canes at half, 29-35, but came out like gangbusters in the second half. They outscored Miami 47-15 in the 2nd half to win the game, 76-50, as a 5-point closing favorite. There was a lot of money on Miami, as they opened a 9-point dog and close at around 5-points. Now Kansas will get to face Villanova. Villanova didn't have a lot of issues with Houston as they led at the half, 27-20 and held on for the 50-44 win over the Cougars as a 3-point dog. Again the money on Houston as the opened 1.5-points and close at 3-points. Villanova did suffer one loss in the game, that of guard Justin Moore who tore a Achilles tendon in the final minutes of the game. Moore will not play again this year with surgery looming. Moore, a third year starter, was second team All Big East this year. Moore averaged 14.8 ppg and his leadership will be greatly missed. For me, losing Moore is the difference maker in the tone of this game. Both these teams are very good defensively with Kansas ranked 17th and Villanova 18th in the Kenpom adjusted defensive rankings. Now without Moore that will hurt this Nova offense. I'm am taking the UNDER here in this Final four matchup. |
|||||||
04-02-22 | Villanova v. Kansas -190 | 65-81 | Win | 100 | 8 h 4 m | Show
Money Line Play (Kansas): It took Kansas an entire half, but they finally woke up in the 2nd half against Miami in their Elite 8 matchup. 04-01-22 | Clippers +7.5 v. Bucks | Top | 153-119 | Win | 100 | 8 h 27 m | Show |
The Basketball Classic Championship here tonight between Fresno State and Coastal Carolina. Fresno State lost three of their last four games to close out their season. They have hit the NIT running though, beating Eastern Washington, Youngstown State and then last game over Southern Utah, 67-48 as a 7-point favorite. Fresno not the best offensive team, as they rank just 148 in the Kenpom offensive efficiency rankings. They do better in defense though, ranking 32nd overall. The Dogs haven't done well covering against winning teams, evidenced by their 3-9 ATS mark their last 12 games. Coastal Carolina Chanticleers have just 19 wins on the season. Though six of those have come in the last seven games. They lost in their conference championship game to Georgia Southern and have since won three straight in this tournament. The last coming over South Alabama, 69-68, as a 1-point dog. Carolina just out of the top 100 in both. Carolina is 6-1 ATS their last seven games. Have to figure Carolina with chance to win today, so I'll take the points with them. |
|||||||
04-01-22 | Fresno State v. Coastal Carolina +3 | 85-74 | Loss | -110 | 39 h 30 m | Show

03-31-22 | Cavs v. Hawks -5.5 | 107-131 | Win | 100 | 8 h 20 m | Show
The NBA comes down to the wire as teams jockey for playoff position. The Cleveland Cavaliers are in 7th right now, two games ahead of the Nets and three games ahead of the Hawks. The Hawks are holding down that last playoff spot at number 10 and should make the playoffs as they lead 11th place New York by 5.5 games. The Hawks can greatly improve their lot though as they are just a half game back of 9th place Charlotte, one game back of 8th place Brooklyn and three games back of 7th place Cleveland. Cleveland comes in off a loss to Dallas, 112-120, as a 1.5-point dog. The Cavs are just 1-4 S/U their last five games and 0-6 ATS their last six. Atlanta has won three games in a row both S/U and ATS after their blowout win at Oklahoma City on Wednesday, 136-118. The Hawks can improve their playoff spot against a key leader here. I'll take Atlanta. |
|||||||
03-31-22 | Xavier +4.5 v. Texas A&M | 73-72 | Win | 100 | 17 h 31 m | Show
NIT Championship here today from Madison Sq Garden in NY, NY. The Xavier Musketeers take on the Texas A&M Aggies. Xavier had a rough road to this final, having to beat Cleveland State, Florida, Vanderbilt and St Bonnies. The Muskateers have a very good offense, ranked 39th in the Kenpom adjusted efficiency rankings. The defense isn't bad either, ranked 79th. Xavier is now 35-14-2 ATS in their last 51 games on a neutral site as a dog. Texas A&M still smarting by being passed over for the NCAA now has 27 wins on the season. The Aggies have won four straight at the NIT over Alcorn State, Oregon, Wake Forest and Washington State. They covered three of those four. The A&M Defense is very good, ranked 27th in Kenpom. The offense, not quite as good, ranked 68th. One Achilles heal is that they are not a good offensive rebounding team, 340th in the nation. That doesn't translate into a lot of second chance points. Two very good teams here tonight but for me I like to take the points with a team I know can win outright too. Play Xavier. |
|||||||
03-30-22 | Grizzlies -4.5 v. Spurs | 112-111 | Loss | -115 | 8 h 40 m | Show
The Memphis Grizzlies have clinched a playoff spot as they sit in 2nd in the NBA West. While 1st place Phoenix is too far away (8.5 games ahead), they do have just a 5-game lead over 3rd place Golden State. However, it's looks like a solid 2nd place spot in the West for the Grizzlies. Memphis has been excellent of late, going 5-0 both S/U and ATS their last five games. They are also 12-3 S/U their last 15 games. The Grizzlies are also 23-8 ATS in their last 31 games as a favorite. They have also played well on the road, going 22-9 ATS in their last 31 away games. The San Antonio Spurs are tied for the last playoff spot in the West with the Lakers. Both teams sit one game back of 9th place New Orleans. The Spurs have won their last four games, covering three of those. However, they are just 2-6 ATS in their last eight overall games and 1-4 ATS in their last five games as a dog and 1-8 ATS in their last nine games as a home dog. The Grizzlies look too tough for the Spurs here on Wednesday. Play Memphis. |
|||||||
03-30-22 | Heat v. Celtics -4.5 | Top | 106-98 | Loss | -110 | 9 h 34 m | Show |
The Miami Heat have not only clinched their Division, but they have the best record in the NBA Eastern Conference, a half game ahead of Philly and one game back of today's opponent, Boston. The Heat snapped a four game losing streak with a win over Sacramento, 123-100, last game as a 13.5-point favorite. The Heat have not been good at covering spreads, going 1-7 ATS their last eight games. A win tonight by Boston and they will be tied with the Heat. The Celtics had their six game win streak snapped in their last game at Toronto, losing 112-115, but covering the 8.5-point dog line. They have now covered three straight and six of their last seven games. I'll lay the points here tonight with Boston. |
|||||||
03-30-22 | Wolves v. Raptors -2.5 | 102-125 | Win | 100 | 7 h 39 m | Show
The Minnesota T'wolves are in 7th place in the NBA Western Conference, a good six games ahead of 8th place LA Clippers. They are just two games back of 5th and 6th place Utah and Denver. The Wolves are coming off a loss at Boston, 112-134, as a 6-point dog. That makes them 1-3 S/U over their last four games. They are also just 3-8 ATS in their last 11 games as a dog. Toronto is in 6th place in the East, one game ahead of Cleveland and just a half game back of Chicago. Toronto has won three straight games and nine of their last 11 games. They are 8-3 ATS in their last 11 games. The Raptors are 23-8 ATS in their last 31 games vs a team with a winning record. The Raptors have covered five of the last six meetings in this series. I'll take Toronto here tonight. |

03-29-22 | Washington State v. Texas A&M -1.5 | Top | 56-72 | Win | 100 | 10 h 53 m | Show |
NIT Semifinals here tonight from Madison Square Garden in NY, NY has Washington State taking on Texas A&M for the right to go to the NIT Finals. Washington State has had a very good run, starting in the PAC-12 tournament where they beat Oregon State, Oregon and Cal before losing to UCLA, 65-75. They then have won three straight in the NIT, beating Santa Clara, SMU and BYU, covering all three games. The Cougars are decent offensive team, ranked 77th in the Kenpom adjusted offensive efficiency rankings. They are a better defensive team, ranking 26th. Offensively they are one of the worst 2-point shooting teams in the nation, ranking 313th with a 46.2%. Texas A&M has been equally impressive as Washington State in their recent run. They beat three very good SEC teams in their tournament against Florida, Auburn and Arkansas, before losing to Tennessee in the finals. They opened NIT with a win over Alorn State, then beat Oregon and lastly Wake Forest. They have covered nine of their last 11 games. They have also won 10 of their last 11 games. The Aggies also have a very good defense, ranked 32nd in the Kenpom rankings and a slightly better offense, ranked 72nd. A&M has been a very streaky team, losing eight in a row mid-season and then closing with a nice win streak. I like A&M here tonight. |

03-29-22 | Bulls -3 v. Wizards | 107-94 | Win | 100 | 8 h 32 m | Show
The Chicago Bulls look to rebound from their loss on Monday to the Knicks, 104-109, as a 3.5-point favorite. The Bulls are currently 5th in the East, tied with the Raptors. They are one game ahead of the Cavaliers and four games up on Brooklyn. They can improve their lot in the playoffs, but they are one 3.5-games back of Philly, Boston and Milwaukee. Washington has won two-straight games including a win last game over Golden State, 123-115. The Wizards are now 32-42 overall and 29-42-3 vs the spread. They are also 3-7 ATS their last 10 games as a home dog. The Wizards are 12th in the East and 5.5-games back of Atlanta for that final playoff spot. Even though the Bulls are slumping of late, they have covered eight of the last 11 meetings with Washington. I'll take the Bulls here tonight. |

03-29-22 | St Bonaventure -1.5 v. Xavier | 77-84 | Loss | -110 | 7 h 23 m | Show
St Bonnys and Xavier meet here tonight in Madison Sq Garden for the right to advance to the NIT Finals. St Bonnies is 23-9 overall on the season after winning three straight in the NIT over Colorado, Oklahoma and last game over Virginia, 52-51, as a 2.5-point Dog. They covered all three games and are now 10-3 ATS their last 13 games. The Bonnies are a very well balanced team, ranking 73rd offense and 78th defense in the Kenpom efficiency rankings. The Xavier Musketeers are 21-13 overall on the season and have beaten Cleveland State, Florida and last game over Vandy, 75-73 in their three NIT Games. They are just 1-3 ATS their last four games. They are also 5-15 ATS their last 20 games. Have a hard time backing a poor covering team like Xavier. I'll lay the small line here tonight with St Bonnies. |

03-28-22 | Southern Utah +7.5 v. Fresno State | Top | 48-67 | Loss | -115 | 11 h 46 m | Show |
The Basketball Classic Semifinals tonight have Fresno State hosting Southern Utah. Winner moves on to the tournament finals. The Southern Utah Thunderbirds are 23-11 overall after winning three straight in this tournament. They opened with a win over Kent State, 83-79, then beat UTEP, 82-69 and last game beat Portland, 77-66, covering all three games. In addition So Utah is 7-2 ATS their last nine games. So Utah has the nation's 87th most efficient offense according to Kenpom. They are 34th in 2-point FG%. This would account for why the team has scored 71 points or more in 10 of the last 12 games. Fresno State also has 23 wins on the season after winning both of their TBC tourney games. They beat Eastern Washington, 83-74, to open the tourney and then beat Youngstown State, 80-71, last game. They have failed to cover both games as a favorite. The Bulldogs are 0-7 ATS in their last seven home games and 2-9 their last 11 games vs a team with a winning record. I'm taking the generous points here today with Southern Utah. |

03-28-22 | Magic v. Cavs -8.5 | 101-107 | Loss | -110 | 8 h 56 m | Show
The Orlando Magic have dropped two games in a row and now sit last in the SouthEast Division at 20-55 S/U and 33-41-1 ATS. They are coming off a loss to the Kings, 110-114 as a 2.5-point favorite. The Cavs have dropped to 41-33 overall after their most recent loss to Chicago, 94-98 as a 1.5-point home favorite. The Cavs are now 7th in the Eastern conference playoff picture, 4 games ahead of 10th place Atlanta and 5.5 back of first place Boston. Lots of movement possible for the Cavs so wins are important this time of year. I'll take Cleveland tonight. |

03-27-22 | Wolves v. Celtics -5.5 | 112-134 | Win | 100 | 7 h 32 m | Show
The Minnesota Timberwolves having a much better season than many thought they might have had as they sit at 43-32. The NBA regular season is winding down and the Wolves find themselves in 7th in the West, comfortably within the top 10 of the playoff picture. They snapped a two-game losing streak last game with a win over Dallas, 116-95, as a 4-point home favorite. They haven't done too well as a dog of late, going 3-7 ATS in that role their last 10 games. They are also 1-6 ATS in their last seven road games as a dog. Meanwhile, the Celtics are cruising towards the playoffs, winning five games in a row and improving to 46-28. They have moved into a tie for 3rd in the East, just a half game back of both Philadelphia and Miami for he best record in the East. They are also 10-1 their last 11 games. The Celtics are 7-3 ATS their last 10 games as a favorite. I like Boston here today at home. Play Boston. |

03-27-22 | 76ers v. Suns OVER 227.5 | Top | 104-114 | Loss | -110 | 7 h 32 m | Show |
The Best of the East meets the Best of the West today as Philly travels to Phoenix. It's a four way dog fight for the best record in the NBA East, with Philadelphia 76ers percentage points in first. The Sixers have won three straight to improve to 46-27 overall and 35-37-1 vs the spread. They have also gone over in three straight games, scoring 122, 126 and 113 points in those games. The Phoenix Suns have the NBA West best record all theirs with a 8 1/2 game lead over 2nd place Memphis. They also have the NBA's best record by far over the East. The Suns have been a scoring machine of late, posting 125 or more points in each of their last seven games. They have also gone over in seven of their last eight games. The Suns are 13-3 O/U in their last 16 home games vs a winning team. This has been a great over series, with the last six meetings in Phoenix going OVER and 18-7-1 the last 26 overall meetings going OVER. I'm taking OVER here today with these two powerhouse teams. |

03-27-22 | St. Peter's +8.5 v. North Carolina | 49-69 | Loss | -110 | 16 h 31 m | Show
The Cinderella team of 2022 is the St Peter's Peacocks. They opened beating a very good Kentucky team, 85-79, and then upended 30+ win Murray State, 70-60, before beating Purdue in the Sweet 16, 67-64. While the Peacocks have just 22 wins on the season, they have now won 10 straight games both S/U and ATS. The Peacocks do crack the Kenpom defensive rankings, coming in at 25th overall in defensive efficiency. They are holding opponents to just 29.3% from 3-point (15th), 44.3% overall shooting (12th). The defense is so good they have held nine of their last 10 opponents to 65 points or fewer. Only first round win over Kentucky did the Cats score 79 points. North Carolina had better not look past St Peters here today as already having punched their ticket to the Final Four. Purdue made that mistake and they are all home today. North Carolina lost to Virginia Tech in the ACC Conference Tournament, 59-72. Since then they have beaten Marquette, 95-63, Baylor, 93-86 in OT, and last game over UCLA, 73-66. The Tar Heels have the 19th rated efficient offense, according to the Kenpom ratings. They also have the 42nd ranked defense. The key for me in this matchup is the very good St Peters defense holding North Carolina under 70 points. If they can do that, they will cover this game. Play St Peters. |

03-27-22 | Miami-FL +6 v. Kansas | 50-76 | Loss | -110 | 13 h 42 m | Show
If not for being overshadowed by St Peters, Miami Florida would be the longshot team to make it to the Elite 8 with a chance to advance to the Final Four. Miami has beating USC, 68-66, Auburn, 79-61, and last game over Iowa State, 70-56 to advance to today's Elite 8 contest vs Kansas. Miami has covered four straight and six of their last seven games. They are also 19-6-1 ATS their last 26 games as a underdog. Miami has an excellent offense, ranked 18th overall in the country according to the Kenpom adjusted offensive efficiency ratings. They are also 22nd overall in the country in 2-point FG% (55.0%). They are a good but not great defense, ranked 114th overall in defensive efficiency. The Kansas Jayhawks continue in the NCAA where they left off in the Big 12, winning games. After running the table in their conference tourney, the Hawks have beaten Texas Southern, 83-56, Creighton, 79-72 and last game over Providence, 66-61. They have failed to cover their last two games. In fact, they are now 1-5 ATS in their last six NCAA tourney games. Kansas has the 6th ranked most efficient offense and 23rd ranked defense, making them a very well balanced team. Kansas is the last remaining No 1 seed in the tournament and the now favorite to win it all. Miami has outscored their last two opponents (Auburn and Iowa State) by 32 points. Miami as the defense to stay close to Kansas here today. I'll take the points with Miami to cover here today. |

03-26-22 | Arkansas v. Duke -3.5 | Top | 69-78 | Win | 100 | 8 h 14 m | Show |
Coach K's run toward his final season glory is still alive. Coach K retires after this year for Duke and they aren't ready to let him go just yet. After losing to Virginia Tech in the ACC, Duke has won three straight in the NCAA over Cal Fullerton, 78-61, Michigan State, 85-76, and Texas Tech last game, 78-73. They covered two of the three games. Arkansas pulled off the huge upset last round, beating top seeded Gonzaga, 74-68 as a 9.5-point dog. They held Gonzaga to just 23.8% from three-point line and 37.5% shooting overall. Arkansas has a outstanding defense, ranked 11th in the Kenpom efficiency listings. However, the height advantage definitely goes Duke's way in this game. The Blue Devils are the highest ranked offensive team left in the tournament after Purdue got ousted by St Peter's yesterday. It seems like Duke has been fortunate to advance at every level, however they are playing very well right now. I look at Duke as having all the offensive power in this game to go with their height advantage. Arkansas is the better defensive team, but I see Duke's firepower being too much here today. Play Duke. |
