Louisiana Tech/Boise State Predictions, Odds, Spread & Lines
The Info Plays team gives their Louisiana Tech/Boise State Predictions with the Wednesday, October 1st meeting on ESPN between these two WAC foes. Boise State has dominated the WAC for the past decade, but the 17th-ranked Broncos are looking to reclaim their title this season. The Broncos saw their string of five straight league titles come to an end last season after a loss to Hawaii in last year’s regular-season finale. This will be the WAC opener for these two teams as each tries to display their talents on National TV. The spread is -22.5/+22.5 with Boise State tagged the favorite at BetUS.com right now.

The Broncos have been the cream of the crop in the WAC since joining the conference in 2002. Boise State has gone 46-2 in conference games while winning five league titles in seven years along the way. They are 28-0 all-time at home in WAC play. The Broncos have also won their last 45 regular-season home games overall. After Hawaii stole their title away last year, head coach Chris Peterson is leading Boise State (3-0) as the WAC favorite this season. A 37-32 win at then-No. 17 Oregon on September 20th in their last game proves they are the real deal this season. Wager on Boise State -22.5 at Sportsbook.com Here!
The Broncos jumped out 37-13 at Oregon, before a ferocious fourth-quarter rally had Boise holding on for dear life. Redshirt freshman quarterback Kellen Moore had the best game of his young career, throwing for 386 yards and three touchdowns to only one interception. Moore is completing better than 70% of his passes on the season. The Broncos’ 2008 team slogan is fitting: “Take back the WAC.” That all starts Wednesday against Louisiana Tech. With standout senior running back Ian Johnson, a talented quarterback in Moore, and a defense that gave up only seven points in each of the first two weeks, the sky is the limit for this Broncos’ squad.
Boise State has reeled off six consecutive wins against Louisiana Tech, including a hard-fought 45-31 road victory last year. The Bulldogs’ last three visits to Boise State have resulted in lossed by at least 26 points, with a pair of 55-14 drubbings in ‘04 and ‘06. Louisiana Tech (2-1) didn’t handle one ranked opponent very well already this season. They lost 29-0 at then-No. 14 Kansas. The Bulldogs gave up 412 passing yards in that game, not a very promising stat if LA Tech wants to try and slow down Boise State’s high-powered offense. The Bulldogs rebounded in their next game, putting up 41 points against Southeastern Louisiana. Six different rushers combined for 249 yards on the ground. But still, QB Taylor Bennett has struggled after transferring from Georgia Tech. Bennett has completed just 41 percent of his passes while throwing two touchdowns and three interceptions. Louisiana Tech is 2-20 against ranked opponents since 2000, including seven straight losses since beating No. 23 Fresno State in 2005.
