Chicago at Minnesota 8:00 ET

Bears (+) over Vikings- Although Chicago has lost their last seven when a professional football team looks as bad as they did against the 49ers I just have to come back with them their next time out. The fact that they are playing Minnesota, a division rival that already defeated them in overtime three weeks ago. The Bears sent that one into OT by scoring 11 points in the final :22 seconds and totaled 400 yards on offense. These rivals split two games last season and I expect them to do the same here. Take CHICAGO!  

Philadelphia at Charlotte 7:00 ET

Hornets (+) over 76ers- The way things look to me, the 76ers are having a mirror season to what the 49ers are going through in the NFL. Injuries and a general drop off in production have hampered any chances of getting thing moving forward. For Philly there is no Joel Embiid or rookie sensation Jared McCain. Each team has seven wins with two of the Sixers’ victories have already come against Charlotte. These two will meet for a fourth time Friday in Philadelphia with the Hornets playing the Wizards Thursday night. But, tonight...take CHARLOTTE!

Memphis at LA Lakers 9:30 ET

Lakers (+) over Grizzlies- This will already be the third meeting between these two with each club holding serve at home with the Grizzlies collecting the money each time. With or without Ja Morant Memphis has won four in-a-row and 9-of-10 while LA has dropped 4-of-5. LeBron James has taken some personal time but is expected to return tonight. If he does or does not return may affect the line but not the side. Take LA LAKERS!

Pittsburgh at Philadelphia 1:00 ET

Eagles (-) over Steelers- Enter game five after a beating by Tampa Bay the Eagles who lost six of their final seven in 2023 looked like nothing more than an also ran midland squad, but with a win Sunday Philadelphia would set a franchise record with 10 straight wins which would be their first in 92 years of football. Pittsburgh as an underdog under Tomlin have won 65 of 98 and are tough to beat when in this role. But, the Eagles have gone 4-1 ATS in the last five meetings including a 35-13 thumping in 2022. The line is strong which tells me that the Eagles soar here. Take PHILADELPHIA!

Buffalo at Detroit 4:25 ET

Bills (+) over Lions- My first thought was that if the LA Rams could put up 457 yards against the Bills what would the Lions do with their potent offense. Buffalo lost 44-42 as Josh Allen accounted for all six touchdowns and carried his club as far as he could. Detroit’s defensive injuries continue to mount as they are playing people that just joined the team that week (this one included). Not to much in the way of previous meeting but the Bills have won the past four with the Lion win coming in 2006. Take BUFFALO!

Indianapolis at Denver 4:25 ET

Colts (+) over Broncos- Talk about different quarterback styles the differences could not be more stark between Denver’s Bo Nix and Indianapolis’ Anthony Richardson. After opening the year0-2 the Broncos have won eight of 11 and right now is the final AFC seed for the playoffs. The Colts who at one time this season appeared to thrown in the towel but are ‘live’ at 6-7 with four games to go. Over the years Indy has had the best of the Broncos winning the last two meetings and seven of 10 both SU and ATS. Take INDIANAPOLIS!

Washington at New Orleans 1:00 ET

Saints (+) over Commandos- Washington has been the most improved (along with Denver) this season compared to last when they won only four games. Heisman winner Jayden Daniels is the difference of course as his numbers bare this out. New Orleans is 3-1 under ‘new’ coach Darren Rizzi but will have a new quarterback under center as Derek Carr is out and Jake Haener is in and he is 14 of 29 passing 48%. The Saints have won the past three meetings and do it again. Take NEW ORLEANS!

Cincinnati at Tennessee 1:00 ET

Titans (+) over Bengals-After ending a 3-game losing streak at Dallas the 5-8 Bengals are looking to win back-to-back games for the 2nd time this season. Cincinnati QB Joe ‘Cool’ Burrow is as good as they come and has 33 TD passes leading the NFL. Although he received a knee injury at the end of the Cowboys game and he is a bit distracted with his home being burglarized and he says he feels violated. Yeah, well, wait for the Titans No. 2 defense allowing just 291 YPG get a hold of him. Take TENNESSEE!

Gonzaga vs Connecticut 8:00 ET

Huskies (+) over Bulldogs- This should be  good one with two-time defending National Champion No.18 Connecticut (7-3) squaring off with Gonzaga (9-1) at Madison Square Garden. In this battle of dogs the Huskies have won five of seven meetings including a win in the NCAA Elite Eight two years ago and in Seattle last season. UConn dropped three straight when their big man Alex Karaban was sidelined with a concession. He’s back and will be the difference. Take CONNECTICUT!  

Marquette at Dayton 7:00 ET

Flyers (+) over Golden Eagles- Marquette (9-1) rebounded from their lone loss at Iowa State with a win over ranked Wisconsin while Dayton is riding a 3-game win streak the includes a win over Connecticut. The Flyers lost back-to-back games one to North Carolina and also dropped their encounter against Iowa State losing 89-84. But, they have responded with three straight wins. This line seems awful short for a No. 6 ranked team coach by Shaka Smart against an un-ranked opponent. Take DAYTON!

Tennessee at Illinois 5:30 ET

Illini (+) over Volunteers- No. 1 Tennessee (9-0) has won every game by at least 13 points leading the nation in field goad percentage at 52.1. Meanwhile, the twice beaten Illini who fell at Northwestern and Alabama on the road and are undefeated (6-0) at home. Illinois has won three of four times when hosting the No. 1 team and they are one of the best defensive teams allowing opponents to shoot just 37% from the field. Take ILLINOIS!  

Army vs Navy 3:00 ET

Midshipman (+) over Black Knights- Great match-up that will have the nation’s attention as the pride of the military academies face off in Landover Maryland. Army at 11-1 has been installed as a favorite just under a touchdown and I really don’t know if they should be any more that a field goal if anything at all. Navy at 8-3 incurred their first loss to Notre Dame 49-14 as did Army losing 51-49. The next common opponent was Air Force and both won easily but, then came Tulane. Navy was blown out by the Green Wave 35-0 three weeks ago and rebounded with a win over E. Carolina, while the last time out the Cadets destroyed the same club Tulane 35-14. The Middies have had an extra week to get ready and will be! Take NAVY!

UCLA vs Arizona 3:00 ET

Bruins (+) over Wildcats- Arizona (4-4) has been one of the more disappointing teams to take the NCAA court this season having met four power conference teams and lost all four encounters to West Virginia, Oklahoma, Duke and Wisconsin. It is good to be able to schedule tough opponents but you have got to win some of those contests. UCLA (8-1) is one of the toughest defensive teams in the nation comes into this fray on a seven game win streak after losing to New Mexico in Las Vegas. The Bruins are the top defensive team in the national allowing just 55.1 PPG and are No. 1 in defensive field goal percentage allowed. Take UCLA!

Georgetown at Syracuse 2:30 ET

Orange (-) over Hoyas- This will be the 100 meeting between these two as the had battles over the years for the Big East and National Championship. The both won the title as member of the Big East but Syracuse who holds a 54-45 edge has moved to the Atlantic Coast Conference and without Jim Boeheim running the program the Orange have fallen off the charts. Georgetown stayed in the conference but lost John Thompson and it has been down hill ever since. Both of these current clubs struggle offensively but the Hoyas play a better brand of defense. Take GEORGETOWN!

Xavier at Cincinnati 2:00 ET

Bobcats (-) over Musketeers- The great Queen City rivalry continues with the 92nd meeting between Xavier (8-2) and No. 22 Cincinnati (7-1). The Musketeers trail the all-time series 51-40 but have won the last five and 9-of-11 while only going 4-7 ATS. The Bearcats will be better rested while Xavier come off of 119-58 over Morgan State the biggest margin of victory in school history. The cream will rise here as the Bobcats returning players are a better group playing together than are the transfers at Xavier. Take CINCINNATI!

San Antonio at Portland 10:00 ET

Trailblazers (+) over Spurs- Portland has dropped four games in-a-row and failed to cover the number in all four games and 6-of-the-last-7. In head-to-head action San Antonio has won the last two meetings including a 118-105 victory at home back in the first week of the season. The problem here  for the Spurs is the availability of Victor Wembanyama who has been missing time due to back issues. Aside from ‘The Alien’ being questionable the Spurs have three others who will be sidelined leaving them short handed. Take PORTLAND!

LA Rams and San Francisco 8:15 ET

49ers (-) over Rams- Up until the last two meetings which were Rams victories one at the end of last year and the other  starting this season the Niners had dominated the series winning eight of nine. LA has won six of eight including a Sunday win over Buffalo and they control their own destiny playing all three division rivals and the NY Jets. San Francisco at 6-7 is in the cellar and have been hit with way too many injuries to survive a full 17-game NFL season. 49ers will find Stafford a lot tougher to defend than anything the Bears could have sent their way last week, but they can still play defense. Take SAN FRANCISCO!

Sacramento at New Orleans 8:00 ET

Pelicans (+) over Kings- New Orleans has dropped 13 of their last 14 and 20 of the past 23 but have livened up ATS going 5-4 in the last nine games. Now, here is the freaky part...the Pelicans have beaten the Kings six straight times and 8-of-10 going 8-2 ATS. Sacramento comes into town have scored 141 and 140 points in their last two games against Utah and San Antonio. This one should come down to the final buzzer. Take NEW ORLEANS!

Iowa State at Iowa 7:30 ET

Hawkeyes (+) over Cyclones- Iowa State has been good to us ever since T.J. Otzelberger left UNLV and took over in Ames as the Cyclones has ascended to No. 3 in the polls. State is looking for their fifth win in-a-row but the Hawkeyes have been waiting since their 85-83 loss to Michigan (Power Play) on Saturday. Iowa hold a huge series advantage 48-29 and have gone 6-2-1 ATS in the last nine meetings. Foul shooting a concern for the home squad as it cost them against the Wolverines. Take IOWA!

Dallas at Oklahoma City 9:30 ET

Thunder (-) over Mavericks- Dallas has had the best of this series between these two winning the past three and five of the last six meetings including a 121-119 win three weeks ago in Oklahoma City. This is the first round of the NBA Cup Knockout stage and last season the Mavericks knock off OKC in the playoffs 4-2. Isaiah Hartenstein is back and and producing in Chat Holmgren’s spot. Take OKLAHOMA CITY!

Arkansas vs. Michigan 9:00 ET

Razorbacks (+) over Wolverines- Michigan who is rebounding from one of the school’s worst season’s in five decades has won eight straight games after opening the year with a loss to Wake Forest. Arkansas under their ‘new’ coach John Calipari have been defeated twice losing to Illinois and Baylor who were both ranked at the time. This is a homecoming of sorts for Calipari with this match up at Madison Square Garden. Take ARKANSAS!

Cincinnati at Dallas 8:15 ET

Cowboys (+) over Bengals- What a disappointing season it has been for both of these clubs who were expected to contend for at least a playoff spot which is now a moot point. Cincinnati has dropped three straight after their win against Las Vegas and head to Dallas to play the Cowboys who they have lost all five meetings over the past 15 years. The problem for the Cowboys is that they are playing with a sub-par quarterback while the Bengals have the quarterback needed but not much else. Both teams average 28.3 points a game but their defenses have been exposed. Joe Burrow has 30 TD passes and yet the Cats have only four wins. Take DALLAS!

· LA Chargers at Kansas City 8:20 ET

· Chiefs (-) over Chargers- It’s getting to be that time...that time when the Chiefs start facing their games with a little bit more intensity. Granted Kansas City is 11-1 SU but the are a lackluster 5-7 ATS but they have won the last six meetings and 8-of-10 including a 17-10 win in LA on September 29. It has been the Chiefs defense that has carried them most of the year and now it is time for Mahomes to step up and he will. Take KANSAS CITY!

Cleveland at Miami 6:00 ET

Heat (+) over Cavaliers- After suffering a pair of road losses to Boston and Toronto Miami has returned home and posted victories over Phoenix and the Lakers. Cleveland who was off to a record setting start has recovered from a pair of losses to Atlanta with four straight wins and covers. The Cavs average 121.8 points per game and have not scored less than 101 points in any single game. The Heat turn up the defensive pressure and get the cash here. Tame MIAMI!

UCLA at Oregon 6:00 ET

Bruins (+) over Ducks- These two former PAC-12 rivals has split the season series the past two years with UCLA winning 4-of-6 meetings. Undefeated (9-0) No. 12 ranked Oregon and have had a number of narrow victories and have won nine straight since an opening night loss to Creighton. The Bruins have won six consecutive games since a loss in Las Vegas to New Mexico and all their wins have been by double-digits. They also play some of the toughest defense in the land as they don’t turn the ball over and average 19 takeaways a game. Take UCLA!

· Buffalo at LA Rams 4:25 ET

· Rams (+) over Bills- Buffalo clinch their sixth straight AFC East title last week winning their seventh straight game while dismantling the 49ers. Los Angeles although just 6-6 is still in the thick of it in the NFC West along with Seattle (7-5) and Arizona (6-6). So, while the Rams are in need the Bills can rest on their laurels so to speak with a division clinching hangover. Take LA RAMS!

· New York Jets at Miami 1:00 ET

· Jets (+) over Dolphins- After being grounded for the entire season the Jets are ready to take off without any pressure to win. No New York media, no fans screaming their heads off at you, just the salty scent of ocean mist with temperature in the 70’s. A scenery change that is so needed by this sputtering and stubbing over-rated, over-the-hill under-achievers called the New York Jets. The Dolphins have won the past three meetings and seven of the last eight but the New York coaching change has helped them win one of seven since Robert Saleh was given his pink slip but Rogers remains and will start. Take NEW YORK JETS!

Las Vegas at Tampa Bay 1:00 ET

Raiders (+) over Buccaneers- Tampa Bay last year’s division winner is tied with Atlanta at 6-6 with the Falcons holding the tie-breaker that will change the next time they meet. Las Vegas has lost eight in-a-row and are tied with the New York Giants with the worst record in the entire NFL at 2-10. The fact that Antonio Pierce was a player with the Giants and now coaches the Raiders has nothing to do with anything other than the Raiders should be good here! Good to break your heart, good to fumble at the worse time, good to commit a foolish penalty and good to cover today. Take LAS VEGAS!

Kentucky at Gonzaga 10:00 ET

Bulldogs (-) over Wildcats- A great early season match-up between a pair of top-10 teams that will create a lot of national media attention. Kentucky ranked No. 4 brings the nation’s top scoring offense to Seattle averaging 92.9 PPG while the No. 7 Bulldogs are close behind putting up 90.4 points per contest. Both clubs are 7-1 with Gonzaga getting the cash six of eight. New Wildcats coach Mark Pope has a history of facing the Zags having coached at BYU and is 1-9 against them. Called the Battle in Seattle the Bulldogs are 9-5 all-time in the series. Take GONZAGA!

Clemson vs. SMU 8:00 ET

Tigers (+) over Mustangs- When I look at this matchup I wonder ‘who is going to take Clemson’ aside for alumni or those that can not read a stat line or haven’t actually seen the Tigers play. Opening the season by getting pounded by Georgia (not as good as we thought) the Tigers also lost to South Carolina and Louisville but did defeat Citadel 51-14. SMU has won nine straight and the ACC newcomer will feel the rather of a prideful conference defender which is 7-0 SU in their last seven ACC Championship games going 6-1 ATS. Take CLEMSON!

Penn State vs. Oregon 8:00 ET

Nittany Lions (+) over Ducks- Once again we have an invader playing for a conference championship as Oregon tries to capture the Big Ten Championship s their inaugural season. Penn State managed to get here as a survivor after Ohio State (who is co-favorites with Oregon to win it all) fell to Michigan. Dillon Gabriel the Big Ten Offensive Player of the Year will be James (Bend-over) Franklin has yet to show he can win the big game and this one qualifies. He is 1-12 with Penn State against Top-10 teams and 1-15 overall in his coaching career. But, the Lions have lost to OSU 20-13 while the Ducks defeated the Buckeyes 32-31. No matter, the point spread Gods are backing the Nittany Lions. Take PENN STATE!

Memphis at Boston 8:00 ET

Celtics (-) over Grizzlies- This game may very well be a game that is worth the price of  admission. There is exceptional talent on both side of the court on both offense and defense and that is even with Ja Morant once again having personal issues. Still, without their super nova star they are still 15-8 both SU and ATS but have always struggled against Boston. The Celtics have won six straight meetings and 9-of-10 although only going 3-7 ATS. The upstart Grizzlies are No. 4 on both offense and defense in points scored and points allowed but the still can’t match the Celtics desire ti win. Take BOSTON!  

Phoenix at Miami 8:00 ET

Heat  (-) over Suns- I sort of feel about this game the way a doctor speaks to his patient who says ‘it hurts when I do this...and the doctor responds well don’t do that.’ You see Phoenix is 8-2 when they have their big three of Durant, Booker and Beal are together but, only 1-7 when Kevin Durant is out. So, with the big guy out again the play is simple. The Suns have won the past three meetings including a non-cover victory on November 6 in Phoenix but they are out of the desert and stranded on the beach without KD. The Heat warm up to the Suns and burn them here. Take MIAMI!

Oklahoma City at New Orleans 7:00 ET

Pelicans (+) over Thunder- We just have to hope that the hungry Thunder dine late and over eat as well as party hard in the Crescent City with the knowledge that the Pelicans have won just five of 23 games. Oklahoma City has won six of their last seven and has seven straight wins in this series between the two going 6-1 ATS. The Pelicans broke a nine-game losing streak with a win over Phoenix Thursday and repeat the act tonight. Take NEW ORLEANS!

Butler at Houston 5:30 ET

Cougars (-) over Bulldogs- Guys ,if this works we should continue to have a wonderful season with many great payoffs. Houston was ranked No. 4 and is expected to challenge Connecticut and the other powers for the Championship but with three losses in their first seven games their image has been tarnished. So, here come Butler who about a decade ago had some talent and at 7-1 many expect them to be able to climb the ladder. You may be impressed but not the bookmakers who install the Cougars as huge favorites. That’s because not only do they need a good performance but the Bulldogs are playing their first true road game of the season and they won’t respond well. Take HOUSTON!

Georgia vs Texas 4:00 ET

Bulldogs (+) over Longhorns- A great rematch of what was a Game of the Year winner for ‘us’ with Georgia winning 30-15 in first meeting as a 4-point underdog at Austin. Texas is ranked No. 2 in points allowed with just 11.7 PPG and No. 1 in total yards allowed with just 247 per game. Georgia hasn’t been anything close to what we expected and is just 3-9 ATS and needs and outright win here once again to get to the Final Dozen. The Bulldogs kept their championship hopes alive with a huge comeback win in 8 OT’s over Georgia Tech last week. Many have questioned the Longhorns strength of schedule and this is their chance to atone for their lone defeat. Sorry...take GEORGIA!

Iowa at Michigan 2:00 ET

Wolverines (-) over Hawkeyes- Michigan is off one of the schools worst seasons in recent memory and are rebounding to make any supporter proud.  The Wolverines are under-rated by the books this season and are 6-2 ATS while the once again, the over-rated Hawkeyes are just 3-5 ATS despite a 7-1 record. With both schools at 7-1 the line is a bit high and is the highest in the past 20 meetings as defense is the key and the Wolves play it much better. Take MICHIGAN!

Iowa State vs. Arizona State 12:00 ET

Cyclones (+) over Sun Devils- No. 15 Arizona State exceeded all expectations by winning 10 of 12 after a 3-wins season in the Pac-12 in 2023. A newcomer to the Big -12 this is the Sun Devils first appearance in Arlington, Texas facing No. 16 Iowa State playing for their first conference championship since 1912. The Cyclones won their first seven his season became ranked and then stubbed their toes in consecutive losses against Kansas and Texas Tech falling out of the rankings. But, they recovered with three straight wins to get here. The Devils will be without outstanding receiver Jordyn Tyson whose 75 receptions and 1101 yards and 10 TD’s will be missed. Take IOWA STATE!

Illinois at Northwestern 9:00 ET

Wildcats (+) over Illini- Big Ten battle comes home for Northwestern (0-1) who lost the conference opener 80-79 at Iowa on a 27-foot buzzer beater. No. 9 Illinois is riding a  3-game win streak and 6-of-7 and are opening their Big Ten action on the road. The Wildcats have four key players returning to a squad that defeated the Illini in OT here going 9-1 in conference play. Illinois return zero starters from that encounter. Experience helps...take NORTHWESTERN!

UNLV at Boise State 8:00 ET

Rebels (+) over Broncos- This game and what it means is what sports is all about. UNLV has been know for their basketball over the years but never has any of the football teams and their have been a few well maybe a couple that really deserved high praise, but the distance that the Rebels football program have move up the past 2-plus seasons in unusual for big time football schools let alone a school referred to as ‘Tumbleweed Tech.’ Still, with all their growth the Rebels are still playing catch-up to Boise State and have lost all seven meetings since 2011. But, the Broncos were any where from 23.5-point favorites to 43-point favorites and this line shows just how far the Rebels have closed the gap. With some Vegas luck they just might crack the final dozen. Take UNLV!

Orlando at Philadelphia 7:00 ET

76ers (+) over Magic- These two met in Philadelphia on Tuesday with Orlando winning 106-102 for their second win of the season over the 76ers. The Magic were a 6-point favorite two days ago and now the same two teams are at the same venue and the line has been dropped. I believe what the bookies are saying is that the 76ers will be ready. Joel Embiid and Paul George were both out on Tuesday’s meeting with George returning tonight and Embiid to remain in his own private Idaho. Take PHILADELPHIA!

Georgetown at West Virginia 7:00 ET

Mountaineers (-) over Hoyas- Are they back? At 7-1 is Georgetown ready to join the top level of Men’s Basketball that they once held. It is a long way back from where they were, to where they have fallen to what it takes to become respected once again. Okay, now who have they played? They play only one D-1 school and not one with a stellar basketball program, Notre Dame 84-63 blasted the Hoyas. The Mountaineers were facing Arizona, Louisville, Gonzaga and Pittsburgh and are game tested. Take WEST VIRGINIA!

Green Bay at Detroit 8:15 ET

Packers (+) over Lions- On a weekly basis with or without them playing well or not I have felt that this the Lions year. Not since Bobby Lane and Doak Walker appeared in four Championship games in six season has Detroit had this kind of talent. If these cats make it to the Super Bowl it will be their first appearance ever. It is getting difficult to keep the faith they way they have lost top impact defensive players that will be difficult to replace. To be in love with the Packers quarterback is a stretch right now as Jordan has not measured up to the personal level what many had hoped for and expected this season. Still, defense, running the ball and not turning it over will be a key. The Lions have tied the franchise record for wins for a season and it is a 17-game season with five more to go as they stand alone a top of the NFC standings. The Packers have won seven of eight with their lone blemish a home loss four weeks ago 24-14  to Detroit. Take GREEN BAY!

Phoenix at New Orleans 8:00 ET

Pelicans (+) over Suns- Man does this one stinks, reeks and is putrid to say the least. Both teams are dealing with injuries starting with Phoenix who once again is have health issues with Kevin ‘please don’t hurt my feelings’ Durant and New Orleans who has seen Zion Williamson fall to another set back. The Suns were 8-1 with their sensitive All-star forward and are 1-6 without him. Take NEW ORLEANS!

Sacramento at Memphis 8:00 ET

Kings (+) over Grizzlies- Sacramento who have been underachievers to date once again realize what happens when you share the basketball. After defeating Houston with 33 assists on 47 make field goal the Kings feel like royalty and want more of it. Memphis just had their six game win streak end on Tuesday and will see their five-game home winning streak end tonight. Take SACRAMENTO!

Denver at Cleveland 7:00 ET

Nuggets (+)  over Cavaliers- Cleveland who started 15-0 is back on track after dropping 3-of-5 they have rebounded for consecutive victories. Denver has been inconsistent and although 11-8 SU they are just 7-11 ATS with 12 of 19 games going over the total. The Cavaliers are a high scoring bunch having gone over the total 13-9. The Nuggets have won three of the past four meetings and should get the money once again. Take DENVER!

Auburn at Duke 9:15 ET

Blue Devils (-) over Tigers- Bruce Pearl has his undefeated (7-0) Auburn Tigers up to No. 2 in the college basketball ratings. They have a clean slate because of an 18-point comeback win over No. 4 Iowa State at the Maui Invitational. Duke already with a pair of losses to No. 17 Arizona and No.1 Kansas while beating No. 19 Kentucky. Tigers are 0-3 lifetime against the Blue Devils and the beat goes on...take DUKE!

Kansas at Creighton 8:30 ET

Blue Jays (+) over Jayhawks- No. 1 Kansas has stayed undefeated (7-0) with wins over Duke, North Carolina and Michigan State which is impressive. But, now the journey north toe Ohama Nebraska to take on Creighton who with three straight losses before their win at Notre Dame has dropped out of the Top-25. Cyclone (+) over Golden Eagles- This should be a great encounter between No. 5 Marquette and No. 6 Iowa State is Ames, Iowa. The Golden Eagles are undefeated (8-0) and are a stellar 6-2 ATS will all but one game at home where they are perfect. Cyclones coach TJ Otzelberger has had his ‘cagers’ improve with each season since leaving UNLV. Take IOWA STATE!

Indiana at Brooklyn 7:30 ET

Pacers over Nets- After finishing the 2023-24 season with a flurry most expected more out of Indiana than their 9-13 start including 2-10 on the road. They have lost seven straight on the road and now come up favored at Brooklyn who is 4-5 at home and 13-8 ATS this  season. The Nets enter this contest with their major spark Cam Thomas sidelined and three other (two starters) are either questionable or out leaving Nets with a shallow bench. Take INDIANA!

Kentucky at Clemson (9:30 ET

Tigers (+) over Wildcats- No. 4 Kentucky (7-0) leads the nation in scoring putting up 96.7 PPG and are No. 2 with 21.1 assists  while grabbing 45 rebounds per game. The Wildcats have a huge win over Duke but enter Littlejohn Coliseum for their first true road game. Let me remind you that Clemson reached the Elite-Eight last season and this year are shooting nearly 40% from long range. Tigers have enough to upset Wildcats at home. Take CLEMSON!

Michigan at Wisconsin 9:00 ET

Badgers (+) over Wolverines- It is unusual for Big Ten Conference play to start before the New year but with conference sizes growing it must be. No 11 Wisconsin has changed their motif and are now a high-powered scoring offense as opposed to a grind and grab defense which always came first. Michigan is having a rebound season and have won five straight since a loss to Wake Forest. This time around it is the Wolverines that are playing tough defense. Take MICHIGAN!

Indiana at Toronto 7:30 ET

Raptors (+) over Pacers- There is something really, really wrong with the Pacers. I don’t know what it is as of now and it is difficult to put my hands on, but...there is something going on and it is not positive. Toronto with just six SU wins on 21 tries is a stellar 14-7 ATS while Indiana has dropped their last two games and five of their past eight. Both clubs are 0-3 in the NBA Cup series but met three weeks ago in Toronto with the Raptors prevailing 130-119. Toronto born RJ Barrett has been a force at home scoring 37 and 39 points the last two home games averaging 30.4 points when hosting. Take TORONTO!

Milwaukee at Detroit 7:00 ET

Pistons (+) over Bucks- Streaks are the name of the game when involving these two clubs as Milwaukee is on a six-game run and has won eight of nine. Detroit who has already matched last season franchise record low wins total has dropped 10 straight to the B8cks and 22 of the last 23 meetings. Piston’s star Cade Cunningham has missed the previous three games but is expected to play tonight. Take DETROIT

Cincinnati at Villanova 6:30 ET

Wildcats (+) over Bearcats- These two are meeting as part of the Big East- Big 12 Battle in Philadelphia where No. 14 undefeated Cincinnati (6-0) puts it on the line against a Villanova squad that has yet to find its footing. The Wildcats have made big strides since their opening week and defense is the key. The Bearcats have won the past three meetings and the Wildcats had won the previous three and have enough at home to win here. Take VILLANOVA!

Cleveland at Denver 8:15 ET

Browns (+) over Broncos- In the first week of September most would have bet that each would have the others record entering this fray. Denver was one of the worst in the NFL last season and is closing in on a playoff spot at 7-5 SU while Cleveland who was expected to contend for at least the division title is 3-8. But, the Browns have not quit  on the season and have had extra rest after upsetting Pittsburgh on a Thursday night. Take CLEVELAND!

L.A. Lakers at Minnesota 8:00 ET

Timberwolves (-) over Lakers- Los Angeles is off of a win in Utah last night as they raised their record to 12-8 as LeBron James and Anthony Davis are playing like the All-stars that they are. Minnesota, on the other hand is 9-10 SU and a very disappointing 6-13 ATS. The Lakers opened the season with a home win over the T’wolves and the last time these two met in Minny the Wolves won at home. The ‘line’ tells me the Timberwolves are ready to play and the ‘Lake-men’ may have jet lag. Take MINNESOTA!

San Francisco at Buffalo 8:20 ET

49ers (+) over Bills- With all the bad things going on with San Francisco they at least have the return of quarterback Brock Purdy (who many still don’t believe in) is questionable as of Saturday with an ailing shoulder. It doesn’t really matter as the Niners with need to control the ball and play solid defense while forcing Allen to throw it sooner than wanted. Bills have won six straight and are walking to the AFC East title. Take the points...SAN FRANCISCO!

Oklahoma City at Houston 7:00 ET

Rockets (+) over Thunder- OKC who finished first in the West last season continue their stellar pace and once again are the leader of the conference.The Thunder handed Houston a 126-107 defeat three weeks ago and evened the series at 5-5 both SU and ATS in the last 10 meetings. That is the only double-digit loss among six defeats for the Rockets with the other five losses by a combined 21 points. OKC’s defense has suffered a bit with Chet Holmgren sidelined once again and the Rockets take advantage. Take HOUSTON!

LA Rams at New Orleans 4:05 ET

Saints (+) over Rams- New Orleans new head coach Darren Rizzi is 2-0 breaking a seven game losing streak. There is an energy so to speak that that’s a 180 degree turn and it can become just as strong in the opposite direction. The Saints have gotten better as Derek Carr’s gotten healthy. Los Angeles was exposed last week by the Eagles and they reinvented Saint will go marching on. Take NEW ORLEANS!  

LA Chargers at Atlanta 1:00 ET

Falcons (+) over Chargers- I hate to do this because I always have a soft spot in my heart for the Chargers be they LA or San Diego and even more so now that it looks like they have two leaders. One in their coach and the other is how their quarterback Herbert has emerged more aggressive and focused. But, all clubs come to a time and place where things just don’t happen right and this game is in Atlanta  where the Falcons are waiting for prey after losing a pair on the road. Take ATLANTA!

Houston at Jacksonville 1:00 ET

Jaguars (+) over Texans-  Jacksonville has lost four straight while going 2-8 ATS in their last 10 including a 52-6 beat down at the hands of Detroit. Yet, Jaguars coach Doug Pederson who once denied he ‘fixed’ an outing with the Eagles says changes are coming. They sure are you piece of no integrity crap-man you will be gone. Lawrence return to keep it close. Take JACKSONVILLE!

Oregon at Alabama 9:30 ET

Ducks Crimson Tide - Be it the gridiron and on the hard wood this would be a great match up of ranked squads in wither football or basketball. Oregon 7-0 SU is without a blemish will be up against their toughest competition yet this season. Alabama has one defeat and that came at the hands of Purdue when they had their worst shooting game of the season. Ducks defense allows 39.4% shooting a game so more of the same here. Take OREGON!

Texas at Texas A&M 7:30 ET

Aggies (+) over Longhorns- I really like the position on this match-up. Texas A&M was de4feated by Auburn in overtime after batting back from a 21-0 deficit and then blew a 3-point lead with :04 seconds to go in the game. I was very pleased with the final score as it raised our college Megabucks record to 10-2 on the season. All the time the Aggies were getting blown-out I was thinking with Texas next that they were looking ahead but they managed to make a come-back only to fall short in the end. Not this week. Take TEXAS A&M!

Philadelphia at Detroit 7:00 ET

76ers (+) over Pistons- Philadelphia with the addition of Paul George and with their remaining cast expected to contend for the championship. But, Embiid has payed sparingly and and they have won just 3-of-17 games played. Detroit who had their worse record in franchise history last season posted their first win of the season against the 76ers. Look for a bit a payback here. Take PHILADELPHIA!

Arkansas at Missouri 3:30 ET

Razorbacks (+) over Tigers- Arkansas may only be only 6-5 on the season but their offense is ranked 0th in total yards. Missouri recovered from their 34-0 loss to Alabama with three straight wins and covers to make it 5-of-6 for both. The problem here for the Razorbacks is that they have never won at Missouri although the last two losses were by 2-points. Hogs gain a measure of atonement after last years beating. Take ARKANSAS!

Miami at Syracuse 3:30 ET

Hurricanes (-) over Eagles- Conditions should be right with a game that is in what is now called JMA Wireless Dome and that suits a team from Miami just fine. Perfect conditions for one of the nation’s leading passers in the Hurricanes Cam Ward while Syracuse’s QB is no piker but Kyle McCord does not have the same supporting cast.

Take MIAMI!

Notre Dame at USC 3:30 ET

Trojans (+) over Fighting Irish- I am one of the few that I speak with that even mentions Notre Dame making it to the title game. I believe they can because they play a solid turnover free sound running game. The loss to Northern Illinois set them back in everyone’s eyes and they have crawled their up back up the ladder. USC has a two game win streak while the Irish have covered seven straight but this game is special and ND has won seven of the past 10 and 4-of-5 meetings but they split the games against the points 5-5. This time it’s USC.

Rutgers at Michigan State 3:30 ET

Scarlet Knights (+) over Michigan State- It is funny how things work out (in my mind at least) but knowing that Rutgers is under-rated and coming off a loss and Michigan State is not all that good and over-rated gives me my side. The Spartans need a win here to become bowl eligible while the Knights at 6-5 know that their season will be extended four weeks. Conditions are not to be ideal which will only aid the run game.

Texas A&M vs Rutgers 3:30 ET

Scarlet Knights (+) over Aggies- A pair of 5-2 clubs meet for the first time, not only for the first time this season but first the first time in the two schools’ history. Texas A&M has one of the nation’s worst shooting teams in America ranking No. 289 hitting just 41.9 % of their shots taken. The Aggies just upset Creighton 77-73 and now face Rutgers who just dropped a 95-90 decision against Alabama. Look for both clubs to return to center and for the Scarlet Knights to get the cash. Take RUTGERS!

Creighton vs Notre Dame 10:00 ET

Blue Jays (-) over Fighting Irish- Both of these clubs are 4-3 but won’t remain that way and not just because they are playing each other tonight. Creighton is 1-5 ATS and has dropped three straight games the latest to Texas A&M 77-73 on Wednesday. Notre Dame has also dropped their last three contests the latest to Houston on Thanksgiving Day 65-54. The Blue Jays defense is one of the best keeping opponents at just 37% shooting percentage. Take CREIGHTON!

LA Clippers at Minnesota 7:30 ET

Timberwolves (-) over Clippers- Last season Minnesota made it to the Western Conference Finals and this season after making a trade sending Karl Anthony-Towns to New York (who hasn’t adjusted to the trade either). We played the Kings over the T-wolves before the holiday and had a power play winner. This time we look for them to rebound after their forth straight loss. Take MINNESOTA

Nebraska at Iowa 7:30 ET

Cornhuskers (+) over Hawkeys- Last week Nebraska became Bowl eligible with a win over Wisconsin for the first time since 2016. Iowa needs a win here to become bowl as they are one win shy as of now. After missing the past three games Iowa QB Cade McNamara (all losses) returns to action to team up with running back Kaleb Johnson and he is the Big Ten leader in touchdowns and rushing. Take IOWA!

New York Giants at Dallas 4:30 ET

Giants (+) over Cowboys- The Giants six game losing streak has them at the very bottom of the NFL not only record wise but in scoring as well averaging just 14.8 points per game. They cut Daniel Jones and went to Tommy DeVito at QB and he was destroyed to the point where Drew Lock most likely get the start.Dallas ended their losing streak with a win over hate rival Washington which eased the pressure for the Giants it mounts. Take New York GIANTS!

Michigan vs Xavier 8:30 ET

Wolverines over Musketeers - Both schools off to good starts as the competition starts to heat up. Michigan (5-1) had a horrible season in 2023 and have made huge changes starting with their coach as Howard is gone. The only blemish between this two clubs was when the Wolverines fell to Wake Forest 72-70 as Xavier (6-0) has been perfect up until now. Both play excellent defense but the Wolves have  slight edge. Take MICHIGAN!

Sacramento at Minnesota 8:00 ET

Kings (+) over Timberwolves- Having dropped the last couple of NBA releases I always get gun shy even when this is a strong play available. It is just the mind set of sports handicapping. But I do like the Kings here. Minnesota has lost three straight and 6-of-8 as it looks like the trade between the Wolves and New York has yet to pay off for either team. The Kings haven’t been so hot much of late having lost their last four. The Timberwolves already have a pair of wins over the Kings this season winning 130-126 in OT and 117-115 with both games in California. Kings rule here. Take SACRAMENTO!

Auburn vs North Carolina 11:00 ET

Tigers (+) over Tar Heels- No. 4 Auburn is in an unusual spot being favored over No. 12 North Carolina, but the undefeated Tigers (6-0) are off of a huge Come0from-behind win over ranked Iowa State. The Tar Heels used their powerful offense to stormed back from an 18-point half-time deficit against Dayton for their 92-90 non-cover win. The Tigers score 86.4 PPG while NC allows 76.4 ranking them No. 226 on defense. Take AUBURN!

Chicago at Washington 7:00 ET

Wizards (+) over Bulls- Chicago has had their way against the Wizards but who hasn’t?  They have won seven of the past 10 meetings. This pair of also-rans meet in the NBA Cup in season tournament with Chicago having lost four of their last six while Washington has dropped 11 straight games and have only two wins on the season. But, the Bulls have allowed 140 or more points three times in their last six games and allow a league worst 123.9 PPG. Take WASHINGTON!

Oregon vs Texas A&M 4:30 ET

Ducks (+) over Aggies- No. 20 Texas A&M is considered the home team in this match up in Las Vegas having won their last four games after opening the year with a loss at Central Florida. Oregon remains undefeated after taking down state rival Oregon State 75-73 on Thursday. The Ducks will look to outscore you while the Aggies who can put the ball in the hoop pride themselves with defense that is allowing just 61.6 PPG. Closer to home...take OREGON!

Dayton vs North Carolina 11:30 ET

Flyers (+) over Tar Heels- I have always had a special place in my heart for the Dayton Flyers and it goes back to when I was a youngster and my father took me to the NIT and there I saw Donnie May a left-handed sharp shooter light up Madison Square Garden as the Flyers took the gold ring. North Carolina is a high powered scoring machine averaging 94.2 PPG while the Flyers play a tough solid defense allowing only 69 PPG. This should be close until the final horn, Take DAYTON!

Auburn vs Iowa State 9:00 ET

Cyclones (+) over Tigers- A pair of top-5 ranked cagers hook up in a burned out Lahaina as No. 4 Auburn opens the favorite against No. 5 Iowa State. The Tigers hace a huge quality win over then ranked No. 4 Houston while the Cyclone defeated weak mid-majors at home. Great coaching match up between Bruce Pearl and T.J. Otzelberger with the later making strikes to the Sweet-16 last season. Take IOWA STATE!

Baltimore at L.A. Chargers 8:15 ET

Chargers (+) over Ravens- It bothers me a bit that the Ravens are favored in the match-up as Los Angeles is coming into this fray with four straight wins and the Ravens are off a 18-16 loss at Pittsburgh following a. Baltimore’s two-time MVP quarterback Lamar Jackson has 25 TD passes and just three interceptions but the Ravens will be without the NFL co-leader in tackles middle linebacker Roquan Smith and I think that is a huge loss. Black-birds have won the last four regular season meetings with the Chargers winning 23-17 the one time they met in the wildcard game in 2018. Harbough versus Harbough coaching makes for great  storyline except neither of these guys are very exciting but the both can coach. Chargers 4-1 SU at home and Monday night should help the home 11. Take LA CHARGERS!

Dallas at Atlanta 7:30 ET

Hawks (-) over Mavericks- Atlanta returns home after a four game road trip that saw them win just once a 109-108 victory at Sacramento. This will be the Mavericks third straight road game where they split and just lost in OT Sunday at Miami (Power Play winner) 123-118. Dallas won both meetings last year but the Hawks won both the previous season. It’s the Hawks turn! Take ATLANTA!

Detroit at Indianapolis 1:00 ET

Colts (+) over Lions- Believe me this is not easy, writing up against the Lions that is. Unless something silly happens I believe that Detroit has the mojo and karma working to get to the Super Bowl, they certainly look like the best in the NFC right now with a minor threat for the Eagles. Thinking of the Colts it appeared that they gave up on the season and then decided to get into it as other teams with short comings and continued to lose (Jets, Bengals and Dolphins) and with the expended schedule and playoffs they are still alive at 5-6. Take INDIANAPOLIS!  

Dallas at Miami 6:00 ET

Heat (-) over Mavericks- Dallas has won and covered their last four games including a win Friday night at Denver 123-120 as a 5-point underdog. The Mavericks had lost and failed to cover any of their four previous games be fore their current win streak. Miami has had six days to rest after a win over the 76ers Monday night. Dallas took both game last season but they have split the past 10 each winning and covering five wins apiece. The Heat’s Jimmy Butler is questionable while the Mavericks Luka Doncic is out and he leads the Nuggets in points, assists and rebounds, he will be missed. Take MIAMI!

Denver at Las Vegas 4:25 ET

Raiders (+) over Broncos- Raiders very shaky as injuries pile up and confidence is at a Vegas low. Greg Minshew (the turnover machine) once gin get the nod at QB but is aware that the hook can come at anytime. Denver has been a huge surprise and has already surpassed the Vegas win total of 5.5 while the failing Raiders will go under their win total for the third straight year. Now, that doesn’t mean that they can win or at least cover the number here as they have had their way with Denver in the past winning eight straight before this seasons defeat. Take LAS VEGAS!

Bears (+) over Vikings- Chicago was one of my two Sunday winners as a Power Play winner in a game that they should have won. But, isn’t that the story of the Chicago Bears, they do just enough to get beat even when they re playing one of their better games. They let the Packers off the hook and now they are confronted by the Vikings. Bears are 4-2 at home and could easily be 5-1 while the Vikings are 4-1 SU on the road and 3-2 ATS. The Windy City boys won the last meeting in Minnesota after five straight losses. Bears with confidence win here. Take CHICAGO!

Tampa Bay at New York Giants 1:00 ET

Giants (+) over Buccaneers- I can’t help it every time hear Giants’ quarterback Tommy Devito’s name I think of he Tommy Devito that sung with the Four Seasons and I remember he plays like Danny Devito the actor. New York really has no idea who they are trying to do but with the fans of New York and New Jersey cheering for their local boy the Jints will come up with a solid effort and get the money somehow! Take NEW YORK GIANTS!  

USC at UCLA 10:30 ET

Bruins (+) over Trojans- Don’t compare stats here because they will be one-sided and you might hesitate to make the wager that you should make. But, remember that this is a rivalry game and we are supposed to throw out the numbers...I hope so. UCLA was absolutely terrible the first half of the season but have come on to the point that they can beat USC who was supposed to rule the west. An outright loss at Michigan (GOY in September winner) exposed the Trojans and they have been nothing special since. Their win over the Huskies last weekend sets this up perfect. Take UCLA BRUINS!

Stanford at Santa Clara 10:00 ET

Broncos (+) over Cardinal- There is something really, really out of order here as 5-0 Stanford travels to Santa Clara who is 2-3 and this game is a virtual pick’em affair. The Broncos have split a pair of home games while this is the first road game for the Cardinal. The first college basketball road game of the season is always the toughest game of the season. SCU has won the past two meetings including last year at Stanford winning 89-77 as 7.5-point underdogs. They get the Hat-trick here. Take SANTA CLARA!

Golden State at San Antonio 10:00 ET

Spurs (+) over Warriors- Victor, Victor, Victor triple-doubles equal victories. Really he’s just a skinny kid and younger than Lew Alcindor is still just a 20 year old that is not allowed to drink in certain states. Golden State (12-3) is off to a quick start (nothing like the Cavs) but have returned to playing like a member of the NBA having lost two of their last three road games. Stephen Curry and Wembanyama both average 22.7 PPG with Curry shooting 48.9% and ‘The Alien’ shooting 47.2% from the field. Take SAN ANTONIO!

Alabama at Oklahoma 7:30 ET

Sooners (+) over Crimson Tide- Alabama is good and much better than most expert thought that they would be and Oklahoma is not so good and most thought they would be  contenders for the big title. The Sooners offense is dreadful and it has been just a harding hitting an opportunistic defense that has provided any wins at all. They have been outclassed by Tennessee and destroyed by South Carolina. But, hosting the Crimson Tide in Norman will be a special experience for both the Sooners and the Tide with the home squad being ready and giving an emotion filled effort. Rake OKLAHOMA!

Texas A&M at Auburn 7:30 ET

Tigers (+) over Aggies- Another contest that appears to be a one-side affair with A&M being the heavy. Auburn has failed in spots when they actually out played their opponents but late mistakes cost them wins both SU and more importantly to us ATS. The Aggies have a meeting with Texas next week and the coaching staff has already said we are not thinking about Texas while talking about Texas. A distracted visitor get clawed by the Tigers. Take AUBURN!

Texas Tech at Oklahoma State 3:30 ET

Cowboys (+) over Red Raiders- This is my toughest call of the day because of how bad Oklahoma State has been under Gundy who is not going bowling for the first time in 18 years. This is a shock to many in Stillwater as the Cowboys returned last year leading rusher. But, after a 3-0 start defeating Arkansas 39-31 injuries hit the club and they have dropped seven straight starting with 19-17 loss to Utah. Cowboys defense surrenders 499.5 YPG but the Red Raiders who have lost 3-of-4 don’t tackle anybody either. Last ditch effort by Pokes. Take OKLAHOMA STATE!

Colorado vs Kansas 3:30 ET

Jayhawks (+) over Buffaloes- Things happen in sports tat are difficult to explain..think of what the Mets did in baseball this summer. Starting June the were 9-games under .500 with no hope and a dismal outlook. Three months later they were in the playoffs. My point is once that mojo starts it is hard to turn back and the Jayhawks have the mojo. Now, the same could be said for Colorado with them having won eight straight games entering this contest. True they rebounded after looking weak against Nebraska but they didn’t have to pick themselves up off the floor after five straight one score losses and defeating a pair of undefeated conference leaders Iowa State and BYU. Take KANSAS!

SMU at Virginia 12:00 ET

Cavaliers (+) over Mustangs- SMU at 9-1 wishes it can only redo five field goals and no TD’s in their lone loss 18-15 to BYU. Sinc that Sept. 6 loss the Mustangs have reeled off seven straight wins scoring touchdowns and averaging 39.5 points a game. After getting manhandled at Notre Dame the Cavaliers has dropped 4-of-5 and welcome the Mustangs to Charlottesville first their first ever meeting. They can still get to a bowl with a win here or next time out against rival Virginia Tech. Take VIRGINIA!

Baylor vs Tennessee 9:30 ET

Volunteers (+) over Bears- Another clash among Top-20 ranked teams ate No. 11 Tennessee (5-0) and No. 13 Baylor(4-1) go at it in Nassau, Bahamas. Both clubs posted wins in their opening tournament matches as Baylor (Money Game winner) went double-overtime and defeated St. John’s 99-98 after trailing by 18 points and the Volunteers routed Virginia 64-42. The Vols have two key players sidelined and the Bears depth will be the difference. Take BAYLOR!

Purdue at Michigan State 8:00 ET

Boilermakers (+) over Spartans- I would think that when you opening the season with a 49-0 win be it over Indiana State you still have a positive outlook for the year. But, without a doubt this is the weakest Purdue football I have every witnessed and I have seen over 60 years of football viewing. Michigan State might be a bite better but they have dropped their last three games. Boilermakers know with Indiana up next this is their final real chance for a win...great effort tonight. Take PURDUE!

Brooklyn at Philadelphia 7:00 ET

76ers (-) over Nets- These two clubs started the season moving in opposite directions as Brooklyn was winning and covering the spread while Philadelphia without Embiid struggled. Well, water seeks its level and so does talent in the NBA as the Nets have dropped 5-of-7 and are now 6-9 whereas the 76ers have yet to recover and at 2-12 still have enough time (with Embiid) to make the play-in or even playoffs. Joel is back and even without him and limited service the Sixers will show big tonight. Take PHILADELPHIA!
