The curtain is getting ready to close on the 2007-2008 college football season, one which will go down as one of the wildest in memory, and your last chance for action will be betting Ohio State LSU. Even analyst Beano Cooke, who’s been around NCAA football for as long as anyone says that he can’t remember a season like this.
Of course, we also have two more bowl games before we get to the Championship Game. These are the types of games that only family, friends and school faithful really care about, unless of course you are doing any college football betting.
The International Bowl, matching up Rutgers and Ball State, is going to be played on Saturday, January 5th. Rutgers is listed as a 10.5-point favorite and they are getting most of the attention from the betting public, as 83% of the players at SPORTSBETTING.COM are backing the Scarlet Knights.
The GMAC Bowl follows on Sunday, the 6th, with Tulsa taking on Bowling Green. Tulsa is a 4.5-point favorite, and the total is the highest of any bowl game this season at 76. Tulsa is has received 70% of the early etting action, with bettors not believing that huge total as the under is getting 80% of the money.
The grand finale goes Monday night, when the BCS Championship Game settles the question of who will end up Number 1 this year.
The two-loss LSU Tigers are a 4-point favorite over the one-loss Ohio State Buckeyes. The general consensus is that the SEC is a better conference overall than the Big Ten; however, that certainly doesn’t mean the Big Ten’s best team can’t beat LSU in this matchup.
They can and they just might. Ohio State needs a victory here after they got killed last year in this game by another SEC team in the Florida Gators.
