06-18-24 | Oilers v. Panthers -135 | Top | 5-3 | Loss | -135 | 10 h 18 m | Show |
The Edmonton Oilers staved off elimination in game four of the NHL Stanley Cup Finals with a easy win last Saturday, 8-1. After scoring just four total goals in the first three games, the Oilers ran up the score to a tune a eight games in just game four, twice what they scored in the previous three games combined. Connor McDavid scored his first game of the finals in a four-point total night in the rout. Have to believe the Panthers had little interest in winning that game four. They pulled their star goalie in the 2nd period and rested their top line players as the score got out of hand. Now they return to home ice where they can win the cup in front of their home crowd. I expect to see the Panthers team we saw in the first three games of this Cup Finals. I'm taking the Florida Panthers to wrap-it up tonight. |

05-30-21 | Golden Knights v. Avalanche -178 | Top | 1-7 | Win | 100 | 10 h 32 m | Show |
Vegas in a tough spot here in game one at Colorado to start this best of seven 2nd round series. Vegas had to go a difficult 7 games to win over Minnesota after leading 3-1 in that series. It was a physical series and likely took a lot out of Vegas. Now, they have to play arguably the best team in the NHL and Stanley Cup favorite in Colorado. They had just one day off to prepare and travel for tonight's game one. Meanwhile, the Avs swept St Louis in four straight and have lots of time off to rest and prepare. The only good news for Vegas was the return of Max Pacioretty who netted the game winning goal against the Wild in game seven. That being said though, Vegas in a letdown spot here today and this Colorado team isn't the team to have a letdown against. I don't usually like laying these kinds of prices, but the situation calls for here it here tonight. Play Colorado in game one. |
|||||||
05-20-21 | Golden Knights v. Wild -102 | Top | 5-2 | Loss | -102 | 10 h 42 m | Show |
The Vegas Golden Knights and Minnesota Wild play game three of their best of seven series here tonight. The Series moves from Vegas to Minnesota with the series tied at 1-1. Minnesota won game one in OT, 1-0 and then lost game two 1-3. They led 1-0 in game two in the 2nd period before giving up three straight gaols. Minnesota goalie Talbot has been great between the pipes, having to stop a myriad of shots from Vegas. Vegas has rotated goalies most of the year, but Marc-Andre Flury has started both games for Vegas in the postseason. Fluery is 36 years old but still a great goaltender and having one of his best seasons ever. Vegas has been without their leading scorer in Max Pacioretty. Pacioretty is day-to-day but his absence definitely hurts this Vegas team. Captain Mark Stone hasn't looked as sharp since Pacioretty has been out. There is only one team Vegas has a losing record against this year and that is Minnesota. The Wild have given Vegas fits ever since Vegas came into the league four years ago. I'll take Minnesota here tonight. |
|||||||
01-28-21 | Lightning -143 v. Hurricanes | Top | 0-1 | Loss | -143 | 3 h 42 m | Show |
Tampa Bay already one of the favorites to win the Stanley Cup this year so they really don't need much help. Still, they will get it tonight. Carolina hasn't played in more than 10 days after a Covid outbreak on the team. While the Hurricanes finally get to play here tonight, they will still be without five regular players. Covid makes handicapping a challenge at times as we have to keep up with the players and their going on and coming off the protocol lists. I'm going to lay the price here tonight on the road with Tampa Bay. Carolina likely will be out of shorts after a long layoff and be without some regular players. Take Tampa Bay. |
|||||||
08-01-20 | Blackhawks v. Oilers -147 | Top | 6-4 | Loss | -147 | 17 h 5 m | Show |
Qualifying action here has the Blackhawks and Oilers matching up. Edmonton comes in with the top rated power play in the league at 29.5%. They also kill penalties very well, ranked 2nd in the league. The Oilers won their tuneup with the Flames, 4-1, scoring on the power play early. The Hawks had a good run before the break, winning five of their last seven games. Still, too many pluses on the side of the Oilers here in this matchup. My top play of the day is on the Oilers. |
|||||||
02-17-20 | Lightning -114 v. Avalanche | Top | 4-3 | Win | 100 | 10 h 12 m | Show |
The Tampa Bay Lightning are not only 2nd in the East with 83 points, but are 2nd overall in the NHL as they trail top rated Boston by just three points. The Lightning are RED-HOT, riding a 10-game winning streak. They are also 22-3 in their last 25 games. Colorado is also having a decent season, though not as hot as Tampa Bay has been. The Avs are 3rd in the West with 72 points and are 7-3 in their last 10 games, though they have lost two straight. The Avs are coming off a home loss to the worst team in the NHL, the Kings, 1-3. Small price here on the road with the hottest team in the NHL. Play Tampa Bay. |
|||||||
12-23-19 | Capitals +115 v. Bruins | Top | 3-7 | Loss | -100 | 6 h 35 m | Show |
The Washington Capitals won the NHL Stanley Cup in 2017 and then had a down season last year. They look like they are in Stanley Cup form again this season with a NHL high 57 points and a 26-6-5 record. The Capitals also have the highest goal differential in the league at +30. While the Caps are 1st in the East and overall in the NHL, the Bruins are 2nd in the East with 51 points and a 21-7-9 record. However, unlike the Caps, the Bruins have lost three straight games and eight of their last nine games. Not sure why the wheels have come off the wagon for the Bruins, but they are allowing a lot more goals than usual. In fact, during this nine game stint they have allowed at least three goals in eight of those games. Tonight we get the Capitals as a dog, that's too easy for me. I'll take the NHL's best team against an ice cold Bruins squad and get plus money. Play Washington. |
|||||||
12-10-19 | Lightning -105 v. Panthers | Top | 2-1 | Win | 100 | 7 h 40 m | Show |
Battle for Florida here tonight as the Tampa Bay Lightning take on their instate rivals, Florida Panthers. Both teams playing about the same thus far with Tampa Bay at 14-11-3 and Florida at 15-9-5. The Lightning are averaging 3.7 goals, the Panthers 3.6 goals. The Lightning allowing 3.3 goals and the Panthers 3.4 goals. These are two excellent offenses and I expect a good game here tonight. I like the visitor in this one. Play Tampa Bay. |
|||||||
10-16-19 | Flyers v. Oilers -127 | Top | 3-6 | Win | 100 | 9 h 20 m | Show |
The 2-2 Philadelphia Flyers make the long trip to play in Canada tonight against the Edmonton Oilers. The Flyers opened the season with two wins, scoring eight goals in those two games. The last two they have been on the road where they have dropped both games, getting outscored 3-6 in the process. Now they have to face one of the hotter teams in the NHL in the Edmonton Oilers. The Oilers started the season 5-0 before losing on Monday night at Chicago, 1-3. Still, the team had scored at least four games in their previous four games prior to that first loss of the season. The Oilers are averaging 3.8 goals while allowing just 2.7 goals. Philly is averaging just 2.7 goals and allowing 2.2 goals. Philadelphia another of those spots where I like to play against. The Flyers had to play last night at Calgary and they lost 1-3. Now they turn around and have to play tonight at a very good Edmonton team. Bad spot here for the Flyers. I'm taking Edmonton. |
|||||||
01-30-18 | Golden Knights +105 v. Flames | Top | 4-2 | Win | 105 | 9 h 44 m | Show |
Second half of the NBA season starts today and for the first time in many years, the NHL players won't be released to play in next week's Olympics. Good or bad, this has to help teams that were on a roll prior to the break. One of those teams is the Vegas Golden Knights. The Knights having a dream season for an expansion team, second in the NHL in points. This team sent two players to the All-Star game including the face of the franchise, goalie Marc-Andre Fluery. Fluery missed some games early in the season with a concussion, but he's been in top form every since. The Knights players and coaches believe this team can win and whether than continues will be seen. However, I like the Knights as they are in every game that Fluery is between the pipes. I'm taking them here on Tuesday to start the second half of the season. Play Vegas |

01/28 9:05 PM EST NHL (17) LOS ANGELES KINGS VS (18) PHOENIX COYOTES
Take: (18) NHL Pacific Division Game of the Year: Phoenix Coyotes. That road trip took the life out of the LA Kings, contributing to a 5-game skid. Now they're playing their 7th road game over the last 8 contests, getting outscored 10-4 over three straight losses. This is a bad situational spot, the second of a back to back spot after playing at San Jose last night. "We really didn't come home," coach Darryl Sutter said. "We came and played here, and now we go back out, so it's a tough schedule." The Kings are 10-27 in their last 37 road games vs. a team with a winning home record with a weak offense and face a Phoenix team tat is rested and 4th in the NHL in goals scored, 5th on the power play. The home team is 6-0 in the last 6 meetings between these Pacific division rivals and the Kings are 13-27-2 in the last 42 meetings in Phoenix. Play Phoenix! |
|||||||
11-01-13 | Colorado Avalanche -107 v. Dallas Stars | Top | 3-2 | Win | 100 | 26 h 21 m | Show |
11/01 8:35 PM EST NHL (63) COLORADO AVALANCHE VS (64) DALLAS STARS
Take: (63) Central Division Game of the Year: Colorado. Can't trust this Dallas defense in a big game, 21st in goals allowed and 18th in penalty killing. They limp home from a 2-1 loss at Montreal and the Stars are 8-24 in their last 32 vs. the Central, 16-36 in their last 52 vs. a team with a winning percentage above .600. Colorado isn't as good as last year's Chicago Blackhawks, but they are having a sizzling start, 6th in goals scored, tops in penalty killing and goals allowed. Paul Stastny had a goal and an assist in the third period, Semyon Varlamov stopped 24 shots and the streaking Avalanche beat the Winnipeg Jets 3-2 on Sunday night. Matt Duchene and Jan Hejda also scored and Gabriel Landeskog added two assists for the Avalanche. Under first-year coach Patrick Roy, they are 10-1 for the second time in franchise history. The Avalanche have killed 18 straight penalties! The Avalanche are 7-0 in their last 7 vs. a team with a losing record, so grab the talented and hot visitors. Play Colorado. |
|||||||
05-23-13 | Chicago Blackhawks -136 v. Detroit Red Wings | Top | 0-2 | Loss | -136 | 54 h 31 m | Show |
05/23 8:05 PM EST NHL (31) CHICAGO BLACKHAWKS VS (32) DETROIT RED WINGS
Take: (31) NHL Playoff Game of the Year: Chicago Blackhawks in Game 4. A great spot for the talented Chicago Blackhawks. This is not a young team that will panic, as the Blackhawks won the Stanley Cup in 2010 and have the No. 1 seed after a dominating regular season. Detroit has worked hard to squeeze out a surprising 2-1 series edge, but the Red Wings can't quite match Chicago's skill, depth and talent. Chicago is second in the NHL in goals scored, tops in goals allowed, and had a sizzling 18-4-2 road record this season! Detroit was 0-for-5 on the power play in Game 3 and was outshot 40-30. They are 0-12 in the series on the power play despite being up 2-1. Look for a monster effort from the super-talented Blackhawks and the series to be even heading back to Chicago. Play the Chicago Blackhawks in Game 4. |

02-27-13 | NASH PREDATORS v. ANA DUCKS -120 | Top | 1-5 | Win | 100 | 31 h 28 m | Show |
02/27 10:05 PM EST NHL (55) NASHVILLE PREDATORS VS (56) ANAHEIM DUCKS
Take: (56) NHL Situational Game of the Year: Anaheim. A long road trip for Nashville, 3,000 miles to the West Coast, a team that is just 2-4 the last 6 games losing three times as a favorite. Nashville has been outscored on the season and ranks 28th in goals scored and 24 on the power play. The Predators are 4-9 in their last 13 road games. Anaheim is playing great, 3rd in the NHL in goals scored, 4th on the power play and 16th in goals allowed. Anaheim is on a 6-1 run and the Ducks are 20-8 in their last 28 home games and this is the 3rd home game over the last 4 games for the rested Duck. Play the Anaheim Ducks. |

02/23 7:05 PM NHL (61) TAMPA BAY LIGHTNING VS (62) CAROLINA HURRICANES
Take: (61) Southeast Division Game of the Year: Tampa Bay. A battle for first place in the Southeast division. Tampa Bay is tops in the NHL in goals scored and 5th on the power play with their attacking offense. They come off a tough loss at home to Boston, a top defensive team, but now they face a Carolina team that is 19th in goals allowed, 26th in penalty killing and has scored the same amount of goals they given up. The Lightning is 8-1 in their last 9 vs. the Southeast division. Carolina has lost two in a row and the Hurricanes are 0-5 in their last 5 vs. the Southeast. And when these teams meet the road team is 4-0 in the last 4 meetings and the Lightning is 5-1 in the last 6 meetings in Carolina. Play Tampa Bay! |

02-15-13 | BOS BRUINS -140 v. BUFF SABRES | Top | 2-4 | Loss | -140 | 25 h 20 m | Show |
02/15 7:05 PM EST NHL (51) BOSTON BRUINS VS (52) BUFFALO SABRES
Take: (51) NHL Bounce Back Game of the Year: Bruins Boston (8-1-2) has had a great start, with exceptional depth and talent, including the addition of defenseman Dougie Hamilton, a high pick two years ago. But the Bruins had their first loss to this Buffalo team, an embarrassing home defeat to Buffalo, 7-4, playing an unusually bad game defensively, blowing several leads. Boston is 13th in the NHL in goals scored, tops in penalty killing and 7th in goals allowed. The Bruins are Bruins are 21-5 in their last 26 vs. the Northeast division and 4-0 their last 4 road games. They come off another frustrating defense, this time to the rival Rangers, 4-3, but they are a terrific bounce back team (2-0 this season). Buffalo is not sharp defensively, 27th in goals allowed and 16th in penalty killing. It will be tough for the 26th ranked power play to score on the disciplined Bruins. The Sabres are 3-9 in their last 12 games and 1-4 in their last 5 home games. Play the Bruins! |
|||||||
02-02-13 | Boston Bruins -125 v. Toronto Maple Leafs | Top | 1-0 | Win | 100 | 29 h 50 m | Show |
2/02 7:05 PM EST NHL (7) BOSTON BRUINS VS (8) TORONTO MAPLE LEAFS
Take: (7) Northeast Division Game of the Year: Bruins. Boston (5-1-1) has had a great start, with exceptional depth and talent, including the addition of defenseman Dougie Hamilton, a high pick two years ago. But the Bruins come off their first loss, an embarrassing home defeat to Buffalo, 7-4, playing an unusually bad game defensively, blowing several leads. Boston is 10th in the NHL in goals scored and 3rd in penalty killing. The Bruins are 20-6 in their last 26 vs. Northeast and 11-3 after allowing 5 goals or more in their previous game. Toronto is not sharp defensively, 21st in goals allowed and 18th in penalty killing. It will be tough for the 21st ranked power play to score on the disciplined Bruins. The Maple Leafs are 3-13 in their last 16 home games. The Bruins crushed the Leafs a year ago winning all 6 games by a combined score of 36-10! And Boston has dominated the series, 19-7 in the last 26 meetings, plus the Bruins are 4-1 in the last 5 meetings in Toronto. Play the Bruins! |
|||||||
04-11-12 | Los Angeles Kings v. Vancouver Canucks -160 | Top | 4-2 | Loss | -160 | 53 h 52 m | Show |
04/11 10:35 PM EST NHL (55) LOS ANGELES KINGS VS (56) VANCOUVER CANUCKS
Take: (56) NHL High Roller Powerhouse Ice Crusher: Canucks. The Kings went belly up down the stretch, losing back to back games to San Jose to fall to third place in the Pacific. Los Angeles is 29th in goals scored and 17th on the power play, so this team is one of the worst in the NHL on offense. The Kings are 0-4 in their last 4 vs. a team with a winning record. The Kings are 3-8 in the last 11 meetings in Vancouver and face a Canucks team that is loaded, 5th in the NHL in goals scored, 4th in goals allowed and on the power play, plus the sixth best penalty killing unit in the league. The Canucks are 8-1 in their last 9 overall and 21-5 in their last 26 games playing on 3 or more days rest. Look for a one-sided win by the home team. Play Vancouver! |
|||||||
04-07-12 | Buffalo Sabres v. Boston Bruins -144 | Top | 3-4 | Win | 100 | 23 h 18 m | Show |
04/07 04:05 PM EST NHL (1) BUFFALO SABRES VS (2) BOSTON BRUINS
Take: (2) NHL Game of the Year: Bruins. Boston is treating this as a playoff primer. Coach Claude Julien said he did not anticipate giving any of his regulars a rest day in the season finale. He added that the three who did not play in Ottawa on Thursday -- goalie Tim Thomas, defenseman Zdeno Chara, and forward Patrice Bergeron -- would play against the Sabres. The Bruins are 22-6 in their last 28 vs. the Northeast and 12-5 in their last 17 home games vs. a team with a losing road record. Not only does Buffalo have a losing road record but the Sabres come into this one off a demoralizing loss at Philly which knocked them out of the playoffs. They suffered a 2-1 loss, blowing a third period 1-0 lead. The Sabres were in position to make Saturday's season finale in Boston meaningful. They entered the final period with the lead, a position they'd found themselves in 27 times prior. With a 25-0-2 record, they'd never lost in regulation |
|||||||
03-08-12 | San Jose Sharks v. Dallas Stars -104 | Top | 3-4 | Win | 100 | 28 h 5 m | Show |
03/08 08:35 PM EST NHL (17) SAN JOSE SHARKS VS (18) DALLAS STARS
Take: (18) Pacific Division Game of Year: Dallas Stars. San Jose comes to town not playing good hockey, on a 1-5 run, plus the Sharks are 1-6 in their last 7 road games. They've lost 3 in a row, a slump that has pushed them to third place in the Pacific division. The top team is Dallas, a team that is sizzling on a 7-1 run. They were a +180 dog the last game and won at Vancouver, 5-2. Richard Bachman and Mike Ribeiro helped the Dallas Stars keep up their late-season surge. Bachman, the rookie goalie, settled down after facing an early penalty shot and Ribeiro scored two goals to lead the Stars to a 5-2 win over Vancouver on Tuesday that put Dallas in first place in the Pacific Division. The Stars are 22-8 in their last 30 games playing on one days rest. Grab the home ice in a one-sided win; Play Dallas! |
|||||||
01-24-12 | Pittsburgh Penguins v. St. Louis Blues -122 | Top | 3-2 | Loss | -122 | 25 h 9 m | Show |
01/24 08:05 PM EST NHL (63) PITTSBURGH PENGUINS (64) ST. LOUIS BLUES
Take: (64) ST. LOUIS BLUES Reason: Home Ice Game of the Year: St. Louis Blues. Pittsburgh does most of its damage at home where they win 2 of every 3 games, but they are closer to .500 on the road. And the Penguins are 6-18 in their last 24 against a team with a winning record. They face a red-hot St. Louis team that has been on a tear. This defense is tops in the NHL in goals allowed, just 1.9 per contest. St. Louis has been the most dominating home team this season with a record of 21-3-3. The Blues are 25-8 in their last 33 versus the Eastern Conference, 20-7 in their last 27 games as a favorite and 45-19 in their last 64 games as a home favorite. They are also 50-24 in their last 74 home games and the Penguins are 1-5 in the last 6 meetings in St. Louis. Play the St. Louis Blues. |
|||||||
01-18-12 | Phoenix Coyotes v. Anaheim Ducks -129 | Top | 2-6 | Win | 100 | 27 h 23 m | Show |
01/18 10:05 PM EST NHL (57) PHOENIX COYOTES VS (58) ANAHEIM DUCKS
Take: (58) Pacific Division Game of the Year : The two bottom teams in the Pacific division meet here on Wednesday as Phoenix plays at the Honda Center in Anaheim. Phoenix (49pts) is just 3-3-4 in its last 10 games coming off a win over the Avalanche on Monday, 6-1. Phoenix is 18th in scoring in the NHL (2.57 gpg) with a slight drop on the road (2.54). Anaheim is 21st in the league in scoring (2.55) but improves greatly at home where they are 12th (3.00 gpg). The Ducks are coming off an impressive win at Vancouver, 4-2. What I like most about this Anaheim team is that they are heating up and I like situations where I can catch teams in hot streaks. The return of Jason Blake also has given the Ducks a shot, as the winger returned after missing 34 games. Anaheim is playing their best hockey of the year and with the return of Blake I don't mind laying the 1.30 to 1.40 here at home. The Coyotes have been a good road team this year but they catch a hot Ducks club that is playing at their peak. Take the Ducks here on Wednesday. |
|||||||
01-04-12 | Boston Bruins -150 v. New Jersey Devils | Top | 6-1 | Win | 100 | 26 h 20 m | Show |
01/04 07:35 PM EST NHL (53) BOSTON BRUINS (54) NEW JERSEY DEVILS
Take: (53) Eastern Conference Game of the Year: Bruins. Boston has been scorching hot and has had a few days to rest since a loss at Dallas around the holidays. The defending champs are tops in goals AND goals allowed! They are 11th in power play (a huge upgrade from last season) and 4th in penalty killing. The Bruins are 4-0 in their last 4 games playing on 3 or more days rest and 10-2 in their last 12 road games. New Jersey is stuck in 4th place allowing more goals than they've scored. This offense is 21st and the defense 18th, with a terrible power play. The Devils are 2-8 in their last 10 home games vs. a team with a road winning percentage of greater than .600 and the Bruins are 5-1 in the last 6 meetings. Play the Boston Bruins! |
|||||||
12-22-11 | Montreal Canadiens v. Winnipeg Jets -125 | Top | 0-4 | Win | 100 | 27 h 2 m | Show |
12/22 08:35 PM NHL (9) MONTREAL CANADIENS VS (10) WINNIPEG JETS
Take: (10) NHL Blowout Game of the Month: Winnipeg. Winnipeg is unique, with a terrific record at home partly because it's the smallest arena in the NHL. Visiting players have said for years it's tough to play there as the fans are close to the ice. They also have one of the top offenses in the NHL, No. 12 in scoring. They are terrific at home at 11-5-2. The Jets are 6-1 in their last 7 games playing on one days rest, 9-3 in their last 12 home games. They battle a Montreal team that is playing poorly, on a 3-9 run. The defense ranks 22nd in goals per game and one of the worst power plays in the NHL. This is a bad situational spot for Montreal, the second of a back to back spot and the Canadiens are 2-12 in their last 14 games playing on no days rest. Meanwhile Winnipeg is rested and the home team is 9-4-1 in the last 14 meetings. Play the Winnipeg Jets! |
|||||||
12-21-11 | Philadelphia Flyers +106 v. Dallas Stars | Top | 4-1 | Win | 106 | 26 h 21 m | Show |
12/21 07:35 PM EST NHL (53) PHILADELPHIA FLYERS VS (54) DALLAS STARS
Take: (53) Shocker of the Year: Flyers. First place Philadelphia, like last year, is doing it with offense, tops in the NHL in goals scored with 3.5 per game. That helps against good teams and away from home, as the Flyers are 5-1 in their last 6 road games, 4-1 in their last 5 vs. a team with a winning record. Philly is also playing great hockey, winning 7 of the last 9. Dallas may be in first place, but they are getting outscored for the season. This team is 18th in goals scored, 15th in goals allowed with a weak power play (22nd). This has been a one-sided series as the Flyers are 5-0 in the last 5 meetings. Play the Flyers! |

12-16-11 | Dallas Stars v. New Jersey Devils -128 | Top | 3-6 | Win | 100 | 27 h 32 m | Show |
12/16 08:05 PM EST NHL (1) DALLAS STARS VS (2) NEW JERSEY DEVILS
Take: (2) Situational Game of the Year: New Jersey Devils. A long road trip for Dallas and a difficult scheduling spot, playing the second of a back to back road spot, at New York last night. This Stars team is dominant at home, but a .500 road team, and for the season they have been outscored despite being in first place. They are one of the weaker offensive teams in the NHL (22nd in goals scored), in the middle of the pack in goals allowed and a below average power play. The Stars are 8-20 in their last 28 games playing on no days rest. They take on a stingy New Jersey defense, tops in the league in penalty killing. The Devils are 4-1 in their last 5 overall, 8-2 in their last 10 home games vs. a team with a winning road record. More good news for New Jersey is that center Travis Zajac will see his first action of the season following surgery, plus they will be retiring Scott Niedermayer's jersey. The Stars are 1-5 in the last 6 meetings in New Jersey and the home team is 9-2 in the last 11 meetings between these two. Play the New Jersey Devils! |

12-13-11 | Minnesota Wild +111 v. Winnipeg Jets | Top | 1-2 | Loss | -100 | 25 h 6 m | Show |
12/13 08:35 PM EST NHL (71) MINNESOTA WILD (72) WINNIPEG JETS
Take: (71) MINNESOTA WILD Reason: NHL Shocker of the Year: Minnesota. You don't find first place teams as a dog often but we do here with Minnesota, a team that has won 7 in a row and is one of the top defensive teams in the NHL, third in goals allowed. They have a better road record that Winnipeg has at home. The Wild is 7-0 in their last 7 games as a road underdog, 17-4 in their last 21 overall. Winnipeg has defensive problems, 22nd in goals allowed and 19th in penalty killing. The Jets are 6-14 in their last 20 games as a home favorite and 7-20 in their last 27 vs. the Western Conference. A great spot for the visitors; Play Minnesota! |

11-30-11 | Boston Bruins -135 v. Toronto Maple Leafs | Top | 6-3 | Win | 100 | 25 h 14 m | Show |
11/30 07:05 PM EST NHL (1) BOSTON BRUINS VS (2) TORONTO MAPLE LEAFS
Take: (1) Northeast Game of the Year: Bruins. A huge showdown for first place between the young Maple Leafs and the defending champs. Toronto is home from a long road trip, 4 in a row away as well as 13 of the last 19 on the road. And there are flaws with this team defensively, 23rd in goals allowed and 27th in penalty killing. The Maple Leafs are also 9-21 in their last 30 vs. a team with a winning percentage above .600. Toronto is overrated, outscoring opponents by just +5 goals per game (Boston has a +28) and Toronto has allowed 75 goals, the Bruins just 47. Boston has no such problems, 3rd in goals against, second in goals scored and 7th in penalty killing. The Bruins are 11-1 in their last 12 overall, 23-9 in their last 32 vs. Eastern Conference. The Maple Leafs are 3-8 in their last 11 home games following a road trip of 7 or more days and the Bruins are 13-6 in the last 19 meetings. Grab the champs; Play the Bruins! |
