At 9 pm, our selection is on the Boise St Broncos minus the points over UNLV.  The Broncos will look to extend their win streak vs. the Rebels to 8 games this evening.  It's true that UNLV will be playing this game on their home court.  Unfortunately, they're a soft 20-37-2 ATS at home if they won their previous game.  Lay the points with Boise St.

At 9:00 pm, our selection is on the Arizona Wildcats minus the points over Stanford. The Cardinal upset Arizona, 88-79, as a 7.5-point home dog last month.  We'll take Arizona to avenge that loss, as it's 36-25 ATS in conference games when playing with revenge from an upset road loss.  Lay the points.

At 8:30 pm, our selection is on the Norfolk St Spartans minus the points over Coppin St.  The Eagles have been horrid against the point spread this season, including 0-11 ATS when priced from +4.5 to +14.5 points.  That doesn't bode well for Coppin St. tonight.  Lay the points with the Spartans.

At 7:05 pm, our selection is on the New Jersey Devils over the Washington Capitals.  Although the Caps didn't completely disband their veteran team at the trade deadline, they lost several solid players that had been with them for some time.  In return, DC got what it is hoping are a valuable collection of future draft picks and that the roster will still be left with enough star power to perhaps ensure the it can be moderately competitive the rest of the way.  The Caps just returned from a west coast road trip in which they took two of three games.  Their 'reward' is having to play the best road team in the league upon their return to Washington tonight.  The Devils are an astonishing 23-4-4 away from New Jersey, a record that they themselves would be hard-pressed to explain.  That record, combined with the fact that the Caps are 1-5 in their last six here at Capital One Arena, may mean a long night for the home team.  New Jersey is 6-0 in its last six games vs. Metropolitan teams while the favorite is 42-14 in the last 56 meetings of these two clubs.  Take the Devils.  As always, good luck...Al McMordie.

At 6:30 pm, our selection is on the Western Kentucky Hilltoppers over Texas-El Paso.  The Hilltoppers managed to score just 33 points in their final regular season game.  We'll take Western Kentucky to bounce back tonight, as NCAA teams have covered 63.8% since 1990 after scoring less than 35 points in their previous game, provided they weren't getting 10+ points in their current game.  Take the Hilltoppers.

At 9:05 pm, our selection is on the Colorado Avalanche minus 1.5 goals over the San Jose Sharks.  The Sharks will be going for their second big road upset in a row tonight after knocking of the Jets in Winnipeg on Monday, 3-2, in overtime.  This, despite being completely out-played and out-shot by a lopsided 46 to 24 margin.  But doing that in Winnipeg against the struggling Jets (now 3-11 in their last 14) and doing it in Colorado against the defending Cup champions are two very different things.  Sure, the Avs have lost three straight, but those have come against the likes of the Kraken, Stars and Devils.  So, they will no doubt look forward to stepping down in class tonight to take on the 18-33-12 Sharks -- a team they've dominated recently.  The Sharks are just 1-7 in the last eight meetings with the Avs and 5-16 in the last 21 here in Denver.  And even if it weren't the Avs they were facing, this is not a situation that does the Sharks any favors are they are 16-35 in their last 51 games playing without rest.  Finally, the favorite is 40-12 in the last 52 meetings of these two clubs.  Take Colorado minus 1.5 goals.  As always, good luck...Al McMordie.

At 7 pm, our selection is on the Notre Dame Fighting Irish + the points over Virginia Tech.  The Hokies come into this ACC tourney off a blowout win, 82-60, over Florida St.  Meanwhile, the Irish were blown out, 87-64, by Clemson, on Saturday.  We'll grab the points with Notre Dame, as ACC teams off a loss by 15+ points have covered 66% in the post-season since 1990 vs. foes off a win by 15+ points.  Take Notre Dame.

At 6:30 pm, our selection is on the Texas A&M Corpus Christi Islanders minus the points over McNeese St.  The Cowboys upset Nicholls St., 77-71, last night.  And that was McNeese's 2nd straight upset win.  Unfortunately, the Cowboys now have to take on the #1-seeded Islanders tonight.  And Corpus Christi already defeated McNeese twice in the regular season.  In the Conference Tourneys, since 1992, double-revenge-minded teams off back to back upset wins have covered just 39% vs. #1-seeded foes since 1992.  Take Corpus Christi.

At 9 pm, our selection is on the St Mary's Gaels minus the points over BYU.  The Cougars are a dreadful 16-42 ATS as an underdog at home, or on neutral courts.  That doesn't bode well for BYU tonight.  Nor does the fact that West Coast Conference tourney favorites of less than 13 points have gone 87-55 ATS.  Take St. Mary's minus the points.

At 8:30 pm, our selection is on the Charleston College Cougars minus the points over Towson.  The Cougars roll into this semifinal game on an 8-game win streak, including back to back blowout wins of 22 and 40 points.  Charleston has a solid 37-24 ATS record in the post season, while Towson is riding a 2-12 ATS record in the post-season.  And the Tigers have lost six straight semi-final matchups.  Lay the points with Charleston.

At 7:35 pm, our selection is on the Edmonton Oilers over the Buffalo Sabres.  It was a busy deadline season for the Oilers who pulled off three fairly major deals between Tuesday and Thursday.  On paper Edmonton improved its blue line with the acquisition of Mattias Ekholm from the Predators although you wouldn't know it based on Saturday's 7-5 loss at the hands of the Jets.  The Oilers look to bounce back from that one tonight in Buffalo against a Sabres team which has won five of its last six.  Jack Campbell faltered badly in goal once again in that Winnipeg loss so expect Stuart Skinner to be in net tonight for this one.  Although Campbell started the season as the #1 Edmonton netminder, Skinner is the #1 right now with Campbell having assumed the role of back-up.  Indeed, the Oilers have lost each of Campbell's last 5 starts, while the 24-year-old Skinner has been impressive recently with a 2-0 record and 2.51 GAA in his two starts this month.  And the Oilers are 4-1 in his last five starts, with the only loss to the other-worldly Boston Bruins.  The Oilers are 11-4 in their last 15 games vs. teams from the Atlantic Division and they're 40-17 in their last 57 after allowing five or more goals in their previous game.  Take Edmonton.  As always, good luck...Al McMordie.

At 7 pm, our selection is on the Louisiana Tech Bulldogs + the points over Florida Atlantic.  The Owls have had a great season, with a 27-3 record.  But this point spread is inflated after the Owls won their last three games by 40, 26 and 29 points.  The Owls are now laying double digits on the road vs. a team they only beat by 5 points at home (as an 11-point favorite) three weeks ago.  It's too big of a tariff, and especially against a foe which is 82-56 its last 138 when playing with revenge from a road loss.  Take the Bulldogs.

At 6 pm, our selection is on the Marshall Thundering Herd over Texas St.  The Herd had their 5-game win streak snapped at Old Dominion last week, when the Monarchs upset them, as a 2.5-point dog.  Marshall is 8-2 ATS off a point spread loss, and I look for it to blow out the Bobcats.  Lay the points.

At 7:30 pm, our selection is on the Abilene Christian Wildcats + the points over Sam Houston.  The Wildcats have lost each of their last four games SU/ATS, including a 77-62 defeat to these Bearkats on Feb 11.  We'll take Abilene to avenge that loss, as WAC Conference road teams, on an 0-3 SU/ATS losing streak, have covered 65% of games vs. conference foes since 1990, if they were playing with revenge from a loss earlier in the season.  Grab the points.

At 7 pm, our selection is on the Tulane Green Wave minus the points over East Carolina.  The Pirates and Green Wave are playing a rare home-and-home series.  The Pirates won Round 1 two days ago, with a 15-point home win.  We'll take Tulane at home in this rematch, as it's 10-1 ATS off a road defeat, while ECU is a poor 15-47 ATS off a double-digit win, when matched up against .700 (or worse) conference foes.  Take Tulane.

At 2 pm, our selection is on the Monmouth Hawks over the Hampton Pirates.  Neither of these teams were able to win 30% of their games this season.  Monmouth was 6-25, while Hampton was 8-23.  The Hawks will play this afternoon's game with double-revenge from losses on Feb 23, at Hampton (86-81), and on Jan 21 (83-66).  We'll take Monmouth, as Colonial Athletic Ass'n teams with a losing record have covered just 36% in the conference tourney vs. foes they defeated twice in the regular season.  Take Monmouth.

At 7:05 pm, our selection is on the Tampa Bay Lightning over the Pittsburgh Penguins.  Compared with other contenders in the East -- the Maple Leafs and Rangers in particular -- the Lightning have been relatively quiet on the trade block approaching the deadline.  They did just make a deal and created some cap space by moving Vladislav Namestnikov to the Sharks, so another move may follow.  But for now it's business as usual on the ice and that means avenging an ugly loss to the Pens in Pittsburgh just four days ago.  The Penguins embarrassed the Bolts, 7-3 and then Tampa followed that up with a lackluster performance at home against the Panthers.  They'll regroup tonight for the Pittsburgh rematch in a much better environment than the meeting on Sunday.  The Bolts are 5-2 in the last seven meetings with the Pens here at Amalie Arena.  The Pens are .500 overall, but just 3-12 in their last 15 games vs. teams with a winning record.  They're also 3-12 in their last 15 against the Eastern Conference.  Take Pittsburgh.  As always, good luck...Al McMordie.

At 7:40 pm, our selection is on the Philadelphia 76ers minus the points over Miami.  These two teams met two days ago in the City of Brotherly Love, and Miami upset Philly, 101-99.  We'll lay the points with the Sixers in South Beach, as the Heat are 15-34-3 ATS at home vs. revenge-minded foes off a SU loss.  Take Philly.

At 7 pm, our selection is on the American Eagles minus the points over Bucknell.  The Eagles finished the regular season with a 15-14 record, while the Bison were 12-19.  It's true that the Eagles were blown out by the Bison, 73-51, in the previous meeting.  But we'll lay the points with American in this Patriot League tourney game, as revenge-minded teams that lost the previous meeting by 15+ points have gone 16-4 ATS in the Patriot League Tournament. At 3:35 pm, our selection is on the Winnipeg Jets over the New York Islanders.  In a move that should bolster their offense, the Jets acquired winger Nino Niederreiter on Saurday from the Predators in exchange for a 2024 2nd round draft pick.  It's an offense that's managed just one goal in each of its last two games and it could certainly use a talent like the 30-year-old Niederreiter who should be available for his Winnipeg debut this afternoon.  The Jets likely aren't done either when it comes to improving the team as the trading deadline and post-season quickly approach.  This afternoon they will entertain an Islander team that made an early acquisition when it acquired Bo Horvat from the Canucks back on January 30.  Although Horvat has made an early impact, the Isles are still just 3-5 in their last eight games and have fallen below the .500 mark as a result.  Winnipeg was blasted at home by the Avs, 5-1 in its last but the Jets are 9-1 in their last 10 following a home loss of three or more goals.  New York is 1-5 in its last six vs. Central Division teams.  Take the Jets.  As always, good luck...Al McMordie
