Week 4 NCAA College Football Predictions

Larry Cook and his staff of handicapping experts are back with their week 4 college football predictions. Larry has dissected another week’s worth of lines to help you handicapping novices learn the ropes. As soon as the lines come out each week, you can do the math and figure out the projected outcomes of all the games to use as one of your handicapping tools. It’s also a good idea to look at the matchups and try setting your own lines before you look at the ones the oddsmakers have set. Where you see major discrepancies, you might have some winning plays. Be sure to examine closely why you feel the books have set their line the way they have and why you have set yours the way you have. Every decision must be backed up by cold hard facts. Gut feelings do not win in this business.

Take a look at the Washington/UCLA line. The books have UCLA bouncing back this week to win at home. Some novices would pick against UCLA this week solely based on the fact that they were embarrassed last week by Utah. If you’re taking the Huskies, I hope that is not your only reason as both teams find themselves in bounce back spots. I feel the books have set a solid line for this game.
