The Diamondbacks have good pitching, which will make them competitive throughout the year, but they can't hit worth a damn and they're going to have to tonight, because the Miami bats beat up on Gallen. The Marlins pitch, hit, and run the bases as good as any team in baseball. Should be an easy win tonight

6-Unit Play: Take 976 MARLINS -1.5 RL, OVER MARINERS (1:40pm E, Sunday, April 1)

We've had a pretty good weekend with Miami and we're not about to leave them now. They had so many chances to score so many more runs, the last couple of days, that we think you'll see them take advantage of those runs today and we think they'll catch Mariners off guard by being VERY active on the base pads today.

5-Unit Play: Take 920 TAMPA BAY -1.5, +110 (4:10pm E, Saturday, April 30)

Tampa Bay has got all the tools this year and with McClanahan on the mound, they are NOT going to lose games like this one. Their bats are hot and we expect them to jump to early lead and run this one up.

6-Unit Play: Take 972 WHITE SOX -1.5 RL, OVER ROYALS (2:10pm E, Wednesday, April 27)

The White Sox have some great bats and they have payback on their mind after yesterday. They've also seen Greinke plenty and we think they'll knock him out by the 6th inning.

5-Unit Play: Take 951 NY METS-1.5 RL, OVER CARDS (1:15pm E, Wednesday, April 27)

The Mets are on a roll and the Cards are on a mini-slide and we're take the Mets to outplay the Cards again today. The Mets are for real and Carrasco is a better pitcher than Matz.

5-Unit Play: Take 952 BREWERS -1.5 RL, OVER GIANTS (6:10pm E, Monday, April 25)

The Brewers are no slouch at home and we'll take the value, here, even as well as the Giants have been playing. Look for the Brewers to score a number of runs off Long for San Francisco.

4-Unit Play: Take 982 Tigers -1.5 RL OVER ROCKIES - GM 2 (6:40pm E, Saturday, April 23)

After the Tigers finish off the Rockies in game 1, we'll think they'll ride that momentum into game 2 and kickstart their season with a doubleheader blowout. They don't need much - just a kickstart to their offense and you'll see a totally different Detroit team.

5-Unit Play: Take 980 TIGERS -1.5 RL OVER ROCKIES - GM 1 (1:10pm E, Saturday, April 23)

The Tigers play well at home and the Rockies on the road? Not so much. We like Skubal to keep the Colorado bats quiet, while the Detroit bats light up. The Tigers need a blow out win and we think this is the day.

4-Unit Play: Take 959 WHITE SOX -1.5,+120 OVER GUARDIANS (1:10pm E,  Thursday April 21)

It's payback time for the White Sox. They are too good a team to be manhandled like they were yesterday. Cleveland ran the score up on them too and that never sets well

5-Unit Play: Take 973 TWINS -1.5 OVER ROYALS (8:10pm E, Tuesday, April 19)

As proven yesterday, the Twins bats have power. Put a pitcher like Archer on the mound and they're almost unbeatable. We like the sluggers to roll over the Royals today and make a statement that they're here to stay for awhile.

10-Unit Play: Take 920 OAKLAND -1.5 RL OVER BALTIMORE (8:40pm E, Monday, April 18) Oakland is a contender this year and, as much as they keep trying, Baltimore wants to be, too. They're not there, yet, but the A's bats are and they love to run it up at home. Look for Montas to way outpitch Watkins and the A's bats to put up a big number. We're not going to play it, but we actually like the over in this game too.

5-Unit Play: Take 956 MIAMI -1.5 RL, OVER PHILLIES (6:40pm, E, Friday, April 15)

The Marlins can't stand the Phillies and vice versa. With Lopez on the mound they have what it takes to beat the Phils at home. We took the run line because we don't think it'll be that close at the end and when either of these two teams can add on, they will.

4-Unit Play: Take 952 ATLANTA BRAVES -1.5 RL OVER WASHINGTON (12:20pm E, Wednesday, April 13th)

The Braves are as good as any team out there, as they showed last year. Fried had a terrible start (for him), in his first start - we look for him to bounce back tonight against the Nationals. He should hold them, while his supports him big offensively.

3-Unit Play: Take 961 HOUSTON ASTROS -1.5, RL, OVER BRAVES (8:09pm E, Tuesday, November 2) ATL: Fried. HOU: Garcia

Houston is on a high and we don't think they're close to coming down from it. They are swinging the bat well from top to bottom and if you want to see some balls leave the park quickly to left field, stay tuned. The LAST thing Atlanta wanted to do, was take this series back to Houston. Houston should blow them out tonight.

2-Unit Play: Take 923 LA DODGERS -1.5, RL, -110 OVER BRAVES (8:08pm E, Saturday, October 23) LAD: Undecided. ATL: Anderson - NOTE: THIS GAME IS ACTION!

Much like Thursday, we're going to take the Dodgers tonight with everything on the line. They, once again, haven't chosen a starter, yet, but they have good arms that can go today, and they'll most likely decide the order they'll go sometime later in the day. They don't have Kelly, but they activated Price, so expect to see him in the rotation somewhere. He's struggled as a starter this year, but you give him one or two innings and say, These are yours, he's pretty damn good. We like the Dodgers to push this to a Sunday Funday Game Seven!

2-Unit Play: Take 920 DODGERS -1.5, RL, +140 OVER BRAVES (8:08pm E, Thursday, October 21) ATL: Fried. LAD: Undecided - NOTE: GAME IS "ACTION"

The Dodgers haven't made a pitcher announcement yet and the reason is clear: they will empty the bench with whoever they can find, to win this game. They probably know who they're going to pitch, but not the order they're going to pitch them. The Dodgers are up against a wall and you'll see them pull out all stops to win this game - they can't just rely on their superior talent - they will bite, scratch, bunt, and steal to win tonight.

6-Unit Play: Take 910 BOSTON RED SOX -1.5, RL, +165 OVER ASTROS (8:08pm E, Monday, October 18) HOU: Urquidy. BOS: Rodriguez

Boston has been chomping at the bit to get Houston in the not-so-friendly-confines of Fenway Park. Like Minute Maid Park, there are some weird nooks and crannies and strange bounces awaiting the Astros. That and an explosive offensive and aggressive ballclub that may be the only one suited to beat Houston in a series like this. Look for Boston to score early and often in what should be a high-scoring game.

5-Unit Play: Take 964 LA DODGERS -1.5, RL, OVER GIANTS (9:07pm, E, Tuesday, October 12) SF: DeSclafani. LAD: Buehler

The Dodgers can't wait for first pitch of this game. Don't be surprised if they have an early lead and hold it. They HATE losing 1-0 in Dodger Stadium and we don't think that has a chance of happening tonight. Look for them to put every bit of energy into every minute of this game.

If the Sox can get off to an early lead, we think their bullpen and LaRussa will take it from there and come home with a victory. Their bats have finally warmed up and none too late. There is no love lost between LaRussa and Dusty and that feud is visible every time you see them. We think LaRussa is the better Manager of ther two and will come home with today's victory.

5-Unit Play: Take 912 ARIZONA D'BACKS -1.5, RL, OVER ROCKIES (8:10pm E, Saturday, October 2) COL: Senzatela. ARI: Gallen

The D'Backs' pitcher Gallen has a lot to prove for next year and this is, most likely his last chance, this year. He's the best pitcher that most people don't know, in the Bigs. Look for him to hold the Rockies down and Arizona to have a few crooked-inning number innings.

6-Unit Play: Take 918 TORONTO BLUE JAYS -1.5, RL OVER ORIOLES (3:07pm E, Saturday, October 2) BAL: Means. TOR: Manoah

If this were earlier in the season, we probably wouldn't put this much on this game, but it's not and we are. Toronto played great ball yesterday and we expect the same today. Means is an excellent pitcher for the Orioles, but Manoah will absolutely shut them down today

5-Unit Play: Take 964 LA DODGERS-1.5, RL, OVER BREWERS (10:10pm E, Friday, October 1) MIL: Lauer. LAD: Kershaw

The Dodgers, arguably, have the best team in baseball. When a wannabe team comes to town with World Series hopes, they know how to shut them down. Look for Kershaw to be at his best tonight.

5-Unit Play: Take 951 CINCINNATI REDS -1.5, RL, OVER PIRATES (6:35pm E, Friday, October 1) CIN: Castillo. PIT: Crowe

Castillo is one of the best pitchers in baseball. Crowe, not so much. This time of years players have bonuses and want to set themselves up, in case of a trade. The Reds are a much better ballclub and Castillo is a much better pitcher. We love this play

4-Unit Play: Take 953 CHICAGO CUBS -1.5, RL, +145 OVER PIRATES (6:35pm E, Wednesday, September 29) CUB: Hendricks. PIT: Contreras.

The Pirates want to show off at home, too, but Hendricks, if he has his stuff is a much better pitcher than Contreras. In fact, he's one of the best pitchers in the league and these teams are rivals, so we don't expect the Cubs to lie down against the Pirates and they are the better team.

5-Unit Play: Take 926 KC ROYALS -1.5, RL, OVER INDIANS (8:10pm E, Tuesday, September 28) CLE: Civale. KC: Singer

The Kansas City Royals' pitcher, Singer, has been amazing lately. If this game was in Cleveland, we might feel differently, but it's in Kansas and we'll take the value here.

5-Unit Play: Take 909 MILWAUKEE BREWERS -1.5, RL, OVER CARDINALS (7:45pm E, Tuesday, September 28) MIL: Woodruff. STL: Wainwright

The streak is going to be over and Milwaukee will see to it. We're getting close to the Playoffs and this is going to be exactly like a Playoff game, but Woodruff and Milwaukee should walk away with this one, as well as a lot of confidence. The Brewers have seen Wainwright for years - he won't fool them.

6-Unit Play: Take 952 CINCINNATTI REDS -1.5, RL, OVER PIRATES (1:10pm E, Monday, September 27) PIT: Overton. CIN: Sanmartin

Cody Ponce has looked awful in his starts this year and Sanmartin is only a little better, so if we say the pitchers are even, the Reds are better in every other area and should win this rivalry game. Castellanos and Votto should win this on their own, practically.

5-Unit Play: Take 969 TEXAS RANGERS -1.5, RL, +135 OVER ORIOLES (7:05pm E, Thursday, September 23) TEX: OTTO. BAL: LOWTHER

We rarely would take Texas in a spot like this, but they should be able to get all over Lowther and Otto should keep the Orioles at bay. This is a weird one, but we see Texas winning it easily.

5-Unit Play: Take 963 CHICAGO WHITE SOX -1.5, RL, Over Cleveland. (1:10pm E, Thursday, September 23) CHW: Lopez. CLE: Civale

These teams have seen one another and one another's pitchers plenty this year and the White Sox are definitely the better team. This should be a walk in the park for the White Sox, starting early.

5-Unit Play: Take 924 OAKLAND A’S -1.5, RL, +145 OVER MARINERS (9:40pm E, Wednesday, September 22) SEA: Flexen. OAK: Irvin

This is a perfect setting for the A’s to blow one open. They love home games, where they’re the favorite and they need this game. They should have no problem with Seattle tonight. 

4-Unit Play: Take 929 MINNESOTA TWINS -1.5, RL, +145 OVER CUBS (7:40pm E, Wednesday, September 22) CUB: Hendricks. MIN: Ryan

We’re getting to the last couple of weeks of the regular season and some teams have more incentive, and dig deeper, than others. The Twins have to dig deep – the Cubs? Well, they’re just the just the same old Cubs, but they do have their ace on the hill, so the Twins need to get to him early. The wind will be blowing in at about 25 mph, so the best hitting team will win this game and that much wind over Hendrick’s shoulder, will take a lot of the stuff off the ball, so he shouldn’t be nearly as dominant as he usually is. We were so tempted to take the Over 7 Runs, but we’ll leave that one for Cinci.

5-Unit Play: Take 956 MILWAUKEE BREWERS -1.5, RL, OVER CARDINALS (7:40pm E, Tuesday, September 21) STL: Woodford. MIL: Woodruff

The Cardinals have been on a positive streak, lately and the Brewers don't like that much. They've seen this scenario with the Cards and the playoffs too many times before, and with the Cards beating them at home last night, look for the Brew Crew to show why they should own that division and why they should be a force to be reckoned with against the Cardinals today and in the, soon to come, playoffs.

10-Unit Play: Take 964 CLEVELAND INDIANS -1.5, RL, OVER ROYALS (6:10pm E, Tuesday, September 21) KC: Lynch. CLE: Quantrill

The Indians lost a doubleheader to the Royals, yesterday and we're sure that didn't set well. Look for Cleveland to come out aggressive on the pads and swinging for the fences today and win this one, with Quantrill on the mound.

5-Unit Play: Take 922 OAKLAND A'S -1.5, RL, OVER MARINERS (9:40pm E, Monday, September 19) SEA: Anderson. OAK: Manaea

We love this play. Oakland needs to start hammering some teams at home and it would start with Seattle with Manaea vs. Anderson. Oakland should handle this fairly easily at home and we think they will: very easily!

5-Unit Play: Take 906 MILWAUKEE BREWERS -1.5, RL, OVER CARDINALS (7:40pm E, Monday, September 19) STL: Woodford. MIL: Peralta

The Cardinals are due for a letdown, and this is the perfect place for it. They've eeked out a few wins, lately, but the Brewers are ready for them and should walk with this one.

5-Unit Play: Take 910 CLEVELAND INDIANS, GM 1, -1.5, RL, OVER ROYALS (4:10pm E, Monday, September 19) KC: Singer. CLE: McKenzie

Cleveland has been playing good baseball and their bats are hot. With McKenzie on the mound, they should win this one going away. We wanted to take the 2nd game of the DH, too, but we like the other plays too much.

4-Unit Play: Take 923 CHICAGO WHITE SOX -1.5, RL, OVER RANGERS (7:05pm E, Saturday, September 18) CHW: Lynn. TEX: Howard

You think the White Sox scored last night? Watch them against Howard, who probably won't make it out of the 3rd or 4th inning and with Lynn on the mound, don't expect much out of Texas. If Lynn is on, this is a chance for a no-hitter for him.

6-Unit Play: Take 904 WASHINGTON NATIONALS -1.5, RL, (4:05pm E, Saturday, September 18) COL: Freeland. WAS: Corbin

These were two other teams that took us by surprise yesterday, but we feel Corbin will outpitch Freeland and the Nationals have better bats, so look for a blowout here.

5-Unit Play: Take 973 CHICAGO WHITE SOX -1.5, RL, OVER RANGERS (8:05pm E, Friday, September 17) CHW: Cease. TEX: Hearn

The Rangers only thought they had a tough team in town lately (Houston). They don't have to think about this one: the White Sox are one of the best teams in the league and they'll feast on the Rangers tonight and the rest of the series.

5-Unit Play: Take 958 CINCINNATI REDS OVER DODGERS (7:10pm E, Friday, September 17) LAD: Buehler. CIN: Castillo

At first glance, it looks like the Dodgers should blow out the Red Legs. Not so fast. Don't forget that before Winker went down and Castellanos got hurt, they were one of the best offensive teams in the league. Well, it looks like Winker is back in the lineup tonight and with the way 2nd baseman, India is hitting, look for a big surprise against Buehler tonight. The Reds HAVE to prove they should be in the playoffs. Especially to themselves. This is going to be a tough series for the Dodgers.

4-Unit Play: Take 968 TORONTO BLUE JAYS -1.5, RL, OVER TWINS (7:07pm E, Friday, September 17) MIN: Pineda. TOR: Ryu

The Blue Jays know they have to get down to business and they'll play extra hard against the Twins. They are, by far, the better team. Pineda is a good pitcher, but when Ryu is on, he's almost unhittable. Look for the Jays to get out to an early lead and coast home with a victory tonight.

4-Unit Play: Take 951 MIAMI MARLINS -1.5, RL OVER NATIONALS (1:05pm, E, Wednesday, September 15) MIA: Rogers. WAS: Rogers

The Marlins are starting to play like the Marlins and, although Rogers will probably be the winning pitcher, today, it'll most likely be the Marlin's Rogers. They should beat the Nationals.

3-Unit Play: Take 908 NY METS -1.5, RL, OVER CARDINALS (7:10pm E, Monday, September 13) STL: Woodford. NYM: Stroman

We'll take Stroman, at home, against almost anyone. St Louis doesn't have the firepower to overcome him, and we see this game getting out of hand early, for the Cards. Mets HAVE to have it!

4-Unit Play: Take 920 HOUSTON ASTROS -1.5, RL, Over Angels (8:10pm, E, Friday, September 10) LAA: Ohtani. HOU: Valdez

Minnesota has taken care of Cleveland lately and we think they will today, too. They are one of the best road teams in the MLB and this should be one of Dobnak's best games. He's not as bad as his ERA suggests.

960 A's: Manaea - White Sox: Lopez

Oakland is really hard to beat at home and, like the Cardinals do very well in day games. Look for Manaea and the A's to get on the board early today.

The Yankees can't afford to lose this one - they need to make a statement to the Blue Jays. Gil will hold Toronto at bay, while Yanks bats will have Manoah holding his head in his hands, the first 4-5 innings.

4-Unit Play: Take 928 PITTSBURGH PIRATES -1.5, RL, OVER TIGERS (6:35pm, E, Tuesday September 7) DET: Manning. PIT: Keller

The Pittsburgh Pirates' Keller has been pitching his butt off and we see that continuing today. Pitt bats are hot, too, so this is our game of the day.

6-Unit Play: Take 968 NY YANKEES -1.5, RL, OVER BLUE JAYS (7:05pm, E, Tuesday September 7) TOR: Matz. NYY: Cole

The Pinstripes are starting to look like a playoff team - this is their time of year. Put Cole on the mound and just 10-12 hits by the Yanks and they should win this one, but there'll be a lot more than that.. There is no quit in Cole, but there's not quit in these offenses.

6-Unit Play: Take 901 NY METS -1.5, RL, +110 OVER NATIONALS (1:05pm E, Saturday, September 4) NYM: Stroman. WAS: Fedde

For Stroman, he's struggled a little lately. Not today. Mets will Crush the Nats and score a lot of runs doing it.

7-Unit Play: Take 952 CHICAGO CUBS -1.5, RL, OVER PIRATES (12:20pm E, Friday September 3) PIT: Brault. CUB: Mills

The Cubs are playing better, of late, while the Pirates have been struggling - big time. We like Chicago to not only win this game, but win the Run Line, too.

6-Unit Play: Take 909 OAKLAND A'S -1.5, RL, OVER TIGERS (1:10pm E, Thursday, September 2) OAK: Montas. DET: Manning

If Oakland plays like they can, they will out match the Tigers considerably. With Montas on the mound they have so much confidence, few teams could beat them. Watch the A's blow this one out.

Again, how do you say this without being redundant? Let's just make sure the redundancy favors us and we win all four plays. We will say this: we LOVE Sonny Gray at home, so most of the runs will need to be scored by the Reds in this one -we're okay with that!

5-Unit Play: Take 982 CINCINNATTI REDS (GM 1) -1.5, RL, OVER CARDINALS (1:10pm E, Wednesday, September 1) STL: Mikolas. CIN: Miley

If the Reds are going to win the NL Central, which is very doable, two things need to happen: 1) they need to get Winker back soon, and 2) they need to win double headers like this one today and pull away from the Cardinals, so they only have to worry about the Brewers.

The Twins couldn't cover our run line last night, but they sure will tonight. Chicago wins about once every 10 games, and this won't be one of them. Gant will be sitting on a big lead by the 5th inning (maybe earlier). Yes, they are that much better and we don't understand this line, either

5-Unit Play: Take 904 WASHINGTON NATIONALS -1.5, RL, OVER PHILLIES (7:05pm E, Tuesday, August 30) PHI: Moore. WAS: Corbin

The Nationals let us down, yesterday, but that changes tonight, as they will blow out Moore and the Phillies. We love this game and think the Nationals will get to Moore very early and into their bullpen by the 4th inning.

4-Unit Play: Take 966 OAKLAND A'S- 1.5, RL, +170 OVER YANKEES (4:07pm E, Saturday August 28) NYY: Cortes. OAK: Montas

The A's HAVE to win this game to make a point that they are as good as the Yankees, and they are. When Montas is on, he's tough. Cortes, not so much. Take the A's today.

The Mets need to turn things around and with Hill on the Hill should do so. Washington shouldn't stay close to them tonight, so look for a big Run Line win to get the Mets back on track.

The Braves need to prove they can beat good teams and there is no better place for it than at home with Fried on the mound. That's why we took the Run Line: we think they'll make a big statement tonight.

Miami is no slouch, and either is Hernandez. This value is too good to pass up at home where anything can happen. If Miami can get to Corbin early, this could be big payday.

The Mets need to get back on track and what better way than to blow out the Giants. The Giants shut them out yesterday and watch the Mets return the favor today.Cueto witll lose his temper, Walker will remain steady and this was almost our 7-Unit Play. Mets entertain their fans with a blow-out victory.

The Marlins are going to have to light it up to make a playoff run and we think Washington is the perfect opponent. Look for them to score early and often and come away with a win, with Luzardo on the mound. Fedde won't make it out of the 5th.

5-Unit Play: Take 958 COLORADO ROCKIES -1.5, RL, OVER D'BACKS (8:40pm E, Friday, August 20) ARI: Gilbert. COL: Gomber

The Rockies are nothing special but, at home, they can beat anyone and Arizona is no one. Look for Gomber to outpitch Gilbert and the Rockies' bats will take care of the rest.

4-Unit Play: Take 971 CHICAGO WHITE SOX -1.5, RL, OVER RAYS (7:10pm E, Friday, August 20) CHW: Giolito. TB: Wacha

Wacha's better days are over and Giolito's are just beginning. The White Sox are going to play their butts off and they should score early and often tonight. Look for an easy win by LaRussa's team.

The Pirates have proven they're a better team than most give them credit for. The Cardinals are ripe for the taking today. Pittsburgh has seen Wainwright umpteen times, but the Cardinals haven't seen Crow that much. The Pirates lay it to the Cards in Pittsburgh.

4-Unit Play: Take 904 SAN DIEGO PADRES -1.5, RL, OVER MARLINS (10:10pm E, Monday, August 9) MIA: Thompson. SD: Musgrove

The Padres, at home, can beat anybody and they can beat the Marlins. Musgrove will silence the Marlins' offense, while the Padres do their thing with the bats. They need games like this and we think you'll see them run away from Miami tonight.

5-Unit Play: Take 968 TORONTO -1.5, RL, OVER RED SOX (1:07pm E, Sunday, August 8) BOS: Richards. TOR: Ryu

The Blue Jays are not going to lose this one. They are looking really good as the team that should win this division and we think their best ball is yet to come. Ryu is as good as anyone, on the hill, so look for a blowout win, and a lot of Toronto runs today.

5-Unit Play: Take 932 LA DODGERS -1.5, RL, OVER ANGELS (4:15pm E, Saturday, August 7) LAA: Barria. LAD: Urias

If you didn't think the Dodgers were the best team in baseball before the All Star break, you might think again. They have made some great trades and have spent some money doing it and they walk away from the Angels tonight.

5-Unit Play: Take 908 ATLANTA BRAVES -1.5, RL, OVER NATIONALS (4:15pm E, Saturday, August 7) WAS: Gray. ATL: Morton

Finally, Atlanta has a game where they can flat blow out the other team. The Nationals are playing terrible baseball, while the Braves keep getting better. They win this one in a runaway today.

6-Unit Play: Take 902 PHILADELPHIA PHILLIES -1.5, RL, OVER METS (4:15pm E, Saturday, August 7) NYM: Megill. PHI: Suarez

The Phillies came to play in this, all so important, weekend series. We think the Mets are the better team, but Philadelphia plays at home with a chip on their shoulder. They win another one today.

4-Unit Play: Take: 974 OAKLAND A'S -1.5, RL OVER RANGERS (9:40pm E, Friday, August 6) TEX: Foltynewizz. OAK: Bassitt

If Oakland is going to make a run, they have to win games like this one, especially with Bassitt on the mound. The Rangers play decently at home but look for the A's to run away from them early. This shouldn't be much of a contest for them.

4-Unit Play: Take 924 CHICAGO WHITE SOX -1.5, RL, (8:10pm E, Tuesday, August 3) KC: Bubic. CHW: Cease

We don't think this game even has to be played. The White Sox will own games like this the rest of the season. Look for Cease and Chicago to blowout the Royals tonight. It shouldn't be close after the 2nd inning.

4-Unit Play: Take 964 TAMPA BAY RAYS -1.5, RL, OVER MARINERS (7:10pm E, Monday, August 2) SEA: Flexen. TB: Wacha

Anyone who watched the game last night, between Tampa Bay and Boston, knows how well the Rays hit the ball and basically got nothing out of it. It cost us the run line, too. Watch them hit tonight against Seattle.

4-Unit Play: Take 962 NEW YORK YANKEES -1.5, RL, OVER ORIOLES (7:05pm E, Monday, August 2) BAL: Lopez NYY: Heaney

Unlike the Rays, we think the Yankees will blow Baltimore out of the park tonight. They know not to take them lightly and, in the Division race they're in, they can't afford to. Lopez did not impress us the last time out, but Heaney sure does. Yankees in a rout.

5-Unit Play: Take 924 TAMPA BAY RAYS -1.5, RL, OVER RED SOX (7:08pm E, Sunday, August 1) BOS: PIVETTA. TB: McClanahan

Tampa Bay is playing the Red Sox just like they played the Yankees: as if something big is on the line. It is! They must prove they can beat anyone and so far, they have. Look for another victory from them tonight over the Red Sox.

5-Unit Play: Take 976 SAN FRANCISCO GIANTS -1.5, RL, OVER ASTROS (4:05pm E,  Saturday, July 31) HOU: Greinke. SF: Wood

This is another of San Francisco's chances to show they're for real. We like the pitching matchup and don't be surprised if Greinke is gone by the 5th inning. The Giants continue to surprise and they need to make a statement to Houston. We say they will today!

4-Unit Play: Take 970 BOSTON RED SOX -1.5, RL, OVER RAYS (7:10pm E, Thursday, July 29) TOR: Ryu. BOS: Rodriguez

The Toronto Blue Jays are playing good ball and pulled another out of the hat against the Red Sox last night. That doesn’t sit well in Boston and look for a little revenge from them tonight. Ryu is ripe for a letdown and no team knows how to give those out, more than the Boston Red Sox. They'll win easily tonight.

5-Unit Play: Take 926 BALTIMORE ORIOLES -1.5, RL, (7:05pm E, Wednesday, July 28) MIA: Holloway. BAL: Lopez

The Orioles are playing as well as anyone, at home, and they love playing spoiler. If they hadn't dug themselves such a deep hole, early in the year, they'd be a force to be reckoned with. As it is, teams don't like to play them. Lopez should keep the Marlins off the bases and Baltimore will get to Holloway early.

5-Unit Play: Take 980 SAN DIEGO PADRES -1.5, RL, OVER A'S (10:10pm E, Tuesday, July 27) OAK: Kaprielian. SD: Paddack

The Padres are, quite likely, the best team in baseball. At home is where they must prove it to stay in the hunt, in the division, though. The Oakland Athletics are big rivals, so they won't need much incentive to score a bunch of runs tonight.

4-Unit Play: Take 958 CHICAGO CUBS -1.5, RL, over Reds (8:05pm E, Tuesday, July 27) CIN: Gutierrez. CUB: Alzolay

The Cubs may be being gutted, but they haven't stopped playing for their fans. They have looked like world beaters, lately, at Wrigley Field and we don't see that changing, tonight, with Alzolay on the mound. Look for a big Cubs win.

5-Unit Play: Take  929 TORONTO BLUE JAYS -1.5, RL over METS (7:10pm E, Saturday, July 24) TOR: Ryu. NYM: Walker

Toronto left their bats in the hotel room yesterday. That's highly unusual. Watch them come alive today, as RYU shuts down New York. Watch them, after yesterday, also get agressive on the base pads.

4-Unit Play: Take 925 WASHINGTON NATIONALS -1.5, RL, OVER ORIOLES (6:35pm E, Saturday, July 24) WAS: Scherzer. BAL: Harvey

Harvey used to be a good pitcher, but the key words in that statement are, ??used to be?? Not anymore and do we have to say anything about Scherzer? A relatively low scoring game, but Washington, with Soto will score enough runs to keep Scherzer in the game a long time.

6-Unit Play: Take 904 PHILADELPHIA PHILLIES -1.5, RL, over Atlanta (6:05pm E, Saturday, July 24) ATL: Smyly. PHI: Velasquez

The Phillies are a heck of a ball club and now that they're hitting, they're going to be a force to be reckoned with. When Velasquez is on, he's as good as anyone and this is one of our top plays of the day.

5-Unit Play: Take 973 OAKLAND A'S -1.5, OVER MARINERS (10:10pm E, Friday, July 23) OAK: Montas. SEA: Kikuchi The Mariners are trying to pull back together thei early season magic, but it's not going to happen against a slugging team like Oakland, especially with Montas on the mound. We like Kikuchi, but he won't be able to keep the Athletics' offense down. Look for Oakland to walk away with this one.

4-Unit Play: Take 967 LA ANGELS -1.5, RL, OVER TWINS (8:10pm E, Friday, July 23) LAA: Cobb. MIN: Happ When Minnesota's Happ was in his prime, we'd have never made this play, but Cobb is a much better pitcher now and the Angels have a better offense. Not only will the Twins get outscored tonight, but they'll get outcoached, too.

4-Unit Play: Take 911 Tampa Bay Rays -1.5, RL, +110 OVER (7:10pm E, Thursday, July 22) TB: Patino. CLE: Quantrill.

The Rays got a win yesterday but let us down on the Run Line. They didn't play well until late, when they had to. We see Patino holding down the Indians and the Rays' bats get started a little earlier today.

5-Unit Play: Take 910 DETROIT TIGERS -1.5, RL, +140 OVER RANGERS (1:10pm E, Thursday, July 22) TEX: Foltynewicz. DET: Alexander

The Detroit Tigers continue to play well, especially at home and we're going to jump on their bandwagon and hope it's not too late. They have a lot of pride and they're a better team than the Rangers, so we see more loud bats and Alexander handling the Rangers, once again.

5-Unit Play: Take 960 STL CARDINALS -1.5, RL, +170 (8:15pm E, Wednesday, July 21) CUB: Hendricks. STL: Wainwright

The Cardinals ace against the Cubs’ ace and not a lot needs to be written here. These two teams hate each other and the Cubs won last night in St. Louis. Chicago is gutting their team and The Cardinals are just now starting to come together. They walk away from the Cubs tonight and we collect.

6-Unit Play: Take 964 TAMPA BAY RAYS -1.5, RL, -110 OVER ORIOLES (12:10pm E, Wednesday, July 21) BAL: Wells. TB: Wacha

The Orioles have been totally hit and miss this year and Tampa Bay has realized they’re good. Really good! There’ll be runs scored in this game, but most will by the Rays and the Orioles will fall even farther down in the standings.

4-Unit Play: Take 910 ARIZONA DIAMONDBACKS -1.5, RL, +180 OVER PIRATES (9:40pm E, Tuesday, July 20) PIT: Anderson. ARI: Widener

The Pirates outplayed the Diamondbacks, yesterday, but couldn't get over the hump for the victory. Arizona, with newfound confidence, has nothing to play for, but to beat teams like Pittsburgh when they come to town. The D'Backs are not as bad as their record and we think they'll win today.

5-Unit Play: Take 920 DETROIT TIGERS -1.5, RL, +170 OVER RANGERS (7:10pm E, Tuesday, July 20) TEX: Dunning. DET: Skubal

This is one of our favorite plays of the day. We think the Tigers should be favored by much more, especially with Skubal on the mound. Detroit has been beating some damn good teams - they should have no problem with Dunning and the Rangers.

5-Unit Play: Take 962 LA DODGERS -1.5, RL, +170 OVER GIANTS (3:10pm E, Monday, July 19) SF: Gausman. LAD: Gonsolin

The Dodgers never overlook the Giants – they’re bitter rivals, so it comes down to which is the best team and where they are playing. We have Gonsolin and Gausman fairly even, so that points all arrows towards the Los Angeles Dodgers. They win at home and by more than 2. They have to make a statement. 

5-Unit Play: Take 928 NY YANKEES -1.5, RL, +165 OVER RED SOX (7:08pm E, Sunday, July 18) BOS: Perez. NYY: Taillon

The Yankees are finding their way and with a win over the Red Sox yesterday, their confidence is back. Aaron Judge is out with Covid Protocol, but we think the Yanks have enough bats and a high enough “pissed value,” to overcome 1 or 2 players out sick. They need to end this series with a bang (bad humor after last night’s Nationals’ game).

5-Unit Play: Take 957 MILWAUKEE BREWERS -1.5, RL, OVER Cincinnati (7:05pm E, Saturday, July 17) MIL: Woodruff. CIN: Castillo

Woodruff is pitching out of his mind and, although we think the Cincinnati Reds will make a run for the division, now is not the time for the Big Red Machine. Milwaukee is here to make a statement and Yelich and Woodruff are their loudest voices.

4-Unit Play: Take: 953 SAN DIEGO PADRES -1.5, RL, OVER NATIONALS (7:05pm E, Saturday, July 17) SD: Snell. WAS: Corbin

The Padres are playing as good a ball as anyone right now – as is evident by their 24-8 win over the Nationals yesterday. 8 runs usually wins in MLB, but nobody expects 24 on the other side. Look for the Padres to keep hitting, but Snell to hold Washington down today. We don’t think the Nats go far in the 2nd half.

4-Unit Play: Take 927 HOUSTON ASTROS -1.5, RL, OVER WHITE SOX (8:10pm E, Friday, July 16) HOU; McCULLERS. CHW: Cease

The final game before the All Star Break, Houston had scored only 3 through 2 games and 8 innings in a 3-game series at home with the Yankees. They scored 6 runs in the bottom of ninth, to win, without making an out. That kind of thing produces so much confidence in a team and Houston will build off that, coming out of the Break.

5-Unit Play: Take 922 TORONTO BLUE JAYS -1.5, RL, OVER RANGERS (7:07pm E, Friday, July 16) TEX: Lyles. TOR: Ray

The Texas Rangers may have been better in the first half than everyone thought they'd be, but the Blue Jays are the real deal, and they really are one of the best teams in baseball. Throw in their ace, Ray and you have very few runs on one side and an explosive offense on the other. Rays should win this one easily in Toronto.

5-Unit Play: Take 901 MIAMI MARLINS -1.5, RL, OVER PHILLIES (4:05pm E, Friday, July 16) MIA: ALCANTARA. PHI: Moore.

Miami has come alive lately, both offensively and defensively and they're going to be a force to be reckoned with, in the 2nd half. They have it all and now they have it all working. They'll surprise the Phillies in Philadelphia today.
