Reasons why the Grizzlies cover the spread Monday:

1.)  With Chris Paul and Tyson Chandler still on the sidelines, the New Orleans Hornets go for their third straight win when they visit the Memphis Grizzlies on Monday.  New Orleans won its second straight contest on Sunday, pulling out a 101-97 victory over Minnesota.  Also F David West was ejected in that game with a flagrant-2 foul late in the first half.  It’s not yet certain if West will be suspended tonight, but either way there’s no chance the Hornets can win 3 straight games without Paul and Chandler in the lineup.

2.)  Memphis is playing better of late, winning 3 of their last 4 games over the likes of the Wizards, Rockets and Raptors.  Memphis is starting to show what they are capable of, and the Grizzlies should take care of business at home tonight against an undermanned Hornets’ squad.
