Las Vegas at Phoenix 6:00 ET

Aces (+) over Mercury - Las Vegas who played for the WNBA Championship last season losing to New York and won it all the year before have dropped under .500 for the fourth time this season after their home loss to Washington (Power Play winner) Thursday. Phoenix is on a six game win streak which includes a 76-70 win at Las Vegas as a 4.5-point favorite. Aces dealing from strength with the return if 3-time MVP A’ja Wilson and the motivation of getting to the break even mark again and a bit of early season payback. Take LAS VEGAS!

LA Dodgers at Kansas City 2:10 ET

Royals over Dodgers - After scoring just four runs in six games while losing all six Kansas City finally got some hits and scored a 9-5 victory yesterday over the Dodgers. The Royals will send out Kris Bubic (6-5, 2.18 ERA) to the mound and he has been outstanding this season having his best career year to this point already matching their single season win total. Los Angeles has no listed a starter and although the Royals are just 4-18 at home since May 9 including yesterday’s win. Sunday they make it two in-a-row. Take KANSAS CITY!

Philadelphia at Atlanta 1:23 ET

Braves over Phillies - Atlanta keeps trotting along and the media is waiting for them to get to .500 so the can hype their chances, but, they fought back from 0-7 and reached the breakwater mark before and then fell 10 games under within two weeks. Philadelphia has moved into first place in the NL East by default as the Mets have lost 13 of the last 16 and it doesn’t take much to gain on that. The Phillies are starting Ranger Suarez (6-2, 2.09 ERA) and he has been stellar in 10 starts allowing only 51 hits in 65 innings with only four HR’s. His lifetime mark against Atlanta is 3-4 with an 3.71 ERA in 20 appearances the last 10 as a  starter. Spence Strider (3-5, 4.04) lost his first five decisions and has put together a three game win streak that he will improve on today. Take ATLANTA!

Washington at Dallas 8:00 ET

Wings (+) over Mystics - I am not pleased with the play Dallas nor their nickname! Wings what is that? So far the Wings have been clipped winning just four of 17 match-ups this season. Even with No. 1 overall draft pick Paige Bueckers leading he team with 18.4 points per game they are just 7-10 ATS. Washington has won their last three and four straight against the Wings. Dallas (+6) lost in OT 91-88 but covered six days ago and this time the Wings play ‘up’ to a higher level. Take DALLAS!

Chicago Cubs at Houston 7:15 ET

Cubs over Astros - The Astros started the season slowly but have picked up momentum and are now 16 games over .500 while the Cubs who are 14 games above .500 have been consistent all year and are 14 games over .500. Colin Rea (4-3, 4.42 ERA) gets the nod for Chicago and has knocked around a bit this year surrendering 10 more hits than innings pitched including giving up 13 home runs. Lance McCullers (1-2, 4.91) is starting for Houston and he is struggling with arm problems and control issues. Tke CHICAGO CUBS!

Toronto at Boston 4:10 ET

Red Sox over Blue Jays - Toronto has had their way against Boston the past two years having won the last three meetings and seven of nine including a 9-0 beating last night. The Red Sox will send veteran and often injured Lucas Giolito (3-1, 4.53 ERA) who has pitched with four different team the past two seasons. Toronto will send out Chris Bassitt (7-3, 3.61) and he is 2-2 lifetime with an ERA of 2.32 in eight appearances having lost his last two decisions. Take BOSTON!

Tampa Bay at Baltimore 4:05 ET

Orioles over Rays - The Orioles who just two short seasons ago had the best record of all of baseball but, it appears that the window of opportunity for Baltimore has closed. Friday the O’s scored 22 runs after trailing 6-0 and have gained confidence and momentum. usually after a team has an offensive outburst like they had I look to play against them but this was an uplifting win. Take BALTIMORE!

Seattle at Texas 8:05 ET

Mariners over Rangers - Seattle lost to Texas in May ending a five game series winning streak but have still won 8-of-the-10 meetings. The Mariners will send Logan Gilbert (2-2, 3.12 ERA) to the hill and in just eight starts he has allowed just 29 hits in 40 innings with 60 strikeouts with just seven base-on-balls. Texas will send Nathan Eovaldi (5-0, 2.95) to the mound and he is 2-4, with an ERA of 5.31 in 12 appearances against the Mariners while Gilbert is 5-2, with a 2.54 ERA in 14 games against the Rangers. Take SEATTLE!

Minnesota at Atlanta 7:30 ET

Dream over Lynx - Minnesota started their season by winning their first nine games played gaining attention from the rest of the league. Since that quick get away they have dropped a pair including a 68-64 loss at Washington in on Tuesday. Atlanta is also off of a loss road loss to bottom feeder Dallas 68-55 as the Dream had their worst shooting night of the season making just 23.4 percent from the field. Returning home to face the league’s leading squad the Dream wake up and shock Minnesota. Take ATLANTA!

Toronto at Boston 7:10 ET

Red Sox over Blue Jays - Boston just completed a nine-game road trip by losing the final five games getting swept by the Angels. With a day off to regroup Boston will send Brayan Bello (3-2, 3.31 ERA) to the hill. In his last four starts Bello has pitched at least six innings with an EA of 2.49. Toronto is to start Jose Berrios (3-3, 3.51) who is 5-6 3.60 lifetime against the Red Sox, Valdimir Guerrero is questionable because of an injured fingered. Take BOSTON!

Tampa Bay at Baltimore 7:05 ET

Orioles over Rays - I can’t stand it…this Rays drive team me nuts because I just do not see how they win. And that is what they do year after year while I expect them to fold each season and right now they have the best record in baseball the past month and are a plus $1,032 at $100 a game. Tampa will start Ryan Pepiot (5-6, 3.04 ERA) gets the nod for the Rays while Baltimore will send out 35-year old rookie Tomoyuki Sugano (5-4, 3.55) when has pitched well for this struggling bird team except for allowing 14 homers. Still, take BALTIMORE!

Washington at Las Vegas 10:00 ET

Aces (-) over Mystics - Las Vegas has struggled early this season as 3-time MVP A’ja Wilson was sidelined and the club that has played in the past two WNBA Championship Finals. Las t night as a Power Play winner Las Vegas posted their largest margin of victory of the season with an 85-59 pounding of Connecticut. Washington will be without their leading scorer Brittney Sykes and that will be too much to overcome. Take LAS VEGAS!

Atlanta at New York Mets 7:10 ET

Braves over Mets - Over the years Atlanta has had their way against the Mets continuing this season as well winning the first six meetings before New York posted a 7-3 win yesterday. Griffin Canning (7-3, 3.91 ERA) will get the start for the Mets and he has already matched his single season win record with seven and I expect a little regression here. The Braves send out Grant Holmes (4-6, 3.71) who against New York has one appearance allowing just one hit in four scoreless innings. Take ATLANTA!

Connecticut at Las Vegas 10:00 ET

Aces (-) over Sun - These two meet in Connecticut five weeks ago and Las Vegas routed the Sun 87-62 and since that day they are just 3-8 ATS including their win last time out over Indiana. The Aces are looking to improve their play with 3-time MVP A’ja Wilson’s return to the lineup. Connecticut opened the year with five straight losses and right now they are in the mist of a six game winning streak. Wilson leads the Aces in scoring with 21.1 points and 9.8 rebounds a game and that will put them over the hump. Take LAS VEGAS!

Toronto at Cleveland 6:40 ET

Blue Jays over Watch Dogs - Toronto’s Max Scherzer (0-0, 6.00 ERA) is back in action tonight after a pair of rehab starts at Triple-A Buffalo throwing 8 2/3 innings allowing just two runs. He struck out 12 and walked only two and held opponents to a .167 batting average and is 9-5 with an ERA of 4.05 in 21 appearances. Cleveland will start Gavin Williams (5-3, 3.58) who dominated the Blue Jays although he has only two career outings he struck out 21 in 11 innings with a 1.64 ERA. Great numbers but not today. Take TORONTO!

Minnesota at Washington 8:00 ET

Mystics (+) over Lynx - Washington via three first round draft picks are by far the youngest team in the WNBA. Rookie Brittney Skyes is the Mystics leading scorer while Sonia Citron and Kiki Iriafen have added a fresh’ attitude that has improved their overall play. Minnesota has wrapped up an appearance in the Commissioner’s Cup and will be without the leagues leading scorer in Napheesa Collier who was out with a back injury. Difficult to recover from the Mystics take advantage! Take WASHINGTON!

Seattle at Minnesota 7:40 ET

Twins over Mariners - Minnesota is in the middle of a terrible slump that has seen them lose their last four games and 10 of their past 11. In their last four games they have surrendered 46 runs while scoring just 16 getting outscored 12.5 runs to four runs a game. Seattle has won the last three meetings but the Twins had won five of six meetings before this season began. Seattle will send Luis Castillo (4-5, 3.38 ERA) who is 1-2 with a 4.32 ERA lifetime against the Twins. Minny will counter with Chris Paddack (3-6, 4.48) who is 4-1 with a 2.17 ERA against the Mariners. Take MINNESOTA!

Atlanta at New York Mets 7:10 ET

Braves over Mets - Atlanta it seems has always had a mastery over the Mets going back to the days of Chipper Jones when the New York faithful tried to unnerve ole Larry who responded by just annihilating Mets pitching. The Mets 1-9 in their last 10 games overall and have dropped five straight to the Braves and 8-of-9. New York will give Frankie Montas his first start of the season after a posting a 12.05 ERA in rehab starts. He is 0-0 with an ERA of 7.56 against the Braves. Atlanta starter Spencer Strider (2-5, 3.89 ERA) is rounding into form and he is 5-1 lifetime against the Mets. Take ATLANTA!

Toronto at Cleveland 6:40 ET

Blue Jays over Naps - Cleveland has gotten the best of the series between these two having won the last two meetings this season and are 5-of-6 and 7-of-10 over the Blue Jays. In a duel between left-handers Ohio born Eric Lauer (3-1, 2.29 ERA) will get the start for Toronto and Logan Allen (5-4, 4.21) will climb the hill for Cleveland. Allen is 1-2 with a 4.12 ERA against the Blue Jays while Lauer has won his past two starts. Take TORONTO!

Texas at Baltimore 6:35 ET

Orioles over Rangers - To date these are a pair of the more disappointing clubs if you are willing to wager on them everyday. Texas who two short years ago won the World Series is at a minus $890 while Baltimore is a minus $1,206 at $100 wager per game. It looked like the Orioles were about to make their move winning six of eight and then came the series at Yankee Stadium where they dropped their last two games. The Rangers have been nothing special since their championship run and will use veteran Patrick Corbin (4-6, 3.91 ERA) who’s career record against Baltimore is 1-5 with an ERA of 5.21 in nine appearances. The Orange birds will send out Trevor Rodgers (0-0, 3.12) who is 0-1 with a 4.38 ERA in just 12 innings work. Take BALTIMORE!

Indiana at Oklahoma City 8:00 ET

Pacers over Thunder - Well, here it is, Game seven of the NBA Championship and I heard from some experts out in Las Vegas that Indiana is the worst team to ever reach the Finals.  Now, I haven't seen all the NBA Finals match-ups but I assure you that any team that can take Oklahoma City to the limit is not the worst of anything. But, the Pacers have to face the fact that the Home team in NBA Game Seven has won 15 of 19 times. The Thunder are 10-2 at home during the playoffs and have not lost two in-a-row during the playoffs and lost two in-a-row only twice all season. Take OKLAHOMA CITY!

Kansas City at San Diego 4:10 ET

Royals over Pades - Kansas City will start Seth Lugo (4-5, 3.05 ET) and against the Padres in 12 career appearances is 2-0 with a 3.00 ERA. Last night San Diego defeated the Royals and snapped their four game winning streak.  The Padres will send out Randy Vasquez (3-4, 3.70) who hasn’t taken a start (15 of them) beyond five innings. Look for the Royals to rebound and get the win. Take KANSAS CITY!

Indiana at Las Vegas 3:00 ET

Aces (+) over Fever- The legend of Indiana’s Caitlin Clark continues to grow as the best player that the WNBA has ever seen comes to Las Vegas where legends are made. The Fever are 2-1 since the return of Clark after five game rest while the Aces who make it to the WNBA title game last season and won it all in 2023-24. Las Vegas (5-7) has seen the return of A’ja Wilson and lost last time out anyway. In typical Vegas style the Aces are 0-6 ATS in he past six and 2-8 ATS in their last 10 games overall. But, the Aces Have defeated the Fever 10 straight times. Take LAS VEGAS!

Milwaukee at Minnesota 2:10 ET

Twins over Brewers - In five seasons since leaving the Chicago Cubs. the Brewers starting pitcher Jose Quintana (4-2, 3.35 ERA has pitched for six teams and posted just one winning season (3-2 in ‘22 with Cardinals). Jose is 8-8with a 3.96 ERA in 22 appearances. Minnesota is sending Simeon Woods Richardson (2-3, 5.13) had his beat outing of the year last time out shutting out Houston over five innings allowing just one hit. SWR hasn’t won since April 26 and is in a great sot for the Twins. Take MINNESOTA!

Phoenix at Chicago 1:00 ET

Mercury (-) over Sky - ‘One man’s meat I another man’s poison’…unfortunately this is the WNBA not the NBA although the macho-ism in this women’s league out of control. But, that being said the lowly Sky commit a league high 18.7 turnovers a game and Phoenix just forced the defending Champions Liberty into 20 turnovers in Thursday’s win in New York. While Chicago is struggling losing four their last five the Mercury have won four straight in this series and overall. Take PHOENIX!

Cleveland at West Sacramento 10;05 ET

A’s over Watch Dogs - This will be just the second time that I have posted the A’s as a selection and I only hope that this time it turns out better for us. Cleveland will start Tanner Bibee (4-6, 3.79 ERA) and he is amid a four-game winless streak and he is 1-0 with a 4.56 ERA in two starts against the A’s. Jeffrey Springs (5-5, 4.52) start for the home team and he has gone six starts without a victory although he is 0-1 with a 2.63 ERA in four appearances against the former Tribesman. Take A’S!

Seattle at Las Vegas 10:00 ET

Storm over Aces- These two clubs have records that are a mirror of each other as Seattle has won four of five while Las Vegas has dropped four of their last five. The Aces have just one win in the month of June and have gone 0-5 ATS since their win at Seattle the 1st of the month 75-70 as a 3-point favorite. The Aces blew a 14-point first half lead at Minnesota Tuesday and didn’t even cover the 13.5-points that they were receiving. Without All-star A’ja Wilson Las Vegas is committing too many turnovers having 61 in their past three games. Take SEATTLE!

Indiana at Oklahoma City 8:30 ET

Thunder (-) over Pacers - As old Dandy Don used to sing, the ‘party’s over sweet darling.’ Oklahoma City blew past the Pacers in Game 5 of this best of seven series and now lead 3-2 with their improbable wins and cover in Games 4 & 5. It looked as though the Thunder would fall behind 3-1 in games to Indiana (a 7-1 underdog) but no. The Pacers have to be down trodden after blowing their lead in game four and for the first time they don’t hold a 3-1 series lead. The mine set for the Pacers has been completely altered. with or without Tyrese Haliburton this game ends the series. Thunder get serious here. Take OKLAHOMA CITY!

Baltimore at Tampa Bay 7:35 ET

Orioles over Rays - Talk about blowing leads, the Orioles scored eight runs in the second inning yesterday and did not score again and Tampa Bay plated 12 runs and posted their largest comeback win in franchise history. Today, Tampa Bay who has won 20 of 27 games will send Drew Rasmussen (6-4, 2.55 ERA) to the hill and he is 2-0 with a 2.89 EAR in eight appearances against the Orioles. The O’s will start Greg Morton (3-7, 6.05) who started 0-7 with an ERA of 9.38 and has now won his last three starts with an ERA of 2.45. Take BALTIMORE!

Kansas City at Texas 8:05 ET

Royals over Rangers - Kansas City won for just the second time in 10 outings yesterday defeating Texas 6-1 ending a six game losing streak. The Royals will send Kris Bubic (5-4, 1.92 ERA) to the mound and he has been outstanding this season. In the past three season’s he has won just four while losing 16. But, his ERA has been lowered by almost a full run every year since 2022. Veteran Patrick Corbin (4-5, 3.66) will start for the Rangers and he hasn’t had a winning season since 2019. Take KANSAS CITY!

Baltimore at Tampa Bay 7:35 ET

Orioles over Rays - I love this kind of situation, where a veteran pitcher returns to the ‘Big’s after a poor rehab performance in the minors (Norfolk) where he went 0-3 with a 5:45 ERA. Trevor Rogers (0-0. 0.00 ERA) gets the nod and he has a 3.00 ERA with no decisions against the Rays while Tampa Bay starter Tai Bradley (4-5, 4.35 ERA) is 1-2 with a 6.52 ERA against the Orioles. Take BALTIMORE!

Arizona at Toronto 7:05 ET

Diamondbacks over Blue Jays - Yesterday, Toronto may have wont the battle in their 5-4 win over Arizona but they lost a pair of center fielders to injury last night. They already had their starting center fielder sidelined and thing are getting pretty thin. The Snakes will send Eduardo Rodriguez (2-3, 6.77 ERA) to the hill and he is 5-6 with an ERA of 4.97 in 18 games against the Blue Jays while the host club will start Eric Lauer (2-1, 2.37) and he is 3-4 lifetime against the D’backs. Take ARIZONA!

Las Vegas at Minnesota 8:00 ET

Aces (+) over Lynx - Minnesota at 10-1 is off to their best start in franchise history and host Las Vegas the WNBA’s 2023 Champion. The Aces (5-5) who lost in the Finals last season and won it all the year before has a whole different chemistry this season. Their first problem for Las Vegas is that 3-time MVP A’ja Wilson is sidelined. Just 2-3 SU on the road and having lost their last four games against the spread I see them rebounding here. take LAS VEGAS!

Baltimore at Tampa Bay 7:35 ET

Orioles over Rays - Tampa Bay has won the past three meetings including a 7-1 victory on Monday and have won their last four and six of the last eight games overall. Yesterday’s loss to the Rays ended Baltimore’s mini 3-game winning streak. Today, the Orioles send Dean Kremer (5-7, 4.99 ERA) to the mound and he is 2-1 with a 2.31 ERA lifetime against the Rays. Zack Littell (6-6, 3.84) gets the nod for the Rays and he is 1-2 with a 2.73 ERA against the O’s. This time it is BALTIMORE!   

Minnesota at Cincinnati 7:10 ET

Twins over Reds - These two mid-tier clubs are just a half-game apart with Cincinnati being two games over .500 while Minnesota is one-game over the break even mark. The Reds will start Andrew Abbott (6-1, 1.87 ERA) and he is off of his first complete game shutout allowing just three hits in Cleveland one week ago. Minnesota will counter with David Festa (1-1, 4.76) and will will help end the Twins four game slide. Take MINNESOTA!

Arizona at Toronto 7:05 ET

Diamondbacks 0ver Blue Jays - Arizona missed sweeping their six game home stand as they fell Sunday to San Diego. The Diamondbacks will send Brandon Pfaadt (8-4, 5.50 ERA) to the mound while Toronto will send veteran Chris Bassitt (7-3, 3.70) to the bump. The Blue Jays have scored just six runs in their last three games and the D’backs are warming up in the desert. Take ARIZONA!

Marlins over Phillies - Miami of all clubs has won three straight games all wins over Washington after having being swept three games at home by Colorado. The Marlins will send former Cy Young award winner Sandy Alcantara (3-7, 7.14 ERA) who posted two straight quality starts after gone eight straight non-quality starts where he surrendered 41 runs in just 35.1 innings. He has also struggled against the Phillies having lost his last five decisions against them and eight of nine. But, in his last two starts has thrown consecutive quality starts allowing just two runs in his past 12 innings giving up just seven hits. Take MIAMI!

Phoenix at Las Vegas 6:00 ET

Mercury (-) over Aces - The Aces aren’t dealing with a hand as strong as it may appear. With Phoenix coming into Tinsel Town Las Vegas is shorthanded as Three-time MVP A’ja Wilson is in concussion protocol. Things change quickly in the WNBA, the last six times that Phoenix visited Las Vegas they were underdogs of +13.5, +16.5, +21, +17.5, +18 and +17. Sunday, they are favored! Aces will be defeated by a pair returning players into action for the Mercury. Take PHOENIX!

San Diego at Arizona  4:10 ET

Padres over Diamondbacks - San Diego’s Nick Pivetta has faced division opponents San Francisco and Los Angeles his last two times out and they knocked him around for five runs each. Now, he’s up against division for Arizona who he hasn’t faced since 2023 with Boston  he has 14 strikeouts in 11.2 innings against them. The D’backs Merrill Kelly (6-2, 3.18) has been as sharp as ever not giving up a run in his last two starts against Seattle and Atlanta going 13 total innings with 15 K’s and just five hits. They both come back to the middle. Take SAN DIEGO!

Cleveland at Seattle 9:40 ET

Mariners over Watchdogs - Both of these clubs are hovering around .500 with them being just one-game apart. Although their record are similar the bookies with their lines have Cleveland up about $200 and the Mariners down $225 for the year. Seattle is sliding having lost three straight and eight of nine and will send George Kirby (1-3, 6.53 ERA) up against Tanner Bibee (4-6, 3.81). Both of these throwers have struggled this season to date and look to turn things around right now. Kirby won his last time out after starting the year with three straight losses. Take SEATTLE!

New York at Indiana 3:00 ET

Fever (+) over Liberty - Undefeated New York (9-0) will try and remain perfect (4-0) on the road at Indiana. The Fever who have been without WNBA Super Star Caitlin Clark for five games shall see her return to action tonight. They were 2-3 without Clark and welcome her return against the defending WNBA Champions. This is the second meeting of the season between these two and New York squeezed out  a 90-88 win as the Fever won our first Megabucks winner +2.5. This time I expect the Fever to win outright but I always take the points. Take INDIANA!

Dallas at Las Vegas 10:00 ET

Wings (+) over Aces - Dallas have lost six straight games and even with the return to the line-up of their No. 1 overall draft pick back Paige Bueckers in action the Wings were trounced on the road last time out. Las Vegas is another story as they after falling to New York in the WNBA Championship Finals last year and have just not been the same this season. The Aces will be without 3-time MVP A’ja Wilson due to injury. Take DALLAS!

San Diego at Arizona 9:40 ET

Diamondbacks over Padres - Arizona has won seven of their last 10 games and will send out Ryan Nelson (3-3, 4.60 ERA) to the hill and he will be opposed by Padres right-hander Stephen Kolek (3-1, 3.00). San Diego have won 11 of 19 (not so special) since losing six straight. The D’backs have won three straight and this will be their fourth. Take ARIZONA!

Oklahoma City at Indiana 8:30 ET

Pacers (+) over Thunder - Oklahoma City is 4-4 on the playoff road straight-up but against the number they are 0-8 and are still looking for their first road ATS win. Indiana has done an amazing job at coming from behind with more fourth quarter come back victories then ever established in the NBA playoffs. The Thunder have set more playoff scoring margin records that and team in NBA history and the have not lost consecutive road games in the playoffs. Take OKLAHOMA CITY!

Montreal at Ottawa 7:30 ET

Redblacks (+) over Alouettes - Montreal has won eight straight in the series between these two clubs including five straight covers and are 7-1 ATS. The Alouettes started the season with an impressive 28-10 win over Toronto at home last Friday. Ottawa the night before was defeated by Saskatchewan 31-26 in a contest that wasn’t that close with the Redblacks scoring late and they do have momentum. Take OTTAWA!

St. Louis at Milwaukee 7:40 ET

Cardinals over Brewers - I like this opportunity to play on Cardinals Sonny Gray (7-1, 3.35 ERA) who might be one of the toughest right-handers to hit against with 81 K’s in 75 innings allowing only 70 hits. His mound opponent will be Jacob Misiorowski (who s making his MLB debut. He should learn a lot watching Gray. The Red Birds are a half game ahead of the Brewers. Take  ST LOUIS!

Minnesota at Seattle 10:00 ET

Storm (+) over Lynx - Minnesota (9-0) and New York (8-0) are the two remaining undefeated WNBA teams and both are in action tonight. Seattle (5-4) will be trying to even the season series as they fell to the Lynx (82-77) at their place two weeks ago. Oklahoma City at Indiana 8:30 ET

Pacers (+) over Thunder - Without a doubt Oklahoma City has been the most dominant team in the NBA this season winning by unheard of margins in both the regular and post seasons. Indiana has match the Thunder game for game since mid January and have proven to be a team that you can never count out. OKC is an incredible 63-34-4 ATS from the season opener up till today including 36-11 SU on the road. But, the playoff road is not an easy path the are 4-3 straight-up in seven road game but are 0-7 against the spread…0-7 ATS on the playoff road. Take OKLAHOMA CITY!

Detroit at Baltimore 6:35 ET

Orioles over Tigers - This has got to be my first MLB ‘Don’t Make Sense’ winner of the year. Here we have Detroit 20-games over .500 sending out ace Casey Mize (6-1, 2.91 ERA) to face a struggling Orioles club that is 13-games under .500. The Tigers score more than a run a game more than Baltimore and allow almost TWO runs less each game. The O’s will send Zach Eflin (5-2, 4.47) and he has won his past two starts. take BALTIMORE!

Toronto at St. Louis 7:45 ET

Blue Jays over Cardinals - It is fitting that these two clubs have the exact same record (36-30) and both have shown a profit if played every game on the money line this season. The overall pitching between these two I eerily similar as there is just and .04 difference. Toronto has won the past four meetings including a 5-4 Megabucks winner Monday. Chris Bassitt (6-3, 3.56) gets the start for the Blue Jays and once again he is having a winning season and he is 1-1 lifetime against St. Louis. The Cardinals will send out Miles Mikolas (4-2, 3.96) who has no career decisions against the Jays but has a 6.00 ERA in three starts. Take TORONTO!

Atlanta at Milwaukee 7:40 ET

Braves over Brewers - After the disappointing year that Atlanta went through last season I like many other expected the Braves to bounce back this season and regain their pennant winning form. But, alas, they opened the year with seven straight defeats and it took over two months to get to the break even mark, but since they reached that level they have gone south losing 14 of their last 18 games. The Braves ended a seven game losing streak Monday with a 7-1 win and Grant Holmes (3-4, 3.99 ERA) start for the Braves and Quinn Priester (3-2, 3.88) gets the nod for the Brewers and they are 1-5 in his starts. Take ATLANTA!

Indiana at Atlanta 7:30 ET

Dream (-) over Fever - The face of the WNBA Indiana’s Caitlin Clark will remain on the sidelines for at least one more game because she has a quad strain and the Fever have held on going 2-2 without her. Atlanta just had their four game win streak end at lowly Connecticut on Friday their final of three straight on the road. The Fever have hung tough without Clark but it catches up with them tonight. Take ATLANTA!

Cincinnati at Cleveland 6:40

Watch Dogs over Redlegs - There are 18 players that will start the game between Cincinnati and Cleveland but the storyline is of a man in uniform that doesn’t play on the field or DH. It is about Cincinnati manager Tito Francona who ran the show at Cleveland for 11 years and posted 921 wins and his return to the site of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. The Reds will start Andrew Abbott (5-1, 2.18 ERA) had an ERA of 0.55 in May and he is 2-1 with a 3.65 ERA in three career starts against Cleveland posting a win three weeks ago on May 17. The former Tribesman will send out Slade Cecconi (1-2, 4.87) who is 0-2 lifetime against the Reds and took the loss when these two met that day. Revenge is sweet…take CLEVELAND!

LA Dodgers at San Diego 9:30 ET

Dodgers over Padres - Although these two clubs have similar records but if you made $100 a wager on each game the Padres are plus $714 while Los Angeles who is two games better is a minus $205 on the year. The Dodgers will send Dustin May (3-4, 4.09) to the hill and against San Diego he has 63 Ks in 61 innings and is 2-4 3.36 in career starts. The Padres will start Nick Pivetta (6-2, 3.16) who has thrown 68 innings with 76 K’s this season and is 1-2 2.96  with 37 strikeouts in 27 innings against the Dodgers. Take SAN DIEGO!

Toronto at St. Louis 7:45 ET

Blue Jays over Cardinals - The fact that this encounter is a virtual pick’em has me believing that the visitor has the edge. St. Louis is 22-11 at home while Toronto is 13-17 on the road and that difference is huge. The Blue Jays will start Jose Berrios (2-2, 3.67 ERA) who is 76 innings has surrendered 67 hits with 70 K’s, he is also 3-0 with a 3.16 ERA with 36 strikeouts in 31 innings against the Cardinals. Blue Jays has won the last three meetings. Take TORONTO!

Tampa Bay at Boston 7:10 ET

Rays over Red Sox - Boston is off of a pair of wins over their arch rivals at Yankees Stadium this weekend and winning that series is a big deal for a team that has been a disappointment to their backers this season. Tampa Bay always seems to be over achievers and will send Shane Baz (5-3, 4.96 ERA) to the mound and if he has a weakness it is that he gives up the long ball allowing 13 home runs. The Red Sox send Brayan Bello (2-1, 3.91) to the bump and the Rays batter him 2-4, with a 5.73 ERA against the Rays. Take TAMPA BAY!

Indiana at Oklahoma City 8:00 ET

Thunder (-) over Pacers - Aw, come on…again! Really now, how long will this continue? This sucks for Oklahoma City backers after laying 10 or less in game One and you have o be thinking about taking Indiana in Game 2 because the thunder are just cruising along with a 15-point lead in the four wait until the game is over and then what! See, I mean what are Thunder Game 1 backers supposed to do, should they lay 11 of more against a team that just beat you and have beaten everyone else  that they play and on the road. This line I getting more absurd to me the more I look at it. It looks so inviting with a double-digit dog…Maybe I’m the sucker…take OKLAHOMA CITY!

Atlanta at San Francisco 4:05 ET

Braves over Giants - The Atlanta Braves started the year with seven straight losses and most felt that sooner or later they would get their act together and it took about 55 more game for them to draw even on the season. Then they hit a wall and currently are on a six game slide as they have fallen to a season high nine game under .500. The over achieving Giants just keep hustling and win when they are supposed to and they are nine games over .500. The Braves will send out Spencer Strider (0-4, 5.68 ERA) who because of injury has won a game since his 20-5 season in 2023. He has four starts this year and has taken the loss in all four outings. Yet, he is favored on the road against a better team. This smells. Take ATLANTA!

Texas at Washington 1:30 ET

Rangers over Nationals - It seems like there are too many people that like to bet on the Rangers. I don’t know if it is a Texas thing or they are just totally overrated. Right now the Rangers are minus $1015 at $100 a game and although Washington is four games under .500 they are plus $648. Starting pitching doesn’t carry the same weight now as in the past and Texas will start reliever Jacob Latz (0-0, 2.95 ERA) and the Nationals send Trevor Williams (3-6, 6.03 to the mound and in six of his last seven starts he has surrendered 26 runs and 35 hits in just 28 innings. Take TEXAS!

Arizona at Cincinnati 1;40 ET

D’Backs over Reds - Arizona’s Zac Gellen (4-7, 5.13 ERA) is feeling the pressure as his co-ace Corbin Burnes is having Tommy John surgery and is ‘86’ for the rest of the season. He was 14-6 last season and has his work cut out for him to come close to that kind of stellar year. Cincinnati is going for the three game sweep with Brady Singer (5-4, 4.66) who is 2-0 lifetime against Arizona. Steaky crawlers bite…take ARIZONA!

Indiana at Chicago 8:00 ET

Sky (+) over Fever - This will be Chicago’s first game in a week and after opening the season with four straight losses they have won their last two beating Dallas twice. Indiana finally posted a win and cover without Caitlin Clark who is sidelined with a quad injury. Clark ins;t the only Fever sidelined and they are just not deep enough to overcome the Sky here. Chicago has revenge on their mid especially Angel (I’m no ‘Angel ) Reese who was out-played by arch rival Caitlin who posted a triple double in their 93-58 trouncing on opening night on national TV. Racist bully Reese made false racist statements after her humiliation  on the court in the opener but will have her way tonight. Take CHICAGO!   

Boston at New York Yankees 7:35 ET

Red Sox over Yankees - Garrett Crochet (5-4, 1.98 ERA) If you haven’t seen him pitch you could never understand how anyone could that the Red Sox. This Boston team can’t pick itS up or throw it and their bullpen has allowed the most blown saves in baseball. After four years with the White Sox he was set free by Boston who will torture you in their own way. New York took a quick five run lead in the first inning Friday and the Sawx were never in it. Tonight, they know they have a chance with Crochet on the mound as the do score runs and he doesn’t allow many. Take BOSTON!  

San Diego at Milwaukee 7:35 ET

Padres over Brewers - San Diego’s Steven Kolek (3-1, 3.47 ERA) has started six games and in three of those starts he didn’t allow any runs. The other three starts not so much  surrendering 14 earned runs on 21 hits in 16.1 innings. My goodness it is Jose Quintana (4-1, 2.77) and back after two uneventful seasons with the NY Mets. Now pitching for Milwaukee, this is his sixth team in the past seven seasons and it is either because people what him or want to get rid of him. His last winning season was with the Chicago Cubs in 2019, he is 19-26 the last five years. Take SAN DIEGO!

Toronto at Minnesota 2:10 ET

Blue Jays over Twins - These two clubs have identical 34-29 and both clubs and are sitting in second place in their respective divisions. It seems a bit strange this game is a pick-em and the Twins are not favored at home. Toronto will start Kevein Gausman (5-4, 3.82 ERA) who has struggled mightily against Minnesota going 1-5 with an ERA of 6.61 and believe it or not the Twins have a lifetime .300 average against Gausman. Minny will send Chris Paddack (2-5, 3.58) to the mound and this is his first appearance against the Blue Jays in his seven year career. Take TORONTO!

Atlanta at San Francisco 0:15 ET

Braves over Giants - Atlanta is expected to back back from a poor performance in 2024 started the season with seven straight losses and fought for eight weeks to raise they record to the breakwater point only to fall back once again. The Braves have lost four straight games and eight of their last 10 including blow a six run ninth inning lead yesterday. They are looking to get on the right track with Spencer Schwellenbach (4-4, 3.13 ERA) who has shut out opponents in four of his 12 starts. Braves bounce back. Take ATLANTA!

Seattle at LA Angels 9:35 ET

Mariners over Angels - Veteran hurler Kyle Hendericks (2-6, 5.34 ERA) will get the start for Los Angeles after spending 11 years with the Chicago Cubs and even led the league once with an ERA of 2.13 but, that was 10years ago. But, things change as his ERA was 5.92 last season and is over five once again this season. For Seattle Bryce Miller (2-4, 5.36) who posted a five inning shut out against LA for one of his two victories. He is 2-1 with a 1.30 ERA in five career starts against the Angels. Take SEATTLE!

LA Sparks at Dallas 9:30 ET

Wings (+) over Sparks - A pair of bottom feeders match up in Dallas where the 1-7 Wings will host 2-6 Los Angeles in a game that will most likely show us what the WNBA was a decade ago. What I mean by that is that the overall pay of the league has improved leaps and more leaps. Dallas has dropped their last three games after beating lowly 1-6 Connecticut 109-87 as a 4.5 point favorite. After opening the season with a win over expansion Golden State they have lost six of seven, including a lost to the Valkyries. No. 1 draft pick Paige Bueckers most likely will return after a two game absence because of concussion protocol. I am looking for the Wings who are 0-3 as hosts to win their first home game. Tale DALLAS!

Arizona at Cincinnati 7:10 ET

Diamondbacks over Reds - Arizona posted their biggest comeback in team history yesterday scoring seven runs in the ninth inning to defeat the Atlanta Braves. The Diamondbacks have won four straight and will send left-hander Eduardo Rodriguez (1-3, 7.05 ERA) to the mound and this is his first start coming off of the IL. Cincinnati has lost four of their last five and have dropped below .500. Nick Lodolo (4-4, 3.10) gets the nod for the Reds and he has never faced the D’Backs while Rodriguez ia 1-1 with an ERA of 2.77 in two starts against the Reds. The Snakes were 5-1 against Cincy last season and the beat goes on…take ARIZONA!

Ottawa at Saskatchewan 9:00 ET

Redblacks/Roughriders (UNDER) - From what I can ascertain after checking the factor that I consider important it looks to me like the best way to go with this one is to play the UNDER. This is a high volume league where you get only three downs and don’t take plays off. With the CFL short preseason camp offenses seem to struggle early on and are behind the defenses that just want to hit you and knock you down. Plenty of third down punts. Play UNDER!

Indiana at Oklahoma City 8:30 ET

Thunder (-) over Pacers - It has been 25 years since Indiana made to the NBA Finals and a lifetime for Oklahoma City but not the franchise. The Seattle Super Sonics were NBA Champions before they were run out of Washington to Middle America Oklahoma City. Last season when the Thunder had the best record in the NBA they were ousted early from the NBA post season and this year the once again posed the best record and have made it to the finals.The Pacers lost both meetings this season after winning both meetings last season. The Thunder have defeated teams by the widest margin in NBA history through out the season and continue through the playoffs. Take OKLAHOMA CITY!

Kansas City at St. Louis 7:45 ET

Royals over Cardinals - St. Louis enters this fray having lost three of their last four games while surrendering 29 runs in their three losses. In Game 2 of today’s day/Night double-header the Cardinals will send left-hander Matthew Liberator (3-4, 3.08 ERA) to the mound at night and Kansas City will direct lefty Cole Ragans (2-3, 4.53) to the hill. Ragans is off a stint on the IL and will be making his first MLB start since May 16 when these same Cardinals got to him scoring four runs in a 10-3 defeat. Take KANSAS CITY!

New York at Washington 7:30 ET

Mystics (+) over Liberty - New York is winning by margins that make Oklahoma City feel inferior. We have been all over the Liberty including their 100-52 romp last time. They have already dispatched Washington 85-63 a week or so ago and after being 7-0 they might be bored. The Mystics won their opening two games but have dropped five of six and having already played the defending champs will help second time around as they know what to expect and should have made adjustments. Take WASHINGTON!

Kansas City at St. Louis 7:45 ET

Royals over Cardinals -Noah Cameron (2-1, 1.05 ERA) is getting the fifth start of his career and in his previous four starts went has gone at least 6.1 innings in each outing and he has allowed just 13 hits in 26 innings. If my math is correct and I’m pretty sure it is he surrenders a hit every two innings. That’s pretty much it for me…and it looks like the Royals are starting to hit! Take KANSAS CITY.

Dallas at Seattle 9:30 ET

Storm (-) over Wings - After finishing the 2024 season Dallas was in position to make the No. 1 draft pick. The Wings made huge changes in the off season and to start with they have a new general manager along with their No. 1 overall draft pick. Paige Bueckers was drafted first along with three other new faces. It will take Dallas a bit of time to get up to speed especially without Bueckers who is in concussion protocol. Seattle just fell at home to Las Vegas after having defeated them the previous game. The Storm will take advantage of being at home and the Wings being so raw and inexperienced. Tae SEATTLE!

Milwaukee at Cincinnati 7:10 ET

Reds over Brewers - Okay, eight is enough! Milwaukee posted a Money Game winner for us all Monday 3-2 while getting just one hit after the third inning. Get hits at anytime against tonight’s mound opponent as the No.2 overall pick in 2017 Cincinnati’s Hunter Green (4-3, 2’63 ERA) who has surrendered just 39 hits in 55 innings with 66 strikeouts. The Brewers send out Freddy Peralta (5-3, 2.77) who is having his best season ever as he has allowed 50 hits in 65 innings and he is 5-3 with a 3.35 ERA against Cincinnati in 20 appearances. Greene is 1-4 with a 7.45 in six game. This time around it is CINCINNATI!

Milwaukee at Cincinnati 7:10 ET

Brewers over Reds - Former Kansas City hurler Brady Singer (6-3, 4.60 ERA) will get the nod and will bring his career record of 2-0, 3.48 ERA with 11 strikeouts in 10 innings against Milwaukee. For the Brewers Aaron Civale (0-1, 6.00 ERA) will start and he is 2-0, with 2.03 ERA 10 K’s in 13 innings against Cincinnati. Milwaukee has won seven straight sweeping a three game set at home against Boston and the last three at Philadelphia. The Brew Crew is now a season high four games over .500. The Reds dropped their last two games and have lost 3-of-4 and I expect at least one if not both of these clubs to made a run at the Cubs.  Chicago is threatening to run away with the NL Central and currently is 15 games over .500. The Brewers have taken three of the last four meetings and six of eight meetings. Cincinnati’s future super star Elly De La Cruz will most likely be out be cause of his sister’s death. Take MILWAUKEE!

Connecticut at New York 3:00 ET

Liberty (-) over Sun - New York the defending WNBA Champions are off to a franchise best 6-0 start and are out to win every game by as big a margin as they can…and they can. Connecticut has too many new faces and it is too early in the season for them to mesh enough to compete here. The Liberty is taking no prisoners and just destroying their opposition from the opening tip to the final horn. The Sun doesn’t shine here! Take NEW YORK!

Boston at Atlanta 1:35 ET

Red Sox over Braves - Boston leads the majors in blown saves with 15 and have lost six of there last seven and are 1-4 on this current road trip. Atlanta had that horrible start at  0-7 and have been fighting to reach .500 ever since, but they keep falling back under the breakwater mark and are now still 3-games under. The Braves figure to be better as Ronald Acuna has return to action and that has got to help. The Red Sox will send their prize possession as Garrett Crochet (4-4, 2.04 ERA) and although the Sawx have  lost his last three starts, where his teammates scored just five runs in three games. One of the toughest left-handers to hit, Crochett has surrendered just 56 hits in 75 innings while striking out 90. That’s enough for me…take BOSTON!

New York at Indiana 8:00 ET

Knicks (+) over Pacers - There are plenty of good reasons to have the Knicks Saturday night and my buddy Larry Ness would say ‘you can only lose once down 3-games and getting points’, and he is right but that has nothing to do with my reasoning. I am a numbers guy and the book maker is giving me all the signs of a New York victory. The line of minus-4 is fair enough but when I look into the personal prop bets they can be very telling. One thing I believe that the ‘bookies’ are telling ‘us’ is that the Pacers’ Tyrese Haliburton, who had one of the greatest playoff stat lines for a guard in NBA Playoff history, followed that performance with an eight point effort last time out and that he is in trouble again. Now, many would naturally think that Ty will bounce back when returning to his home floor where that ‘historic’ game took place. But, the bookmaker does not believe it…his over/under total for points opened at 19.5. Tibs puts the defensive pressure on and Knicks must win! Take NEW YORK!

NY Yankees at LA Dodgers 7:15 ET

Yankees over Dodgers - As expected with the payrolls being what it is these two are the leading scoring teams in baseball with Los Angeles averaging 5.54 runs per games and the Yankees are even better with 5.65 RPG. Of course the storyline is the power hitting superstars with New York’s Aaron Judge and LA’s Shohei Ohtani who have hit 19 and 22 home runs respectively. Both hit homers in their first at bats Friday with Ohtani hitting his second homer in the 6th inning in the Dodgers 8-5 win. Today. the Yankees even the series. Take NEW YORK!

Minnesota at Seattle 7:15 ET

Mariners over Twins - Neither of these clubs is top tier in MLB, but most likely will make the postseason. Seattle, which is supposed to have the best starting rotation in the AL had trouble scoring runs early in the season but it has been their pitching that has been disappointing. The Mariners pitching staff is allowing 4.46 runs per game and that is more than a full run per game (3.50) then the Twins staff allows. Minnesota took the series opener Friday night with a 12-6 victory and have now won five of the last six meetings. One of the biggest problems has been Bryce Miller (2-4, 5.22 ERA) who has been bombed in his last two starts allowing 11 earned runs in just nine innings with just four strikeouts. Last year he was 12-6 with an ERA of 2.96 allowing just 131 hits in 181 innings pitched. I always thought that the weirdest name for any Twins player was Kirby Puckett, but he has now been replaced by today’s starter ‘Zebby’ Matthews (0-1 6.43). who is considered a strikeout artist. Zebby is 1-5 lifetime surrendering 38 runs and 67 hits in just 51 innings with 64 K’s. Take SEATTLE!

Detroit at Kansas City 8:10 ET

Royals over Tigers - Kansas City who is expected to be a contender before the season ends has had difficulty scoring runs the season but have their ace Seth Lugo (3-4, 3.02 ERA) returning to the bump after two weeks on the IL. Still, hard to hit Logo has allowed just 47 hits in 57 innings although he has surrendered nine home runs. Detroit will send out Casey Mize (6-1, 2.45) who has his first winning record in his fifth season in the ‘bigs’. Mize has also missed more than two weeks with a hamstring injury. The Tigers had won six straight in the series after taking the first three meetings this season before the Royals broke through with a win in the final meeting. Take KANSAS CITY!

New York at Washington 7:30 ET

Liberty (-) over Mystics - The defending WNBA Champions are off to a 5-0 and are looking to get to 6-0 for the first time in 28 years. Washington is 3-3 and has three fresh faces now in their lineup and they just don’t have the experience and depth that New York possesses. The Liberty have two of the league's future Hall of Fame players in Breanna Stewart and Sabrina Ionescu and they will lead the way for the reigning champs who are that much better. Take LIBERTY!

Washington at Seattle 9:40 ET

Nationals over Mariners - This match-up is the rubber game of a 3-game set with the Mariners winning the opener 9-1 and Washington coming back with a 9-0 win as a +205 underdog. Today, the Nationals send out their best in MacKenzie Gore (2-5, 3.47 ERA) and his last win came on April 19 against Colorado. The Nats haven’t given him much suppose scoring just six runs in his last five starts, but he is hard to hit! In 62 innings he has surrendered just 57 hits with get this 93 strikeouts. Mac doesn’t walk many but has given up eight home runs. Seattle is starting Emerson Hancock (2-2, 5.95) who has been battered for 53 hits in 389 innings with just 28 strikeouts with right home runs. Huge advantage for the Nationals. Take WASHINGTON!

Tampa Bay at Houston 8:10 ET

Rays over Astros - Houston will start Ryan Gusto (3-2, 4.58 ERA) and his last win came on April 23 at Toronto and Astros have lost his last four starts. Tampa Bay is send out Shane Baz (4-3, 4.94) and he averages giving up a hit an inning and a strike out an inning. the Rays won a 3-game set 2-1 last week in Tampa winning the final two games after dropping the opener. Baz took a loss last August at home to the Astros when he went 7 innings and allowed three runs. Houston has won four straight and five of six on this home stand. Tampa Bay has won seven of eight and just finish a nine game home stand. Take TAMPA BAY!

Indiana at New York 8:00 ET

Knicks (-) over Pacers - Most of the people I speak with think that that New York is done and will lose the series 4-1. I have trouble accepting the knee jerk reaction and jumping on Indiana. My thought are that the Knicks will win the game outright and might struggle to cover the number. The Knicks can’t get past blowing a 116-102 lead with 2:57 left in the 4th quarter losing game 2 at home and for the most part blowing the series. But, it is the Knicks or nobody here. Take NEW YORK!

Dallas at Chicago  8:00 ET

Sky (+) over Wings - Chicago (0-4) has lost nine straight games closing the 2024 season with five losses and have opened this year with four straight losses. Dallas (1-4) broke their own nine game losing streak (0-4 this season) with a win at Connecticut 109-87 led by Number 1 draft pick rookie Paige Bueckers. They Sky had an opportunity to post their first win Tuesday at Phoenix when leading 58-42 mid-third quarter and lost 89-94 getting the cover. This time they complete the task…take CHICAGO!

Minnesota at Oklahoma City 8:30 ET

Thunder (-) over Timberwolves - Minnesota will be scrambling for their NBA playoff lives and they will need another super effort from Anthony Edwards and for Julius Randle to at least show up. But, that might be a bit of a problem with The Wolves who often go into the tank on the road when falling behind and that is what I expect here. The Thunder much like Minnesota is more comfortable when playing at home where they have won 42-of-49. Take OKLAHOMA CITY!

Cincinnati at Kansas City 7:40 ET

Reds over Royals - At this point of the season about 1/3 of the way both of these clubs are midland hovering around the .500 mark. Cincinnati will start Hunter Greene (4-2, 2.54 ERA) who has thrown 50 innings this season while surrendering just 32 hits with 63 strikeouts. He will overpower this weak hitting Kansas City club who has scored just 2.75 runs in their last 15 game going 5-11. The Royals will send Noah Cameron (1-1, 0.93) to the mound and he has been outstanding allowing just seven hits in three starts covering 19 innings. He won’t be enough. Take CINCINNATI!

Indiana at Washington 7:30 ET

Fever over Mystics - With Caitlin Clark sidelined it looks very odd to see Indiana favored at Washington (this game is in Baltimore). The Mystics posted a victory this season in their opener at home  as an 8-point underdog against Atlanta winning 94-90. They won their first road game at Connecticut as a 4.5-point favorite 90-85 but have lost three straight on the road since.  Returning home should be heart warming but this is more of a neutral site. At first glance without Clark how can the Fever be favored on the road…Take  INDIANA!

St. Louis at Baltimore 6:30 ET

Orioles over Cardinals - It did not take long for one of the best organizations the St. Louis Cardinals in all of baseball has apparently this year has rebounded from an unusual (for them) losing season in 2024. Baltimore after making a run in 2023 has fallen to the point of no return and will send Cade Povich (1-3, 4.86 ERA) to the mound and in his last start gave up one run in a 16-5 loss. St. Louis will start Miles Mikolas (4-2, 2.51) who has been outstanding this season. But, this is the O’s game today. Take BALTIMORE!

Minnesota at Tampa Bay 1:10 ET

Twins over Rays - Major league baseball is the longest of all sports and Minnesota looked like one of the worst teams in MLB after a 7-15 start. But, the season gives you enough time to recover and the Twins have recovered and are 23-9 since then which is the best in baseball. Tampa Bay had their six game winning streak stopped yesterday by these Twins and they take their second straight from the Rays. Minny’s Pablo Lopez (4-2, 2.31 ERA) allowed only 40 hits in 51 innings with 54 strikeouts in 10 starts this season. Lopez has surrendered more than two runs once (allowing four runs to the Giants). Take MINNESOTA!

New York at Indiana 8:00 ET

Knicks (+) over Pacers - I guess the thing to do in this series is to expect the unexpected! Also, with the ability to make ‘in-game’ wagers just wait for any team to trail by 20 points or at least 15 and then bet them on the money line to win the game outright! Yeah sure, that’ll happen. The truth of the matter is New York has been out-played for the most part are still considered the better team with a better record. It is just that the Knicks do not go very deep and there is content talk of fatigue, but my God they are barely (except for Brunson) playing 30 minutes of a 48 minute game. Take NEW YORK!

Golden State at New York 7:30 ET

Liberty (-) over Valkyries - The expansion Golden State Valkyries opened the season with a loss against the LA Sparks and then defeated LA in a rematch on Sunday for their second straight win. Liberty is the defensing WNBA Champions and just snuck by Caitlin Clark and the Fever with a 90-88 win as a 2.5-point favorite. This is the Valk’s first real road trip and game outside the state of California and New York is a place they have never experienced before. Take LIBERTY!

Atlanta at Philadelphia 6:4 ET

Braves over Phillies - I have I got a Spencer Strider stat that is quite interesting. He is 8-0 with a 2.06 ERA in nine career starts against Philadelphia but is 0-3 with a 5.40 ERA in all three of his postseason starts. The Phillies will send Ranger Suarez (3-0, 3.70) and he is 2-4 with a 4.08 ERA in 19 appearances against the Braves. Atlanta has dropped four of their last five games but are pleased with return of Ron Acuna who will give them a much needed boost on offense. The Phillies had won nine straight before dropping a 5-4 decision to the A’s on Sunday. Karma has changed. Take ATLANTA!

Oklahoma City at Minnesota 8:30 ET

Timberwolves (+) over Thunder - Usually when a team especially a good team like Oklahoma City get beat the way they did in Game 3, I take them to come out and play with more urgency next time out. Minnesota played with so much more confidence at home and Anthony Edwards feels really comfortable on his home floor. As I mentioned the Thunder didn’t have the intensity needed and still with a lead in the series I do not believe that they feel the urgency. Wolves stay hot on their court. Take MINNESOTA!

Minnesota at Tampa Bay 7:05 ET

Rays over Twins - Tampa Bay lost their first game of their current home stand but have reeled off five straight wins including yesterday’s Power Play 13-0 winner over Toronto. Minnesota has been one of the hottest teams in baseball although they lost 2-1 to the Royals Sunday hey are 7-3 in the last 10 overall. In head-to-head action the Rays have won four of the last six and will start Zack Littell (3-5, 4.25) who is 0-2 in five appearances against the twinkies. Chris Paddock ( 2-4, 3.98) get the nod for Minnesota and he has never faced the Rays. Take TAMPA BAY!

Cincinnati at Kansas City 4:40 ET

Reds over Royals - An amazing trends surrounds this rivalry as the home team  has lost seven straight meetings dating back to 2021. Kansas city has taken the past three and Cincinnati had won the previous all games were won by the visiting teams. The Reds enter this fray losing 4-of-5 after having won five straight and today the start nick Martinez (2-5, 3.43 ERA who has thrown better that his record shows. The Royals send out 11-year veteran Michael Lorenzen (3-5, 3.77) and he has surrendered nine home runs already this season and the reds love the long ball. Take CINCINNATI!

St. Louis at Baltimore 3:05 ET

Orioles over Cardinals - Baltimore hasn’t beaten St. Louis since their final meetings in September 2023 when the Orioles could actually play. The Cardinals have won the past five meetings and have allowed only 10 runs and two runs a game isn’t going to cut it for the O’s. The Cardinals just swept a three game home set over Arizona while the Orange Birds salvaged a split with Boston by winning the last two games of four played.  Charlie Morton 4-12 5.05 ERA lifetime against the Red Birds and he has actually won his last two decisions against them. Take BALTIMORE!
