Larry Cook is back with his week 13 NFL predictions. Larry puts his little handicapping tool to work again this week to reveal the scores that oddsmakers have predicted to occur in this week’s matchups. Use these predictions to pick more straight up winners in your buddy pool. They also serve as a better indicator of how to measure a matchup. Larry finds this tool particularly helpful with totals plays as it allows him to know how the books have measured each team so he can see if he agrees.

Atlanta Falcons 19
St Louis Rams 22

The Rams get a rare spot in the chalk role against a Falcons team with just one road win in 2007. The books feel the Rams get their first home win of the year in this one.

Buffalo Bills 15
Washington Redskins 21

The books feel the Redskins are the more talented team. The Skins win a defensive football game according the books.

Detroit Lions 21
Minnesota Vikings 25

Oddsmakers have the Vikes handing the Lions their fourth straight loss to more or less knock them out of the playoff picture.

Houston Texans 19
Tennessee Titans 23

Tennessee’s three straight losses did not scare the books off this week as they don’t feel the Texans are a good road team.

Jacksonville Jaguars 19
Indianapolis Colts 26

A long week off has oddsmakers big on the Colts here despite a recent surge by the Jags.

New York Jets 19
Miami Dolphins 20

In the “who cares” game this week, the books are putting the Dolphins on the board to end its season long drought.

San Diego Chargers 22
Kansas City Chiefs 15
The Chiefs’ bottom fell out going down to Oakland last week, enduring their fourth straight loss.

Seattle Seahawks 19
Philadelphia Eagles 22

The books don’t find Seattle current streak as hot as the Eagles’ near win over New England.

San Francisco 49ers 16
Carolina Panthers 19

Vegas gets the Panthers on the board with their first home win of the season with the lowly Niners visiting. They’re calling last week’s win by San Fran a fluke in other words.

Cleveland Browns 26
Arizona Cardinals 25

The books have been skeptical about the Browns on the road all season. Skepticism remains, but they give them the slight edge here.

Denver Broncos 23
Oakland Raiders 19

Denver is clearly the better team. Oddsmakers like the Broncos to bounce back from last week’s OT loss to Chicago.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers 19
New Orleans Saints 23

The books feel the Saints will avenge an earlier season defeat to Tampa in this rematch, showing no confidence in the Bucs away from the Bay.

New York Giants 21
Chicago Bears 20

The books have the Giants bouncing back from last week’s embarrassing loss to the Vikes.

Cincinnati Bengals 18
Pittsburgh Steelers 26

Pittsburgh has been dominant at home and linesman feel that will still be the case this week its division rivals.

Monday, 12/3/2007

New England Patriots 35
Baltimore Ravens 14

The books show no fear this week by coming right back with the Pats as 20.5-point road favs. Baltimore’s sloppy defensive play and lack of offense gives weight to the decision, but will the books be embarrassed again?
