The Cotto Judah odds have been posted for their bout set for June 9th, 2007. Miguel Cotto is a 26-year-old boxer from Caguas, Puerto Rico. His record currently stands at 29-0 with 24 knockouts and has taken down some of the best names at his weight class. He took down top challenge John Brown in a ten round decision and former world champ Cesar Cobrita Soto with a knockout in round 11. He was ranked no. 1 in the division by the WBA after beating Demetrio Ceballos in a seven round knockout back in September of 2003. He has recently moved up in weight class to welterweight and has won a couple of fights since then, giving him the WBA Welterweight championship.

Zab “The Jab Super” Judah is a 29 year old boxer from Brooklyn, New York who was a former junior welterweight and welterweight champion. This southpaw is noted for being quick on his feet and having fast hands, but the knock on him in the past has been ow he frequently showboats in the ring. Still, he stands at 34-4 with 25 knockout wins. After his loss to Floyd Mayweather, Jr, he was suspended by the Nevada Athletic Commission for a year due to the in-ring altercation between the two fighters’ camps. He returned to the ring on April 13th, 2007 and beat up on Ruben Galvan with a blistering combination that ended the fight in less than a minute.

This should be an interesting fight between two quality fighters. The odds makers are favoring Cotto, but Judah is a formidable fighter in his own right. Judah’s time off can either be a benefit since he should be at full strength or he might be a little rusty and Cotto could take advantage.
