Odds to Win 2007 Big Ten Football Conference
June 12, 2008
With the season approaching there are a lot of visitors looking for the latest odds to win the 2007 Big Ten football championship and we have them listed below from a couple of top sportsbooks. The front runners to win the conference this season are the Michigan Wolverines who return some key skill players and Heisman candidates in Mike Hart and Chad Henne. The defense lost a lot of players to graduation, but the offense should be potent enough early in the season to allow this team some time to grow as a unit before the Big Ten play commences.

The Wisconsin Badgers are another team that the odds makers have pegged as a title contender and it’s easy to see why after last year’s success. While the quarterback is gone, this team should still be pretty potent on offense like they have been every year. The schedule isn’t too bad either, giving the Badgers a good shot at winning the conference. Everyone is big on Penn State this year as this may be Joe Paterno’s last chance at winning another national title. There is potential here but making the jump to a BCS Bowl might be a little more than we are willing to give this team right now. Ohio State lost everyone who was anyone on last year’s offense, but the defense is going to be talented once again and there is no shortage of top recruits in Columbus. The Buckeyes may be raw, but they’ll be one of the tougher teams to beat. The Iowa Hawkeyes have the best schedule of anyone in the conference and are flying under the radar. This may be a team to take a look at as they only have a couple of big games to win in order to get the Big Ten title back in Iowa City.
