The Rams are definitely worth a look here as a 3-point dog at Houston. Los Angeles hasn't been very impressive on the offensive side of the ball this preseason, but the defense has more than held their own. Whether it's the starters or reserves. LA has held all 3 opponents to 14 or less.

I also don't like the depth with Houston right now. Texans got a lot of guys on the injury list and I just can't see them being motivated at all for this one. Last week the Texans gave up 34 points and 362 total yards in a 34-0 loss to Dallas. They have allowed at least 23 in all 3 games. Expect more of the same tonight. Take Los Angeles! 

5* NFLX -Week 4 Preseason BEST BET on Bears -2½ -110

I just think this is an easy play here on the Bears laying less than a field goal at home. While the game is going to feature a bunch of backups, I like the depth in Chicago a heck of a lot more than I do in Tennessee.

Bears backups held the Colts to just 7 points over the final 3 quarters in last week's preseason action. Titans on the other hand mustered just two field goals against the Steelers. The offensive line was atrocious, giving up 7 sacks and the Bears are coming off a 6-sack performance against Indy. Take Chicago! 

4* NFLX - Steelers/Titans VEGAS INSIDER on Steelers/Titans under 40 -110

I see a defensive battle in the final preseason action for Week 3. I think a lot of people are sleeping on the Steelers this year. The offense might not be as potent, but the defense looks improved and I like the guys they got to run the ball. 

Titans defense was one of the best in the NFL last year  (8th in total defense, 3rd in scoring defense) and have looked good on that side of the ball the first two weeks of the preseason. I see them coming to play early, as this a great test for them before games start counting for real. Take the UNDER!

5* NFLX - Vegas NO LIMIT Top Play  on Texans +1 -113

I like the Texans here. Everyone focuses on the Elliott holdout, but Dallas has a lot of key guys who are hurt and either won't play or won't play much in this one. I know I wouldn't be playing Dak Prescott a lot if he's not going to be out there with his best players. 

You also have to factor in the Cowboys betting market and how their lines are almost always inflated. So while this game is right around a pick'em, I think the Texans should be at least laying a field goal here. Take Houston! 

5* NFLX - Preseason GAME OF THE YEAR on Bills -2 -109

Easy play here on Buffalo. The Bills are a perfect 2-0 in the preseason this year and are getting it done on both sides of the ball. Buffalo's defense has only given up 2 touchdowns and will benefit here from the Lions not playing Matthew Stafford and instead having to turn to the likes of Josh Johnson and David Fales.

Detroit's offense didn't score a point in the 1st half of their Week 1 game against the Pats and only managed a field goal last week against the Texans. Look for the Bills to jump out and cruise to an easy win and cover. Take Buffalo!

3* NFLX - No Doubt ATS BLOWOUT on Raiders +2½ -105

I like the Raiders to win this one outright, but I'm going to go ahead and take the 2.5-points with how crazy some of these preseason games can go. Oakland is the face of Hard Knocks this year and they have came to play so far in the preseason. They beat the Rams 14-3 as a 4-point favorite in Week 1 and 33-26 at Arizona as a 1.5-point dog in Week 2. 

Green Bay isn't saying if Aaron Rodgers will play, but let's be real. He's not someone that needs to play to be ready for the season. He's been dealing with back tightness, so it would really surprise me if he played more than a series or two and if he does play I don't expect him to do much. I just think the Raiders want this game a lot more than Green Bay. Take Oakland! 

3* NFLX - Saints/Chargers ATS DESTROYER on Saints -1 -109

New Orleans should have no problem taking out the Chargers in Sunday's Week 2 preseason action. Los Angeles just seems to always be hit hard with injuries and they just lost All-Pro safety Derwin James for months. That's a huge blow to this team and I think it might have the Chargers being a little cautious here. 

Chances are we wont see Drew Brees, but that's not a big concern cause he wouldn't play much anyway. The big key here is the talent New Orleans has behind Brees in Teddy Bridgewater and Taysom Hill. I'm pretty confident that Bridgewater is better than a number of starters out there on other teams and Hill is a tough matchup for opposing teams with his ability to run. I just don't see LA keeping pace here. Take Los Angeles! 

3* NFLX - No Doubt ATS BLOWOUT on Patriots +1 -110

It really doesn't matter who the Patriots are playing and who they are sitting. A Bill Belichick coached team is going to be ready to play no matter the circumstances. They absolutely dominated the Lions in Week 1 by a final of 31-3.

It wasn't just all garbage points late, as they were up 20-0 in the 1st half. It certainly helps having a guy like veteran Brian Hoyer to run the show while Brady rests up for the regular-season. Even 3rd stringer Jarrett Stidham played well. 

Just too good a price to pass up with New England, who is 6-1 SU in Week 2 of the preseason since 2013. Take New England!  

3* NFLX - Jets/Falcons ATS ANNIHILATOR on Jets +2 -105

I just don't know how you don't take the points with New York in this one. Clearly preseason games are not a big priority in Atlanta. The Falcons, who played in the Hall of Fame game this year have lost both preseason games in 2019. That's now 10 straight losses in the preseason for Atlanta.

Jets didn't look good in their first game against New York, but they didn't really play anyone. Atlanta's defense gave up 34 points to a Miami team that many feel is the worst in the league going into this season. They made Josh Rosen look good. I look for the Jets to score early and often and win this one comfortably. Take New York! 

3* NFLX - Week 1 ATS DESTROYER on Cowboys +4½ -108

I think it's worth a shot here to grab the points with Dallas. I think the public has driven up this line because they like what they see with the 49ers QB rotation, as quarterbacks depth is widely considered the top factor to look at in preseason games. 

What they aren't paying attention to is who is playing. Most know that Jimmy G won't be in action, but I feel the key here is the injuries they are dealing with on the defensive line. One that figures to get tested a bunch by a Cowboys team that needs to see what they got at RB with Zeke holding out. 

Best part is we don't even need Dallas to win the game, though I think it's a very strong possibility. Take Dallas! 

4* NFLX - Vegas ATS NO-BRAINER on Bucs +2½ -105

I think the books are begging the public to take the Steelers laying less than a field goal at home against the Bucs. That definitely makes me like the play on Tampa Bay even more. This one means a lot more to the Bucs. They want to get this thing started out right under first year head coach Bruce Arians. Take Tampa Bay!  

4* NFLX - Situational VEGAS INSIDER on Broncos -2 -110

I like the Broncos to come away with a win at Seattle in Week 1. I like that Denver has already got a game under their belt, as they took on Atlanta in the HOF game last week, but more than anything I like the Broncos QB rotation. 

Denver is expected to give a couple of series to their new starter Joe Flacco and you know he's going to want to impress. Kevin Hogan will replace Flacco and then look for the Broncos to give a long look here to rookie QB Drew Lock. 

Seattle will not play Russell Wilson and backups Geno Smith and Paxton Lynch aren't anything to get excited about. Smith is also reportedly playing at less than 100%, so expect the Seahawks to protect him as much as they can by running the ball. Seahawks are also really thin at RB right now with a bunch of guys banged up. 

I just feel like the Broncos are here to win and it's just not that important to a Seahawks team that knows they are a contender in 2019. Take Denver! 

3* NFLX - No Doubt ATS BLOWOUT on Jets -1½ -105

I think we are getting a great price here with the Jets as a small favorite in their annual preseason showdown with the Giants. Jets are a team a lot of people, including myself, expect to make a big improvement from last year, while this feels like more of a farewell tour for Eli Manning, as the Giants have gutted their roster of some big time talent, most notably OBJ. 

Preseason is more about the backups than anything and I think the Jets have the better depth and I like No. 2 QB Trevor Siemian to outperform the likes of rookie Daniel Jones and 3rd stringer Alex Tanney of the Giants. 

Another factor to note is the Jets are in the first year under head coach Adam Gase and there's always a little more motivation for first year head coaches to get their teams to perform well in the preseason. Take the Jets!

3* NFLX Over/Under Total DESTROYER on Bengals/Colts OVER

I know it's Week 4 of the preseason, which means just about every player who is expected to make a significant impact this season won't be playing. Because of this you get a lot of low totals and I just can't pass up on the value here with the OVER in tonight's matchup between the Bengals and Colts. 

These two teams will turn around and play each other in their Week 1 opener next Sunday. I believe this is going to lead to both sides showing next to nothing in terms of schemes and how they will attack the other team. I expect to see very vanilla defenses being played by both sides, which in turn should lead to a little more offense than we typically see. Take the OVER! 

4* NFLX Situational ATS NO-BRAINER on Cardinals +

I actually think the wrong team is favored in this game, but I'm not the least bit surprised given how big a public play the Cowboys are and the books knowing there will be plenty of action on this game with it being televised nationally on NBC Sunday night. 

The biggest thing here for me is the injuries that have mounted up on the Cowboys offensive line. Center Travis Frederick and right guard Zack Martin won't be in action. Right tackle La'el Collins is dealing with an ankle injury and left tackle Tyron Smith is dealing with both groin and back injuries. It wouldn't be a shock if both sat out this game, as there's no reason for Dallas to press them back in action.

That offensive line, when healthy, is what makes this team go, so it's likely they struggle with so many key pieces missing. I think this is going to make it really hard on Dallas to keep their Dak Prescott in there for the typical 2+ quarters we have grown accustomed to starters playing in Week 3.

I just don't see the Cowboys being able to keep pace offensively in this one and fully expect the Cardinals to win this game outright. Take Arizona!

4* NFLX Over/Under PLAY OF THE WEEK on Giants/Jets UNDER

I just don't see these two teams being able to eclipse this total. While there's a ton of excitement around the two teams first round picks, both of these teams are built around their defense. I also think that while this is may be just another exhibition game, these two teams don't like each other and neither wants to lose this game. 

Giants rookie running back Saquon Barkley isn't expected to play and it's still up in the air if Odell Beckham Jr. will suit up. Even if Beckham does play, I don't see him being in there for long, as he's just too valuable to lose to an injury in the preseason. That should lead to a conservative game plan for Eli Manning when he's on the field and the Giants are up against a Jets' defense that has shutout the Falcons and held the Redskins to 15 points. 

While rookie Sam Darnold has shown some flashes and Teddy Bridgewater has impressed, the Jets offense has only scored 30 points over their first two preseason games. The Giants defense has looked good in each of their first two games and with the starters likely playing at least a half, I expect another strong effort here. Take the UNDER! 

4* NFLX Vegas Insider GAME OF THE WEEK on Eagles +

This line has moved quite a bit in favor of the Browns, as Philadelphia actually opened as a 2-point favorite. I believe it's created a great opportunity to jump on the Eagles.

Cleveland is getting a lot of love this preseason because of the play of rookie quarterback Baker Mayfield. While he's flashed some potential, he's not exactly been all that accurate. He is just 18 for 33 (54.5%) over the first two preseason games. Cleveland only managed 20 points in Week 1 and 17 in Week 2. Their primary focus has been establishing the run, which is not a recipe for success against this loaded Eagles defensive front.

I also look for the Philadelphia defense to come out looking to make a statement after giving up 30+ in each of their first two games. Nick Foles is going to play a half and he's more than capable of running the offense. I also think people are overlooking the play of 3rd stringer Nate Sudfeld, who was 22 of 39 for 312 yards and 3 scores last week against New England. Take Philadelphia! 

5* NFLX Vegas Insider PLAY OF THE MONTH on Seahawks UNDER 

The books have set the total way too high for Saturday's Week 2 preseason action between the Chargers and Seahawks. Neither team was able to get much going offensively last week. In fact, both teams managed to score just 17 points and each needed a 4th quarter TD to get to 17.

I just don't think either of these teams have a lot to prove offensively, as they have two of the elite QB's in the game. Look for a very vanilla attack from both offenses with the starters and I don't see the backups doing near enough to push this over the mark. 

Adding to this is a great system that's hit at a very high rate over the last 5 years. UNDER is 71-37 (66%) when you have a total of 35.5 to 42 points where the home team is playing with 6 or less days of rest. 

4* NFLX ATS PLAY OF THE WEEK on Raiders

The Rams are expected to be one of the best teams in the league this season and I think it has them way overvalued here in Week 2 of the preseason against the Raiders. LA clearly didn't look all that interested in taking the preseason seriously, as they were annihilated 33-7 in Week 1 by the Ravens. Several of the key starters didn't take the field in Week 1 and word is the Rams won't be looking to play many of their starters again this week. 

The Raiders also have high expectations this season, but also have a lot to work on right now as they adjust to life under head coach Jon Gruden. Oakland won their preseason opener 16-10 over the Lions and look for them to runaway with this one. Take Oakland! 

5* NFLX TOTAL OF THE YEAR  on Cardinals UNDER

Log of public money on the OVER in this one, as they just can't help themselves betting the OVER in a Saints home game. I just don't think we are going to see a ton offense here from either side. Drew Brees is going to play, but I don't expect him on the field for long. 

New Orleans put up 24 in their preseason opener, but almost all the damage came on the ground, as they rushed for 135 yards and 3 scores and threw for 130 and 0 scores. Arizona's run defense was outstanding in their preseason opener, holding the Chargers to 56 yards on 21 attempts (2.7 yards/carry). 

Arizona also put up 24 in their opener, but a lot of that came late and I don't think they will have near the success against the New Orleans stop unit. 

There's also a huge system in play here that's hit 82% over the last 5 years. Under is 22-5 with a total of 35.5 to 42 where you have a home team off an upset win as an underdog and they have a winning record overall in the preseason. 

4* NFLX Over/Under Total NO-BRAINER on Bills OVER 38.5

I'm not sure what the books are thinking with the total in this one, but we are getting exceptional value here with the OVER in Friday's NFLX action between the Browns and Bills. 

I think a lot of this has to do with how low-scoring the Browns/Giants game was in Week 1 of the preseason. The two teams only combined for 30 points and Cleveland was responsible for just 10 of those. 

I know it's preseason, but Browns new QB, Tyrod Taylor, is going to be pumped up for this one against the team that didn't believe in his ability long-term. You also have Baker Mayfield waiting to come in and he looked really good against the Giants. 

Buffalo scored 23 and allowed 28 against the Panthers in Week 1. They got off hot with 17 first half points and the backups and defense let the offense down by allowing 21 in the 2nd half. I expect more of the same from the Bills on both sides of the ball. Take the OVER! 

3* NFLX Over/Under Total ANNIHILATOR on Chiefs UNDER

Neither the Chiefs or Falcons were able to get much of anything going offensively in their respective preseason openers. Kansas City scored just 10-points at home against the Texans and Atlanta was shutout in New York by the Jets. 

Ryan didn't play for the Falcons against the Jets, but I also don't expect him to play much in this one. Look for another struggle offensively for Atlanta here, as the Chiefs defense only gave up 17 to Houston. 

Under is 68-37 (65%) over the last 5 seasons when you have total of 35.5 to 42 where one of the teams is playing on 6 or less days of rest. Take the UNDER!

4* NFLX ATS PLAY OF THE DAY on Cardinals -

The Cardinals are definitely worth a look here at basically a pick'em at home against the Chargers. Los Angeles might be the better team in terms of potential regular-season success, but this is an exhibition, where none of that matters. 

If anything, Arizona is going to be the more motivated of the two sides to play well, as they are getting absolutely zero love from the media experts. Just about everyone has them picked to finish last in the NFC West and no where near the playoffs. I also think teams with a first-year head coach, like Arizona (Steve Wilks) are more likely to take this game a little more seriously than a veteran team like the Chargers. 

The other big key here is the talent the Cardinals have behind starting quarterback Sam Bradford. Not only do they have a big name in rookie Josh Rosen, who figures to get a long look in this game, but they also have Mike Glennon, who has played in 25 regular-season games and looking to prove his value to this team. Take Arizona!

4* NFLX Situational ATS NO-BRAINER on Saints +

I like New Orleans to come away with a win when they visit Jacksonville in Week 1 of the preseason, making them at any play as an underdog. Chances are we won't see Drew Brees on the field for the Saints, but they have an experience backup in Tom Savage and we likely will get a long look at 2nd-year signal caller Taysom Hill and rookie J.T. Barrett. 

Jaguars starter, Blake Bortles might play a series, leaving Cody Kessler and rookie 6th round pick Tanner Lee to take the majority of the snaps. I trust the backups for New Orleans a lot more than I do Jacksonville. I also think Jacksonville lacks quality depth behind their elite starting unit on the defensive side of the ball. Look for the Saints to create some separation in the 2nd half and secure the win and cover. Take New Orleans!

5* NFLX Underdog PLAY OF THE MONTH on Browns +

I believe the oddsmakers have the wrong team favored in this one. Despite the preseason having no real correlation to the regular season, the betting public will have a horrible time backing the Browns, who are coming off an 0-16 season. The Giants on the other hand are a team getting a lot of love as a bounce back team and there's all kinds of hype around rookie running back Saquon Barkley. 

The key here is the Giants are more of a veteran team that isn't going to play their starters more than a series or two. Barkley's touches will be limited, so it's unlikely he has much of an impact. Once Eli Manning is out of the game, if he even plays, the Davis Webb and Kyle Lauletta are the top two backups that will get action. I think the Giants will really struggle to put up points, much like they did in the first two weeks of preseason last year, when they scored just 12 points in Week 1 vs the Steelers and 6 the next week against these Browns. 

Cleveland is an extremely young team with all kinds of players who not only need the time on the field for experience, but are fighting for jobs. The Browns will surely give a long look here to 1st round pick Baker Mayfield and should have some success with veteran third-stringer Drew Stanton. I wouldn't be shocked if this turns into a blowout. Take Cleveland! 

4* NFLX 'Hall of Fame Game' Total No-Brainer on Bears/Ravens OVER

While neither team figures to play many of their starters, these two teams should have no problem eclipsing the low total set by the books. The biggest key here is the talent that both teams have at the quarterback position.

Baltimore figures to give a heavy workload to both RGIII and rookie Lamar Jackson, two guys I think that can have a lot of success against the second and third string defenses of the Bears.

As for Chicago, they don't have the big names at quarterback like the Ravens, but Chase Daniel and Tyler Bray are two guys that should play well, as both know the offense. Both were recently backups in KC, where new head coach Matt Nagy came from (QB coach 2013-15 & OC 2016-17).  These two should help the Bears keep pace with Baltimore and push this way over the mark. Take the OVER! 

4* Raiders/Seahawks NFLX ATS 'ANNIHILATOR' on Seahawks -1

The final week of preseason is all about depth and I think Seattle has a clear-cut advantage in that department. Just look at last week's game for Oakland. They couldn't protect a 20-10 lead in the 2nd half against the Cowboys and Dallas doesn't have the same caliber of talent at the back end of their roster as the Seahawks. We also have a great system backing this play. Road teams off 2 straight home wins, who have won 75% or more of their games in the preseason are 37-13 (74%) against the spread since 1993. At the same time, home teams with a line of +3 to -3 off a road loss that have won fewer than 25% of their preseason games are just 5-22 (18%) against the spread over the last 10 seasons. Take Seattle! 

4* Packers/Broncos NFLX ATS 'ANNIHILATOR' on Broncos - 

Unlike most teams which play their starters at least the entire 1st half in week 3 of the preseason, Green Bay is quick to pull the trigger on starting QB Aaron Rodgers. I don't see him playing more than a quarter here, especially with the Packers minus one of their starting tackles. Denver's defense should be able to limit Green Bays offense while Rodgers is on the field and I look for the Broncos offense to have some success here. Take Denver!

4* Pats/Lions NFLX Situational ATS 'ANNIHILATOR' on Lions +

No surprise that the public is all over the Patriots in this one, but this is not the preseason and winning this game means next to nothing for New England. I expect Detroit to be the more motivated side here at home, as this is a great test for them going into the season. The Lions have also looked great in their first two preseason games, winning both by double-digits. The Pats on the other hand have dropped each of their first two games. I'll take the points here, but I expect the Lions to win this one outright. Take Detroit! 

4* NFLX Situational ATS 'ANNIHILATOR' on Panthers -

Jacksonville is a complete mess right now. A lot of people see the QB battle between Bortles and Henne as a positive, but these are two below-average guys fighting it out. I don't see the offense doing much here against the Panthers. I know it's preseason, but look for Carolina to play with a little more urgency on defense this week after giving up 34 points to Tennessee last week, including 17 in the 1st quarter. Panthers should also get a boost here offensively with Cam Newton making his debut. Take Carolina! 

4* NFLX No Doubt ATS 'NO BRAINER' on Colts +

Public is pounding the Cowboys, which is creating big time value here with the Colts, even without Andrew Luck at quarterback. Dallas doesn't have a lot of talent behind the starters on either side of the ball and that showed in last week's 10-13 loss to the Rams. I expect Indy to keep it close enough to cover and wouldn't be shocked if they won outright. This also falls into a very profitable preseason system. Anytime you have a team that lost at home in their last game (Colts) against an opponent that lost last time out on the road (Cowboys) they have gone an impressive 25-5 (83%) ATS. 4* NFLX Situational ATS 'ANNIHILATOR' on Dolphins -

I like the value here with Miami laying less than a field goal at home against the Ravens. Baltimore is without starting QB Joe Flacco for the preseason and backup Ryan Mallett has not performed well in his place. That includes both practice and the first preseason game against the Redskins. Baltimore won the game in convincing fashion, but it was no thanks to Mallet, who completed just 50% of his attempts for 58 yards. 

I'll take my chances here with Miami who will get a boost here with the debut of starting QB Jay Cutler. I also like what I have seen from backups Matt Moore, Brandon Doughty and David Fales. Another big factor here is the weather and Baltimore's players having a hard time with the humid heat, as temps are expected to be in the high 80s with the heat index closer to 95. Take Miami!

5* NFLX Situational 'WEEK 1 BEST BET' on Chiefs -

Kansas City doesn't get near the respect they deserve. The Chiefs feature one of the deepest and most talented rosters in the NFL. They just keep getting overlooked because of Alex Smith being their starting QB. Smith is better than he gets credit for and the starters are expected to play the entire 1st quarter. I also love rookie QB Mahomes getting to play the entire 2nd half. 49ers are still in a learning proccess with new head coach Kyle Shanahan and simply don't have the depth to keep this close. Take Kansas City! 

5* NFL Preseason Week 1 'VEGAS INSIDER' Top Play on Eagles +1

Green Bay isn't a team that needs to win games in the preseason to feel good about themselves. They are one of the few that won't even send out their starting QB for a series. Philly is a team on the rise and coming into this year with big expectations. Wentz won't play a ton here, but we do figure to see a lot of Matt McGloin and he's capable of putting points on the board with the talent at hand. I'm also expecting a big game out of rookie running back Donnel Pumphrey. Take Philadelphia!
