T.M. Selection: Ottawa Senators puckline.

Colorado gets caught looking ahead here to its game in Montreal tomorrow. The Avs just broke a 2-game slide with a 4-1 win at Toronto. Ottawa, though, plays with revenge following a humbling 8-2 loss at Colorado two weeks ago. The Sens snapped a two-game slide with a big 7-1 blowout win over the Golden Knights, and I think they'll keep that momentum rolling; lay the price for Ottaway on the puckline (although don't be shocked by an outright upset!)

T.M. Prediction: 4-3 Ottawa.

T.M. Selection: Ducks.

Yes, the Ducks are off a 4-3 OT win at Calgary just last night, but they've won seven in a row and I think they'll be competitive here in this difficult venue as they face the Oilers for the first time this season. Edmonton just snapped a two-game slide with tough 6-5 OT win of its own on Saturday. The outright win is very possible in my estimation, but the best value lies in grabbing the red-hot visiting side on the puckline option in my opinion!

T.M. Prediction: 4-3 Anaheim.

T.M. Selection: Panthers puckline.

While I feel the outright win is the most likely outcome for the Panthers here, I feel more comfortable laying the still reasonable price for the extra 1.5 goals of insurance. The Panthers already beat Carolina here by a score of 5-2 back in December and Florida enters on fire after back-to-back victories. Carolina, on the other hand, has lost two straight. Don't be shocked if/when Florida wins this one outright, but my official call is to grab the Panthers on the puckline option!

T.M. Prediction: 4-2 Florida.

T.M. Selection: Canadiens.

Edmonton is 3-3-1 and Montreal is 6-2 after its 2-1 OT win at Calgary last night. Fatigue won't be a problem for the surging Habs though, as we're still right at the start of the season. In fact, I'll argue that playing on consecutive nights right now will only help even more with team chemistry. Speaking of chemistry, Connor McDavid and the home side have been struggling with that and also consistency from game-to-game. At this price, Montreal becomes my non-conference puckline GAME OF THE YEAR!

T.M. Prediction: 4-2 Montreal.

T.M. Selection: Flames.

The Knights are 1-2 and all three games have gone to OT or a shootout. We should expect another highly competitive game here as well, one that will also likely be decided in overtime or the shootout, and because of that, I'm recommending to grab Calgary on the puckline option. The Flames are also 1-2, but everything points to rebound here, as note that the last time they played the Knights, they won 5-4 in a shootout. Great value here on Calgary on the puckline option!

T.M. Prediction: 4-2 Calgary.

T.M. Selection: Dallas Stars puckline.

Jake Oettinger is a really good goaltender and I believe he'll keep his team competitive in this game late, and because of that, I have no issues at all laying the larger price for the extra 1.5 goals of insurance. Connor McDavid is the best player on the ice, but Dallas has already done a great job of slowing him and Leon Draisaitl down. The Oilers' top line is near-impossible to slow down, but Dallas counters with more depth, with  Mikko Rantanen, Jamie Benn, Matt Duchene, Mikael Granlund leading the way. In a contest that I see being decided late, or in extra time, I'm grabbing Dallas on the puckline option.

T.M. Prediction: 4-2 Dallas.

T.M. Selection: Capitals puckline.

While I absolutely feel that an outright win is going to be the most likely outcome in this contest for the Capitals, at this price, I think the correct call is to grab the visitors on the puckline. Carolina blanked Washington 4-0 in Game 3, but just like after losing Game 1 by a score of 2-1 in OT, the Capitals would then respond with a convincing 3-1 win in Game 2, and I believe they'll now do so again here in Game 4. The Hurricanes were strong at home, finishing 31-9-1, but Washington enters as no slouch on the road at 25-13-3. Look for Alexander Ovechkin and this "stalled out" Capitals offense to finally get things "put into gear" here in Game 4. And while I do indeed for sure think the Capitals can win this one outright, as I stated at the start, my official call is to grab the value here, which I feel is the Capitals on the puckline.

T.M. Prediction: 3-2 Washington.

T.M. Selection: Minnesota Wild puck line

Minnesota has played the Golden Knights very tough so this seems like an awfully generous offer here to be able to have the Wild +1.5 goals at a very reasonable price as low as -135 as of mid-day Tuesday. The one game that Vegas won by a 2-goal margin in this series was a 3-2 game before a very late empty net goal gave the Golden Knights the puck line cover. Also, the Wild are off a 4-3 OT loss in Game 4 but won the two prior games by a 5-2 final each time. The point is that the value is quite big here on the Wild when you consider these factors. At 1.5 goals the Wild could easily already be 4-0 in the series in terms of covers and they should again get at least the puck line cover here on Tuesday.

T.M. Prediction: 3-2 Minnesota or 3-2 Vegas (either covers for us)

T.M. Selection: Montreal Canadiens spread (puck line +1.5)

Montreal lost in OT in Game 1 and they got a lot of confidence in battling back from a 2-0 deficit to force OT. The Canadiens have a great shot at the upset here in Game 2. They outshot the Capitals in Game 1 and played a very solid all-around game. Even if they fall short of the upset, it is a big boost to have the +1.5 goals on our side. Montreal has only 1 loss by more than 1 goal in last 11 games so this play is testing a 10-1 run for the Canadiens at +1.5 goals. The Capitals have only 2 wins by more than 1 goal in last 13 games so that also puts this one in a 2-11 spot to fade Washington. All of the above a key reason I am going with a very big play here on the underdog. 

T.M. Prediction: 3-2 game (no matter which team wins a 3-2 gets the cash for +1.5)

T.M. Selection: Ottawa Senators

We have seen it time and time again with the Maple Leafs in terms of struggling in the post-season. They have a ton of pressure on them here. Toronto is on home ice and favored quite big and I like the value of the puck line with the Senators as this way we don't get burned on a 1-goal loss. The Sens have come a long way and they also have had success against Toronto so this is not a good match-up for the Leafs either. Ottawa won all 3 regular season meetings and by an average score of 3 to 1. Also, only 6 of last 25 (24%) Maple Leafs games have been Toronto wins by more than 1 goal! Ottawa went 8-4 last 12 games and, out of last 14 games only had 2 losses by more than 1 goal!  

T.M. Prediction: 2-2 in regulation and then a 3-2 final one way or the other

T.M. Selection: Maple Leafs.

The Hurricanes are locked into their seeding for the post-season already and Carolina truly seems over-valued here considering that fact. Both teams in a B2B and that is not easy but Toronto is still the more motivated team here. The Maple Leafs are trying to hold off the Lightning for the top spot in the Atlantic Division. Toronto getting +1.5 goals is a huge value here. The Hurricanes had lost 4 straight before their big win over the Rangers yesterday. Toronto has only 3 losses by a multiple goal margin in last 16 games. I am grabbing the puck line value here with the highly motivated underdog on the road in this one. I expect underdog upset but want the +1.5 if the game swings the other way late.

T.M. Selection: Stars puck-line -1.5

Minnesota has been hot on home ice but has lost 3 of 4 on the road. All 3 of those Wild losses by 2 or more goals. Dallas has revenge from home ice loss to Minnesota in late December. The Stars normally a very strong team on home ice. Overall in all games, prior to B2B wins coming via OT, the last 10 wins for Dallas included 7 by 2 or more goals. They get home ice revenge here and they get it in a back way! Lay the -1.5 goals for the plus money!  

T.M. Prediction: 5-2 Dallas

T.M. Selection: Penguins puck-line +1.5

Pittsburgh is rested here and their 4-1 loss at Colorado was not a final score that was indicative of the game and how it played out. That was a 1-1 game with under 5 minutes to go when things got crazy. The Penguins entered that game off 2 straight 1-goal losses and a win. The point being that the Penguins could easily be on a 4-game run in which having the +1.5 goals with Pittsburgh would have netted one a 4-0 record in the betting markets. Vegas is off a 5-2 win but that was only the 8th time last 21 games that the Golden Knights have won by 2 or more goals. Vegas has a revenge game with the division rival Kings on deck and has less rest than the Penguins coming into this game. It sets it up well for an upset and certainly plenty of puck-line value at +1.5 goals.  

T.M. Prediction: 4-3 Pittsburgh OR 4-3 Vegas - could even be decided in OT or SO - take +1.5 goals

T.M. Selection: Senators puck-line -1.5

Ottawa off B2B home losses after starting the season winning 16 of 25 games at home. The Sharks have won only 6 of 31 road games! You can see this is a mismatch and the Senators are -300 favorites on the money line. I am latching on to the puck line value in this one by laying the 1.5 goals. Ottawa should be at its best after a 4-1 home loss to a strong Winnipeg team. The Senators now make the most of this opportunity as now they are hosting a Sharks team that has lost 7 straight games and 16 of 18 games! Ottawa was up 2-0 after one and 3-1 after two in the first meeting between these teams but then found themselves in a 3-3 battle before notching the 4-3 win. The Senators will be much more aggressive here even with the lead and I see them pulling away as they make up for the recent losing streak on home ice.

T.M. Selection: Canucks puck-line +1.5

While I do feel that the Canucks have a legit shot at taking this one outright (consider sprinkling a little on the moneyline!), my official call will be to lay the price for the visitors at +1.5 on the puck-line. The Canucks have struggled since the break while the Kings have won both games since the break. Vancouver will be highly motivated to reverse that trend here as they also have revenge for an ugly home loss the last time these teams met. In fact the road team has won both meeting this season. Look for a very strong effort from a Canucks side motivated by a rather weak effort in the loss at Utah in most recent game. Note that Vancouver has only 3 losses by more than 1 goal in last 13 games. Taking a look at the other side here, Los Angeles has only 6 wins by more than 1 goal in last 23 games! In a contest that I could see being decided in extra periods or being knotted up late or decided on a late goal, I say the sharp wager is Vancouver on the puck-line.

A little different format for me today on Saturday, February 8th as I have one play going from each of the 3 major sports today - NBA, CBB, NHL - and look for the 3-0 SWEEP! In NHL this is a great spot for the Stars as they are off a tough shootout loss to the Kings in LA last night. Dallas now takes advantage of facing the worst team in the NHL. The Sharks have lost 41 of 56 games this season plus they are the coldest team in the league and have lost 9 of 10 games and lost 23 of 28 games! The Stars will not be happy tonight and they take out their frustration on a struggling home underdog in this one. Road favorite dominates. TM Selection: Dallas 5-1

T.M. Selection: TAMPA BAY - Spread 

I like the Tampa Bay Lightning to win this game in rout fashion against the Chicago Blackhawks on Tuesday, January 28th. Coming off a road shutout loss to the Red Wings, Tampa is sure to respond at home where their most recent game was a 5-1 win over those same Red Wings. The Lightning are a different team when on home ice and have gone 15-6-1 there this season. Chicago is a horrible 5-15-3 on the road this season! The Blackhawks have lost 13 of 16 games and are in the wrong place at the wrong time as the Bolts are sure to respond on home ice after a rare shutout loss. Tampa Bay has won 8 of last 10 on home ice and the average margin of victory in the 8 victories was 3 goals! The Lightning roll again here and should win this by at least a 2 goal margin as they bounce back off a shutout defeat and add to the road misery of the Blackhawks.

I like the Toronto Maple Leafs to win this game in rout fashion against the Columbus Blue Jackets on Wednesday, January 22nd. Coming in off B2B big blowout wins (12-6 combined score) and overall off 3 straight wins, Toronto is looking to get on a long winning streak. Revenge will be served here as they surely have not forgotten a 6-2 beatdown at Columbus in the first meeting between these teams this season! Columbus is struggling badly to score goals on the road so it is the perfect spot to fade them! The Blue Jackets have lost 17 of 23 road games this season. The Maple Leafs have won 19 of 28 home games this season. Toronto has won 8 of 11 overall and the Leafs and have won 10 of last 14 at home against Eastern Conference opponents. With goal scoring on the rise for surging Toronto and with the Blue Jackets struggling for any scoring touch on the road, another big win for the Maple Leafs here!

I like the Washington Capitals to win this game in rout fashion against the Anaheim Ducks on Tuesday, January 14th. Coming in off a big blowout win against Nashville in their last game, Washington is looking start a winning streak. It has been amazing on the road and at home this year for them, and they have a much better record both on the road at home than the Ducks do. Anaheim is off an upset of the Hurricanes so it is the perfect spot to fade them! Anaheim had really fallen apart before the most recent few weeks of this season but they had been defeated in 7 of 10 road games before the upset win of the Canes. They had lost three road games in a row before beating the Hurricanes. I've got the Capitals big here on Tuesday. They have been getting strong net-minding from Logan Thompson this season and Washington has 18 wins with him between the pipes and 14 of the 18 were by two or more goals. Another big win here!

The Senators were in Ottawa Monday for a hard-fought 4-3 win over the Flames and then had to travel a long way to California for this one Wednesday. The Sharks have been playing much better hockey for a long period now. In fact, note that San Jose has only 3 losses by more than 1 goal in last 15 games. Taking a look at the other side here, Ottawa has only 4 wins by more than 1 goal in last 20 games! In a contest that I could see being decided in extra periods or being knotted up late or decided on a late goal, I say the sharp wager is San Jose on the puck-line.

T.M. Selection: Canucks puck-line (MONEY-MAKER)

While I do feel that the Canucks have a legit shot at taking this one outright (consider sprinkling a little on the moneyline!), my official call will be to lay the price for the visitors on the puck-line. Both games have been tight so far in this series. In fact, note that Vancouver has played to six straight one goal decisions. In a contest that I could see being decided in extra periods once again, I say the sharp wager is Van on the puck-line.

T.M. Prediction: 4-3 Vancouver.

T.M. Selection: Tampa Bay Lightning puckline.

While I do think an outright win is very possible, in the end I'll recommend to lay the juice for the visitors on the "puckline option." Tampa beat Florida here 5-3 in mid March, and honestly I would not be shocked by an outright upset here either. Both teams are really familiar with each other. Each is stacked with veteran lineups that have plenty of experience. In a contest that I could EASILY be decided in sudden death periods, I'm going to lay the price for the 1.5.

T.M. Prediction: 4-2 Tampa.

T.M. Selection: Washington Capitals.

While I do think an outright win is possible, in a contest that I believe will be much more exciting and tight than what this spread is suggesting, I'm grabbing the visitors on spread option (puckline.) Washington is in a dog fight just to get in the playoffs right now, tied with the Wings for ninth spot, but just one game behind the 7th and 8th spots. It's a log-jam with just under two weeks left to go in the regular season. Carolina is in third. It's tied with Florida with 101 points. Regardless, it's the Capitals who will be risking life and limb here to pull off the upset. I say that'll be enough with the 1.5 goals to get us the money here on this one on Friday night.

T.M. Selection: LA Kings puckline (-1.5).

Off five straight losses, including a 2-1 loss at Anaheim just last night as a -190 favorite, I expect Ottawa to be "gassed" here in the second game of the B2B scenario. It plays at San Jose next, so it's a look-ahead spot as well. The Kings are off a tight 2-1 OT loss here to the Canucks, but I not only expect them to win here, but to win BIG. So lay the 1.5 goals for the healthy return!

I like the Colorado Avalanche to win this game against the Chicago Blackhawks on Thursday, February 29th. Coming in off a big blowout win against Dallas in their last game, Colorado is looking start a winning streak. It hasn't been amazing on the road this year for them, but they still own a better record on the road than the Blackhawks do at home. Chicago have really fallen apart after the first few weeks of the season. They have lost four games in a row now. I've got the Avalanche big here on Thursday.

I like the Winnipeg Jets to win this game against the Chicago Blackhawks on Friday, February 23rd. It's been a struggle for Chicago this season. Bedard has definitely been good when available, but they just aren't good enough still to be competitive with the good teams. Averaging just 2.07 goals a game, it's going to be difficult for them to score against perhaps the best goalkeeper in the world. I've got Winnipeg winning by more than a goal here.

I like the Arizona Coyotes to win this game against the Carolina Hurricanes on Friday, February 16th. Yes, the Coyotes have lost seven games in a row. Yes, the Hurricanes won the only meeting between the two this season. Yes, Carolina owns the better record. Well, Arizona is ready to turn things around. It wasn't the best news they've heard when goaltender Connor Ingram got hurt in their last game. Having said that, Vejmelka is actually better than his record. He's still decently young and could prove to be the starter next season. In this building Arizona plays very well. Carolina has been a lot worse on the road than at home this season as well. I'll gladly take my chances on the Coyotes to bounce out of this slump, plus the extra goal and a half on Friday.

I like the Los Angeles Kings to win this game against the San Jose Sharks on Monday, January 22nd. Coming off only their 11th win in 46 games, the Sharks are still the worst team in hockey. They are 4-19-2 on the road this season and I expect that they'll struggle again today. The Kings may have a better road record than at home. But, they are off a big win against the Rangers which should help bring their confidence levels back up. I've got LAK winning by more than a goal here.

I like the New Jersey Devils to win this game against the Florida Panthers on Saturday, January 13th. With plenty of teams on very large winning and losing streaks right now, hockey is getting interesting. Even after reaching the Stanley Cup last year, - with the par start that they had, Florida wasn't really a team anyone was talking about. Well, they've now won nine straight games and look to be a threat. However, this is a tough matchup for them, even at home. The Devils are hungry for a big win to spark something and they are getting tremendous value on both the ML & PL. I've got them winning outright.

T.M. Selection: LAK - Spread. 

I like the Los Angeles Kings to win this game against the San Jose Sharks on Tuesday, December 19th. San Jose has actually looked competitive over the last while after starting this season off horrendously. However, they still are most definitely one of the worst teams in the NHL. Looking at the Kings, they are an insane 12-1-1 on the road this year and they've got one of the best rosters in the NHL. Expect them to pour it on the Sharks on Tuesday in an epic beatdown.

I like the Vegas Golden Knights to win this game against the San Jose Sharks on Sunday, December 10th. San Jose enters this game off back to back wins. I believe that they'll start struggling again starting now. Vegas is heating up and the Sharks are just not very good. Expect a beatdown here.

I like the New Jersey Devils to win this game against the San Jose Sharks on Friday, December 1st. Coming off yesterday's shutout loss, the Sharks are about to go on another dreadful losing streak. New Jersey is starting to heat up and they've got a harder stretch ahead of them. A win here would go a long way for a Devils side that needs all the help they can get. Expect a big game from Hughes and for NJ to win by more than a goal.

I like the Boston Bruins to win this game against the Columbus Blue Jackets on Monday, November 28th. Even though Boston has struggled, Columbus is not good. Having won to games straight, the Jackets lost again yesterday making it their tenth loss in twelve games. I believe that they'll struggle dearly for the rest of the year. Boston is in need for a game like this to break their slump off back to back losses. Hammer Boston - the goal and a half here.

I like the Seattle Kraken to win this game against the San Jose Sharks on Wednesday, November 22th. Even though Seattle hasn't been great this year, they are a whole lot better than just Sharks team. I believe that this is one of the worst teams in NHL history and I expect them to keep playing badly throughout this season. Seattle should be able to pick it up, but a win here is crucial. They've got the Canucks up next in what will be a huge game for them. But, look for them to take care of business with a multi-goal win against a very bad sharks team at home.

I like the Vancouver Canucks to win this game against the San Jose Sharks on Monday, November 20th. Even though the Sharks are coming off a win, it's still only their third of the season. Vancouver obliterated SJS in the first meeting by a score of 10-1. After losing back to back games themselves, it's time for a big bounce back game from what was the hottest team in the league. SJS's team might be one of the worst ever so I do not see them winning b2b games again so early in the season. Expect a beatdown.

I like the New Jersey Devils to win this game against the Pittsburgh Penguins on Thursday, November 16th. It's been a rough little patch for the Devils over the past few games, but I believe that they are in for a rebound against the Penguins. Pittsburgh has won five games in a row and are due for a loss. The Devils have won five straight meetings between these teams. I like NJ to keep it within one, and win this game on Thursday.

T.M. Selection: New York Islanders - Puck Line 

I like the New York Islanders to win this game against the Vancouver Canucks on Wednesday, November 15th. The terrific start from the Canucks has made them one of the most talked about teams so far. However, I now think them to be slightly overrated. They did add a bunch of new guys which have definitely improved, but the Islanders are due and I believe this is the match for them to get back in the winning ways. NYI has either won or lost by only one in 14 straight meetings between these two teams. I expect that number to rise to 15 after tonight. Yes, this line is steep but I'm hammering the Isles in this one.

I like the Edmonton Oilers to win this game against the San Jose Sharks on Thursday, November 8th. Edmonton completely dominated the first period against the Canucks and just got nothing past Demko. Against a very bad Sharks team, I expect those shots to go in. I'm actually surprised the Sharks grabbed their first win in their last game against the Flyers. It was to come eventually, but they've been really really bad. Edmonton should get back on track here with a convincing blowout victory.

T.M. Selection: WIN - PUCK LINE 

I like the Winnipeg Jets to win this game against the Vegas Golden Knights on Thursday, November 2nd. Even off back to back losses, I think Winnipeg will be the team to break through and beat VGK in regulation. They've already played Vegas tough this season, allowing two goals in the final five minutes to lose 5-3. But, they've gained some chemistry and this Jets team has great goaltending. Give me the Jets + the extra goal and a half.

I like the Carolina Hurricanes to win this game against the San Jose Sharks on Friday, October 27th. I've already won in this exact matchup with the exact same play earlier this season. Carolina was off three straight losses (prior to Thurs,) but are definitely the better team. Both teams will be in the second game of a back to back and that's always tough, especially for road team (San Jose in this case.) I've got Carolina winning by a lot once again here today.

San Jose lost their top point getter in the offseason, Erik Karlsson, who had 34 more points than the 2nd best skater. Carolina is healthy now and look to continue their excellent start. Expect a beatdown.

I like the Florida Panthers to win this game against the Vegas Golden Knights on Tuesday. Although Vegas has won most of the series so far, the Panthers have definitely been in this series throughout. Florida may not be at home, but I expect them to force a Game 6 back at home. Getting the extra goal and a half makes me like the play even more. Expect an easy cover.

I like the Florida Panthers to win this game against the Toronto Maple Leafs on Tuesday. I know grabbing them plus the extra goal is expensive, but it just makes me love this play even more. The Panthers are fresh off a huge Game 7 OT win against the best regular season team of all time. Now, with their confidence higher than ever before, they look to steal Game 1 in the 2nd Round of these playoffs. They've got excellent goaltending, and very skillful players. If the Leafs underestimate them one bit, they'll bite them in the throat. I expect the Panthers to carry that momentum over to this series, and start out strong. I'm grabbing the extra goal just to be safe.

I like the Los Angeles Kings to win this game against the Edmonton Oilers on Saturday. I've said it before and I'm going to say it again. This Kings team keeps getting disrespected with the lines that they are receiving. I know that they are facing elimination now, but I still expect them to pull through and get my the Oilers in this series. Both games in LA went to OT (Gm 3 & 4.) LA has been excellent at home all year long and they are finally healthy. I do expect Copley to get the start, but I'm extremely comfortable grabbing the extra goal either way. In a must win game, at home, give me the Kings in this one.

I like the Los Angeles Kings to win this game against the Edmonton Oilers on Tuesday. In my opinion, this has been the best series to watch so far. With three of the first four games going to Overtime, this has all the makings of a seven game series. In the past two games, I've taken the Kings +1.5 as well (won both.) I believe that they are still getting undervalued with how good they really are. Kevin Fiala is fully back with a game under his belt. Expect the Kings to show up here in Canada and steal Game 5 in this intense series.

I like the Los Angeles Kings to win this game against the Edmonton Oilers on Sunday. The LA Kings just keep getting disrespected. At home, after they just won in this building, the Kings are an underdog by quite a bit once again. Once again, I'm playing it safe, but hammer the Kings in Game 4.

I like the Los Angeles Kings to win this game against the Edmonton Oilers on Friday. Looking at this line, there's plenty of value betting the Kings straight up. However, I'm happy with grabbing the extra goal just in case. The Kings have played extremely well against Connor McDavid so far in this series, and I expect them to keep eliminating him from the equation. Kempe has really stepped up in the absence of Fiala, and Iafallo, Arvidsson & Vilardi have all came alive. It's been a pretty even series so far, but I'm expecting the Kings to get the job done on home ice here in Game 3.

I like the St. Louis Blues to win this game against the Dallas Stars on Wednesday. The Blues are playing very well as of late, especially at home (4-0-2 L6 games.) Dallas will start Wedgewood in goal tonight, as they finally clinched home advantage for the first round with the Wild losing last night. Wedgewood is not nearly as good as Oettinger and I believe that the hot Blues could be in for a fun night. They've got some young talent so expect the Blues to keep this one very close and even pull off this upset as they play again tomorrow at Dallas.

I like the Colorado Avalanche to win this game against the San Jose Sharks on Thursday. These two teams just met on Tuesday in a one goal win for the Avalanche. Today, I'm expecting the defending champs to turn it up a notch and dominate. The Sharks have been out of the playoff conversation for a while now, but Colorado is currently in a dog fight to win the Central Division. Currently sitting at the top, they are tied with the Stars and the Wild with 98 points a piece. This is a massive game for them. Expect nothing short of a blowout.

I like the Toronto Maple Leafs to win this game against the Columbus Blue Jackets on Tuesday. Off their loss against the Red Wings last time out, I'm expecting the Leafs to bounce back against the Jackets. Columbus is actually coming off a win themselves. However, they still haven't been playing well all year long and I don't believe that they have what it is to compete with the Leafs. Toronto wants to secure home ice against the Lightning in the first round and if they keep losing, that will slip away from them. This is the perfect chance to build some confidence en route to the postseason. Lay the hammer down on the Maple Leafs.

I like the Buffalo Sabres to win this game against the New York Rangers on Friday. The Rangers might have the better overall team, but I'm expecting the Sabres to give it all they've got as they attempt to keep their season alive today. Devon Levi, the stud from Northeastern University will get the start in this one. It's his first career NHL game but he's got all the talent in the world. He's just what the Sabres need and I believe that he will provide a spark in this locker room. NYR played last night in a gruelling battle against the Devils. This will be a tough game for them as Buffalo is at home. Grab the extra goal and sit back and watch this winner unfold with ease.

I like the Florida Panthers to win this game against the Toronto Maple Leafs on Wednesday. Although the Panthers have lost four games in a row, they still find themselves contending for a playoff spot. However, they have to start winning games, and fast. Florida has a very strong team, they just haven't been able to put the puck in the net. This is the perfect opportunity for that to change as the Maple Leafs have allowed 20 goals over the past five games. The Maple Leafs sit in a spot where they can't really move up or down in the standings. Therefore, getting the extra goal with Florida gives them the slight edge. Grit and determination will win this game for the Panthers.

I like the Seattle Kraken to win this game against the Minnesota Wild on Monday. Although this line is very steep, I'm all in with this selection. The Kraken are very strong on the road with their 24-9-4 record. Minnesota hasn't been better than that either at home (23-11-3.) Both teams are coming off a win, but I was more impressed with Seattle in their seven goal performance against the Predators. Minnesota loves to win games by just a goal so if they somehow win this game, I'm expecting it to be close. In their last meeting, the Wild won 1-0. In the meeting before, the Kraken won 4-0. I'll gladly take the extra goal here.

I like the New York Rangers to win this game against the Florida Panthers on Saturday. Although the Panthers need this win badly, I expect the Rangers to outplay them in this one. NYR comes in off a big time win against the Hurricanes last time out. Even though it was a low scoring game, the Rangers played some excellent hockey and Shesterkin looks to be back in form. Now, they are an underdog in a game where they most definitely shouldn't be. They've got one of, if not, the best rosters in the entire league and are just starting to heat up. Even with the big line, I'm grabbing the +1.5 with ease as I expect an easy win for NYR here today.

I like the Vegas Golden Knights to win this game against the Calgary Flames on Thursday. Although getting the extra goal and a half makes this line pretty steep, I still love the value. Vegas is playing very well and they want to finish the year off strong. Calgary is coming off a win, but have been overrated all season long and haven't been able to string many wins in a row together. Calgary beat them a week ago, so I expect Vegas to give them a fight here on Thursday. Give me Vegas plus the extra goal.

I like the Ottawa Senators to win this game against the Pittsburgh Penguins on Monday. Although the Senators have lost five consecutive games, they look sharp in their last outing against the Maple Leafs. I mean they outshot them by 23 as they had 52 shots on goal. The Penguins got absolutely crushed by the Rangers on Saturday (6-0.) It's going to hard to come back from that game right away. The Senators have the talent to make the playoffs, but they need this win to build their momentum back up. I don't expect them to fall short again. I'll gladly take the extra goal though.

I like the Ottawa Senators to win this game against the Toronto Maple Leafs on Saturday. Although the Leafs may be the better team, the Senators are still fighting for a playoff spot. They've made it hard for themselves, having lost four straight games. However, I believe that they will play this game like a “must-win” game situation against their national rivals. At home, give me the Senators plus the extra goal.

I like the Boston Bruins to win this game against the Detroit Red Wings on Saturday. Boston is coming off a loss, but they should have the best goalie in hockey back between the goal posts in this one. Ullmark has been nothing short of unbelievable this season as he is pretty much a guarantee to win the Vezina Trophy. Boston almost never loses back to back games and should win this game easily. They beat them 5-1 last time, and should beat them by a similar margin here.

I like the Los Angeles Kings to win this game against the Colorado Avalanche on Thursday. Finally some respect on the Kings as they are just slight underdogs against the defending champs. However, I still believe that this is great value considering how good the Kings really are. Colorado may have won their last game 6-0. But, they has lost three straight games prior to that. The Kings have now won four consecutive and I keep telling you guys to stop sleeping on them. They are coming ready to play come playoff time. In their last meeting, the Kings took it in a shootout. I'm expecting another close game and I'll gladly take the +1.5.

I like the Vegas Golden Knights to win this game against the Florida Panthers on Tuesday. I haven't at all been impressed with this Panthers team as of late. I know they've got some new faces this season, but they have been one of the most inconsistent teams in the league this season. Vegas is very talented. Even with their goaltending injuries, they still own the best record in the Western Conference. I'm shocked that they are an underdog in this game and I wouldn't be surprised if Vegas wins this one easily. I'll gladly take the extra goal though.

I like the Carolina Hurricanes to win this game against the Montreal Canadiens on Tuesday. Carolina has been one of my favorite teams to watch all season long and they are still getting disrespected by some. Everyone keeps talking about Boston, Toronto, Tampa or even NYR out of the Eastern Conference. Carolina belongs in that conversation as well. On an incredible 16-3-1 run over the past twenty games, Carolina is on top on the Metropolitan. On the other hand, Montreal is once again at the bottom of the Atlantic. They are just are 1-6 in their last seven games when their opponent allows two goals less in their last game. Carolina is also a perfect 7-0 in their last seven games played against teams from the Atlantic Division. Expect an absolute destruction here.

I like the Buffalo Sabres to win this game against the Buffalo Sabres on Monday. Although the Oilers have the best player in the NHL in Connor McDavid, I believe that the Sabres can beat them here, especially with their home crowd behind them. In previous meetings between these two teams, the underdogs have actually been quite successful. In fact, the underdog is 9-2 in their L11 matchups. Buffalo won the only meeting this season back in October. With Rasmus Dahlin back and fully healthy, I expect the Sabres to win this absolute shootout.

I like the Carolina Hurricanes to win this game against the St. Louis Blues on Tuesday. They may not have the best record in the league quite yet, but Carolina is sure the hottest team in the league right now. On an incredible 12-1-1 run over the past fourteen games, nobody is playing on their level at the moment. St Louis is coming off back to back losses after trading away yet another key piece of their roster in Ryan O'Reilly. The Blues have also lost four consecutive road games. Expect a dominant performance from the home side in this game on Tuesday Night in Carolina.

I like the Winnipeg Jets to win this game against the Chicago Blackhawks on Saturday. Winnipeg is a very solid hockey team, while the Blackhawks are struggling once again. The Jets sit in second place in the Central Division, with Chicago sitting in dead last with the second least points in the entire NHL. Mrazek will get the start in this one for CHI, and he's been pretty bad all season long. He's given 14 goals in his last three starts, losing all of them. Expect a Winnipeg destruction here at home.

I like the Pittsburgh Penguins to win this game against the New Jersey Devils on Sunday. Fresh off their long 5-game road trip, the Devils return home in a big game against the Penguins. Pittsburgh has on of the best goalies in Tristan Jarry back in net as they look to win back to back games here. The Devils have played much better on the road this season than at home. I expect Pittsburgh to upset the Devils in this one as they look to get just a point behind the Capitals here for the 4th spot in the Metropolitan.

I like the Dallas Stars to win this game against the Arizona Coyotes on Saturday. Off their disappointing blown 3-0 lead to the Sharks on Wednesday, the Stars followed it up with a 4-0 thrashing on the Kings on Thursday. Therefore, this will be the third game in four days for Dallas. The past four times they've been in this situation, the Stars are a perfect 4-0. In their last 22 meetings against each other played in Dallas, the Stars are 17-5. Expect them to hammer the Coyotes in this one to end their week off with a bang.

I like the Colorado Avalanche to win this game against the Chicago Blackhawks on Thursday. Even though it hasn't been the greatest stretch for the defending champs, but they have a great opportunity to start getting back on track with this game against the Hawks. Chicago, who's managed to somehow win back to back, still own one of the worst records in hockey. Dating back to last season, they are just 6-47 in their last 53 game against an opponent with a winning record. Expect a blowout win for the Avalanche with Mrazek (2-10-1, 4.19 GAA) in net for Chicago.

I like the Detroit Red Wings to win this game against New Jersey Devils on Wednesday. While the Devils still have a ridiculous record considering their struggles as of late, they aren't at all what the record shows. They've now lost nine of their last eleven games. In their last five meetings against each other, the Devils are a dominant 4-1 (80%) Expect the Devils to cover the spread easily.

I like the Minnesota Wild to win this game against the Anaheim Ducks on Wednesday. This should be a destruction with two teams on both ends of the standings. The Wild have now won five straight games after beating the Senators on Sunday. The Ducks have won back to back, but they still have the worst record in the Pacific Division. Minnesota won the last time they played, and I believe that they will win game again on Wednesday night.

I like the Dallas Stars to win this game against the Columbus Blue Jackets on Monday. While the Stars have been excellent to start the season, the Blue Jackets have been pretty awful. Although they lead the central division, Dallas is coming in off an OT loss against the Hurricanes and I think they'll bounce back here. The Jackets have lost three straight by a total of 12-3 during that stretch. Give me the much better side here in this one.

I like the Boston Bruins to win this game against the Arizona Coyotes on Friday. Off their shootout loss against the Golden Knights, the Bruins responded in a big way with a shutout win against the Avs on Wednesday. Ullmark should get the start, who is an incredible 15-1-0 on the year so far. Arizona enters this game on a six game losing streak and I expect that to grow even further after tonight. Dating back to 2010, the Bruins are 19-0 against the Coyotes. Make that 20-0 after yet another destruction.

I like the Carolina Hurricanes to win this game against the Anaheim Ducks on Tuesday. The Hurricanes have once again been one of the best teams in all of hockey to start the season. Anaheim, on the other hand, has been one of the worst. With their 6-17-3 record, it's been a struggle. The Ducks do however have some very good young talent and I expect them to be a team on the rise in the coming years. Carolina has won four straight games and I believe that they will have no problem in winning five straight with ease on Tuesday Night.

I like the Boston Bruins to win this game against the Chicago Blackhawks on Saturday. This is a mismatch no matter how you look at it. The Bruins have gotten off to a ridiculous 15-2-0 start, while the Blackhawks are just 6-7-3. Boston has now won five games in a row, all by two goals or more. Chicago have now lost back to back games, each by three goals. Boston is just the better team here. At home, I love -1.5 in this situation.

Not only do I expect the Knights to win this game, I believe they'll do so by a sizeable margin. The Sharks are off a rare 3-2 shootout win at Minnesota on Sunday and I expect a predictablel letdown. Vegas is 13-3 and it's averaging 3.69 GPG and allowing 2.31. It's off a rare 3-2 home loss to St. Louis three nights ago, so expect the rested Knights to come out flying tonight!

I like the Buffalo Sabres to win this game against the Arizona Coyotes on Tuesday. Off back to back losses, the Sabres find themselves back at home where they are 4-2 so far this season. Although the Coyotes have won a few games, they aren't a team that is going to make any noise at all this season. With Rasmus Dahlin potentially coming back for this game, I expect Buffalo to have no problem with their home fans behind them on Tuesday.

I like the Los Angeles Kings to win this game against the Toronto Maple Leafs on Saturday. Off their 6-4 loss against the Jets, the Kings are just 4-5-0 on the new season. LA has been struggling a bit on the defensive end, but their offense looks very pure. So far this season, they rank 4th in face-off win percentage with a 54.6% win rate. They've also now scored 11 goals in their last 3 games. The Maple Leafs come in off back to back losses to the Golden Knights and Sharks. They haven't looked too sharp either, especially on the road. I expect the home team to keep this one close and end up pulling out on top in this big game for both teams.

I like the New York Islanders to win this game against the Florida Panthers on Sunday. The Islanders are one of the best coached teams in the National Hockey League. Although they've started the year only 2-3, they've got the talent to get back to the playoffs once again this season. The Panthers come off a lucky win against the Lightning in Overtime on Friday. I expect the Islanders to win this game and I'll gladly take the points.

I like the Colorado Avalanche to win this game against the Seattle Kraken on Friday. Off a disappointing loss against the Winnipeg Jets on Wednesday in Overtime, the Avalanche will look to bounce back against a not so hot Seattle team. Off their Stanley Cup last year, the Avalanche have looked like they could very well repeat at times this year. With an easier matchup here on Friday, I expect them to bounce back in a huge way and light up the stat sheet in this one. Give me Colorado.

I like the Boston Bruins to win this game against the Anaheim Ducks on Thursday. Boston comes into this game off a shocking loss to the Ottawa Senators last time out. Although they lost, they still put up 5 goals. Now, against Anaheim, they'll have Linus Ullmark back in between the posts, who's got a 2-0-0 record this year. In 4 games this season, Boston has scored 21 goals. I don't expect them to keep that up all year, but they are looking very strong on the offensive side this season. Looking at the Ducks, they have really struggled this season. They started their year off with an OT win against the Kraken, but Anaheim now has dropped 3 games in a row, while giving up 17 goals in those games. Boston has been winning 57.8% of face-offs so far this year as well, which makes them the best team in hockey. That will help them win a lot of games if they keep that up. Expect the Bruins to come out hungry off their first loss, especially with them back at home on Thursday.

I like the Tampa Bay Lightning to win this game against the Philadelphia Flyers on Tuesday. The defending Eastern Conference Champs have struggled a bit to open up the season. They bring a 1-2 record into this matchup, but they'll be at home for the first time this season here. Tampa Bay still has their main core of superstars including Steven Stamkos, Nikita Kucherov, Brayden Point, Victor Hedman and Andrei Vasilevskiy, so I have no doubt that they will turn it around and finish the year off with another playoff berth. The Flyers, on the other hand, somehow bring a perfect record into their first game on the road this year. Last season, Philadelphia was only 25-46-11. This year, they aren't supposed to be good either. The Lightning were 51-23-8 Now, the two will face in a big spot. If the Lightning are to win this game, which they should, they will be right back in it. With a loss, they'll start the season 1-3, which is a bad sign for every team. Expect the "dynasty" of the last few seasons to dominate in their home opener.

I like the Boston Bruins to win this game against the Arizona Coyotes on Saturday. Although the Coyotes have some decent players, they are just not up to the standards of these powerhouse teams. Including preseason this year, Arizona hasn't won a game (0-8.) Last season saw themselves have a 25-50-7 record, making them one of the worst teams in the NHL. For the Bruins, they come into this game off a win against the Capitals on Wednesday. Bergeron, Hall, Krejci and Pastrnak all had points in the win and I expect them to dominate again on Saturday. With the Bruins at home, they should have no problem winning this game by more than a goal.

T.M. Selection: Pittsburgh Penguins -1.5

I like the Pittsburgh Penguins to win this game against the Arizona Coyotes on Thursday. It will be the opening game of the year for both of these two sides and I believe that the home team will own the advantage in this one. The Penguins ended off their preseason with a huge 7-1 win against the Buffalo Sabres on Friday. Goaltender Tristan Jarry played very well and the top guys from this extremely talented team looked ready for the season opener. For the Coyotes, they have been a team that hasn't performed too well the past few years. They were just 25-50-7 last season and ended up with just 57 points. Not to mention they were 0-7 this preseason. I expect the Penguins to be all over them from the opening face-off on Thursday. Ride the big favorite on the puck-line in this one.

T.M. Selection: Montreal Canadiens 

I like the Montreal Canadiens to win this game against the Toronto Maple Leafs on Wednesday. Although Toronto is a big favorite, I believe that the Canadiens have what it takes to upset them in this one. The Maple Leafs will be without John Tavares to open the year up, and look to be not in their best form. Montreal picked up Juraj Slafkovsky with the number 1 pick in the draft, so I expect him to make some noise in this one. Montreal might not win this game, but they'll keep it close in what should be a very competitive/high scoring opening matchup for both of these two Canadian teams. Back the home team here.

T.M. Selection: Tampa Bay Lightning +1.5.

I like the Tampa Bay Lightning puckline against the Colorado Avalanche in this game on Friday. The Lightning are trailing in this series 3-1 now and they are on the brink of not only elimination but losing the cup to the Avalanche in this game. They are still the B2B defending champions and I expect them to bring their best effort in this game with their backs against the wall. They had a great start in the previous game but as the game went on they let it get away from them and ended up losing in OT on home ice. The Lightning know they can't lose this game so I expect their best effort here to try and win and even if they lose, I don't expect this game to be a blowout. The Lightning already took the Avalanche to OT in the 1st game of this series in Colorado, and even their 2 meetings during the regular season went to OT so these games are always close when they play each other. The Lightning still have the better goalie with Vasilevskiy in net and I think the Lightning will score some goals in this game to keep up with anything the Avalanche throw at them. The defense was also great in the previous game and I expect these 2 teams to be neck and neck all night. I like the Lightning puckline here to win or at least keep this game close.

I like the Tampa Bay Lightning puckline in this game against the Colorado Avalanche on Wednesday. The Lightning have looked really good in their games lately and I think they are going to continue that here winning this game. They have won 4 games in a row after losing the 1st 2 games of that series to the Rangers but they had a sweep over the Panthers in the previous round too so those 2 losses to the Rangers have been their only 2 losses in their previous 12 games. Those 2 losses also came right after a 10 day layoff for the Lightning after sweeping the Panthers, so they weren't at their best for that game. The Lightning really turned it on in the previous series against the Rangers and I think they have their killer instinct back with the way their defense has looked. Vasilevskiy has also looked incredible in these most recent games and I expect he will continue his great performance into this series. The Avalanche swept the Oilers in the previous round so they are facing a similar situation that the Lightning were with a long layoff before playing this series. I think we are going to see the same thing here for the Avalanche as we saw in the Lightning and I expect the Avalanche to get a slower start here and not be on the ball after such a long layoff. Even if the Avalanche win this game, I don't see them winning by more than 1 goal here since Vasilevskiy has looked so good in their games but I think the Lightning can win this game and take the series lead right off the bat here. I like the Lightning puckline in this game.

T.M. Selection: Edmonton Oilers +1.5.

I like the Edmonton Oilers puckline against the Colorado Avalanche in this game on Thursday. The Avalanche took the 1st game of this series in an 8-6 win but the goaltending was terrible on both sides and the Oilers still looked great on offense. They got off to a quick start in that game but the Avalanche started to dominate shortly after and eventually took a 7-3 lead in the game. The Oilers never quit though and they put a great effort in that game still, scoring 3 goals unanswered after that to make it a 7-6 game with a few minutes left to play. The Avalanche would go on to score an empty net goal to win the game 8-6 but almost blowing that 4 goal lead is not the best look for them and I expect the oilers to tighten up with their defensive effort here. I also think Mike Smith will bounce back in this game too, he had a terrible game in their 1st of their series against the Flames similar to this game, losing that game 9-6 but the whole team bounced back after that to win 4 games in a row and eliminate the Flames. I think Smith will play better here and I expect the Oilers to play better on defense too. Their offense is clearly still hot and Kuemper even left the previous game with an injury so he is not in the best condition. Kuemper already suffered an eye injury earlier this postseason and now he is dealing with an upper body injury, whether that is the eye injury or he is dealing with something else entirely now, that can't be good for the Avs here and I have no confidence in their backup Francouz to stand on his head for an entire game against this hot offense. I think this is a big bounce back game for the Oilers here. I like the Oilers puckline in this game.

I like the Edmonton Oilers puckline in this game against the Colorado Avalanche on Tuesday. The Oilers have been really hot lately, they have won 4 games in a row now and 6/7 of their previous 7 games. I think they are going to continue this big run they are on with another win here but I'm going to be on the puckline in case they do lose because I think it will be either a close loss for them or complete Oilers domination here. They lost the 1st game of their previous series to the Flames but won 4 in a row after to win that series and 3/4 of those wins were by 2+ goals. Even in their loss they looked great, scoring 6 goals in that game and only lost because of a really bad night for their goalkeeping. The Oilers are also scoring a ton of goals in their games lately with 4+ goals in 5 games in a row now. They are on a roll and I don't think that is going to stop here with how good they have looked lately. The Avalanche won their previous series in 6 games but they didn't always look good in their games and they even struggled to win some of the games they came out on top of. They didn't even look that good in their home games either, losing 2/3 of their home games in the previous series. The only home game they won in that series was in game 1 and the Avs had to win that game in OT. They lost the 2nd game 4-1 on home ice and then followed up with another loss in their next home game after that, losing 5-4 in OT after blowing a 3-1 lead very late in the 3rd period and then another 4-3 lead after that with less than 2 minutes left. Even in their most recent game in St Louis, they won 3-2 but were trailing 2-1 in that game until they tied it in the 3rd period and they never even led in that game until scoring with 4 seconds left to shock the Blues and send them home when everyone though that would be headed to OT. I think the Avs have started to look shaky in their games lately and the Oilers have been really hot. I like the Oilers puckline in this game.

I like the St Louis Blues puckline in this game against the Colorado Avalanche on Friday. The Blues managed to stay alive in the previous game with a big win but they really showed their resilience in that game with a great effort. They were dominated for the 1st 2 periods of that game but they really stepped up in the 3rd and their playoff experience really showed as they managed to come back from down 3-1 with less than 5 minutes left, and then after giving up another late goal to go down 4-3 they scored again to send it to OT where they would ultimately win the game. The Avalanche looked really nervous near the end of that game as they were pressed back on their heels for a majority of the 3rd period and they lost the game on a weak and fluky shot in OT which really shows how they gave in to their nerves after the Blues turned it on. The Blues showed that killer instinct and I think they are going to play that way from the beginning of this game being a more friendly environment on home ice and I expect to see their best effort again being on the brink of elimination still. I think the Blues are a live dog in this game but even if they do lose the game, I expect it to be close or possibly even a loss in OT. The Blues are hot now with some momentum going into this game and they should play more comfortably on their home ice here. I expect them to be pressuring the Avs here the entire game like they were in the 3rd period of the previous game. I like the Blues puckline in this game.

I like the St Louis Blues puckline in this game against the Colorado Avalanche on Wednesday. The Blues have lost 2 games in a row now and they are down 3-1 in the series on the brink of elimination here. I think they are going to be desperate in this game and I expect them to play their best game of the series here. They have already won a road game in this series though, it being their only win of the series, but I think they can keep this game close with a good effort. They didn't look terrible in their 2 most recent games, they still lost both games on home ice by 3 goals, but it was really just 1 period in each game that they let get away from them after having a strong start in the games. Ville Husso hasn't really looked great either since coming in for the injured Binnington but he did play a majority of their regular season games this year and I expect him to shake off his nerves and put up a better performance on home ice here. Both of the games in this series that were in Colorado were the 2 best games that the Blues played in this series. They got their 1 win 4-1 and then also lost the 1st game of this series in OT 3-2. I think this is going to be a close game just like those 2 and I expect the desperation to take over for the Blues here. They have the playoff experience on their team from when they won the Cup back in 2019 and I think they can at least put up a good fight here. I like the Blues puckline in this game.

I like the Colorado Avalanche puckline in this game against the St Louis Blues on Thursday. The Avalanche looked really good in that 1st game of this series. They needed OT to win that game but they really dominated the Blues for a majority of that game and they peppered the net with 50+ shots too. The Blues may have tied it up late to send it to OT but the Avalanche spent a majority of that game in the Blues' zone and they deserved to win that game in the end. I think this game is going to be much easier for the Avs now that they have had a feel for the Blues in this series and I expect them to come out even stronger on offense in this game to bury the Blues here. The Blues are still missing 2 of their top defensemen here and I think that is going to play a factor here with the Avalanche being so good on home ice lately. The Blues looked good in their previous series but now they are playing the leaders of the West and they swept the Predators in the 1st round for good reason. The Avalanche were hot going into the playoffs and they have continued that with a 5-0 record in this postseason already. The Blues also struggled against the Avs all year, losing a majority of their games against each other and I think this game is going to be similar. The Avalanche were scoring a ton of goals in the 1st round and I expect them to get back to that here with a dominant performance on their home ice here. I like the Avalanche puckline here to win this game by 2+ goals.

T.M. Selection: Florida Panthers -1.5.

I like the Florida Panthers puckline in this game against the Washington Capitals on Wednesday. The Panthers evened up the series in their most recent game getting their home advantage back in this series and now have a chance to take the series lead on home ice in this game. The Panthers have already shown glimpses of that killer team they were all regular season in the 2nd game of this series when they evened it up 1-1 with a big bounce back win 5-1 on home ice. They stepped up then to even it up 1-1 and then stumbled in Washington but stepped up again in their previous game to even it up once more at 2-2 and I think they will step up again here coming back home for a chance to take the lead. Their goaltending has been hit or miss in this series but it was a lot better in that previous game and their defensive effort overall was great since the Capitals didn't really get a lot of shots on net in that game. It took a big effort from the Panthers to tie the game with the pulled goalie and then force an OT where they won the game. I think they will have all the momentum on their side here coming home and I expect the home crowd to energize them here. They have put the pressure back on the Capitals to steal another road game and I think that they will play more like they did in the 2nd game of this series, winning it with a big home effort. The Panthers showed us all year that they have the offense to compete with anyone in the league and after their previous game, they have shown a great defensive ability too. I expect this to be a big game for the Panthers to step up in and I see them answering the call tonight. I like the Panthers puckline in this game.

I like the Nashville Predators puckline in this game against the Colorado Avalanche on Tuesday. The Predators haven't looked great in their games lately, they lost 4/5 of their final 5 games of the regular season but the 1 win that they got during that time was against the Avalanche. The Predators have also beaten the Avalanche in 2/3 meetings with them this year and I think they can keep this game close enough where if they lose, it will only be by 1 goal. They have even been playing in a lot of close games lately and even though they have lost 3/4 of their previous 4 games, all 3 of their losses were by 1 goal. The Avalanche haven't looked great in their games lately either and I think they are going to take some time to get going in this series. They have lost 6/7 of their final 7 games to end the regular season a majority of their losses in their final 5 games were by 3+ goals. The Avalanche also just got some very important players back in their lineup and I think it will take some time for the lines to gel again, making it easier on the Predators to defend the Avalanche here. The Predators have also had no issues with scoring goals and they even came back down 2 goals in their game against the Avalanche, forcing it to a shootout where they won it. I think there is a good chance that this game could see OT and I think it is going to be very close. I like the Predators puckline here.

I like the Philadelphia Flyers puckline in this game against the Winnipeg Jets on Wednesday. The Flyers were starting to gain some momentum in their games lately with 2 wins in a row but that was stunted in their most recent game when they lost to the Blackhawks 3-1 on Monday. I still think the Flyers have looked a lot better in their games lately and I like them to win this game over the Jets who haven't looked that great lately. The Jets just beat the Avalanche in their most recent game but the Avs collapsed late in that game and that was on the end of a losing streak for them where they weren't playing well at all. The Jets had lost 4 games in a row before winning that game over the Avs and every loss during that time was by 2+ goals. They have been giving up a lot of goals in their games lately and their defensive effort has been shaky at best. The Flyers have been scoring a lot lately and have looked a lot better in their games, I think they will put some pucks in the net here and put the Jets in a hole that their offense can't climb out of. They have also blown a few leads on their 4 game losing skid so if they go up in this game I don't think they will be able to hang on. I like the way that the Flyers have looked lately and I think they have been a lot better than the Jets in their games lately. I like the Flyers puckline here since I think they can win this game.

I like the Seattle Kraken puckline in this game against the Minnesota Wild on Friday. The Kraken have looked really good in their games lately and they have won 3 games in a row now. They won a close game against the Devils but they looked a lot better in their 2 most recent games, winning 1 game by 2 goals over the Senators and the other game by 1 goal over the Avalanche. The Avalanche have been really hot lately and the Kraken were able to shut them down as they are still in the hunt for 3 more points to break their franchise record of points in a single season. The Kraken were in control of that entire game too since they jumped out to an early 3-1 lead and held it for the game. The Kraken are playing in a road game here but the Wild are on a B2B game after playing against the Canucks the previous night. The Canucks have also been very hot lately and that was a tough game for the Wild to win which probably took a lot out of them. They won the game 5-3 but they were trailing 3-2 late in the 2nd period before tying it up and then didn't get the winning goal until there was less than 7 minutes left in the game. I think the Kraken are going to put up a really good fight here since they have looked good lately and have been gaining a lot of momentum in with their wins. They don't have much to play for here but I think they will try to finish their year off with some wins so they have something positive to go off of for next year. I also expect the Wild to be tired from the night before and they have already clinched a divisional spot, knowing who they are going to be playing in the playoffs too. I like the Kraken puckline in this game.

I like the St Louis Blues on the puckline against the Seattle Kraken in this game on Wednesday. The Blues have looked a lot better in their games lately and I think they are going to continue on their run here and have another big game over the Kraken here. The Blues have won 2 games in a row now with both wins being by 2+ goals but they have also won 4/5 of their previous 5 games with a majority of those wins being by 2+ goals too. The Blues have also been great on home ice this year and I think they are going to smack a team like the Kraken here who have been 1 of the worst teams in the league all year and have been terrible in road games altogether. The Blues just routed a team of the Kraken's stature with a 5-1 win on home ice over the Coyotes and I think this is just a taste of what's to come from this team as they get ready for the playoffs. Now is the time to get hot before rolling into their 1st playoff series and I think they will take advantage of another easier game here since their schedules picks up a bit and gets tougher after this game. The Kraken just beat the Stars in their most recent game 4-1 but that game was on their home ice where they are much better, they have still been terrible lately despite that win though. They have lost 2/3 of their previous 3 games and the 2 losses were both on home ice too, getting shut out in 1 game and losing 5-2 in the other. The Kraken have been terrible lately and their season is pretty much over already but the Blues still have plenty to play for and I expect them to start getting really hot since now. I like the Blues to win this game by 2+ goals.

I like the Detroit Red Wings on the puckline against the Boston Bruins in this game on Tuesday. The Red Wings haven't looked good in their games lately losing 6 games in a row now but I think they are due for a bounce back here and I think they are catching the Bruins at a good time. The Bruins have won 3 games in a row now and they have been blowing out their opposing teams in these games and scoring a ton of goals in the process. They didn't look good in their most recent game though, winning that game in OT over the Blue Jackets who have had their fair share of struggles lately. The Bruins were fine against the Jackets in their home game right before but they really struggled in that road game and that has been a common them for them lately in their road games. Their 2 most recent road games were both wins but both came after regulation. Most of their road games lately have actually been either losses or close wins that come after regulation and they have only won 1 road game by 2+ goals in their previous 6. This is a B2B for them too and I think they will be a bit tired which gives the rested Red Wings a better chance here to keep this game close. The Bruins already looked shaky in their most recent game and they have had a problem with playing in road games lately. I think this is the perfect spot for the Red Wings to at least put up a good fight and keep this a 1 goal game on home ice here. I like the Red Wings +1.5 here.

I like the Tampa Bay Lightning puckline against the Seattle Kraken in this game on Wednesday. The Lightning have not looked good in their games lately losing 3 games in a row but they just won their most recent game 2-1 over the Canucks and I think they can get back on a run here now that they have broken out of their funk. The Lightning are still 3rd place in the East and continue to be 1 of the best teams in the league. Their team is filled with skilled players and I think it is only a matter of time until they start winning games in bunches again. The Kraken have been terrible all year too and this is the perfect team for the Lightning to feed on and build up some more momentum as they try to put together a run again. The Kraken have been the worst team in the West all year and they are still holding up their last place spot. They just won their most recent game over the Canadiens but they had to go to a shootout just to win the game and they even had a 3-1 lead going into the 3rd period where they gave up 2 goals and let the Canadiens, who are the worst team in the league and the only team that hasn't reached 40 points yet, back in the game. The Kraken had actually lost 4 games in a row right before that win and they had only won 1/12 games before their win in Montreal. I think the Lightning are going to get back on track here with a win and I expect them to blow the Kraken out too. I like the Lightning on the puckline to win this game by 2+ goals.

T.M. Selection: New York Rangers -1.5. 

I like the New York Rangers puckline against the Anaheim Ducks in this game on Tuesday. The Rangers haven't looked their best lately with B2B losses by 3+ goals but they just bounced back in their most recent game with a road win over the Stars 7-4 and that is huge for them since the Stars are good at home and they should have a bit of momentum for this game now. The Rangers have been having a great year and have been 1 of the best teams in the league all year. They just went through their own 2 game mini slump but good teams like this don't go into long slumps in the NHL so now that they have another win under their belt, I expect them to start going on another run again and start racking up some more points. They are getting some low hanging fruit here since the Ducks have been terrible lately and I think the Rangers can just blow by them here. The Ducks have lost 4 games in a row now, their 2 most recent games were a lot closer but their 2 losses before that were both bad, losing by 3+ goals in both games and they gave up 12 goals between those 2 games. They have only given up 6 goals between their 2 most recent games but that is still not good against a team like the Rangers who can score a lot of goals in their games and will make the Ducks pay for any dumb mistakes they make on defense. This is a common theme for them since the Ducks have been giving up a lot of goals this year and that is due in part to not having a good goaltender. I think the Rangers are going to clean up on their home ice here and I expect them to win this game by 2+ goals. I like the Rangers on the puckline here.

I like the Vancouver Canucks puckline in this game against the Montreal Canadiens on Wednesday. The Canucks have looked really good in their games lately. They have won 2 games in a row now and they have 5/6 wins in their previous 6 games. They even won 4 of those games by 2+ goals and their defense has looked great in most of those games too. They have slipped up on defense in their 3 most recent games but they just returned from a road trip and I think they will give a much better effort on defense in this game now that they are back on home ice. The Canadiens have also looked good in their games lately winning 2 in a row but they have been very up and down still and I think the Canucks are the better team here. This is the last game of a road trip for the Canadiens and they might be looking toward the finish line here just waiting to get back home. I don't think the Canadiens will come out with a lot of energy here and I'm expecting a much better effort on both offense and defense from the Canucks in this game. They will look to tighten up their defense from those previous 3 games and I think they can keep the Canadiens out of the net in this game. The Canucks also have a very good goaltender and I think he will play a big role in their win here. The Canadiens have looked a lot better lately but they are still 1 of the worst teams in the league and they have some major issues at goalie. I think the Canucks can blow them out here. I like the Canucks on the puckline to win this game by 2+ goals.

They have won 2 games in a row now and they have scored 10 goals in those 2 games. They just completed a road trip where they won 5/6 games including a 7-0 win in LA where they absolutely destroyed the Kings. Now the Bruins are on home ice for this game and they are rolling very hot at the moment. I think they can carry over their momentum into this game and keep their run going with another win here over the Kings by 2+ goals. The Kings have looked better in their games lately with 2 wins in a row but they also lost 2 in a row right before those wins and they have been up and down as of late. They are on their own road trip at the moment and they have won 2/3 of their games so far with this game being the last on the trip. They just shut out the Sabres in their most recent game but that is not really an impressive win for them and they are on a B2B here too. I think they are going to be a bit tired from their B2B and I also think with this being the last game of their road trip they might be looking towards home and not give their best effort in this game just trying to finish out the road trip. The Bruins already destroyed the Kings a few days ago and I think they will do it again on home ice here since they are very hot at the moment. I like the Bruins puckline to win this game by 2+ goals.
