Odds to Win 2007 Big 12 Football Conference
June 12, 2008
For our Midwest visits the odds to win the 2007 Big 12 football conference is pretty important. There are a lot of die hard fans of this conference, and this league has had some of the nation’s best for quite a few years so it’s easy to see why. This year it should be another great race and the Red River Shootout figures to play a big role in who is going to claim this league’s BCS Spot at the end of the year. Oklahoma lost the game to Texas a year ago but due to the Longhorns late season collapse, the Sooners ended up making the trip and taking down the Nebraska Cornhuskers in the title game.

This year we have to think it’s going to be Texas’s year after their disappointments from a year ago, but since Oklahoma is also a top 10 team don’t be surprised if they pull through. It’s going to be tough for another team in the South to come through, but Texas A&M and Oklahoma State both think they have the kinds of teams that will give them a chance. It seems a bit far fetched to us as we think the best bets will be placed on the top two teams in that division. If you want some value then we suggest you take a look at the teams up North. Nebraska leads the way and will have a great shot at the championship game, then they would only have to win one more game to take the conference crown. The other team we think shows value on that side is Missouri. Chase Daniel is a stud and will be one of the Heisman contenders by year’s end if his team can rise up and challenge the Cornhuskers for a spot in the title game.
