LA Dogers at Toronto 8:00 ET

Dodgers over Blue Jays -  Once again the visitor was the winner in Game 6 making it the fourth time in this series. Toronto will send Max Scherzer (1-0, 4.00 ERA) will be making hos second Game 7 and he received a no decision in five innings surrendering two runs. Dodgers manager Dave Roberts use go will ‘All staff’ meaning everyone is available including Ohtani and Glasnow who finished up Friday’s winner. Trailing 3-2 in games the Dodgers come all the way back to win it all. Take the LA DODGERS!

LA Dogers at Toronto 8:00 ET

Dodgers over Blue Jays -  This hasn’t been much of a home series and Los Angeles hopes that it stays that way as they are up against elimination tonight. Toronto got to the Dodgers pitching, after going 18 innings and not being able to deliver the big hit when needed they burst out and put the games out of reach very quickly. LA is handing the ball to their ‘man’ Yoshinobu Yamamoto (3-1, 1.57 ERA) who shut down the Blue Jays in Game 2 in Toronto and he’s capable of doing it again. For the home clue with the 3-2 lead in games it will be Kevin Gausman (2-2, 2.55) and he was on the short end of the Game 2 result. I expect more of the same here. Looking forward to a Game 7. Blue Jays over Dodgers - The Blue Jays jumped off to a great start to the World Series which is so needed when playing the Dodgers. Los Angeles swept Milwaukee the No. 1 seed in four games which had everyone believing that they were unbeatable. Toronto will start Kevin Gausman (2-1, 2.00 ERA) and he hasn’t had a whole lot of success against the Dodgers who will start Yoshinobu Yamamoto (2-1, 1.83) who was un-hittable against the Brewers. The Jays have the confidence to win here and take advantage of their home surroundings. Take TORONTO!

Seattle at Toronto 8:00 ET

Mariners over Blue Jays - According to the rules of handicapping (I just made that up)  Seattle is supposed to rebound for Game 7 and win in Toronto. So, you may be wondering why this is. Well, it would be the more improbable scenario. George Kirby (0-1, 7.07 ERA) is looking to atone for his performance last time out when he surrendered eight runs and eight hits in four innings in the 13-4 loss in Game three. Blue Jays starter Shane Bieber (1-0, 4.25) feels lucky to be here. Play SEATTLE!

Seattle at Toronto 8:00 ET

Mariners over Blue Jays - Twenty-eight year old Logan Gilbert (6-6, 3.43 ERA) will be making the biggest start of his career as a win here will send the Mariners to their first World Series.Gilbert has been exceptional striking out 168 in just 126 innings. He started the season in the IL but has finished strong only allowing more than two run in just one of his last 10 outing. In six of those appearances he surrendered one or no runs in seven starts of his last 10. Trey Yesavage (0-0, 5.00) the Toronto 22-yaer old be will be making just the sixth start of his and against the Mariners in Game two and he was knocked around for five runs in four innings. Toronto at Seattle 8:30 ET

Mariners over Blue Jays - Max Scherzer (5-5, 5.10 ERA) has made just 34 starts since being traded from the Mets to Texas in mid 2023. Seattle will send out Luis Castillo (11-8, 3.54) split a pair of starts against the Blue Jays but surrendered eight runs in 10 innings. Toronto finally exploded for 13 runs on 18 hits with five homeruns and with Valdimir Guerrero, Jr. going 4-for-4. Today, the Mariners bats come alive against the aging veteran. The Mariners tack their way to a win. Take SEATTLE!

Toronto at Seattle 8:05 ET

Mariners over Blue Jays - For every plus you’ll always find a negative hanging around close. Toronto who lead the AL in home wins going 54-27 winning exactly 67 percent of the time are down 0-2 in this series and were 40-41 on the road. The Mariners weren’t any better on tr  road going just 39-42 but at home like the Blue Jays they prevailed winning 51-of the 81 home games. The unlikely starter for Toronto is 2020 Cy Young winner Shane Bieber (6-2, 2.87 ERA) who had Tommy John surgery last season and had two starts for Cleveland before being sent to the Blue Jays at the trade deadline. George Kirby (10-8, 4.21) gets the nod for the Mariners and this is his third start this postseason allowing one run with 14 strikeouts in 10 innings. Take SEATTLE!

LA Dodgers and Milwaukee 8:05 ET

Brewers over Dodgers - Milwaukee had peeled off eight straight wins over the Dodgers before yesterday’s 3-2 win in the series opener. In Game 2 the Brewers will start right-hander Freddy Peralta (17-6, 2.70 ERA) who has had his career best in wins with 17 six more than his previous high and it was no fluke. Checking his numbers he should be given some Cy Young consideration. (I know Paul Skenes has the inside track but he may not have posted enough wins. But get this in 176 innings he has surrendered just 124 hits with 204 strikeouts. I don’t have to look any for anything else. I can not pass on those numbers. Take MILWAUKEE!

Mariners over Blue Jays - Before Game One the Blue Jays had good news and bad news. The good is that they beat the New York Yankees and the bad news is that they beat the Yankees. You see, for Toronto who has been to the World series in over 30 years defeating the Yankees was euphoric for the Jays who have been playing second fiddle to New York for way to long. So, their edge is not at full capacity. Logan Gilbert (6-6, 3.43 ERA) started the year on the IL but came on and has been as difficult to hit as ever. Gilbert has allowed 100 hits in 126 innings with and get this168 strikeouts. Mariners not to make the same mistake as the tigers by removing you ace when he is in command. Take SEATTLE!

Mariners over Blue Jays - These two clubs have met six time this season with the home team winning the first one with the visitor taking the last five including a 3-game sweep by Toronto at Seattle in early May. So, therefore I should be on the Mariners here and I am but more so because the price is so high and with teams playing at this level it is better the take back. Play SEATTLE!

Chicago Cubs at Milwaukee 8:08 ET

Cubs over Brewers - Home Sweet Home…four games four home team wins! Milwaukee scored 16 runs in their two home wins but managed only three runs in the two games in Chicago while the Cubs have scored 11 first inning runs in this series. Cubs manager said that he will use every available arm as neither club has established who their starter will be. With a pair of wins under their belts the ‘baby bears’ have the momentum. Take CHICAGO CUBS!

Detroit at Seattle 8:05 ET

Tigers over Mariners- I know that Seattle is formidable at home (51-30) and will have one of their best starting in George Kirby (10-7, 4.24 ERA) but as strong an opposition as they may be, I see Tarik Skubal (13-8, 2.21) and can be assured of at least seven strong innings. In eight of his last nine starts he has surrendered zero or one run seven times and two runs one time. I sorta feel that this is the game we are supposed to play him. This is why he is here! What scares me is the playoff history of some of the most dominate pitches that just did not win in the postseason be it a bad outing or poor support. The Tigers faded late closing the year, but they may have enough with their ace on the hill to get it done. Take DETROIT!

Milwaukee at Chicago Cubs 9:05 ET

Cubs over Brewers - One thing that I have learned about sports is that when you believe that a team is dead or late in a game from what you have seen you just assume this games over finished done let me get to the window. and then it starts to happen and the impossible has happened. Well, the Cubs were dead and buried in most peoples eyes and when Milwaukee scored in the top of the first inning all thoughts ran to this will be another romp. Pitching is always a concern but when that ‘mojo’ has moved to the other side it is difficult to turn it back. Take CHICAGO CUBS!

Milwaukee at Chicago Cubs 5:05 ET

Cubs over Brewers - Milwaukee will be starting Chicago native Quinn Priester (13-3, 3.32 ERA) in Game 3 in the NLDS with a 2-0 lead. The Brewers during the regular season won19 straight games when Priester was starting from May 30 to September 26 his last start of the year. The Brew Crew had lost six of his first seven starts before the streak began. Chicago will send out Jameson Taillon (11-7, 3.68) and although his overall record against the Brewers is not good (6-10, 3-33  ERA) but, this season he’s 2-1 with an ERA of 4.50 in four starts against them. Win or done…take CHICAGO CUBS!

Seattle at Detroit 3:05 ET

Tigers over Mariners - Before we starting talk about Detroit great demise they still have a chance like the man with a ‘chip and a chair’ in a poker game. With their backs up against the wall the Tigers are turning to the No. 1 draft pick Casey Mize (14-6, 3.87 ERA) who was left off the post season roster last year. Seattle Bryce Miller (4-6 5.68) like Mize is making his first post season start. But Miller has dominated the Tigers pitching 19 scoreless innings while Mize is 1-1 with a 6.23 ERA against the Mariners. But, the odds makers like the Tigers and so do I. Take DETROIT!

Seattle at Detroit 4:10 ET

Mariners over Lions - Seattle’s Logan Gilbert (6-6, 3.43 ERA) missed a good portion of the early season and has come along slowly but is 3-1 with a 2.87 ERA in his last seven starts. Still difficult to hit he has allowed just 100 hits in 125 innings with 168 strikeouts and those are both impressive numbers. On the not so impressive side Jack Flaherty (8-15, 4.64 has a record of 8-15 with ERA of 4.64, but upon future review I see that he has 188 strike outs in 161 innings and 147 hits with 23 home runs being his Achilles Heel. He is also 2-5 in three post seasons nine starts…Mariners have won 5 of-6 meetings and this is a rematch of a July 13 game in Detroit where Gilbert got the best of Flaherty 6-4. Take SEATTLE!

LA Dodgers at Philadelphia 6:05 ET

Dodgers over Phillies - A pair of lefties will go at it in Game 2 of the five game NLDS it Philadelphia. The LA Dodgers will send Blake Snell (5-4, 2.35 ERA) to the mound and he will be opposed by the Phillies Jesus Luzardo (15-7, 3.92). Snell has had much better showing in the post season going 5-3 with an ERA of 3.23 while Luzardo is 0-2 with a 6.14 ERA. But Snell is 1-3 with a 3.41 ERA against the Dodgers and Lazardo is 1-1 with a 3.12 ERA. Take THE LA DODGERS!

LA Dodgers at Philadelphia 6:30 ET

Phillies over Dodgers - I the rarest of rare days, I will be posting a second best bet on Philadelphia here. Los Angeles is starting Shohei Ohtani ( 1-1, 2.87 ERA) and although he can be brilliant and overpowering to batters there are times he can be a bit wild. No,w get this he has not surrendered a run in his last four starts 14.2 innings and only one run in 20 innings. Cristopher Sanchez (13-5, 2.50) gets the nod for the Phillies and I expect him to go deeper into the game than Ohtani. One of my more favored betting pitchers hasn’t given up a run in his last 12.2 innings covering his past two starts. The ‘Whiz Kids’ have won 4-of-6 meetings against LA this season and are 10-3 in the last 13 meetings. Take PHILADELPHIA!

New York Yankees at Toronto 1:00 ET

Blue Jays over Yankees - This is a tough call for me and not so much that I would be rooting for the Yankees it I because I really do like New York’s starter Luis Gil (4-1, 3.32 ERA) who has been out most of the year and has just eight starts covering 43.1 innings with 33  hits. He has been good to me and for the Yankees. But, there is always a but, it isn’t that I am enamored with Toronto starter Kevin Gausman (10-11, 3.59) either. The Blue Jays have been waiting for they didn’t know who for a few days and they are facing Gil who beat them 3-1 on September 6. So after all that why the nasty Jays…(Blue Jays are nasty you know!) well I don’t see Gil going deep into the game and then I can trust that Boone will pull some kind of boner. Oh, yeah all you need is for the game to be on the line. Take TORONTO!

San Diego at Chicago Cubs 3:10 ET

Padres over Cubs over - Okay, I have fallen for the San Diego lore, the sun, the beaches huh why, what, huh. The Padres have been the ‘public’ dark horse to unseat the Dodgers season after season and have never been good enough to get it done. They got the pitching effort that they needed and unveiled the key to winning the game tonight  Four years ago, in Las Vegas, I witnessed Mason Miler throw six perfect innings with 12 strikeouts and was wondering at that time why he wasn’t with the ‘big boys’ who were terrible. Yesterday against the Cubs he faced five batters who all struck out as he threw 1 pitches at ab average 103.5and one at 104.7. No one was even able to make contact except a couple of four tips. When it get use him…game over… Take SAN DIEGO!

San Diego at Chicago Cubs 3:10 ET

Cubs over Padres - If things go according to Hoyle San Diego should disappoint their supporters, not much different from last year. Oh, you remember, they killed

the Dodgers in the opener giving people hope for the series and then went virtually scoreless the rest of the way. The Padres went for Dylan Cease (8-12, 4.55 ERA) and after having a rocky season this is what they hired him for, to deliver in the playoffs. Chicago will send out Shota Imanaga (9-8, 3.73) and he is 1-0 with an ERA of 1.40 against the Padres in three career starts. Take CHICAGO CUBS!

Boston at New York Yankees 6:00 ET

Red Sox over Yankees - Boston had over come the Yankees and actually took the lead before Aaron Judge and New York turned it around and finished 5-games better. This pitching match-up could end up a classic dual (Nah, they will both probably be removed even if affective because that’s what they do now. But if one of these guys were to be extended it would be Garrett Crochet (18-5, 2.59 ERA) who has won his last four starts. New York will send out Max Fried (19-5, 2.86) and he closed the season 6-0 in his last seven starts with an ERA of 1.55. Play BOSTON!

San Diego at Chicago Cubs 4:10 ET

Cubs over Padres - For a guy that loves to play on a team during winning streaks this one is tough to swallow. San Diego has won eight straight entering this series and their line-up is producing runs like many projected to happen year after year. Chicago closed the season sweeping arch rival St. Louis in a three game set and that came on the heels of a rough patch losing five in-a-row. The Padres will start Nick Pivetta (13-5, 2.87 ERA) and he has had his best season with the most wins and he is 2-2 with a 3.96 ERA lifetime against the Cubs. Chicago will start Michael Boyd (14-8, 3.21) who also is having a career year and is 1-1 with an EEA of 1.59 all of which took place this season. The ‘Baby Bears’ are 50-31 at home and the Padres are 5-games under .500 on the road. Take CHICAGO CUBS!

LA Dodgers at Seattle 9:40 ET

Mariners over Dodgers - I know that both of these clubs are locked-in when it comes to the playoffs but what I didn’t realize was how the Dodgers have dominated this series winning at last count the last 10 meetings. Logan Gilbert (6-6, 3.43 ERA) is making the start for Seattle and he has been more effective at home where is ERA is 2.42 and overall he has surrendered just 100 hits in 126 innings with 168 strike outs. Those number are impressive and his mound opponent will be Tyler Glasnow (4-3, 3.30) who has thrown just 87 innings this season due to injury. Take SEATTLE!

New York Mets at Chicago Cubs 7:10 ET

Mets over Cubs - To start with the Cubs are in…the Mets are not, as of yet. A win here would go a lone way with just three games to go and a one -game lead over Cincinnati and two games ahead of Arizona. Really not sure who is throwing foe the Mets and it doesn’t matter because this will be a team win. Miami’s Sandy Alcantara (10-12, 5.48 ERA) hasn’t been the same pitcher since receiving the Cy Young going 17-24 since with and ERA of 5.01. New York needs to sweep their three remaining games to guarantee a playoff spot. Take NEW YORK METS!

Detroit at Boston 7:10 ET

Red Sox over Tigers - Detroit may have stopped the bleeding temporally win their 4-2 win over Cleveland yesterday but the fact remain that they have blown a 14.5 game lead and are reeling. Boston is still live in the post-season hunt and currently and with the Tigers right now are both playoff clubs. The Tigers snapped an eight game losing streak but still have not been able to score runs plating only six runs in their past five losses. The Red Sox are looking forward to playing every day while the Tigers step on the field with dread. Take BOSTON!

New York Mets at Chicago Cubs 7:40 ET

Mets over Cubs - Chicago has already clinch a playoff spot and it looks like they realized that in the late innings Tuesday as the blew five run lead but managed a 10-3 win yesterday. New York has a one-game lead over both Cincinnati and Arizona and will send Nolan McLean (4-1, 1.27 ERA) to the mound while the Cubs will start Shota Imanaga (9-7, 3.37) who has surrendered 10 homers in his last five starts. Take MEW YORK METS!

Boston at Toronto  7:05 ET

Blue Jays over Red Sox - Toronto has now dropped five of their last six games and the Yankees are tied with the Blue Jays for the top spot in the AL East but they still hold the tie-breaker. The Blue Jays who lead the majors in batting have scored only ix runs in their five losses. But they will not be facing Garrett Crochet tonight and no matter who throws for Boston it will seem like batting practice after facing Crochet. Take TORONTO!

St. Louis at San Francisco 9:45 ET

Giants over Cardinals - My goodness, what has happened to Robbie Ray (11-8, 3.65 ERA) he has surrendered 34 runs in his last 40 innings covering eight starts. Ray started the season 7-0 in his first 11 starts but has struggled since. St. Louis is sending out veteran Sonny Gray (14-8, 4.33)  who has match his career high in wins set in 2014 and 2015. He has also given up a career high in Home Runs allowing 24 this season surpassing last year’s previous career high of 21 dingers. Take SAN FRANCISCO!

Kansas City at LA Angels - Kansas City was eliminated from playoff contention yesterday and at 79-78 they have had a disappointing season as expectations were high with their core talent with Bobby Witt Jr. The Royals will start Stephen Kolek (5-6, 3.54 ERA) and this is his first appearance against Los Angeles. The Angels will start Yusel Kikuchi (6-11, 4.05) as they are seeking just their second win in 12 games. They get it here. Take the ANGELS!

Boston at Toronto 7:05 ET

Red Sox over Blue Jays - It is strange the way things work themselves out in a 162 game baseball schedule. For example, the New York Yankees are pulling hard for their hated arch-rival the Boston Red Sox. First place Toronto, who is 50-26 at home have lost five of their last six games and will be facing Boston’s best hurler tonight as Garrett Crochet (17-5, 2.69 ERA) gets the start against Jays aging veteran Max Scherzer (5-4, 5.06). He has seen better days, having surrendered 18 home runs in just 80 innings. The Blue Jays can see the finish line, but it appears to be moving away from them Take BOSTON!

Milwaukee at San Diego 9:40 ET

Padres over Brewers - San Diego did some celebrating last night as they clinched a wild card spot with just five games left in the season. Milwaukee has long been in the playoffs with most likely the top seed. The Padres will start Randy Vasquez (5-7, 3.94 ERA) who is 1-0 lifetime no allowing a run in 9.2 innings against the Brewers. Milwaukee will start Bruce Zimmerman who last pitched in MLB tow years ago. Take SAN DIEGO!

Tampa Bay at Baltimore 6:40 ET

Rays over Orioles - Tampa Bay has finished playing their home games for the 2025 season in a minor league ballpark and they need to win fie of their remaining six games to end the year. Baltimore is 10 games under .500 and has dropped 3-of-4 and will start Dean Kremer (10-10, 4.39 ERA) who has just two wins in his last 10 starts. The Rays will start Ryan Pepiot (11-11, 3.77) and he is looking to rebound from his shortest outing of the year lasting just 1.2 innings by Toronto. Kremer is 2-0 against the Rays this year but falls short of getting the ‘Hat-trick’. Take TAMPA BAY!

New York Mets at Chicago Cubs 7:40 ET

Mets over Cubs - If the New York Mets do not make the playoffs as a wild card we may have witnessed to biggest collapse in modern MLB history. In June New York had the best record in all of baseball and are now tied with Cincinnati for the final spot but the Reds have the tie breaker with six games remaining. The Mets will send David Peterson (9-6, 3.98 ERA) to the hill and he is 1-2 with an ERA of 4.91 ERA in five appearances. Chicago will start Cade Horton (11-4, 2.66) who is 8-1 with an ERA of 0.93 in his last 11 starts. Still, the Mets are in greater need. Take NEW YORK METS!

Milwaukee at San Diego 9:40 ET

Padres over Brewers - Milwaukee has a 3-game lead over Philadelphia, striving for the best record and a bye in the NL. San Diego is behind the Cubs by 3-games but are ahead of the Mets and Reds by five  games. For the Brewers, Freddy Peralta (17-6, 2.56 ERA) has at 29 come into his own, gets the start. The Padres, Nick Pivetta (13-5, 2.81) is also having his best season by far with his previous high in wins never reaching double digits and he is in his tenth career year. Padres are 47-28 at home…take SAN DIEGO!

Seattle at Houston 7:10 ET

Mariners over Astros - Seattle has turned it on at the right time winning 13 of their last 14 moving two-games ahead of Houston and lead the season series. The Mariners will start Logan Gilbert (5-6, 3.53 ERA) and he has rounded into form with a win in his last three starts with a 2.20 ERA and 20 strikeouts in 16.1 innings. He is 5-4 lifetime against the Astros. Jason Alexander (4-1, 4.04) starts for the home club who are tied with Cleveland for the final Al wild card spot. Take SEATTLE!

Seattle at Houston 7:10 ET

Mariners over Astros - Seattle’s 4-0 victory over Houston last was their third in the past four meetings and gives them a one-game lead in the AL West. The Astros lead Cleveland by 1.5-games in the wild card chase with a little more than a week left to play. The big games are being played every day and George Kirby (9-7, 4.46 ERA) has stepped up striking out 14 Angels in 6.1 innings last time out. Framber Valdez (12-10, 3.59) has won once in his last nine starts going 1-6 surrendering 36 runs in 52 innings. Take SEATTLE!

Philadelphia at Arizona 9:40 ET

Diamondbacks over Phillies - This is sad for me to play against a pitcher that could have had an incredible career, but that has gone by the wayside. Not due to anything other than injuries and I mean the better days for Walker Buehler (7-7, 5.45 ERA) are long gone. He is expected to pitch a multiple innings and that means Diamondback runs. Ryan Nelson (7-3, 3.34) gets the nod for the Snakes and he has allowed just 112 Hits in 143 innings and at home he is 5-1 with a 2.51 ERA. Take ARIZONA!

Milwaukee at St. Louis 8:15 ET

Cardinals over Brewers - The first three outings for Jacob Misiorowshi (5-2, 4.35 ERS) were electric as he went 16 innings surrendering only three hits while striking out 19 and followed that 12 K’s in six innings against the Dodgers. But things have cooled down a bit as he has one win in his last eight starts and of course some of that is because of arm issues. St. Louis is sending out 35-year old Sonny Gray (13-8, 4.43) and he has held himself accountable for the Red Birds this season and adds another feather to his cap. Take ST. LOUIS!

Cleveland at Minnesota 8:10 ET

Twins over Tribesman - Parker Messick (3-0, 1.84 ERA) the Cleveland started has been able to escape a high hit ration because of his great control. He was given up  just four base-on-balls in 29.3 innings compared to 22 strikeouts. When he pitches the ball it usually ends up in play. Pablo Lopez (5-4, 2.64) makes just his 14th start of the season but has been very effective having gone at least five inning in every start. Take MINNESOTA!

Seattle at Kansas City 7:40 ET

Royals over Mariners - It is said that the cream always rises to the top and Seattle having now won 10 straight games has become the cream. Kansas City on the other hand was expected to be a contender this season but they just haven’t been able to put together enough offense. Seattle’s Bryce Miller (4-5,5.59 ERA) has had a difficult year and he does not do well against the Royals. In his two starts against KC Miller has last nine innings surrendering 10 runs on 12 hits. The Royals will start Cole Ragans (2-3,5.18) who was put on the IL June 5 but he has a 1.29 ERA against the Mariners. Take KANSAS CITY!

San Diego at New York Mets 7:10 ET

Mets over Padres - New York has pair of wins after dropping eight straight games and maintain a 1.5-game wild card lead over Arizona. Tonight, they send David Peterson (9-5, 3.77 ERA) to the hill and he kept a winning record alive while his teammates who had the best record in baseball on June 11 but have been 33-49 since. San Diego will trot out Nick Pivetta (13-5, 2.73) who is by far having his career year. Peterson is 1-2 with a 3.26 ERA against the Padres while Pivetta is 4-2 but with a 5.23 ERA in 10 games against the Mets. Take NEW YORK METS!

San Diego at New York Mets 7:10 ET

Mets over Padres - Tonight in New York a pair of former relievers hook-up in a contest that has great importance for both clubs. The Mets just ended an eight game losing streak with a dramatic 3-run home run by Alonzo in the bottom of the ninth for the win. Clay Holmes (11-8, 3.75 ERA) will start for the ‘Mutts’ while Michael King (4-2, 2.87) gets the ball for San Diego. More often then not when a team ends a losing streak they start a new winning streak once they break the spell. Take NEW YORK!

Philadelphia at LA Dodgers 10:10 ET

Dodgers over Phillies - In a perfect world these two clubs will meet for the NL pennant but the way the playoffs are set up there is more of a chance that they will not meet. Philadelphia right now has the edge over Los Angeles as they have won 13 of their last 16 games. The Phillies will start Ranger Suarez (12-6, 2.77 ERA) and he is 3-2 with a 3.42 ERA in seven appearances. LA will send out Emmet Sheehan (6-3, 3.32) and he has a 1.45 ERA over his last three starts while the Dodgers have won six of their past seven. Take LOS ANGELES DODGERS!

New York Yankees at Boston 7:10 ET

Yankees over Red Sox  -This is one of those games where I will play a .team’ over an individual player. Well, I mean here is Boston’s Garrett Crochet (15-5, 2.57 ERA) who may be on his way to winning the Cy Young if not this season but baring injury he should be on the leader board. He is 2-0 with a 2.52 ERA against the Bronx bombers. New York leads the majors in home runs and by a wide margin and Judge is hot as opposed to Bostons Roman Anthony who is sidelined and the Sox are 3-6 in his absence. Take NEW YORK YANKEES!

Arizona at Minnesota 7:10 ET

Twins over Diamondbacks - It has been a disappointing year for Minnesota with a few seasonal highlights like Cody Clements three home runs last night and other performances here and there. Tonight they will start Joe Ryan (13-8, 3.32 ERA) who has been their best hurler all season is off of his worst performance of the summer when he gave up five runs in two innings against the Royals last Saturday. Arizona will pitch Ryne Nelson (7-3, 3.48) who has struggled against the Twins going 0-2 with a `6.20 ERA in just 6.2 innings. Take MINNESOTA!

New York Yankees at Boston 4:10 ET

Yankees over Red Sox - Aaron Judge is back and it appears so are the Yankees. New York hit a lull after the All-star break when Judge injured his shoulder and missed three weeks and then it took him about 10ndays to fine his groove which is where he is right now. Also hitting his stride is lefty Max Fried (16-5, 3.02 ERA) who have found his way back to performing like he did in April and May. Boston will send out Brayan Bello (11-6, 3.12) who has been excellent against the Yankees with a1.95 ERA, but it is not going to matter today. Take NEW YORK YANKEES!

Cincinnati at Athletics 10:00 ET

Reds over A’s - The A’s JT Ginn (3-6, 4.95 ERA) is coming off of his first win since July 27 covering seven starts, and after his last win he lost five in-a-row. Cincinnati who just can not sustain anything good will send out Brady Singer (13-9, 3.98) who has won his last four decisions and six of seven. Cincinnati trails the Mets by just a one and a half games for the final wild card spot. The A’s have won just four of their past 12 games and fall short once again. Take CINCINNATI!

New York Yankees at Boston 7:10 ET

Yankees over Red Sox - Baseball’s fiercest rivalry once again has the intensity of the playoffs as New York has a half-game lead in the loss column. This three game set could determine the faith of both of these clubs. Boston who won 3-of-4 last month at Yankee Stadium and will send Lucas Giolito (10-3, 3.38 ERA) to the bump and he is 3-2 with a 4.99 ERA in six career appearances. The Yankees pitching is mending and Luis Gil (3-1, 3.31) makes his eighth start of the season and he is 1-1 with an ERA of 1.27 in four career starts against the Red Sox. In his past five starts has allowed just six runs. Take the NEW YORK YANKEES!

Texas at New York Mets 7:10 ET

Mets over Rangers - Now, I ask you, is not David deGrom (11-7, 2.78 ERA) still one of the better pitchers in baseball. He has recovered from his injuries and has 170 K’s in just 155 innings. So, with such great numbers it seems a bit off that he would be an underdog against his weak hitting former teammates at Citi Field. New York will send Jonah Tong (1-1, 4.09) to the mound and it makes NO sense for him to be favored over a truly great hurler in DeGrom. Something stinks…take the NEW YORK METS!

Kansas City at Cleveland 6:40 ET

Royals over Indians - The Royals are one-game over .500 and still in the hunt as are the Cleveland ball club who is now 4-games over .500 after their 2-0 Megabucks win yesterday. Cleveland who will start Logan Allen (7-11, 4.46 ERA) trail the Red Sox by 2.5 games for the wild card spot and the Royals are 4-games behind. Kansas City will send reliever Johathan Bowlan (1-2, 3.57) and in limited action he has been difficult to hit and averages a strike out an inning. Take KANSAS CITY!

Pittsburgh at Baltimore 6:35 ET

Pirates over Orioles - Pittsburgh’s Paul Skenes (10-9, 1.98 ERA) is out to prove that he is the best pitcher in all of baseball, he has captured three straight wins surrendering just one earned run in his last 19 innings with 21 strikeouts and only 12 hits. In his past nine starts Skenes is 6-1 allowing two runs or less in eight of 10 starts with four of his outings being scoreless outings. Take PITTSBURGH

Boston at Athletics 10:00 ET

Red Sox over A’s - Boston is hanging on to their playoff hopes, after winning their last two after having dropped three in-a-row and they trail Toronto for the division and now trail the Yankees by two games in the loss column. The Red Sox will send out Dustin May (7-11, 4.96 ERA) who they acquired from the Dodgers and he is 1-4 with a 5.40 ERA since coming over to the AL. The A’s will send lefty Jeffrey Springs (10-10, 4.13) who is 0=-3 in his last six starts and is 0-2 against the Red Sox. Take BOSTON!

Minnesota at LA Angels 9:35 ET

Twins over Angels - I don’t think that anyone thought that the Angels would be ahead of Minnesota at this time of the year. But, it has been a poor season for the Twins and the Angels have surprised some by even being just 10-games under .500. Zebby Mathews (4-4, 4.73 ETA) get the nod for the Twins and LA will start veteran Kyle Hendricks (6-9, 4.81) who is `-4 with a 5.86 ERA against Minny. Take MINNESOTA!

Kansas City at Cleveland 6:40 ET

Tribesman over Royals - One simple loss separates these two clubs who are both chasing Seattle for the third and final playoff spot. Kansas City has played one more game and lost it will send Noah Cameron (7-6, 3.03 ERA) to the hill against Cleveland’s Joey Cantillo (4-3, 3.73). Both of these starter have limited against against their opponent. The former Tribesman have won four straight while the Royals have lost their last two and five of their past eight games. Take CLEVELAND!  

New York Mets at Philadelphia 6:35 ET

Mets over Phillies - New York has lost 3-of-4 while Philadelphia has won 3-of-4 with the Phillies still holding a strong lead in the division. But, for some reason the Mets have had the Phillies number this season winning eight of the past 10 meetings. Fifty years ago the Mets had a Nolan in their rotation but traded Ryan away for a washed up third baseman. Tonight Nolan McLean (4-0, 1.37 ERA) gets the start and he has been outstanding in his four starts allowing only 13 hits in 27 innings. Take NEW YORK METS!

Minnesota at Kansas City 7:15 ET

Twins over Royals - Go figure this, Minnesota is 27-43 straight up on the road (16-games under .500). The Royals are 39-34 at home and are an underdog as hosts to this below average road team. In head-to-head meetings they have split the last 10 meetings with six of the last seven games were in Minnesota with the Twins winning four of six. One of the wins was credited to Joe Ryan (13-7, 3.08 ERA) tonight’s starter as he shut down the Royals surrendering one run and no walks in five innings. Kansas City will start Stephen Kolek (4-5, 4.18 ERA) who became a starter after 42 relief appearances in 2024 with San Diego. Take MINNESOTA!

Seattle at Atlanta 7:15 ET

Braves over Mariners - Seattle right-hander Bryce Miller (4-5, 5.71 ERA) has had a disappointing season after a promising2024 when he posted an ERA of 2.94. He was surrendering just ix hits per nine innings and now he is giving up an hit an inning.

Atlanta will send out their hope of the future Hurston Waldrep (2-0, 1.54) as their play has picked up and is looking for their third straight win. They get it here. Take ATLANTA!

New York Mets at Cincinnati 6:40 ET

Mets over Reds  - After losing 3-of-4 to Miami the Mets have put together an impressive Labor day winning a pair in Detroit and the first in the Queen City against the Reds. New York is sending 22-year old rookie Jonah Tong (1-0, 1.80 ERA) out for his second career start and he struck out six and walked none surrendered one earned run in five innings against Miami posting New York’s only win in the series against the Marlins. Brady Singer (12-9, 4.08) has started 27 games after five years in Kansas City. New York has the ‘mojo’ working and are once again favored on the road. Take the M-E-T-S!

Boston at Arizona 9:40 ET

Red Sox over Diamondbacks - Boston has gone to their young and up and coming stars and it is working. First Roman Anthony took over for Raeleal Devers and has been a smash success and now they will start rookie left-hander Payton Tolle (0-0, 3.38 ERA) looking for more youthful success. Although the Sox will be without Anthony they have the mojo to get it done. Arizona will send out Eduardo Rodriguez (6-8, 5.40) who has struggled against Boston going 0-2 with an ERA of 8.31. Take BOSTON!

Seattle at Atlanta 7:15 ET

Braves over Mariners - Seattle could be a poster child for the NBA the way they play so differently between home and away games. When hitting last the Mariners are 41-27 and while when on the road they are just 32-40, not so hot for a contender. One of culprits on the mound start with Logan Gilbert (4-6, 3.73 ERA) as he has surrendered 23 runs in his last six starts lasting just 4.1 innings per start. Atlanta will start future HOF lefty Chris Sale (5-4, 2.52) who when healthy is one of the best. Take ATLANTA!

New York Meta at Cincinnati 6:40 ET

Mets over Reds - These two clubs are battling each other for the final Wild Card spot which makes this 3-game set in Cincinnati. The Reds will send out Andrew Abbott (8-5, 2.65 ERA) and he has never beaten the Mets going 0-1 with a 3.68 ERA in just three starts against New York. The Mets will start David Peterson (8-5, 3.61) who also is 0-1 against the Redlegs while Cincy has dropped 7-o-9 who is off of his worst outing of the season surrendering eight runs in two innings to the Marlins. Take NEW YORK METS!

LA Dodgers at PIttsburgh 6:40 ET

Dodgers over Pirates - Pittsburgh’s Paul Skenes (9-9, 2.05 ERA) has established a new MLB record with a career ERA of 2.01 after 51 starts in the modern live ball era.

He is 2-1 with a 3.63 ERA in three starts against the Dodgers including 6.1 shutout innings striking out nine with no walks and allowing just five hits back in April. LA will send out Blake Snell (3-3, 2.41) who is 1-2 with an ERA of 6.86 against the Pirates but has a better team support. Take LA DODGERS!  

New York Yankees at Houston 8:10 ET

Yankees over Astros - After getting their brains beat in by Boston, Toronto and the Brewers people were saying that the Yankees ‘can’t beat the good teams and only bully the have-nots. Well, New York may have proved the critics correct by winning 8-of-9 against the White Sox and Nationals. Yet, they are favored at Houston the garbage pale banging Astros are 42-31. The Bronx Bombers will send out Will Warren (8-6, 4.30 ERA) has 149 K’s in 136 innings and is off a five inning shutout outing against Chicago. Take YANKEES!

Texas at Arizona 3:40 ET

Diamondbacks over Rangers - Both of these clubs are fighting for the playoff lives and every game this month has meaning. Texas had won eight-of-nine games before yesterday’s 5-3 lost to the Diamondbacks, after winning four straight road games. Arizona will start Zac Gallen (10-13, 4.94 ERA) who after a rough start he is rounding into form and is off of a shutout the Dodgers in six innings allowing just two hits with eight K’s. Take ARIZONA!

New York Mets at Detroit 1:00 ET

Mets over Tigers - Well, why not! New York has been favored in the two previous game here in Detroit and won them both, and now they are favored again and they are looking for a hat trick. The Mets will start Clay Holmes (11-6, 3.60 ERA) who has made the transition from reliever to a tarter has thrown 141.1 innings without looking fatigued and has won his last two decisions. Detroit looks fatigued losing 7-of-9 and will send out Casey Mize (12-5, 3.95) who has finally shown some promise, but he still surrenders more hits than innings with less strikeouts. Take NEW YORK METS!

New York Mets at Detroit 6:40 ET

Mets over Tigers  - Like yesterday, once again New York has come up favored at Detroit and it isn’t even the Yankees. Like Monday, it bothers me that a team eight games under .500 on the road while the Tigers are 18 games over .500 at home. This may be because of the pitching match up which has the Mets starting rookie Nolan McLean (3-0, 0.89 ERA) who hasn’t walked a batter in his last two starts and has given up just 10 hits in 20.1 innings with 21 strikeouts. Take NEW YORK METS!

Toronto at Cincinnati 6:40 ET

Reds over Blue Jays - Toronto who a week ago had a five game lead in the AL East have dropped five of their last seven games and their lead is now down to two games in the loss column. The Blue Jays will send Jose Berrios (9-5, 3.95 ERA) to the hill and he is 1-2 with a 4.35 in four career appearances against Cincinnati. The Reds will pitch Nick Lodolo (8-7, 3.22) who is making his first start against the Jays.  The Reds had lost five of six before Monday’s 5-4 win but, are still in the playoff hunt and are trailing by four games. Take CINCINNATI!

Seattle at Tampa Bay 7:35 ET

Rays over Mariners - Seattle is a team always on the cusp that so many are waiting to emerge as a true contender. Every season we hear of how strong their pitching is and if they just added or had a little more punch in their lineup. Well, I am one of those people but I have sat waiting for them to develop and for the most part the show flashes and then succumb to the season’s pressure. Even with a player hitting 50 home runs or more they still struggle for wild card position. Tampa is in an also run mode and are counting the days (28) till seasons end. take SEATTLE!

New York Mets at Detroit 1:00 ET

Mets over Tigers - This has got to be the ‘Don’t Make Sense Play of the Day.’ The Mets are favored here in Detroit where the Tigers are 44-25 while New York is 28-37 on the road and just dropped 3-of-4 at home. Detroit had lost 5-of-6 before their stopper Tarik Shubal shut down the Royals. The Tigers return home winning two of their final three on a six game road trip. Returning home can be a hassle when you have to catch up with everyday home chores which can be distracting. I don’t know what else to say other than I thunk ‘Mario, makes this call here’. Take NEW YORK METS!

Toronto at Cincinnati 1:00 ET

Reds over Blue Jays - It seems as though Toronto’s Chris Bassitt (11-7, 4.14 ERA) is in a lull which has been a major short-coming throughout his career. Always it seems in the mist of a good year he has never be able to remain consistent and as of now he has gone six starts without a win surrendering 17 runs in 29.1 innings. Cincinnati will send Hunter Greene (5-4, 2.81) who has shown to have some nasty stuff with 94 K’s in just 77 innings. Greene is coming off of his worst outing of the year and I expect him to come back strong. Take CINCINNATI!

Seattle at Cleveland 1:40 ET

Mariners over Indians - If there ever was a home field advantage this series between Seattle and Cleveland would be the model to follow. The home has not lost in this series since June of 2024 with the home club winning seven straight. Cleveland after having dropped six straight games have won their last four over Seattle with the last three all by one run. The Mariners will try and break the spell by sending Bryce Miller (3-5, 5.98 ERA) to the mound against the Tribe’s Tanner Bibee (9-10, 4.73). Miller was the starting pitcher in the series last road victory as the Mariners won 8-5. Expect more of the same…take SEATTLE!

Milwaukee at Toronto 1:35 ET

Blue Jays over Brewers - Milwaukee who have won seven of the past 10 meetings including the last two in Toronto. The Blue Jays have dropped their last two and 3-of-4 at home where they are now 44-24. The Brewers have MLB’s best record and are 21-8 in August and will send Brandon Woodruff (5-1, 3.10 ERA) who has been a big boost for the Brewers. Toronto will send out veteran Max Scherzer (5-2, 3.82) who has a 2.88 ERA lifetime against the Brewers in 14 career games. Take TORONTO!

San Diego at Minnesota 1:05 ET

Twins over Padres - Minnesota has had a disappointing season to date and have dropped seven of their last 10 games but will start their best hurler today in Joe Ryan (12-7, 3.22 ERA). Ryan has lost his past two starts getting bombed by Toronto and the A’s surrendering 14 hits and 11 runs in just nine innings. San Diego who has lost four of six since taking a pair for the Dodgers will send out rookie David Morgan (1-2, 2.95) who is making just his second start after 33 relief appearances. Take MINNESOTA!

Seattle at Cleveland 7:15 ET

Indians over Mariners - I like Seattle’s Logan Gilbert (4-5, 3.68 ERA) and we have had great success playing on him as a small favorite or even as an underdog but we those selected plays were when he was pitching at home.In his last six road starts he has lasted just 24 innings while surrendering 19 runs. The former Tribesman have won three straight games overall including yesterday’s 5-4 win and the last three meetings in Cleveland. Gavin Williams (8-5, 3.36) is 3-1 in his last nine starts with his lone defeat his last time out when the Tribe was shutout. Take CLEVELAND!

St. Louis at Cincinnati 6:40 ET

Reds over Cardinals - The fact that these two clubs are so close in the standing is says two things, first the Reds have been very disappointing and St. Louis has as they have in the past play themselves into the playoff hunt. The Cardinals have won seven of the past 10 meetings and will start Michael McGreevy (5-2, 4.43 ERA) gets his first start against Cincinnati. The Reds will send developing start Andrew Abbott (8-4, 2.52) who has not won since July 9th and has lost three of his last four starts. Take CINCINNATI!   

Detroit at Kansas City 8:00 ET

Royals over Tigers - Kansas City won the last meeting between these two clubs making it just the third time this season in 10 games that they have prevailed. Detroit who has an 8.5-game lead over the Royals will send Chris Paddack (5-1, 4.98 ERA) to the hill while KC will send Seth Lugo (8-6, 3.99) out to the mound. Lugo was bombed by the Tigers a week ago in the ‘Motor City’ but this time tames the Tigers. Take KANSAS CITY!

San Diego at Seattle 4:10 ET

Mariners over Padres - A pair of imports who came without tariffs have been paying dividends for their respective clubs as the Padres Yu Darvish (3-3, 5.36 ERA) and the Mariners Brandon Woo (11-7, 2.94) clash. Darvish is 8-4 with a 3.58 ERA in 16 starts against Seattle and Woo is 2-0 with a 1.98 ERA in two starts against San Diego. Look for the home club to hold serve and take the series. Take SEATTLE!

San Diego at Seattle 9:40 ET

Mariners over Padres - It happens…sometimes for some unknown reason one team has a hold over another and often times it is just for one season (unlike the Yankees decade abuse of the Twins). Seattle was ready to roll over after the Padres hit three HR’s in the third inning but they came back and defeated San Diego for the fourth straight time this year. Indoors doesn’t fit the southern California’s style. Pods Dylan Ceese (6-11, 4.71 ERA) has been better of late but a disappointment overall and he’ll be up against veteran Luis Castillo (8-7, 3.57). Take SEATTLE!

LA Angels at Texas 8:00 ET

Angels over Rangers - Water will seek its own level…whatever that is suppose to mean but I think it means that Patrick Corbin (6-9, 4.61 ERA) started the season actually getting people out, but since July 10  he is win-less and in his last four starts he has walked 10 in 12 innings surrendering 11 runs. LA will send out Yusei Kikuchi (6-8, 3.42) and he has pitched well enough to have more victories if he had better support. He is 4-2 against the Rangers but with a high ERA. Still, it is the ANGELS!

Boston at Baltimore 6:40 ET

Orioles over Red Sox - This is one of those games where I have to take a team over players…I will explain. Baltimore’s Kyle Bradish will be making his 2025 debut and he is coming off of Tommy John surgery and I always look to play against a pitcher coming off the IL. But, as things go the Orioles are the side against Boston’s Lucas Giolito (8-2, 3.72 ERA) who has resurrected his career and he is 3-2 with an ERA of 4.09 in 33 innings against the ‘Orange Birds’. O’s have won 4-of-5 past meetings. Take BALTIMORE!

San Diego at Seattle 8:40 ET

Mariners over Padres - Both of these clubs are fighting for playoff position with San Diego actually having a chance of overcoming the Dodgers.  Seattle swept a 3-game series in San Diego in mid-May and will start Bryce Miller (2-5, 5.87 ERA) who has been on the IL twice and he threw six scoreless innings in  his only appearance against the Padres. The Padres will send JP Sears (8-10, 4.94) to the hill and he is 2-6 against the Mariners. Take SETTLE!

Atlanta at Miami 6:40 ET

Braves over Marlins - Atlanta is on the verge of missing the playoffs for the first time in eight years as they just haven’t been able to put it together either on the mound or at the plate. Spencer Strider (5-1, 5.24 ERA) went 20-5 leading the majors in strikeouts and wins in 2023 before failing because of injury making just to starts in 2024. But, against Miami he is 2-1 with a 2.87 ERA and will be opposed by Edward Cabrera (6-7, 3.52) who started the season on a roll but has thrown to an ERA of 4.18 in his last four starts. Take ATLANTA!

Boston at Baltimore 6:35 ET

Red Sox over Orioles - The Red Sox just took 3-of-4 from the Yankees and increased their wild card lead over the New Yorkers. Baltimore took a pair of over the Sawx at their place last week and will start Tomoyuki Sugano (10-5, 3.97 ERA) who has won four straight but has no decisions in his last four starts. Boston will send out Brennan Bernardino (4-2, 3.93) who is 0-1 with an ERA of 2.57 against the O’s. Take BOSTON!

Cincinnati at Arizona 8:10 ET

Diamondbacks over Reds - Cincinnati is a team that is so attractive to the bettor and for good reason. They have one of the most exciting players in the game wit Elly De La Cruz and now have a left-handed pitcher that is evolving into one of the league's best. The Reds Andrew Abbott (8-3, 2.28 ERA) is second only to Paul Skenes in NL ERA and will up against  Nabil Crismatt (0-0, 1.80) a former Phillies hurler. Take ARIZONA!

Houston at Baltimore 7:30 ET

Orioles over Astros - It was just two short seasons ago when everyone was speaking of the young Orioles who after posting the most wins in baseball. Alas, last night they played their team record 63rd different player this season. This shows that those prospects didn’t developed as they had hoped. Houston is just prodding along and really have no threat in their division. Javier making just his third start and Orioles take advantage. Take BALTIMORE!

Kansas City at Detroit 6:10 ET

Tigers over Royals - In baseball often a team with scored plenty of runs when a certain pitcher takes the mound and often like we have seem with say Paul Skenes that no matter how good he is his mates just do not score many runs. Well, Michael Wacha (8-9, 3.34 ERA) has won four straight in a row with the support of 33 runs. The Tigers will need for starter Chris Paddock (4-11, 5.10) in ‘Cowboy up.’ Take DETROIT!

Boston at New York 1:05 ET

Red Sox over Yankees - It was just four short weeks ago when on the Gamblers World podcast that I said we all should fade the Yankees for the rest of the season and even that 7-1 that they would not make the playoffs. Boston has passed New york in the standings and will have their best taking the mound against a Yankees rookie (Will Warren (7-5, 4.25 ERA will be opposed by lefty Garrett Crochet (13-5, 2.43) and he is 9-1 in his last 10 decisions. Take BOSTON!

Cincinnati at Arizona 9:40 ET

Diamondbacks over Reds - It has been a most disappointing season for Arizona, who will start an emerging star in Ryan Nelson (6-3, 3.58 ERA), who has allowed just 91 hits in 113 innings. The rough part for their young hurler is that 13 of those hits have been home runs. Cincinnati is 31-32 on the road and will start Zack Littell (8-8, 3.58) and his trouble is larger than his mound opponent he has given up 26 home runs in 133 innings. Take ARIZONA

Cincinnati at LA Angels 9:30 ET

Angels over Reds - I always like to check out series records between two teams as trends have a way of appearing, but, going back to 2019 Cincinnati and the Angels have met 10 times and the Reds have won every encounter. Yep, 10 straight wins and tonight they send Nick Martinez (10-9, 4.73 ERA) to the mound and he is 3-3 with a 3.02 ERA against LA and veteran Yusei Kikuchi (6-8, 3.52) gets the nod for the home team. Take LA ANGELS!

New York Yankees at Tampa Bay 7:35 ET

Rays over Yankees - New York has Aaron Judge back and they have now for four straight and six of seven games while holding on the the final AL Wild Card spot. Tampa Bay always seems to give the Yankees fits although the Bombers have won the past four meetings as they meet for the 12th time this season. The Yankees will start Cam Schlittler (1-2, 3.94 ERA) makes his seventh start and has only 29 innings under his belt. Tampa Bay will direct Drew Rasmussen (10-5, 2.60) to the hill and not only is he 2-0 with a 0.52 ERA in August he is 3-1 with an ERA of 0.85 in six appearances against New York. Take TAMPA BAY!

Houston at Detroit 1:00 ET

Astros over Tigers - It appears tat Detroit is back-on-track after a lull carried into the All-star break and continued for about 10 days but they have now won 8-of-10. The last two wins were over the Astros who have dropped three straight. But, this afternoon Houston will start Framber Valdez (11-6, 3.01 ERA) who is 2-2 with a 2.49 ERA against Detroit who will send Charlie Morton (8-10, 5.20) to the hill and he is 4-6 with an ERA of 5.97 against the ‘Fly-boys.’ Charlie can be scary at times but it is HOUSTON!

Cleveland at Arizona 9:40 ET

Indians over D’backs - After getting swept at home by Atlanta as the Indians lost to the Braves (that’s so Maga) before winning yesterday at Arizona 3-1. After a 3-game road winning streak the Diamondbacks lost three straight on the road to Colorado and return home to lose their fourth straight to Cleveland on Monday. At 36 Merrill Kelly (9-7, 3.38 ERA) is as good as ever except he’s pitching for Arizona. Tanner Bibee (9-9, 4.54) who after a poor start has won five straight decisions. Take CLEVELAND!

Texas at Kansas City 7:40 ET

Royals over Rangers - Both of these clubs are still in the Wild Card hunt and play to streaks when against each other. Kansas City has won the past four meetings (all this season) after Texas had won the previous five meetings. The Royals Seth Lugo (8-6, 3.77 ERA) in his third season as a starter has won 4-of-5 decisions in spite of coming off of two poor performances. The Rangers will start Merrill Kelly (9-6, 3.38)  

Teams moving in opposite directions as the Rangers have dropped 8-of-10 while Royals have won 7-of-9…shit happens. Take KANSA CITY!

Baltimore at Boston 7:10 ET

Red Sox over Orioles - Surprisingly, Boston has moved ahead of New York in the playoff hunt and will be starting newly acquired Dustin May (7-8, 4.67 ERA) from the Dodgers and this will be his third appearance for the Red Sox. Baltimore will send out Trevor Rodgers ( 5-2, 1.43) who is 0-2 against Boston but went over six innings without giving up a run in late May this season. Not this time as May gets his firast AL win…take BOSTON!

Toronto at Pittsburgh 6:40 ET

Pirates over Blue Jays - It has been a difficult chore trying to find a spot to bet on Paul Skenes (7-9, 2.13 ERA) because Pittsburgh just doesn’t give any of their pitchers enough support. But, today is the day to back Skenes as he comes off of surrendering four runs. That has happen three times and each start after that he shut down his opponent with no runs. Take PITTSBURGH!

Seattle at New York Mets 7:10 ET

Mariners over Mets -  Whoa, Woo goes down on Saturday and Logan Gilbert (3-4, 3.31 ERA) picks them up on Sunday. Gilbert who started the year on the IL is once against difficult to hit allowing just 65 hits in 90 innings. This trend is something he’s had his entire career, never allowing as many hits as innings pitched and the margin is huge every season. Muts still woeful. Take SEATTLE!

Milwaukee at Cincinnati 1:40 ET

Reds over Brewers - The streak stops at unlucky Number 13 for Milwaukee! The Brewers are running away from the Cubs and the rest of the National League as they have moved 34 games over .500. They are averaging 5.21 runs and allowing 3.89 the widest margin in baseball, but don’t believe that they will go undefeated they remainder of the season. Milwaukee will meet their Waterloo when Andrew Abbott ( 8-3, 2.41 ERA) takes the mound for the Reds. Jose Quintana (10-4, 3.44) has benefited from the Brewers fine play but it catches up to him today. Take CINCINNATI!

Texas at Toronto 1:30 ET

Rangers over Blue Jays - Texas has fallen 2-games under .500 having lost four straight and 8-of-9 including the last two game to the Blue Jays. Toronto with the best record in the AL by a half-game ahead of the Tigers. The Blue Jays have also won their last three and five of six and will send Jose Berrios (9-4, 3.74 ERA) who has become a consistent winner despite a lofty ERA. The Rangers send out their best this season in Nathan Eovaldi (10-3, 1.71) who has been very effective, allowing hits giving up only 81 in 116 innings. Take TEXAS!

San Diego at LA Dodgers 9:10 ET

Padres over Dodgers - Go figure…the Dodgers get swept six straight game by the LA Angels but own San Diego. LA has defeated the Padres 5-of-6 and eight of 10 straight up. Former Padres Black Snell (2-1. 2.37 ERA) get the nod for the Dodgers and is facing his former teammates for the first time since winning the Cy Young. San Diego is 14-4 in their last 18 games including Friday’s 3-2 loss and will start Dylan Cease (5-10, 4.52) who has been rounding back to form in most recent starts. Take SAN DIEGO!
