Carolina Hurricanes. Momentum plays a big part in hockey. Right now, Carolina has momentum, winning the last two games of this series. Being a Las Vegan for 36 years, I am well aware how good the Vegas Golden Knights are, particularly at home. However, the Carolina Hurricanes are one of the best road teams in all of the NHL. Not only that, but this team does not rattle. They have been down several times in this series, and have come back to win. They have also taken three of the last five overall meetings at “The Fortress” going back to February 2024. Please understand, the last time they dropped a game in this series was in Las Vegas. That was the first road game they dropped this postseason. Believe me when I tell you, that won’t happen again. They know how tough it is to play at the T-Mobile Arena. But like I said earlier, this team does not rattle. You may not realize this, but the Vegas Golden Knights have now dropped three of their last four games. This team has not seen too much adversity since their new coach took over the reins. I don’t think they have what it takes to prevail here. To make matters worse, and put even more pressure upon them, John Tortorello is throwing down the gauntlet guaranteeing the Golden Knights will be back in Carolina for game seven of the Stanley Cup Finals. So basically, he’s guaranteeing a win in this game. That’s a lot of pressure to put on some guys that, let’s face it, have made it thus far with smoke and mirrors. Just in this series alone, they have allowed a combined 21 goals scored. Carolina just has too much for Vegas. Take the Hurricanes. Thank you. |

Carolina Hurricanes. Momentum plays a big part of the postseason. Winning game two in overtime the way they did, I feel Carolina will ride that momentum into game three and come out victorious here on the road. Please remember this is one of the best overall road teams in the NHL. Not only that, but they are 6-0 on road games this postseason alone. They have taken two of the last three meetings at “The Fortress” going back to February 2024. I feel the Vegas Golden Knights are extremely good team with a very good coach. But this is a team that hasn’t faced too much adversity in this year’s playoffs. I don’t think they are built to bounce back here in a big way. Both in goals scored and goals against, Carolina is a little bit better. Take the Hurricanes. Thank you. |

| 05-24-26 | Avalanche -140 v. Golden Knights | 3-5 | Loss | -140 | 10 h 46 m | Show | |
Colorado Avalanche. Colorado hasn’t lost too many contests this season. And coming into this round, they really ran through their first two opponents in the postseason. Not many expected Vegas to win in Colorado, let alone take both games played there in this series. Please take note though, I feel the Vegas Golden Knights are in for a big letdown here tonight as they have been playing at such a high level. Please also take note, the Avalanche are one of the best road teams in the NHL, going 32-8-5 as a visitor this season. As a matter of fact, they have taken the last two meetings at “The Fortress” this season, back on October 31 and December 27. This is a very good, talented, and deep team. There’s no way they’re gonna’ go down in the series without a fight. Take Colorado. Thank you. |

| 05-23-26 | Canadiens +1.5 v. Hurricanes | 2-3 | Win | 100 | 9 h 46 m | Show | |

Montreal Canadiens on the PUCK LINE. My friends, the Carolina Hurricanes are a monster team. They rank second in scoring and fifth in goals against. They entered this round, sweeping the first two series of this postseason against Ottawa and Philadelphia. However, at home on Thursday night, they were taken down by the visitor here, 6-2. People keep forgetting Montreal is one of the better road teams in the NHL, going 7-2 just in this year’s playoffs. Add to the mix. they were 31-10-9 during the regular season away from home, and this is a very solid road team. My friends, Superman had kryptonite, and the Hurricanes have the Canadiens. Montreal has prevailed in five consecutive meetings with Carolina, which does include all three games played as a guest during that span. Take the Canadiens on the puck line. Thank you. |

| 05-20-26 | Golden Knights v. Avalanche -179 | 4-2 | Loss | -179 | 10 h 35 m | Show | |
Avalanche. While I think my hometown Vegas Golden Knights are a good team. I believe they are outclassed in this round. Going back a bit, Colorado has taken four of the last five meetings with the Vegas Golden Knights. However, oddly enough, their last home loss came at the hands of the Vegas Golden Knights back on April 11. This is a team in Colorado that has not dropped a home game this postseason going a perfect 5-0 on their own ice in this year‘s playoffs. I feel the Golden Knights lose a little luster when they travel. I also feel that playing opponents like Utah and Anaheim, will not prepare them for this series. The Avalanche happen to be one of the best home teams in the NHL, and statistically, ranked No. 1 in scoring and No. 1 in goals against. As a matter of fact, they score almost a half a goal a goal more than the Vegas Golden Knights, while yielding more than a half a goal less. This is a very good team. Their goal this season was to Win the Stanley Cup. And the only thing standing in their way from that series is the VGK. Take the Colorado Avalanche. Thank you. |
| 05-16-26 | Sabres +151 v. Canadiens | 8-3 | Win | 151 | 10 h 19 m | Show | |
Buffalo Sabres. Icebreaker play. Game 43. 5:00 PM PST/8:00 PM EST. Faced with elimination, I feel the Sabres come up big here tonight, even out the series, and force a game seven. They have played well on the road in this rivalry, taking two of the last three meetings, going back too late-January. As a matter of fact, during this post season, they are 4-1 as a visitor. Going back a little further they have won six of their last seven games played away from home. While I think Montreal is a good team, they have struggled a bit when playing host, dropping three of their last four games played on their own ice. They are just 2-3 at home during this playoff season. Desperation is a great motivator and right now, Buffalo is desperate to even out this series and force a deciding, game seven. They match up well here and are a very good road team as I mentioned earlier, possessing an overall away record this season of 28-14-4. I think they come up big here tonight. Take the Sabres. Thank you. |
| 05-14-26 | Canadiens +107 v. Sabres | 6-3 | Win | 107 | 7 h 23 m | Show | |
Montreal Canadiens. Icebreaker. Game 37. 4:00 PM PST/7:00 PM EST. Montreal is one of the better road teams in the NHL, going 28-10-9 as a visitor this season. Going back a bit, they’ve also taken two of the last three games played in Buffalo, which does include Friday’s 5-1 victory. With this series deadlocked at two games apiece, I see the Canadiens bouncing back following a heartbreaking 3-2 loss on Tuesday. This is a team, lately at least, that has been paying stellar defense and goaltending. This will be a key factor tonight in winning. On paper, they may score just a touch less and allow just to touch more than the home team. But hockey isn’t played on paper. Take Montreal. Thank you. |
| 05-11-26 | Avalanche -135 v. Wild | 5-2 | Win | 100 | 10 h 13 m | Show | |
Colorado Avalanche. Icebreaker play. Game 27. 5:00 PM PST/8:00 PM EST. Colorado dominated the first two games of this series at home, outscoring Minnesota by a combined 14-8. Yes, they took it on the road for Game 3 and were embarrassed, 5-1. No matter how you slice it it, the Avalanche still top the league, both in scoring and in goals against. Coming off an embarrassing loss in the last contest, will further motivate this team. Throw into the mix, they do not want this series to even out. I do feel the visitor will come out and be victorious. Prior to Saturday’s defeat, Colorado won both road games played this postseason. Going back a bit, they have won 10 straight games played away from home. This is a team that not just wins at home, they are one of the best road teams in the NHL, as well. While, I think the Wild are a good team, I do think they come back down to Earth and we’re gonna’ see them play like they did in the first two games of this series. Take the Avalanche. Thank you. |
| 05-09-26 | Avalanche -128 v. Wild | 1-5 | Loss | -128 | 10 h 20 m | Show | |
Avalanche. Colorado has dominated Minnesota, not just in this series, but going back a bit. They have taken four of the last five meetings this season in this rivalry, which does include the first two games of this round. You cannot deny the hot run of the Avalanche, which is riding a nine-game hot streak. Their offense is absolutely exploding while their defense has kept eight of their last nine opponents two or less goals scored. They are one of the best road teams I can recall in the last several years in the NHL, sporting a 31-7-5 away record. Minnesota has split out their last 10 games and has been the definition of erratic. They don’t score as much as their opponent and allow more. Very simply Colorado is a better team. Take the Avalanche. Thank you. |
| 05-09-26 | Hurricanes -188 v. Flyers | Top | 3-2 | Win | 100 | 7 h 21 m | Show |
Hurricanes. No, it’s not easy to sweep a team in the playoffs in this day and age. But it truly looks like Carolina will sweep Philadelphia in this round. In the first three meetings of this series, they have outscored their opponent by a combined 10-3. If you recall, in the last round, the Hurricanes swept the Senators in four games as well, outscoring them by a combined 11-5. Going back a bit, this team has won six of their last seven games played as a visitor. It just seems like they are turning up the heat right now, and playing some of the best hockey of the season. Meanwhile, believe it or not Philadelphia has lost five of their list six games. Their defense seems to be overworked and fatigue. This game gets ugly. Take Carolina. Thank you. |
| 05-06-26 | Ducks v. Golden Knights -156 | 3-1 | Loss | -156 | 10 h 59 m | Show | |
Vegas Golden Knights. BACK OF THE NET. Game 8. 6:30 PM PST/9:30 PM EST. The Vegas Golden Knights did have trouble with the Anaheim Ducks during this regular season. But I think we can all agree, the regular season is much different than the postseason. VGK has the luxury of playing at home in front of their loud, loyal fanbase. We all know the Ducks have problems on the road where they are three-games under .500 this season. With the Game 1 victory on Monday, the Golden Knights have now prevailed in four consecutive and 12 of their last 15 overall contests. Ever since the new coach arrived, the team seems to have started to surge. I expect them to get another big victory at home tonight, and take a two-game lead before going on the road to Anaheim. The Vegas Golden Knights. Thank you. |
| 05-06-26 | Canadiens +117 v. Sabres | 2-4 | Loss | -100 | 7 h 23 m | Show | |
Montreal Canadiens. Icebreaker play. Game 5. 4:00 PM PST/7:00 PM EST. Montreal comes into this series, knowing they are one of the best road teams in the NHL. They possess an away record of 27-9-9. With all respect to Buffalo, they’ve struggled at home recently dropping three of their last four games played on their own ice. They did have two extra days to rest and prepare for this round. However, I think this will work as a disadvantage. They might come in here a little rusty and psychologically, know that they’ve had problems at home. I’m not going to argue the fact the Sabres on both sides of the ice possess some better numbers. But come the postseason, momentum and confidence plays a big part. And right now, the Canadiens have the momentum and the confidence to come in here and win. Take Montreal. Thank you. |
| 05-03-26 | Wild v. Avalanche -185 | 6-9 | Win | 100 | 10 h 16 m | Show | |
Colorado Avalanche. BACK OF THE NET. Game 78. 6:00 PMK PST/9:00 PM EST. It’s true, these two teams have played each other very tough this season. However, Minnesota comes off a grueling, six-game series in which only ended a few days ago. Colorado has not dropped a game since April 11, winning eighth straight, and disbursed of Los Angeles in a four-game sweep. They have had four extra days to rest, heal, and prepare. By the way, over their last 10 outings, the Avalanche has yielded two or less goals nine times. Take Colorado. Thank you. |
| 05-03-26 | Canadiens +1.5 v. Lightning | 2-1 | Win | 100 | 7 h 10 m | Show | |
Montreal Canadiens on the PUCK LINE +1.5. ICEBREAKER. Game 65. 5:00 PM PST/8:00 PM EST. Each of the matchups in this series has been decided by one goal. Not only that, but these two teams have alternated wins in this round. I feel the Canadiens will bounce back here, and once again this game could go either way, my friends. But taking one and a half goals is a gift. Take Montreal. Thank you. |
| 05-01-26 | Sabres -112 v. Bruins | 4-1 | Win | 100 | 10 h 43 m | Show | |
Buffalo Sabres. ICEBREAKER. Game 47. 4:30 PM PST/7:30 PM EST. One more victory and the Buffalo Sabres go onto the next round. They have taken both games of this series in Boston, and going back a bit, they have won four straight games played as a visitor. It’s true, that Sabres are one of the better road teams in the NHL, sporting a 26-13-4 away record. It is also true the team is getting a lot of ink pertaining to their lack of playoffs experience. Yes, 11 players on this roster have never been to the postseason prior to this year. But I feel that’s working in their favor as they are not afraid or intimidated by playing a playoff series. They certainly come in here hotter, winning seven of their last 10 outings. Offensively, in six of those last game, they have accounted for four or more goals. Meanwhile, their defense and goaltending have been stellar, yielding three or less goals in nine of their last 10 contests. Meanwhile, the Bruins are just 4-6 their last 10 outings, with an offense that has come very short of the mark, as a team overall, that has dropped three of their last four games played on their own ice. Buffalo will not allow this team to even the series, and finish out this round one rivalry tonight. By the way, they have outscored Boston on the road this series by a combined 9-2. Take the Sabres. Thank you. |
| 04-30-26 | Stars v. Wild -120 | 2-5 | Win | 100 | 8 h 14 m | Show | |
Minnesota Wild. ICEBREAKER. Game 42. 4:30 PM PST/7:30 PM EST. Minnesota has come out strong and taking the last two games of this series. While I do feel these two teams are evenly matched, there is no denying the Wild have had their way with the Stars on their own ice. They have taken four of the last five meetings in this rivalry at the Grand Casino Arena. It’s not just the fact that they’re hotter and looking to finish out this series at home, overall, this team has played some great defense. I just feel the road team doesn’t have what it takes to go over the top and even out this round. Take Minnesota. Thank you. |
| 04-30-26 | Stars v. Wild OVER 5.5 | 2-5 | Win | 100 | 8 h 11 m | Show | |
Over 5.5 STARS/WILD. BACK OF THE NET PLAY. Games 41/42. 4:30 PM PST/7:30 PM EST. It’s no secret that both Dallas and Minnesota play the majority of their games to over the total. As a matter of fact, these two teams have combined to play 92 overs this season. Seven of the last nine overall matchups in this rivalry have gone over the total, which includes four of five contests in this series alone. On the season both teams account for approximately 3.3 goals per game. As this being do or die for one team and another team looking to end the series, I feel this will be one of the most competitive matchups we have seen. Therefore, we’re going over the total. Thank you. |
| 04-25-26 | Penguins v. Flyers -113 | 4-2 | Loss | -113 | 10 h 59 m | Show | |
Philadelphia Flyers. SMASH PLAY. Game 12. 5:00 PM PST/8:00 PM EST. What has happened to the Pittsburgh Penguins? They have dropped six in a row, and seven of their last 10 outings. This includes three straight away games, and four of the last five overall games played on the road. During their current six-games slide, they have accounted for a combined 12 goals while yielding a total of 27 goals. Meanwhile, the Philadelphia Phillies are surging. We all know they’ve taken the first three games of this series. But going back a bit, they have won six consecutive contests, and nine of their last 10 overall games. This includes four straight victories on their own ice. Their offense is getting it done with authority, while their defense and goaltending have allowed a combined 18 goals in their last 10 outings, averaging just 1.8 goals against per game. I don’t think this team will take their foot off the break here as they want to finish out this series in front of their hometown fans and go into the next series a bit rested. Take the Flyers. Thank you. |
| 04-25-26 | Hurricanes -121 v. Senators | 4-2 | Win | 100 | 5 h 52 m | Show | |
Carolina Hurricanes. Game 7. 12:00 PM PST/3:00 PM EST. Carolina has taken all three meetings in this series. They have outscored Ottawa by a combined 7-3. Going back a bit, they have dominated this rivalry prevailing in seven of the last 10 overall matchups. They come into this game red hot, winning four in a row, seven of their last eight, and eight of the last 10 contests. This includes four of their last five games played on the road. Over the last seven outings, their defense and goaltending have been superb, yielding more than two goals just one time (3). Let’s not forget this is one of the better road teams in the NHL. They seem to have the Senators number. Statistically, they score a little bit more than their opponent and allow a little bit less. They have momentum, they don’t want to let Ottawa back into the series, and they want to go into the next round, well- rested. Take Carolina. Thank you. |
| 04-21-26 | Utah Mammoth v. Golden Knights -148 | 3-2 | Loss | -148 | 12 h 41 m | Show | |
Vegas Golden Knights. NHL MM play. Game 56. 6:30 PM PST/9:30 PM EST. Game 2’s are usually tricky. The series-opener saw Vegas trailing through the first two periods before they exploded for three goals in the third period. I feel the Vegas Golden Knights will ride that momentum here into the second game of this series. This is the team that’s running red hot, winning four in a row, and eight of their last nine overall contests. This includes five straight at “The Fortress.” I think we can all agree, VGK is a bit stronger at home than they are when they travel. So, they want to make sure they are up two games to none before going to Utah. The Mammoth are a good team. But they lose a little luster when they travel, and coming into today’s matchup, they’ve dropped four of their last five overall, which does include both games played as a visitor during that span. I’m going to ride the momentum with the Vegas here. Thank you. |
| 04-21-26 | Canadiens +1.5 v. Lightning | 2-3 | Win | 100 | 9 h 4 m | Show | |
Montreal Canadiens on the PUCKLINE +1.5. I had the Canadiens in Game 1 of this series on the puck line, and they won the game outright. These two teams match up very well, and momentum from the regular season, does play a big part of the postseason. Without question, Montreal has the momentum here. They enter this contest with confidence knowing they have taken three in a row against the Lightning. This is a team that has prevailed in 12 of their last 15 overall games, which does include seven victories over their last eight games played as a visitor. Meanwhile, Tampa Bay is definitely struggling, dropping two in a row, and five of their las seven outings. You cannot deny, nor ignore the way way these two teams are playing. I think the visitor can win the game outright. But just to err on the side of caution, take the Canadiens on the puck line. Thank you. |
| 04-20-26 | Senators v. Hurricanes -145 | 2-3 | Win | 100 | 8 h 22 m | Show | |
Carolina Hurricanes, 1st RD GOM. Game 46. 4:30 PM PST/7:30 PM EST. The Metropolitan Divisions, top team, may have taken Game 1 of this series by a score of 2-0. But they dominated from start-to-finish in the opening contest. They have taken three of four meetings with Ottawa this season, which does include both meetings, played on their own ice. Speaking of the Senators, they are a good team. They do lose a little luster when they travel, sporting a 21-16-5 road record. As a matter of fact, they have dropped three of their last four games played as a visitor. They do possess some solid statistics. But I feel they are truly outmatched and outclassed here in this Rd 1 series. The Hurricanes rank second in the NHL in scoring, averaging over 3.5 goals per game, and fifth in goals against, yielding just 2.9 GPG. This is a solid, deep, experienced team, and they will win here again tonight. Take Carolina. Thank you. |
| 04-19-26 | Canadiens +1.5 v. Lightning | Top | 4-3 | Win | 100 | 7 h 5 m | Show |
Montreal Canadiens +1.5 goals. I feel this game and this series for that matter is going to be a lot more competitive than most people out there feel. Montreal enters this matchup with confidence knowing they took the last two meetings with Tampa Bay, and going back a bit, four of the last seven overall matchups. They come into today's game winning seven of their last ten outings, which does include five of their last six games played on the road. This team is not easily intimidated. Meanwhile, Tampa Bay is struggling, dropping four of their last six outings. Let's not forget the Canadiens are one of the better home teams in the NHL sporting a 24-9-8 away record. Both offensively and goaltending, these two squads’ numbers are very similar. I think this game will be very competitive, a lot closer than many people think. Take the Canadiens on the puck line. Thank you. |
| 04-19-26 | Kings v. Avalanche -1.5 | Top | 1-2 | Loss | -105 | 4 h 15 m | Show |
Colorado Avalanche -1.5 goals. Colorado has dominated Los Angeles, taking three straight, and six of the last seven meetings. Going back a bit, they have prevailed in eight of the last 10 overall matchups in this rivalry. The three meetings this season, (they took all three), they have outscored their opponent by a combined, 13-5. None of those games, were decided by a single goal. The Kings lost a little luster their last few games of the regular season dropping their final two games. They go up against one of the best home teams in the NHL, as the Avalanche are 26-9-6 when playing host in 2026. They come into this matchup red-hot winning three in a row, five of their last six, and seven of their last ten overall outings. Over their last eight games, their defense/goaltending, has allowed a combined 10 goals. Meanwhile, the visitor seems to be looking fatigued giving up a ton of goals, while playing inconsistently on the offensive end. Colorado accounts for almost a full goal more per game while yielding a half a goal less. By the way they rank #1 in the NHL, both in goals scored and goals against. Take the Avalanche. Thank you. |
| 04-18-26 | Wild v. Stars -119 | Top | 6-1 | Loss | -119 | 7 h 57 m | Show |
Stars. NHL is a very streaky sport. These two teams have faced one another four times this season with Minnesota taking two games and Dallas taking two games. However, the Wild won both games played on their own ice, while the Stars prevailed in both games played on their home ice. Having said that, Minnesota struggled down the stretch dropping three of their last four regular season games. By the way my friends, the three games they dropped were all played away from home. Meanwhile, Dallas enters the postseason one of the hottest teams in hockey, winning their last five games which includes three straight at home. No matter how you slice it, statistically both offenses are pretty similar. The difference you're gonna’ see in this game is on the defensive/goaltending side of the ice where the Stars are slightly better. Take Dallas at home. Thank you. |
| 04-13-26 | Sharks v. Predators -146 | 3-2 | Loss | -146 | 10 h 39 m | Show | |
Nashville Predators. The Predators are trailing the Kings by one-point for the second Wildcard spot in the West with two games remaining. They need this victory here tonight. They have started to surge, going 4-1-1 their last six games as they continue to impress. The Sharks are certainly improved from last season. They are still alive in the Wildcard race, but need to prevail in their final three games of the regular season, and on top of that need some help. However, they come into this game cold, not having a victory since April 6 (0-2-1 run). This team is a very streaky team, sports fans. When they win, and when they lose. And right now, they are losing. To say they have been dominated by today’s opponent, would be an understatement. San Jose has lost 10 consecutive meetings to Nashville, which does include both matchups this season, one on the road and one at home. I just feel the Sharks are happy with finishing better this season than they did last season, and come to this game with nothing to prove. I also feel they know they just can't beat the Predators. Take Nashville. Thank you. |
| 04-05-26 | Devils v. Canadiens -145 | 3-0 | Loss | -145 | 9 h 36 m | Show | |
Montreal Canadiens. The Canadiens are one of the best teams in the Atlantic while the Devils are one of the worst teams in the Metropolitan. Montreal is looking to catch Tampa Bay as they sit just two-points behind the Lightning in their Division. What better team to Face than New Jersey. It's no secret, prior to last night’s 4-3 victory over the Devils, the Canadiens have struggled in the rivalry. But they are a different team right now. As a matter of fact, Montreal is one of the hottest teams in hockey, winning eight in a row and nine of their last ten outings, which includes four consecutive games played on their own ice. It's no secret New Jersey is struggling. They have split out their last eight overall outings, and I feel things will get worse for the team here tonight. They rank 27th in the league in scoring and must go up against the NHL’s fifth-ranked scoring offense. I just feel they are overwhelmed, outmatched, and outclassed here tonight. Please understand the Canadians defense/goaltending has not allowed a single opponent to put up better than three goals since the middle of March. The same cannot be said for their opponent. Take Montreal. Thank you. |
| 04-05-26 | Hurricanes -122 v. Senators | 3-6 | Loss | -122 | 7 h 41 m | Show | |
Carolina Hurricanes. Carolina has taken both meetings with Ottawa this season, and going back a bit, six of the last eight overall matchups. They come into this game red-hot, winning three in a row and seven of their last nine outings. Meanwhile, the Senators are struggling, dropping four of their last five games. It's no secret Carolina is looking to extend their domination in the Metropolitan Division. They rank in the top-three in goals scored, shots on goal, and power plays. With all respect to Ottawa, they can score, but defensively there's a big difference as the Hurricanes defense/goaltending core ranks a little better, and recently has been an absolute nightmare for any opponent. Take the Hurricanes. Thank you. |
| 03-03-26 | Stars -130 v. Flames | 6-1 | Win | 100 | 9 h 13 m | Show | |
Dallas Stars. Hockey might be a cold weather sport. However, the Dallas Stars are running red hot winning nine straight games. This is a team possessing an explosive offense, and a very frustrating defense. They happen to be one of the better road teams in the NHL going 19-7-6 as a visitor this season, and are looking for a little payback. They have only met the Flames once this season back in the third week of November on the road, and lost in a shootout, 3-2. Speaking of the home team, they are ice cold dropping two in a row and seven of their last 10. This team just can't muster any offense, and because of that, their defense and goaltending is tired. Take the Stars. Thank you. |
| 03-03-26 | Utah Mammoth v. Capitals -115 | Top | 3-2 | Loss | -115 | 7 h 17 m | Show |
Washington Capitals. Playing on the road has been an issue for Utah where they are just 13-15-2 this season. Meanwhile, the opposite rings true for Washington playing at home as they sport a 19-10-3 mark. The Mammoth have dropped six of their last nine overall games which includes two of three games played on the road during that span while the Capitals have won six of their last nine overall outings, which does include winning all five games played on their own ice during that span. The visiting team has been erratic at best, and they must travel into Washington DC to face an opponent that has exploded offensively, while showing they can be very frustrating defensively. Take Washington. Thank you. |

| 03-02-26 | Stars -177 v. Canucks | Top | 6-1 | Win | 100 | 12 h 36 m | Show |
Dallas Stars. My friends, I know we're laying a little bit of juice here, but a win is a win is a win. And tonight, the Dallas Stars are a win. This is a team that is one of the hottest in the NHL winning eight consecutive outings, which does include all three games played as a visitor during that span. Their offense is exploding while their defense has been very frustrating to all opponents. Meanwhile, the Vancouver Canucks are ice cold (no pun intended) losing five in a row and eight of their last nine. Their offense is not existent and their defense/goaltending has been absolutely overwhelmed. The Stars took the only meeting this season back in the third week of November on the road 4-2. Overall, they come into this matchup with confidence knowing they have dominated the Canucks, taking five of the last seven meetings. Very simply, they account for almost one full goal per game more while yielding almost one full goal per game less. Take Dallas. Thank you. |
| 02-27-26 | Sabres +100 v. Panthers | 3-2 | Win | 100 | 9 h 56 m | Show | |
Buffalo Sabres. Florida is a good team, my friends. But when it comes to playing Buffalo, they have fallen a little short losing two of the last three games including the only contest played on their own ice during that span, their last matchup on February 2, 5-3. They have struggled a bit lately. Since the last week of January, they have dropped five of seven outings, which does include three of the five games played on their own ice during that span. Buffalo is getting back on track for sure. This is the team that owns a 22-7 record since the second week of December. Now I will admit, they have dropped three of their last five games themselves, but have played very well on the road taking six of their last seven games played as a visitor. I feel they have a better goaltender in the net, and have the luxury of knowing they score almost a half a goal more per game than Florida, and yield a little less per game on the defensive/goaltending side. Take the Sabres. Thank you. |
| 02-26-26 | Seattle Kraken +124 v. Blues | 1-5 | Loss | -100 | 7 h 60 m | Show | |
Kraken. My friends, I just don't understand why Seattle is an underdog in this matchup. They are a decent road team, have taken each of the last two meetings in this rivalry with St. Louis, and enter this matchup winning six of their last nine outings. The Blues are ice cold, dropping three in a row and eight of their last nine overall games, which does include three or four games played on their own ice during that span. In consecutive outings, they have yielded five, four, four, five, six, and five-goals. Ride a hotter team and fade a cold one. Take the Kraken. Thank you. |
| 02-26-26 | Devils v. Penguins -155 | 1-4 | Win | 100 | 6 h 5 m | Show | |
Penguins. My friends, the Pittsburgh Penguins are one of the best home teams in the NHL, sporting a 13-8-7 record on their own ice this season. They enter this matchup, winning seven of their last nine overall games. To say the New Jersey Devils have struggled, would be an understatement. They have dropped four in a row and six of their last seven coming into tonight's contest. This includes their first game back last night at home at the hands of the Buffalo Sabres, 2-1. As a matter of fact, over the last four games, all losses, they have mustered a combine three total goals scored, while getting plowed for over 12 goals. On both sides of the ice, the Penguins are significantly stronger, ranking fifth in goals scored. averaging over 3.4 GPG, while their defense/goaltending ranks 10th in the NHL, yielding just 2.9 GPG. Take Pittsburgh. Thank you. |
| 02-04-26 | Wild -122 v. Predators | 6-5 | Win | 100 | 9 h 53 m | Show | |
Minnesota Wild. I see momentum and revenge motivating the Minnesota Wild here. They enter this matchup winning four in a row and seven of their last nine contests, which does include three of four games played on the road during that span. They also get a chance to exact some revenge from the only meeting this season against the Nashville Predators, a December 23rd home loss in overtime, 3-2. Prior to that they took four of five matchups with Nashville. Speaking of the Predators, they may have won back-to-back games, but they are starting to feel the pressure, as prior to those two victories, they dropped five of six, which does include two of three games played at home during that span. There is no question right now the Wild are playing better hockey and certainly better defense. As a matter of fact, looking at their statistics on the season the visitor accounts for almost a half a goal more per game while yielding more than a half a goal less. Take Minnesota. Thank you. |
| 01-22-26 | Red Wings +129 v. Wild | Top | 3-4 | Loss | -100 | 8 h 6 m | Show |
Detroit Red Wings. PP. Game 63. 6:35 PM PST/9:35 PM EST. In my opinion, momentum plays a big part in the NHL. Right now, Detroit certainly has momentum winning three in a row and seven of their last eight outings which does include three of four road games played during that span. Not only that, but during that span, they have not allowed a single opponent to post better than three goals on them. Meanwhile, Minnesota is ice cold dropping six of their last nine overall contests, and have gotten absolutely steamrolled during that span, yielding three or more goals in eight of those last nine games. On paper, the Wild score a little bit more and allow a little bit less, but lately that is not the case. I see the Red Wings coming in here riding a hot run, and winning big. Take Detroit. Thank you. |
| 01-02-26 | Wild -125 v. Ducks | 5-2 | Win | 100 | 12 h 1 m | Show | |
Minnesota. Minnesota has dominated Anaheim taking six in a row and nine of the last 10 meetings in this rivalry. This includes the only matchup this season, a November 15 home victory, 2-0. They enter this game one of the better road teams in the NHL, going 11-6-2 away from home this season. They have won four of their last five as a visitor, my friends, and without question will frustrate the Ducks, with the third-best defending/goaltending units in hockey. They yield just 2.6 GPG while scoring over 3.1 GPG. Meanwhile, yes Anaheim ranks fourth in the NHL in scoring averaging 3.3 GPG, but dead last in goals against, getting plowed for over 3.5 GPG. They also enter tonight struggling, dropping four in a row and eight of their last 10 which does include three straight on their own ice. Take the Wild. Thank you. |
| 12-10-25 | Kings -145 v. Seattle Kraken | 2-3 | Loss | -145 | 13 h 49 m | Show | |
Los Angeles Kings. We all know hockey is a cold weather sport. But right now, there is no team in the NHL playing as cold as a Seattle Kraken, which have lost six consecutive games. During their current slide they have been outscored by a combined, 25-10. Meanwhile, the Los Angeles Kings are starting to heat up coming off back-to-back wins for the first time in over three weeks. They also enter this matchup a bit better rested having not taken the ice since Monday. Meanwhile, Seattle, which has lost four straight games played on their own ice, took a beating last night at the hands of Minnesota, 4-1, and will be fatigued here tonight They also ranked 32nd in the league in scoring, averaging just 2.5 goals per game. Things will go from bad to worse for this team here as they face one of the toughest defensive/goaltending squads in hockey. The Kings rank third in the league yielding just 2.5 GPG. I look for Los Angeles to extend their win streak, and continue their domination on the road this season. By the way, they are 10-2-4 as a visitor in 2025. |
| 12-05-25 | Capitals -137 v. Ducks | 3-4 | Loss | -137 | 13 h 40 m | Show | |
Washington Capitals. Washington will enter tonight's matchup with confidence knowing they have taken five consecutive meetings with Anaheim, which does include three straight on the road. They also come into this matchup overall, one of the hottest teams in the NHL, winning six in a row and nine of their last 10 outings, which does include all four road games played during that span. Meanwhile, Anaheim is struggling. They have split out their last 10 games, and playing at home hasn't given them too much of a benefit recently, dropping three of their last five games played on their own ice. Their defense is almost nonexistent, as they rank 21st in the league, allowing 3.2 GPG. Yes, it's true they own of the highest-scoring offenses in hockey, but their defense has been so bad, it has hurt them. Meanwhile, the Capitals during their current six-game hot streak, have outscored opponents by a combined 27-9. As a matter of fact, their defense/goaltending has been outstanding. They ranked second in the NHL, yielding just 2.5 GPG, while they also possess the second-best scoring offense, scoring over 3.5 GPG. |
| 11-20-25 | Stars -137 v. Canucks | 4-2 | Win | 100 | 11 h 39 m | Show | |
Overall, I am riding a 60% RUN in the NHL, and today we continue to MELT THE ICE with my coveted, NHL SLAPSHOT WINNER. This is my most popular and most profitable hockey release. Dallas Stars. SLAPSHOT play. Game 47. 7:05 PM PST/10:05 PM EST. I really can't figure out why Dallas isn't more of a favorite in this matchup. There are one of the best road teams in hockey, sporting a 6-1-2 road record against Vancouver's home mark of 3-5-1. They enter this matchup coming off their first defeat following a five-game win streak. By the way, they've won three straight as a visitor. I look for them to bounce back here against a struggling Canucks opponent. Vancouver has had an extra day to rest, but I don't think it's going to help as they have dropped four of their last five, and six of their last nine overall outings. This does include a 1-3 record on their own ice. The Stars score a little bit more offensively, and allow significantly less defensively. As a matter of fact, they ran ninth in the NHL in goals against, yielding just 2.8 GPG while the Canucks are getting plowed, giving up 3.7 GPG, which ranks them at 30th in the league. This game will get ugly. Take the visitor. Take Dallas. Thank you. |
| 11-20-25 | Seattle Kraken v. Blackhawks -112 | 3-2 | Loss | -112 | 9 h 43 m | Show | |
Chicago Blackhawks. LVSM play. Game 38. 5:05 PM PST/8:05 PM EST. It's true, Seattle has dominated Chicago, taking seven of the last 10 meetings. However, the Kraken are struggling a bit at the moment, dropping six of their last 10, and are really having problems away from home. There are just 3-4-2 as a visitor this season and must go into one of the toughest places to play, the United Center to face a very strong and surging Blackhawk's opponent. Chicago is 5-2-2 at home this season, and is currently riding a 5-1 overall hot streak. They have won back-to-back games at home, and rank in the top 10 both in scoring, and in goals against. I doubt very much the lackluster Seattle offense can keep pace on the scoreboard in this matchup. Take the Blackhawks. Thank you. |
| 11-20-25 | Islanders +115 v. Red Wings | 5-0 | Win | 115 | 8 h 47 m | Show | |
New York Islanders. Power Play. Game 31. 4:05 PM PST/7:05 PM EST. The Islanders are one of the better road teams in the NHL sporting a 7-4-1 away record, and enter this matchup with confidence knowing they took the only meeting this season against the Red Wings, a home victory back in October, by a score of 7-2. Both teams come off victories from a few nights ago. New York has been playing strong on this road trip winning five of six as a visitor, while Detroit has won back-to-back games including a home game over Seattle the other night by a score of 4-2, but overall, they have dropped five of their last nine outings. This does include three or four played at home. This young talented Islanders squad is playing strong at both ends of the ice, while the Red Wings are struggling a bit scoring less, and allowing more than their opponent here tonight. Take New York. Thank you. |
| 11-11-25 | Maple Leafs v. Bruins +120 | 3-5 | Win | 120 | 9 h 60 m | Show | |
Boston Bruins. Power Play. 52. 4:05 PM PST/7:05 PM EST. These two teams met just three nights ago in Toronto, as Boston prevailed, 5-3. Since then, the Maple Leafs then played the following night at the Hurricanes, and dropped that game as well, 5-4. This is a team that struggles when traveling, going just 1-3 on the road thus far this season. Meanwhile, the Bruins are streaking, riding a six-game win streak. They have not taken the ice since Saturday's victory against tonight's opponent. They are one of the better home teams in the league as well, sporting a 7-3 mark on their own ice in 2025. I think the line is a little off here, my friends. Maybe the oddsmakers set it due to Boston possibly being without a couple of their centers (check status). However, I want you to know this team scores 3.2 GPG. During their current hot streak, they have outscored opponents by a combined, 23-15. I am aware Toronto possesses is the fifth-best scoring team in the NHL, but they rank 31st in goals against, getting steamrolled for over 3.8 GPG. Ride a hot team at home, especially one that comes in with confidence, knowing they just took down the visitor in the matchup a few nights before. Take Boston. Thank you. |
| 11-11-25 | Capitals v. Hurricanes -155 | 4-1 | Loss | -155 | 9 h 55 m | Show | |
Carolina Hurricanes. LVSM play. Game 56. 4:05 PM PST/7:05 PM EST. It's true, statistically, the Washington Capitals possess the number one ranked goaltending core in the NHL, yielding just 2.4 GPG. But (there's always a but), but this team is ice cold. They've dropped two in a row, and six of their last seven outings, which does include all three games played on the road during that span. To say they have been dominated in this rivalry, would be an understatement. Washington has lost the last three meetings with Carolina, and overall, seven of the last 10 matchups. Speaking of the Hurricanes, they are red hot, winning four in a row, and sporting a very respectful home record of 5-1 on the campaign. They score more than their opponent. Actually, they account for 1.0 more goals per game than the visitor here. They too, possess a very good goaltending core, ranking ninth, and yielding just 2.8 GPG. They're running hotter, have dominated this rivalry, and are playing at home. Take Carolina. Thank you. |
| 11-07-25 | Wild v. Islanders -142 | 5-2 | Loss | -142 | 9 h 40 m | Show | |
New York Islanders. No Limit play. Game 60. 4:05 PM PST/7:05 PM EST. Playing back-to-back nights is not easy for any hockey team. For the Minnesota Wild, they are 0-3 in that situation this season. They played last night on the road at the Carolina Hurricanes, losing 4-3. They are not the greatest road team my friends, going just 2-4-1 away from home this season. It's true, they did dominate this series for several years before last April when New York took a home matchup against them, 3-1. Speaking of the Islanders, they've had a couple of days to rest for this game tonight. They did come off a loss at home against the Bruins, but prior to that won their last two outings. They are 4-2-1 at home this season, and are significantly stronger offensively, and face the 29th ranked goaltending/defense in the league getting plowed for over 3.6 goals per game. Take New York. Thank you. |
| 11-06-25 | Ducks +160 v. Stars | 7-5 | Win | 160 | 7 h 3 m | Show | |
Anaheim Ducks. Game 49. 5:05 PM PST/8:05 PM EST. Both teams come off November 4 victories. However, for Anaheim, it was their fourth straight and sixth win in the last seven outings, while for Dallas, it was their first victory following back-to-back losses. Yes, the Stars took the most recent meeting back in March a season ago, but the Ducks took the two previous meetings before that in November and February. Coming into tonight's matchup, Anaheim possesses the NHL's top-scoring offense, averaging over 3.9 GPG. Unfortunately for Dallas, they rank 26th in scoring, averaging just 2.7 GPG. Granted, they allow slightly less goals per game, but I just think the Ducks are surging, riding momentum, and possessing an offense that is absolutely explosive and becoming more and more explosive with each game. Take Anaheim. Thank you. |
| 11-06-25 | Flyers +110 v. Predators | Top | 3-1 | Win | 110 | 7 h 59 m | Show |
Philadelphia Flyers. Game 51. 5:05 PM PST/8:05 PM EST. Guys, I feel the wrong team is favored in this matchup tonight. Philadelphia has taken the last three meetings in this rivalry, including the only one this season on October 30 at home. They enter tonight's matchup, off a road victory over Montreal. Meanwhile, Nashville has dropped their last two outings, and five of their last six overall, which does include three straight on their own ice. The Flyers rank 26th in scoring, averaging just 2.7 GPG. But believe it or not, the Predators rank 29th, accounting for just 2.5 GPG. It is on the defensive side of the ice in which this game will be won. Philly owns a very frustrating defense/goaltending squad, ranking eighth in goals against, a mere 2.7 GPG, while Nashville ranks 27th, getting steamrolled for over 3.4 GPG. As I mentioned earlier, the wrong team is favored. Take the Flyers. Thank you. |
| 11-05-25 | Blue Jackets +101 v. Flames | Top | 1-5 | Loss | -100 | 9 h 51 m | Show |
Columbus Blue Jackets. Power Play. Game 33. 6:35 PM PST/9:35 PM EST. It's true, Calgary has taken six of the last 10 overall meetings against Columbus. However, the Blue Jackets have won three of the last four most recent matchups, and four of the last six. They also come in here off their first loss following a four-game winning streak. Meanwhile, the Flames come off their first victory following a three-game slide. As a matter of fact, this team is only 2-8 their last 10 overall games. They've only have one victory at home this season, compare that to the Blue Jackets 4-2 away record. Looking at their statistics, the visitor has been more consistent and more reliable. As a matter of fact, Columbus accounts are 1.2 more goals scored per game, and yields .4 less goals per game. Takes the Blue Jackets. Thank you. |
| 11-01-25 | Maple Leafs v. Flyers +112 | 5-2 | Loss | -100 | 8 h 10 m | Show | |
Philadelphia Flyers. Game 40. 4:05 PM PST/7:05 PM EST. I think the line is way off in this matchup, my friends. It's true, Toronto has had their way with Philadelphia, taking nine of the last 10 meetings. But this is a new season, and a new Flyers team. They come into this contest winning three in a row, and five of their last six, sporting a home record, one of the best in the NHL, of 6-1. As a matter of fact, they have won five straight games played on their own ice. The Maple Leafs are winless on the road, going 0-3 away from home this season, and are certainly getting steamrolled on the defensive/goaltending se, getting devoured for over 3.6 GPG. Maybe the Flyers offense isn't so impressive, but they rank second in the NHL in goals against, yielding just 2.4 GPG. That will be the difference in this matchup. Let's not forget revenge is a dish best served cold, and Philly is looking for revenge from the last few years of domination by their opponent. Take the Flyers. Thank you. |
| 11-01-25 | Blues v. Blue Jackets -138 | Top | 2-3 | Win | 100 | 8 h 5 m | Show |
***9-2 in 2025 NHL POWER PLAYS***That’s right, my NHL POWER PLAYS are 81.8% this season so far and tonight we win again with another POWER PLAY WINNER! Columbus Blue Jackets. Game 46. 4:05 PM PST/7:05 PM EST. St. Louis has had struggles against Columbus for sure, losing four consecutive meetings in this rivalry. But I think their issues run a little deeper than that. They have not won a single game since October 18, going six straight outings without a victory. This does include both games played on the road during that span. Meanwhile, the Blue Jackets are running hot, winning three in a row, and five of their last six outings, and had an extra day off to rest and prepare for this game. Both offensively and defensively they are far superior, accounting for more goals per game, and yielding significantly less GPG. As a matter fact St. Louis ranks 31st in goals against, yielding over 4.3 GPG, while Columbus allows just 3.1 GPG. The Blue Jackets continue to dominate. Take Columbus. Thank you. |
| 11-01-25 | Avalanche -1.5 v. Sharks | 2-3 | Loss | -100 | 5 h 15 m | Show | |
Colorado Avalanche on the PUCK LINE. Game 35. 1:05 PM PST/4:05 PM EST. Going back three years, Colorado has won all 10 matchups with San Jose. They come into tonight's game with momentum, following their second win in back-to-back games, a road victory last night over the Vegas Golden Knights. They are playing very strong hockey. The home team is definitely struggling. They have just one victory on their own ice this season. They rank in the middle of the pack in scoring, averaging 3.4 GPG. But they are dead last in the NHL in goals against, getting plowed over 4.4 GPG. This does not bode well as the Avalanche possess the #2 scoring offense in hockey, lighting up scoreboards for over 3.8 GPG, and top the NHL in shots on goal (33.8). That would be enough for me here, my friends, but they also possess a top-five defense/goaltending unit. I just don't see the home team keeping this game close. This game will get out of hand. Take Colorado on the puck line. Thank you. |
| 10-28-25 | Utah Mammoth +133 v. Oilers | Top | 3-6 | Loss | -100 | 11 h 51 m | Show |
Utah Mammoth. PP. Game 71. 6:35 PM PST/9:35 PM EST. I just don't understand the line in this matchup, my friends. Yes, the Oilers have won all three meetings over the last year against the Mammoth. And yes, they are 2-0-1 at home this season. But they also come into tonight's matchup losing their last two outings, and overall, five of their last seven contests. The rank 21st in scoring, putting up 2.9 GPG, while ranking 16th in goals against, yielding 3.0 GPG. Well folks, here comes Utah, who are on a seven-game win streak. During that span they have won all three games played as a visitor, and overall, during their hot trek have scored opponents by a combined, 32-17. Very quietly, the Mammoths are doing it on both sides of the ice, ranking second in the NHL scoring, posting over 3.8 GPG, while ranking seventh in goals against, allowing opponents just 2.4 GPG. On both sides of the ice, they outclass their opponent. To add to their motivation…revenge. They have never beaten the Oilers. But they will tonight. Take the Utah mammoth. Thank you. |
| 10-28-25 | Jets -108 v. Wild | 4-3 | Win | 100 | 9 h 26 m | Show | |
Winnipeg Jets. No Limit. Game 61. 5:05 PM PST/8:05 PM EST. To say the Winnipeg Jets have dominated the Minnesota Wild, would be an understatement. The Jets has taken eight consecutive meetings over the Wild, which includes all four games played on the road during that time. They enter this matchup off just their second loss over the last eight outings. They are a perfect 3-0 on the road in 2025 thus far. Winnipeg is doing it on both sides of the ice, ranking eighth in scoring, posting over 3.5 GPG, and third in goals against, holding opponents to just 2.4 GPG. As a matter of fact, they rank in the top 10 in just about every major offensive category. The Wild have dropped three in a row, and six of their last seven, which does include both home games played during that span. They are just 1-2-1 at home on the campaign. To be very honest, this team has very little to be excited about right now, ranking 26th in scoring (2.7 GPG), and 30th in goals against (3.9 GPG). No matter how you slice it, we have a solid play on the visiting, Winnipeg Jets. Thank you. |
| 10-28-25 | Penguins +143 v. Flyers | 2-3 | Loss | -100 | 8 h 31 m | Show | |
Pittsburgh Penguins. HAT TRICK play. Game 47. 3:05 PM PST/6:05 PM EST. The Penguins are running-hot, winning five of their last six outings, which does include all three games played on the road during that span. Yes, they did play last night at home against the Blues, winning that matchup, 6-3. But I don't see them coming into this game in back-to-back nights, tired. They face their in-state rival, the Flyers. They too, are playing some good hockey, winning three of their last five, which does include three victories in their four games played on their own ice during that span. But Pittsburgh has dominated Philadelphia, taking four of the last six meetings, and going back a little further six of the last 10 overall matchups. The Philadelphia offense has been lackluster at best, ranking 24th, and the counting for just 2.8 goals per game. Yes, they do have a good defense, ranking in the top 10, and yielding 2.6 GPG. But ranking third in penalty minutes and 26th and power plays is bad enough, not to mention they rank dead last in the NHL in shots on goal. Their offense is lackluster, like I mentioned a moment ago. The Pittsburgh offense is anything but, ranking seventh in the league, and the accounting for over 3.6 GPG, rarely committing penalties, and also owning the seventh-best goaltending/defense in hockey, also allowing just 2.6 GPG. Their offense is too explosive my friends, and there is no love lost between these teams, so, I expect the home team to commit a lot of penalties here. Not only is their value in taking the road team, but they are a downright good play. Take the Penguins. Thank you. |
| 10-27-25 | Blues v. Penguins +106 | Top | 3-6 | Win | 106 | 8 h 27 m | Show |
Pittsburgh Penguins. Game 44. 4:05 PM PST/7:05 PM EST. Pittsburgh has dominated St. Louis, taking seven of the last nine meetings in this rivalry, including all five games played at home during that span. Meanwhile, they enter tonight's matchup (as of posting this play), a small underdog. Are you asking yourself why? Well maybe it's because the Penguins will be without one of their top goal scorers in Rickard Rakell. I'm here to tell you, while he will be missed, I feel the odds makers are overestimating the visitor here. Pittsburgh brought up Koivunen from the minors. They also moved Hallander into Rakell's spot on the top line with Crosby and Rust. The Blues are struggling, not winning a game over the last three outings, and dropping four of their last five. They rank in the bottom third in the league in scoring, averaging just 2.9 GPG, while ranking 30th in goals allowed, getting plowed for over 3.9 GPG. I know Pittsburgh lost one of their best offensive players, but this is a team that ranks in the top 10 in scoring, posting over 3.5 GPG, topping the league in power plays, and ranking 30th in penalty minutes. Oh, by the way, they also rank sixth in the NHL, yielding just 2.4 GPG. I'm going to take advantage of a home ‘dog in this matchup, and a mistake made by the oddsmakers. Take the Penguins. Thank you. |
| 10-26-25 | Rangers -127 v. Flames | 1-5 | Loss | -127 | 10 h 39 m | Show | |
New York Rangers. Late Bailout. Game 39. 5:05 PM PST/8:05 PM EST. The line is short in this matchup, my friends. Granted the Rangers have only won one of their last five outings. But the Flames are absolutely horrible, having not won a game since October 8. During their current slide, they have been outscored by a combined, 31-12. I expect New York to get back on track here as they are excellent on the road, sporting a 3-0-1 away record compared to Calgary’s home mark of 0-3-1. Statistically speaking, the Flames rank 32nd in the NHL in scoring, accounting for a dismal 1.7 GPG, while ranking 28th in goals against, getting steamrolled for over 3.8 GPG. The Rangers defense is one of the best in the league, they have struggled offensively, however. But I do feel against this team, they will light up the scoreboard, get back on track, and start winning again. Take New York. Thank you. |
| 10-26-25 | Kings v. Blackhawks +127 | 3-1 | Loss | -100 | 9 h 45 m | Show | |
Chicago Blackhawks. SMP. Game 38. 4:05 PM PST/7:05 PM EST. Yes, the Kings have had their way with the Blackhawks, taking seven of the last 10 overall meetings. However, Chicago has taken two of the three most recent matchups in this rivalry. I see Los Angeles coming here a little tired, following last night’s game at the Predators which resulted in a shootout. They're going to be overworked, fatigued, and as I mentioned in the moment ago, tired. Meanwhile Chicago comes in here well-rested not having taken the ice since October 23, which was their second of back-to-back wins. Granted Los Angeles is a good road team, but Chicago is also good at home. I'm looking at the Blackhawks coming in here with fresh legs and a good attitude knowing they score more than the visitor and they allow less, as well. As a matter of fact, their defense is one of the best in the league, ranking sixth in goals against, yielding just 2.4 GPG. I am aware of Chicago leads the league in penalty minutes, but this can be an asset in this matchup. Take the Blackhawks. Thank you. |

| 10-26-25 | Golden Knights +123 v. Lightning | 1-2 | Loss | -100 | 7 h 49 m | Show | |
Vegas Golden Knights. CONSENSUS. Game 29. 2:05 PM PST/5:05 PM EST. Not only did Las Vegas lose yesterday, following a four-game in win streak, they were blanked. The Vegas Golden Knights do not take losing lightly, and moreover, do not take getting shutout lightly at all. They lost 3-0 on the road at the Florida Panthers, and now travel to Tampa Bay to face a struggling Lightning opponent. Yesterday, Tampa Bay got their first win over the last five outings at home against a less than stellar Anaheim opponent. I see the Golden Knights bouncing back and getting a big victory with the league's top-scoring offense (4.3 GPG) and a top 10 defense (2.7 GPG). Just FYI, the Lightning rank in the bottom third in both of those categories. Look for my hometown Vegas Golden Knights to get a big victory here and get back on the winning track. Thank you. |

| 10-26-25 | Avalanche v. Devils -125 | Top | 3-4 | Win | 100 | 3 h 54 m | Show |
New Jersey Devils. PP. Game 28. 10:05 A PST/1:05 PM EST. The beginning of any season in sports, trends are important. When it comes to NHL, I think it's even more important. Right now, there is no team in hockey hotter than the New Jersey Devils, who have won seven consecutive games. Meanwhile, The Colorado Avalanche have hit a cold streak, not claiming a victory since October 18. It's true, these two teams play each other tough, splitting the last six matchups. But New Jersey has had an extra day to rest and prepare for this matchup. They are averaging 3.9 GPG, while only allowing 2.4 GPG. Granted the Avalanche rank second in the NHL giving up 2.1 GPG, but I just don't think they have the momentum to go into the Prudential Center and compete. Take New Jersey. Thank you. |
| 10-25-25 | Hurricanes -102 v. Stars | 2-3 | Loss | -102 | 9 h 6 m | Show | |
Carolina Hurricanes. Game 23. 6:05 PM PST/9:05 PM EST. In my opinion, the line in this contest is way off. Carolina enters this matchup possessing a 6-1 overall record, which does include a 4-1 away record. Dallas is a 3-3-1 overall, and has failed to win any of their last four outings. This does include failing to win three straight at home. Possessing the number two ranked scoring offense in the NHL, the Hurricanes are averaging over 4.0 goals per game, while the Stars rank 29th in goals against, yielding 3.8 GPG. On the flipside, Carolina is allowing us 2.7 GPG. No matter how you cut it I do think the line is off here and I don't understand why the Hurricanes aren’t a major favorite. But we will take advantage of the oddsmakers mistake. Take Carolina. Thank you. |
| 10-25-25 | Senators v. Capitals -122 | 7-1 | Loss | -122 | 8 h 10 m | Show | |
Washington Capitals. Game 18. 4:05 PM PST/7:05 PM EST. I am not concerned with Washington may be coming in here tired today following last night's road victory over Columbus, 5-1. The Capitals are playing some great hockey, winning six of their last seven outings, which does include three or four played at home during that span. Ottawa is 3-4-1 overall, dropping their last two games played on the road, and let's be honest, their numbers are ugly. Especially on the defensive side of the ice, where they were rank 31st, getting plowed for over 4.2 goals per game. Their offense is struggling and must go up against the number one goaltending unit in the NHL, yielding just 1.8 GPG. That would be enough, but the Capitals are also counting for over 3.2 GPG. Take Washington. Thank you. |
| 10-25-25 | Utah Mammoth +102 v. Wild | 6-2 | Win | 102 | 7 h 14 m | Show | |
Utah Mammoth. Game 9. 3:05 PM PST/6:05 PM EST. In my opinion Utah should be favored here as they enter this matchup playing some very solid hockey, winning five in a row, including the only game played during that span on the road. Minnesota is struggling, dropping four of the last five. Granted they were all on the road, but this team isn't that much better at home. The Mammoth rank in the top 10, both in scoring, and in goals against. In both of those categories, the Wild rank among the worst in the NHL. Take Utah. Thank you. |
| 10-24-25 | Flames v. Jets -145 | 3-5 | Win | 100 | 10 h 34 m | Show | |
Winnipeg Jets. Game 68. 5:05 PM PST/8:05 PM EST. Sorry Flames fans, but Calgary is horrible. They have prevailed just once this season, and that was in their season opener back on October 8. Since then, they have been outscored by a combined 24-9. The offensive numbers are dismal. They rank dead last in the NHL in scoring, accounting for just 1.5 goals per game. To be honest with you, their defense is just as bad. They rank 28th in goals against, giving up 3.6 goals per game. They have been dominated in this rivalry, losing the last two, and four the last overall five meetings with the Winnipeg Jets. Speaking of which, following a five-game win streak, Winnipeg lost last night in an ugly game being outplayed at home against Seattle, 3-0. I expect this team to bounce back here and get a big victory in front of their loyal home town fans. Last night's loss was their first game being blanked in the 2025 campaign. I expect them to come back with authority and exact some revenge tonight with their top five offense and their top five defense. Yes, they post 3.8 goal per game, while allowing just 2.2 goal per game. Take Winnipeg. Thank you. |
| 10-24-25 | Capitals -113 v. Blue Jackets | 5-1 | Win | 100 | 9 h 41 m | Show | |
Washington Capitals. Game 61. 4:05 PM PST/7:05 PM EST. Winners in five of their last six games, the Washington Capitals are playing some very good hockey. They are a perfect 2-0 on the road this season, and have taken down some solid opposition. The Columbus Blue Jackets are just 3-3, and have dropped two of three outings at home already this season. The Capitals possess one of the best defenses/goaltending units in the NHL, ranking second, and yielding just 1.9 GPG. Not to take away anything from the Blue Jackets, but they've been outscored at home in their two losses by a combined 7-3. They're not a bad team, mind you. But Washington is playing better hockey right now, and has a little more momentum. Take the Capitals. Thank you. |
| 10-24-25 | Sharks v. Devils -1.5 | Top | 1-3 | Win | 100 | 9 h 38 m | Show |
New Jersey Devils on the PUCKLINE. Game 64. 4:05 PM PST/7:05 PM EST. It may be very early in this regular season, but the San Jose Sharks and the New Jersey Devils seem to be heading in opposite directions. The Sharks have just one victory thus far, while the devils have prevailed in six straight outings. They are perfect at home outscoring visitors by a combined 12-5. Speaking of scoring, they rank second in the NHL, averaging 4.0 goals per game, while on defense ranking in the top 10, yielding just 2.6 GPG. Compare that to the visitor who averages 2.7 GPG on offense, and is getting plowed ranking 32nd in hockey, giving up 4.8 GPG. This game gets ugly. Take the Devils on the puck line. Thank you. |
| 10-23-25 | Seattle Kraken v. Jets -1.5 | Top | 3-0 | Loss | -100 | 9 h 46 m | Show |
Winnipeg Jets +1.5 PUCKLINE. Game 52. 5:05 PM PST/8:05 PM EST. This game is going to get ugly, my friends. The Seattle Kraken are struggling. They have dropped four of their last five, possessing almost no defense/goaltending. They have been dominated by the Winnipeg Jets, losing the last five meetings with them, and overall, eight of the last 10 matchups. Speaking of Winnipeg, they are hot, hot, hot, riding a five-game win streak. They are playing strong at home, and they've taken down some solid competition already. They rank third in the NHL in scoring, posting over 3.8 goals per game, while they rank in the top five in goaltending/defense, yielding a mere 2.2 GPG. They are the best in the league at killing penalties as well. The visitor here is significantly outclassed. The line is a bit high, so we will take the Winnipeg Jets on the puckline. Thank you. |
| 10-23-25 | Red Wings +124 v. Islanders | 2-7 | Loss | -100 | 8 h 50 m | Show | |
Detroit Red Wings. Game 33. 4:35 PM PST/7:35 PM EST. My friends, I grew up in New York City, and I also grew up a New York Islanders fan. The buzz around the league is the Islanders are going to be a team to be reckoned with this season with a lot of young talent. Yes, they have won three in a row. But this team did start off sluggish against less than stellar opposition, failing to win any of their first three outings. Detroit, on the other hand opened this season off losing at home, then rattling off five consecutive victories before last nights’ road loss at the hands of Buffalo, 4-2. I see this team bouncing back with authority here. They come into this rivalry contest with confidence knowing they have taken down New York the last four meetings. As I mentioned a moment ago, they were riding a five-game win streak. They were underdogs and all five of those outings my friends. I think they are being underestimated here again. Both teams account for 3.3 goals per game. The big difference here is on the defensive/goaltending side where the Red Wings rank seventh, yielding just 2.3 GPG, while the Islanders rank 28th, getting plowed over 3.7 GPG. I think the difference here is going to be on the defensive side of the ice. Therefore, we must decide with the visitor. Take Detroit Red Wings. Thank you. |
| 10-23-25 | Blackhawks +1.5 v. Lightning | Top | 3-2 | Win | 105 | 8 h 41 m | Show |
Chicago Blackhawks +1.5 PUCKLINE. Game 37. 3:45 PM PST/6:45 M ET. As it often happens this early in a season, I believe the oddsmakers have made a line that is off the mark in this matchup. The Chicago Blackhawks are playing some solid hockey, as they are starting to heat up, winning three of their last four. The Tampa Bay Lightning, on the other hand, have only one victory this season. Going back to last season, this team has failed to win seven of their last eight outings. They are also winless at home at 0-2. Yes, overall, they have had their way in this rivalry taking eight of the last 10, going back 4 1/2 years. But the Blackhawks took the most recent meeting back at the end of January last season on the road. Looking at their statistics, Chicago is scoring significantly more, while allowing significantly less. Granted, they lead the NHL in penalty minutes. But they're coming into this matchup with more momentum, and confidence knowing they took the last meeting with Tampa Bay as a visitor. I think the wrong team is favored here. But just to err on the side of caution, I am taking the Blackhawks on the puck line. Thank you. |
| 10-22-25 | Canadiens -120 v. Flames | 2-1 | Win | 100 | 9 h 16 m | Show | |
Montreal Canadians. Game 35. 5:30 PM PST/8:30 PM EST. You know folks, you have to treat each new season like a newborn baby. You cannot treat a newborn the way you would a toddler, the way you were a teenager, the way you would an adult. Having said that, it is true Calgary has taken the four most recent meetings over Montreal over the last two years. But these are too very different teams this season my friends. The Canadians enter this matchup winning five of their last six outings, including both games played during that span on the road. Their numbers are very impressive. Overall, they are accounting for over 3.6 goals per game, while yielding just 2.9 GPG. Meanwhile, the Flames, following a season opening victory, have now lost six consecutive outings, being outscored by a combined 24-8. They are winless at home at 0-3, and rank dead last in the NHL in scoring, posting for a dismal 1.6 GPG, while ranking 30th in goals against, getting plowed for over 3.9 GPG. I'm surprised this line isn't much higher. Take Montreal. Thank you. |
| 10-22-25 | Red Wings -103 v. Sabres | 2-4 | Loss | -103 | 8 h 20 m | Show | |
Detroit Red Wings. Game 33. 4:30 PM PST/7:30 PM EST. We may be just a few weeks into the new season, but I think we could all agree Detroit and Buffalo are heading in opposite directions. The Red Wings are playing some amazing hockey. Following their season opening embarrassing, home loss at the hands of the Montreal Canadiens, they have now rattled off five consecutive victories against some very good opposition. Detroit has taking down Toronto twice, Florida, Tampa Bay, and Edmonton, outscoring opponents in those games by a combined, 19-9. Meanwhile, Buffalo is just 2-4-0 thus far this season, and to be quite honest their statistics are ugly. They're rank 27th in scoring, accounting for only 2.5 goals per game, while there defenses/goaltending numbers are equally unimpressive, ranking 18th in goals against, giving up 3.0 GPG. The Red Wings have taken the three most recent meetings against the Sabres, and six of the last eight overall meetings. Listen folks, early in the season I keep it very simple, ride a hot team and fade a cold one. Take Detroit. Thank you. |
| 10-22-25 | Wild v. Devils -132 | 1-4 | Win | 100 | 8 h 55 m | Show | |
New Jersey Devils. Game 32. 4:00 PM PST/7:00 PM EST. New Jersey enters tonight's contest winning five of their first six games. As a matter fact, they dropped their season opener on the road at Carolina, only to prevail in the next five outing. This is a team that's putting up some solid numbers, ranking third in the NHL in scoring, averaging over 4.0 goal for game, and 13th in goals allowed at 2.8 goals per game. Meanwhile, Minnesota comes into tonight's matchup Just 3-3-1, and to be quite honest, their numbers are less than impressive. Their offense is lackluster, ranking 23rd, accounting for only 2.7 GPG, while their defense/goaltending is allowing a whopping 3.3 GPG. To say the Devils have had their way with the Wild, would be understatement. They have taken four straight meetings in this rivalry. By the way, don't expect it New Jersey come here tired following last night's road victory at Toronto. They return home in front of the loyal fans, where they are 2-0-0 already in the 2025 campaign. Take the Devils. Thank you. |
| 10-21-25 | Avalanche -137 v. Utah Mammoth | Top | 3-4 | Loss | -137 | 12 h 49 m | Show |
Colorado Avalanche. Game 29. 7:00 PM PST/10:00 PM EST. This should make for a very exciting matchup this evening, my friends. The Colorado Avalanche enter this contest with the best overall record in the Central Division at 5-0-1. They have won three in a row, and have also prevailed in all three of their road games thus far this season. This is a very well-balanced team that's playing some great hockey. They're averaging over 3.4 goals per game, which ranked them in the top 10, and lead the NHL, yielding just 1.6 GPG. They are accounting from more than twice the scoring than their opponents. The Utah Mammoth come in here playing pretty good hockey too. They are 4-2-0 overall, have also won three in a row themselves, and are a perfect 3-0-0 at home this season. Their offense isn’t nearly as explosive, and as a matter of fact they rank in the bottom tier in both power plays and face offs. And unfortunately, they rank third in penalty minutes. They do have a decent defense. I do think they are in real trouble here tonight. They two teams have met four times, with Colorado winning three of the four, including the two most recent matchups, one on the road and one at home. As a matter fact they have taken both meetings played in Utah. Outside of their one game that resulted in a shootout, they have allowed just one goal in each of the other outings. Their defense is too stingy, and their offense is just too good for their opponent here tonight. One more item, my friends, they've also had a one more day to rest, heal, and prepare for this game. All points lead to the visitor. Take Colorado. Thank you. |
| 10-20-25 | Jets -145 v. Flames | 2-1 | Win | 100 | 10 h 19 m | Show | |
Winnipeg Jets. Game 7. 6:00 PM PST/9:00 PM EST. It's very early in the campaign, but I think we can all agree that Winnipeg and Calgary are heading in opposite directions. The Jets are off to a 4-1 start and are perfect on the road at 2-0 so far this season, while the Flames are just 1-5, and are winless at home at 0-2. The Jets have dominated the Flames taking three of the last four meetings in this rivalry, and enter this matchup on a four-game win streak. Their offense has accounted for a combined 21 goals scored while they are defense and goaltending has yielded just a total of 12 goals, five of which came ion their season opening loss. The same can't be said for their opponent. Calgary, in their six-games this season have tallied a laughable seven combined goals, well they have gotten crushed, yielding 24 goals already. No matter how you slice it, no matter how you look at the statistics, no matter how you look at the trends or streaks, Winnipeg is our play. Take the Jets. Thank you. |
| 10-20-25 | Sabres v. Canadiens -141 | 2-4 | Win | 100 | 8 h 24 m | Show | |
Montreal Canadians. Game 6. 4:35 PM PST/7:35 PM EST. The Montréal Canadiens suffered just their second defeat of the season in their last outing. Following their season opening loss on the road at Toronto, Montreal then rattled off four consecutive wins, including their last two games played at home before Saturdays tough home loss at the hands of the New York Rangers. I expect them to bounce back here with authority and confidence knowing they have dominated the visiting team. That's right, Montreal has taken four in a row, and seven of the last nine meetings over Buffalo. Speaking of the Sabres, they started their campaign off losing their first three games only to win their last two against the Senators and Panthers. Their offense exploded the last two contests. But I expect them to be in trouble in this matchup. I just don't think they could keep pace on the scoreboard with the surging Montreal offense. They are also winless on the road this season. Granted they've only played one game, but this is not the greatest road team. Going back to last season, this team has lost their last four games played away from home. The Canadians can score, and they have a very frustrating defense. Let's not forget going back to last season, this is a team that's prevailed in eight of their last 11 on their own ice. Take Montreal. Thank you. |
| 10-19-25 | Oilers v. Red Wings +122 | 2-4 | Win | 122 | 6 h 49 m | Show | |
Detroit Red Wings. Game 60. 12:00 PM PST/3:00 PM EST. These two teams have started off the regular season campaign going in opposite directions. Edmonton is just 2-2-1, dropping their last two games. By the way, both of those games were played on the road. Detroit is 4-1, winning four straight outings. The Red Wings are one of the better home teams in the NHL and have the luxury of their loyal fan base behind them tonight. There is no way the Oilers can keep pace with a high-flying offense of the Red Wings. Take Detroit. Thank you. |
| 10-17-25 | Lightning v. Red Wings +135 | 1-2 | Win | 135 | 9 h 51 m | Show | |
Detroit Red Wings. Game 26. 4:00 PM PST/7:00 PM EST. Yes, it is very early in the season, but these two teams already look to be heading in different directions. Tampa Bay is only sporting one win thus far, while Detroit has won three of their four contests. As a matter fact, the Lightning, going back to the last season have now dropped eight out of their last 10 outings while, the Red Wings, also going back to last season have won six of their last eight games. To say Detroit has had the better of this rivalry would be an understatement, as they have taken five of the last seven meetings overall against Tampa Bay. As I mentioned the moment ago, we are just barely into the regular season. But the Red Wings are certainly scoring more and allowing less. Their opponent is allowing a whopping 4.0 goals per game. That's a lot of goals, folks. Not only that, but they are getting hit with a ton of penalty minutes ranking third in the league already. If you want to throw in the mix that they ranked 31st in the NHL in shots on goal, and it spells doom for the visitor here. Take the home team Red Wings. Thank you. |
| 10-13-25 | Panthers -145 v. Flyers | 2-5 | Loss | -145 | 8 h 44 m | Show | |
Florida Panthers. Game 47. 4:00 PM PST/7:00 PM EST. Florida has started off this season the way they ended last season… winning. The Panthers have won their first three games over the likes of the Blackhawks, the Flyers, and the Senators by a combined score of 11-5. Their offense is clicking while their defense has been very frustrating. They play a Philadelphia team that is winless thru their first several games of the season, and going back to last season have now lost five in a row. As a matter fact, the Panthers have taken four of the most recent five meetings against the Flyers, including a home win just four days ago by a score of 2-1. The Flyers defense has been basically nonexistent, which was an issue they had last season. I look for Florida to stay perfect while Philadelphia remains winless. Take the Panthers. Thank you. |
| 06-17-25 | Oilers v. Panthers -146 | 1-5 | Win | 100 | 10 h 51 m | Show | |
Florida Panthers. SLAPSHOT PLAY. Game 22. 5:00 PM PST/8:00 PM EST. Florida has the opportunity to close out this series, and win the Stanley Cup this evening. They have certainly proven their offense is superior, while their defense and goaltending are certainly frustrating. While Edmonton is proving to be a formidable foe, they just don't measure up here. Take the Panthers. Thank you. |
| 06-09-25 | Oilers v. Panthers -115 | 1-6 | Win | 100 | 10 h 14 m | Show | |
Florida Panthers. SLAPSHOT PLAY. Game 16. 5:00 PM PST/8:00 PM EST. The Florida Panthers return home where they are 31-15-2 this season. Yes, they did lose the series-opener on the road. But they bounced back to take Game 2 in Edmonton. Now they come back to their own ice at the Amerant Bank Arena. This is a team that consistently scores goals, while possessing one of the stingiest defenses/goaltending squads in the league. There is no denying Edmonton has played some good hockey. They certainly deserve to be here. But I think we can all agree, maybe they've had a little help to get to this point. Granted, the Oilers are 6-3 on the road this postseason. But it seems the Panthers are a little more potent on offense, in my opinion. I see Florida, in front of their loyal fans, coming in big here at home, and taking Game 3. Take the Panthers. Thank you. |
| 06-06-25 | Panthers +101 v. Oilers | 5-4 | Win | 101 | 10 h 49 m | Show | |
Florida Panthers. Slapshot Play. Game 13. 5:00 PM PST/8:00 PM EST. In this series-opener, Florida had a 3-1 lead early in the second period, only to give this game away with 31 seconds left in overtime. That won't sit well with the Panthers, who took the three previous meetings against the Oilers. I see Florida and their very stout defense, frustrating the Edmonton offense, and tying this series up. Take the Panthers. Thank you. |
| 06-04-25 | Panthers +113 v. Oilers | 3-4 | Loss | -100 | 33 h 25 m | Show | |
Florida Panthers. Game 11. 5:00 PM PST/8:00 PM EST. Once again, the general public is wrong. As of posting this play a day before the Stanley Cup series-opener, most of the money is coming in on the home team Edmonton Oilers. I am here to tell you the general public has this game wrong. Yes, Edmonton played well in the postseason, winning 12 of their 16 matchups. But Florida has been a thorn in their side for a while now. The Panthers took both meetings this season against the Oilers, and going back to last season, three straight. They have taken seven of the last 10 overall meetings between these two teams. They enter this matchup playing more consistent hockey. Both teams can score goals, no question about that. I'm looking at the defense and goaltending. Only twice during this entire postseason has the Panthers allowed more than four goals. As a matter fact only twice did they allow four goals. The rest of the time they allowed three or less goals. Looking at the Edmonton Oilers, their defense and goaltending at times was extremely beatable. The Panthers also had one extra day to rest, heal, and prepare for this series. I really feel the only reason why Edmonton is favorite is because they're at home, and they are a fan favorite. They are certainly overvalued here. Take the Florida Panthers. Thank you. |
| 05-27-25 | Stars v. Oilers -147 | 1-4 | Win | 100 | 10 h 47 m | Show | |
Edmonton Oilers. Slapshot play. Game 66. 5:00 PM PST/8:00 PM EST. My friends, Dallas is in real trouble in this series. Edmonton has taken Games 2 and 3 with authority, outscoring them by a combined, 9-1. They also play at home where they have accumulated a 30-14-3 record this season. As a matter of fact, during the playoffs, the Oilers have won five of six games played at Rogers Place. Meanwhile, the Stars certainly struggle on the road, losing three in a row, and five of seven road games played in this playoff campaign. Take Edmonton. Thank you. |
| 05-26-25 | Hurricanes v. Panthers -176 | 3-0 | Loss | -176 | 9 h 57 m | Show | |
Florida Panthers. Game 4 WINNER. Game 64. 5:00 PM PST/8:00 PM EST. Normally when a team in a playoff situation has their backs up against the wall, and facing elimination, you have to look to ride them. But that's not the case here with the Carolina Hurricanes. This is a team that's lost all three games of this series thus far. This season they have lost five of six against the Florida Panthers. Let's face it, they are not the greatest road team to begin with, going just 19-23-5 as a visitor on the campaign. Florida is an excellent team, and a superb home team. They are also a team that knows how to finish. They are red hot, taking seven of their last eight contests. They also know that finishing the series up here tonight gives them several extra days to rest, heal, and prepare for the winner of the Stars/Oilers matchup. They will not take any chances and finish this season right now. Take the Panthers. Thank you. |
| 05-23-25 | Oilers v. Stars -110 | 3-0 | Loss | -110 | 9 h 15 m | Show | |
Dallas Stars. SLAPSHOT PLAY GOM. Game 58. 5:00 PM PST/8;00 PM EST. I'm sure there are many people out there that feel the beating the Edmonton Oilers took in Game 1 of this series would prompt them all to come in on them in the following game. That's not the case here. The Dallas Stars took Game 1 with authority, by a score of 6-3, scoring five big goals in the third period of the series opener. It's no secret one of the Oilers starters spoke very negatively about their goalie in the postgame interview. I don't think this motivates the team at all. As a matter of fact, I think this will weigh on their shoulders quite a bit as there is dissension in the locker room. Please remember the Stars took three or four meetings against the Oilers this season, including both games played at the American Airlines Center. Moreover, Dallas has won seven consecutive home playoff games. Meanwhile Edmonton is just 4-3 as a visitor in this postseason. Too many facts prompt me to take the home team here. Take the Stars. Thank you. |
| 05-20-25 | Panthers v. Hurricanes -119 | 5-2 | Loss | -119 | 10 h 58 m | Show | |
Carolina Hurricanes. SLAPSHOT PLAY. Game 54. 5:00 PM PST/8:00 PM EST. One thing many people out there in the sports betting world do wrong this time of year, is overthink things. Let's not do that in Game 1 of the Florida Panthers/Carolina Hurricanes matchup. For starters, the Hurricanes have won all five of their home playoff games this season. This was one of the best home teams in the NHL this season, amassing a 36-9-1 record at the Lenovo Center. They enter this matchup hotter and better-rested. Carolina is 8-1-1-0 the last 10 games, and because they dispatched of Washington in five games in the previous round, they have had several extra days to rest, heal, and prepare than their opponent. Florida is a good team. But going seven games against Toronto, and only having one full day off between that series and this current series is going to take its toll on the Panthers. This is a team, that did not have the same success on the road as they did at home this season, as they are just 25-21-2 as a visitor on the campaign. They've also split their last four games played on the road. Too many factors prompt me to side with the home team here. Take the Hurricanes. Thank you. |

Dallas Stars. SLAPSHOT PLAY. Game 80. 5:00 PM PST/8:00 PM EST. There is no question this is a tough series. But Dallas is showing they are the better team, taking two of three thus far. While Winnipeg is a strong team, they have not fared well when they travel, going 0-4 as a visitor during this playoff season. This does not bode well as the Stars have turned it up this postseason at home, winning four of five games played at the American Airlines Center. They certainly take advantage of all the benefits playing on their own ice. Take the Dallas. Thank you. |

Toronto Maple Leafs on the PUCK LINE +1.5. TOP TIER PLAY. Game 73. 4:30 PM PST/7:30 PM EST. As of posting this play, general public money has been coming on the home team here. And I love fading the general public. Toronto has taken two of three meetings this series, and going back a little further,r five of the last 10 overall matchups. Yes, I am aware that the two victories the Maple Leafs had in this series came at home. But you cannot ignore these two teams play each other very competitively. All three meetings in this series have been separated by one goal. Please understand, that even before the postseason, the Panthers were erratic. They have split their last 10 overall games. Meanwhile, Toronto has won seven of their last 10. While on paper, the Maple Leafs score almost a half a goal more, both defensive/goaltending numbers yield the same. Take Toronto plus a goal and a half and take your bookmaker’s money. Thank you. |

Dallas Stars. SLAPSHOT PLAY. Game 72. 1:30 PM PST/4:30 PM EST. I am going to keep this breakdown just like me, very short, and extremely sweet (lol). While these two teams match up well, and play each other very competitively, we cannot ignore today's situation significantly benefits the home team. The Winnipeg Jets are a good squad. However, they have dropped their last three road playoff games. The Dallas Stars have won three straight postseason games at home. Let's also take a look at the fact that Dallas comes off an embarrassing, 4-0 loss in the last matchup. That was only the third time this season they've been blanked. They were blanked once in this year's playoffs, back on April 26, losing on the road to the Colorado Avalanche. They bounced back the following game, to devour Colorado, 6-2. This is a team that does not take losses lightly, let alone shutout losses. Take the Stars. Thank you. |

| 05-10-25 | Golden Knights v. Oilers -124 | 4-3 | Loss | -124 | 12 h 41 m | Show | |
Edmonton Oilers. SLAPSHOT. Game 70. 6:00 PM PST/9:00 PM EST. With all respect to my hometown Vegas Golden Knights, they are in real trouble here. As we all know, they lost the first two games of this series at home, and now take it to the road to Rogers Place. Normally, if a team drops the first two games of a playoff series at home, I would look to take them in Game 3. However, the Edmonton Oilers have had their number, winning four straight meetings. Going back a little further, they have taken three of the last four played at home. Even if Brayden McNabb (check status) wasn't banged up and questionable here tonight as of this post, I will still look to go against the road team here. They certainly aren't the same team on the road as they are in The Fortress, going 23-14-7 as a visitor this season. They have also lost five of their last 10 overall games. On paper, VGK possesses better numbers at both ends of the ice. But pro hockey isn't played on paper. This team doesn't have what it takes to bounce back on the road with possibly one of their best players sidelined. Take the Edmonton Oilers. Thank you. |

Toronto Maple Leafs +1.5. SLAPSHOT PLAY. Game 63. 4:00 PM PST/7:00 PM EST. The Maple Leafs took Games 1 and 2 of the series at home, and now come into Game 3 a big underdog. I guess the oddsmakers are thinking the Florida Panthers are due for a win at home. However, the Toronto is a very competitive team, and a very good team on the road where they are 27-13-4 this season. I doubt very much they're going to take this away matchup lightly. They will come in here competitive as always and either take the game or keep it very close. Take the Maple Leafs plus the goal and a half. Thank you. |

Vegas Golden Knights. POWER PLAY. Game 36. 6:30 PM PST/9:30 PM EST. Living in Las Vegas, and attending games at the T-Mobile Arena, gives me a big advantage, as I feel for any team coming in here, playing at the Fortress, is at a big disadvantage. The Vegas Golden Knights are 31-10-3 at home this season. They are playing some damn good hockey, folks. Their offense has been consistent, while their goaltending has really stepped up. They enter this series opener winning three in a row, and seven of their last 10, which does include four of their last five played on their own ice. This is a team that ranks fifth in scoring, and fourth in goaltending. At both ends of the ice, they are without flaws. Edmonton is a respectful 24-18-2 on the road. But they have dropped two of their last three played away from home. Granted, they came back from being down two games to none to win the last four contests, and take the first round over Los Angeles. But at both end of the ice, they just don’t measure up here. VGK is just too much to handle, particularly at home. Take the Vegas Golden Knights. Thank you. |

| 05-06-25 | Hurricanes v. Capitals +112 | 2-1 | Loss | -100 | 33 h 31 m | Show | |
Washington Capitals. SLAPSHOT. Game 52. Washington has taken both meetings with Carolina this season at home. They are also one of the best home teams in hockey, going 29-9-6 at the Capital One Arena. They enter this matchup winning four of their last five, which includes all three games played on their own ice. The Hurricanes are just 17-21-5 on the road this season, and have dropped four of their last five games played as a visitor. They did have an extra day to rest. But I don't think that's going to matter too much. The Capitals score more, owning the more explosive offense, and are playing at home. Take Washington. Thank you. |

| 05-04-25 | Blues v. Jets -148 | 3-4 | Win | 100 | 9 h 13 m | Show | |
Winnipeg Jets. SLAP SHOT PLAY. Game 16. 4:00 PM PST/7:00 PM EST. It would be enough for me to go with the home team here as the Blues have lost six consecutive outings played on the road, while the Jets have won four consecutive outings played at home. However, you may or may not know that the home team has won every matchup in this series. Going back a little bit further, the home team has prevailed in seven straight meetings between St. Louis and Winnipeg. With this game deciding which team goes on in which team goes home, I do feel there is a big edge to the home team here. Take the Winnipeg Jets. Thank you. |
| 04-30-25 | Blues v. Jets -167 | 3-5 | Win | 100 | 11 h 6 m | Show | |
Winnipeg Jets. POWER PLAY. Game 34. 6:30 PM PST/9:30 PM EST. No question, the St. Louis Blues just can't win at the Canada Life Centre, dropping four of the last five games played there. We all know Winnipeg is a very good team when playing on their own ice, going 32-7-4 at home this season. When they travel, they certainly struggle. After winning the first two games of this series at home, they dropped the next two on the road. Well folks, they return home in front of their loyal fans where they are a very successful, and get a well needed victory here. Take the Jets. Thank you. |
| 04-30-25 | Canadiens v. Capitals -169 | 1-4 | Win | 100 | 9 h 37 m | Show | |
Washington Capitals. SLAPSHOT. Game 32. 4:00 PM PST/7:00 PM EST. Washington can and will close out this series tonight in front of their loyal fans. They are an excellent home team, going 28-9-6 at the Capital One Arena this season. Meanwhile, Montreal is just 17-20-6 as a visitor on the campaign, and has dropped four straight on the road. This is a team that's really struggling at both ends of the ice, going just 2-6 their last eight outings. They are outclassed, and get sent home early. Take the Capitals. Thank you. |
| 04-27-25 | Jets -131 v. Blues | 1-5 | Loss | -131 | 3 h 24 m | Show | |
Winnipeg Jets. SLAPSHOT. Game 9. 10:00 AM PST/1:00 PM EST. Winnipeg took Games 1 and 2 of this series with authority, only to be embarrassed in Game 3 on the road. That is very uncharacteristic for the Jets, as they are a very good away team, going 26-16-0 on the road this season. As a matter of fact, they have dominated this rivalry overall, taking eight of the last 10 meetings. Prior to Thursdays embarrassing defeat at the Enterprise Center, they took the three previous meetings on that same ice. The 7-2 defeat at the hands of the Blues matched their poorest defeat this season. In mid-November they were humiliated by the Florida Panthers, 5-0. The very next game they came back, coincidentally enough against that same Panthers team to shred them 6-3. This is a team that doesn't take embarrassing losses lightly. They're also a better team that accounts for more goals on offense, and yields less goals on defense. Take the Jets. Thank you. |

| 04-25-25 | Kings +123 v. Oilers | 4-7 | Loss | -100 | 12 h 6 m | Show | |
Los Angeles Kings. POWER PLAY. Game 73. 7:00 PM PST/10:00 PM EST. Game 3's can sometimes be tricky. But in my opinion, this one is not. Los Angeles has dominated Edmonton, taking four in a row, and five of six meetings this season. That does include the most recent played at the Rogers Place. The Kings have dominated the Oilers, outscoring them buy a combined, 24-11 on the campaign. They enter this matchup red-hot, winning eight of their last 10 overall, and three straight as a visitor. Edmonton has dropped five of their last nine, which does include their most recent played at home, back on April 14, coincidentally a 5-0 shutout at the hands of today's opponent. Their Office has been hit or miss. Their goaltending has been absolutely atrocious. I look for LA to get another win, and get one step closer to Rd. 2 of the playoffs. Take the Kings. Thank you. |

| 04-24-25 | Jets -113 v. Blues | 2-7 | Loss | -113 | 11 h 3 m | Show | |
Winnipeg Jets. POWER PLAY. Game 67. 6:30 PM PST/9:30 PM EST. Up 2-0 in this series, the Winnipeg Jets will not allow the St. Louis Blues to gain some ground here tonight. This is a team that has dominated their opponent, taking eight of the last nine meetings, which does include all three matchups played at the Enterprise Center. People forget the Jets are one of the better road teams in the NHL, going 26-15-0 away from home this season. They enter this matchup tonight red-hot, winning six of their last seven overall, and going back a little further, three of their last four played as a visitor. No matter how you view the statistics, Winnipeg scores almost a half a goal more per game, and allows a half a goal less. Take the Jets. Thank you. |
| 04-23-25 | Oilers v. Kings -126 | 2-6 | Win | 100 | 12 h 22 m | Show | |
Los Angeles Kings. POWER PLAY. Game 58. 7:00 PM PST/10:00 PM EST. Los Angeles has had their way with Edmonton this season, taking four of five meetings, which does include all three matchups played at the Crypto.com Arena. While the Oilers are a decent team, they just don't measure up here. They may average slightly more goals per game than LA, but their defense is so bad, it has hurt them. Let's not forget, the Kings defense is pretty darn good. They rank third in the league, yielding just 2.5 goals per game. They enter this matchup red-hot, winning 18 of their last 23 outings. Let's also not forget they're also one of the best home teams in the NHL, going 32-6-4 on their own ice. Take the Kings. Thank you. |

| 04-22-25 | Wild v. Golden Knights -229 | 5-2 | Loss | -229 | 13 h 3 m | Show | |
Vegas Golden nights. SLAPSHOT PLAY. Game 52. 8:00 PM PST/11:00 PM EST. Not only has Vegas had their way in this series, winning six in a row and nine of the last 10 meetings with Minnesota, but they also come here the hotter team, taking Game 1 of this series, 4-2. That victory gave them their sixth victory over their last overall eight contests. This is one of the strongest home teams in the NHL, going 30-9-3 at the T-Mobile Arena this season. The Wild have dropped seven of their last eight on the road. They score significantly less, and allow significantly more. Take the Vegas Golden Knights. Thank you. |
