Reasons why the Nuggets cover the spread Friday:

1.)  Washington looks to have packed it in.  The Wizards are 1-7 SU & 1-6-1 ATS in their last 8 games.  But the most telling evidence that they’ve packed it in is their performances in their last 2 games.  Washington played host to Memphis and New Jersey, and lost to the Grizzlies by 16 and to the Nets by 27.  To get blown out of their own building by two teams that aren’t nearly in the same class as Denver is tonight leads us to believe the Wizards have packed it in before the All-Star Break.

2.)  Washington’s injury report is as long as a child’s Christmas List.  Arenas, Haywood, Thomas and Blatche are all out of action right now.  Then there’s Caron Butler, Deshawn Stevenson and Juan Dixon who are all questionable tonight.  It looks as though players on this team can’t all be that injured, and they are just looking for reasons to not play.  If there’s one team that has packed it in, it’s Washington.
