06-03-21 | Tigers v. White Sox UNDER 8 | 1-4 | Win | 100 | 19 h 13 m | Show
Detroit Tigers and Chicago White Sox begin this four-game set here on Thursday. The Tigers had Wednesday off while the White Sox saw their game at Cleveland postponed. The Sox have a 2.5 game lead in the AL Central over the Cleveland Indians. The White Sox have lost two straight games but have won seven of their last 10. The Sox also have the best run differential in baseball with a +79 mark. Detroit is in fourth place in the Central with a 23-32 record. They trail the White Sox by 10-games and are 5-5 in their last 10 overall. Casey Mize will start for the Tigers. Mize is 3-3 in his 10 starts with a 3.28 ERA. He's been even better on the road where his ERA drops to 2.61 and his WHIP to 0.974. Mize has allowed just one run in each of his last three starts and four of his last five. Lance Lynn was scheduled to start Wednesday and now goes tonight. Lynn has been excellent this year with a 6-1 record, 1.37 ERA and 0.930 WHIP. Lynn has allowed just three total runs over his last five starts (28 innings). Should be a low scoring game with these two starters on the hill today. Play UNDER. |
|||||||
06-02-21 | Marlins v. Blue Jays UNDER 8.5 | 5-6 | Loss | -115 | 6 h 58 m | Show
Miami Marlins look to snap a 4-game losing skid here tonight against the Blue Jays. The Marlins are 5-games back of first place NY Mets. Strangely, the Marlins have the divisions best run differential at +6 runs. The Blue Jays are 5-5 over their last 10 games and sit in 4th in the AL East, 5.5-games back of the Rays. Miami sends Pablo Lopez to the hill. Lopez is 1-3 in his 11 starts but has a nifty 2.71 ERA on the season. Lopez has allowed just four total runs over his last 19 innings. The Jays will start Alek Manoah, who makes just his second start this year. Manoah went six strong innings in his first start, allowing no runs and just hits for the win over the Yankees. I like this game to be a tight, low scoring one. Play the UNDER. |

06-02-21 | Mets v. Diamondbacks OVER 8 | 7-6 | Win | 100 | 3 h 30 m | Show
The NL East 1st place NY Mets blew a 4-3 lead in the bottom of the 9th and lost in extra innings last night to Arizona. The Mets are still 3.5-games in first place. Arizona got a rare win last night, only their 2nd in their last 10 games. They also have the worst run differential in the NL West with a -52 and not surprisingly they are 14.5-games back of division leading San Francsico. The Mets will start David Peterson today. Peterson is 1-4 in nine starts with a 4.91 ERA. The D'backs will start Madison Bumgarner who is 4-5 in his 11 starts with a 5.15 ERA. Wood and the Giants just too good for the Angels here today. I'll take the home club here. Play San Francisco. |
|||||||
06-01-21 | Mets -112 v. Diamondbacks | 5-6 | Loss | -112 | 9 h 55 m | Show
The NY Mets have opened up a three-game lead in the NL East over the Braves thanks in part to a four-game win streak. The Mets are coming off a game 1 win over the D'backs, 6-2. The Mets have now allowed just eight runs over their last five games. Marcus Stroman will start for the Mets today. Stroman is 4-4 in his 10 starts with a 2.47 ERA. He's been ever better at home with a 2-1 record and a 2.02 ERA. The Arizona Diamonbacks are already out of the running in the competitive NL West. The D'backs are 15.5 games back of the Giants. Arizona has lost nine of their last 10 games. The will send Caleb Smith to the hill tonight. Hill is 0-1 in his only start, allowing five hits and three earned runs over three innings in a 0-7 loss to the Padres. Don't look for things to get better tonight against the 1st place Mets. Play New York. |
|||||||
06-01-21 | Twins -154 v. Orioles | 4-7 | Loss | -154 | 9 h 56 m | Show

The Twins have won seven of their last 10 games as they sit 10.5-games back in the AL Central. The O's have now lost 14 straight games and 18 of their last 19 as they sit in last place in the AL East, 17.5-games back of the Rays. The Twins will start Michael Pineda tonight. Pineda is 3-2 on the season with a 2.62 ERA. The O's will counter with Bruce Zimmermann who is 1-3 in his eight starts. Zimmermann has a 5.68 ERA and a slightly better 5.52 ERA at home. O's just can't get any breaks these days. I'll take the Twins here today. Play Minnesota. |
|||||||
05-31-21 | A's -122 v. Mariners | 5-6 | Loss | -122 | 7 h 47 m | Show
AL West action has the first place Oakland A's taking on the third place Seattle Mariners. The A's lead 2nd place Houston by 1.5 games and the M's by 3.5 games despite losing their last two. The Mariners having climbed to third place thanks to a four-game winning streak. The A's will start James Kaprielian. Kaprielian is 2-0 in his three starts with a 1.53 ERA and 0.905 WHIP. Kaprielian is coming off a seven inning outing over Seattle where he allowed the M's just two hits and no runs for the WIN. Logan Gilbert will start for the Mariners. Gilbert is 0-2 in his three starts with a 7.59 ERA. He's even a bit worse at home with a 9.45 ERA. I like the A's here with Kaprielian on the hill. Play Oakland. |
|||||||
05-31-21 | Red Sox v. Astros +101 | 2-11 | Win | 101 | 4 h 3 m | Show
The Boston Red Sox in a battle in the AL East with the Rays and Yankees. The Sox are in second place, 1-game back of the Rays. They have won three straight and seven of their last 10 games. The Houston Astros have dropped to 1.5-games back in the AL West behind the Oakland A's. The Astros are the only team in the West division with a positive run differential as they sit at +48 runs. Boston starts Eduardo Rodriguez today. Rodriguez is 5-3 in nine starts with a 5.06 ERA. Jose Urquidy will toe the rubber for the Astros. He's 3-2 in his eight starts with a 3.22 ERA and a slightly better 3.18 ERA at home. Urquidy hasn't allowed more than two runs in any of his last four starts. The Astros are home here with the better starter and as a small dog. I'll take that price and team. Play Houston. |
|||||||
05-31-21 | Rays +113 v. Yankees | 3-1 | Win | 113 | 1 h 58 m | Show
The NY Yankees have lost three straight games and have dropped back to third in the AL East, 4.5-games back of the Tampa Bay Rays. The Rays have won four straight and nine of their last 10 games to regain first in the East. The Rays also have the best run difference in the division with a +61. The Rays will start Rich Hill today. Hill is 3-2 in his 10 starts with a 3.63 ERA. Hill has not allowed more than two runs in any of his last six starts. The Yanks will send Jameson Taillon to the hill. Taillon is 1-3 in his nine starts with a 5.06 ERA. Rays a slight dog here today and as hot as they have been that make them a live dog. Play Tampa Bay. |
|||||||
05-30-21 | Royals v. Twins OVER 9.5 | 6-3 | Loss | -100 | 5 h 58 m | Show
vThe Kansas City Royals and Minnesota Twins both are trying to climb back in into the AL Central division. The Royals are 6.5 games back of the White Sox and the Twins are 10 games back. The Twins have won seven of their last 10 games to inch back closer. The Royals will start Brad Keller here today. Keller is 4-4 in his 10 starts with a 5.72 ERA and 1.730 WHIP. Matt Shoemaker will toe the rubber for the Twins today. Shoemaker has a 2-5 record in his nine starts with a 5.48 ERA and 1.413 WHIP. Shoemaker has been slightly worse at home, posting a 6.25 ERA and 1.516 WHIP. I like these two AL Central Middle dwellers to get some runs here today. I'm taking the OVER. |
|||||||
05-30-21 | Orioles v. White Sox -1.5 | 1-3 | Win | 100 | 3 h 21 m | Show
The Chicago White Sox have won three straight games and now sit atop of the AL Central by three games over the Indians. The Orioles, well they are in a free fall. The O's have lost 12 straight games and now are in last place in the AL East, 15.5 games back of first place. Not surprising, the O's will send Keegan Akin to the hill for his first start of the year. Akin was called up from Triple-A Norfolk on May 10th. Akin was 1-2 with a 4.56 ERA in August 2020, his first showing in the majors. The White Sox will counter with Lucas Giolito. Giolito is 4-4 in his 10 starts with a 4.04 ERA. He's been slightly better at home with a 3.19 ERA. Giolito has allowed one run or fewer in four of his last five starts. I like the White Sox in a romp here today. Play White Sox -1.5 Runs. |
|||||||
05-30-21 | Orioles v. White Sox OVER 8.5 | 1-3 | Loss | -100 | 3 h 20 m | Show
The Chicago White Sox have won three straight games and now sit atop of the AL Central by three games over the Indians. Giolito isn't as dominant as he has been in the past so he could give up some runs. However, I look for the Sox to get plenty of runs and this game go OVER. |
|||||||
05-29-21 | Marlins +142 v. Red Sox | 1-3 | Loss | -100 | 8 h 51 m | Show
Miami has played well of late, despite losing their last two games at Boston. The Marlins are 6-4 over their last 10 games. Miami is in fourth in the NL East with a 24-27 record, just 3.5-games back of the Mets. The Red Sox will be fighting the rest of the way with the Rays and Yankees. The Sox are a half game back of the Rays. Miami starts Trevor Rogers today. Rogers has been great for the fish with a 6-2 record in his 10 starts and a 1.75 ERA. He has not allowed more than one run in any of his last four starts and six of the last seven. Nathan Eovaldi is 5-2 for the Sox after 10 starts with a 4.23 ERA and 1.175 WHIP. Miami a decent dog here today and with Rogers on the hill I have to take a shot with the dog here today as Rogers will have them in this to the end. Play Miami. |
|||||||
05-29-21 | Marlins v. Red Sox UNDER 7.5 | 1-3 | Win | 100 | 5 h 52 m | Show
Miami has played well of late, despite losing their last two games at Boston. Two excellent starters here on Saturday. I'll take the UNDER. |
|||||||
05-29-21 | Padres -140 v. Astros | 11-8 | Win | 100 | 8 h 36 m | Show
The NL West is a 3-team race and the San Diego Padres at the top right now with a 1.5-game lead over the Dodgers and Giants. The Padres beat the Astros on Friday to make them 8-2 over their last 10 games. The Houston Astros have dropped to 2nd place in the AL West thanks to a 4-6 stretch over the last 10 games. The Padres will start rejuvenated Yu Darvish. Darvish has had some down seasons of late but he is doing great this year. Darvish is 5-1 in his 10 starts with a nifty 1.75 ERA and 0.892 WHIP. He's been even better on the road with a 2-0 record in his three starts with a 1.00 ERA. Darvish has not allowed more than two runs in any of his last nine starts. The Astros will turn to Jake Odorizzi. Odorizzi is 0-2 in his three starts with a lofty 10.14 ERA. He's been even worse in his two appearances with a 12.30 ERA. Padres playing great and with a strong pitcher on the hill. Play San Diego. |
|||||||
05-28-21 | Yankees v. Tigers UNDER 7 | 2-3 | Win | 100 | 6 h 13 m | Show
The Yankees are 7-3 over their last 10 games, yet they have fallen from first place in the AL East mainly because the TB Rays are 9-1 over their last 10 games. The Yankees are now 2-games back in the East in a three-game dogfight with the Rays and Red Sox. Detroit, well they are having another poor season. The Tigers are just 19-31 and in last place in the AL Central. They are already 10.5-games back in the division. One bright spot for the Tigers is tonight's starter, Casey Mize. Mize is just 3-3 in his nine starts, but has a very respectable 3.42 ERA. In fact, Mize has allowed just five total runs over his last four starts (26 innings). Won't be easy though as they face Yankees Ace Gerrit Cole. Cole is 6-2 in his 10 starts with a 1.81 ERA and 0.804 WHIP. Cole had a bad start two games ago, allowing five runs at Texas over five innings. He bounced back with a seven inning, no run allowed effort to the White Sox. If you exclude that five run game, Cole has allowed two earned runs or fewer in all other nine starts. Don't expect Detroit to get many if any runs here tonight. Mize should keep it close and that's why I'll be on the UNDER tonight. |
|||||||
05-27-21 | Giants +115 v. Dodgers | 3-4 | Loss | -100 | 9 h 27 m | Show
The Giants looking to get back into 1st place in the NL West after occupying that spot for much of the early season. The Giants have played well, winning seven of their last 10. But the Dodgers and Padres have played even better. The Giants will turn to former Dodger Alex Wood. Wood has been great with a 5-1 record in his seven starts with a 1.93 ERA. Wood has not allowed more than two runs in any of his seven starts. The Dodgers have been living on a 4-starter rotation, but tonight they get back what could be a key cog in David Price. Price went two innings against the Diamondbacks back on May 20th, allowing three hits and no runs. Price was on the IL with a hamstring injury and was expected to miss 6 to 8 weeks. Until I see how this long layoff has effected Price, I will not be on his side. Plus the Dodgers bullpen has been taking some injuries of late and you know Price won't go long tonight. Take San Francisco. |
|||||||
05-27-21 | Phillies v. Marlins -134 | 3-2 | Loss | -134 | 9 h 20 m | Show
Early game here on Thursday has the Philadelphia Phillies at the Miami Marlins. he Marlins took the contest between these teams on Wednesday, 4-2. The Marlins have been playing very well, winning seven of their last 10 games and moving into third place, just 1 1/2 games back of 1st play NY Mets. The Phillies have dropped seven of their last 10 games and also in the standings to 4th, two games back of first place. The NL East is the weakest among the divisions as first play New York is just 22-20. The Phillies will send Spencer Howard to the hill. Howard has just one start this year and he allowed two runs over three innings in a loss to Boston, 3-4. The Marlins will start Pablo Lopez. Lopez has been very good this year, though his 1-3 record doesn't reflect his success. Lopez has 10 starts and a 2.73 ERA. He's been great at home with a 0.61 ERA in five starts and a 0.910 WHIP. Lopez has allowed just two runs over his last 12 innings with two walks and 11 KO's. The Marlins playing great and have a excellent starter on the hill. Play Miami. |
|||||||
05-26-21 | Giants -115 v. Diamondbacks | 5-4 | Win | 100 | 19 h 4 m | Show
NL West action here on Wednesday Night as the 3rd place Giants take on the last place Diamondbacks. San Fran has been in first a good portion of this early season. However, with both the Padres and Dodgers winning nine of their last 10 games, the Giants have fallen to 1.5-games back in the division. The D'backs are now 13-games back in the division and falling fast as they have lost nine straight games. The Giants will start Johnny Cueto, who is 3-1 on the season with a 3.34 ERA. Arizona will start Merrill Kelly, who is 2-5 in his nine starts with a 5.05 ERA. Giants still a very good team while the D'back are already out of it in this competitive division. Play San Francisco. |
|||||||
05-26-21 | Padres -122 v. Brewers | 2-1 | Win | 100 | 8 h 21 m | Show
The Padres and Brewers have split the first two games of this series, with San Diego losing the opener 3-5 and winning last night, 7-1. The Padres hold a slim 1/2 game lead in the NL West over the Dodgers with both teams winning nine of their last 10 games. The Padres and Dodgers also both have the best run differential in baseball at a whopping +79 runs. The Brewers have dropped to third in the NL Central, two games back of the St Louis Cardinals. The Brewers are just 4-6 over their last 10 games. The Padres will start Chris Paddack tonight. Paddack is 2-3 in his eight starts, but has a nice 2.97 ERA. Paddack has been very good of late, allowing just two runs over his last three starts (13 innings). The Brewers will counter with Eric Lauer who is 1-1 after just two starts. Lauer has a nice 1.64 ERA in his two starts. Padres just too hot of a team right now to pass on a matchup like this one. I'll take the visitors here. Play San Diego |
|||||||
05-26-21 | Braves v. Red Sox -135 | 5-9 | Win | 100 | 8 h 51 m | Show
The Boston Red Sox have dropped out of first place in the AL East, now trailing the Tampa Bay Rays by a half game. The Red Sox have lost two straight games and are 6-4 over their last 10 games. The Atlanta Braves are in 2nd place in the NL East, one-game back of the NY Mets. The Braves have won four straight and are 6-4 over their last 10 games. Drew Smyly will start today for the Braves. Smyly is 2-2 in his seven starts with a 5.11 ERA. Nick Pivetta will put his perfect 5-0 record on the line today. Pivetta has a 3.59 ERA and a slightly better 3.16 ERA at Fenway Park. Both teams looking to regain the top spot in their respective divisions. I'm going to take the Sox here tonight. Play Boston. |
|||||||
05-25-21 | Rangers +138 v. Angels | 5-11 | Loss | -100 | 12 h 49 m | Show
The Texas Rangers won their third game in a row on Sunday to improve to 22-27 on the season as they sit 6-games back of the Oakland A's in the LA West. The LA Angels are in last in the West with a 20-27 record. The Rangers will begin this set with the Angels by starting Hyeon-Jong Yang. Yang is 0-1 in his two starts with a 3.12 ERA. Yang has 10 KO's against his five walks. The Angels will counter with Andrew Heaney. Heaney is 1-3 in his eight starts with a 5.31 ERA and 1.257 WHIP. Heaney has allowed nine earned runs ove rhis last 8 1/3 innings. I'll take the Rangers here this evening against a poor Angels team with a poor starter on the hill. Play Texas. |
|||||||
05-25-21 | Indians -135 v. Tigers | Top | 4-1 | Win | 100 | 9 h 20 m | Show |
The Cleveland Indians and Detroit Tigers began their set with the Indians pulling out a 1-run victory on Monday, 6-5. The Indians remained 1.5-games back of first place Chicago White Sox in the AL Central. Meanwhile, the Detroit Tigers have lost three in a row and are in last place in the division, 9.5-games back. Cleveland will start Aaron Civale today. Civale is having a fine season with a 6-1 record in his nine starts and a 3.30 overall ERA. He'll go against Detroit starter Tarik Skubal. Skubal is 1-5 in his seven starts with a 5.85 ERA. Have to lay a bit of a price here on the road, but the Indians with Civale looks like a mismatch to me. Play Cleveland. |
|||||||
05-24-21 | Padres v. Brewers -105 | 3-5 | Win | 100 | 17 h 4 m | Show
The Milwaukee Brewers host the San Diego Padres as these two teams open their series tonight. The Padres are in a dog fight in the NL West as they have taken over first place thanks to a 9-game winning streak. The Padres lead the Dodgers by 1-game and the Giants by 2-games. The Brewers have dropped to third in the NL Central, three-games back of division leading St Louis. The Brewers have won two straight games. The Padres start Blake Snell here tonight. Snell is 1-0 in his nine starts with the team just 4-5 in those same starts. Snell has pitched well with a 3.79 ERA, but that goes up to 6.75 on the road in his four away starts. The Brewers start Brandon Woodruff tonight. Woodruff is 2-2 in his nine starts, with the team 6-3 in those starts. Woodruff has been very solid with a 1.58 ERA and 0.737 WHIP overall this season. In fact, Woodruff hasn't allowed more than two runs in any start expect his opening day start where he allowed three runs. Moreover, in the other eight starts he's allowed one run or fewer in seven of those starts. The Padres are hot, but Woodruff has been the best the Brewers have and I'll take the host in this one. Play Milwaukee. |
|||||||
05-24-21 | Orioles +100 v. Twins | 3-8 | Loss | -100 | 17 h 3 m | Show
The Baltimore Orioles look to snap a six-game losing streak here tonight at Minnesota. The O's are the only team in the AL East with a negative run differential (-47). They sit 11-games back and look to be fading fast in a competitive East. The one brightspot for the O's is tonight's starter in John Means. Not only did Means toss a No-hitter on May 5th at Seattle, but he's 4-0 in his nine starts with a 1.70 ERA. He's been even better on the road with a 0.66 ERA in his six starts and a 3-0 record. The Twins held of the Indians last night for the road win at Cleveland, 5-4. The Twins are 5-5 in their last 10 games and are in last in the AL Central with a 17-29 record. Matt Shoemaker starts tonight with a 2-5 record and 6.08 ERA. His home ERA is even higher at 7.37 with an 0-4 record. These teams have identical records, but the difference tonight is a big one and that's starters. Take the Orioles. |
|||||||
05-24-21 | Phillies v. Marlins -120 | 6-9 | Win | 100 | 16 h 4 m | Show
The Philadelphia Phillies have struggled here of late, winning just three of their last 10 games. Still, they are just 1.5 games back of first place NY Mets in the NL East. The Marlins are right behind them, two-games back despite having a sub-.500 record at 22.24. The NL East looks to be the weakest of all MLB divisions. The Phils start Zach Eflin here today. Eflin is 2-3 in his nine starts with a 3.77 ERA. That goes up on the road where he has a 5.68 ERA over four starts. The Marlins will counter with Trevor Rogers. Rogers is 6-2 in nine starts with a nifty 1.74 ERA. That improves even more at home with a 1.69 ERA. Rogers has allowed just one run in each of his last three games. In fact, he's allowed six runs over his last five starts. Marlins look to have the big edge on the hill in this one. Play Miami. |
|||||||
05-24-21 | Rays v. Blue Jays OVER 10.5 | Top | 14-8 | Win | 100 | 11 h 30 m | Show |
AL East action early here on Monday has the Tampa Bay Rays taking on the Toronto Blue Jays. The Rays are red-hot, having won 10-straight games and have pulled into a tie in the East with the Red Sox for the top spot. The Blue Jays have lost five straight and dropped to fourth in the East, 4.5-games back of the Rays and Red Sox. The Rays have been a very good over team with a 27-20 O/U mark on the season. This game should be another high scoring affair. The Rays start Ryan Yarbrough who is 0-3 in five starts with a 6.28 ERA. He's even worse on the road with a 8.25 ERA. Yarbrough has just one of his five starts that he has seen fewer than five runs allowed and that was in his first start of the season. New isn't any better on the Jays side with 0-3 Ross Stripling toeing the rubber today. Stripling has a 7.20 ERA on the season and a 8.31 ERA at home. This one should see plenty of runs. Play the OVER. |

05-23-21 | Brewers -112 v. Reds | 9-4 | Win | 100 | 3 h 31 m | Show
NL Central action here on Sunday has the 3rd place Milwaukee Brewers taking on the 4th place Cincinnati Reds. The Brewers and Reds have both lost seven of their last 10 games as they have dropped in the standings. The Brewers are now 4-games back of the Cardinals while the Reds are 5.5-games back. Freddy Peralta starts for the Brewers with a 4-1 record after eight starts. Peralta has a 2.51 ERA and 0.814 WHIP. Moreover, he's allowed no runs over his last 13 innings with 2 walks and 16 KO's. Luis Castillo has struggled a lot for the Reds. Castillo is 1-6 after nine starts with a 7.44 ERA and 1.795 WHIP. He's also allowed 15 runs over his last 12 2/3 innings of work. I'll take the road team here with the much better starter on the hill. Play Milwaukee. |
|||||||
05-23-21 | Twins v. Indians -138 | Top | 8-5 | Loss | -138 | 3 h 31 m | Show |
AL Central clash today between 2nd place Cleveland Indians and the last place Minnesota Twins. Disappointing season thus far for the Twins as they sit in last place with a 16-29 record and 10.5 games back of the White Sox. The Indians are 24-19 and in second place, 1.5 games back of the White Sox. The Twins start J.A. Happ today who is 2-2 after seven starts with a 5.35 ERA. He's been even worse on the road with a 1-1 record and 7.54 ERA. Zach Plesac will toe the rubber for the Indians. Plesac is 4-3 after nine starts with a 3.93 ERA. He's been a bit better at home with a 2.93 ERA. Twins don't install much confidence in me. However, the Indians do, especially with a solid Plesac on the hill. Take Cleveland |
|||||||
05-22-21 | Diamondbacks -113 v. Rockies | 6-7 | Loss | -113 | 5 h 47 m | Show
The Arizona Diamondbacks have lost six straight games and nine of their last 10 games to drop to 4th in the NL West, 10.5 games back of the Giants and Padres. The only team behind them? That would be today's opponent, Colorado. The Rockies are 12 games back in the NL West after a 4-6 record their last 10 games. The D'backs will start Madison Bumgarner today. He has a 4-3 record in his nine starts with a 4.15 ERA. Bumgarner has been very good of late, allowing no more than two runs in any of his last six starts. Antonio Senzatela will go for the Rockies today. Senzatela is 1-4 in his eight starts with a 5.18 ERA. Two teams both looking to go no where the way they are playing this year. But Bumgarner has looked good and I will take him here today. Play Arizona. |
|||||||
05-21-21 | Dodgers v. Giants +117 | 2-1 | Loss | -100 | 12 h 35 m | Show
This is a tough NL West matchup tonight as the 1st place San Francisco Giants take on the surging LA Dodgers. The Giants are holding a 1-game lead over the Padres and 2-games over the Dodgers. The Giants have won five straight and eight of 10 games. The Dodgers have won four straight and eight of the last 10. Trevor Bauer has been solid for LA thus far with a 4-2 record in nine starts and a 2.20 ERA. Ex-Dodger Alex Wood will toe the rubber for the Giants. Wood is 5-0 in his six starts with a 1.75 ERA. I'm looking at the value here and that's on the home dog Giants. |
|||||||
05-21-21 | Rays -146 v. Blue Jays | 9-7 | Win | 100 | 9 h 27 m | Show
The Tampa Bay Rays have run their win streak to seven games as they begin this series with the Blue Jays. The Rays swept Baltimore and and the Mets. Toronto looks to snap a two-game losing streak after dropping their last two to the Red Sox. The Rays will start Tyler Glasnow tonight. Glasnow is 4-2 in his nine starts with a 2.35 ERA. He's been about the same on the road with a 2-1 record and 2.51 ERA. The Rays will turn to Anthony Kay who is 0-2 in his three starts with a 6.35 ERA and 1.324 WHIP. Rays are hot and they have a solid pitcher on the hill. Play Tampa Bay. |
|||||||
05-20-21 | Red Sox +126 v. Blue Jays | 8-7 | Win | 126 | 8 h 43 m | Show
The Red Sox holding onto that first place in the AL East, but just by one game over Tampa Bay and 1 1/2 games over Toronto. The Blue Jays have won seven of their last 10 games while the Red Sox are 5-5 over their last 10 games. The Sox start Nick Pivetta today. Pivetta is a perfect 5-0 in his eight starts with a 3.16 ERA. He's been about as good on the road with a 3-0 record in three starts with a 3.18 ERA. The Jays will start ex-Met starter Steven Matz. Matz is 5-2 over his eight starts with a 4.29 ERA. Getting the Red Sox as a nice little dog here tonight. I give edges to the Sox overall and in starters. Play Boston. |
|||||||
05-19-21 | Marlins +114 v. Phillies | 3-1 | Win | 114 | 10 h 14 m | Show
Miami Marlins dropped their game at Philly on Tuesday, 3-8. The loss dropped the Marlins to 18-23 on the season and 4.5 games back of the NY Mets in the NL East. The win by Philly brought them one game closer to the Mets as they sit second in the East just one game back of first place. The Marlins will turn to Trevor Rogers here today. Rogers is 5-2 on the season with a 1.84 ERA. He's been good on the road too with a 3-1 record, 1.93 ERA and 1.071 WHIP. Rogers has allowed just two total runs over his last 11 innings of work. The Phils will counter with Zach Eflin. Eflin is 2-2 on the season with a 3.86 ERA and 1.169 WHIP. He is coming off a five run outing at Washington where he absorbed the loss. Rogers has been very good and I will take the Marlins as a small, live dog on Wednesday. Play Miami. |
|||||||
05-19-21 | Rays v. Orioles +107 | Top | 9-7 | Loss | -100 | 10 h 14 m | Show |
The Tampa Bay Rays have closed to just one-game back of the Red Sox for the lead in the crowded AL East. The top five teams are all within 1 1/2 games of first place. Only the Orioles are seven games back. The Rays beat the O's on Tuesday evening, 13-6. The toughest game of this set is here though for the Rays. They have to face Baltimore ace John Means. Not only did Means toss a no-hitter at Seattle back on May 5th, but he has now run his scoreless inning streak to 15 innings. In fact, if you go back five starts, he allowed just three runs over 35 1/3 innings. The Rays will counter with Ryan Yarbrough. Yarbrough is 0-3 on the season with a 6.75 ERA and 1.544 WHIP. Harbrough has allowed 11 runs over his last 12 innings of work. Huge advantage here today to the Orioles. If they win a game in this series, this is the one. Play Baltimore. |
|||||||
05-18-21 | Indians +116 v. Angels | 6-5 | Win | 116 | 11 h 25 m | Show
The Cleveland Indians look to snap a 4-game losing streak tonight at the LA Angels. The Indians have dropped to 2nd place int he AL Central, 3.5-games back of the 1st place White Sox. The LA Angels have won two games in a row and are 5-5 over their last 10 games. They are in 4th place in the AL West, 6-games back of the Oakland A's. The Indians will start Zach Plesac tonight who is 3-3 after eight starts with a 3.56 ERA and 0.958 WHIP. Plesac has pitched well of late, allowing two total runs over his last 21 2/3 innings. Andrew Heaney will toe the rubber for the Angels tonight. Heaney is 1-3 in his seven starts with a 4.75 ERA and 1.139 WHIP. Heaney is coming off a loss at Houston where he allowed five runs over 5 1/3 innings. Both teams need a win here tonight, but Indians have the better starter. Play Cleveland. |
|||||||
05-18-21 | Brewers -1.5 v. Royals | 0-2 | Loss | -106 | 11 h 51 m | Show
Milwaukee and Kansas City begin their series here tonight. The Brewers 4-6 record over their last 10 games has seen them slip to 2nd in the NL Central, two-games back of the Cardinals. The Royals have been in a slide for a while now, the latest a 2-8 mark over their last 10 games. The Royals are in 3rd in the AL Central, but seven games back of division leading Chicago White Sox. The Brewers will start Brandon Woodruff tonight. Woodruff is 2-1 in his eight starts with a 1.64 ERA and 0.730 WHIP. Woodruff has put up even better numbers on the road, posting a 0.70 ERA over his four away starts and a 0.506 WHIP. Kris Bubic will get another look as the No. 5 starter here on Tuesday. Bubic has worked out of the pen but this will be his first major league start. I will stick with a very good Woodruff today against a struggling Royals team. Play the Brewers -1.5 Runs. |
|||||||
05-18-21 | Giants +108 v. Reds | 4-2 | Win | 108 | 17 h 35 m | Show
The Giants took game one of their series with the Reds on Monday, 6-3. The win kept the Giants in 1st place in the NL West with a 25-16 record. The Giants have won two in a row and seven of their last 10 games. The Giants will start Anthony Desclafani here today. Desclafani is 3-1 in his eight starts with a nifty 2.14 ERA and 0.885 WHIP. The Reds fell to 4th in the NL Central, though they are still just three-games back of division leading St Louis. The Reds will start Luis Castillo here today. Castillo is 1-5 in his eight starts with a lofty 7.71 ERA and 1.795 WHIP. He's been slightly better at home with a 5.49 ERA. Castillo has allowed 12 runs over his last 7 2/3 innings. I have to stick with the Giants here again today. Play San Francisco. |
|||||||
05-17-21 | Mets v. Braves UNDER 8 | 3-1 | Win | 100 | 18 h 33 m | Show
The NL East leading NY Mets travel to Atlanta to begin their series against the Braves. The Mets have lost three straight games after winning seven in a row. They are also in first place despite having a -10 run differential. The Braves are in 3rd in the East with a 19-21 record and have a -15 run differential. The Mets have been an excellent under team this year with a 12-19-2 O/U mark. The Mets average just 3.6 rpg while allowing 3.7 rpg. Taijuan Walker looks to start today for the Mets. Walker is 3-1 in his seven starts with a 2.20 ERA. Walker has allowed just one total run over his last 14 innings. The Braves will turn to Max Fried. Fried is 1-1 with a 6.55 ERA in his five starts. However, he has been very good of late, allowing two total runs over his last 11 innings. Even if these pitchers one or both are replaced here on Monday, I will take this game UNDER the total as the Mets are one of the better under teams. Play UNDER. |
|||||||
05-17-21 | Giants v. Reds -134 | 6-3 | Loss | -134 | 17 h 2 m | Show
The Cincinnati Reds have won two straight games to improve to the .500 mark at 19-19 on the year. The Reds will start Sonny Gray who is still looking for that first win of the season after five starts. Gary, 0-2 on the season, has a 3.55 ERA and is even better at home with a 1.59 ERA at home after two starts. San Francisco kept its half game lead in the NL West over the Padres by winning on Sunday. The Giants will turn to Logan Webb here today. Webb is 2-3 after seven starts with a 4.86 ERA. He's been worse on the road with a 7.58 ERA after four starts. I will take the Reds here at home over a poor road starter in Webb. Play Cincinnati. |
|||||||
05-16-21 | Cardinals v. Padres UNDER 7 | 3-5 | Loss | -120 | 17 h 23 m | Show
The Cardinals lost their second straight game after dropping Saturday's contest at San Diego. The Cards remain in first in the NL Central with a 3-game lead over 2nd place Milwaukee. The Padres closed with within a half game of first place San Francisco with their win. The Cardinals will start Kwang-Hyun Kim today. Kim is 1-0 in his five starts with the Cardinals winning all five of his outings. Kim has a 2.74 ERA and 1.261 Whip. Kim has allowed just one run in each of his last four outings. The Padres will counter withy Ryan Weathers. Weathers is 0-0 after three starts with a 0.00 ERA and 0.580 WHIP. Weathers only went one inning in his last start but has gone as long as 5 2/3 innings. Weathers has nine KO's against four walks. Both pitchers have been good and while Saturday's contest had a combined 16 runs, I look for far less than that here today. Play the UNDER. |
|||||||
05-16-21 | Angels v. Red Sox -143 | Top | 6-5 | Loss | -143 | 3 h 52 m | Show |
The Boston Red Sox have won three straight games and seven of their last 10 games as they sit atop the AL East division by 2-games over the Yankees. The Sox look to sweep their series with the Angles today and they will turn to Nathan Eovaldi to do that. Eovaldi is 4-2 in his eight starts with a 4.00 ERA and 1.134 WHIP. The LA Angels have lost four straight games and fallen to last in the AL West with a 16-22 record. Jose Quintana will start today for the Halos. Quintana is 0-3 in his six starts with a whopping 9.00 ERA and 2.143 WHIP. The news is even worse on the road where his is 0-2 with a 18.00 ERA and 3.400 WHIP. Boston hits lefties really well and Quintana is going to be fodder for this Sox lineup today. Play Boston. |
|||||||
05-16-21 | Giants -1.5 v. Pirates | 4-1 | Win | 107 | 11 h 20 m | Show
The San Francisco Giants two-game losing streak has seen their NL West lead go from 2.5 games to just 1/2 game as of today. No team in the West is really hot, with none winning more than six games in the last 10. Still, the Giants face dropping out of the lead today with a loss and Padres win. Alex Wood looks to stem the tide here today. Wood is 4-0 in his five starts with a nifty 1.80 ERA and 0.800 WHIP. The Pirates are in last place in the NL Central with a 17-22 record. They have won two straight games though. The Bucs have the worst run differential in the National league at -41 runs. Mitch Keller will toe the rubber for Pittsburgh. Keller is 2-4 after seven starts with a lofty 7.81 ERA. It doesn't get any better at home where he is 1-3 in four starts with a 12.22 ERA. The Giants get back in the win column here today. Play San Francisco -1.5 Runs. |
|||||||
05-15-21 | Cardinals v. Padres UNDER 7 | 3-13 | Loss | -100 | 20 h 42 m | Show
The St Louis Cardinals remain atop the NL Central division despite losing at San Diego on Friday night. The Cardinals have won seven of their last 11 games and are 23-16 on the season. The San Diego Padres closed within one game of NL West leading San Francisco. The Padres start Chris Paddack tonight. Paddack is 1-3 on the season with a 3.42 ERA. He's been slightly better at home with a 3.00 ERA in two starts despite losing both games. Adam Wainwright will start for the Cardinals. Wainwright is 2-3 on the season with a 3.80 ERA. He's coming off a very good start where he allowed no runs and just three hits over 8 2/3 innings to the Rockies. Both pitchers are above average and I'll take the UNDER here today. Play UNDER. |
|||||||
05-15-21 | Cardinals +121 v. Padres | 3-13 | Loss | -100 | 10 h 49 m | Show
The St Louis Cardinals look to rebound from their loss to San Diego last night. The Cards are still in first place in the NL Central with a 23-16 record and lead 2nd place Milwaukee by three-games. The Padres win closed them to within 1.5 games of first place San Francisco in the NL West. The Padres will start Chris Paddack tonight. Paddack is 1-3 in his six starts with a 3.42 ERA. Adam Wainwright counters for the Cardinals tonight. Wainwright is 2-3 in his seven starts with a 3.80 ERA. He's also coming off a fine start where he allowed just three hits and no runs over 8 1/3 innings to the Rockies. We get the Cards as a dog here tonight. I'll take that live dog. Play St Louis. |
|||||||
05-15-21 | Royals v. White Sox -1.5 | Top | 5-1 | Loss | -100 | 8 h 18 m | Show |
The Kansas City Royals looking for an answer to their recent slide which has seen the team lost nine of their last 10 games. Won't get any easier today against the AL Central leading White Sox. The Sox have won eight of their last 10 games and have arguably the best AL pitcher on the hill today in Carlos Rondon. Rondon is 5-0 in his five starts with a amazing 0.58 ERA and 0.677 WHIP. No need to look any further than that for this game. I can't lay the money line, but I will lay the run line here today. Play Chicago -1.5 runs. |
|||||||
05-15-21 | Angels v. Red Sox +106 | 0-9 | Win | 106 | 5 h 18 m | Show
The Boston Red Sox have won two straight games and lead the AL East by two games over the Yankees. The LA Angels have lost three in a row and seven of their last 10 games and find themselves in last in the AL West. The Angels allow a whopping 5.6 runs per game while scoring just 4.5 runs. They will start Dylan Bundy today who is 0-4 in his seven starts. Bunday has a 5.03 overall ERA and is coming off a 3 1/3 inning performance vs the Dodgers where he allowed six runs. The Sox will counter with Martin Perez. Perez is 0-2 in his seven starts with a 4.01 ERA. Perez coming off four good starts where he has allowed two runs or fewer in each start. Not sure why the Angels moved to a small favorite in this game considering how they are playing and with a poor starter on the hill. I'll take the Sox today. Play Boston. |
|||||||
05-15-21 | A's +126 v. Twins | 4-5 | Loss | -100 | 15 h 7 m | Show
The Oakland A's took game one of this series with the Minnesota Twins on Friday, 6-1. The win improved the A's to 24-16 on the season. Meanwhile, the Twins lost their fifth in a row after Friday night to drop to 12-23 on the season. The A's will start Cole Irvin who is 3-4 on the season with a 3.29 ERA. The Twins will counter with Jose Berrios who is 3-2 on the season with a 3.49 ERA. Berrios hasn't been any better at home with a 5.63 ERA in his three starts. Twins continue to have problems getting on track. I don't expect that to happen tonight either. Play Oakland. |
|||||||
05-14-21 | Angels v. Red Sox -120 | 3-4 | Win | 100 | 7 h 40 m | Show
The LA Angels have struggled this year to a 16-20 and AL West last place slot. The Angels have lost two straight games and seven of their last 10 games. Won't get any easier here today in Boston, where the Red Sox are in 1st place in the AL East with a 23-16 record. They have won six of 10 games. The Angels will start Griffin Canning. Canning is 2-2 after five starts with a 4.95 ERA and 1.437 WHIP. He's been a bit worse on the road where he is 1-2 with a 6.00 ERA. The Sox will start Nick Pivetta. Nick is a perfect 5-0 after seven starts with a 3.19 ERA. Surprised this line isn't higher on the Sox who are at home with the much better starter. But that's ok, I'll take them. Play Boston. |
|||||||
05-14-21 | Giants v. Pirates UNDER 7.5 | 2-3 | Win | 100 | 8 h 57 m | Show
The surprising San Francisco Giants continue to lead the NL West by 2.5 games over the Dan Diego Padres. The Giants have won three straight and seven of their last 10 games. They will start Kevin Gausman today who is 3-0 after seven starts with a 1.97 ERA and 0.854 WHIP. Gausman has been even better on the road with a 2-0 mark and a 1.05 ERA. The Pittsburgh Pirates are in last place in the NL Central with a 15-22 record, 7.5 games back of the Cardinals. They have lost two straight and seven of their last 10. Rookie pitcher Miguel Yajure is now expected to start today for the Bucs. This will be his second major league start. His first start coming earlier this season where he went 4.1 innings and allowed four runs and four hits. Yajure is one of the top prospects in the Bucs system. I like this game to be low scoring today. Play UNDER. |
|||||||
05-13-21 | Indians -119 v. Mariners | 4-2 | Win | 100 | 11 h 57 m | Show
The Cleveland Indians are in 2nd place in the AL Central, just one game back of the White Sox. The Indians are 8-2 over their last 10 games and bring a three-game win streak to Seattle tonight. The Mariners have dropped to third place in the AL West after losing four straight and seven of their last 10 games. The Indians will start Zach Plesac tonight. Plesac is 2-3 in his seven starts with a 3.82 ERA and 1.025 WHIP. Plesac has been very good of late, allowing no runs over his last 13 2/3 innings with 13 KO's and just four walks. Logan Gilbert makes his first start of the season for the Mariners. Gilbert, a top pitching prospect of the M's, has been called up by the Mariners for this start. Until I see Gilbert pitch I'll go with the proven starter in this one. Play Cleveland. |
|||||||
05-13-21 | Marlins -123 v. Diamondbacks | 5-1 | Win | 100 | 10 h 37 m | Show
The Miami Marlins continue their West coast trip here tonight in Arizona. This will be the final game of this 4-game set with the D'backs. The Marlins are 1-2 in the three games in Arizona and have scored just eight total runs in the three games. The Marlins will start Trevor Rogers tonight. Rogers is 4-2 in his seven starts with a 1.89 ERA and 1.079 WHIP. He's been just as good on the road with a 2.05 ERA and 1.091 WHIP in his four away starts. Merrill Kelly will toe the rubber for the D'backs tonight. Rogers is 2-3 in his seven starts with a 5.40 ERA. He's been very good at home with a 1-0 record in his two starts with a 2.31 ERA and 1.285 ERA. I like the Marlins starter a lot here tonight. Play Miami. |
|||||||
05-13-21 | Twins v. White Sox -130 | Top | 2-4 | Win | 100 | 11 h 23 m | Show |
The Chicago White Sox are in 1st place in the AL Central, one game ahead of the Cleveland Indians. The Sox have won five straight games and seven of their last 10. The Sox have baseballs best run differential at +64 thanks to a big hitting ball club. Especially against lefties where they are 8-1 this year. The Sox have also won five straight games. Now they face a Twins team that is struggling , losing three in a row and seven of their last 10 games. They were pummeled on Wednesday by the Sox, 8-13. Michael Pineda has pitched well for the Twins, going 2-1 after six starts with a 2.43 ERA. However, Carlos Rondon has been amazing this year with a 5-0 record after five starts with a 0.58 ERA and 0.677 WHIP. He has not allowed more than one run in any of his five starts. I'm coming right back with the White Sox here on Thursday. Play Chicago. (Note: pitching change as Lynn now going for White Sox. This play still stays same for Jim) |
|||||||
05-12-21 | Twins v. White Sox -135 | Top | 8-13 | Win | 100 | 18 h 56 m | Show |
The White Sox should be happy to see Minnesota Pitcher J.A. Happ here today. Why? Happ is a lefty. The White Sox have killed lefty pitchers this year at a MLB best 7-1 on the year. In fact, this even goes back to last season. Conversely, they have been held scoreless in 14 consecutive innings by right handed pitchers. The plain fact is that the Sox beat up on lefties. Happ has been very good this year with a 2-0 record in his five starts with a 1.91 ERA and 0.847 WHIP. Dallas Keuchel is 1-1 for the Sox with a 3.55 ERA in his seven starts. Keuchel has also allowed just four total runs over his last 19 innings of work. Tough to go against Happ the way he's pitching, but the Sox record against lefties is too hard to pass on here. Play Chicago. |
|||||||
05-12-21 | Phillies v. Nationals UNDER 8.5 | 5-2 | Win | 100 | 6 h 35 m | Show
Philadelphia looks to build on their one-game win streak after taking Tuesday's game against the Nationals, 6-2. It was the team's sixth win in their last eight games. Philly will send Zach Wheeler to the hill today. Wheeler is 3-2 in his seven starts with a 2.83 ERA and 0.965 WHIP. Washington dropped to 13-18 after losing its third straight game on Tuesday. The Nationals are one of the better under teams too, going 10-20-1 O/U on the season. That's in big part to an anemic offense that averages just 3.6 rpg. Veteran Jon Lester will toe the rubber today. Lester is 0-1 in his two starts with a 2.70 ERA and 1.300 WHIP. I'm looking at a lower scoring game here today. Play UNDER. |
|||||||
05-11-21 | A's +117 v. Red Sox | 3-2 | Win | 117 | 9 h 23 m | Show
The Oakland A's had Monday off while the Boston Red Sox lost at Baltimore, 1-4. The A's took two of three games from their weekend series with the Rays. Chris Bassitt gets the start here today. He's 2-2 in his seven starts with a 3.70 ERA and 1.210 WHIP. Bassitt has been very consistent, allowing two runs in each of his last five games. The Sox loss on Monday dropped them to 22-14 and snapped their four-game win streak. Nathan Eovaldi will toe the rubber today for the Sox. Eovaldi is 4-2 in his seven starts with a 4.39 ERA and 1.205 WHIP. He's been a bit worse at Fenway, posting a 5.14 ERA and 1.286 WHIP. I'll take the live dog in this one Tuesday. Play Oakland. |
|||||||
05-11-21 | Orioles v. Mets UNDER 6.5 | 2-3 | Win | 100 | 9 h 23 m | Show
Interleague action here on Tuesday has the Baltimore Orioles at the NY Mets. The Orioles won on Monday and that improved them to 16-19 overall on the season. The Mets saw their win streak go to five games after Monday's win and now are 16-13. Both these teams have been very good under teams on the season. The O's are 11-23-1 O/U and the Mets are 10-17-2 O/U on the year. This is in part to offenses that score less than four runs a game but also to some excellent starting pitching. The O's will send John Means to the hill today. Means is 4-0 with a 1.37 ERA and 0.674. He's coming off a complete game win over the Mariners where he got a No-Hitter and had 12 walks. Means got the first No-hitter for the Orioles in over 30 years. The Mets Marcus Stroman will toe the rubber with his 2.12 ERA and 1.029 WHIP with a 3-3 record. Both these starters are excellent and for me I'm taking this game UNDER. |
|||||||
05-10-21 | Red Sox v. Orioles OVER 9 | 1-4 | Loss | -102 | 7 h 4 m | Show
The Boston Red Sox have won four straight games and sit atop the East division of the AL with a 22-13 record. The Sox have scored more runs then any team in baseball with 187. Lopez is 1-2 after three starts with a 8.56 ERA and 1.317 WHIP. Hard not to back a red-hot A's team with the better pitcher on the mound today. Play Oakland. |

04-22-21 | Padres v. Dodgers UNDER 8 | 3-2 | Win | 100 | 12 h 28 m | Show
The Padres hope their trip to LA turns out a bit better then their homestand against the Dodgers last week in which they won just a single game. Both these teams have been excellent under plays with the Padres having a 6-14 O/U record and the Dodgers at 6-12 O/U. This is in big part to excellent pitching staffs. The Pads start Ryan Weathers today. Weathers has just one start and he went 3 2/3 innings against the Dodgers with one hit and no runs. The Dodgers start Walker Buehler who has three starts with a 2.00 ERA and 1.000 WHIP. Both pitchers should hold well here today and turn over the ball to very good pens. Play the UNDER. |

04-22-21 | Marlins v. Giants UNDER 8.5 | 0-3 | Win | 100 | 12 h 3 m | Show
Miami Marlins look to get back to the .500 mark here today as they play at San Francisco. The Marlins are 8-9 on the season and have a 7-9-1 O/U mark. The Giants are 11-7 after losing their last game. The Giants allow just 3.3 rpg while averaging just 3.7 rpg. No wonder they have a 6-12 O/U mark on the season. Daniel Castano starts for the fish with a 0-0 record after just one start. He started against these Giants last week and went five innings allowing three hits and one run. Aaron Sanchez will toe the rubber today for the Giants. Sanchez is 0-1 after three starts but has a nifty 2.45 ERA. Both pitchers are decent and the Giants like low scoring games. Play UNDER. |

04-22-21 | Yankees v. Indians -103 | 6-3 | Loss | -103 | 8 h 29 m | Show
To say the Yankees fans are frustrated with their team is a big understatement. The Yankees are out to a paltry 6-11 mark and the offense has been less than stellar as they average just 3.5 runs per game. The Yankees haven't scored more than three runs in any of their last five games and seven of their last eight. Domingo German starts for the Yankees today. He's 0-2 after two starts with a 9.00 ERA and 2.000 WHIP. The Indians dropped back to .500 after a loss last time out. Aaron Civale starts for the Tribe. He has a 3-0 record after three starts with a nice 2.18 ERA and 0.726 WHIP. Big difference between these starters here today and with the Yankees not finding their way yet - I'll take the host here. Play Cleveland. |

04-21-21 | Twins v. A's -108 | 12-13 | Win | 100 | 3 h 40 m | Show
The Minnesota Twins look to snap a 3-game losing streak here today at Oakland. The Twins have dropped to 6-10 on the season. They will start Kenta Maeda today who has three starts and a 1-1 record. Maeda has a 3.07 ERA and 1.705 WHIP. The A's are red hot, winning 10 straight games to improve to 11-7 on the season. Frankie Monta will start for the A's. Monta has a 2-1 record after three starts with a 4.91 ERA and 1.363 ERA. I will take the hot A's here tonight. Play Oakland. |

04-21-21 | Giants v. Phillies UNDER 8.5 | 5-6 | Loss | -120 | 13 h 20 m | Show
The Giants beat the Phillies on Tuesday to improve to 11-6 on the season. The Giants have also been a great under team this year with 12 of their 17 games going UNDER. That is in big part to an excellent pitching staff that has allowed just 2.9 runs per game. Anthony Desclafani has three starts for the Giants with a nifty 1.06 ERA and 1.059 WHIP. He's allowed just two earned runs over his last 17 innings. The Phillies dropped to 8-9 with their loss on Tuesday. The Phils send Zach Eflin to the hill today. Eflin has three starts and is 1-0 with a 3.15 ERA and 0.950 WHIP. I like this game to go under here early on Wednesday. Take UNDER. |

04-20-21 | Brewers +102 v. Padres | 6-0 | Win | 102 | 12 h 38 m | Show
Milwaukee Brewers beat the Padres on Monday night and that lifted their record to 9-7 on the season. The Brewers have had excellent pitching, allowing just 3.3 runs per game. They have a excellent pitcher toeing the rubber here today in Corbin Burnes. Burns has a 1-1 record after three starts with a 0.49 ERA. He allowed one run in his opening start and since then no runs over his last 12 innings with just three hits, 19 KO's and no walks. The Padres of have slipped of late after losing two of three to the Dodgers and then opening with a loss in this series. They have dropped to 10-8, but also have a excellent pitching staff which allows just 3.3 runs per game. Chris Paddock starts tonight for the Pads with a 1-1 record after three starts and a 4.15 ERA. I really like the Brewers pitcher who has been amazing with his control and just not giving up runs. Play Milwaukee. |

04-20-21 | Blue Jays -101 v. Red Sox | 2-4 | Loss | -101 | 4 h 14 m | Show
Toronto Blue Jays look to get back to the .500 mark as they have dropped to 7-9 after losing two straight games. The Jays are only averaging 4.1 runs per game but they are allowing just 3.6 rpg. Hyun-Jin Ryu gets the start for the Jays today. Ryu has a nifty 1.89 ERA over his first three starts. He's allowed just four total runs and none in his last start. Eduardo Rodriquez starts for the Red Sox. Rodriquez has two starts and is 2-0 with a 3.60 ERA. Two good pitchers, but I favor Ryu in this matchup. Play Toronto. |

04-19-21 | Dodgers v. Mariners OVER 8 | 3-4 | Loss | -116 | 11 h 19 m | Show
Despite losing on Sunday to the Padres, the Dodgers still have the best record in baseball at 13-3. Thanks in large part to their +38 run differential. The Dodgers have scored 90 runs in their 16 games, second only to the Cincinnati Reds. The Seattle Mariners have been a surprise thus far, as they lead the AL West with a 10-6 record. The M's have won seven of their last 10 games. All this despite giving up more runs then they have scored. Dustin May starts for the Dodgers today. He's 2-0 in his two starts with a 1.74 ERA. The M's will start Justus Sheffield who is 0-1 after his two starts. Sheffield has a 4.91 ERA. Might get ugly against this great hitting Dodgers team today for Sheffield. I'm going to play OVER. |

04-18-21 | Astros v. Mariners OVER 9 | 2-7 | Push | 0 | 5 h 59 m | Show
Houston got back to the .500 mark at 7-7 after their win over Seattle on Saturday. They are 9-5 O/U thanks to an offense that averages 5.0 rpg. Jake Odorizzi hasn't pitched well for the Astros with a 0-1 record and 13.51 ERA with 2.102 WHIP. Seattle is 9-6 despite allowing more runs per game (4.7) then they score (4.2). Nick Margevicius starts today with a 0-0 record after one start. He went just 3 innings against the Orioles, allowing six hits and six runs. I'm taking the OVER between these teams today. Play OVER. |
