10-30-19 | Nationals +123 v. Astros | 6-2 | Win | 123 | 12 h 26 m | Show
DMack's World Series Game Seven Super Play winner is the Washington Nationals (Scherzer/Greinke Listed) Max Scherzer returns after a neck problem. He looked good throwing in the pen and doesn't figure to have problems here. Scherzer is 3-1 with a 2.16 ERA in his L5, four were starts. He's 3-1 with a 3.38 ERA in 7 starts against the Astros. Greinke is 0-2 with a 5.30 ERA in his four post-season starts this year, he's 3-6 with a 4.31 ERA in his 15 playoff starts. Grienke has excellent numbers against the Nats (6-1, 1.27) but faces a team that is 19-5 L24 and has seemingly gotten off whatever three-game schneid with the bats that they suffered through in Washington. The road team has won all six games but at this point, a one-game championship game, it comes down to the starters and timely hitting. Give me Scherzer and the Nats. |

10-29-19 | Nationals +165 v. Astros | 7-2 | Win | 165 | 14 h 51 m | Show
DMack's World Series Game Six Super Play is on the Washington Nationals (Strasburg/Verlander Listed) The road team has won all five games of this series, the only other times that it has happened was 1906 and 1996. Justin Verlander is plain and simple the Clayton Kershaw of the World Series, 0-5 with a 5.73 ERA in six starts, the absolute worst of the modern era. Strasburg 4-0 with a 2.42 ERA in his L5 post-season starts, 2-0 with a 1.80 ERA vs. Houston this year. The Nats touched Verlander up for three runs in the first inning of Game II but have also scored just three runs in the last three games combined. The question here is whether the Nats can get to Verlander or will No.35 make amends for past World Series failures. The Nats force a Game 7 with a 4-2 kind of win. |
|||||||
10-26-19 | Astros v. Nationals -103 | 8-1 | Loss | -103 | 8 h 16 m | Show
DMack's World Series Game IV Super Play is on the Washington Nats (Corbin Listed) This is a bull pen game for Houston who are rolling the dice to get full rest for their aces. Uriquidy (or whoever starts) makes no difference here however the Strohs could be light on arms with Harris having to get five outs last night. Washington had a whole lot of traffic on the base paths but for the first time in a long time, failed to get anyone home with two out. IMO, that was an aberration and lets not forget that the Nats are 17-3 L20 and that the Houston pen was used hard last night. Patrick Corbin was nails in his first year as a Nat but has not been given the opportunity to shine yet in the playoffs having been pretty much forced into a utility role. He shines here. |
|||||||
10-25-19 | Astros v. Nationals +127 | 4-1 | Loss | -100 | 33 h 59 m | Show
Mack Attack Astros/Nats World Series Game III Super Play is on the Washington Nationals (Sanchez/Greinke) With two games in their pocket, the Nats can give Anibal Sanchez a pretty long leash. If he pitches like he did the NLDS and NLCS series, they won't have to give Sanchez any leash as he's been pretty much lights out. Greinke has not been much since coming over to Houston at the trade deadline. If Sanchez can give the Nats 5-7 strong innings and Washington can scratch out some early runs, the Nats will have a 3-0 stranglehold on the series. Nats 5-3. |
|||||||
10-23-19 | Nationals +164 v. Astros | 12-3 | Win | 164 | 9 h 57 m | Show
DMack's Nats/Astros World Series Game II Super Play is on the Washington Nationals (Strasberg/Verlander Listed) With two units in our pocket after winning Game I, no reason not to come right back with the Nats in Game II. We're getting much the best in the pitching matchup with Strasburg coming in just about lights out through the post-season while Verlander has struggled and is in fact, 0-4 with a 5.67 ERA in his last five World Series starts. The Nats are now 17-2 L19 and we're not standing in front of that train. Nats roll. |
|||||||
10-22-19 | Nationals +197 v. Astros | 5-4 | Win | 197 | 14 h 24 m | Show
DMack's Game I World Series Super Play is on the Washington Nationals (Scherzer/Cole) Cole has been fantastic …. no doubt about it. His numbers are off the chart and he hasn't lost since May 22nd. That said, he showed some chinks in the armor against the Yankees and if that Didi Gregorius fly ball had gone another two feet, we'd be talking about a different World Series. Gimme Max Scherzer at +200! With nine days rest, he's probably ready the throw a baseball through an armored car door. Three Cy Youngs and a World Championship, he's been there and done that. You could argue that Scherzer is responsible for turning the season around for the Nats when he fouled the practice bunt off his face and pitched the next day with orbital fractures rather than Hollywood it and go on the DL. Nats 16-2 L18 overall. |
|||||||
10-17-19 | Astros v. Yankees -123 | 8-3 | Loss | -123 | 8 h 22 m | Show
DMack's Astros/Yankees ALCS Game Four Super Pay is on the Yankees This is a must win game for the Bombers who were not able to exploit "average" performances by Verlander and Cole. Last night's rain out really helped the Bronx as it allows Game One winner Tanaka to come back on full rest. Forget Tanaka's season numbers. In the post season, he's been money and his ERA for starters that pitched more than 40 innings in the post season is TOP THREE (1.21) of every pitcher that has played in the modern era. Yanks get to Greinke early and often in a comfortable win. |
|||||||
10-15-19 | Cardinals v. Nationals -160 | 4-7 | Win | 100 | 8 h 15 m | Show
DMack's NLDS Game Four Super Play is on the Washington Nationals (Hudson/Corbin Listed) The Cardinals have been outscored 13-2 in the first three games of this series and have just two combined hits in the first six innings of all three games. The St Louis pitching has been average but that just won't do it here. Strangely enough, Patrick Corbin has been every bit as good as Scherzer or Strasburg over the course of the entire season but his numbers are skewed by a bad appearance in relief against the Dodgers. This is his first bite at the apple in his normal starting roll and you know that he'll want to showcase his stuff and finish this series out in four games. Corbin has great stuff, you'll see that here, and he'll be tough in the three hole against the Yankee/Astro winner. Get out the broom … we have our National League champ tonight. |
|||||||
10-14-19 | Cardinals v. Nationals -125 | 1-8 | Win | 100 | 8 h 59 m | Show
DMack's Cards/Nats Game Three NLCS Super Play winner is on the Washington Nats (Flaherty/Strasburg Listed) Both pitchers are razor sharp. Flaherty is 2-1 with a 1.29 ERA in his L5 starts while Strasburg is 4-0 with a 2.08 ERA in his L7 starts. At the end of the day, the Cardinals have just picked the worst time to stop hitting while the Nats just keep on rolling at 13-2 L15 doing it any way you want it, blow out, pitcher's duel, or come from behind. Strasburg said in the summer that he is opting out of his deal and will be showcasing his stuff here. Nats put Cards on the brink with a win here. |
|||||||
10-13-19 | Yankees +145 v. Astros | 2-3 | Loss | -100 | 13 h 47 m | Show
DMack's ALCS Game Two Super Play is on the NY Yankees (Paxton/Verlander Listed) Paxton is 10-0 with a 2.88 ERA in his L12 starts. He's a veteran and simply needs to avoid a rough first inning which has plagued him during the year. Verlander had a great year and is back on normal rest but Mr. Upton is just 8-7 LT vs. the Bombers with a very ordinary 3.55 ERA. The Yanks are mashing and the pitching is razors sharp. We cashed with the Bronx in Game One and hope to do the same here, picking up an extra half unit to boot. |
|||||||
10-12-19 | Yankees +145 v. Astros | 7-0 | Win | 145 | 14 h 19 m | Show
DMack's MLB Play of the Day is on the Yankees +128 (Tanaka/Greinke Listed) This is going to be a great series. Houston won the season series 4-3, the home team winning six of the seven meetings, Houston 3-0 at Minute Maid. These two met in the ALCS two years ago with the Astros winning as part of their World Championship run. Like the Bronx in Game One. The Bombers and their Game One starter Tanaka are plenty experienced and won't get caught in the moment at all. The Yanks were near perfect in 3-0 sweep of Minnesota with both lineup and bullpen getting maximum rest. The Astros were extended to five games by the Rays and are right back less than 48 hours of winning their division series. Greinke was hammered by the Rays in his prior start and the bullpen on blast in the games not pitched by Cole. Game One will be good indicator of whether or not big Bomber lineup will continue to mash against the Astros big three. |
|||||||
10-11-19 | Nationals +114 v. Cardinals | 2-0 | Win | 114 | 14 h 20 m | Show
DMack's NLCS Game One Super Play winner is on the Washington Nationals (Sanchez/Mikolas Listed) The Nats were 2-5 vs. the Cards this year, 1-3 here but that was before Washington's big second half drive to get in the position they're in now. Anabel Sanchez is a crafty veteran and went 3-0 with a 2.63 ERA in down the stretch and wriggled out of early trouble in his playoff start to give the Nats a solid five innings. Washington is playing on house money at this point and if they can get Scherzer, Strasberg, Corbin into some kind of order … the Nats will be very tough to beat. |
|||||||
10-09-19 | Cardinals v. Braves +101 | 13-1 | Loss | -100 | 6 h 38 m | Show
DMack's Cardinal/Braves NLDS Game 5 Super Play is on the Atlanta Braves Both starters are razor sharp but Foltynewicz was just a little bit better when these two met in Game Two, a 3-0 Atlanta win. Cant help but think that we'll see a similar result here and trust Foltynewicz to go further into the game, minimizing involvement of the pen. Both teams have had their chances only to see them blown up by the pens late. It's a nice story. A guy sent down to the minors during the year returns to go 4-1 with a 1.50 ERA in his L5 starts and be the Braves NLDS hero. Take the Braves. |
|||||||
10-07-19 | Yankees -140 v. Twins | 5-1 | Win | 100 | 10 h 5 m | Show
DMack's Monday ALDS Play of the Day is on the NY Yankees (Severino/Odorizzi Listed) Not much "capping" going on here. The Twins have lost their L15 post-season appearances … they've lost 12 straight appearances to the Yankees who have sent them home five times since 2007. Tonight, the Bomber send Luis Severino (who would have been the "Ace" of the staff) to the mound who has battled injuries most of the year but could be getting healthy at the right time. The Bombers have scored 18 runs in the first two games of the series and there is nothing to think that the Bronx won't mash tonight at Target Field. On to the Astros. |
|||||||
10-06-19 | Braves -113 v. Cardinals | 3-1 | Win | 100 | 6 h 2 m | Show
DMack's Sunday MLB Play of the Day is on the Atlanta Braves (Soroka/Wainwright Listed) |
|||||||
10-03-19 | Cardinals v. Braves -135 | 7-6 | Loss | -135 | 5 h 24 m | Show
DMack's Cards/Braves NLDS Game I Super Play is on the Atlanta Braves The Braves took care of business, wasted no time clinching the NL East, and getting healthy and setting their pitching for the playoffs. Dallas Keuchel is a veteran and has been here before. He was brought in specifically for that reason. The Cards are here for the first time in four years and Mikolas is a surprise starter here in that he's a home specialist. Really like the Braves in this spot and expect them to get off to a fast start here. |
|||||||
10-02-19 | Rays +121 v. A's | 5-1 | Win | 121 | 8 h 2 m | Show
DMack's AL Wildcard Winner is the Tampa Bay Rays (Morton/Manaea Listed) The Rays are in the playoffs for the first time since 2013. Charlie Morton had a BIG first half, battled minor injuries in late summer, then finished strong going 3-0 with a 2.73 ERA in five starts down the stretch. Sean Manaea was having a break out year before injuries curtailed his season. Very little separates these two remarkable low payroll teams. Oakland won the season series 4-3 and the teams split four games here. At the end of the day, Charlie Morton has playoff experience, has finished a World Series Game 7, and won't be caught in the moment here. The Rays are more contact hitter, the A's have more power and better defense. IMO, the Rays have the best pen in baseball and can do whatever it takes to move on. Far from a ringing endorsement I know but do like the Rays here. |
|||||||
09-27-19 | Brewers -156 v. Rockies | 7-11 | Loss | -156 | 9 h 33 m | Show
DMack's MLB Play of the Day is on the Milwaukee Brewers (Davies Listed) The Brewers have already clinched a wild card but still need to play if they want that one game eliminator to be held at Miller Park rather than Washington. Zach Davies is 2-0 with a 2.95 ERA over his L4 starts and has had success this year against the Rockies. We all know Milwaukee's long term run but short team they've won 7 straight and are 12-1 in their L13 road series openers. Colorado is scheduling their exit interviews. Lay it. |
|||||||
09-24-19 | Brewers v. Reds -107 | 4-2 | Loss | -107 | 7 h 21 m | Show
DMack's MLB Play of the Day is on the Cincinnati Reds (Houser/Gray Listed) It looks pretty much like a Nats/Brewers wildcard at this point so despite Milwaukee winning 15 of 17, the Brew Crew has little urgency other than to getting it's pitching in order and having everyone sharp. They meet a Reds team that has played things out and starts Sonny Gray who we have backed many times and who has seemingly found a home in the Queen City. He's 5-1 with a 1.61 ERA over his L9 starts and is also 2-0 with a 1.85 ERA in four starts vs. Milwaukee this year. Houser (4.64 ERA, L4) gets spot start at best. The Reds are the right side here. |
|||||||
09-21-19 | Cardinals +122 v. Cubs | 9-8 | Win | 122 | 10 h 59 m | Show
DMack's Saturday MLB Play of the Day is on the St Louis Cardinals (Hudson/Quintana Listed) Saturday's Cardinal win over the Cubs leaves the Blue Bears a full five games out of the NL Central lead and two games behind the Brewers for the last wildcard with eight games to play. St. Louis can pretty much seal the deal on the division with a win here and they'll send out their best starter in Dakota Hudson (6-1, 1.59, L7) who has the Red Birds 21-9 in his 30 starts. The Cubs are 18-11 in Carlos Quintana's 29 starts but the ex-WSox prospect has given up 11 runs in his L5 1/3 innings work which won't cut it here. Hudson has been lights out comes with the big effort here that will likely spell the end of the Maddon era on the North side. Take the Cardinals. |
|||||||
09-17-19 | Padres v. Brewers -132 | 1-3 | Win | 100 | 8 h 31 m | Show
DMack's Tuesday MLB Play of the Day is on the Milwaukee Brewers San Diego's Chris Paddack has been very good his last couple of starts but his team has lost seven straight on he road and has basically quit. The Cardinals, Cubs, Brewers and Nats are four team within two games with three making the playoffs. The Brewers have won 10 of 11 but the odd man out heading into tonight but you have to admire their fight after losing MVP candidate Christian Yellich. Brandon Woodruff will be the opener for Milwaukee tonight. He hasn't pitched since July 21st. Woodruff was the Brewers best starter, all All-Star, but has been bothered by an oblique strain. He'd be a huge get if the Brew Crew can continue to play well and get to the post season. Milwaukee is also 6-2 L8 at Miller Park and the price is certainly fair. Don't step in front of the train here. |

09-10-19 | Braves -152 v. Phillies | 5-6 | Loss | -152 | 8 h 38 m | Show
DMack's MLB Play of the Day is on the Atlanta Braves (Fried Listed) We're not in the habit of standing in front of trains and we won't be standing in front of the Braves who have won 10 off 11 and have put down all challenges in the NL East. Max Fried easily won both of his last two starts and is 1-0 vs. the Phillies this year albeit with a tough no-decision start that skews the numbers of his brief career. The Phillies have split their L10 games and look to have nothing left in the tank. |
|||||||
09-09-19 | Cubs -136 v. Padres | 10-2 | Win | 100 | 11 h 33 m | Show
DMack's MLB Play of the Day is on the Chicago Cubs With 20 games left, the Cubs are five out in the loss column to the Cardinals and in a dogfight for the wildcard. Kyle Hendricks is 2-0 with a 2.92 ERA and has lights out shutout stuff on any given night. The Padres are playing out the string but overall have had a nice year and a solid foundation to build on in the next 2-3 years. The Blue Bears have lost three straight so urgency will be high here. |

09-04-19 | Padres v. Diamondbacks -135 | 1-4 | Win | 100 | 10 h 0 m | Show
DMack's Weds MLB Play of the Day is on the Arizona DBacks San Diego is playing out the string. Tonight's starter for the Friar's, Chris Paddack, is rocking a 7.71 ERA over his L3 starts and can't seem to get anyone out. Zac Gallen has a new lease on life since coming over to the Snakes at the trade deadline. He's 1-1 with a 2.88 ERA in his five DBack starts and laying the groundwork for a possible spot in next year's rotation. Lay the 30-40 cents with the home team. |

08-29-19 | Mariners v. Rangers -159 | 5-3 | Loss | -159 | 9 h 7 m | Show
DMack's MLB Play of the Day is on the Texas Rangers (Lynn Listed) It's almost sad to see King Felix Hernandez to get to this point. He was a great pitcher coming up that has spent his career with a terrible organization and now (0-2, 9.47 ERA, L4 starts) he cannot break a pane of glass with his fastball and pitching behind the same if not worse non-support. Lance Lynn has struggled his last couple of starts but gets the remedy here as he's at home and pitching against a team that he's 3-1 with a 2.77 ERA in four 2019 starts. Take the Texas Rangers. |

Mack Attack MLB Play of the Day is on the Cincinnati Reds (Castillo Listed) The Marlins are playing out the string. 3-11 L14, and their once seemingly nightly effort is now a thing of the past. Caleb Smith (1-3, 6.57) hasn't been getting anyone out and there have been no "buy" signs that things will improve here. The Reds have not found a way to break through on the road and but Luis Castillo (2-0, 0.39 ERA in two 2019 starts vs. Miami) is a big time talent that has superior stuff and has dominated the Fish. Fifty cents might actually be a bargain here. |
|||||||
08-26-19 | Cardinals +124 v. Brewers | 12-2 | Win | 124 | 7 h 28 m | Show
DMack' Monday MLB Dog Bite is on the St Louis Cardinals This is a key series in the NL Central where the Cards lead the Brewers by 2 1/2 games. Adam Wainwright doesn't have impressive numbers but he's an old war horse that has been in these types of games for years. Gio Gonzalez is another crafty vet that hasn't had the magic he had with the Brewers last year. The Cards stood pat at the trade deadline and they are happy they didn't buy or sell (7-1 L8) but playing their best ball at the right time. |
|||||||
08-26-19 | Braves -143 v. Rockies | 1-3 | Loss | -143 | 4 h 43 m | Show
DMack's Monday MLB Matinee Mauler is on the Atlanta Braves (Teheran) Listed The Braves are 11-2 in their L13 and starting to pull away in the NL East after a short run by the Mets and Phillies. Julio Teheran toes the rubber and does his best work on the road. The Bravos are 17-10 in his 27 starts. The Rockies are 1-6 in their L7 and playing out the string. Melville is a journeyman who was very good in his first 2019 start but figures to bounce here against an Atlanta on the warpath. |
|||||||
08-25-19 | Reds -132 v. Pirates | 8-9 | Loss | -132 | 2 h 26 m | Show
DMack's Sunday MLB Play of the Day is on the Cincinnati Reds (Bauer Listed) -132 The Reds have lost eight of their last 10 on the road while Pittsburgh is 6-14 L20 overall so it's pick your poison. Agrazal is 0-3 with an 8.36 ERA in his L3 starts for the homestanding Bucs. He'll face Trevor Bauer who has been disappointing since coming over at the trade deadline but has owned Pittsburgh this year going 2-0 with a 1.35 ERA in two outings. Neither team is hitting much so much prefer Bauer laying small number despite being on the road. |
|||||||
08-24-19 | Red Sox -111 v. Padres | 5-4 | Win | 100 | 10 h 43 m | Show
DMack's MLB Play of the Day is on the Boston Red Sox (Evoldi Listed) Nathan Evoldi is an amazing story (one of a handful of pitchers to return off B2B Tommy Johns) and was key to the Bo Sox championship run last year. He's been hurt a lot of this year but under no pressure here with the big lineup in supports and Boston playing free and easy (6-2 L8) needing short of a miracle to make post season. The Padres are battling injuries and are shutting people down, playing out the string and looking to make more inroads next year. At basically a pick, Boston gets easy call … even on the road. |
|||||||
08-23-19 | Red Sox -113 v. Padres | 11-0 | Win | 100 | 12 h 32 m | Show
DMack's MLB Play of the Day is on the Boston Red Sox (Rodriguez Listed) Both teams are headed for early vacations. The Red Sox at least appear to be tying somewhat having won five of seven and send "ace" Eduardo Rodriguez to the mound knowing they are 19-7 in his 26 starts. The Padres have lost three of their last four home games, starting to get hit by the injury bug, and have generally played lackluster for most of the month. The one given is that Boston will hit and if Rodriguez can go reasonably far into the game, 10-20 cents seems like a bargain. |
|||||||
08-21-19 | Angels v. Rangers -123 | 7-8 | Win | 100 | 8 h 51 m | Show
DMack's Wednesday MLB Play of the Day is on the Texas Rangers (Minor Listed) The teams split a day/night double-header last night and though there was not a lot of scoring, the starters will likely have to go as long and far as they can giving Texas a big edge with the crafty Mike Minor. He's 3-1 with a 3.00 ERA in his L4 starts and he's 1-0 with a 1.86 ERA in three starts against the Halos this year. Both teams simply playing out the string at this point but both to their credit are still playing hard. The Rangers big bats have struggled of late but Patrick Sandoval (5.65) might just be the cure. Take the home team. |

DMack's MLB Game of the Month for August is on the NY Yankees (D German/H Bailey Listed) Domingo German has been a Godsend for the Bombers. The big lineup is nice but in the end, your own guy needs to get people out and other than a missing a couple of turn to minor injuries, German has been the Yankee stopper. Homer Bailey is having a decent run since coming over to the A's but that's been more a due to support than pitching and Bailey's first win in a big game (he was the 7th overall pick in the 2004 MLB draft by the Reds) will be his first. The Yanks could struggle their first time through the lineup but in the end, they'll get theirs and win in typical 9-5 style. Even on the road, to get a team minus just 25 cents in this spot is impossible to pass up. |

DMack's Monday MLB Play of the Day is on the Washington Nats (Ross/Williams Listed) The Washington Nationals continue their push to the playoffs and send out one of their seemingly limitless quality arms in Joe Ross who is 2-0 with a 0.50 ERA in his L3 and has had success against Pittsburg (1-1, 2.81 ERA, 3 starts) in his limited opportunities. The Nats continue to grind away and are 9-3 L12, but more importantly 8-1 in their L9 road series openers. They'll face a Pittsburgh team that is playing out the string, 3-11 L14, and the Bucs starter tonight rocks a chuck-and-duck 6.65 ERA in his L4 outings. Take Washington. |
|||||||
08-17-19 | Dodgers -143 v. Braves | 3-4 | Loss | -143 | 8 h 9 m | Show
DMack's MLB Play of the Day is on the Dodgers (Ryu Listed) Ryu is having a Cy Young type season. He's 3-0 with a 0.91 ERA in his L6 starts and the Bums are 17-5 in his 22 starts. The Dodgers are also 10-2 in their L12 so the train just keeps rolling. The Braves have lost three of four and Mike Foltynewicz (3-0 despite, 6.86 ERA L4) is likely not going to be your stopper unless you're looking to win 13-8 which won't happen here. Attractive price and Braves still without much urgency here. Take the road fave. |
|||||||
08-16-19 | Padres v. Phillies -120 | 4-8 | Win | 100 | 8 h 45 m | Show
DMack's MLB Play of the Day is on the Philadelphia Phillies (Velasquez Listed) The Phillies looking to be making a move and benefitting lately from the late inning heroics of Bryce Harper. The Phils have won three straight and have a very manageable schedule at home where they do their best work. Big edge on the mound tonight for the homies with Velasquez (2.78 ERA, L5 starts) who has also handled the Friars (2-0, 0.00, 17 IP) easily in two starts this season. The Padres are playing out the string and hopefully building towards next year. Lay it. |
|||||||
08-15-19 | Cardinals v. Reds -152 | 1-2 | Win | 100 | 7 h 19 m | Show
DMack's MLB Play of the Day is on the Reds (Sonny Gray listed) Sonny Gray can pitch and he's found a home in the Queen City where the pressure of outside forces are minimal. He's 4-1 with a 1.05 ERA in his L8 starts and his bad starts have been few and far between. The Cards are as counterfeit as they come and much like the Cubs in that they for the most part take care of business at home and put up token resistance on the road. Michael Wacha is 12-1 in 17 LT starts against the Reds but don't be fooled here, he's 0-2 with a 7.71 ERA which is far more representative of his full body of work. |
|||||||
08-14-19 | Pirates v. Angels -120 | 4-7 | Win | 100 | 9 h 53 m | Show
DMack's Weds MLB Bail Out is on the Angels (Peters Listed) Last week we talked about playing bad teams that make sense and just having to hold your nose. That would be the case here as the 2-8 L10 Pirates take on the 2-10 L12 Halos. Chris Archer has been a major disappointment since getting a change of scenery last year. The Angels have folded but tonight's starter, Peters, has generally been effective but whose numbers are skewed by getting roughed up in his last outing …. an untenable position where he was put in cold when the Angel starter that night was unable to get an out or throw a strike. Los Angeles will generally give you a 100% effort and the spot works at a fair price. |
|||||||
08-14-19 | Rays +103 v. Padres | 2-7 | Loss | -100 | 5 h 34 m | Show
DMack's Weds Matinee Mauler is on the Tampa Bay Rays (Beeks Listed) The Rays are a marvel in modern sports. They have the lowest payroll in baseball and their average cost "per win" is the best in the MLB. They are 20 games above .500 with 25 players from the witness protection program and they do it by feasting on teams like the Padres. This will be a bullpen game for the Rays who will throw Beeks as an opener and then finish by committee on a situational basis. The Rays have won five straight including the first two games in this series and should do some damage against Quantrill who has pretty good numbers but is just 3-7 in his 10 starts. Pick 'em ??? Gimme the Rays. |
|||||||
08-10-19 | Pirates v. Cardinals -163 | 1-3 | Win | 100 | 7 h 11 m | Show
DMack Subscriber Bonus Play is on the St Louis Cardinal (Wainwright Listed) |
|||||||
08-09-19 | Pirates v. Cardinals -137 | 2-6 | Win | 100 | 11 h 31 m | Show
DMack's MLB Play of the Day is on the St Louis Cardinals (Hudson listed) At this time of the year in the MLB, sometimes you just need to hold your nose and pull the trigger. That's what we'll be doing tonight in this battle of fading NL Central clubs. The Pirates are 4-21 since the All-Star Break and the downward spiral seems nowhere in site. The Cardinals are 2-8 L10 and have just about played themselves out of the division and a wildcard spot. Dakota Hudson is 0-2 with an ERA of 10+ in his last couple but he has had (2-0, 3.12, 6 starts) some success against the Bucs and has generally done his best work at home. Drop from opener to current price makes this extremely playable. |
|||||||
08-08-19 | Indians -103 v. Twins | 7-5 | Win | 100 | 9 h 38 m | Show
DMack's MLB Play of the Day is on the Cleveland Indians (Clevinger Listed) The Tribe is just two games back of the Twins in the AL Central and can really send a statement with a big weekend at Target Field. Mike Clevinger has been nails (4-0, 2.07) in his last four starts and is particularly effective if he can get out of the first three innings without damage and settle into a rhythm Nothing bad to say about the Twins and Gibson (15-7 in his starts) but Minnesota has lost two straight and have not looked like the killers they were earlier in the year in August. Prefer the hunters at small price. |
|||||||
08-07-19 | White Sox -117 v. Tigers | 8-1 | Win | 100 | 1 h 25 m | Show
DMack's MLB Play of the Day is on the WSox (Nova Listed) Ivan Nova is a useful veteran who is in top form at the moment, rocking a 1.80 ERA in his L3 starts. People forget that he was a top prospect in the Yankee organization for many year but just not able to completely pull the trigger during his opportunities with the Bombers. Both teams playing out the string with not much more to say other than after last night's DH split with the Pale Hose, the Tigers are just 4-23 in their L17 home games. Take the WSox. |
|||||||
08-06-19 | Braves v. Twins -143 | 12-7 | Loss | -143 | 8 h 36 m | Show
DMack's Tuesday MLB Play of the Day is on the Minnesota Twins (Berrios Listed) The Braves Mike Foltynewicz is back in the bigs after being sent down. He was 5-1 in AAA but there for a reason as his ERA was 6.86 in his L4 starts for the big club. The Braves are treading water at 6-5 over their L11, waiting for someone in the NL East to make a run. The Twins are back in sync winning 7 of 8 overall and are 6-2 L8 at Target Field. This team CAN mash !!! With Berrios being 2-0 and rocking a 1.37 ERA over his L3 starts, the Twinkies are an easy call here. |
|||||||
08-04-19 | Nationals -153 v. Diamondbacks | 5-7 | Loss | -153 | 5 h 45 m | Show
DMack Subscriber Bonus Play is on the Washington Nationals |
|||||||
08-04-19 | Brewers v. Cubs -138 | 2-7 | Win | 100 | 3 h 10 m | Show
DMack's MLB Play of the Day is on the Cubs (Darvish listed) Two teams headed in opposite directions. The Brewers have lost five of six and will be holding their breath when they send Adrian Houser (0-4, 6.75, L7) to the mound to stop the bleeding. Yu Darvish finally got his run of no-decisions stopped and is getting good (2.25) at just the right time and has been very hard on the Brewers (2.02) in his three starts this year. The Cubs are 10-2 in their L12 at the "Friendly Confines" and just can't be ignored at just 35 cents. |
|||||||
08-03-19 | Giants +119 v. Rockies | 6-5 | Win | 119 | 9 h 15 m | Show
DMack Subscriber Bonus Play is on the San Francisco Giants |

08-03-19 | Reds +124 v. Braves | 4-5 | Loss | -100 | 8 h 25 m | Show
DMack Subscriber Bonus Play is on the Cincinnati Reds |
|||||||
08-03-19 | Mets -118 v. Pirates | 7-5 | Win | 100 | 8 h 24 m | Show
DMack's MLB Play of the Day is on the NY Mets (Stroman Listed) Marcus Stroman makes his NY Met debut after his surprise trade from the Jays. He's left Toronto pitching his best baseball of the year (2-2, 2.10 L5) and is THRILLED to be a Met as he's a local. A good run the final two months and he could get a long-term deal if this is where he wants to be. Mets saw seven-game win streak snapped last night when Steven Matz folded like a cheap suit with a 3-0 lead. The Pirates are still 4-16 in their L20 and last night's win was anything but a "Buy" sign. Take the visitor. |
|||||||
08-03-19 | Brewers v. Cubs -130 | 1-4 | Win | 100 | 4 h 4 m | Show
DMack's Matinee Mauler is on the Chicago Cubs (Hamels listed) Cole Hamels returns for his first start since June 28, just in time for the Blue Bear stretch run. He was 2-1 with a 1.50 ERA in his L5 before getting hurt and if he is anything close to that, should be good here where he is 8-3 with a 3.32 ERA in 17 LT starts vs. the Brew Crew. The Cubs are 9-2 in their L11 home games and can do some real damage here to the Brewers who have lost four of five and don't figure to get much from Geo Gonzalez who has fallen on tough times with a 5.40 ERA in his L3, all no decisions. Raise the W at Wrigley. |
|||||||
08-02-19 | Mets -110 v. Pirates | 4-8 | Loss | -110 | 8 h 26 m | Show
DMack's MLB Play of the Day is on the NY Mets (Matz Listed) The hottest team in baseball is now the NY Mets who are finally putting things all together at the right time and now find themselves just five games out of a wildcard with a very outside shot of getting back in the NL East. Steven Matz rocks a 1.89 RA over his last three and is razor sharp. Trevor Williams (6.75 L3) has done nothing of late, much like his mates that have lost 16 of 19 overall. Price is nice for us and the notion that the Mets are a fade/pass on the road is no longer an option. Mets win their eighth straight here. |
|||||||
08-02-19 | Red Sox +129 v. Yankees | 2-4 | Loss | -100 | 8 h 16 m | Show
DMack's Friday MLB Dog Bite is on the Red Sox (Rodriguez Listed) The BoSox are just a week removed from hammering Yank pitching in their last series. They inexplicably followed that up by getting swept by the Rays at home which has left the champs on the outside looking in. Eduardo Rodriguez (5-0, 2.03) has been Beantown's best and will look to right the ship here. Paxton (7.50 L3) is better at home but that is not saying much of late. Catching 30 cents with a proven commodity in a desperate spot looks to be the profitable way to go. |
|||||||
08-01-19 | Mets -180 v. White Sox | 4-0 | Win | 100 | 2 h 27 m | Show
DMack's Thursday Matinee Mauler is on the Mets (Wheeler Listed) This is clearly a story of two teams headed in opposite directions. The Mets have won seven of eight while the Pale Hose are skidding at 1-8 in their L9. Zach Wheeler's numbers are not all that impressive but he'll give you a chance to win and the team is 10-10 in his starts. Dylan Cease is 0-3 with an 8.85 ERA and his prospects aren't lookin up against a mashing Met lineup. The price is excessive but the all checks fall on the side of the road team. The run-line would mitigate damage and is still most definitely in play. |
|||||||
07-31-19 | Blue Jays v. Royals -118 | 4-1 | Loss | -118 | 3 h 10 m | Show
DMack Subscriber Bonus Play is on the Kansas City Royals (Junis Listed) |

DMack Subscriber Bonus Play is on the Chicago Cubs |
|||||||
07-29-19 | Blue Jays v. Royals -125 | 7-3 | Loss | -125 | 9 h 49 m | Show
DMack's Monday MLB Play of the Day is on the Kansas City Royals (Keller Listed) Both teams have thrown in the towel and are playing out the string and the Jays have already started to sell off. Toronto's Tommy Panone has not gotten anyone out and rocks a 12.50 ERA over his last four starts. Brad Keller is 3-0 with a 2.00 ERA over his last four starts and the Royals always seem to give you an effort despite their many deficiencies. At home and just a 25 cent favorite makes the Royals the best choice off Monday's abbreviated card. |
|||||||
07-28-19 | Giants -106 v. Padres | 7-6 | Win | 100 | 5 h 48 m | Show
DMack's MLB Play of the Day is on the Giants (Bumgarner listed) While every situation is fluid, especially over the next three days, the Giants will reportedly stand pat rather than sell as a reward for their recent excellent play. They hit a bump in the road last night but this game will be big with MadBum making what could be final start as a Giant. He's 2-0 with a 2.25 ERA over his L6 starts but deserved better. Thinking that Giants will be laser focused here versus the light hitting Padres in arguably the biggest game of the season and backing the heart and sole of the franchise for most of the last decade. |
|||||||
07-28-19 | Diamondbacks -140 v. Marlins | 1-5 | Loss | -140 | 2 h 58 m | Show
DMack's Matinee Massacre is on the Arizona DBacks (Ray Listed) The Snakes are one of many teams that need to make decisions to buy and sell with just 72 hours left in the new "hard" trade deadline. Robbie Ray would draw the most interest of the available DBacks and he's 4-0 with a 3.32 ERA in his L4 starts. The Marlins are 5-8 in their L13 and just grinding their way to the end. They play hard to their credit but don't have much and also have X's on their backs by teams that have to beat teams life this to stay in their respective division and wildcard spots. Like the price too. |
|||||||
07-27-19 | Pirates v. Mets -130 | 0-3 | Win | 100 | 8 h 57 m | Show
DMack Saturday MLB Bonus Best Bet is on the NY Mets (Matz Listed) Steven Matz has not been much (4.50 L4) but .... he faces a freefalling Pittsburgh Pirate outfit here that is stuck in reverse. In fact, the Bucs are 2-12 L14 and Trevor Williams has been part of the problem including getting hammered in his last after being staked to a big lead. The Mets are 8-4 L12, the lineup is mashing, and Mr. Met is always better at Citi Field as opposed to the MLB highway. Very good spot for home team. |
|||||||
07-27-19 | Braves -116 v. Phillies | 15-7 | Win | 100 | 8 h 3 m | Show
DMack's MLB Play of the Day is on the Atlanta Braves (Fried Listed) The Braves are in a 3-6 vapor lock but in a perfect spot to put down the chasing Phillies. Max Fried doesn't have breathtaking numbers but the Bravos just seem to win (13-6) when he toes the rubber. The Phils Eflin has been throwing (0-3, 9.47) chuck-and-duck in his last four starts and Philly is just 7-12 this year when he gets the call. The price is very reasonable and possibly a bargain if the Braves strike early. |
|||||||
07-26-19 | Giants +133 v. Padres | 2-1 | Win | 133 | 14 h 50 m | Show
DMack's Friday Night MLB Dog Bite is on the San Francisco Giants (Samardzija Listed) Jeff Semardzija is arguably going through one of the best form sprees of his career. The former Notre Damer is 3-1 with a 2.70 ERA in his L4 and easily handled the Padres two weeks ago. The white hot Giants are 6-0 in their L6 series openers. Joey Lucchesi hasn't been much in his last five starts with a ERA a tick south of six. The Padres are just 2-5 in their L7 and haven't show any "Buy" signs in cooling off the white hot Giants. Nothing wrong with an extra 30 cents either. |
|||||||
07-24-19 | Yankees -115 v. Twins | 10-7 | Win | 100 | 8 h 5 m | Show
DMack's MLB Play of the Day is on the NY Yankees (Happ Listed) Last night's Bombers/Twin matchup was sure to be an instant classic for everyone involved except the pitchers. It finally ended 14-12 (Bombers) in extra time on an amazing catch by outfielder Aaron Hicks. Both teams will be scrambling here in regards to pitcher availability so expect Happ and Odorizzi to go as long as they can assuming that they have anything at all. At the end of the day, must respect Yankee depth and history (Bombers 97-38 in series since 2003) over Minnesota and at -15 cents, the opportunity will not offer itself very often from here on out. |
|||||||
07-24-19 | Rangers -136 v. Mariners | 3-5 | Loss | -136 | 3 h 26 m | Show
DMack Subscriber Bonus Play is on the Texas Rangers |
|||||||
07-23-19 | Cubs v. Giants +105 | 4-5 | Win | 105 | 10 h 2 m | Show
DMack's MLB Side of the Day is on the Giants (Bumgarner Listed) The Giants are now 16-3 L19 after last night's 5-4 two in the eighth victory over the Cubs. Bumgarner has been razor sharp in what was supposed to be his audition but the San Francisco is in an excellent wildcard position and a Bochy miracle is definitely not out of the question. Darvish hasn't allowed a run in his L12 innings work and the Blue Bears are on the road and at a distinct disadvantage in the pen. Won't stand in front of the raging home dog Giants here. |
|||||||
07-20-19 | Nationals +151 v. Braves | 5-3 | Win | 151 | 7 h 14 m | Show
DMack's Saturday Night MLB Dog Bite is on the Washington Nationals (Sanchez Listed) The Nats have gone 14-5 in their L19 to go from seller at the deadline to a team that could run down the Braves late wit their superior pitching. Anabel "Dirty" Sanchez has been a revelation going 5-0 in his L7 starts and is 1-0 with a 3.00 ERA in two starts against the Braves this year. Nothing bad to say about the Braves and they have in fact won Soroka's L7 starts. That said, the Nats have already given up a bad one already in the series and know that every H2H with Atlanta from here on out is critical. The extra 50 cents is impossible to pass up. |
|||||||
07-20-19 | Padres v. Cubs -143 | 5-6 | Win | 100 | 2 h 22 m | Show
DMack Subscriber Best Bet is on the Cubs (Quintana Listed) |
|||||||
07-18-19 | Mets v. Giants +100 | 2-3 | Win | 100 | 13 h 5 m | Show
DMack's Graveyard Bailout is on the Giants (Bumgarner Listed) The Giants have won five-in-a-row and eight of their last nine and should be energized by what might very well be Madison Bumgarner's final home start. MadBum had a huge hand the Giant's championships in the early part of the decade. He's in good form and will have loads of support in what could be his final home start before being moved at the trade deadline. Syndergaard is another that could be on the move and while the Met lineup has been mashing, this is one of the worst road teams in the MLB. Giants pick is a bargain. |
|||||||
07-18-19 | Dodgers -107 v. Phillies | 6-7 | Loss | -107 | 4 h 3 m | Show
DMack's Thursday Matinee Mauler is on the Dodgers (Stripling/Nola Listed) The Dodgers rebounded from Tuesday's horrific 9-8 loss to the Phils by spanking Philadelphia 7-2 last night behind Maeda. The Bums have ripped home pitching for 31 runs in the first three games of the series and should continue their hot bats against the hit or miss Aaron Nola. Philly is just 6-9 in it's L15 and it's at least another 30 days before Bryce Harper dons his Superman outfit. The price is juicy too! |
|||||||
07-17-19 | Rays v. Yankees -147 | Top | 2-6 | Win | 100 | 11 h 44 m | Show |
DMack's MLB Play of the Day is on the Yankees (German Listed) This has been a great series featuring two teams that don't especially care for each other and the long ball. Chrinos has been decent but unlucky as the the team is 6-7 in his starts but 6-2 L8 overall. German has been a revelation when he has been able to go. He's 2-0 with a 0.75 ERA in his last two starts and the Bronx 11-3 in his 14 starts. The Yanks are also 12-3 in their L15 games at Yankee Stadiium and the offense just has sooooooooo many weapons. Lay it with the home team. |
|||||||
07-15-19 | White Sox -115 v. Royals | Top | 2-5 | Loss | -115 | 9 h 52 m | Show |
DMack's Monday MLB Play of the Day is on the Chicago WSox (Giolito Listed) The White Sox and Giolito have seemingly hot the wall after an overachieving first half. Giolito looked to be a rookie phenom but rocks a 5.52 ERA in his L3 BUT ... the Royals might just be the cure as he is 3-0 with a 1.80 ERA in four starts against Kansas City this year. The Pale Hose are 12-5 in his 17 starts. The Royals have been doing the splits but unloaded Homer Bailey over the weekend and a full blown fire sale figures to be right around the corner as KC integrates their kids into the lineup. Price on the Sox is definitely right. |
|||||||
07-14-19 | Braves -128 v. Padres | Top | 4-1 | Win | 100 | 9 h 0 m | Show |
DMack's Sunday MLB Play of the Day is on the Atlanta Braves (Soroka/Quantrill Listed) Mike Soroka doesn't have the numbers but he sure does have the results. He's 4-0 with a 4.43 ERA in his L7 starts and and the Bravos are 12-3 in his 15 2019 starts. Hotlanta is 6-1 L7 as things are going very well at the moment. Cal Quantrill has been nothing special and rocks a 5.65 ERA in his L3 starts. all no decisions. San Diego is just 2-5 in his seen starts and would much rather lay the quarter with the hot hand. |
|||||||
07-14-19 | Nationals +101 v. Phillies | 3-4 | Loss | -100 | 6 h 47 m | Show
DMack's Matinee Mauler is on the Washington Nats (Sanchez/Arrieta Listed) The Nats are rolling are 12-2 L14 but will have to tighten their belts somewhat with Max Scherzer on his way to the IL for a short time. Anabel Sanchez is 4-0 with a respectable 3.00 ERA in his L5 starts and a crafty veteran in his own right. The Phils are just 4-7 in their L11 and even with the addition of Bryce Harper, this team shows very little in the way of guts. They folded like a cheap suit down the stretch last year and showing indications of the same this year. Take the road team at a pick. |
|||||||
07-13-19 | Diamondbacks v. Cardinals -132 | 2-4 | Win | 100 | 7 h 41 m | Show
DMack's Saturday MLB Bonus Play is on the St Louis Cardinals (Hudson Listed) If the disappointing Cardinals are going to make a stand, they better do it immediately after the break. The manager is on the hot seat an this is a franchise with a long time history of not make any head turning deals at the trade deadline. Dakota Hudson has been the Red Birds best starter and he was 1-0 with a 1.86 ERA in his L3 home starts and St Louis was 11-6 in his 17 starts overall. The Snakes are much better at home than on the road and face a tough customer here. |
|||||||
07-12-19 | Nationals -138 v. Phillies | 4-0 | Win | 100 | 6 h 17 m | Show
DMack's MLB Play of the Day is on the Washington Nationals (Strasburg Listed) Don't look now but ... after a horrendous start, the Washington Nats have gone from sellers at the trade deadline to full blown contenders in the NL East. Washington was on a 10-2 run heading into the break and figure to keep the train rolling here with Strasburg who is 3-0 with a 3.05 ERA in his last three starts and is 5-0 with a 2.30 LT ERA vs. the Phillies. Philadelphia has been treading water all year and their starter here is 0-2 with a 7.78 ERA in his L4 starts and 1-6 with a 10.80 ERA in 8 starts (11 appearances) against the Nats. Lay it. |
|||||||
07-06-19 | Phillies +133 v. Mets | 5-6 | Loss | -100 | 10 h 35 m | Show
DMack's Saturday MLB Dog Bite is on the Philadelphia Phillies (Arrieta/Syndergaard Listed) Couldn't possibly lay close to 50 cents with the Mets under any circumstances except if they were to bring back Nolan Ryan to throw a 235 pitch complete game. The home team has lost 9 of 11 and granted they are home, Syndergaard will at best give you six innings before turning it over to the worst pen in the MLB. How bad ??? The Met pen has thrown 49 innings of "relief" for Jacob deGrom and allowed 51 runs. Mostly a fade of the Mets but the Phillies and Arrieta have shown some signs of life for a possible second half run. Grab the dog. |
|||||||
07-05-19 | A's -138 v. Mariners | 5-2 | Win | 100 | 14 h 1 m | Show
DMack's MLB Play of the Day is on the Oakland A's (Anderson Listed) The A''s are 12-4 in their L16 games and taking a lot of momentum into the ASB as they play for a wildcard spot in September. Brett Anderson doesn't have great numbers but is a grinder that keeps you in games and Oakland is 12-5 in his starts. The Mariners will be in sell mode when we come back from the break as this team needs to be blown up after 13-2 start. M's have lost 6 of 7 and their starter tonight is 0-1 with a 6.73 ERA in three starts against the A's this year. E'nuff said. |
|||||||
07-05-19 | Yankees -117 v. Rays | 8-4 | Win | 100 | 11 h 41 m | Show
DMack's Friday MLB Bonus Play is on the Yankees (Tanaka Listed) Masahiro Tanaka has been awful, especially in his last start in London where he was staked to a 6-0 first inning lead and left 6-6 after getting two outs against the Red Sox. the remedy might be the Rays as Tanaka is 2-0 with a razor sharp 0.56 ERA against the Floridians. The Bombers are just a horrific matchup for the fundamentally excellent and max effort Rays and Tampa just can't trade with the guests here. Any type off game from Tanaka here and it's light's out for the homies. |
|||||||
07-04-19 | Yankees -112 v. Rays | 8-4 | Win | 100 | 9 h 21 m | Show
DMack's MLB Play of the Day for Friday is on th eNY Yankees (Happ Listed) Happ has his moments and could just might have a big start against the AL East second place Rays. The Bronx has won 14 of 16 really really mashing. The Rays are 5-2 L7 but face a team with unrivaled death ??? These bullpen games are coming back to bite the Rays somewhat and they went through a lot of their pen last night. In the end, it's the Bombers relentless lineup that mashes top to bottom that will prevail. |

07-02-19 | Twins -111 v. A's | 6-8 | Loss | -111 | 10 h 11 m | Show
Mack Attack Tuesday Bonus Best Bet in the Minnesota Twins -114 (Odorizzi Listed) Jake Odorizzi has been touched up a bit in his last couple of starts (6.46 ERA) but his 2019 body of work says that the Twinkies are 12-4 in his 16 starts. Dan Mengden is 2-1 with a 3.99 ERA six appearances but is difficult to judge as he's been coming in after an opener is recent games. Oakland is home and likely in better form but this this is a good spot to get Odorizzi back on track and for the Twins to regain some focus heading into the much needed rest of the All Star Break. |

07-02-19 | Yankees -140 v. Mets | 2-4 | Loss | -140 | 7 h 25 m | Show
DMack's MLB Play of the Day is on the NY Yankees -141 (Paxton Listed) The Bombers are 13-1 in their L14 games and are really mashing at the moment. Not the best of spots off the trip to London but the team is loaded and they face a struggling Mets team that has lost 7 of 8 and whose bullpen is a dumpster fire waiting to happen. Queens has also lost five straight home series openers and have never fared well in this "subway" series, 20+ games in the hole since it's inception. Paxton and travel makes a -180 game -140. Take the Bronx. |

07-01-19 | Giants v. Padres -155 | 13-2 | Loss | -155 | 11 h 22 m | Show
DMack's Monday MLB Play of the Day is on the San Diego Padres (Allen Listed) I often wonder how good Jeff Samardizija would have been had he played wide out in the NFL. He was a tall Calvin Johnson type at Notre Dame with amazing hands. He made the right choice as he's now 34 and made 108 million dollars throwing a baseball but he's 73-99 lifetime with a 4.19 ERA. He's 1-3 with a 7.17 ERA in his four starts and has never been a mystery to San Diego. The Friars send Logan Allen to the mound where he's 2-0 with a 1.38 ERA in his first two starts as a pro. San Diego has won five of its last six home games and is 8-0 in its last eight home series openers. 55 cents looks about right and figures to head North throughout the day so get in early. |

06-29-19 | Dodgers -145 v. Rockies | 3-5 | Loss | -145 | 8 h 7 m | Show
DMack Saturday MLB Bonus Play is on the Dodgers -146 (Kershaw listed) Clayton Kershaw has not been Clayton Kershaw razor sharp but nobody has a golden horseshoe in a place where the sun don't shine like Clayton Kershaw. The Dodger lefty is 2-0 with a 3.32 ERA in his L3 and the Bums are 20-2 in his L22 starts, 11-2 this year. The Dodgers are 8-3 in their L11 despite a Metesque bullpen and they've beaten the Rockies in 12 of the L13 meetings. All things considered and at 45 cents ... I'll bite! |

06-28-19 | Diamondbacks -105 v. Giants | 3-6 | Loss | -105 | 11 h 20 m | Show
DMack Attack Friday MLB Super Best Bet is on the DBacks -105 (Kelly Listed) The Giants are simply playing out the string at this point and count on them to be major sellers at the trade deadline. It's kind of sad that this is the Bruce Bochy farewell tour as he deserves so much more. The Dodgers are already out of reach so the DBacks are basically playing for a wildcard. Merrill Kelly is the best the Snakes have to offer after Zach Greinke and he's been a rock with 3-1 credentials and a 2.62 ERA in his L5 starts. He's 1-0 with a 1.59 ERA in two starts against the Giants this year. Take the Snake. |

06-28-19 | Cubs -109 v. Reds | 3-6 | Loss | -109 | 9 h 44 m | Show
DMack's Friday MLB Play of the Day is on the Chicago Cubs -108 (Hamels Listed) After a solid four week period at the end of May and beginning of June, the Reds have come apart and look to be a fade for the immediate future. Cincinnati has lost four straight and their once excellent pitching has become pedestrian and the lineup has never hit much. The Cubs are treading water but showing "buy" signs and send out a razor sharp (2-0, 1.24 ERA, L4) Cole Hamels who is 11-1, 1.91, in 17 career starts against the home team. At basically a pick, this one is a no-brainer. |
