CFL Opening night play on Calgary at 9:00 eastern. Calgary added LB Cameron Judge and few other key additions of the defensive side of the ball. They are also have QB Levi Mitchell returning from an injury. They under achieved last season despite having depth on both sides of the ball. Largely over shadowed in the West by Winnipeg they should be solid this year. They are home for a Montreal team that may be down this year after losing key pieces on defense and really not adding to much in the free agency market. Calgary ended last year on a 6-2 spread run and looked solid in a 30 point road win CFLX Action last week, while Montreal struggled at home winning by 1 over Ottawa. Look for Calgary to get the cover

CFL PLATINUM SUPREME move on the UNDER in the CFL Grey Cup at 6:00 eastern. Move on the UNDER

The CFL Play is on Edmonton at 9:45 eastern. The ELKS Have a home dog with rest advantage here and despite the ugly record they actually have some statistical edges over Hamilton here. They are off a pair of losses to Winnipeg which gives us some line value here. Hamilton is off a blowout win last wee but most of their games have been close this season. Look for Edmonton to cover.

Edmonton fits an opening game system and with the offensive talent they have they have a chance to be special this year. They will likely will light up the scoreboard tonight behind Qb Trevor Harris  and Ottawa despite a fast start in 2019 were dismal for most of that year and they really have very little in the way of offensive weapons for Qb Nichols. The Red Blacks should be decent on defense but have very little depth. They are 0-5 ats the last 5 road games. Edmonton has covered 5 of 7 in the series. Edmonton figures to improve and be a top team this year. Lay it with the Elks

We give credit to BC as they have won 4 of 5 and have 27 point home loss revenge here. They are 2-0 ats as a home dog from 3.5 to 7. They also fit a solid long term 80-55 system. Saskatchewan may win but this should be tight. Take the points.

BONUS Friday night hot side on Fresno st at 10:00 eastern. Fresno was whipped at Air Force last week and comes home to take on a UNLV team off a massive upset at Vandy last week. Fresno won last years meeting by 45 but will remember losing her by 10 2 years ago as a 22 point favorite. The CFL Totals system play is on the UNDER in the Hamilton at Montreal game at 7:30 eastern. Both teams have some injuries on the offensive side of the ball. The Ti-Cats WRs Brian Jones (undisclosed), Luke Tasker (shoulder) and David Ungerer III (undisclosed) are each listed as questionable for Thursday’s contest. Alouettes RB Jeremiah Johnson (undisclosed) is listed as questionable due to an undisclosed ailment. Montreal will also do without QB Antonio Pipkin who is sidelined until early August due to an ankle injury suffered in Week 1 in Edmonton. The Tiger cats have covered 12 of 15 in this series with Toronto and won all 3 meetings this season. Hamilton has the benefit of having played a game where as Toronto is off a rare week 1 bye. The CFL Power system Play is on the Calgary Stampeders. Game 367 at 7;00 eastern. We will play this on eon the reasonable money line as opposed to having to win by 4+ points. Calgary had won 8 straight in the series and both regular season games by 16 and 17 points last year before getting shocked as a 7 point favorite by Toronto in the Grey Cup. Now the have major revenge. In fact Saturday CFL Road favorites in week 17 or earlier are 12-2 straight up and ats since 2008.  Calgary has won six consecutive games against east division teams by an average margin of 26 points..
