07-06-18 | Belgium +274 v. Brazil | 2-1 | Win | 274 | 35 h 31 m | Show
This is a 5* play on Belgium + both teams to score. Only two teams posted a clean sheets in the Round of 16, while the other 14 teams all conceded at least one goal. Only one of the eight games went under a total of two goals, while four games finished with exactly two goals. Brazil will be a significant favorite in this match versus Belgium, despite the fact that Belgium might be the most impressive team in the tournament so far. When discussing this match with my colleagues, somebody pointed out that "Brazil likely wouldn't find itself trailing 2-0 to Japan". My response was "if Brazil did find itself trailing 2-0 to Japan, they likely wouldn't be able to come back and win it 3-2". The Brazilian defense has been stellar in the tournament so far, something that has carried over from Word Cup Qualifying and their play in friendlies prior to the tournament. Belgium though has scored at least three goals in six of it's last eight matches. One of those eight matches was the 1-0 win over England in the Group Stages, with all of their starters on the bench. I like both teams to score here, and I'll predict an upset with Belgium winning 2-1. Take (Belgium plus both teams to score) GL, Jesse Schule |

07-03-18 | Switzerland v. Sweden | 0-1 | Loss | -126 | 102 h 1 m | Show
This is an 8* play on Switzerland (pickem, draw no bet) The Swiss are undefeated in their last five games, and they have scored at least one goal in all five of those matches. The Swedes have scored four goals in three matches while going 1-1-1 in the group stages, but had failed to score going 0-2-1 in their final three friendlies ahead of the tournament. There's no doubt that the Swedes will be ultra conservative here, happy to play for a draw and force extra time, and eventually decide the game with a penalty shoot out. That's because they know they have inferior talent, without any skilled players to match the likes of Shaqiri and Rodriguez. "Sweden coach Janne Andersson's admission that he has a list of penalty takers sorted in his mind before the match tells its own story, and given each team's well-drilled defence, a penalty shootout is not beyond the realms of possibility. " ESPN. While this match comes with a high probability of a draw, I think it's the Swiss that are more likely of the two to end it in regulation. Take SWI. GL,

07-02-18 | Japan v. Belgium -235 | 2-3 | Win | 100 | 82 h 5 m | Show
This is a 5* play on Belgium.
Japan is by far the weakest team in the Round of 16, the first ever team to reach the knockout stages on "fair play". The Samurai Blue played the final 10 minutes of their 1-0 loss to Poland at a walking pace, clearly content to kill the clock. They were met by a chorus of boos from fans in the Volgograd Arena when it became clear that they were playing to lose. These tactics might have got them to the knockout round, but won't help them against a Belgium team that is by far the most talented in the tournament. Belgium has won five of it's last seven matches by three or more goals. They should roll here, and I predict a 4-0 final score. Take BEL. GL, Jesse Schule |

07-02-18 | Mexico v. Brazil -185 | 0-2 | Win | 100 | 93 h 22 m | Show
This is a 5* play on Brazil. We've likely already seen the best this Mexico team has to offer. They opened their World Cup campaign with a shock win over defending champions Germany by a score of 1-0. It's been a steady decline since for the Mexicans. Their 2-1 win over South Korea wasn't as impressive in their opening match, but it set them up with a chance to finish first in their group. They needed just a draw against Sweden to take top spot, but a shocking effort resulted in a 3-0 loss. It took a miracle in the form of South Korea upsetting Germany to allow the Mexicans to advance to the Round of 16. Brazil appears to be gaining momentum, coming off consecutive 2-0 wins over Costa Rica and Serbia. History is certainly not on the side of the Mexicans, who are trying to break the Quinto Partido Curse. They have been sent home from this tournament in the Round of 16 in every World Cup since 1994. Surely the Brazilian coaching staff will closely examine the tactics used by Sweden as they made a mockery of the Mexican defenders. My prediction is that Brazil wins this match 3-1.

07-01-18 | Russia v. Spain OVER 2.25 | Top | 1-1 | Loss | -52.5 | 98 h 56 m | Show |
This is a 10* play on Over 2. Russia was impressive in it's first two games of the tournament, scoring a whopping eight goals in wins over Egypt and Saudi Arabia. While it's important to consider that they were matched up against two of the weaker teams in the tournament, it's also worth noting that Uruguay beat both those teams by a score of 1-0. It's tough to read too much into Russia's 3-0 loss to Uruguay in their final match of the group stages, because it appeared that they were angling for an easier spot in the bracket. Spain on the other hand came dangerously close to losing, needing a late equalizer against Morocco in their last match. It's hard to be impressed with the Spanish defending, after watching them concede five goals in three matches during the group stages. I can't see either of these two teams posting a clean sheet, and I think it will take at least two goals to win this match. Take Over. GL,

06-30-18 | Argentina v. France | 3-4 | Win | 100 | 30 h 59 m | Show
This is a 5* play on France (pickem, draw no bet). Argentina needed a miracle to get out of the group stages, and after they clinched a spot in the Round of 16 with a win over Nigeria, they celebrated like school girls. France on the other hand breezed through the group stages, which allowed them to play an almost scripted draw in their final match versus Denmark. Argentina struggled mightily during World Cup Qualifiers, and their recent performances in international competitions such as Copa America have been a major disappointment. Despite the fact that they have one of the world's best players in Lionel Messi, Argentina hasn't played at an elite level in decades. Even their run to the Final in the World Cup in 2014 in Brazil wasn't as impressive as people might think it would have been. They scored just two goals in their final four matches, and all six of their wins came in games decided by one goal. Prior to their meaningless game against Denmark, France had scored at least two goals in five of seven matches. While they don't have a star to rival Messi, the likes of Pogba, Greizmann, Giroud and Mbappe give them plenty of options when it comes to world class talent. Argentina's center back Javier Mascherano showed up for the match against Nigeria with a black eye, which is rumored to be a product of a fight with a teammate, rather than an incident on the pitch. To say that this Argentinian squad appears fragile, vulnerable, would be putting it mildly. Take France. GL, Jesse Schule |

06-28-18 | Belgium v. England | Top | 1-0 | Win | 100 | 219 h 25 m | Show |
This is a 10* play on Belgium. I bet on Belgium to win this group before the tournament started, and now they must beat England here today to finish top of Group G. England is coming off a 6-1 win over Panama, with Harry Kane scoring a hat trick. This sets up England for a huge let down against a far superior opponent. As good as England looked against a frustrated Panama side, they weren't nearly as sharp in their first match versus Tunisia. Belgium has won five of their last six matches by a margin of at least three goals. England might have a world class striker in Harry Kane, but Belgium has an entire squad full of mega stars. Belgium has posted a clean sheet in four of it's last six matches, England has conceded at least one goal in four of their last five matches. This English side appears to be grossly overvalued due to recency bias coming off the one sided win over Panama. Take BEL. GL,

06-28-18 | Colombia v. Senegal OVER 2.5 | 1-0 | Loss | -100 | 68 h 35 m | Show
This is an 8* play on Over. Colombia was dealt a cruel blow in their opening match of the tournament. In a matter of seconds, the Colombians were down to 10 men and Japan was leading 1-0 after scoring on a penalty. The Colombians continued to attack even with 10 men, and eventually scored the equalizer. Japan scored late to win the match by a score of 2-1. They got off to a far better start in their second match versus Poland, taking a 1-0 lead into the second half. The game would finish 3-0, giving Colombia a +2 goal differential heading into this match versus Senegal. The African team has been exciting to watch, always looking like a threat to score. Their defending has been a little suspect though, and I expect them to be punished here against a Colombian team that is superior to their previous two opponents. My prediction is a 2-1 win for Colombia. Take Over. GL,

06-27-18 | Brazil -181 v. Serbia | 2-0 | Win | 100 | 28 h 11 m | Show
This is a 5* play on Brazil. Serbia conceded a late Shaqiri goal in injury time in their last match, and I never make it a habit to bet on teams coming off a loss like that. Now Serbia needs a win, which should open up the game versus Brazil. It will be Brazil's first match where their opponent isn't playing for a draw. The Brazilians are on the opposite side of the spectrum emotionally, having scored not once but twice in injury time in their 2-0 win over Costa Rica. The added goal now puts Brazil in the driver's seat, where a draw will be enough to see them advance. Don't expect the Brazilians to sit back though, they will look to build on their momentum heading into the round of 16. Honestly I would be shocked if Neymar doesn't draw a penalty in this game, he's been the grand master of the flop, and the VAR has been rewarding those who go to ground easily. Neymar is likely to only intensify his theatrics, and sadly he will probably be rewarded for it.

06-27-18 | Sweden v. Mexico | 3-0 | Loss | -145 | 44 h 46 m | Show
This is an 8* play on Mexico (pickem or draw no bet). It's hard to see the Swedes being in the right mind for this game versus Mexico. They were beaten in injury time by a Toni Kroos free kick that curled itself into the top corner in their 2-1 loss to Germany. That leaves them needing a miracle to advance to the next round. They will need to beat Mexico, and hope that Korea can stun the Germans as a 17-1 underdog. Mexico is in a good spot, needing only a draw to clinch first in the group. If there is one thing the Swedes are known for, it's playing a conservative style and playing for the draw against superior opposition. This isn't a team that is designed to play attacking football, and things could get ugly for them when they open themselves up to the dangerous Mexican counter attack. In their win over Germany, they allowed the Germans to have 61 percent of possession, and fire 25 shots at the net (9 on target). The Swedes will be forced to press here, inevitably leaving them wide open to be punished by the likes of Chicharito and Lozano. Take MEX. GL, Jesse Schule

06-26-18 | Argentina v. Nigeria UNDER 2.75 | 2-1 | Loss | -54.5 | 97 h 32 m | Show
This is a 5* play on Under 2.5. Lionel Messi has faced heavy criticism for his lackluster play in the tournament so far, and he faces a ton of pressure here in Argentina's final game of the group stages. Argentina has scored just one goal in two matches, which isn't as surprising as most people think it is. This is a team that really struggled during World Cup Qualifying matches, and even their run to the Final in the last World Cup wasn't as impressive as people think it was. Most of their wins in 2014 came by a score of 1-0, or on penalties after a 0-0 draw through 90 minutes. Nigeria is in a good spot here, knowing that a draw will likely be good enough to get them to the next round. I think a combination of nerves, and conservative play will lead to a low scoring game here. I predict a 1-1 draw. Take Under. GL, Jesse Schule

06-26-18 | Peru v. Australia OVER 2.25 | 2-0 | Loss | -56.5 | 31 h 31 m | Show
This is an 8* play on Over 2. Australia still has a chance to advance to the next round, but in order to move on they will need to score a minimum of two goals against Peru. The Peruvians aren't so fortunate, so they will be playing only for pride. We saw a spirited effort from a Moroccan team in a similar situation last night, and they scored twice in a 2-2 draw versus Spain. Neither of these teams have anything to gain from a draw, so we should see both sides on attack for the entire 90 minutes. Australia is certainly capable of scoring, totaling six goals in their final two friendlies ahead of the World Cup. Take Over. GL,

06-25-18 | Morocco v. Spain -1.25 | 2-2 | Loss | -128 | 148 h 30 m | Show
This is an 8* play on Spain. The Spanish might need a win here to advance, and likely will need a win to finish first in the group. Morocco is already eliminated, so we should see a wide open game here. I expect the Spanish quality to shine here in a one-sided victory. The Moroccans have yet to score in the tournament, and their 1-0 losses to Portugal and Iran came in entirely different circumstances. There is no reason for them to be conservsative here in this final match, and that shoud open things up for Spain. Take Spain. GL, Jesse Schule |

06-25-18 | Russia v. Uruguay -0.25 | Top | 0-3 | Win | 100 | 1296 h 53 m | Show |
This is a 10* play on Uruguay. Uruguay has won the World Cup in the past, and has been competitive in international competitions in recent seasons. Luis Suarez and Edinson Cavani give them one of the best striker combos in the tournament, and if the defense can hold up they can compete with any team. They get a good draw in the group stages, matched up with Russia, Egypt and Saudia Arabia. This gives them a pretty easy path to the knockout rounds, as the should have little trouble emerging as the winner of Group A. They won their final three matches prior to the tournament by a combined score of 6-0, posting three consecutive clean sheets against Czech Rep, Wales and Uzbekistan. GL, Jesse Schule |

This is a 5* play on Germany. The Germans dominated possession in their opening match versus Mexico, but the likes of Toni Kroos and Timo Werner were unable to make the most of their opportunities. The Germans struggled to deal with the speed and skill of Mexican attackers Lozano and Chicharito. I expect their second match to be a different story all together, as they match up well with an inferior Swedish side. The Swedes lack the quality required to play with Germany, and they know it. Surely the Swedes will come out and play a conservative style, desperately trying to hang on for a draw and salvage a point. The chances of the Germans being blanked in consecutive matches are slim to none. Take GER. GL, Jesse Schule

06-23-18 | South Korea v. Mexico -125 | 1-2 | Win | 100 | 170 h 6 m | Show
This is an 8* play on Mexico. The Mexicans pulled off one of the tournament's biggest shockers when they upset Germany in their opening match. It wasn't just a lucky set of circumstances that led to Mexico's win, in fact the 1-0 score could have been worse for Germany. Lozano and Chicharito had several quality chances, and their speed seemed to cause problems for the Germans. South Korea lost 1-0 to a pretty average Swedish side, and the Koreans have failed to score in three straight matches. Making matters even harder on Korea is the fact that playing for a draw isn't really an option. The Koreans must press forward in attempt to earn maximum points, and we already saw what happened to the Germans when they victimized by the Mexican counter attack. Take MEX. GL,

06-23-18 | Tunisia v. Belgium OVER 2.5 | 2-5 | Win | 100 | 105 h 56 m | Show
This is an 8* play on Over 2.5. Belgium will be a big favorite in their second match of the tournament versus Tunisia, and this game appears to be a mismatch. Tunisia lost 2-1 to England in their opening match, but that score was actually quite flattering. England had a ton of chances and showed a disturbing lack of ability to finish. I don't expect this star studded Belgian squad to struggle when it comes to finishing. When it comes to star power, nobody has more quality than Belgium. Their squad features the likes of Romelu Lukaku, who finished second in the Premier League in scoring two seasons ago. Both Lukaku and Eden Hazard finished among the scoring leaders last season. Belgium has scored a whopping 14 goals in their last five matches, while Tunisia has conceded multiple goals in three of it's last four matches. A draw won't cut it for Tunisia, so slowing the pace and parking a bus in front of their own goal isn't a realistic option. This game should have lot of pace from start to finish, and I expect to see Belgium fill the net. Take Over. GL,

06-22-18 | Serbia v. Switzerland | 1-2 | Loss | -100 | 21 h 14 m | Show
This is a 5* play on the draw. The Swiss are coming off a hard earned draw versus Brazil in their opener, while Serbia is coming off a 1-0 win over Costa Rica. I expect a conservative approach from both these teams, and this game has draw written all over it. Another draw would give the Swiss a chance to punch their ticket to the next round with a win over Costa Rica, while Serbia would also head into their final match with a chance to move on. If either of these teams take a 1-0 lead, they will completely shut down on offense, and look to park a bus in front of their goal. If we get an equalizer, I would expect both teams to be content to play out a draw and call it a day. Take Draw. GL,

06-22-18 | Nigeria v. Iceland UNDER 2.5 | 2-0 | Win | 100 | 7 h 28 m | Show
This is an 8* play on Under 2.5. Nigeria lost 2-0 in it's opener versus Croatia, and it won't get any easier here against a defensive minded Iceland team. While Nigeria desperately needs max points, Iceland will be content to earn another draw here, keeping them in contention to move on to the Final 16. Nigeria has scored just two goals in their last four matches, and only one of their last five matches has seen more than two goals combined. If either of these teams take a 1-0 lead, they will completely shut down on offense, and look to park a bus in front of their goal. If we get an equalizer, I would expect both teams to be content to play out a draw and call it a day. Take Under. GL,

06-22-18 | Costa Rica v. Brazil -1.5 | 0-2 | Win | 100 | 69 h 27 m | Show
Only three of the first eight games in this World Cup saw more than two goals, but after Day Three I predicted an uptick in scoring. What was clear right from the start here in Russia is that VAR (Video Assisted Referee) and goal line technology would play a role. We've seen a record number of penalties, and of course that will lead to more scoring overall. Brazil has to be concerned about the fitness of Neymar, but truth be told they have plenty of quality in the squad regardless. Costa Rica has lost three straight, conceding a total of seven goals in those matches. They lost their final friendly prior to the tournament to Belgium by a score of 4-1, and I expect a similar score here against Brazil. |
|||||||
06-21-18 | Croatia +0.5 v. Argentina | 3-0 | Win | 100 | 9 h 57 m | Show
This is an 8* play on Croatia +0.5. Argentina came into this tournament favored to win Group D, but they looked nothing like a favorite in a 1-1 draw versus Iceland in their opening match. It was all too familiar story for the Argentinians, who struggled in World Cup qualifying matches. Three of their final four World Cup Qualifiers ended in draws. Lionel Messi is under a ton of pressure after a disappointing performance against Iceland that will be remember for his missed penalty. Despite his success at the club level, his resume in international football isn't all that impressive. The Croatians come off a 2-0 win over Nigeria, which will afford them the luxury of playing for a draw here against Argentina. The Croatians have posted clean sheets in three of their last five matches, and that runs includes impressive wins over Senegal and Mexico, who have each impressed so far in Russia. This game has draw written all over it, and I am calling for a 1-1 Final. Take CRO. GL,

This is an 8* play on France. Denmark earned a 1-0 win over Peru in their opening match, but anybody who watched that game would know that Peru could have easily scored two or three goals in that game. Christian Cueva missed a penalty, and Danish keeper Kasper Schmeichel was forced to make a handful of incredible saves. The fact that the Peruvians created so many chances against a defensive Denmark squad would suggest that they have a decent shot at scoring a goal against France. The fact that they failed to make the most of their opportunities would suggest that it won't be enough to withstand a far more dangerous French attack. I look for France to win this game by a score of 2-1 or 3-1. Take France. GL,

If the Danish concede as many chances here against Australia, they can't count on another clean sheet. The Aussies lost 2-1 to France in their opener, which leaves them needing to play for a win here versus Denmark. 06-19-18 | Senegal v. Poland OVER 2 | 2-1 | Win | 100 | 12 h 60 m | Show
This is an 8* play on Over 2. Poland comes into the 2018 World Cup with a pair of wins and a draw in their last three friendlies. They scored a whopping seven goals in those matches, however they conceded two goals in a win over Korea, and two goals in a 2-2 draw versus Croatia. Robert Lewandowski scored twice in a 4-0 win over Lithuania in their most recent match, and he led the German Bundesliga with 29 goals this season. That's almost twice as many as Nils Peterson who finished second with 15 goals. Senegal has enough quality to penetrate the Polish defense, so I don't expect Poland to keep a clean sheet. 06-17-18 | Switzerland v. Brazil -1 | 1-1 | Loss | -150 | 46 h 28 m | Show
This is a 5* play on Brazil. The Brazilians were humiliated on their home soil in the 2014 World Cup, losing to Germany by a score of 7-1. They have waited four long years for an opportunity to atone for that disappointment, and they come into Russia focused, looking like a true contender. Neymar failed to live up to expectations in 2014, but after a solid season as the star for PSG, he's likely more prepared to lead this team. After posting four consecutive clean sheets in four friendlies leading up to the tournament, they should have their way with the Swiss in their opening match. Take BRA. GL, Jesse Schule |

06-15-18 | Spain v. Portugal OVER 1.75 | 3-3 | Win | 100 | 6 h 4 m | Show
This is an 8* play on ESP@POR Over 2. Spain might not be as focused as they should be in their opening match of the 2018 World Cup, having fired their coach just two days prior to the tournament. They will have to be at their absolute best if they want to take maximum points from this opening match versus the reigning European champions Portugal. The Portuguese scored two or more goals in three of their last five matches, and four of those five matches saw at least three goals combined. Spain scored a whopping six goals in a friendly versus Argentina, and they also played a 3-3 draw versus Russia. The only clean sheet for Spain in it's last five matches came against Tunisia. I like both teams to score here in this match, and the over 2 looks to be a solid play. Take Over. GL, Jesse Schule |

06-15-18 | Uruguay -171 v. Egypt | 1-0 | Win | 100 | 243 h 54 m | Show
This is an 8* play on Uruguay.

06-14-18 | Saudi Arabia +1.25 v. Russia | 0-5 | Loss | -118 | 22 h 3 m | Show
This is a 5* play on Saudi Arabia (handicap +1 or +1.5 depending on availability). Russia is expected to have an advantage as the host nation, but I believe that bookmakers are overcompensating for that perceived advantage. The Russians are a 2-1 favorite in their opening match versus Saudi Arabia, which might make sense when you consider that the Saudis are ranked 67th in the FIFA World Rankings. You might think that in a tournament with just 32 teams, surely that would be the lowest world rankings. Not so fast, it's Russia that ranks 70th that comes in with the lowest ranking. The Russians come in with three losses and one draw in their last four international matches. The Saudis come in off three straight losses, but two of those came in one goal games, including a 2-1 loss to defending champs Germany. Prior to that they won games against Greece and Algeria. The Russian squad includes seven players over the age of 30, and several key players are sidelined by injury. The Russians will be particularly thin at the back, which will prevent them from playing an aggressive style. Both teams would be pretty happy with a draw here. Take RSA. GL, Jesse Schule |

06-13-18 | Orlando City SC v. Montreal Impact OVER 3 | 0-3 | Push | 0 | 35 h 8 m | Show
This is an 8* play on Orlando vs Montreal to go Over 2.5. Orlando City F.C. is one of the highest scoring teams in the MLS, with 24 goals in 14 matches. They are also one of the league's worst defensive teams, conceding a whopping 28 goals in those 14 matches. When it comes to poor defending, nobody is worse than the Montreal Impact, who have conceded an MLS leading 31 goals this season. The Impact have only scored 15 goals this season, but have scored nine goals in six home matches. Previous meetings between these two teams have yielded plenty of goals, with four of the last five meetings combining for three or more goals. Orlando City scored twice with just 10 men in a 5-2 loss at Vancouver last week. Take OVER. GL,

06-02-18 | Houston Dynamo v. Montreal Impact OVER 3 | 0-1 | Loss | -100 | 10 h 53 m | Show
This is an 8* play on Montreal vs Houston Over 2.5. Tonight's MLS match between the Impact and the Dynamo will feature Houston's MLS leading offense versus a Montreal team that ranks dead last in the MLS in goals against. These teams have a history of playing high scoring games, with the total going over in four of the last five head to head meetings. Houston has seen at least three goals scored in each of it's last 10 matches overall. The Dynamo have scored a major league best 27 goals in 12 matches. Take Over. GL, Jesse Schule |

05-26-18 | DC United v. Los Angeles FC OVER 3 | 1-1 | Loss | -123 | 11 h 46 m | Show
This is a 5* play on DC United vs LAFC to go Over 2.5. I would hesitate to back the home favorite here, as LAFC only has a +5 goal differential in 11 matches. This team can certainly score it's fair share of goals, tallying 23 so far this season. They have also conceded more than their fair share (18). DC United sits at the bottom of the table, but surprisingly they have scored just four fewer goals than they have conceded. They have done the bulk of their scoring in their last three matches, scoring nine times while losing two of their last three. We should see at least three goals here in LA. Take OVER. GL, Jesse Schule |

05-25-18 | New York City FC v. Houston Dynamo OVER 3 | 1-3 | Win | 100 | 11 h 39 m | Show
This is a 5* play on NYC vs HOU Over 2.5. Two of the highest scoring teams in the MLS will meet in Houston tonight, and we should see plenty of scoring. The Dynamo come in on top form, with a record of 3-1-1 in their last five matches. They totaled a whopping 14 goals in those games. New York City FC is just 2-2-1 in it's last five matches, but is coming off a 4-0 win over Colorado. Between the two teams they have combined to score a whopping 48 goals in a combined 22 matches. This is an 8* play on LAFC vs Vancouver to go Over the total.
LAFC got off to a good start in it's first season in the MLS, but after winning their first two matches, they have been out-scored by a combined score of 9-3 in back to back losses. They have conceded 10 goals total in four matches, and only two teams in the MLS have allowed more. Vancouver is sitting in second place in the Western Conference, and the Whitecaps are still undefeated at home. Vancouver scored 50 goals in 34 MLS matches last season, and the majority of those goals came at home. Neither of these two teams are particularly strong defensively, so we should expect a few goals on the West Coast tonight. Take OVER. GL, Jesse Schule |

This is a 10* play on Liverpool vs Porto to go Over the total. Only Manchester City has scored more goals in the Premier League this season than Liverpool. The Reds have scored nine goals in their last four matches. While they score more than their share, they also have conceded more than their share (31 goals in 27 matches). Porto sits at the top of the Portuguese Liga standings, and only Benfica has score more goals. Porto has scored a whopping seven goals in it's last two matches. Both teams have plenty of firepower, and I expect the first leg of this Champions League tie to be a high scoring affair. Take Over. GL, Jesse Schule |

01-14-18 | Manchester City v. Liverpool OVER 3 | Top | 3-4 | Win | 100 | 9 h 5 m | Show |
This is a 10* play on Liverpool vs MNC to go OVER the total. The two highest scoring teams in the Premier League will meet at Anfield on Sunday, and both Liverpool and Man City are undefeated in their last five matches. Both teams are coming off four wins and a draw, and they have both filled the net during that time. City has scored a whopping nine goals in it's last three matches, and 14 goals in it's last six matches. The Reds have scored 14 goals in their last five matches, and nine goals in their last three home matches. As good as Liverpool is at scoring goals, defending isn't a strength for the Reds. They have conceded 25 goals in 22 matches, and five of those came in a 5-0 loss to City in December. Neither team has posted a clean sheet in it's last three league matches, and I expect both teams to score here at Anfield. This should be a high scoring game, and I wouldn't be surprised if it ends in a 2-2 draw. Take OVER. GL, Jesse Schule |

12-10-17 | Manchester City v. Manchester United +0.5 | Top | 2-1 | Loss | -120 | 167 h 8 m | Show |
This is a 10* play on Manchester United. The Manchester Derby has been rather one-sided over the last two seasons. United is 3-1-1 in the last five head to head matches against City, and the lone loss came by a score of 2-1 last September. The Red Devils are on top form, scoring seven goals in their last two matches. City scored just five times in three matches prior to last week's game at West Ham. They took maximum points in those matches, but failed to impress. Jose Mourino's squad has conceded a Premier League best nine goals in 15 matches this season. Mourino has been known to play for a draw in situations like this, so a conservative game plan would be no surprise. City will be playing a fourth match in just 11 days, and just four days after a trip to the Ukraine. This looks like a tough spot for the road favorite. Take MUTD. GL, Jesse Schule |

11-29-17 | Liverpool v. Stoke City OVER 3 | Top | 3-0 | Push | 0 | 16 h 55 m | Show |
This is a 10* play on Liverpool vs Stoke to go OVER the total. Stoke City is only three points clear of the relegation zone, and only Everton has conceded more goals this season than the Potters. They normally do play well at home though, and they are 2-2-2 at BET365 Stadium this season. Their last home match was a 2-2 draw versus Leicester City, and they've scored five goals in their last three matches. Liverpool has scored seven goals in it's last three matches, and they have conceded four. Only the top two clubs (Manchester and Manchester City) have scored more goals this season than the Reds. These two teams have scored a whopping 13 goals in the last three head to head meetings, and I expect another high scoring game here in this game. Take OVER. GL,

This is a 10* play on West Ham vs Liverpool to go OVER the total. Liverpool has had little trouble filling the net recently, tallying a whopping 15 goals in their last four matches. They won their last Premier League match by a score of 3-0 over Huddersfield Town at Anfield. They will play at West Ham this Saturday, and the Hammers have scored five goals in their last two matches, including a 3-2 win over Spurs in the Carabao Cup. Crystal Palace holds the dubious distinction of allowing a Premier League worst 21 goals, but Liverpool and West Ham aren't far off. The Hammers have given up 19 goals in 10 matches, while Liverpool has conceded 16, while scoring 17. These two teams have scored at least three goals combined in each of the last three meetings, and they've scored eight goals combined in the last two meetings. The last time Liverpool played at West Ham, they played to a 2-2 draw. I expect a similar result here on Saturday.

11-01-17 | Real Madrid v. Tottenham Hotspur OVER 3 | Top | 1-3 | Win | 100 | 8 h 54 m | Show |
This is a 10* play on Madrid/Spurs to go OVER the total. The defending champions Real Madrid come to Wembley already on the back foot. They are already losing on aggregate by virtue of Tottenham's away goal in a 1-1 draw in the first leg in Madrid. This is a team that scored 106 goals in 38 league games last season, and Christiano Ronaldo is the all time leading scorer in the Champions League. Tottenham was the highest scoring team in the Premier League last year, and the Spurs have scored 19 goals in 10 matches this season. Their last two games at Wembley were both high scoring, beating Liverpool 4-1 and losing 3-2 to West Ham. Harry Kane didn't play in a loss to Manchester United this weekend, but he's expected to be fit and ready to play against Real Madrid. Tottenham's last home game in the Champions League was a 3-1 win over Borussia Dortmund. I expect to see another high scoring game here at Wembley. Take OVER. GL,

This is a 10* play play on West Ham. The Hammers were expected to be a dark horse to threaten for one of the top five spots in the Premier League this season, but they got off to a horrendous start. They were outscored 10-2 while losing their first three league matches, but they've played far better football over their last three matches. During that span they've scored four goals while conceding three, going 1-1-1. The one loss came to Tottenham by a score of 3-2. Swansea has only scored three goals in six league games, and those goals came against Crystal Palace and Watford. West Ham has won the last two meetings between the two teams, outscoring the Swans 5-1 in those games. Take WHU. GL,

The Chicago Fire have had their fair share of trouble defending of late, conceding a whopping 10 goals in their last four matches. This is a 5* play on the draw between Sporting KC vs Atlanta FC. Kansas City sits top of the table in the Western Conference, while Atlanta is 5th in the East. Only two points separate the two teams though, and Atlanta has played one fewer match. Kansas City has an MLS leading nine draws, and has drawn in three of it's last five matches. Atlanta is coming off a draw versus Orlando, and I wouldn't be surprised to see the visitors give KC a run for their money here Sunday. Atlanta is the highest scoring team in the MLS this season, while Kansas City is by far the best team defensively. There's no doubt that the home team will want to have a conservative approach to this match, and I don't think a draw would be too much of a disappointment for either side. Take DRAW. 08-05-17 | Bayern Munich v. Borussia Dortmund +190 | Top | 2-2 | Loss | -100 | 23 h 38 m | Show |
This is a 10* play on Borussia Dortmund. Bundesliga Champions Bayern Munich will play Borrussia Dortmund at Signal Iduna Park in the German Cup Saturday. Dortmund finished third in the Bundesliga last season, but they were undefeated at home, boasting a record of 13-0-4 in 17 matches. Dortmund beat Bayern by a score of 3-2 in last year's German Cup, the last meeting between the two teams. These teams have been evenly matched over the last five meetings, going 2-2-1 during that span. Bayern comes into this match with a decimated squad, as starting keeper Manuel Neuer and six other starters are sidelined by injury. James Rodriguez is perhaps the biggest name among the injured, but Arjen Robben and Jerome Boataeng are also key players that will be missed. Bayern is coming into this match in terrible form, coming off a pair of ugly losses by a combined score of 5-0 (versus Liverpool and Napoli). Take Dortmund. GL, Jesse Schule |

07-22-17 | Colorado Rapids v. Toronto FC -200 | 1-1 | Loss | -200 | 10 h 35 m | Show
This is an 8* play on Toronto F.C. Toronto sits at the top of the table in MLS, and they host bottom feeders Colorado on Saturday. The Rapids have lost all seven away matches this season, getting out-scored 13-2 in those games. Only D.C. United has scored fewer goals this season than Colorado, while Toronto ranks among the top offensive teams in the league. Toronto's +15 goal differential ranks second only to Chicago. Colorado comes in on poor form, losing four of it's last five overall. Toronto is 3-1-1 in it's last five matches, and 7-0 in it's last seven home games. Take TOR. GL, Jesse Schule

07-19-17 | Philadelphia Union +0.5 v. Montreal Impact | Top | 1-2 | Loss | -100 | 65 h 43 m | Show |
This is a 10* play on PHI@MTL to Draw. The Philadelphia Union will play at Montreal on Wednesday, and these two teams appear to be evenly matched. They sit 8th and 9th in the Eastern Conference, with only two points separating the two clubs. They have played three draws in the last four head to head meetings. The Union have earned points in four straight matches, and two of their last three matches have been level after 90 minutes. I think the visitors will be content to play for a draw here, and they have been solid enough defensively to do just that. Take DRAW. GL, Jesse Schule

07-11-17 | Canada +1 v. Costa Rica | Top | 1-1 | Win | 100 | 6 h 51 m | Show |
This is a 10* play on Canada vs Costa Rica to draw. Costa Rica will be a big favorite in their Gold Cup match versus Canada, despite looking rather disappointing in a 1-0 win versus Honduras. Canada opened up a 3-0 lead in it's last match versus French Guiana, but they allowed a pair of late goals, and held on to win by a score of 4-2. These teams have played seven times over the last 10 years, and four of those matches finished in a draw. Canada won twice while Costa Rica only managed one win in those seven matches. With both teams coming off a win, playing for a draw wouldn't be a terrible result for either side. GL, Jesse Schule |

07-06-17 | Philadelphia Union v. Sporting Kansas City UNDER 2.5 | Top | 1-1 | Win | 100 | 34 h 27 m | Show |
This is a 10* play on UNDER (PHI@KC) Kansas City is by far the top defensive team in MLS, only conceding 13 goals this season in 19 matches. They boast an undefeated (6-0-3) home record, and have only conceded four goals in those nine matches. Philadelphia has just one victory in seven matches on the road, and the Union rank 14th in MLS in scoring. This looks like a tough matchup for a Philly team that has had some recent success against lesser opponents. Kansas City had to settle for a draw in their last home match versus Portland, but with several key players away from the team due to international duties, it should be considered a positive result. Their top three American players will miss this game as well, as the USMNT is playing Mexico in the Gold Cup. Both teams could be content to play for a draw here, and goals may be hard to come by. 07-04-17 | San Jose Earthquakes v. Atlanta United -175 | Top | 2-4 | Win | 100 | 17 h 54 m | Show |
This is a 10* play on Atlanta FC. Atlanta is the highest scoring team in the MLS with 35 goals in 18 games. They are coming off a 2-0 road win at Columbus Saturday, and they host the San Jose Earthquakes on July 4th. San Jose is undefeated in it's last five matches, but all of those were home games against lesser teams. Taking on an offensive powerhouse on the road at Bobby Dodd Stadium could prove to be too much to handle for the visitors. Atlanta has won five of seven home matches, while the Earthquakes have lost five of seven away matches. Atlanta has out-scored the opposition 11-3 winning four straight home matches. They will play at Columbus on Saturday, and the Crew will look to avenge a 3-1 defeat suffered at Bobby Dodd Stadium two weeks ago. Columbus has conceded an Eastern Conference worst 30 goals, and we should expect a high scoring game here in the rematch. The over is 6-3-1 in Columbus' last 10 overall. The Crew have scored a whopping seven goals in their last two home games, and their last match was a 4-1 win over Montreal. Atlanta has conceded seven goals in their last three road games, and they lost their last match 3-2 at Miami. Take OVER. GL, Jesse Schule

This is a 10* play on Toronto F.C.
Toronto suffered a 3-0 loss at New England two weeks ago, setting up a revenge spot here at home tonight. That game was tough for Toronto, playing without several key players who were representing their national teams. New England lost by a score of 2-1 at Chicago last week, and the revolution are 0-5-3 on the road this season. Toronto is coming off a 2-0 home win over D.C. United, and here is what I said prior to that match: "Toronto have all it's big guns for this home match versus D.C. United. Michael Bradley, Jose Altidore and Sebastian Giovinco will all be fit for the first time in over six weeks. Toronto has six wins and two draws in it's last eight home games..." Last week's match was even more one-sided than the score would indicate, as Toronto missed several quality chances in the first half. With last week's game under their belt, and a full week to practice, Toronto's star players will likely only get better. This should be an easy win for the home team. Take TFC. GL, Jesse Schule |

Juventus defeated Monaco by a score of 2-1, winning 4-1 on Aggraget in their Semifinal tie. Real Madrid lost 2-1 to Atletico, but after winning 3-0 in the first leg, they advanced with a 4-2 Aggraget win. These two teams have met four times since 2013, and both teams have scored in all four of those matches. Three of the four matches saw at least three goals scored. History tells us that we should expect goals in the Champions League Final. Both teams have scored in each of the last six Finals, and we haven't seen the a Final match with less than two goals scored since 2002 when Juventus played Italian league rivals Milan. Juventus has been scoring plenty of goals lately, finding the net 11 times in the last five matches. Real Madrid has played nine straight matches with at least three goals, and they've scored a whopping 16 goals in their last five matches. Take OVER. GL, Jesse Schule |

This is a 10* play on Manchester United vs Ajax to go UNDER 2.5 goals.
It's been a fairly successful first season in Manchester for Jose Mourinho, and the Red Devils will hope to add some hardware here in the Europa League Final. They are up against a tough opponent though, and I expect a defensive battle with goals being hard to come by. Ajax was the top defensive team in the Dutch League, allowing a league low 23 goals in 34 matches. Manchester United conceded just 29 goals in 38 matches in the Premier League, and only Tottenham conceded fewer. The Red Devils have gone under in seven of their last eight matches, and they've posted five clean sheets during that span. Both their previous Europa League games went under, defeating Celta Vigo 1-0 in the first leg, and then drawing 1-1 in the second match. Mourinho might be even more conservative in his approach with his leading scorer Zlatan Ibrahimovic sidelined by injury. I wouldn't be surprised to see these teams draw in regulation, settling things with added time or penalties. Take UNDER. GL, Jesse Schule |

Chelsea clinched the league on Friday, and that may take a little pressure off for Spurs in their final game at White Hart Lane. Manchester United has nothing left to play for in the Premier League, and Jose Mourinho has already admitted that he won't field his best squad for this match. The Red Devils are focused on their Europa League Final match versus Ajax, and they might not provide a lot of resistance for a Spurs team that has been brilliant at home this season. Tottenham is undefeated at home, with 16 wins and just two draws in 18 matches. The Spurs have scored 34 goals and conceded just 16 in those games. They've outscored their opponent's 10-0 in their last three home matches. Take SPURS. GL, Jesse Schule |

Real Madrid is level on points with Spanish league rivals Barcelona, while Atletico sits 10 points back in the La Liga standings. Atletico returns home for the second leg of this Champions League tie after suffering a 3-0 loss at the Bernabeu last week. It's going to take a miracle for Atletico to advance, needing at least four goals here at home versus Los Blancos. With a comfortable three goal lead, Real Madrid can afford to be conservative. Atletico is a formidable opponent for even the toughest challengers when they play on their home pitch. They are undefeated at home in Champions League play, and 13-3-2 in their domestic league. They have registered clean sheets in six of their last 10 matches, and have scored first in seven of those games. While I don't fancy their chances of overcoming a three goal deficit, they should find a way to win this game at home. Take Atletico. GL, Jesse Schule |

05-06-17 | Sunderland v. Hull City -205 | 2-0 | Loss | -205 | 9 h 2 m | Show
This is a 5* play on Hull City. Sunderland has already been relegated, and now will play for nothing but pride. Hull City needs to win to avoid suffering the same fate, making this a "must win" for the home side. The Tigers have a solid home record of 8-5-4, and they are 3-1-1 in their last five matches versus Sunderdland. The Black Cats are winless in their last 10 matches, and have just two wins in 16 away matches this season. Hull City is on top form at home, winning four straight. The Tigers should roll here against a sad sacked Sunderland squad with questionable motivation. Take HULL. GL, Jesse Schule |

05-03-17 | Juventus v. AS Monaco OVER 2.5 | Top | 2-0 | Loss | -110 | 52 h 25 m | Show |
This is a 10* play on Monaco vs Juventus to go OVER the total.
The Series A leaders Juventus will visit Monaco in a Champions League Semi Final match Wednesday, and these teams have contrasting styles. Monaco was the highest scoring team in Europe this season, averaging more than three goals per game. The French side has averaged a goal every 32 minutes at home, and nine of Monaco's last 10 matches have seen at least three goals scored. Juventus has scored at least two goals in five of it's last six matches, but the Italians are known more for their defensive prowess. They have posted clean sheets in seven of their last 10 matches. I expect to see Monaco play an aggressive brand of football here at home, allowing Juventus to take advantage of any mistake with a dangerous counter attack. When all is said and done I expect both teams to score, and we should see an exciting match with at least three total goals. Take OVER. GL, Jesse Schule |

04-08-17 | Swansea City v. West Ham United OVER 2.5 | Top | 0-1 | Loss | -130 | 79 h 57 m | Show |
This is a 10* play on Swansea vs. West Ham to go OVER the total.
Swansea City is on the verge of being relegated from England's top league, and shocking defending is to blame. The Swans have conceded a Premier League worst 66 goals this season, and they will play a tough away match at West Ham Saturday. These teams played twice in 2016, and they combined to score 10 goals in those two games. The home side lost both matches by a score of 4-1, which is even more reason for concern for a struggling West Ham club. The Hammers have lost five straight, and they've conceded a whopping 13 goals in those games. Nine of West Ham's last 10 matches have seen at least three goals scored, and up against a desperate Swansea side that badly needs maximum points, I expect to see another barn burner in London Saturday. Take OVER. GL, Jesse Schule |

This is a 10* play on Bournemouth vs Swansea to go OVER the total.
Swansea is just two points clear of the relegation zone, and three points back of Bournemouth in the Premier League table. The Swans have conceded a Premier League worst 61 goals this season, and Bournemouth hasn't been much better, conceding 54 goals. Swansea has seen at least three goals scored in seven of it's last eight games overall. During that span the Swans have scored 13 goals and conceded 16. These teams have a history of playing high scoring games. In three matches over the last two seasons, the Swans have conceded eight goals, scoring just four of their own. All three games saw at least three goals. Take OVER. GL, Jesse Schule |

03-06-17 | Chelsea v. West Ham United OVER 2.5 | Top | 2-1 | Win | 100 | 7 h 17 m | Show |
This is a 10* play on Chelsea vs. West Ham to go OVER the total. Chelsea will play at West Ham Monday, and the Blues are running away with the Premier League title this season. Chelsea comes in as a heavy favorite, but historically they've had trouble with the Hammers. West Ham has scored five goals while going 1-1-1 in the last three meetings between the two teams. The Blues lost their last visit to West Ham by a score of 2-1 back in 2015. Only Liverpool has scored more goals than Chelsea this season, and the Blues have played one fewer game. West Ham has had trouble keeping the ball out of their own net, especially at home where it has conceded a whopping 22 goals in 13 matches. The Hammers have scored five goals in their last three home matches, but they gave up six goals in those games. Five of West Ham's last six games have seen at least three goals scored. Take OVER. 11-19-16 | Swansea City v. Everton -190 | 1-1 | Loss | -190 | 8 h 45 m | Show
This is a 6* play on Everton. I bet against Everton when the Toffees played at Chelsea in their last Premier League match on November 5th (before the international break). They were embarrassed in 5-0 loss at Stamford Bridge, but I like their chances of bouncing back here this week at home where they remain undefeated this season. They will host Swansea, and the Swans are sitting at the bottom of the table, tied for last place with Sunderland. They've lost eight of 11 games this season, managing just one win and two draws. This will be a big game for defender Ashley Williams, the former Swans captain is set to face his former team for the first time. Everton striker Romelu Lukaku has scored seven goals this season, just two fewer than Premier League leader Diego Costa. He's scored in each of Everton's last three home games, and that trend is likely to continue here today against the shoddy defending of Swansea. Take EVE. GL, Jesse Schule |

07-07-16 | France v. Germany | 2-0 | Loss | -100 | 61 h 42 m | Show
This is a 5* play on Germany. The reigning World Champions Germany will be looking to make a second straight final in a major tournament when it battles France at Stade Velodrome in Marseille on Thursday. Germany defeated Italy after a penalty shootout in its quarter-finals match-up while France took care of business early against Iceland and went into halftime with a 4-0 lead. This figures to be a tougher test for the host nation though; It has not had much success against Germany in modern times and not beaten the Germans in a major tournament since 1958. The Germans defeated France 1-0 on its road to the World Cup title in Brazil two years ago. France has never kept a clean sheet in four meetings with Germany at major tournaments. France is the highest scoring team in the tournament, but will come up against the team with the best defensive record here with just one goal allowed in five games. France's defense has not looked quite as impressive and if there's a team that will edge this game within regulation time it's Germany. Take GER. GL, Jesse Schule |

07-03-16 | Iceland v. France -221 | 2-5 | Win | 100 | 27 h 18 m | Show
This is a 5* play on France. Iceland heads into this quarterfinal match versus France as an enormous underdog, but after beating England in the round o 16, anything seems possible. Putting things in perspective, playing France on French soil doesn't even compare to their previous match versus an English side that is notorious for disappointing in international competitions. France is 6-0-1 in it's last seven matches, and it has scored at least twice in all six of those victories. The French came back after conceding an early goal (penalty) versus Ireland, winning 2-1. As impressive as Iceland's defense has looked so far in the tournament, you have to keep in mind that they haven't faced any of the top teams. I expect this game to be a completely one-sided affair, with France winning big. Take France. GL, Jesse Schule |
