This week we will see which undefeated teams can stay that way and which winless teams can get on the board. New England, Indy, Green Bay, and Dallas all improved to 4-0 last week. Three of those teams find themselves as double digits favorites this week with the books unanimously saying that three of these teams should remain perfect.

Miami, St. Louis, and New Orleans are all yet to win games this season. The books feel the strongest about New Orleans getting in the win column this week by making them 3-point favorites at home.

The biggest stories this season, in my opinion, are not the undefeated teams or the winless teams, but the teams who have had a negative turnaround in just one season. The reigning NFC Champion Bears are just 1-3. Last year’s best regular season team, the Chargers, are also just 1-3. The Saints, who were NFC runner-ups, are still winless. Only time will tell if these teams can get things turned back around this year, but right now it’s not looking good.

The Bears’ QB situation is obviously holding them back. The Chargers appear to be just another head coaching disappointment on Norv Turner’s resume, and the Saints don’t seem to be playing with the same level of passion that they did last season following up the Katrina disaster.
