Virginia Tech normally wins 10 games every season, but this year's 6-6 team is not that good. All six victories came against weak non-conference foes and ACC bottom feeders. They went 1-4 SU against winning teams. Against the class of the league (UNC, Clemson, Miami, FSU) V. Tech struggled to an 0-4 SU and 1-3 ATS record. They were dogs in three of those games and will not dress up as chalk. Rutgers loves playing in Bowl games (5-1 SU & 5-1 ATS) and will bring in the better defense, both in points and yards allowed. Teams with a winning percentage of .750 or higher coming off two straight losses are 14-3 SU in all Bowl games. Solid over the years. Take Rutgers!

Dallas will be focused after a non-effort against the Lakers. The 76ers offense is centered around Andrew Bynum. He was going to be the focal point but has not played yet this season. The Mavs don't need an aging Dirk as much as the Sixers need the 2nd best Center in the league. Chris Kaman has nice size and has a lot of experience playing against an undersized front court. I think the Mavs have a much better bench and Western Conf. underdogs playing an Eastern Conf. team are one of the best kept secrets out there.

The Steelers have been waiting for this game ever since getting swept by the Ravens last year. The Steelers lost 23-20 in November of 2011, despite out-gaining Baltimore 392-to-356. Baltimore is a shell of its former self missing numerous key players from last year's team. Pittsburgh should be focused knowing a win means a first-place tie in the AFC North.

I think Byron Leftwich will manage the game just fine, knowing the Ravens' defense allows 390 yards per game. Pittsburgh has the better defense by 130 yards and we're getting 3.5 points at home.

Byron Leftwich is 24-26 SU as a starter in this league. Not terrible and I look for Rashard Mendenhall's fresh legs to have a big impact on this game. He normally has big games coming off rest. Pittsburgh is 7-1 ITS (in the stats) their last eight games while the Ravens have been out-statted in five straight games. Take the Steelers and the generous 3.5 points.

With new general manager Bob Myers at the helm, the Warriors overhauled their roster this offseason. They drafted three players who are expected to contribute, including one, Harrison Barnes, who is expected to start. They traded Dorell Wright for one of the league's top backup point guards, Jarrett Jack, and re-upped with top reserve Brandon Rush. And Golden State outbid other teams for free agents Carl Landry and Kent Bazemore. This team went 5-2 in the preseason including an easy win over these same Suns. By the end of the year the Warriors should have more wins than the Suns. You lose your starting future Hall-of-Fame PG (Steve Nash) and can not expect to take a step back. Great coach in Mark Jackson as these Warriros just might make the playoffs this season. Reading the local papers I can tell you Golden State is pissed that the experts are picking them to finish 12th out West. Take the motivated Warriors!
