This week’s college football action is all about one matchup: Oklahoma versus Missouri. These two schools clash in the Big 12 Championship Game in a rematch of an earlier season matchup which saw Oklahoma win at home. Plain and simple, a win by the Tigers puts them in the BCS Championship Game-a place no one thought they’d be at the beginning of the season. Oklahoma will be playing the rare roll of spoiler to improve its bowl positioning and to capture yet another Big 12 title. Missouri’s success and the stellar play of QB Chase Daniel has oddsmakers narrowing the margin, but the Sooners are still 3-point favorites in this neutral field battle. You’re not going to want to make a hasty move here. Make sure you see if Larry Cook is loading up on this one before laying down.
The only other matchup with the possibility of shaking things up is the Pittsburgh/West Virginia Big East game. With the Mountaineers as 28-point home favorites, a loss here by West Virginia would be considered one of the biggest chokes in history. It looks like the Mountaineers will be smooth sailing into the BCS title game, finally.
Larry Cook’s college football predictions will keep you cashing this week. Sign up for a long-term package now to play with Larry clear through the bowl season. You’ll save a lot of money that you could be using to wager on games.
