11-21-22 | 49ers v. Cardinals +8.5 | 38-10 | Loss | -110 | 33 h 41 m | Show
In the mediocre NFC West, the San Francisco 49ers look like a team ready to make a charge up the standings. As for the Arizona Cardinals? Well, at least there's still hope. The 49ers and Cardinals meet in Mexico City on Monday night in a showdown between division rivals. It's also a rematch of the first regular-season NFL game played in another country: The Cardinals beat the 49ers 31-14 at Estadio Azteca in 2005 in front of more than 100,000 fans. San Francisco (5-4) is trying for its third straight win and has one of the best defenses in the league. The offense isn't quite as impressive, though it's stabilized under veteran quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo and recently acquired running back Christian McCaffery, who the Niners added a few weeks ago in a trade with the Panthers. The Cardinals (4-6) got a badly needed 27-17 win over the Rams last weekend with backup quarterback Colt McCoy under center. Starter Kyler Murray missed the game because of a sore hamstring. Murray hopes to be available Monday for a game that's crucial for staying in the playoff race. Look for Murray to give the Cardinals boost |

11-20-22 | Cowboys -1 v. Vikings | 40-3 | Win | 100 | 24 h 22 m | Show
The last six regular-season games between the Cowboys and Vikings have all been decided by four points or fewer, the longest streak between any two NFL teams since the Ravens and Steelers had a six-game streak from 2008-10. The last teams to do so in seven straight meetings were Carolina and Washington from 1998-2009 (7).

11-20-22 | Lions +3 v. Giants | 31-18 | Win | 100 | 22 h 42 m | Show
The Detroit Lions and New York Giants have been hanging out in the same neighborhood of the NFL for the past seven years, at least in terms of the standings. Neither team has made the playoffs since 2016. The Giants were 4-13 last season, while the Lions were 3-13-1. When the teams meet on Sunday at MetLife Stadium, fans are going to notice a difference. The Giants are 7-2 under first-year coach Brian Daboll and closing in on the playoffs. The Lions are a deceptive 3-6 under second-year coach Dan Campbell. Both teams are making progress. The Giants have done more, but the Lions are not that far off. They have won two in a row, and four of their losses have been by four points or less. "They are at a point right now where they haven't been able to win the close games and we've been able to," Giants safety Julian Love said. "We know that this team is a good team and we can't take them for granted on what their record is because they are a tougher team than what their record shows." The Giants simply find ways to win. Five of their seven victories have been by six points or fewer and the other two were by eight-point margins. Campbell is confident the Lions are on the right track. |

11-20-22 | Jets +3.5 v. Patriots | 3-10 | Loss | -110 | 21 h 53 m | Show
Jets center Connor McGovern has played only three seasons in New York. But he's spent his entire career in the AFC, more than long enough to know what it has taken for teams to succeed in the conference over the past two-plus decades. "I think everybody in the AFC sees the Patriots as a team they have to go through, whether they have Tom Brady back there or Mac Jones or whoever is on their roster," McGovern said. "No matter who's on their roster, they're a tough team to beat." New York found that out last month when it had its four-game win streak snapped in a 22-17 loss at home by what at the time was a sub-.500 Patriots team. Three weeks later, the Jets (6-3) are still one of the NFL's hottest teams as they prepare for their second shot against the Patriots (5-4), who are above .500 for the first time this season. And for the first time in a long time, the outcome of Sunday's rematch carries serious playoff implications for both sides. New York is a half-game behind idle first-place Miami in the AFC East and would move into first with a victory over the Patriots. The Jets haven't been in that position 10 or more games into a season since 2010, when New England and New York were tied at 9-2. |

11-20-22 | Bears +3 v. Falcons | Top | 24-27 | Push | 0 | 22 h 5 m | Show |
Justin Fields and the Chicago Bears are learning how to score in the quarterback's second season. Learning to win has been the more difficult lesson. Fields will be in the spotlight for his Georgia homecoming as the Bears and Atlanta Falcons match strong running games - and deflating losing streaks - on Sunday. Fields, a native of the Atlanta suburb of Kennesaw, began his college career at Georgia before transferring to Ohio State. Fields' family had Falcons season tickets. He said his favorite Atlanta players were quarterback Matt Ryan and wide receiver Julio Jones. Fields didn't know how many of his friends and family members will attend the game. "I know my regular people are going - my mom, my dad," Fields said. "But of course, it's exciting, for sure. My goal really is just to go 1-0 this week and win the game down there." Fields, a 2021 first-round pick, has solidified his status as the Bears' franchise quarterback by leading the NFL's top rushing offense. He returns to Atlanta after rushing for a combined 325 yards the last two weeks, the highest two-game total by an NFL quarterback, surpassing the 268 two-game total by Baltimore's Lamar Jackson in 2019. Fields ran for 178 yards against Miami two weeks ago and added 147 in last week's 31-30 loss to Detroit. He will be the top priority for Atlanta's defense. |

11-13-22 | Colts +4.5 v. Raiders | 25-20 | Win | 100 | 6 h 53 m | Show
The Las Vegas Raiders had no video or scouting reports this week to prepare for Indianapolis Colts interim coach Jeff Saturday. Until Monday, he was an ESPN analyst. The unorthodox move by the Colts to hire Saturday after firing Frank Reich has forced the Raiders - already down two key weapons with tight end Darren Waller and wide receiver Hunter Renfrow going on injured reserve Thursday - to head into Sunday's game in Las Vegas largely in the dark. "I would assume that they're going to let the coaches that have been there to coach," Raiders coach Josh McDaniels said. "And the scheme isn't going to dramatically change on offense, defense or in the kicking game. And we talked (Wednesday) morning, they're going to be ready to go because Jeff will have them ready to go." One of the coaches on the Colts' staff is defensive coordinator Gus Bradley, who served in the same role in Las Vegas last year, so there is some familiarity. But it works both ways because Bradley has insight on how to defend the Raiders' offense, though he noted the system and some of the personnel have changed. No matter who's in charge, both teams find themselves in similar positions. |

11-03-22 | Eagles -13.5 v. Texans | 29-17 | Loss | -110 | 1 h 43 m | Show
Jalen Hurts was born in Houston and grew up about 25 miles from NRG Stadium. As a child he dreamed of playing at the stadium the Houston Texans call home. On Thursday night he'll finally get that chance when he leads the undefeated Philadelphia Eagles (7-0) against the lowly one-win Texans (1-5-1). "I never had the opportunity to go play in Reliant as a kid, now known as NRG," he said. "I spent a lot of time in the Houston Texans facility, my godfather being on staff as a child, and I have a lot of memories at that place, so it'll be exciting." Houston coach Lovie Smith knows Hurts will be amped up to play so close to home, but he isn't going to roll out the welcome wagon to meet the young star. |

10-30-22 | 49ers v. Rams | 31-14 | Win | 100 | 4 h 31 m | Show
The Los Angeles Rams' rivalry with the 49ers has been thoroughly, shockingly one-sided in San Francisco's favor over the past several seasons. Well, except in the one meeting that mattered the most. But that NFC championship game victory by the Rams last January meant nothing when San Francisco routed LA yet again four weeks ago. It means even less this Sunday before the Rams' second meeting of the season - and fourth meeting of 2022 - with the 49ers, who have won a whopping seven consecutive regular-season games against Los Angeles. Even the Rams' only victory over the 49ers since 2018 was hardly convincing: San Francisco had to blow a 10-point lead in the fourth quarter, and Niners safety Jaquiski Tartt had to drop a surefire late interception while the Rams surged into the Super Bowl. With fresh optimism after their bye week, the Rams (3-3) are hoping this will be the week they finally break through in decisive fashion against the 49ers (3-4), who have lost two straight and have beaten only one team other than Los Angeles since Week 2. |
|||||||
10-16-22 | Panthers +11 v. Rams | 10-24 | Loss | -128 | 36 h 30 m | Show
Not many NFL offenses have struggled more than the Los Angeles Rams' unit this season. The Carolina Panthers' offense is one of them. The Panthers' struggles aren't exactly surprising, since their top three quarterbacks are either injured or ineffective. Carolina (1-4) took drastic steps to fix its larger problems Monday by firing coach Matt Rhule, and Steve Wilks will make his interim head coaching debut Sunday when the Panthers visit the defending Super Bowl champions (2-3) at SoFi Stadium. Wilks' quarterback is all but certain to be P.J. Walker, the seldom-used veteran backup who's the last man standing behind Baker Mayfield and Southern California natives Sam Darnold and Matt Corral. |

10-10-22 | Raiders +7 v. Chiefs | Top | 29-30 | Win | 100 | 16 h 14 m | Show |
The Raiders have been playing in close games lately, with their last nine games all decided by a single-digit margin (including playoffs). That's one shy of tying the franchise record of 10 straight, done twice (1975-76 and 1998-99).

10-09-22 | Eagles v. Cardinals +5.5 | 20-17 | Win | 100 | 7 h 11 m | Show
No NFL quarterback has struggled quite as much this season as Carolina's Baker Mayfield. The bumpy road isn't expected to get any smoother on Sunday for the 2018 No. 1 overall draft pick. Mayfield, who is last in the NFL in ESPN's total quarterback rating, leads the league's worst offense against its top-ranked defense when the Panthers (1-3) host the San Francisco 49ers (2-2). Mayfield joined the Panthers in July after a trade with the Cleveland Browns. He has struggled mightily, completing a league-low 54.7% of his passes while being limited to 186.7 yards passing per game with four touchdowns and three interceptions. |

10-09-22 | Dolphins v. Jets +3.5 | 17-40 | Win | 100 | 70 h 43 m | Show
The Dolphins began the season 3-0 with big wins over the New England Patriots, Baltimore Ravens, and Bills. However, last week in Cincinnati was a different story. Miami not only lost the game, but they lost starting quarterback Tua Tagovailoa as well. In their week three matchup against the Bills, Tagovailoa hit the back of his head on the ground and stumbled as he attempted to return to the huddle. He was then taken to the locker room for a concussion evaluation, which he passed. Tua returned to the game in the second half and led Miami to a win. Tagovailoa started at quarterback for Miami four days later in their Thursday night matchup against the Bengals. For the second week in a row, he hit his head on the ground. But this time, he wasn’t able to get up off the field. A stretcher carried him off the field and he was rushed to the hospital where he was diagnosed with a concussion. Tagovailoa was discharged from the University of Cincinnati Medical Center and was allowed to fly home with the team on Friday morning. Head coach Mike McDaniel said Tua will remain out with no timetable for return. |

10-09-22 | Falcons +10.5 v. Bucs | 15-21 | Win | 100 | 70 h 34 m | Show
After getting off to a rocky start on the year the Falcons are bouncing back. They started with two close losses by a combined five points. Since then, the Birds are flipping the script. They continue to play close games, but come out n the winning side. A road win against the Seahawks by four got them in the win column in week three. Last week, they pulled out a three-point game at home over the Browns. The defense sealed the deal with a huge Dee Alford INT with just around a minute left. |

10-09-22 | Seahawks v. Saints -5 | 32-39 | Win | 100 | 3 h 29 m | Show
Saints running back Alvin Kamara is having trouble recognizing his own team lately. New Orleans (1-3) has fumbled, stumbled and fouled its way through a three-game losing streak. The Saints - who haven't had a losing season since drafting Kamara in 2017 - are trying to clean up their act before hosting Seattle (2-2) on Sunday. |
|||||||
10-09-22 | Giants +9 v. Packers | Top | 27-22 | Win | 100 | 66 h 19 m | Show |
Green Bay Packers coach Matt LaFleur has done the London trip twice before as an offensive coordinator and "didn't leave the hotel either time." Safe to say he'd prefer star quarterback Aaron Rodgers - a Manchester City fan - not try to venture north for the Premier League champion's home game Saturday (though Rodgers could satisfy his soccer fix Friday night when the U.S. women's team faces European champion England in a friendly at Wembley Stadium). The Packers' schedule for their first-ever international regular-season game doesn't leave much time for sightseeing. Same goes for the New York Giants (3-1). Both teams are scheduled to arrive in the British capital Friday morning ahead of Sunday's game at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. Rodgers, a four-time MVP, had hoped the Packers (3-1) would arrive earlier in the week "to experience a little bit of that culture" but he knows ultimately it's a business trip - a long-awaited one at that. |

10-06-22 | Colts +3.5 v. Broncos | Top | 12-9 | Win | 100 | 10 h 23 m | Show |
Russell Wilson and Matt Ryan can sure feel each other's pain. None of the nine NFL teams that changed quarterbacks this season has a winning record heading into October. Two of them square off Thursday night when Ryan's beleaguered Indianapolis Colts (1-2-1) visit Wilson's banged-up Denver Broncos (2-2). Both QBs have found a rough transition to their new teams and both are missing key offensive and defensive players on a short week. Ryan has eight turnovers in four games, has been sacked 15 times and fumbled nine times in his first season since leaving Atlanta. Wilson is off to the slowest start of his career with just four TD passes in his first season out of Seattle. New surroundings, new teammates, new terminology are all hurdles that even former MVPs such as Ryan or Super Bowl winners such as Wilson have to overcome. |

10-03-22 | Rams v. 49ers | Top | 9-24 | Win | 100 | 30 h 36 m | Show |
The stakes will be far lower when the Los Angeles Rams visit the San Francisco 49ers for the third meeting between the teams this calendar year. The intensity is always high when these NFC West rivals meet. Ever since good friends Sean McVay and Kyle Shanahan took over as coaches in Los Angeles and San Francisco in 2017, the franchises have used each other as measuring sticks. That will be no different on Monday night when the Rams (2-1) visit the 49ers (1-2). "A lot of these games over the last couple of years have been deciding factors for playoff seeding, home-field advantage, obviously an NFC championship thrown into the mix. So they've always had a huge level of importance," Niners right tackle Mike McGlinchey said. "We know each other very well. It's been a lot of the same core guys down there, it's been a lot of the same core guys up here. So it's always a fun battle." The Rams have had better team success with four playoff berths, two Super Bowl appearances and the title last season. The Niners have had the edge in the head-to-head battle, winning the past six regular-season matchups, including a Week 18 game last January that got them into the playoffs. But the Rams got their revenge a few weeks later when they beat San Francisco 20-17 in the NFC title game on the way to their Super Bowl victory. "We could talk about all those different games, but I think at the end of the day what it boils down to is they've played well, they've made the plays in crunch time," McVay said. "I think the ultimate thing that's really important for us is each game is its own separate entity. ... But we know that this game is going to be different than the other ones. We've got to be able to show up, and play well in that three-hour window. That's what our focus and concentration will be solely focused on. No different than when we had to play them for the third time last year." JIMMY BOUNCEBACK Garoppolo's first start after Trey Lance went down with a season-ending ankle injury for San Francisco turned out to be a dud. Instead of building off a promising relief appearance in Week 2, Garoppolo looked rusty after no offseason work and showed the flaws that led the Niners to make the big move to acquire Lance last season. He missed on a few chances at big plays in the first half, then turned it over twice in the second half, as well as stepping out of the end zone for a safety in the 11-10 loss to Denver. |

10-02-22 | Jaguars +7 v. Eagles | 21-29 | Loss | -130 | 25 h 34 m | Show
Jacksonville has started the season 2-1 for the first time since 2018 and has scored 84 points over the three games. That is the third-most points scored through three games of a season in team history (98 in 1997 and 89 in 2017).

10-02-22 | Bills v. Ravens +3.5 | Top | 23-20 | Win | 100 | 25 h 43 m | Show |
The Ravens lost their first home game versus the Bills (13-10 on Halloween in 1999) but they're 5-0 against them in Baltimore since then, holding Buffalo to seven or fewer points four times, including the most recent game, a 47-3 Ravens win in the 2018 season opener.

10-02-22 | Vikings v. Saints +3.5 | 28-25 | Win | 100 | 20 h 49 m | Show
Get to London early in the week, bond as a team, then try to snap a losing streak. New Orleans Saints coach Dennis Allen has been here before, in 2014 when his then-Oakland Raiders lost 38-14 to the Miami Dolphins at Wembley Stadium. They slipped to 0-4 and it was their 10th straight loss overall. Allen was fired the next day. The Saints (1-2) arrived on Monday in the British capital and brought with them a banged-up quarterback and a two-game losing streak as they prepare to play the Minnesota Vikings (2-1) on Sunday at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in the NFL's first international game this season. |
|||||||
09-29-22 | Dolphins v. Bengals -3.5 | 15-27 | Win | 100 | 6 h 33 m | Show
The Miami Dolphins outlasted the Buffalo Bills last week to start the season 3-0 for the first time since 2018. The early going for the Cincinnati Bengals has been surprising, too, but in a different way. The defending AFC champions lost their first two games before rediscovering their 2021 chemistry and beating the New York Jets 27-12 on Sunday. The Dolphins snuck out of last week's hyped showdown with a 21-19 win over the Bills thanks to some clock mismanagement at the end. Buffalo ran out of time trailing by two points and trying to get in position for a potential game-winning field goal. |
|||||||
09-26-22 | Cowboys v. Giants | Top | 23-16 | Loss | -125 | 14 h 36 m | Show |
The Dallas Cowboys and New York Giants are going to renew their NFC East rivalry on Monday night, -and this one might be an indication of whether the times are changing. The Cowboys, the defending division champions, have owned the Giants the last five years. The teams have played 10 times and Dallas has won nine. This season has gotten off to an interesting start, though. Dallas has split two games and saw quarterback Dak Prescott undergo thumb surgery after the season opener. How long the star quarterback will be sidelined is uncertain, but Cooper Rush will be running the offense against the surprising Giants. New York, which won four games last year, is halfway to that total after knocking off Tennessee and Carolina in Brian Daboll's first two games as coach. Beating Dallas in a nationally televised game would be another step toward respectability after five straight losing seasons. |

09-25-22 | 49ers v. Broncos +2 | Top | 10-11 | Win | 100 | 10 h 36 m | Show |
The only difference the San Francisco 49ers see in longtime nemesis Russell Wilson isn't in his game but his gear. "It's so weird seeing him in a new uniform," linebacker Azeez Al-Shaair said. "But he's the same exact guy." Kyle Shanahan thinks so, too. "I see the same stuff I've seen going against him in Seattle for the last 10 years. (It's just that) they've just come up short on a couple of touchdowns there," said San Francisco's coach, who brings a 2-8 record against Wilson into Sunday night's showdown between the 49ers (1-1) and Broncos (1-1). Shanahan pointed to Wilson's 35-yard fourth-quarter dart to Courtland Sutton on third-and-16 last week as evidence the 33-year-old QB still has it. |
|||||||
09-25-22 | Jaguars +3.5 v. Chargers | Top | 38-10 | Win | 100 | 5 h 27 m | Show |
There's plenty to like about a matchup between quarterbacks Trevor Lawrence and Justin Herbert. Not only are they at the top of the list for the league's best hair, but both are the leaders of their respective franchises. The biggest question, though, going into Sunday's matchup between the Jacksonville Jaguars and Los Angeles Chargers is if they will face each other for the first time. Herbert is listed as questionable after not practicing Friday and being limited Wednesday and Thursday due to fractured rib cartilage. The injury happened after he took a hit from Kansas City's Michael Danna during the fourth quarter of last Thursday's 27-24 loss to the Chiefs. After not making any passes Wednesday, Herbert took his normal amount of throws Thursday during the individual session of practice open to reporters. If he plays, Herbert will wear a rib protector, but could also receive an injection to deal with the pain. Herbert's status will likely not be fully resolved until Sunday morning. |

09-22-22 | Steelers v. Browns -4 | Top | 17-29 | Win | 100 | 6 h 48 m | Show |
For the first time since 2004, Ben Roethlisberger isn't part of the Steelers-Browns rivalry, a matchup the Ohio-born-and-bred quarterback dominated for 18 seasons and will now watch with everyone else. On Thursday night, Mitch Trubisky makes his debut in one of the NFL's fiercest feuds. A second appearance isn't guaranteed. Struggling to connect with Pittsburgh's receivers, Trubisky, chosen as the starter in training camp over rookie quarterback-in-waiting Kenny Pickens, may look to take some deep shots downfield when the Steelers (1-1) visit a Browns team still reeling from an epic collapse in their home opener on Sunday. Trubisky is ranked 32nd in yards per attempt, one of several troubling stats for him after just two games and perhaps a reflection on the 28-year-old being more of a game manager than game changer. Still, Trubisky, who grew up in Northeast Ohio but was never particularly keen on the Browns (1-1), is confident he'll soon begin hooking up with Pittsburgh's talented, but to this point underused, receivers. |

09-18-22 | Bears +11 v. Packers | Top | 10-27 | Loss | -128 | 7 h 46 m | Show |
After spending the last three seasons looking up at the Green Bay Packers in the NFC North standings, the Chicago Bears head into Lambeau Field in an unusual position. The Bears (1-0) lead the Packers (0-1) in the division race for the first time since 2018, when Chicago last earned the NFC North title. The Packers have won the NFC North every year since and are 6-0 against the Bears during that stretch. Chicago would love to take a two-game edge over the three-time defending division champions by winning Sunday night. Even with the Bears coming off a win and the Packers coming off a loss, Green Bay is a 9 1/2-point favorite, according to FanDuel Sportsbook. |

09-18-22 | Texans +10 v. Broncos | Top | 9-16 | Win | 100 | 3 h 1 m | Show |
Texans coach Lovie Smith had some rather recent game film to review as he developed his defensive game plan for Sunday - Wilson led the Seahawks to a 33-13 win at Houston last December. "Experience of being in that situation, of seeing him on the other side, game planning for him, it doesn't matter where you are, the person doesn't change a lot," Smith said. "Maybe some of the calls have. I see a similar offensive attack when we played the Seahawks last year. Nowadays, quarterbacks have a big say in what teams do, especially guys that have been around the game for a while." Wilson didn't have much of a say in how things ended Monday night in Seattle, and he vowed to speak up next time Hackett considers taking the ball out of his hands in a game-defining moment. "(I) always trust his decisions and everything else, but I'm also always ready to go try to do it if we need to," Wilson said. Either way, the Broncos insist they've moved on. The Broncos will be without Justin Simmons for the first time since 2017 after the star safety injured a thigh in the opener. Second-year pro-Caden Sterns replaces the ironman who has started 66 consecutive games. The Texans got big contributions from two new faces in Week 1. D-lineman Jerry Hughes, who spent the last nine seasons in Buffalo, had two sacks, an interception and a forced fumble in a 20-20 tie with Indianapolis. O.J. Howard, who signed Sept. 2 after his release by the Bills, became the third tight end in NFL history to catch a pair of TD passes in his first game with his new team. |

09-15-22 | Chargers +4 v. Chiefs | Top | 24-27 | Win | 100 | 5 h 48 m | Show |
The Kansas City Chiefs have taken on an almost unbeatable air in the AFC West over the past six years, not only winning the division each time but losing just six games total against some of their longest-standing rivals. Except when it comes to the Los Angeles Chargers. They've showed no fear in splitting their past four meetings with Kansas City, including a win in Arrowhead Stadium last season. And after making a series of offseason moves - like signing Khalil Mack, who had three of their five sacks in their opener against the Raiders - designed to deal with Patrick Mahomes and rest of the Chiefs' dynamic offense, the Chargers have every reason to be confident about facing the Chiefs again on Thursday night. |
|||||||
01-23-22 | Rams v. Bucs -2.5 | Top | 30-27 | Loss | -115 | 5 h 40 m | Show |
Tampa Bay has speed at every level of the defense and Stafford will have to ensure he doesn't let his guard down as Tampa Bay's quickness can ignite turnovers in a hurry. There are still questions about the health of left tackle Andrew Withworth’s ankle, so the play-action passes will likely be a vital part of the gameplan for Stafford's passing attack. |
|||||||
10-03-21 | Ravens v. Broncos -1 | Top | 23-7 | Loss | -110 | 2 h 45 m | Show |
The Ravens offense has led the way this season but the defense has struggled, allowing 28.3 runs per game and 331.7 passing yards per game. Linebacker Patrick Queen has been the force in the middle of the defense with 23 tackles and a sack while Chuck Clark, Marlon Humphrey, and Anthony Avrett have been leading the secondary combining for eight passes defended and 49 tackles but the rest of the defense has struggled. The front of the Ravens defense is failing to pressure opposing quarterbacks aside from Odafe Oweh who has a sack and four QB hits while the secondary is still trying to replace all-pro corner Marcus Peters, who is out for the season with an injury. |
|||||||
10-03-21 | Seahawks v. 49ers -2.5 | 28-21 | Loss | -110 | 1 h 29 m | Show
On defense, the Seahawks have gone from The Legion of Boom to a backfield that gives receivers plenty of room. They have arguably the worst defense in the NFL, surrendering a league-high 440 yards per game. Most of the damage comes in the passing game, where they routinely allow nearly 300 yards per game. |
|||||||
10-03-21 | Cardinals +4 v. Rams | Top | 37-20 | Win | 100 | 2 h 35 m | Show |
This has the feel of a competitive game where the Rams win, but Arizona covers. The Cardinals have lost by double digits in seven of the last eight meetings. This game could illustrate how far they’ve come, but how they aren’t quite there yet. That seems to be what the respected bettors believe based on the line movement. |

09-26-21 | Packers v. 49ers -3 | Top | 30-28 | Loss | -112 | 7 h 51 m | Show |
Jimmy Garoppolo in his first two games has exhibited the highs that show why the 49ers held onto him to try and compete for a Super Bowl this season. He’s also had the lows that explain why they traded up to No. 3 overall in the draft to select Trey Lance. One key for Garoppolo and the 49ers’ 2-0 start is the zero turnovers from under center. Giveaways were a significant problem for Garoppolo in each of the last three years, but he’s remedied the problem early in 2021. If he’s not giving the ball away, he’s plenty efficient to operate Kyle Shanahan’s offense successfully, even if it is a version of the offense that isn’t necessarily threatening defenses vertically. |
|||||||
09-26-21 | Bucs v. Rams +1 | Top | 24-34 | Win | 100 | 3 h 16 m | Show |
The Rams made a huge improvement at quarterback this offseason, swapping out Jared Goff for Stafford in a trade with the Detroit Lions. They also have two of the NFL’s best after-the-catch receivers in Cooper Kupp and Robert Woods, which doesn’t bode well for a defense that hasn’t tackled well through the first two games of the year. Throw in the injuries that have plagued the Tampa Bay defensive backfield so far this season, and the defending champs have a huge challenge on their hands in this department. |
|||||||
09-23-21 | Panthers v. Texans +8 | Top | 24-9 | Loss | -103 | 7 h 39 m | Show |
Houston's defensive tackles have quietly been having an impressive season. Former Dallas Cowboy Maliek Collins is back to near his best, and currently ranks eighth in the NFL among defensive tackles for the highest pass-rush win rate, per ESPN. Sixth-round rookie Roy Lopez has had far more of an impact than most had expected, currently first among NFL defensive tackles in run-stop win rate. |
|||||||
09-20-21 | Lions +11.5 v. Packers | Top | 17-35 | Loss | -102 | 8 h 54 m | Show |
Green Bay's string of six straight season-opening victories ended with a thud when the Packers fell 38-3 to the New Orleans Saints at Jacksonville, Florida. The Packers now will try to win their home opener for a ninth consecutive season. Aaron Rodgers threw two interceptions without a touchdown pass in the season opener. Green Bay's 35-point defeat marked its most lopsided loss in any game Rodgers has started. After trailing by as many as 28 points, the Lions made a frantic comeback before falling 41-33 to the San Francisco 49ers in a game that marked the Detroit debuts for head coach Dan Campbell and quarterback Jared Goff. I'll take the 12 in this one. |
|||||||
09-19-21 | Vikings +4 v. Cardinals | Top | 33-34 | Win | 100 | 7 h 42 m | Show |
This is a classic week two match-up, one team looked real good, Arizona, against a team that didn't in Minnesota. I've said it 100 times, especially in week two, don't take what you just saw and apply it to this week. Expect the opposite as Minnesota comes away with the outright win. |
|||||||
09-19-21 | 49ers v. Eagles +3 | Top | 17-11 | Loss | -110 | 4 h 39 m | Show |
The Eagles’ offense is going to be able to take advantage of a 49ers defense that’s banged up. DeVonta Smith is going to feast on a gettable secondary. |
|||||||
12-07-20 | Washington Football Team +7 v. Steelers | 23-17 | Win | 100 | 12 h 5 m | Show
The Washington defense continues to be terrific. The D is second in the NFL in first downs allowed, it’s been great at keeping the big pass plays to a minimum, and the run defense hasn’t allowed more than 70 yards in either of the last two games. The two takeaways in each of the last two help, too. |
|||||||
11-26-20 | Washington Football Team +3 v. Cowboys | Top | 41-16 | Win | 100 | 7 h 53 m | Show |
While Colt McCoy taking over as Redskins QB will generate the most headlines this week, this game is likely to be won in the run game. When Washington beat Dallas last month, the Redskins held Ezekiel Elliott to just 33 yards on the ground in a stout defensive effort. |
|||||||
11-26-20 | Texans v. Lions +3 | Top | 41-25 | Loss | -100 | 3 h 6 m | Show |
It’s not like Houston’s defense is shutting anything down on a consistent basis. Part of the reason the Texan passing game is rocking is to make up for the problems on the defensive side. Houston is dead last in the NFL against the run and no one has picked off fewer passes. |
|||||||
10-04-20 | Browns +4 v. Cowboys | 49-38 | Win | 100 | 6 h 34 m | Show
Nick Chubb is the third Brown since 1960 to have consecutive games with at least 100 rushing yards and two rushing touchdowns, joining Jim Brown (1962-63 and 1965) and Leroy Kelly (1967).
Browns star running back Nick Chubb has gone over 100 yards the past two games by breaking off long gains and some tougher, "dirty" runs for minimal yardage. Already one of the NFL's best, Chubb said the chance to play against an elite back such as Dallas' Ezekiel Elliott doesn't give him any more motivation. Chubb is fourth in the NFL with 292 yards. Elliott, a two-time rushing champion, is tied for ninth at 219. "I go out there and play my game," Chubb said. |
|||||||
10-04-20 | Cardinals v. Panthers +3.5 | 21-31 | Win | 100 | 5 h 17 m | Show
Kyler Murray threw three interceptions on Sunday, tying a career high. He also ran just five times for 29 yards. Arizona is 0-8-1 when he has five or fewer rushes, and 7-3 when he has six or more.The Panthers have won four straight games against the Cardinals, including the 2015 NFC Championship Game, and a 38-20 win in Week 3 last season. Carolina is 12-5 all-time against the Cardinals (including postseason), its best record against any NFC team.Arizona lost to Detroit, 26-23, at home on Sunday, allowing a field goal as time expired. Since the start of last season, the Cardinals are now 6-2-1 when scoring more than 25 points, and 1-9 when scoring 25 or fewer. They're 1-9-1 when allowing more than 25 points in that span.
|
|||||||
10-04-20 | Seahawks v. Dolphins +5.5 | Top | 31-23 | Loss | -105 | 6 h 45 m | Show |
The Dolphins picked up their first win of 2020 with a 31-13 victory over the Jaguars last Thursday, their largest victory since 2018 (18 points). After a 0-7 start to begin 2019, Miami has gone 6-6.Miami is 8-4 all-time against Seattle, including 6-1 at homeRyan Fitzpatrick threw for two scores and ran for one in Miami's win last week while also completing a career-high 90.0 percent (18/20) of his passes (minimum five attempts). He has completed 71.1 percent of his pass attempts this season after posting a 62.0 completion percentage in his first year as a Dolphin in 2019
|
|||||||
09-28-20 | Chiefs v. Ravens -3.5 | Top | 34-20 | Loss | -100 | 16 h 55 m | Show |
Lamar Jackson is 21-3 as a starter during the regular season, with two of those losses coming against Kansas City and Mahomes in 2018 (27-24 in overtime) and 2019 (33-28). I'm more than happy to take a great team with a chip on its shoulder. |
|||||||
12-08-19 | Seahawks v. Rams +1 | Top | 12-28 | Win | 100 | 4 h 33 m | Show |
The Rams need this game way more than Seattle because if they don't win they can kiss the postseason goodbye. I think the Rams offense is on the verge of finding the same explosiveness that they showed against the Cardinals last week. Goff throws for over 350 in a win against Seattle. |
|||||||
12-02-19 | Vikings +3 v. Seahawks | Top | 30-37 | Loss | -105 | 6 h 13 m | Show |
One of Dana's rules is to forget what he just saw, meaning, their performance against the Eagles can't be viewed as anything more than a great defensive effort against a mediocre team. The Vikings Top 7 offense will push Minnesota to victory and a cover. |
|||||||
12-01-19 | Patriots v. Texans +3.5 | Top | 22-28 | Win | 100 | 6 h 49 m | Show |
This is a peculiar number to me considering the Patriots have owned the Texans since 2000, winning by an average of 14 points in 11 meetings. |
|||||||
11-18-19 | Chiefs v. Chargers +5.5 | Top | 24-17 | Loss | -110 | 5 h 10 m | Show |
KC has failed to cover 5 of their last 7 games while the Chargers are 6-2-1 after failing to cover their previous game. The Chargers defense is finally healthy. They own a pass rush that will force Mahomes, who is coming off a dislocated knee injury, to be more mobile than he did in his return. |
|||||||
11-04-19 | Cowboys v. Giants +7 | 37-18 | Loss | -110 | 13 h 5 m | Show
The Cowboys have failed to cover 10 of ther last 14 games on Monday Night. They face a GIants team who are starting to get healthy. I don't love the Cowboys pass rush, one that should give Daniel Jones the time to find his receivers. |
|||||||
11-03-19 | Packers v. Chargers +4 | 11-26 | Win | 100 | 11 h 29 m | Show
It's November which means I have some hesitation when betting the Packers who have failed to cover 18 of their last 26 November games. On the flip side, the Chargers have covered 7 of their last 8 this month. The Packers have had some big wins this season, I just wonder if they'll be focused on what should be a 'Home' game for Green Bay. |
|||||||
10-28-19 | Dolphins v. Steelers -14 | Top | 14-27 | Loss | -101 | 4 h 56 m | Show |
First, I will never have my money on the Miami Dolphins regardless of the opponent. Mason Rudolph is coming back after a concussion which will make Pittsburgh that much stronger. The Dolphins have lost 9 straight games and even though they've turned to veteran Ryan Fitzpatrick fro some stability, the Steelers are the right side here. |
|||||||
10-27-19 | Packers v. Chiefs +5.5 | Top | 31-24 | Loss | -105 | 4 h 23 m | Show |
This looks easy, Aaron Rodgers and the Packers seem to be getting stronger as the season moves on and the Chiefs are without starting QB Patrick Mahomes. This is still a strong home field advantage with a defense that doesn't give up many points. They are 9th in the league against the pass and back-up QB Matt Moore has enough experience to keep the game close. |
|||||||
10-24-19 | Redskins +17.5 v. Vikings | Top | 9-19 | Win | 100 | 5 h 20 m | Show |
A small trend is starting to form with the Redskins when on the road against teams with a winning home record. The Skins have covered 4 of their last 5 games in that situation mostly because this isn't a team that the host wants to show all their cards with a more important game on tap. 17 is too many points in this one. |
|||||||
10-21-19 | Patriots v. Jets +11.5 | Top | 33-0 | Loss | -135 | 5 h 38 m | Show |
Let's see if the return of San Darnold along with an unexpected win against the Dallas Cowboys breathe some life into the Jets. I can't believe the Pats are concerning themselves much with New York. The Patriots offense is still finding their way, I think NY stays close. |
|||||||
10-07-19 | Browns v. 49ers -4.5 | 3-31 | Win | 100 | 6 h 43 m | Show
The return of Jimmy Garoppolo and a resurgent defense have been the difference for the Niners, who come off an early bye week. After four weeks, San Francisco is third in the NFL in points (18) and total yards (283.3) allowed per game and already has matched last season's total with seven takeaways. The Niners also have nine sacks. |
|||||||
10-06-19 | Colts +12 v. Chiefs | Top | 19-13 | Win | 100 | 6 h 10 m | Show |
This looks like an easy pick but when its easy you know how that goes. In order for us to cash this wager we need the Colts OL to gain some measure of control so Marlon Mack can move the ball on the ground. If the Colts can control the clock we'll win this easy against a KC team who may be in a look ahead spot. |
|||||||
09-30-19 | Bengals +3 v. Steelers | Top | 3-27 | Loss | -100 | 15 h 37 m | Show |
It will be the first home start for Steelers quarterback Mason Rudolph, who stepped into the starting role in Week 2 when Ben Roethlisberger went down with a season-ending elbow injury. He'll have to be better than he was last week with just 14 completions in 27 attempts. The play calling has been conservative at best for Rudolph. No Antonio Brown and Roethlisberger equals a boring offensive without weapons. Take the Bengals +3. |
|||||||
09-26-19 | Eagles +4.5 v. Packers | Top | 34-27 | Win | 100 | 4 h 23 m | Show |
I can't back a team who still has OL issues. The Eagles have dropped their last 2 games games by a combined 7 points and need to win to stay within shouting distance of the Cowboys. Take the points. |
|||||||
09-23-19 | Bears v. Redskins +5.5 | Top | 31-15 | Loss | -105 | 14 h 15 m | Show |
Bears’ third-year quarterback Mitchell Trubisky appears to be struggling, having posted an unimpressive 16-of-27 for 120 yards with no touchdowns or interceptions in Week 2. Washington has won 7 straight times against the Bears, make it 8. |

09-06-18 | Falcons v. Eagles -4 | Top | 12-18 | Win | 100 | 811 h 45 m | Show |
I don't normally put games out this early but I'm seeing a trend in the Atlanta Falcons/Philadelphia Eagles number that I think my followers need to jump on now especially if you can get -103. The public has jumped all over the Atlanta Falcons pushing the number from +5.5 down to +3.5 in one spot offshore. The reasoning is easy to understand, first, its a revenge spot after losing to the Eagles, 15-10, last seasons divisional playoffs. Atlanta led at the half and trailed by just two after three quarters. Many will recall that the Falcons had four shots from the Eagles 9-yard line late in the fourth quarter that could have sent the Falcons to the NFC Championship game but the Eagles defense held. So I get the public's eagerness to grab the opening number. After all, the Falcons were so close. Typical handicapping mistake. The line movement is clearly based on revenge and the uncertainty of who will make the start for the Eagles under center. Carson Wentz hasn't practiced in 5 days (8/3) which has the squares jumping on the plus number. The Eagles say its just part of the plan. One key nuance that bettors fail to do on a regular basis is to not overreact to the sound of trouble with key players. Mark my words, aside from a major camp setback, Wentz will start the opener. He still may not be 100% but he'll still be able to find success in the pocket. Even if he doesn't answer the bell for the NBC opener I'm pretty confident that Nick Foles can be fairly efficient. Yes, that's sarcasm. Don't be scared off by a little adversity. The Falcons have very rarely been the right side in this series dropping 11 of their last 16 games ATS with a push and now they'll try to win a prime time match-up in Philadelphia after raising their Super Bowl banner. Doesn't seem like a likely scenario to me. Get the Eagles right now before the number creeps back up. |
