We’ll start off by talking about the last game of the week ignoring all chronology. The New England Patriots head to Cincy to take on the Bengals. Although New England has embarrassed all of its opponents this season, the Pats are just touchdown favorites on the road this week against the 1-2 Bengals. The Bengals have won their only home game this season and based on this line the books are telling us that they feel the Bengals are a much better home team. New England will face its biggest offensive threat of the season thus far as Cincy will constantly challenge the Pats through the air. This is this week’s must-see matchup.

You might not hear too much buzz about the Seattle Seahawks versus San Francisco 49ers NFC West matchup this week, but this one should be a dandy. Making Seattle just 2.5-point favorites on the road, the books are expecting this one to go down to the wire. This is a battle between the class of the league, Seattle, and the young 49ers, who are trying to show that they are ready to rule the West for a while.

The books have made the Chargers 11.5-point favorites at home against the Chiefs this week despite being just 1-2 through the first three weeks of the season. Another interesting line is Pittsburgh being favored by just a touchdown without the extra point against the 1-2 Cards. The books are telling us with these lines how important they feel home field is. We shall see if they are right.
