01-01-21 | Cincinnati v. Georgia -7 | 21-24 | Loss | -120 | 18 h 20 m | Show
Georgia vs Cincinnati 12:00 ET Bulldogs (-) over Bearcats- All season long I have been riding the Bearcats and singing their praises to anyone would listen and at the same time all I did was bad mouth the Bulldogs. Well, Georgia made an adjustment and changed quarterbacks and started JT Daniels the USC transfer and they have been a different team ever since winning all three starts three scoring 31, 45 and 49 points in consecutive weeks. When I first heard of this bowl matchup I was silly with glee, it was the meeting I wanted and I said that Cincinnati would probably win the game outright. But, as it sets up No. 8 undefeated (9-0) Cincinnati is a touchdown underdog to No. 9 (7-2) Georgia. This is a Bearcats team that has beaten three ranked teams and yet the the oddsmaker likes the Bulldogs. Most season's I would have stuck with the non-Big-5 team but the nation's media to pumping Cincinnati to help aid the expansion of the playoffs. Too much attention on the upstarts...take GEORGIA! |
12-31-20 | Colorado +2 v. USC | 72-62 | Win | 100 | 21 h 9 m | Show
Colorado at USC 10:00 ET Buffaloes (+) over Trojans- Now is a tricky one have I believe that 'we' win here with the Buffaloes we will make plenty of money on and against them the rest of the way. Colorado went to Arizona a place where that haven't won since entering the Pac-12 in 2011 and Arizona at home was a 2-point favorite. That 'price' tells me the bookmakers have a bit of respect for the Buffs. USC just had a 20-day break and posted an 86-63 win over Santa Clara on Tuesday and now are back on the court within 48 hours.Considering that Colorado is 13-40 ATS in their last 53 road games is not reflected in the line. Take COLORADO! |
12-31-20 | Michigan v. Maryland +1.5 | Top | 84-73 | Loss | -109 | 19 h 15 m | Show |
Michigan at Maryland 7:00 ET Terrapins (+) over Wolverines- So here comes No. 16 ranked and undefeated Michigan (7-0) into College Park and the Terrapins return home after upsetting ranked Wisconsin in Madison. The Wolverines just had an easy time as Nebraska where they were never threatened winning 80-69 as a 7.5-point favorite. That was Michigan's first game since Dec. 13 and in their last meeting in the final game last season the Big Ten co-champs who closed the season with a 83-70 win over the visiting Wolverines. Take MARYLAND! |
12-31-20 | Knicks v. Raptors -9 | Top | 83-100 | Win | 100 | 18 h 21 m | Show |
New York at Toronto 7:30 ET Raptors (-) over Knicks- Okay, enough le'ts get back to reality! Having 'had' the Knicks both games I am quite comfortable looking to pay against them here. Toronto who isn't sure where home is hasn't won a game (0-3) and they haven't covered' either. Now, the Raptors who have defeated New York eight straight times are a healthy 9-point favorite. If ever there was a spot to use a cliché this is 'what the doctor ordered' as Toronto needs a fix in the worst way. Last time out the blew a 14-point second half lead to the 76ers and they have already claimed that this is a 'must win' and I agree. Take TORONTO! |
12-31-20 | Minnesota v. Wisconsin -8 | 59-71 | Win | 100 | 16 h 43 m | Show
Minnesota at Wisconsin 4:30 ET Badgers (-) over Golden Gophers- No. 21 Minnesota just reeled off three straight home wins and covers starting with St. Louis, Iowa and then Michigan State as Rich Pitino has his squad 9-0 SU at home. Meanwhile, Wisconsin just had their five game winning streak halted by Maryland as a beaten 10-point favorite on Monday. The Golden Gophers have play on the road once and lost at Illinois by 27 points. I don't need a margin that big but double-digits will do! Take WISCONSIN! |
12-31-20 | West Virginia -6.5 v. Army | Top | 24-21 | Loss | -117 | 19 h 57 m | Show |
West Virginia vs Army 4:00 ET Mountaineers (-) over Cadets- Having been a former platoon Sergeant in the US Army it pains me to even write this up. Fort Campbell, KY and Fort Sill, OK stand proud as are both coming under fire for it's past policies and practices. After defeating Navy and Air Force on consecutive Saturdays to end the season the Cadets got this opportunity when Tennessee developed issues. So, the Army who had packed up their gear and ended their season had to unpack and start the 'show' up for one more game when this invite came along. Meanwhile, West Virginia hasn't missed a beat continuing to practice through all the crap. I could go on about schedules trends and such but it still comes down the the Cadets having ended a satisfying season (9-2 SU) and then end up getting drafted to play. Take the MOUNTAINEERS! |
12-31-20 | Ball State +10 v. San Jose State | 34-13 | Win | 100 | 17 h 56 m | Show
Ball State vs San Jose State 2:00 ET Cardinals (+) over Spartans- No. 22 ranked San Jose State is in un familiar terrible just being in a bowl game to start with and favored at that. Why so you ask. Well the Spartans were just 3-22 in Brent Brennan first two years as coach and improved to 5-7 last season and this year the perfect storm and they are 7-0 SU and 6-0-1 ATS. Ball State pulled off one the conference title games biggest upsets when the shut down Buffalo in the MAC and they are 7-0 in their n;last seven games as underdogs and 11-5 ATS in non-conference games. SJS has been playing well the last two seasons going 12-3-2 ATS in their last 17 games overall and are 15-5-1 ATS against teams with winning records but...they are 3-8 ATS out of conference. Take BALL STATE! |
12-31-20 | Mississippi State +1.5 v. Tulsa | 28-26 | Win | 100 | 15 h 56 m | Show
Tulsa vs Mississippi State 12:00 ET Bulldogs (+) over Golden Hurricane- Here we go with another losing team involved in a bowl game as 3-7 (Yup) Mississippi State makes their 11th straight bowl appearances in the Armed Forces Bowl. Tulsa (6-2) last played postseason in the Miami Bowl in 2015 and had won just nine games total in the previous three seasons. The Golden Hurricanes were 'game' in the AAC title game against undefeated Cincinnati 27-24. The Bulldogs opened the Mike Leach era with a win over LSU 44-34 and then lost seven of eight before closing with av 51-32 win over Missouri. With this line where it is the 'books' think that Tulsa is more just a 'Golden Shower.' Somehow...it's MISSISSIPPI STATE! |
12-30-20 | Blazers +3.5 v. Clippers | 105-128 | Loss | -103 | 11 h 5 m | Show
Portland at L.A. Clippers 10:00 ET Trailblazers (+) over Clippers- The Clippers responded to their worst loss (123-74) in franchise history like true professionals rebounding against the lowly Timberwolves with a convincing 124-101 win. Kawhi Leonard of course was missing from both contests and most likely will sit out once again as he's still no sure as to when his eight stitches will be removed from his mouth. Portland of course did their thing last time out against the Lakers who they have a mastery over the NBA Champs. The Blazers also have an edge on the Clippers going 5-2 ATS in the last seven meetings and are 4-1-1 ATS in their last six as underdogs while LA is 1-4 ATS in their last five as favorites. Take PORTLAND! |
12-30-20 | Lakers v. Spurs +5.5 | Top | 121-107 | Loss | -110 | 10 h 38 m | Show |
L.A. Lakers at San Antonio 8:30 ET Spurs (+) over Lakers- Los Angeles open the season with four games at home won the middle two while dropping their opener to the Clippers and Monday to Portland. They take to the road for the first time and are 1-3-1 ATS in their last away games. Lebron has been as good as ever and the Lakers still haven't settled in or found their chemistry, with Davis and others in-and-out things may take a bit of time. But, we are still talking about LeBron James who can and is the difference ANY time he decides. San Antonio broke out with a pair of wins but were totally out of whack last time out as they didn't box out allowing 13 offensive rebounds, committed 15 turnovers and made only eight free throws. Spurs 18-8 ATS in last 26 as home underdogs. Take SAN ANTONIO! |
12-30-20 | Hornets +8 v. Mavs | 118-99 | Win | 100 | 10 h 36 m | Show
Charlotte at Dallas 8:30 ET Hornets (+) over Mavericks- Hey Dallas, what's that all about...I mean a 50-point lead over the Clippers their last time out after starting the season 0-2. Think about this, the biggest halftime lead in NBA history 77-27 and it was over the Clippers. The Mavericks also had good news as Kristaps Porzingis had a full day of practice and should ready soon but not tonight. Charlotte posted their first win of the season over Brooklyn as an 11-point underdog on Sunday as 'our' Megabucks winner as Gordon Hayward blends in with his new mates as he works with Luca Doncic. Hornets are 8-0-1 ATS in their last nine games as underdogs and 4-1 ATS in their last five trips to Dallas. Take CHARLOTTE! |
12-30-20 | Florida +6 v. Oklahoma | Top | 20-55 | Loss | -110 | 19 h 56 m | Show |
Florida vs Oklahoma 8:00 ET Gators (+) over Sooners- In this the most unusual of seasons in all sports the Cotton Bowl which set up as one of the best games of the entire bowl venue has been tainted by defections. Florida and Oklahoma ranked 7 and 6 were to have a battle matching epic offenses that were running on all 16 cylinders. Both quarterbacks Florida's Kyle Trask and the Sooners Spencer Rattler are exceptional as the Gator senior has 43 TD passes (10 more than any other QB) and the red-shirt Sooners freshman one of the nations top recruits and he has completed 68% of his passes with 25 TD passes averaging 280 ypg. But, as you must have noticed by now the line which had the Gators favored and climbing to minus-3 has turned and jumped to Oklahoma -3 and then -4, 4.5, 5.5 and 6 and it will keep climbing until kickoff. The reason for this is that a number of Florida receivers will not be playing. If it's true that can be a big blow to the Gators, but that's how stars are born. So, we will have Florida and wait as long as, we can before making a play. Take FLORIDA! |
12-30-20 | North Carolina v. Georgia Tech +3.5 | 67-72 | Win | 100 | 7 h 46 m | Show
North Carolina at Georgia Tech 8:00 ET Yellow Jackets (+) over Tar Heels- North Carolina at 5-3 has been dropped from the rankings and quite deservedly so. I don't believe this is one of the Tar Heels better team and coach Williams know it. Both clubs have wins over Kentucky (heck, if you scheduled Kentucky you win) but Carolina has trailed by double-digits in six games three of which they lost. Carolina has covered just one spread in their last six games while the Yellow Jackets are just 2-5 ATS in their last seven they bound back after an ATS loss and are 20-7 ATS. Take GEORGIA TECH! |
12-30-20 | Mississippi State +2 v. Georgia | Top | 83-73 | Win | 100 | 6 h 51 m | Show |
Mississippi State at Georgia 7:00 ET Bulldogs (+) over Bulldogs- So big bad Georgia is undefeated (7-0) but was so lightly regarded by the oddsmakers that two games ago against a 2-5 Cincinnati team they were a 2-point underdog at home. Miss State is 4-0 at home and 0-3 on the road and all three were at neutral sites against better competition. This is the start of a 'new' season as it is the SEC opener for both and it takes on that little something extra. Of any trends of significance Georgia holds the edge but the oddsmaker say different. Take MISSISSIPPI STATE! |
12-30-20 | Seton Hall +2.5 v. Xavier | 85-68 | Win | 100 | 6 h 48 m | Show
Seton Hall at Xavier 7:00 ET Pirates (+) over Musketeers- Xavier opened with eight straight wins and busted into the rank9ngs at No. 22 and then promptly lost to another ranked team Creighton 66-61. They host Seton Hall who is a disappointing 6-5 rebounding from a 1-3 start and are 3-1 in Big East action. The Musketeers have had seven days to stew about their first loss and after that much time doubt starts to creep into your thoughts. The Pirates are 9-4 ATS in their last 13 road games and building confidence they are 24-11 ATS last 35 after a SU win. Add that the road team and underdog is 4-0 ATS in the last four meetings. Take SETON HALL! |
12-29-20 | Pelicans +3 v. Suns | 86-111 | Loss | -115 | 10 h 22 m | Show
New Orleans at Phoenix 10:00 ET Pelicans (+) over Suns- good start for both these clubs as neither has been to the playoffs in awhile. Phoenix last played in the post season 11 years ago and for New Orleans it's been three years. Both squads are looking for their young talented superstars to lead them to the promise land and they just might do it as Zion Williamson when healthy is unstoppable and few can keep up with the Suns Devin Booker. The Pelicans are 1-5 ATS in their last six road games while Phoenix is 7-0 ATS in their last seven home games. New Orleans is 7-3 ATS in the last 10 meetings and 6-1 ATS in the last seven in Phoenix. Take the PELICANS! |
12-29-20 | Colorado v. Texas -7 | Top | 23-55 | Win | 100 | 25 h 47 m | Show |
Texas vs Colorado 9:00 ET Longhorns (-) over Buffaloes- No. 20 Texas closed their season with a rush winning four of their last five heading into their fourth straight bowl under Tom Herman and they are 3-0 the past three bowls. Under first year coach Karl Dorrell Colorado was the surprise of the Pac-12 opening the season with an impressive win over UCLA but finished on a down note losing at home to Utah. The price is high to me as Texas is just 1-3-1 ATS in last five as favorites although they are 7-1 ATS in their last eight non-conference games and 7-1 ATS in the last eight meetings. Buffs are only 3-8 ATS after a SU loss (before Dorrell) but also 5-2 ATS out of conference. Take TEXAS! |
12-29-20 | Knicks +3.5 v. Cavs | Top | 95-86 | Win | 100 | 8 h 60 m | Show |
New York at Cleveland 7:00 ET Knicks (+) over Cavaliers- Break-up the Cavs, no hey break-up the Knicks! All of a sudden these two dog franchises have show life and have actually won some games. Cleveland is 3-0 both SU and ATS having defeated Charlotte, Detroit and Philadelphia not exactly the top tier of NBA clubs but their was one common denominator...the were underdogs in all three. The turnaround here is that they have become the favorite and have a target on their back. New York finally jumped into the win column handing Tom Thibodeau his first win with a 130-110 pounding of Milwaukee. That's a great confidence builder for this young Knicks team who look much improved. Take NEW YORK! |
12-29-20 | Celtics v. Pacers +1 | 116-111 | Loss | -115 | 7 h 23 m | Show
Boston at Indiana 7:00 ET Pacers (+) over Celtics- Anytime I hear 'it's just another game' or 'no need to panic' I think that quote came from is a loser. With the Celtics at 1-2 there is no need to panic, so why mention it! The Pacers are 3-0 and with a healthy Victor Oladipo returning to form Indiana is looking to rise to the next tier. Boston has had some changes to their roster and the biggest hole to fill was created by the departure of Gordon Hayward. After defeating Milwaukee 122-121 opening night the Celtics were blown out by the Nets and lost 108-107 against Indiana Sunday as a 2.5-point favorite and tonight they opened -1, it won't matter. This is the second of back-to-back games scheduled with the same team hosting the ' series' and the Pacers are looking for the sweep. Take INDIANA! |
12-29-20 | Purdue +3.5 v. Rutgers | Top | 76-81 | Loss | -110 | 7 h 31 m | Show |
Purdue at Rutgers 7:00 ET Boilermakers (+) over Scarlet Knights- Rutgers was 6-0 with a pair of Big Ten wins over Maryland and Illinois and then ran into Ohio State was were out-classed 80-68 after building a 13-point lead. The Scarlet Knights won their first five games by double-digits but a 20-1 run by the Buckeyes brought Rutgers back to reality. The are lead by one-gang Ron Harper Jr. who can't do it alone and the Knights will be short handed as a pair of their standout freshman are questionable. Purdue had won the first eight meetings between the two until last season when Rutgers swept the series (2-0) and this time out the boilermakers get their revenge. Take PURDUE! |
12-28-20 | Blazers +3.5 v. Lakers | 115-107 | Win | 100 | 9 h 50 m | Show
Portland at L.A. Lakers 10:00 ET Trailblazers (+) over Lakers- There is a bit of an anomaly surrounding this contest as Portland is just 3-8 ATS in the last 11 meetings but they are 21-8 ATS in the last 29 meetings in Los Angeles. The last time these two clubs met was in the first round of the 2020 'Bubble Playoffs' and the Lakers took the series 4-1. The Blazers were off to a slow start getting pounded 120-100 in their open to Utah and struggled to defeat a short-handed Houston square the COVID restrictions and only nine active players. Anthony Davis is out for LA and Carmelo Anthony is out for Portland and I'll take that exchange any day of the week. Take PORTLAND! |
12-28-20 | Colorado +3 v. Arizona | Top | 74-88 | Loss | -108 | 10 h 50 m | Show |
Colorado at Arizona 9:00 ET Buffaloes (+) over Wildcats- Something smells here! Arizona (6-1) who perennially is a national contender on the hardwood is a meager favorite at home over Colorado who since joining the Pac-12 in 2011 has never won in Tucson. Get this the Buffaloes are 13-39 ATS in their last 52 road games and yet they virtually have to win the game outright to win the bet. Coach Sean Miller said of his Wildcats he has five new faces starting and they may have won six games but they are 0-1 against Division I schools. Losing to Stanford in their conference opener. The Buffaloes are a veteran team that leads the nation in free throw percentage (85.9%) while Arizona is shooting 54.4% at the line in their last two games. Take COLORADO! |
12-28-20 | Rockets v. Nuggets -6.5 | Top | 111-124 | Win | 100 | 8 h 51 m | Show |
Houston at Denver 9:00 ET Nuggets (-) over Rockets- Denver is 0-2 on the season and yet is a 9-point favorite over a team that has the league's leading scorer the last three seasons in James Harden. But that's not all, Houston also has four players in quarantine and the league is still looking to take action against Harden for violations of the COVID regulations. Denver who went to the conference finals last season is 0-2 at home losing outright as 9.5-point favorites in both games. Although the Rockets are 8-3 ATS in the last 11 meetings but they are 7-17 ATS on the road while despite the recent losses the Nuggets are 9-4-1 ATS in their last 14 at home. Third time will be a charm for the Nuggets at home...take DENVER! |
12-28-20 | Bills v. Patriots +7.5 | Top | 38-9 | Loss | -124 | 24 h 5 m | Show |
New England at Buffalo 8:15 ET Patriots (+) over Bills- It has just got to be! With Buffalo (11-3) having already clinched the AFC East could be looking past the Patriots toward the playoffs but having won the Division for the first time in 21 years (1999) they may want to made a statement to New England who has dominated the AFC East since Belichick's arrival. Getting Cam Newton to replace Tom Brady was a one-year experiment that just didn't work as he has eight games without a touchdown pass and New England has to rebuild from the bottom up. I'm really impressed with Josh Allen this season and his top receiver Stephon Diggs but, I can see the Bills taking their foot off the gas while the Pats play for pride. Take NEW ENGLAND |
12-28-20 | Grizzlies +4 v. Nets | 116-111 | Win | 100 | 6 h 20 m | Show
Memphis at Brooklyn 7:00 ET Grizzlies (+) over Nets- Dreams of a perfect season were dashed at Charlotte when the Hornets built an 18-point lead before holding on to hand the Nets first loss of the season 106-104. Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving have been outstanding together leading Brooklyn in scoring in all three of their game to date But, it appears that one of the Nets 'Big-Two' will mostly likely rest as both are coming off serious season ending injuries. Memphis is looking for their first win of the season and fight to get it here. Take MEMPHIS! |
12-27-20 | Suns v. Kings +3 | 116-100 | Loss | -104 | 9 h 56 m | Show
Phoenix at Sacramento 9:00 ET Kings (+) over Suns- We are going to see a lot of back-to-back series between teams that might not seem that unusual except that like baseball the back-to-back series will have they home team hosting both games. The Kings prevailed for us last night over the Suns and I expect them to do it again tonight. Phoenix opened with a win over Dallas for their nine straight as the closed last season with eight straight win ending the season in the bubble. Phoenix is 3-9 ATS in their last 12 games following an ATS loss while the Kings are 10-2-1 ATAS in their last 13 as underdogs including 7-1-1 ATS in their last nine as home dogs. Take SACRAMENTO! |
12-27-20 | Celtics v. Pacers +2.5 | 107-108 | Win | 100 | 8 h 57 m | Show
Boston at Indiana 8:00 ET Pacers (+) over Celtics- Boston opened their season with a thrilling 122-121 victory over Milwaukee and then held a 64-59 lead over Brooklyn at the half and were outscored 72-41 in the second. With the departure of Gordon Hayward and Al Horford Boston doesn't have the chemistry of recent seasons. Indiana has a healthy Victor Oladipo and a powerful Domantas Sabonis who is averaging 27 points and 12 rebounds per game. Boston is 8-3 ATS in their last 11 road games while the Pacers are 5-2-` ATS in their last eight home games. Take INDIANA! |
12-27-20 | 76ers v. Cavs +7 | Top | 94-118 | Win | 100 | 7 h 28 m | Show |
Philadelphia at Cleveland 7:30 ET Cavaliers (+) over 76ers- The Sixers seem to have a new attitude under Doc Rivers leadership as Joel Embiid looks rejuvenated as he averages 28 points and 12 rebounds. Cleveland has won their first two games for the first time since LeBron James left as No. 1 draft pick Collin Sexton has been unstoppable and is off a 32 point performance. Kevin Love is back in the lineup and the Sixers were just 10-24 on the road last season. Take the CAVALIERS! |
12-27-20 | Panthers +1 v. Washington Football Team | Top | 20-13 | Win | 100 | 16 h 18 m | Show |
Carolina at Washington 4:05 ET Panthers (+) over 'Those Guys'- Carolina is one of those team that have played much better than their record shows as they fought through injuries to key personnel. The Panthers have been especially under-rated on the road as they are 2-5 SU but get this 6-1 ATS. So, here we have division leader Washington who must win to stay in playoff contention only a 1-point favorite at home. It just looks the 'books' know Haskins can't cut it. Cats are 8-1 in last nine as road underdogs while the Football Team is 1-4 ATS as favorites and 6-13 ATS after a SU loss. Take CAROLINA! |
12-27-20 | Broncos +3 v. Chargers | 16-19 | Push | 0 | 16 h 59 m | Show
Chip's AFC High Roller Winner Denver at L.A. Chargers 4:05 ET Broncos (+) over Chargers- I'm a little surprised that this line is as low as it is even tho these two clubs have the same record 5-9. My concept of these two is that Justin Herbert is better than Drew Lock and the Chargers should be a stronger favorite. But, remember, no matter what you think for the most part that guy, the entity that sets the line knows more than 'we' do and they always will. LA opened under a field goal will probably lose by that amount today. Denver has been consistent not having two bad outing in a row as they are 8-1 ATS after a loss and are 7-2 ATS in their last nine meetings in Los Angeles and the road team is 13-6-2 ATS in the last 21 meetings. Take DENVER! |
12-27-20 | Giants +10 v. Ravens | 13-27 | Loss | -113 | 13 h 2 m | Show
Chip's NFL Power Play Winner New York Giants at Baltimore 1:00 ET Giants (+) over Ravens- With their mid-season lull behind them the Ravens have won three straight making a charge for the playoffs which is out of their control right now as Miami held the tie-breakers going into this weekend. New York is one-game behind Washington but own all tie-breakers and QB Daniel Jones returns after sitting out 2-of-3 weeks. The Giants play to ugh when you would least expect it as they are 7-2 ATS in their last nine as underdogs and 20-6 ATS in their last 26 as road dogs. Baltimore has some glowing trends but I'm not going to give them because I want no doubts about playing the Giants here. Take NEW YORK! |
12-27-20 | Bears v. Jaguars +8.5 | 41-17 | Loss | -107 | 13 h 59 m | Show
Chicago at Jacksonville 1:00 ET Jaguars (+) over Bears- Wouldn't it something if the Jaguars win this game on the field and lose out on the Trevor Lawrence sweepstakes. It could happen because the Bears are such frauds as their defense is mediocre and their offense even after a good month still isn't in the top half of the league. Chicago is still 'live' for the playoffs recovering from a six-game losing streak and have won their last two while Jacksonville looks to break a 13-game losing streak and will give veteran Mike Glennon some playing time and it might help. Take the JAGUARS! |
12-27-20 | Browns v. Jets +7 | 16-23 | Win | 100 | 13 h 58 m | Show
Cleveland at New York Jets 1:00 ET Jets (+) over Browns- Cleveland currently has a pair of distinctions that are NFL streaks of longevity and futility as they have been shut out of the playoffs longer than any other club and they are along with the Lions the only original merger teams that have not made it to a Super Bowl. The Browns haven't been in the playoffs since 2002 and are 10-4 but still need to win and have either Miami, Baltimore or Indianapolis lose. Covid has hit the Browns and four of their receivers will be missing but with a taste of victory being so sweet for the jets last week they want to do it again. Take NEW YORK JETS! |
12-26-20 | Suns v. Kings +3.5 | 103-106 | Win | 100 | 11 h 54 m | Show
Phoenix at Sacramento 10:00 ET Kings (+) over Suns- It has been a combined 24 years between these two since either has made the playoffs 14 season for the Kings and 10 years for the Suns. Both clubs opened season with wins as Phoenix took care of Dallas at home while Sacramento went to Denver and won in OT 124-122. The Suns have now won nine straight as they were 8-0 in 'Bubble' games closing last season and they are 11-1 ATS in their last seven. The Kings have been playing well themselves as the are 5-2 ATS as underdogs in their last seven and 9-2-1 ATS as underdogs including 6-1-1 ATS at home as dogs. Take SACRAMENTO! |
12-26-20 | Dolphins v. Raiders +2.5 | 26-25 | Win | 100 | 6 h 43 m | Show
Miami at Las Vegas 8:00 ET Raiders (+) over Dolphins- Las Vegas has been horrid that past six weeks with their only win coming against the Jets with a Hail Mary pass on the final play of the game. Miami knows that they have to win out in the AFC top have a shot at the playoffs and consider this encounter a 'play-in game.' The Raiders lost QB Derek Carr early last week with a calf strain and his status is questionable. Marcus Mariota filled in and looked the best he has in three years and says it's all about him being healthy. In a surprise take LAS VEGAS! |
12-26-20 | Pacers v. Bulls +5 | 125-106 | Loss | -100 | 9 h 17 m | Show
Indiana at Chicago 8:00 ET |
12-26-20 | 76ers v. Knicks +8.5 | Top | 109-89 | Loss | -104 | 9 h 53 m | Show |
Philadelphia at New York 7:30 ET Knicks (+) over 76ers- The 76ers did their thing staging a fourth quarter comeback in defeating the Wizards gaining the victory with a non-cover. In their opener against Indiana New York held a lead at the half and then just could keep pace as the Pacers just ran over the Knicks in the second half. New York under their first year with veteran coach Tom Thibodeau showed some signs of promise as RJ Barrett looked like the player the Knicks thought he could be. I'm not sure if Philadelphia has solved any of their internal issues but the are still 16-35-2 ATS in their last 53 road games. Take NEW YORK! |
12-26-20 | 49ers +5 v. Cardinals | Top | 20-12 | Win | 101 | 12 h 0 m | Show |
San Francisco at Arizona 4:30 ET '49ers (+) over Cardinals- San Francisco has had some kind of year and I mean in the NFL not what's going on in their streets but the results have been similar a total disaster. They were five minutes away from winning the Super Bowl and now they will try and be a spoiler against Arizona who can clinch a Wild Card spot with a win here. With backup QB Mullins going down last week the Niners signed Josh Rosen but C.J. Beathard will start and they are 7-3 ATS in their last 10 games as underdogs. How much of a road game this is can be questioned as San Francisco play their home game here now. Take SAN FRANCISCO! |
12-26-20 | Indiana +7 v. Illinois | 60-69 | Loss | -105 | 12 h 6 m | Show
Indiana at Illinois 4:00 ET Hoosiers (+) over Illini- Indiana just opened their Big Ten season with a home loss to Northwestern as a 7-point favorite and now are about the same price as an underdog at Illinois. The Illini just pounded Penn State 98-81 as a 4.5-point road favorite as they took control midway thru the second half. Hoosiers coach Archie Miller was so upset with his clubs performance he call a 9am Christmas Eve practice to fix their ills and the Hoosiers are 7-0 ATS after a straight-up loss. Now, you understand why...Take INDIANA! |
12-26-20 | Virginia +9 v. Gonzaga | Top | 75-98 | Loss | -110 | 12 h 6 m | Show |
Gonzaga at Virginia 4:00 ET Cavaliers (+) over Bulldogs- No. 15 Virginia was looking to prove themselves against ranked teams like Villanova, Florida and Michigan State all of which were cancelled do to COVID issues. The Cavaliers have won three straight but haven't played anyone the likes No. 1 Gonzaga's (6-0) who just played a pair of games against Northwestern State just to stay sharp as they won by 38 and 17 as 39 and 43-point favorites. Virginia (4-1) will be facing a Bulldogs team that averages 95PPG and Tony Bennett will have his No. 5 ranked defense ready and they rise to meet their competition and are 37-16 ATS in their last 53 games as an underdog. Take VIRGINIA! |
12-26-20 | Western Kentucky +4 v. Georgia State | 21-39 | Loss | -112 | 10 h 18 m | Show
Western Kentucky and Georgia State 3:30 ET Hilltoppers (+) mover Panthers- It's Conference USA rep Western Kentucky (5-6) against the Sun Belt's Georgia State who is making their fourth bowl appearance since entering the conference 11 years ago. The Hilltoppers dropped four of their first five against bowl teams losing the UAB, liberty Louisville and Marshall while Georgia State's schedule was not as rigorous. WKU is 39-19 ATS in their last 58 as underdogs while the Panthers are 3-8 ATS L-11 against teams with losing records. Take WESTERN KENTUCKY! |
12-26-20 | Kentucky +4.5 v. Louisville | 59-62 | Win | 100 | 9 h 7 m | Show
Kentucky at Louisville 1:00 ET Wildcats (+) over Cardinals- These two have mirror records and the Wildcats at 1-5 may be in trouble when the Big Dance arrives and the 5-1 Cardinals will have to be better than what we've seen. Louisville does have wins over Seton Hall and their ACC opener over Pittsburgh but they were destroyed by Wisconsin 85-48. Kentucky has a number of problems one of which is poor shooting from the line (66%) and from beyond the arc (24.3). They are young and have maturity issues as Calipari has given players leave of absence from the team for a limited time. This is the 'biggest' game of the schedule for both side and a huge effort is needed in the worst way for the Wildcats. Take KENTUCKY! |
12-25-20 | Clippers v. Nuggets +2.5 | Top | 121-108 | Loss | -105 | 25 h 21 m | Show |
L.A. Clippers at Denver 10:30 ET Nuggets (+) over Clippers- I just love the way this one sets itself up as the Clippers come off their opening night win over the NBA Champs and take to the road against a beaten-favorite. Denver lost in overtime at Sacramento and return home hungry for their first win of the season. The last time these two met was during the 'Bubble Playoffs' and LA had a 3-1 game lead in the series only to see the Nuggets come back with three straight wins. In their loss to the Kings Jamal Murray had one field goal before fouling out, I expect a much better performance tonight. Denver 10-4 ATS as home dogs. Take NUGGETS! |
12-25-20 | Iowa v. Minnesota +7 | 95-102 | Win | 100 | 22 h 57 m | Show
Iowa at Minnesota 8:00 ET Golden Gophers (+) over Hawkeys- Funny isn't it how two teams from the same conference the Big Ten with the same impressive record (7-1) can be graded so differently. Iowa is ranked No. 5 and has only lost to No. 1 Gonzaga while the Golden Gophers only lost at Illinois and are unranked. Minnesota coach Richard Pitino has made his squad aware of the media's opinion of their record and talent. Iowa has won the last two meetings but the gophers won 12 of the previous 17. Iowa is just 3-7 ATS as road favorites and the home team is 5-1 ATS in the last six meetings. Take MINNESOTA! |
12-25-20 | Nets v. Celtics +3.5 | 123-95 | Loss | -114 | 20 h 51 m | Show
Brooklyn at Boston 5:00 ET Celtics (+) over Nets- Okay, everyone was waiting to see what the Nets would look and play like with their cadre of Superstars and they did not disappoint running away from the Warriors 125-99 with Durant and Irving leading the way with scoring 22 and 26 points respectively. Boston of course pulled another home underdog win against Milwaukee and are now 17-4 ATS as home underdogs and 23-8 in their last 31 games as dogs overall. Nets 7-2 ATS on the road but this is a new group and it's their first road game. Take BOSTON! |
12-25-20 | Vikings +7 v. Saints | 33-52 | Loss | -115 | 22 h 43 m | Show
Chip's NFC 'Stand-Alone' Winner Minnesota at New Orleans- Two weeks ago the Saints were the No. 1 seed in the NFC but have now dropped their last two games for the first time in three seasons and trail Green Bay for the overall top seed but can clinch the Division with a single victory. Last week Drew Brees returned to the lineup for New Orleans and despite everything that you have have heard he didn't pass 'my' eye test as his passes didn't have the same 'zip' or velocity and his accuracy wasn't all that good either. Minnesota (6-8) has been a hard team to figure this season and this week they have nine defensive players on injury report. Vikings have a small chance for the playoffs if they win out and Arizona loses their final two. Minny is 38-14 ATS after a straight-up loss and 4-1 ATS in last five road games while NO is 4-1 ATS in last five as favorites and are 9-2 ATS against teams with losing records. Take MINNESOTA! |
12-25-20 | Warriors +10.5 v. Bucks | 99-138 | Loss | -114 | 17 h 28 m | Show
Golden State at Milwaukee 2:30 ET Warriors (+) over Bucks- From what I've seen of the Warriors I'm beginning to wonder if the belong in this league. Granted losing Klay Thompson once again for a full season has doomed this franchise for another season. Along with Stephen Curry they were (are?) the best 'shooting guard' tandem in the league but with Draymon Green still out they don't have the defensive intensity needed and the pressure showed in Curry's terrible performance at Brooklyn on Tuesday. The Bucks had the best record in the NBA and still they have nothing to show for it while Golden State had the worst record in the league and got No. 1 pick James Wiseman out of the mix. Take the WARRIORS! |
12-25-20 | Marshall +4.5 v. Buffalo | Top | 10-17 | Loss | -110 | 21 h 39 m | Show |
Marshall vs. Buffalo 2:30 ET Thundering Herd (+) over Bulls- Both these non-Big 5 clubs started the season with prolonged winning streaks as Marshall was 7-0 before getting pasted 20-0 by Rice (they also lost to UAB 22-13 in their next game) while Buffalo was 5-0 entering their MAC Championship game where they were bested by Ball State 38-28 last Friday. The Bulls have the flash with Jaret Patterson who ran for 301 and 409-yard in back-to-back games but was removed in the final quarter as he injured his right knee. The Thundering Herd are 11-4 ATS in their last 15 as underdogs and 7-1 ATS in their last eight bowl games while Buffalo is 1-7 ATS at neutral sites. Take MARSHALL! |
12-24-20 | Hawaii v. Houston -9.5 | Top | 28-14 | Loss | -111 | 17 h 8 m | Show |
Hawaii vs Houston 3:30 ET Cougars (-) over Rainbow Warriors- How 'bout diss, the New Mexico Bowl is being played in Frisco, Texas somewhere in that huge state near Dallas. Houston (3-4) has dropped their three after having eight games postponed or cancelled is 19-7 against Mountain West teams and they want to finish the season at .500. Hawaii who is used to playing and hosting their own bowl game will be playing a bowl game on the mainland for just the third time. The Rainbows defeated the Cougars 54-48 in 3OT's in the 2003 Hawaii Bowl and the cats have been waiting for revenge ever since (Ya think?)! Aside the Islanders are 17-41 ATS against teams with losing records and 19-46 ATS after an ATS loss. Houston who plays on field turf is 20-8 on natural grass. Take HOUSTON! |
12-23-20 | Spurs +2 v. Grizzlies | Top | 131-119 | Win | 100 | 6 h 24 m | Show |
San Antonio at Memphis 8:00 ET Spurs (+) over Grizzlies- Memphis who has the youngest roster in the NBA averaging just 24 years of age qualified as the 8th seed in last seasons playoffs but loss a one-game play-in game to Portland ended their surprising season. The Grizzlies had a strong preseason winning their first three while San Antonio failed to win a game going 0-3 and losing all three game by at least 13 points. This is Popovich at his best. Spurs are 5-1 ATS as underdogs and Memphis is 2-7 ATS in their last seven overall. Take SAN ANTONIO! |
12-23-20 | Heat v. Magic +5 | 107-113 | Win | 100 | 5 h 23 m | Show
Miami at Orlando 7:00 ET Magic (+) over Heat- It was just seven short weeks ago when the Miami Heat made their incredible run to the NBA Finals and they just may not be up to it this soon. Because of the short break between seasons and the knowledge of the grind ahead a number of players will be playing just a percentage of their normal minutes on the court and the one this affects the most is Jimmy Butler. Although the Magic seem to disappear at home going just 2-13-1 ATS in their last 16 as home underdogs they youth developed fast during the latter part of last season before the virus. Take ORLANDO! |
12-23-20 | Hornets v. Cavs +2.5 | 114-121 | Win | 100 | 5 h 22 m | Show
Charlotte at Cleveland 7:05 ET Cavaliers (+over Hornets- Guess what? Cleveland's Kevin Love is nursing a right calf strain and will sit out the opener, what a shock as he has missed 69 games the past two seasons. Charlotte meanwhile is off their final preseason loss to Orlando as LaMelo Ball was 1-of-10 from the floor. The Hornets closed last season 7-0-1 ATS but it is a new time and the Cavaliers are 5-2-1 ATS in their last eight games as home underdogs. Cavs center Andre Drummond averaged 17.2 points and 15.2 rebounds last season and said he is determined to be the NBA Defensive player of the year. It must start here. Take CLEVELAND! |
12-23-20 | Villanova v. Marquette +5 | Top | 85-68 | Loss | -105 | 7 h 44 m | Show |
Villanova at Marquette 7:00 ET Golden Eagles (+) over Wildcats- No. 5 Villanova has already beaten a pair of ranked teams in Texas and Arizona State and have run off five straight winners since their lone loss in overtime against Virginia Tech. Marquette has dropped 3-of-4 winning at Creighton but losing at UCLA and Xavier and falling to Seton Hall at home. The Wildcats are the better club but the Golden Eagles are in a in a foul mood should be ready to bring this one down to the final buzzer. Take MARQUETTE! |
12-23-20 | Illinois v. Penn State +4 | 98-81 | Loss | -110 | 6 h 13 m | Show
Illinois at Penn State 6:00 ET Nittany Lions (+) over Illini- The thing we should all remember about polls, is that they are mostly bias opinions that reveal little. No. 18 Illinois started the season as high as No. 5 in the polls and then they had to play some games and have lost three times, granted all of their losses came against ranked teams in Baylor, Rutgers and Missouri but they didn't win any of them. The Illini are 2-7 ATS in their last nine games against teams with winning records and 1-4 ATS in their last five on the road and the underdog in this series is 19-8-2 ATS in the last 29 meetings. Take PENN STATE! |
12-23-20 | Rutgers +3 v. Ohio State | 68-80 | Loss | -115 | 4 h 15 m | Show
Rutgers at Ohio State 4:30 ET Scarlet Knights (+) Buckeyes- No. 17 Rutgers (6-0) get a true test at No. 20 Ohio State (6-1) who responded to their first loss to Purdue with a healthy win Saturday over UCLA 77-70. The Buckeyes have added different players to the mix as some return and they depend on a number of inconsistent freshmen. Meanwhile., I usually don't back one-man-teams but when your leader is unstoppable he make everyone else better and the best player on the floor will be Ron Harper Jr. Scarlet Knights are 18-6-2 ATS against teams with winning records and are 7-3-1 ATS on the road while the Buckeyes are 20-8 ATS in their last 28 home games. So...take RUTGERS! |
12-22-20 | Clippers +3 v. Lakers | Top | 116-109 | Win | 100 | 24 h 35 m | Show |
L.A. Clippers at L. A. Lakers 10:00 ET Clippers (+) over Lakers- The defending NBA champion Lakers will open the season against the Clippers and their will be no home court advantage. Not only because fans won't be allowed to attend but of course because the Clippers and Lakers play in the same building. LAL went 4-0 in the preseason and with their off-season acquisitions many believe they are even stronger while LAC who was 0-3 in the preseason remained pat for the most part. Okay, he's meaningless support for 'our' side...Clippers are 7-0 ATS when playing the Lakers as visitors. Take CLIPPERS! |
12-22-20 | Purdue +7 v. Iowa | 55-70 | Loss | -110 | 18 h 60 m | Show
Purdue at Iowa 9:00 ET Boilermakers (+) over Hawkeyes- Usually I like for there have been more games played but with so many cancellations this one will serve 'our' purpose. I call it the 'Bang-Bang' theory where after an undefeated team is handed their first loss like Iowa against Gonzaga, after that they falter a second time the next time out (sort of like the Steelers this year) and they fall short. Purdue is off a 88-78 win at Notre Dame and has beaten the Hawkeyes four straight times and they are good enough to do it a fifth time. Take PURDUE! |
12-22-20 | Central Florida +6.5 v. BYU | 23-49 | Loss | -110 | 19 h 49 m | Show
Central Florida vs. B.Y.U. 7:00 ET Knights (+) over Cougars- The most commendable thing that took place during this weirdest of all college football when undefeated BYU accepted a opportunity to travel to play undefeated Coastal Carolina with just 48 hours notice after COVID cancellations. So, the Cougars on a bye week with no plans to play took on the challenge and were handed the defeat that squashed their hopes. BYU's QB Zach Wilson brings the No. 8 offense into south Florida and he's looking forward to playing in warm weather. But, he will be up against Gabriel Dillon who leads the No. 2 overall offense with 586 yards a game including 373 yards passing. Cougars have a much stronger defense No. 9 allowing joust 309 YPG while the Knights surrender 474ypg and 31.4 ppg while BYU allows just 14.6ppg. But, this is a bowl game in the South. Take CENTRAL FLORIDA! |
12-22-20 | Texas Tech v. Oklahoma +2 | 69-67 | Push | 0 | 16 h 1 m | Show
Texas Tech at Oklahoma 7:00 ET Sooners (+) over Red Raiders- Texas Tech was amped up for their home encounter with Kansas a 58-57 loss as the pressure of the meeting had them shooting tight and making just 32% of their shots from the field including 26% from 3-point range. Still, the Red Raiders have the No. 2 defense allowing just 52.4 ppg while Oklahoma's offense averages 85.3 ppg. Tech doesn't handle defeat very well as they are 7-19-7 ATS in their last 27 games after a straight-up loss. Add that the home team is 9-2-1 ATS in the last 12 meetings has me with the home dog. Take the SOONERS! |
12-22-20 | North Carolina v. NC State +1.5 | 76-79 | Win | 100 | 16 h 0 m | Show
North Carolina at N.C. State 7:00 ET Wolfpack over Tar Heels- It's a bit unusual for these two rivals to be opening their ACC schedule against each other but these are strange times. NC State has moved their home games to PNC Arena and the Wolfpack players love the venue. North Carolina is off a rout of Kentucky outscoring the Wildcats 41-19 over one stretch but unlike season's past the Tar Heels are sluggish offensively and are ranked No. 157 and their defense isn't so hot either ranked No. 115 surrendering 66.7 ppg. NC not the club the media makes them out to be as they are 5-13-1 ATS after a straight-up win. State is 5-1 ATS in their last six home games and 5-2 ATS in their last seven overall. Take the WOLFPACK! |
12-22-20 | Tulane v. Nevada +2.5 | 27-38 | Win | 100 | 17 h 21 m | Show
Tulane vs Nevada 3:30 ET Wolf Pack (+) over Green Wave- After starting 5-0 Nevada stumbled to the finish line losing two of their last three including a loss to San Jose State in the MWC Championship game. Tulane came from 2-4 to win 4-of-5 and finish 6-5 but just 3-5 in the AAC. Their will be no fans in attendance but the reception in Idaho will be cold enough for the Louisiana based Green Wave. Nevada is 0-3 in this 'Spud' Bowl having lost last season to Ohio and before that to Miami and Maryland. This time behind Carson Strong the MWC Player of the Year the Wolf Pack get the gravy in the Potato Bowl. Take NEVADA! |
12-20-20 | Browns v. Giants +6.5 | Top | 20-6 | Loss | -110 | 19 h 54 m | Show |
Cleveland at New York Giants 8;20 ET Giants (+) over Browns- Daniel Jones is out and Colt McCoy is in for the Giants and there will be no homecoming or welcoming party here for Odell Beckham. New York had their 4-game win streak stop by Arizona last week and they were never in it while Cleveland had their own 4-game win streak stopped by the Ravens on Monday night. The Browns (9-4) are much improved but are still 4-9-1 ATS after a SU loss while the Giants are 6-0 ATS after an ATS loss and 7-1 ATS in their last eight as underdogs and 4-1 ATS in the last four meetings. Take NEW YORK GIANTS! |
12-20-20 | Providence +4 v. Seton Hall | Top | 80-77 | Win | 100 | 6 h 3 m | Show |
Providence at Seton Hall 4:30 ET Friars (+) over Pirates- Just when they started putting it together with four straight wins Seton Hall is messing with their chemistry by adding two new faces into the mix at the same time. Providence hasn't played since dec 9 when they won 79-70 at TCU and should hungry to play Take PROVIDENCE! |
12-20-20 | Chiefs v. Saints +3 | 32-29 | Push | 0 | 15 h 59 m | Show
Kansas City at New Orleans 4:25 ET Saints (+) over Chiefs- So, quarterback Drew Brees is returning action after missing four games of which the Saints won three. Kansas City (12-1) has clinched their fifth straight AFC West title and New Orleans needs a win to clinch their fourth straight NFC South title so there should be a greater need for for the Saints. KC 0-5 ATS in their last five overall while the Saints are 6-1 ATS in their last seven games as a home underdog and 21-6 ATS in their last 27 games as an underdog. Take NEW ORLEANS! |
12-20-20 | Marquette +2.5 v. Xavier | 88-91 | Loss | -104 | 4 h 32 m | Show
Marquette at Xavier 2:00 ET Golden Eagles (+) over Musketeers- Xavier at 7-0 is unranked and haven't played a game since Dec. 9 and are off a 99-77 pounding of Oklahoma after a win at Cincinnati (which doesn't look so impressive now) and have Creighton on Wednesday. Look for the Golden Eagles to soar over the musketeers after losing last time out to Seton Hall 70-63. Take MARQUETTE! |
12-20-20 | Texans +7.5 v. Colts | 20-27 | Win | 100 | 12 h 36 m | Show
Chip's AFC Top-Rated Money Game Winner Houston at Indianapolis l1:00 ET Texans (+) over Colts- How, how can we possibly take Houston in this spot despite what we have seen in recent performances to which I say remember that no team is as bad one week to the next and no team is a good one week to the next. Indianapolis have been and looks dominate and the Texans look like they have already quit on the season but...they have not. These two met two weeks ago as Deshaun Watson fumbled from the one yard line in the final minute as the road team is now 10-2-2 ATS in the last 14 meetings. Take HOUSTON! |
12-20-20 | Bucs v. Falcons +7 | 31-27 | Win | 100 | 12 h 36 m | Show
Chip's NFC Power Play Winner Tampa Bay at Atlanta 1:00 ET Falcons (+) over Buccaneers- Tampa Bay (8-5) is sitting in the 6th spot as a playoff wildcard after having played their last three at home and are taking to the road for the first time in five weeks. Atlanta is 4-4 under interim coach Raheem Morris although his game decisions under pressure have been questioned especially after the way the Falcons' blew the game to the Chargers last week. The Buccaneers are just 1-5 ATS in their last six games following a straight-up win while the 'Dirty-Birds' are 11-5 ATS in their last 16 as home underdogs.Take ATLANTA! |
12-20-20 | Patriots +1.5 v. Dolphins | 12-22 | Loss | -110 | 12 h 35 m | Show
Chip's AFC Vegas Hotline Winner New England at Miami 1:00 ET Patriots (+) over Dolphins- Here we go again, or at least we should hear it because it happens time and again and I am talking about what Bill Belicheck does to rookie quarterbacks as witnessed by Justin Herbert three weeks ago in the Patriots 45-0 win over the Chargers. Poor Tua will try and overcome what he knows is coming but until you see it you will be exploited by the master. Take NEW ENGLAND! |
12-20-20 | Illinois v. Rutgers +2 | 88-91 | Win | 100 | 3 h 32 m | Show
Illinois at Rutgers 1:00 ET Scarlet Knights (+) over Illini- Watch out for the State University of New Jersey as they are making their mark on the gridiron in the Big Ten and now are ranked in the Top-20 at No. 19 for the first time since 1979. No. 13 Illinois was ranked No. 5 but is 5-2 and have played three ranked teams already including Baylor, Duke and Missouri. Knight good enough to win here. Take RUTGERS! |
12-19-20 | Panthers +8 v. Packers | 16-24 | Push | 0 | 19 h 29 m | Show
Carolina at Green Bay 8:15 ET Panthers (+) over Packers- Green Bay coach Matt LaFleur says that having clinched the NFC North title that 'Nothing changes in our mind'...I wonder, isn't it just human nature to take at least a sigh of relief? Carolina under first year head coach Matt Rhule is just 4-9 SU but a respectable 7-6 ATS as they have been very competitive even without their All-pro versatile running back and receiver Christian McCaffrey who has missed all but three games. The Panthers are 2-4 SU on the road but 5-1 ATS and 7-1 ATS in their last eight as underdogs. Although, the Packers are 6-2 ATS in their last eight as home favorites they are 1-5 ATS after a straight-up win. Already clinched...take CAROLINA! |
12-19-20 | Alabama v. Florida +17.5 | Top | 52-46 | Win | 100 | 19 h 26 m | Show |
Alabama vs Florida 8:00 ET Gators (+) over Crimson Tide- Alabama opened the season by allowing 24, 48, and 24 points and it was said that they had defensive weaknesses. Well, in their last six games they have allowed 17, 0, 3, 13, 17and 3 a grand total of 53 points averaging allowing 9.1 points and now they are up against a powerhouse offense. Florida who has 609 yards in offense last week in their 37-34 loss to LSU leads the nation in passing yards with 386 and the Tide are ranked No. 5 overall with 538 yards per game. The Crimson Tide are 7-0 ATS in their last seven and are 5-1 TAS in the last six meetings while Gators are 5-1 ATS in last six games as underdogs. Ebb tide as Gators chomp! Take FLORIDA! |
12-19-20 | Cincinnati -124 v. Georgia | 68-83 | Loss | -124 | 9 h 26 m | Show
Cincinnati at Georgia 8:00 ET Bearcats over Bulldogs- Now let me get this because I don't want to feel like I'm missing anything. Cincinnati is 2-3 SU I know that for sure because I checked the records and they are 1-4 ATS to boot and they are playing on the road at Georgia (5-0) who is undefeated and the Bearcats opened the favorite. This has got to be the biggest 'Don't make sense' game of the season to date. And there is one thing that you must remember when you see something like this and that is to think like a bookie. Georgia's wins are over cream puffs like Samford, Montana, North Georgia, Jacksonville and Florida A&M while the Bearcats were sparring with Take CINCINNATI! |
12-19-20 | Clemson -10 v. Notre Dame | 34-10 | Win | 100 | 15 h 25 m | Show
Clemson vs Notre Dame 4:00 ET Tigers (-) over Fighting Irish- All season long I've been saying that Notre Dame has finally reached that upper tier of teams like Alabama, Ohio State and yes even Clemson and they proved that they can play with anybody by defeating the Tigers 47-40. I believed that the public would gravitate to Clemson in the rematch because Trevor Lawrence would be back but the oddsmaker must have thought so as well making them double-digit favorites. So, my original thought that Notre Dame would sweet the series has been dashed as the public is backing the Irish. It wasn't the fact that Clemson was without Lawrence as his substitute passed for 439 yards in was a defense that allowed 208 yards rushing. Three defensive starters were out for the Tigers in that one and they are back and that might make the difference. It just seems too easy to take ND so I won't...take CLEMSON! |
12-19-20 | Air Force -138 v. Army | 7-10 | Loss | -138 | 14 h 18 m | Show
Air Force at Army 3:00 ET Falcons (-) over Cadets- There is no doubt that Army plays a ground game averaging 280 yards a game rushing but the Falcons distain the air as they are second in the nation with 336 yards on the ground per game. The Cadets are used to ending the season with the Navy game but this has been added and it's bad news for the Army. To understand what I'm getting at I'll explain how no Cadet is allowed to eat any meal at West Point without chanting, “Beat Navy”, breakfast, lunch or dinner, everyday before EVERY meal...they beat Navy last week and fall here. Take AIR FORCE! |

12-19-20 | Western Kentucky +5 v. Alabama | Top | 73-71 | Win | 100 | 3 h 28 m | Show |
Western Kentucky at Alabama 2:00 ET Hilltoppers (+) over Crimson Tide- Western Kentucky is 5-2 SU and only 2-5 ATS but have played some tough competition as their losses have come at the hands of Louisville and West Virginia while they have defeated a ranked Memphis team and Rhode Island. Alabama (4-2) has just one quality win over Providence and are 1-3-1 ATS in their last five games overall and are only 3-9-1 ATS in their last 13 home games and 2-7-1 ATS in their last 10 overall. The Hilltoppers are 6-2 ATS in their last eight road games. Take WESTERN KENTUCKY! |
12-19-20 | North Carolina v. Kentucky +3 | 75-63 | Loss | -108 | 3 h 25 m | Show
North Carolina at Kentucky 2:00 ET Wildcats (+) over Tar Heels- The two winningest schools in NCAA basketball history jump-it-up Saturday and both clubs are off to slow starts. Kentucky (1-4) won their opener against Morehead State and have dropped four straight since losing to a ranked Richmond team, a ranked Kansas, Notre Dame and Georgia Tech. The Wildcats issue is the lack of scoring as they average just 66 points shooting just 24% from behind the arc but play great defense allowing just 65 ppg. The Tar Heels have their own problems scoring as they are shooting 27% from 3-point range and just 67% from the free throw line. In need of a win take KENTUCKY! |
12-18-20 | Oregon +3.5 v. USC | Top | 31-24 | Win | 100 | 24 h 31 m | Show |
Oregon at U.S.C 8:00 ET Ducks (+3) over Trojans- Before the season started this was the match-up the experts all predicted would happen in the Pac-12 Championship Game but, it didn't happen the way that was expected. USC was unimpressive early struggling as double-digits favorites lucky just to beat ASU and a terrible Arizona team and last week they put together a miracle finish to beat and 'cover' against UCLA after trailing by 18-points late in the 3rd quarter. The Trojans were expecting to play Washington but 'you know what happened' as they aren't able to field a team. Oregon was 3-0 before dropping their last two on the road at Oregon State and California. These Ducks flew south for this game and they will crap on the Trojans! Take OREGON! |
12-18-20 | Nebraska -6.5 v. Rutgers | 28-21 | Win | 100 | 8 h 7 m | Show
Nebraska at Rutgers 7:00 ET Cornhuskers (-) over Scarlet Knights- This is the final game for both clubs in 2020 and neither team no matter who wins will still fall short of a .500 season. If you compare these two's stats they are a wash without any advantage except that Rutgers offense has scored five more points a game while allowing two more. The fact that Nebraska is favored shows the bookmaker doesn't have much faith in the Knights especially after an outright win. Cornhuskers are 4-0 lifetime against Rutgers and get one of the thumb...take NEBRASKA! |
12-18-20 | UAB +4.5 v. Marshall | 22-13 | Win | 100 | 8 h 37 m | Show
U.A.B. at Marshall 7:00 ET Blazers (+) over Thundering Herd- Marshall had their undefeated season come to an end last time out bas Rice not only won but shutout the Herd 20-0 but, that wasn't the crazy part which is that they were a 24-point beaten favorite. This is the third straight trip tp the USA Championship game for the Blazers defeating Mid Tenn 27-25 two years ago and they were swamped by Florida Atlantic 49-6 last season. The home team is 11-3 SU and 10-4 ATS in the last 14 CUSA Championship games so I am surprised the line is as low as it is. Think about it Marshall's defense is No.1 in points allowed (11.4) and No. 2 in total yards (254) and rushing yards (73). It doesn't make sense for the line to be as low considering UAB runs for an average of 198 ypg. Take the BLAZERS! |
12-17-20 | Seton Hall +4 v. Marquette | Top | 70-63 | Win | 100 | 10 h 13 m | Show |
Seton Hall at Marquette 9:00 ET Pirates (+) over Golden Eagles- After starting the season 1-3 Seton Hall has won three straight including their Big East opener a 77-68 win over St. John's last Friday and their Tuesday game against Xavier was postponed. Marquette has defeated a pair of ranked teams taking down No. 4 Wisconsin 67-65 two weeks ago and Creighton 89-84 on Monday. But, the Eagles are now favored and should have difficulty focusing and that means trouble as the Pirates have a surefire No.1 draft pick in Sandro Mamukelashvili (how 'bout dat) who posted 32 points shooting 12-of-18 with nine rebounds against a weak red Storm. Add that the road team is 21-7-1 ATS in the last 29 meetings and the underdog is 13-3 ATS in the last 16 meetings. Take SETON HALL! |
12-17-20 | Chargers +3 v. Raiders | 30-27 | Win | 100 | 9 h 29 m | Show
L.A. Chargers at Las Vegas 8:20 ET Chargers (+) over Raiders- Oh-boy, this is a tough call for a number of reasons not the least of which is that my 3-2 Fab-5 Sunday included the Raiders who were stampeded by the Colts. So, after taking them and getting trampled last week...well you know the scenario, but the oddsmaker has lost some respect for Las Vegas as this line is just so low and inviting. The Chargers won despite bonehead coach Anthony Lynn once again blowing scoring opportunities my mismanaging the clock. That makes FIVE times this season! Do you think the Raiders defense can confuse Herbert they way Belichick's defensive plan did? How could it Gruden just fired his DC after Sunday's loss. The Raiders are in such need for a win but the 'powers that be' may not care. Take the CHARGERS! |
12-17-20 | Kansas v. Texas Tech -2.5 | 58-57 | Loss | -105 | 18 h 4 m | Show
Kansas at Texas Tech 7:00 ET Red Raiders over Jayhawks- A pair of 6-1 Big-12 combatants face each other in Lubbock as No. 5 Kansas and No. 14 Texas Tech play their conference opener for the first time ever before Christmas. The Jayhawks have won six straight after losing their season opener to No. 1 Gonzaga 102-90 while the Red Raiders lost 64-53 to No. 17 Houston. Tech is 4th in the nation on defense allowing just 51.6 ppg and holding opponents to just 35% FG's. Kansas is 10-3 ATS in their last 13 road games but just 2-5 ATS after a SU win and 2-12 ATS after a win by more than 20-points (95-50 last time out). Defense is the key...take TEXAS TECH! |
12-17-20 | Creighton v. St. John's +7.5 | 94-76 | Loss | -110 | 8 h 11 m | Show
Creighton at St. John's 7:00 ET Blue Jays (-) over Red Storm- This one can get interesting as the difference in styles will have to give at one time or another. St. John's is a more free-wheeling club that will press you on defense while the Bluejays will be more methodical as they commit fewer turnovers than most averaging just 9.5 but the Storm for 19 turnovers a game so it will be a battle of strengths. What it comes down to here is 'pressure defense' will wear down especially a road team playing just their second road game. Johnnies rebound from OT Georgetown loss. Take ST. JOHN'S! |
12-16-20 | Duke -3 v. Notre Dame | Top | 75-65 | Win | 100 | 10 h 57 m | Show |
Duke at Notre Dame 9:00 ET Fighting Irish over Blue Devils- It's bad enough that No. 21 Duke is 2-2 but, to be 0-4 ATS has the alumni grumbling and having lost to a pair of Big Ten teams falling to Michigan State and Illinois at home. The Blue Devils take to the road for the first time against a Notre Dame team off a 64-63 win over Kentucky scoring just 16 points in the second have hanging on for the win. The Fighting Irish also lost to a pair of Big Ten powers MSU and Ohio State and this will be this their fourth game against a ranked opponent as they go 0-4. It's a difficult task for a 'Devil' to win at this Catholic venue even if it's Blue but coach 'K' has made deals with the 'Devil' before. Take DUKE! |
12-16-20 | Ohio State v. Purdue -4.5 | Top | 60-67 | Win | 100 | 8 h 56 m | Show |
Ohio State at Purdue 7:00 ET Boilermakers (+) over Buckeyes- This is another unusual situation where we an undefeated ranked team No. 20 Ohio State (5-0) an underdog against a two loss club. Purdue (4-2) lost twice on the road against Clemson and at Miami but are a perfect 4-0 at home against inferior competition but are also 6-2 ATS in their last eight home games against teams with winning records. The Buckeyes have winning trends all over the board but one spot, they are just 20-45 ATS on the road against winning teams above .600. It's the BOILERMAKERS! |
12-16-20 | TCU +5 v. Oklahoma State | 77-76 | Win | 100 | 8 h 55 m | Show
TCU at Oklahoma State Horned Frogs (+) over Cowboys- Oklahoma State (6-0) is one of the hottest teams in the country having won 11 straight dating back to last season including their final three conference game. The Cowboys have also had an edge over the Horned frogs winning the last two and eight of the past nine at home. TCU who has struggled on the road 2-8 ATS L-10 do rise when playing better clubs with .600 winning % but still just 6-13 ATS after a SU win. OkSt just 1-4 ATS last five at home. Take HORNED FROGS! |
12-15-20 | Georgia Tech +8.5 v. Florida State | Top | 61-74 | Loss | -109 | 8 h 41 m | Show |
Georgia Tech at Florida State 8:30 ET Yellow Jackets (+) over Seminoles- One of the biggest and least known home-court advantages belongs to Florida State who is 3-0 this season and have a 26-game winning streak when playing as hosts and a has won 68-of-71 home games. One of those wins came against Clemson (2-2) who dropped a 70-58 decision in Tallahassee last season and have lost 14 of the last 16 meetings overall. But, the Tigers are 12-4 ATS in their last 16 road games and 10-4 ATS as road underdogs. Add that the road team is 12-5 ATS in the last 17 meetings and the underdog is 21-9 ATS in the last 30 meetings. After losing their first two the Yellow Jackets have bounced back with wins over Kentucky and Nebraska as their defense was the key factor. Take GEORGIA TECH! |
12-15-20 | Minnesota v. Illinois -8 | 65-92 | Win | 100 | 6 h 6 m | Show
Minnesota at Illinois 7:00 ET Illini (-) over Golden Gophers- No. 13 Illinois (4-2) host undefeated and unranked Minnesota (6-0) who will be playing their first road game of the season. Golden Gophers' coach Rich Pitino has the offense (84.2) cooking but will still have to go a bit as Illinois is scoring at an 88 point clip. The Illini return home where they won their first three before going 1-2 on a three game road trip losing to Baylor and Missouri on Saturday. Sad numbers for Minnesota as they are 2-6-2 ATS after a SU win and 1-4-1 ATS in last six as underdogs while the Illini are 7-2 ATS after a SU loss. Add that the home team is 4-0 ATS in the last four meetings and the favorite is 23-9 ATS in the last 32 meetings. Take ILLINOIS! |
12-15-20 | Clemson v. Virginia Tech -120 | 60-66 | Win | 100 | 6 h 38 m | Show
Clemson at Virginia Tech 6:30 ET Hokies over Tigers- Undefeated but unranked Clemson (5-0) enters Blacksburg having yet to play a true road game. Defense has been the key for the Tigers who have held opponents to 35% shooting and only 51.4ppg ranking 4th in the nation. Virginia Tech is off a 75-55 beating at home by Penn State and has had a week to fix their offensive issues. ATS these two are on opposite side of the spectrum as the Tigers are 20-8 ATS after a SU win while Tech is 5-16 ATS in their last 21 games overall but the home team is 3-1-1 ATS in the last five meetings. Take VIRGINIA TECH! |
12-14-20 | Marquette +7.5 v. Creighton | Top | 89-84 | Win | 100 | 21 h 49 m | Show |
Marquette at Creighton 9:00 ET Golden Eagles (+) over Blue Jays- Marquette was short-handed when they fell 69-60 at UCLA Friday night as they had numerous players either out or hampered and used several line-ups had little practice time and committed 18 turnovers. Creighton just destroyed intra-state rival Nebraska using a 30-7 surge leading to a 98-74 victory while forcing 25 turnovers. The Bluejays had an incredible shooting night scoring on 10 straight possessions and hitting 17-of-24 during one stretch while the former 'Warriors' were 4-of-20 from 3-point range against the Bruins including 0-for-11 in the second half. Take MARQUETTE! |
12-14-20 | Nevada v. San Diego +3.5 | 79-72 | Loss | -109 | 21 h 46 m | Show
Nevada at San Diego 9:00 ET Toreros (+) over Wolf Pack- It looks like the oddsmakers have done their homework because San Diego was one of the worst teams in the entire west and were just 2-14 in WCC one of the weakest conferences the country. Nevada has six games under their belts (4-2) while the Toreros are 0-1 having had the pleasure of opening at UCLA and getting crushed shooting under 30%. But, the 'books' opened this one at -3.5 and I believe I understand what they know. San Diego coach Sam Scholl has brought in three NCAA transfers from Missouri, Rice, W. Illinois and Duquesne and they are expected to have a major impact on the program's basketball team. The 'Book's believe it look at that 'number.' Take SAN DIEGO! |
12-14-20 | Ravens v. Browns +3 | 47-42 | Loss | -100 | 8 h 18 m | Show
Baltimore at Cleveland 8:15 ET Browns over Ravens- The Browns who haven't been to the playoffs in 17 years had such fanfare and expectations entering their season opener at Baltimore only to receive a reality check as the veteran playoff Ravens destroyed them 38-6. A convincing win as it was Lamar Jackson who passed for 275 yards and three TD's while the Browns offense scored just once. But after a 5-1 start the 'Black Birds' have lost four of five while Cleveland has won 8-of-10 as Baker Mayfield has held it all together. Browns with best 1-2 punch in the NFL with their running duo of Chubb and Hunt. Take CLEVELAND! |
12-14-20 | Rutgers +2.5 v. Maryland | 74-60 | Win | 100 | 18 h 54 m | Show
Rutgers at Maryland 6:00 ET Scarlet Knights (+) over Terrapins- No. 21 Rutgers (4-0) takes their undefeated record and Top-25 ranking into College Park for their first road game of the season. Maryland (4-1) was handed their first loss at Clemson last time out in their first road game of the year as they scored only 15 points in the first half. Both clubs had stellar season's last year as the Terrapins shared the Big Ten title and the Scarlet Knights won their most conference games in 17 years going 11-9. The 'Jersey Boys' have four starters in double-figures including Ron Harper Jr. who leads both clubs with 26 points per. Take RUTGERS! |
12-13-20 | Steelers +2.5 v. Bills | 15-26 | Loss | -110 | 8 h 53 m | Show
Pittsburgh at Buffalo 8:20 ET Steelers (+) over Bills- I know how impressive the Bills looked the Monday night dominating San Francisco and how lackluster Pittsburgh looked in losing their first game to Washington after getting out to a 14-0 lead before starting to take things during the game for granted and blowing numerous opportunities. Part of the problem for the Steelers was the lack of a running game as they ran for just 21 yards last week and just 68 the week before against the Ravens. James Conner who missed the last two games will return and help make the difference and Big Ben's pride will outshine Josh Allen. Take PITTSBURGH! |
12-13-20 | Saints v. Eagles +8 | 21-24 | Win | 100 | 17 h 3 m | Show
New Orleans at Philadelphia 4:25 ET Eagles (+) over Saints- This is the most improbable 'side' on the entire board as the Saints have won nine straight and the grounded Eagles are changing quarterbacks. Philadelphia will have Jalen Hurts under center for the first time in his career while Tayson Hill gets his fourth start while Brees' banged up ribs heal. The Eagles are the club of the two that is known for their defense but it is New Orleans that has the No. 2 defense allowing just 288 ypg which plays into the 'Birds' No. 29 offense with 319 ypg. The 'Wild Card' here is Hurts who is not known for his passing (5-12, 109y last week) but will present a different look and hey Carson Wentz had 15 Ints and 3 fumbles and the kicker is that the Saints have already clinched a playoff berth and the have a look-ahead game with Kansas City next week, Take PHILADELPHIA! |
12-13-20 | Colts v. Raiders +3 | 44-27 | Loss | -108 | 17 h 38 m | Show
Indianapolis at Las Vegas 4:05 ET Raiders (+) over Colts- In the scheme of things this is a playoff game for Las Vegas. A loss here would make it virtually impossible for them to qualify for the postseason. As it is the Raiders are fortunate to still be alive as their 'hail-Mary' win over the Jets last week may have saved their season if the win here. Vegas has had the issues with injuries and the virus but this week it have five Colts that have missed practice including Philip Rivers. Jon Gruden has brought the Raiders along and will create win havoc on defense to take advantage of 'Philips Floaters' and get at least a pair of picks. Take LAS VEGAS! |
12-13-20 | Cardinals -2.5 v. Giants | 26-7 | Win | 100 | 14 h 37 m | Show
Arizona at New York Giants 1:00 ET Cardinals over Giants- This is one of those 'Go figure' games. Here we have the New York Football Giants winners of four straight games and probably the hottest team in the NFL (oops Saints have won 9) up against a fading team's who's only win in their last five games came a 'Hail-Mary pass' on the final play against Buffalo when they didn't even attempt the extra-point they have failed to 'cover' the spread. And Arizona is favored at New York! Daniel Jones' Locker returns Sunday and he should give the Giants' 32nd rated offense some sort of lift. He will help, but the Cardinals average 390 ppg and are 9-4-2 ATS on the road scoring 28 ppg while 'Little Blue' is 30th with 19 ppg and are 3-12 ATS as home underdogs. Take ARIZONA! |
12-13-20 | Vikings +7.5 v. Bucs | 14-26 | Loss | -123 | 13 h 28 m | Show
Minnesota at Tampa Bay 1:00 ET Vikings (+) over Buccaneers- These two qualify for the final NFL playoff spots with Tampa Bay (7-5) holding on to the sixth spot and Minnesota (6-6) a game behind. The Bucs expected a big boost on offense with the addition of Brady and other weapons but they are still just middle of the pack at 18th with 363 ypg. It has been the Tampa defense that has held them together ranking No.1 against the run and No. 7 overall. The Vikings shine on offense with 390 ypg and just under 150 rushing yards and will match the Bucs rushing defense with Delvin Cook who has 1135 yards at 5.0 an attempt. These two match-up right and it should come down to a one possession game. Take MINNESOTA! |
12-13-20 | Texans v. Bears +2 | 7-36 | Win | 100 | 13 h 24 m | Show
Houston at Chicago 1:00 ET Bears (+) over Texans- The Houston is an embarrassment and own the entire state of Texas an apology! So, here are the 4-8 Texans -2.5 at Chicago favored against the 5-7 Bears who have dropped six straight. These teams are so bad and so evenly matched with Houston having the No. 30 defense allowing 406 ypg while the Bears offense is also ranked 30th with just 312 ypg. The Texans offense averages 364 ypg while Chicago allows 354 ypg. So, why even take a side when they both suck. Well, a wise man once said to me there's got to be a winner and I know it is NOT Houston! Take CHICAGO! |
12-12-20 | Virginia v. Virginia Tech -137 | 15-33 | Win | 100 | 19 h 48 m | Show
Virginia at Virginia Tech 8:00 ET Hokies over Cavaliers- After opening the season with a win over Duke the Cavaliers lost four straight and then on Halloween night the upset North Carolina and have won their last four coming into Blacksburg. On the other side Virginia Tech has now dropped five straight and have had off field issues including the virus to deal with. The Hokies have had the best of this series and are 11-5 ATS in the last 16 meetings and somehow come up the favorite here. The home team is 6-1 ATS in the last seven meetings...take VIRGINIA TECH! |
