Reasons why South Carolina covers the spread Tuesday:

1.)  This has become a great rivalry over the last 2 seasons between the Florida Gators and South Carolina Gamecocks.  Last season, Florida beat South Carolina by 2 and 3 points in their two meetings.  The Gamecocks got their revenge this season, edging out the Gators 70-69 back on January 21st.  So the last 3 meetings have been decided by 3 points or less, and we feel this SC team has what it takes to cap off the season sweep against the Gators tonight down in the Swamp. 

2.)  SC has been playing solid basketball on the road against good team.  They beat Baylor on the road 85-84 as a 10-point dog and they beat Kentucky on the road 78-77 last time out as a 9-point dog.  Another impressive performance was a 79-82 loss at Tennessee as an 11-point dog.  This was the same Vols team that Florida lost to 63-79 last time out.
