Cory Spinks v. Jermaine Taylor Boxing Odds & Predictions
June 10, 2008
The latest Jermain Taylor Cory Spinks odds are posted below from some of the top sportsbooks in the world for betting on boxing. This fight will be held on Saturday, May 19th at 10 EST from the FedEx Forum in Memphis, Tennessee.
This fight will be for the WBC/WBO Middleweight Title currently head by Jermain Taylor. Right now the odds makers are heavily favoring Taylor over Spinks and that might be due to the fact that Spinks is having to come up a weight class in order to challenge Taylor, however we saw Mayweather have no troubles doing that against De La Hoya just a couple of weeks ago. Taylor has done well as the champ, defending his title three times since winning it back in July of 2005 from Bernard Hopkins. He has won some close decisions and retained the title with a draw against Winky Wright.
Spinks is no slouch though and may be worth a look at such long odds. He certainly has the heritage being the nephew of Michael Spinks and the son of Leon Spinks, both former world heavyweight champions. He has a win over Zab Judah and even though that win was avenged shortly after, this kid has some talent.
Both of these fighters have been going to decisions lately, but Taylor has knockout power. If you like the dog you may want to take him parlayed with a decision, whereas to shorten the odds on the favorite a look at the under rounds may give you a better chance of showing value with your bet.
