Here’s what the oddsmakers have projected this week:
Sunday, 10/28/2007
Cleveland Browns 25
St Louis Rams 21
Despite a better performance at home this week, oddsmakers have the Rams falling to 0-8.
Detroit Lions 20
Chicago Bears 25
The Lions beat the Bears in an earlier season matchup. The books have Chicago returning the favor here.
Indianapolis Colts 26
Carolina Panthers 19
Indy’s impressive win last week at Jacksonville has raised the Colts’ stock. They are a larger road favorite this week.
New York Giants 29
Miami Dolphins 19
Oddsmakers don’t feel a trip across the ocean will slow down the red hot Giants against the winless fish.
Oakland Raiders 17
Tennessee Titans 24
Vince Young’s return to the lineup at home has the oddsmakers siding with the Titans.
Philadelphia Eagles 19
Minnesota Vikings 18
Philly gets the slight edge in this week’s barn burner. Oddsmakers feel Minnesota’s inability to throw the football effectively will cost them here.
Pittsburgh Steelers 26
Cincinnati Bengals 22
The books aren’t believing in the two-win Bengals yet. They give Pittsburgh the advantage on the road in this AFC North matchup.
Buffalo Bills 17
New York Jets 20
Both of these teams have been terrible this season. We didn’t expect much of the Bills, but the Jets were a 10-win playoff team a year ago. Buffalo’s two road blowout losses has the books favoring the Jets.
Jacksonville Jaguars 14
Tampa Bay Buccaneers 17
This low-scoring affair should be a defensive battle. With QB Quinn Gray starting for the first time in his NFL career, the oddsmakers have favored the Bucs at home.
New Orleans Saints 22
San Francisco 49ers 19
As bad as New Orleans has been this season, linesmakers feel San Fran is struggling more right now.
Washington Redskins 15
New England Patriots 32
New England has not won by less than 17 points this season. That’s the magic number for the books this week as the Pats take on the Skins at home.
Monday, 10/29/2007
Green Bay Packers 19
Denver Broncos 22
The books like the Broncos to knock off another one-loss team this week at home.
