North Carolina at Florida State 7:00 ET

Seminoles (+) over Tar Heels - For the number to come out like this snaps my head back as North Carolina has finally put it together winning their last three against Syracuse, NC State and Virginia. That’s all well and good but not of those team are NCAA bound. The Tar Heels have won five straight against the Seminoles but are 2-7-1 ATS on the road while the tribesmen are 9-5 ATS at home. Take FLORIDA STATE!

Memphis at Cleveland 7:00 ET

Grizzlies (+) over Cavaliers- This is the first meeting of the season between these two high scoring clubs and they met twice last year with Cleveland sweeping the series. Memphis has split their two games since the break while the Cavaliers have won both of their encounters and six straight overall. The Cavs are off of a 37-point win over New York and they should return to earth for this one as center Jarrett Allen will be sidelined. Take MEMPHIS!.

Miami at Milwaukee 6:00 ET

Heat (+) over Bucks - Go figure this Bucks team out…go ahead! They enter this fray on a three game win streak and are 2-0 since the break. They have also defeated Miami four of the last five meetings while the Heat finally won a game against Toronto after having traded Jimmy Butler. But, in the long run Miami will make their adjustment with one of the better NBA coaches leading the way. Take MIAMI!

USC at Rutgers 6:00 ET

Trojans (+) over Scarlet Knights - Straight up no kidding I have to like the Trojans here with the better record and up against the most over-rated team in college basketball. Rutgers is supposed to have a pair of first round pros picks in Ace Bailey and Dylan Harper and yet they are 15th in the final spot for the Big Ten tourney tied with Minnesota and Iowa. The Trojans enter off of a pair of losses and four of the past five while Rutgers broke a 3-game losing streak with a win at Washington but have dropped six of nine. Take USC!

Ohio State at UCLA 3:45 ET

Buckeyes (+) over Bruins - UCLA had won eight of nine before falling at home to Minnesota as a double-digit favorite (-11) 64-61. Ohio State just lost a pair of home games to Michigan and Northwestern but in the sparse meetings between these two ‘conference rivals’ Ohio State has won the last three games over the past six seasons. Both clubs feel that this is a ‘must’ win game to have a chance at an invite to the Big Dance with selection day seven days away.  Take OHIO STATE!

Purdue at Indiana 1:30 ET

Hoosiers (+) over Boilermakers - It hasn’t been the best of season’s for Indiana who enter this battle off of a home loss to UCLA and have dropped six of seven and eight of 10 going 2-8 ATS. Purdue enter this fray on a 3-game bummer after a 4-game win streak but have won the past three meetings including an 81-76 win four weeks ago at Purdue. Hoosiers have had nine days rest to regroup and the will. Take INDIANA!

New York at Boston 1:00 ET

Knicks (+) over Celtics - Many feel that Boston is the only team in the East standing in front of New York when it come to getting into the NBA Finals and the are right. The Celtics have beaten the Knicks like a red headed step child winning both contests this season ad 6-of-7 meetings. New York enters off of a 37-point beat down handed to them by the Cavaliers as they are 0-6 against the three top clubs. This time they get it done. Take NEW YORK!

Missouri at Arkansas 8:00 ET

Razorbacks (+) over Tigers - Missouri was one of our current string of Megabucks winner as the ran Alabama out of the arena 110-98 on Wednesday. That win has made No. 15 Missouri the talk of the town and I am hearing now that they are on their way to the Final-4. Knee jerk reactions are not the way to go and the book-maker always has made the adjustment before you have even seen the line. The Tigers were 0-18 in SEC play last season. Arkansas is on the bubble so to speak and have dropped two in-a-row but do have wins over Texas, Kentucky but dropped their meeting at Mizzou 83-65. Not, this time…take ARKANSAS!  

Brooklyn at Philadelphia 7:30 ET

76ers (-) over Nets - I find one thing that seems a bit off in this match up of a pair of clubs with identical records. Both Brooklyn and Philadelphia are 20-35 straight up and I don’t believe that anyone thought that the Nets and 76ers would have the same record after the All-star farce. Their road and home records are also very similar as the Nets are 11-17 on the road while the Sixers are 10-17 at home. With their records almost exactly the same the bookies make this point spread extremely high, therefore the odds makers favor the 76ers and so do I. Take PHILADELPHIA!

Kentucky at Alabama 6:00 ET

Crimson Tide (-) over Wildcats - After having posted consecutive Megabucks winners in back-to-back games against Alabama using Auburn and then Missouri I am excited to now take the Tide against the Wildcats. Although Kentucky has revenge on their minds after losing to the Crimson 102-97 as a 2.5-point favorite. Now, the number is out of hand but I will lay it and pray that ‘we’ don’t give up a lead late. Cats just 2-5 SU on the road while Auburn handed ‘Bama just their 2nd home defeat in 112 games. Take ALABAMA!

Mississippi at Vanderbilt 3:30 ET

Rebels over Commodores - It can as a surprise to me when I learned that Mississippi coached by Chris Beard (google him) leads the nation in fewest turnovers committed per game with just 8.8. Vanderbilt may have already had their season’s high point when the beat Kentucky since they have lost five of six including their last three. Take MISSISSIPPI!

Iowa State at Houston 2:00 ET

Cougars (-) over Cyclones -  I have been singing the praises of not only Houston this season but Iowa State as well. Teams that start with defense first will always have a chance. Now, Iowa State has fallen off a bit of late and Houston is the Nation’s leader I total defense allowing just 57.5 points per game. The Cougars are 13-1 at home and enter with five straight wins and the Cyclones have won four straight. I have great respect for State’s coach  TJ Otzelberger but the odds makers don’t seem to like their chances. Take HOUSTON!!

Minnesota at Houston 8:00 ET

Timberwolves (+) over Rockets - One of the season’s mysteries has been trying to figure this Minnesota team out. Inconsistent is the work for Minnesota who can beat the best and fail against the league’s worst. For some unexplained reason the T’wolves have had their way against Houston winning the last two meetings and eight of the past 10 encounters. Anthony Edwards skipped the All-star game but he will shine here tonight. Take MINNESOTA!

New Orleans at Dallas 8:00 ET

Pelicans (+) over Mavericks - Two clubs that have been battling injuries the entire season. Dallas was without five players in the final game before the break and managed to defeat Miami 118-113 and three of those five remain sidelined. The Pelicans had dropped 10 straight prior to their final game before the break when the came from behind to defeat Sacramento 140-133 in overtime. Take NEW ORLEANS!

Memphis at Orlando 7:00 ET

Magic (+) over Grizzlies - Memphis allowed Indiana (Megabucks winner) to score 50 points in the second quarter of their first game back from the all-star break. A game in which Ja Morant was not invited to attend. Meanwhile, Orlando was a Money Game winner over Atlanta as they return to health as has the Grizzlies. But it is the squad from the swamps of Florida that has its mojo in order. Take ORLANDO!

Marquette at Villanova 7:00 ET

Wildcats (+) over Golden Eagles - Marquette had dropped three straight against UConn, St. John’s and Creighton a trio of the Big East top clubs and now has won their last two games against the Conference bottom feeders Seton Hall and DePaul. Coming off a pair of wins against weak teams does not put the Golden Eagles in a good spot. The Wildcats have lost eight straight to Marquette but have shown that they are capable with a win over St. John’s who lost t the Eagles. Take VILLANOVA

USC at Maryland 8:30 ET

Trojans (+) over Terrapins - Neither of these schools belong in the Big Ten (18) Maryland was a long time ACC champion and the Trojans are now a part of the NCAA conference farce coming of course to the Big Ten. So, USC is playing a conference game in Maryland where the East coast Navel ports are located. I am just thinking ‘how long will these conferences last.’ Rivalries will become  a thing of the past and I just can not see this match up developing into one. Take SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA!

LA Clippers at Milwaukee 8:00 ET

Clippers (-) over Bucks- Milwaukee had won four straight meetings before they met this season 25 days ago in Los Angeles as the Clippers broke through with a 127-117 win as a 3-5 point favorite. Once again they are favored bu three but this time on the rod. That is telling…take LA CLIPPERS!

Memphis at Indiana 7:00 ET

Pacers (+) over Grizzlies - Indiana has not played in eight days and in their final contest before the break the overcame a 19-point deficit and defeated the NBA’s worst team Washington in overtime 134-130. Memphis defeated the Pacers in December and that was their seventh win in the past eight meetings. Grizzlies star Ja Morant missed the game on the 12th and most likely will be sidelined. Take INDIANA!

Vanderbilt at Kentucky 7:00 ET

Commodores (+) over Wildcats - The surprise here is not that Vanderbilt won the first meeting 74-69 between the two three weeks ago in Nashville, the shock is that these two school have the same record at 17-8 this point of the season and they have also won 3-of-5 meetings. Both clubs are coming off of terrible losses where the Wildcats were outscored by Texas 14-1 to close the loss and Vanderbilt blew a 44-31 lead to Tennessee. The Wildcats are having guard play issues and it is getting late in the season for that. Take VANDERBILT!

SMU at Notre Dame 7:00 ET

Fighting Irish (+) over Mustangs - In baseball announcer Bob prince an old time Pirates voice use to pray during a game for a bloop and a blast…that is what Notre Dame will need in order to beat SMU. After their second straight home loss dropping them to 8-4 at home.  home loss. SNU has had their confidence shaken after winning five-in-a-row before they fell at home 77-66 to Wake Forest. Fighting Irish coach Micah Strewsberry knows he is fighting for his job as it is on the line as the Irish head toward their third straight losing season. Big effort by the home team. Take NOTRE DAME!

Kansas at BYU 9:00 ET

Jayhawks (+) over Cougars - These year two of college basketball’s premiere programs North Carolina and Kansas have slipped a bit as the Jayhawks have dropped 4-of-7 and have lost eight games already headed toward double-digits losses. They are 1-6 ATS in their past seven and 2-8 ATS in the last 10 games. BYU has won their last two and 6-of-8 while going 5-2-1 ATS in the last eight games. The Cougars have surprised the Big-12 now in basketball as well as football and are off of a win over Kansas State 80-65 on Saturday. Look for the Jayhawks to rebound here (literally) and get the win. Take KANSAS!

Illinois at Wisconsin 8:30 ET

Illini (+) over Badgers - This series has been one-sided for about a decade as Illinois has won nine straight against Wisconsin including a 86-60 pounding back in early December. Most of the time when a club has been routed in the first meeting between a pair of conference rivals I move toward the defeated team in the rematch. But, with the history between these two, I’ll side with the Illini. The Badgers took down Purdue on Saturday while Illinois lost to Michigan State 79-65 being out scored 15-0 down the stretch while blowing a 16-point first half lead. Look for more of the same between these two. Take ILLINOIS!

Purdue at Michigan State 7:00 ET

Boilermakers (+) over Spartans - Their last time out Michigan State was getting routed by Illinois in the first half trailing by up to 17 points but rallied and scored the game final 15 points as Illinois went scoreless the final 8:15 of the game. Purdue one of the early season Big Ten favorites has dropped their last two after winning 11 of their previous 12 games. The Boilermakers have won the last five meetings and nine of the past 10 encounters. Take PURDUE!

Kansas State at Utah 9:00 ET

Utes over Wildcats - I am calling this a bang-bang defeat for the Wildcats. Kansas State had their six game winning streak end at Brigham Young on Saturday and should be slightly disheartened a bit while remaining on the road. Utah is off of an upset over Kansas adding confidence to a club that has underachieved this season. But the emergence of Gabe Madsen has been a key. Look for another great home effort where the are 13-3 SU. Take UTAH!

Duke at Virginia 8:00 ET

Cavaliers (+) over Blue Devils - Don’t get the Blue Devils anger… after losing st Clemson they rebounded with a pair of wins at California and Stanford by a total of 57 points. Virginia who is having their worse season in decades defeated rival Virginia Tech at their place who started 1-6 in ACC play and have climb back to 6-8 and 12-13 overall. The Cavaliers have two of the Past three meetings in Charlottesville while Duke pounded the Cavs 73-48 in their win late March. Take VIRGINIA!

Rutgers at Oregon 7:00 ET

Scarlet Knights (+) over Ducks - I still find it difficult to accept that a team from New Jersey is playing a ‘conference’ game in Oregon. The Big Ten has gone bi-coastal as Rutgers makes the trip to the west coast and they have been struggling of late losing their last two and 3-of-4. Oregon has also had a struggle this season losing six of seven and have lost four conference games at home. The Scarlet Knights have a pair of pro already in their starting five with Ace Bailey and Dylan Harper who are looking to follow in their fathers footsteps. Take RUTGERS!

Kansas State at BYU 9:00 ET

Cougars (-) over Wildcats - Kansas State has won six straight games and is 9-1 ATS in their past 10 games while BYU is off of a win at West Virginia but lost their previous two to Cincinnati and Arizona. although just 13-11 on the year the Wildcats have defeated five ranked teams playing in the Big-12. Just like in football the  Cougars are underrated not only by the media but by the odds makers and public as well. They show up tonight. Take BRIGHAM YOUNG

Kentucky at Texas 8:00 ET

Longhorns over Wildcats -  I have to rule this my ‘Money Game’ believe I truly believe  that if ‘we’ win this particular game that it will be a very good day, I see this as a key release. You know that graft and corruption filters its way into all aspects of life including sports and I am wondering how a 10 loss team like Texas that has dropped three in-a-row gets to be ranked No. 19 in the country (are you kidding me). Well, maybe it is the level of competition they play in the SEC. The Wildcats on a 2-game mini streak are just 2-4 SU in true road games. This line is a come-get-me…take TEXAS!

Mississippi State at Mississippi 6:00 ET

Bulldogs (+) over Rebels - These two met four weeks ago in Starkville, and the Bulldogs held serve in overtime winning 84-81 as a beaten favorite and that was their fifth win in the last six meetings with Ole Miss. The Rebels enter on a three game win streak including a pair of road wins against weak sisters LSU and South Carolina. State meanwhile has dropped 3-of-4 and a win here would even their SEC record at 6-6. Take MISSISSIPPI STATE!  

Auburn at Alabama  4:00 ET

Tigers (+) over Crimson Tide - Big games between these two schools is nothing new to them as they battle it out every fall in the Iron Bowl and now their basketball teams take center stage in the shootout between No. 1 Auburn and No. 2 Alabama. This will be the first No. 1 against No. 2 matchup in three years as both squads at 10-1 in SEC play while Alabama leads the nation in scoring putting up 90.5 points per game. The Tigers aren’t far behind ranking No. 8 averaging 84.8 and the actually advantage may come down to coaching and there is a Pearl out there and he gets the nod. Take AUBURN!   

Missouri at Georgia 3:30 ET

Bulldogs (+) over Tigers - Missouri is ranked No. 19 and I believe that most people think they are better than that which in my mind makes them over-rated. I continue to her hype and praise about the Tigers and oh yes they are very good but still a bit overrated. Georgia on the other hand has lost even of their last nine games but won the past two meetings sweeping the Tigers 2-0 last season. Mizzou is just 2-4 SU in true road games while Bulldogs bite at home and are 13-2 SU. Take GEORGIA!  

Ucla at Indiana 8:00 ET

Hoosiers (+) over Bruins - These two former basketball powers have played each other 12 times splitting 6-6 and have 16 national titles between them. UCLA just had their seven game win streak end at Illinois on the heels of a six game losing streak. Indiana just broke their own losing streak of five games with a win over Michigan State. The Bruins are 3-4 in true road games while the Hoosiers are 11-3 at home. Defense has been the Bruins strongest point holding opponents under 71 points going 15-1 in those contests. But, at home it is…INDIANA!

Maryland at Nebraska 8:30 ET

Terrapins (+) over Cornhuskers - These two met four weeks ago in Maryland and the Terrains won that meeting in a close one 69-66 as a 9.5-point favorite. The Terrapins have won the past two meetings and seven of the last eight and as what has been a basketball school they should be able to get in done against a school that primarily thinks of oblong shaped balls. Nebraska has won four straight after a six game slide and have only three starters averaging double figures. Take MARYLAND!

Memphis at LA Clippers 10:30 ET

Clippers (-) over Grizzlies - The LA Clippers have won four straight games against Memphis including an outright win in December their only meeting thus far this season. The Grizzlies have won 11 of the last 13 and prepare for the Clippers and Kawhi Leonard who is healthy enough to play in only his 15th game of the season. With the recent play of James Harden the Clippers can get the win and cover. Take LA CLIPPERS!

Sacramento at New Orleans 8:00 ET

Pelicans (+) over Kings - What a season New Orleans has had with injuries and roster changes that just have not produced they way the Pelicans had hoped. These two met four days ago in Sacramento where the Kings posted a non-cover victory 123-118 as an 8-point favorite and handed the Pelicans their ninth straight loss. But, the Kings have one of the worst ATS records in the NBA are 2-8 ATS in their past 10 games and have covered just 18 of 53 outings. Take NEW ORLEANS!

Atlanta at New York 7:30 ET

Knicks (-) over Hawks - The Atlanta Hawks are one of the few teams that come into Madison Square Garden and give the Knicks fits. For the most part is because Trae Young seems to thrive in New York taunting the crowd while playing the game. The Hawks have won three straight games and are 6-0 ATS in their last six games overall and 8-1 ATS in their last nine games. The Knicks did manage to win and cover at home against the Hawks their first home win and cover in over three years. They win once again…take NEW YORK!

St. John’s at Villanova 6:30 ET

Wildcats (+) over Red Storm - St. John’s under Rick Pitino is having their best season (21-3)  since the days of Chris Mullen in the late 70’s while the Wildcats are still trying to return to the status they had under Jay Wright. The Red Storm have won the past three meetings but before Pitino entered the scene the Wildcats has won the previous six meetings. Villanova has won their last two games and five of six and have the Storm in their sites. Take VILLANOVA!

Memphis at Phoenix 10:00 ET

Suns (+) over Grizzlies - Has there been anyone more disappointing this NBA season considering expectations then the Phoenix Suns! Memphis with or without Ja Morant in the lineup have out done expectations and had won 10 of 11 games before falling to Oklahoma City Saturday night. Kevin Durant has been part of the problem, and no his play, but when he’s not playing. Without Durant the Suns are 2-11 this season. He’s playing tonight. Take PHOENIX

Alabama at Texas 9:00 ET

Longhorns (+) over Crimson Tide - Image after all these years of have Alabama ranked the No. 1 football team in the nation but now they moving to the top of the college basketball polls and deservedly so. The Crimson Tide have won six straight and 14 of their last 15 while Texas has been headed in the opposite direction. The Longhorns started 11-2 but have now dropped three of four but will be playing a tough brand of defense st home tonight. Take TEXAS!

Detroit at Chicago 8:00 ET

Bulls (+) over Pistons - Detroit has certainly been the better storyline coming from their franchise low in wins last year which they have already surpassed in this season. Chicago holding ninth in the playoff race has lost 11 of 15 but have defeated the Pistons in seven of the last 10 meetings. Taake CHICAGO!

Florida at Mississippi State 7:00 ET

Bulldogs (+) over Gators - Florida has had some very impressive wins and one of them happened Saturday when they defeated No. 1 Auburn and the other was beating Tennessee by 30 points the first week of January. MSU rebounded with a win over Georgia after tough losses to Missouri and Alabama and have won four of the last seven meetings. Bulldogs will have a tough task on defense but they are up to it. Take MISSISSIPPI STATE!

Tennessee at Kentucky 7:00 ET

Wildcats (+) over Volunteers - This is the second meeting of the season between these two with Kentucky pulling the upset win in Knoxville two weeks ago. Most of the time I would be looking for the Tennessee to return the favor and take down the Wildcats on their home floor, but not this time around. The Wildcats dropped the following two games after their win against the Vols but righted themselves with a romp over South Carolina. Tennessee responded with three straight after their loss to the Cats and will get upset again…Take KENTUCKY!

Sacramento at Dallas 8:30 ET

Kings (+) over Mavericks - Dallas was involved in one of the biggest blockbuster trade in NBA history and many think that the Mavericks got the worst of the deal sending Luka Doncic to the Lakers for Anthony Davis. With Doncic being 25 years old and Davis the Mav’s were think of the immediate effect as opposed to the long run. Davis’ debut was spectacular Saturday night scoring 26 points grabbing 13 rebounds with 5 assists and 3 blocked shot. But, unfortunately for them Davis had to be removed for the contest because of and injury and will be missing for up to a month. Take SACRAMENTO!

Atlanta at Orlando 7:00 ET

Magic (-) over Hawks - This is the first meeting of the season between these two midland clubs with Atlanta taking  3-of-4 meetings last season and are 7-2 over the Magic in the past nine encounters. Returning from a road trip where they went 1-5 Orlando posted a 112-111 win over San Antonio when they returned home Saturday night. Atlanta was active during the trade deadline acquiring four new player and it will take time for them to mesh together. Take ORLANDO!

North Carolina at Clemson 7:00 ET

Tar Heels (+) over Tigers - This is the first meeting of the season between these two with Clemson having won the last meeting a year ago February. North Carolina has struggled (for them) this season and already has 10 losses five of which have come in the ACC. The Tar Heels posted a narrow 67-66 win over Pittsburgh Saturday and will be ready for a squad that has already beaten Kentucky and Duke as hosts. This one should go down to the final buzzer. take NORTH CAROLINA!

Philadelphia at Milwaukee 2:10 ET

76ers (+) over Bucks - Believe it or not I think that the 76ers are going to make the playoffs. Embiid has taken virtually the entire first half off and their other oft-injured teammates are coming together for a second half push which needs to start soon. Sunday’s match up might be one that they might not rather have but you have to play the big boys at one time or another, the dilemma for Philadelphia is that the Bucks have beaten them six straight times and eight of the past 10 meetings The last Sixers win over Milwaukee came in March of 2023 in the Brew City. The Bucks have won just two of their past eight games and have had to deal with Giannis not always being available. The price is way too cheap for a home team (16-8) up against a club that is 11 games under .500.  Take PHILADELPHIA!

Texas Tech at Arizona 10:30 ET

Red Raiders (+) over Wildcats - These two met less then a month ago in Lubbock and the Red Raiders won 70-54 as a 4.5 point favorite. Arizona has won their last five games and nine of 10 after slow start to the season with that lone loss to Texas Tech. The Wildcats are 8-2 ATS in those 10 games while that is being matched by the Raiders have won seven straight and 9-of-10. Raiders are 5-0 in true road games. Take TEXAS TECH!  

Denver at Phoenix 9:00 ET

Suns (+) over Nuggets- We are hearing some bad things coming out of Phoenix as the struggling Suns and most of it is locker room stuff which coach Mike Budenholzer denies. Denver is streaking and have won their last five games and 13 of 17. But, the Suns will have a chip on their shoulder and will be without Kevin Durant (which many say is the problem) but the Nuggets will be without Russell Westbrook, Jamal Murray, Michael Porter and Aaron Gordon is questionable. Take PHOENIX!

Alabama at Arkansas 8:30 ET

Razorbacks (+) over  Crimson Tide - It is wonderful to see the series results between schools and how they may differ from one sport or another. Alabama has won the last four meetings but the series is even at 5-5 but Arkansas is 8-2 ATS. Last Saturday the Razorbacks were one of our Saturday winners over Kentucky and after starting 0-5ij SEC play they have now won 3-of-4 conference match ups. The Tide have had a week of rest and that doesn’t always help. Take ARKANSAS!  

Oklahoma City at Memphis 6:00 ET

Grizzlies (+) over Thunder - Oklahoma City is out to prove that last year’s best of the west record was no fluke. This season they are once again leading the NBA winning 41 of 50 while only Cleveland has more wins (42) they also have one more loss so the Thunder have the highest winning percentage in the league. The Grizzlies have had a patch work season with injuries playing a large part and yet they are 34-17 ATS the best in the NBA. Take MEMPHIS!

Indiana at LA Lakers 4:00 ET

Pacers (+) over Lakers - Los Angeles is still waiting for the Lakers debut of Super star Luka Doncic as everyone anticipates the pairing of Doncic and James. Indiana has won five of six and will up against a rejuvenated LeBron James had a triple-double in New York scored 40 points not too bad for a 40-year old. Pacers playing well enough to pull off the upset here. Take INDIANA!

Texas A&M at Missouri 3:30 ET

Aggies (+) over Tigers - While Texas A&M has owned this series winning the last four meetings and eight of the past 10 this will be the first meeting since last February. Missouri is off of a heartbreaking loss at Tennessee where they blew a double-digit lead but did manage to get the cover. the Tigers are 15-0 at home while Texas A&M is 3-3 with the losses at Oklahoma and Texas and a win at Mississippi. take TEXAS A&M!  

St. John’s at Connecticut 8:00 ET

Red Storm (+) over Huskies - Can this be right…St. John’s is ranked higher (#12) than two-time defending champion Connecticut (#19). Yes, it is true, as true as Rich Pitino throwing a temper tantrum when the Red Storm were left out of the Big Dance, which the Huskies sailed through for the second year in a row. The point here is that Pitino feels that a win here and the election committee could not leave them out no matter what happens the rest of the way out.Although, UConn has been without their big man this season and they have suffered  dropping to No. 119 in defensive efficiency. Johnnies at 20-3 are the best since the Chris Mullin and Lou Carnesecca days as the Storm ranked fourth in the nation in defensive efficiency. Huskies are 7-3 SU in the past 10 meetings but the Redmen (there I did it) are 73 ATS. Take ST. JOHN’S!  

Philadelphia at Detroit 7:30 ET

76ers (-) over Pistons - Philadelphia has been just a shell of what they could be because of injuries to each of their big three as Embiid, George and Maxey have played together just 10 time out of 50 games this season. Well, they all appear healthy and will play and they are 7-3 when the trio play together. This will be Joel Embiid’s 15th game this season and the upstart Pistons have struggled against the Sixers winning just once in the past 20 meetings. Detroit has dropped their last two games and five of seven. Take PHILADELPHIA!

Sacramento at Portland 10:00 ET

Kings (+) over Trailblazers - The Trailblazers have won 9-of-10 and are beginning to receive respect from the media and the rest of the league that any team should. Now, 22-29 on the season they are a very profitable 30-20-1 ATS and the bookmakers have moved the market to the point that they are now favored.The Kings got off to a quick start under new coach Doug Christie but have now dropped five of their last seven including a 130-111 home loss to Orlando. look for the Kings to give a solid effort and get the cash. Take SACRAMENTO!

Nebraska at Washington 10:30 ET

Huskies (+) over Cornhuskers - This would make a great match-up on the gridiron and even now on the hardwood it brings a more competitive squad then previous versions. Nebraska had lost six straight and five of those defeats were against ranked teams before their most current two game streak. Coming off of a win at Oregon the Huskies ended a six game losing streak of their own defeating Minnesota and will surprise the Cornhuskers. Take WASHINGTON!

Orlando at Sacramento 10:00 ET

Kings (+) over Magic - This is the first meeting of the season between these two and until down the Kings have had their way against Orlando winning the last six encounters. Sacramento has won 12 of 18 games since Doug Christie replaced replacing Mike Brown. The Kings just acquired All-star Zach LaVine from the Bulls in exchange for All-star De’Aaron Fox was sent to San Antonio. The Magic need to pull off some tricks as they have lost their last four and 9-of-10 with their lone win and cover against the Pistons 11 days ago. Kings adjustment to LaVine will take time to mesh as their karma has been rocked. Take ORLANDO!

Illinois at Rutgers 8:30 ET

Illini (-) over Scarlet Knights - Both of these squads have been so disappointing to date as much more was expected of them. So who put these expectations on them..the media, the people that think they know it all and understand nothing of what makes a winner. It is so much more than scoring points, it is having the grit to fight through the rougher time. Rutgers has possibility two of the top-5 NBA draft picks on their roster and can’t seem to put it together. The Illini have had visions of greatness but have to play both ends of the floor for the full 40 minutes. Tonight they do…take ILLINOIS!

Cleveland at Detroit 7:00 ET

Pistons (+) over Cavaliers- Detroit has been bad for so long we can’t keep track of the number of losses they have suffered by Cleveland. Actually, the streak is at 11 straight for the Cavaliers over the Pistons which includes two wins this season. But, this is a different Pistons’ club as they are 25-25 on the season after setting a franchise low in wins last season with 12. The Cavaliers are looking toward the All-star break and getting some rest for their weary legs. Take DETROIT!

Missouri at Tennessee 7:00 ET

Volunteers (-) over Tigers - Missouri was a huge winner for us on Saturday going into Starkville and defeated Mississippi State 88-61 outright as they have now won six of seven games. On that same day Tennessee crushed a Florida team 64-44 that had destroyed the Volunteers 73-43 in early January. The price of this game is way too high and inviting to take the Tigers. Do not be sucked in…take TENNESSEE!

Indiana at Portland 10:00 ET

Pacers (-) over Trailblazers- Indiana is starting to show what we saw at the end of last season as they have won four in-a row and six of seven entering this fray. Portland has also won four in-a-row and eight of nine as well raising a few eyebrows within the NBA. This game has a bit of a quirk as the Pacers have won a franchise record seven straight road games and yet they have lost 14 of 15 in Portland with their lone win coming when there were no fans allowed to see the games because of lock down bullshit. They earn this one…take INDIANA!

Michigan State at UCLA 10:00 ET

Spartans (+) over Bruins - Michigan State had gone December and January without a loss and then last Saturday USC took it to them from start to finish. After 13 straight wins coach Tom Izzo says he’s not sure how his club will respond. Well, I have an opinion on that…Tom Izzo teams always respond. UCLA has been good to ‘us’ and they are 11-1 at home. But, know what that one loss was a win for us when the hosted Michigan. Take MICHIGAN STATE!

USC at Northwestern 9:00 ET

Wildcats over Trojans - having used USC as our Money game winner an losing with Northwestern as our Megabucks play of Saturday I believe this match-up sets up perfect for a Wildcat’s victory. The Trojans are gleeful over beating the No. 7 team in the nation while The Purple cats have lost three straight two of which were ranked clubs. Cats will rebound here for the win. Take NORTHWESTERN!

Baylor at Texas Tech 9:00 ET

Red Raiders (-) over Bears - After coming off of a huge win like Texas Texas pulled off in overtime against Houston last time out I would normally look to play against the Red Raiders. But, Baylor is also coming off of a n upset win defeating Kansas after trailing  by 21-points and ended up winning by 11 as the Jayhawks fell apart. But the Bears are impostors and will fall short here. Take TEXAS TECH!

Boston at Cleveland 7:30 ET

Cavaliers over Celtics - It may seem that Boston has hit a rough spot in their schedule and that is due to their poor ATS record of 19-30 as they continue going 3-6 ATS in their last nine. Cleveland has also shown signs of slowing the pace as they dropped three straight for the first time this season. The Celtics handed the Cavaliers their first lost of the year after a 17-0 start and the Cav’s got it back at home 10 days later. This time it’s the Celtics turn…take BOSTON!

Dallas at Philadelphia 7:00 ET

Mavericks over 76ers - Well, from what I am hearing the Mavericks just made the worst trade in NBA history…we shall see. But, for right now newly acquired Anthony Davis will be playing while Luca Doncic will not. Every Dallas player has had to endure a media onslaught that now gives them no chance, this is a team that made it to the NBA Finals last season, be it with Doncic but there is still huge talent around to create problems. The Mav’s have dropped 13 of 19 but have had their wake up call off of a 144-101 beat down by Cleveland. Philadelphia has  been making a playoff run believe it or not and they are without Embiid and George but just blew a 26-point late third quarter lead to Boston and lost 118-110. The Sixers are a bit disheartened they get out played here. Take DALLAS!

Kentucky at Mississippi 7:00 ET

Rebels (+) over Wildcats - This has been a one-sided series with the basketball pedigree of Kentucky dominating the Rebels winning nine of the last 10 meetings although Mississippi  have played the wildcats to a point spread standstill at 5-5. Ole Miss has lost four of five including a loss last time out to No. 1 Auburn a game in which was tied with three minutes to play and lost 92-82. But, the Rebels are capable with wins over Texas and at Alabama. Take MISSISSIPPI!

Sacramento at Minnesota 8:00 ET

Kings (+) over Timber Wolves - Sacramento is on the final leg of a six game road trip having lost four of five and their last time out Oklahoma City routed the Kings 144-110. Minnesota was defeated by Washington who ended a 16 game losing streak with the win as the Timberwolves were and are going to be playing short handed as both Anthony Edwards and Julius Randle are dealing with injuries and so is shooting guard Donte DiVincenzo. Too much firepower is sidelined for the Wolves. Take SACRAMENTO!

Atlanta at Detroit 7:00 ET

Hawks (+) over Pistons - It’s a brave new world for the Pistons this season as the NBA’s worst in 2024 has worked their way over the breakwater mark and have a winning record this season. Atlanta is on an eight game bummer and part of the problem is the loss of one of their best players in Jalen Johnson who is out for the remainder of the season. The Hawks Trae Young was kept off of the All-star team despite of posting some of his best career numbers. Detroit has already won the two meetings this season and the Hawks had won the previous seven and now it is now the Hawks that will suck it up. Take ATLANTA!

LA Clippers at Toronto 3:30 ET

Raptors (+) over Clippers- The Clippers come into Toronto having won their last two road games and four of five and will bring two former raptors stars from their lone championship season 2019. Kawhi Leonard and Norman Powell were key contributors with Leonard leaving for Los Angeles after one season. The Clippers won the only meeting this season at home in early November winning 105-103 as a 6-point favorite. Meanwhile, (sort of Rocky & Bullwinkle-ish) ‘Hokey Smoke’ Toronto just has just had a five game winning streak, their longest of the season, end in the ‘Great White North’ at the hands of Chicago 122-106 Friday night. The Raptors had won 7-of-8 before getting gored by the Bulls but are on the upswing as players are maturing on the floor while others are returning to action after stints on the injured list. Take TORONTO!

Ohio State at Illinois 1:00 ET

Illini (-) over Buckeyes - There have times this season (not all that often) that Illinois can look like a true contender but for the most part the have been very inconsistent and not overly impressive. Ohio State of course rears it’s head every once in a while and disrupts the conventional way of thinking. The Buckeyes have won three straight including wins over Iowa, Penn State and Purdue. Illinois has dropped  3-of-4 due more or less to the absence of center Ivisic who has missed the past three games. Illini to make changes and they help here. Take ILLINOIS!

Phoenix at Portland 10:00 ET

Trailblazers (+) over Suns - Portland who has received little respect from any NBA expects this season have won six of seven and covered all seven with the loss to Oklahoma City. Phoenix has been a disappointment to their backers to date covering just 17 of 47 games but have won 4-of-5 including a 130-105 blowout of Golden State Friday. The Suns, Durant, Booker and Beal put together 72 points and 21 assists between them a rare happening this season. Although Phoenix has won the past four meetings including a pair in November and December but, the Blazers are lying in wait and get it done tonight. Take PORTLAND!

Miami at San Antonio 8:00 ET

Heat (+) over Spurs - This is a natural sequence for me having posted San Antonio in each of their last two wins and the Heat in their win over the Spurs 13 days ago in Miami. n that meeting Jimmy Butler played like the dog he can be at times but the Heat were able to hold Wambanyama to just 20 points on 8-for-18 shooting. The Heat have won eight of the past nine meetings and the beat goes on here. Take MIAMI!   

Stanford at SMU 6:00 ET

Cardinals (+) over Mustangs - All I have to say is that like in football Stanford is always an underrated club be it basketball, football and even baseball. SMU seems to be so highly valued and yet the have failed to make it to the NCAA Tournament in seven years. The Cardinal are fundamentally sound and have one of the highest combined field goal percentage and free throw percentages in the country. Both coaches Stanford’s Kyle Smith and the Mustang’s Andy Enfield are first year ACC transfers from the Pac-12 and have had plenty of experience against each other. The edge here goes to the Cardinal…take STANFORD!  

Orlando at Utah 5:00 ET

Jazz (+) over Magic - neither of these clubs did themselves much good the past month as the New year have shown a major downturn for both Orlando and Utah since they last met January 5 a 105-92 Jazz win as a nine-point underdog. Utah is 1-11 since that win and have dropped their last eight games in a row while Orlando is about the same going 3-9 SU in their last 12 games overall. Jazz should have confidence entering this fray knowing that they have already beaten them on their own court. Take UTAH!

Michigan State at USC 4:30 ET

Trojans (+) over Spartans - It should be no surprise that Michigan State is where they are currently ranked No. 7 and on a 13-game winning streak. The Spartans haven’t lost since November twice in early season tournaments to Memphis and Kansas. If USC views themselves as a tourney worthy team they have to start beating tourney teams like MSU. The Trojans have been hit with illness and injuries and were working with a seven-man rotation unlike the Spartans who use a 10 man rotation. After dropping 82-76 home game to rival UCLA, USC coach Eric Musselman recognizes the importance of a win here and will have his squad scrapping for every point. Take SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA!

Wisconsin at Northwestern 2:30 ET

Wildcats (+) over  Badgers - No. 17 Wisconsin has changed  it’s style for one of the toughest defensive squads that would control the ball and the tempo. But, this version has them among  the leading scoring teams in the nation averaging 82 points per game which is 14 points better than their previous average.  Northwestern is 10-2 SU at home and with this line that the bookies have posted gives them a fair chance to improve that record. The Badgers swept the two game series last season as the Wildcats had done the season before. Take NORTHWESTERN!

Auburn at Mississippi 2:00 ET

Rebels (+) over Tigers - No. 1 Auburn remains undefeated (7-0) in SEC action and with the quality of the conference overall I don’t know how long they can keep it up. They do have the league’s second leading scoring and leading rebounder in Johni Boome who is off of a 26-point, 16 rebound and three blocked shots performance against LSU. Mississippi enters this fray after a win at the finish over Texas after three straight losses to ranked SEC teams. The Rebels are 10-1 SU at home and are looking to pull of the outright win…I’ll take the points. Take MISSISSIPPI!  

Missouri at Mississippi State 1:00 ET

Tigers (+) over Bulldogs - Another pair of top-25 ranked teams from the SEC matchup in Starkville, where No. 14 Mississippi State is 8-2 SU on the season with both losses to ranked conference foes Alabama and Kentucky. The Bulldogs were just tamed by Alabama 88-84 when the shot 32% from the field and 62% from the free throw line. Missouri ranked No. 20 has won six of seven but are 1-8 SU and ATS in the past nine meetings with the Tigers lone win on overtime 66-64 two tears ago. The Tigers are good enough to get it done this time around . take MISSOURI!

Milwaukee at San Antonio 8:00 ET

Spurs (+) over Bucks- Milwaukee has won nine of their past 12 and with Giannis Antetokounmpo leading the way in scoring and defense. This is the second meeting of the season between these two with the Bucks winning and covering the first meeting in Milwaukee on January 8. San Antonio is 2-8 SU in their last 10 games and now at a season worst 4-games under the break-even mark. The Spurs who had a pair of contests played in Paris split the two games with Indiana and have been back long enough to combat any jet lag. Take SAN ANTONIO!  

Minnesota at Utah 9:00 ET

Jazz (+) over Timberwolves - Wow, just look at all these trends lining up behind Minnesota. Not only are the Timberwolves playing their best basketball of the season having won four straight including last night’s 121-113 win over the Suns in Phoenix but Utah enters on a seven game slide and have dropped 10 of the last 11 games. Now looking at the season series this is their first encounter of the year but the Wolves have won the past five meetings. Enough of the trends because the biggest one is the ‘action’ coming in on Minnesota…take UTAH!

Illinois at Nebraska 8:30 ET

Cornhuskers (+) over Fighting Illini - I have to go back to my basics when dealing with the ‘school’ boys (yeah, like they attend classes) there fore I am going solely with the A-Play the single strongest play on the board. But, I have down-graded it because of a recent downturn in College hoops. Illinois may be one of the most over-rated teams in the Big Ten but don’t tell that to the Cornhuskers who have dropped nine straight to the Fighting Illini. Nebraska was 12-2 at one point but have now lost their past six games with their last win coming against UCLA on January 4. It is time…take NEBRASKA!

Rutgers at Northwestern 9:00 ET

Wildcats (-) over Scarlet Knights - How a 10-10 team could be ranked in the top-25 is a bit odd don’t you think? This University of New Jersey team i.e. Rutgers has to be the most over-rated team in college basketball and yet an upstart like Northwestern is strongly favored at home. Well, the tale of the tape and the bookie’s know what they are doing as the Scarlet Knights are 1-4 SU on the road and the Wildcats are 10-1 at home. Both clubs are 3-6 in Big Ten play but the Wildcats have a coaching advantage with Chris Collins. Take NORTHWESTERN!

Dallas at New Orleans 8:00 ET

Pelicans (+) over Mavericks - This will be the third meeting of the season between these two clubs and they have both posted home wins as hosts. The first meeting in Dallas had the Mavericks posting a 132-91 victory and the Pelicans held serve two weeks ago with a 119-116 win to even the season series. New Orleans has dropped their last three outings but the Mavericks are starting a five-game road trip where they have lost six of their past seven games. Zion Williamson is back on the floor again and the Mavericks’ Luka Doncic is still out. Take NEW ORLEANS!

Sacramento at Philadelphia 7:30 ET

Kings (-) over 76ers - Talk about ‘numbers’ that seem out-of-whack (what is whack anyway?) as Sacramento is a strong favored on the road against a team that has won three in-a-row defeating the Lakers, Bulls and Cleveland who was so shocked they dropped their next two games adding to their longest losing streak this season (3-games). Philadelphia had won eight straight meetings but the Kings managed to breaks the losing streak to the 76ers but are still just 2-7-1 ATS in the past 10 meetings. So, seeing the Kings favored by this huge a margin make me believe that the Sixers are done after three wins. Philly will be without Embiid, Paul George and Drummond. Take SACRAMENTO!

Brooklyn at Charlotte 7:00 ET

Nets (+) over Hornets - The actual truth that one of these teams will be favored here is sort of a mean trick to pay on us as one of these clubs will end up with a win tonight. The fact that neither of these two squads should ever be favored make me run to the underdog. As a matter of fact Brooklyn was favored by -1.5 at home when they met in November and could not cover the point and a half winning 116-115. Another oddity is that the Nets have more road wins than the Hornets have home victories. Take BROOKLYN!

Marquette at Butler 8:30 ET

Bulldogs (+) over Golden Eagles - These two Big East competitors have both won their last time out but it ends there. Butler’s win was just their second in nine games with the win coming over Seton Hall with DePaul the other victory, not exactly power teams. The Golden Eagles’ win and cover (Power Play) make it 8-of 9 but head-to-head with the Bulldogs they are just 5-5 ATS. The former ‘Warriors’ are just 3-7 ATS in the last 10 games overall and have Connecticut in the wings up next. Distracted they don’t get there. Take BUTLER!

Kentucky at Tennessee 7:00 ET

Volunteers (+) over Wildcats - Tennessee started the season 14-0 and was the last undefeated team in D-1 to be beaten but have gone just 3-3 since and are off of a 53-51 loss at No. 1 Auburn Saturday. Kentucky started 12-2 but have now lost back to back games against Alabama and Vanderbilt. The price is high on the Volunteers and I expected there to be plenty of Wildcat action. There is something ‘rotten in Denmark’ and the hills smell here too.  This ‘price’ is getting silly…lay it!  But, the will leave Knoxville a tamed cat. Take TENNESSEE!

St, Johns at Georgetown 6:30 ET

Hoyas (+) over Redmen - During the fall it was Arizona State that had the biggest turn around year in football and this winter it is Georgetown doing it in basketball. The Hoyas are 13-7 and to many that gives them an outside change at the Big Dance but here is a program that  hasn’t had a winning record in the Big East since 2014-15. Last season they were 2-18, in conference play and 2-18 the year before that and the were 0-19 in season before that.they are currently 4-5 this season and have done it with defense going 14-6 to the UNDER. But, trouble can be ahead as St. John’s under Rick Pitino has their best record at 17-3 in 40 years. The former Redmen storm in having won their past six while the Hoyas have dropped five of six in Big East action. Today they bring this one down to the final minutes with a chance to weather the storm. Take GEORGETOWN!

Wildcats (+) over Cyclones - A pair of college basketball’s better coaches will face each other for the first time as No. 24 Arizona led by Tommy Lloyd and T.J. Otzelberger of No. 3 Iowa State as the Big-12’s second and third ranked in the conference. The Cyclones fell at West Virginia a week ago Saturday but have won 9-of-10 including beating ASU in Tempe and the Wildcats mirror that pattern losing at Texas Tech that Saturday and winning 9-of-10 overall. This is a huge game for the Cats as they have dropped in the ranking 20 spots and the next step is out! Take ARIZONA!

USC at UCLA 10:00 ET

Trojans (+) over Bruins - The Bruins were very goo to ‘us’ early and ‘we’ even played against them during their 4-game slide but I like their tough nose in your face style of basketball. Ranked No. 22 UCLA is a meager favorite on the road as well as 6-of-10 meetings. The Bruins snapped a 4-game losing streak and are a current 3-game heater including a win over Wisconsin. USC first year coach Eric Musselman has found the combination he have been looking for. Take USC!

Atlanta at Minnesota 8:00 ET

Hawks (+) over Timberwolves - It appears the Hawks have a wounded wing as they have lose for straight and never came close to covering the number. It looks like Minnesota has gained some foot hold with a pair of wins over Dallas and Denver but they have a history of struggling against Atlanta no matter where the game is being played. The Hawks are 7-3 SU in the past 10 meetings and 9-1 ATS with their lone ‘cover happening almost two years ago. Take ATLANTA!

LA Lakers at Charlotte  7:00 ET

Hornets (+) over Lakers - The Charlotte Hornets have had that kind of year, the kind that no team or coach ever wanted to happen. It has been a nightmare of injuries to a club that has so much potential as this young guard heavy club was physically taken out of the game. But, now the injured are returning to action and it shows on the court as the Hornets have won 4 of their last six. Take CHARLOTTE!  

Washington at Philadelphia 3:00 ET

Eagles (-) over Commanders - To start with I hate myself for passing on Washington in both of their playoff wins. I can sort of forgive myself for Detroit loss but not Tampa Bay. Now, they have finally met their Waterloo as the Eagles will soar behind their run game. Behind Saquon Barkley The birds will control the clock as they try and keep Hurts from having to make plays with his ailing knee. Hurts is 11-2 in home starts with both losses to the former Redskins. I think the kid is great and I believe he will be back and more than once but not today. ML tells me playoff teams in their fourth straight road game are 0-9 SU and 1-7-1 ATS. Take PHILADELPHIA!

Connectciut at Xavier 8:00 ET

Huskies (+) over Musketeers - It has been a rough season for the two-time defending National Champions as injuries and inconsistent play from the front court has them scrambling for wins. They had to go into overtime to beat a mediocre Butler team as Coach Bobby Hurley keeps berating the officials to the point of getting bounce everytime out. UConn looks to return to form against this midland club. Take CONNECTICUT!

Toronto at Atlanta 7:00 ET

Raptors (+) over Hawks - What I see Toronto’s record in the standings I smile a bit as most publications don’t print the ATS records and the Raptors are one of the better money makers at 25-18-1 ATS on the season. Atlanta has dropped three in a row, the last of which was to these same Raptors, and my first thought is that they are going to beat them again. They have won their last two and four of five outright. Take TORONTO!

Houston at Cleveland 7:30 ET

Rockets (+) over Cavaliers - Okay, Cleveland has lost their last two games, the first to the Rockets in Houston and then shockingly two days later were beaten outright by Philadelphia who had dropped seven straight. I believe that most would think that the Cavaliers are seeking revenge against Houston and will step up here, but. The Rockets want to prove Thursday’s win was not a fluke. Take HOUSTON!

Baylor at Utah 4:30 ET

Utes (+) over Bears - Utah had won three in-a-row before meeting power house Houston and were overwhelmed by the Cougars 70-36 in one of the worst beating in Utah’s basketball history. On the other side of the coin, Baylor ended a three-game slide with a win over Kansas State, but they are still 0-4 ATS in their last four games overall. The Bears are just 1-4 in true road games, and the Utes are 10-2 SY at home. Take UTAH!  

Denver at Minnesota 3:00 ET

Timberwolves (+) over Nuggets - The Nuggets are gathering no moss as they run over NBA opponents and have won four straight and eight of their past nine. Nikola Jokic has five straight triple-doubles and ties a feat only accomplished by Wilt Chamberlain, attaining 35 points, 22 rebounds, and 17 assists. He had two more assists and rebounds than the ‘Big Dipper.’ But, tonight, will be the guard play of the home Wolves that will make the difference. Take MINNESOTA!
