St. Louis is 47-19 at home. Michael Wacha has allowed only 0, 1, 1, 2, 0 and 0 runs in his last six starts. The team is 19-6 when he pitches and his ERA is 0.95 in his last 3. Hopefully, the Cardinals continue to find ways to win at home in front of their fans.

Nice value on the Blue Jays who have won 11 in a row (going for #12 on Friday and played after this is written.) Price pitches for the home team and they are a large favorite on Friday but there is nice value on Saturday as they are just -125 or better.
Estrada beat Tanaka last week 2-0. NYY does have some solid veterans but the Blue Jays are hot and led by Donladson and Bautista. Estrada is 3-0 with an ERA of 1.45 his last 3 while Tanaka is 1-2 with an ERA of 4.50.

Stephen Strasburg has great stuff but the team is just 3-5 in his starts and his ERA is 5.98 this year and up to 9.53 in his last 3 starts. 10* St Louis -103 I think the Cardinals bounce back after a 2-0 loss at Cleveland on Wednesday night. This game takes place on Thursday afternoon and the Cardinals start Michael Wacha and the team is 6-0 in his starts. He is 3-0 with an ERA of 1.86 on the road. Cleveland's pitcher is Bauer and he has a home ERA of 6.75. St. Louis lost 2-0 last night and only had one hit. Matt Holliday was hit by a pitch and came out of the game. John Jay is also questionable. They do have a solid lineup with Matt Carpenter hitting .325 and slugging .598. Paralta, Wong, Adams, Heyward and Molina are key players as well. St. Louis lost their series at Pittsburgh last week and are 1-1 in games at Cleveland. I expect them to win on Thursday. 10* Saint Louis -103

They are built for their ballpark and led by coach Ned Yost and Lorenzo Cain, Salvadore Perez, Eric Hosner, etc. The can go from first to third and steal bases with their overall team speed which is duly noted. San Francisco will be tough to beat as they are well coached by Bruce Bochy and led by Buster Posey and Pablo Sandoval and Hunter Pence. I think the Giants need to score first and change the momentum of the series. The All-Star victory by the AL sure seems important now. The pitcher matchup seems about even with Hudson facing Guthrie. Friday MLB
NY Mets at San Francisco 10:15 eastern 10* NYM +133
The Mets start Niese and they are 7-4 in his starts. His ERA is a solid 2.69 and he has allowed just 2, 2, 3, 3, 3, 0 and 1 in his last few starts. Matt Cain has been on the DL with an injury and surely won't pitch more than 5 or 6 innings. The team is just 3-5 in his starts and his ERA is 3.66. The Giants played in Cincinnati on Thursday and now must travel back to California for this game. The Giants are one of the top three teams in baseball but there is value on the Mets (15-14 on the road) at +133 on Friday.

We won yesterday with Houston +100 as the Astros won 2-1 after falling down 1-0 and without a hit for several innings. Carter and George Springer have been hot and Keuchel has been a solid starter for the home team. It may be different for Houston playing as a favorite but let's continue with the hot team, the Houston Astros at -120.
The Orioles are right at .500 and led by Chris Davis, Markakis and Manny Machado but struggling in this series in Texas.

Take the home team as Houston has a nice winning streak going and they have been getting solid pitching as well as keen, timely hitting but players like Dexter Fowler and Chris Carter (2 homers on Wednesday).
Houston played well in Seattle and swept the Royals and now face Ubaldo Jiminez and the Orioles who are led by Nik Markakis and Chris Davis. The Orioles pitcher has cooled off and allowed 5 runs in his last two starts.

The Houston Astros won last night and jumped ahead 6-0 and coasted to a nice victory at Kansas City. They have hit and pitched well and I like the fact that there is no pressure on them as they look to finish under .500. Kansas City is sitting close to .500 and they do have some decent hitters like Alex Gordon but let's go with the hot team on a roll as a nice underdog.

I think we see Austin Freeman and Miguel Cabrera do some damage vs. Jon Lester.
Look for a low scoring game that is won by Detroit 4-3.

Felix Hernandez starts for the M's at home and Seattle is just 7-8 at home. King Felix's last 5 starts have resulted in 4 no decisions and a loss. He allowed 11 hits in his last start at Oakland. He has allowed just 3, 2, 3 and 2 runs in his last 4 starts, which is solid but beatable.
Tampa Bay starts Ramos and his ERA is 1.76 in his last 3 starts and he has allowed just 18 hits in 27 innings and allowed 2, 0, 1, 0 and 1 run in his last 5 stints on the mound.
Tampa Bay has some solid hitters like Zobrist, Myers, Loney and Evan Longoria to cause damage. Plenty of value on the road team at +148

San Francisco at LA 5* SF +151
Taking the underdog as Tim Hudson has allowed just 1, 2, 1 and 2 runs in his last four starts. Clayton Kershaw missed the first few weeks of the season to an injury but has great stuff. He did lose 4-2 at home to the Giants last year in September. Maybe the Giants can score off the bullpen. SF led 2-0 Saturday and lost so I am looking for them to bounce back. SF has seen Kershaw before and are 13-9 on the road while LA is just 7-11 at home.

Simon starts for the Reds and he has been good as well but I see some value on the Rockies at +105. Colorado wins 4-3.

Boston +134 is a nice value as Texas is close to .500 at home and overall. Yu Darvish is 5-1 but his ERA is 5.74 in his last three starts. Boston is led by Dustin Pedroia but does seem to miss the spark of Jacaby Ellsbury. Clay Buchholz is a decent starter who has pitched better in his last few starts.

The Orioles won last night 5-3. Chris Davis and Matt Wieters look to be out but Markakis, Machado, Hardy, Jones, Flaherty and Pearce have been solid lately. Bud Norris has won his last two games and he starts for Baltimore. Ramos pitches for Tampa Bay and he has a low ERA but only has pitched a few innings per game. The Rays are dangerous with Myers and Evan Longoria having big sticks.

Take the Brewers as they are 9-1 on the road and off a 4-0 shutout loss at home to the Cubs. Yogeni Gallardo has an ERA of 1.46 and is 3-2. Ryan Braun sat out yesterday and there is a 50% chance he will play but the Brew Crew has Chris Gomez for power and speed and other solid players like Richie Weeks. The Cardinals start Michael Wacha and he is good and the reason why the home team is a nice favorite but there is plenty of value on the Brewers at this number which is +146.

Plenty of value on the Padres as they won last night 4-3. Stephen Strasburg has great stuff but his ERA is 5.33 and WHIP (walks/hits per inning) is at 1.44 while Erlins is at 0.98. Erlin has allowed 4, 3, 1, 0, 2, 0, 2, 2, and 1 run in his last nine starts. Hopefully, we see San Diego score a few runs in a close game and come out ahead on Friday night.
