Reasons why Boston covers the spread Wednesday:

1.)  The Celtics are playing one of the worst teams in the league.  Oklahoma City is still in rebuilding mode, while Boston is at peak performance.  The Thunder have already lost at home by 11 points to the lowly Milwaukee Bucks this season.  They also have a 12-point loss at Houston, which is the same Rockets’ team that lost to the Boston Celtics 103-99 last night.  Oklahoma City’s only win was an unimpressive 88-85 home win over the Minnesota Timberwolves.  Boston runs away with this game tonight.

2.)  The last meeting saw the Boston Celtics beat Seattle last season 111-82 as an 18-point favorite.  Now the Celtics are a single-digit favorite which is absolutely ridiculous.  Boston is 16-6 ATS when playing against a bad team (Win Pct. 25% to 40%) over the last 2 seasons.  The Celtics are 13-2 ATS versus poor 3 point shooting teams – making <=33% of their attempts over the last 2 seasons.  The only teams that have a chance to compete with Boston are the ones who can shoot the 3-pointer with accuracy.  That’s because the Celtics’ interior defense is the best in the league.  Oklahoma City does not have the 3-point gunners that can keep up with Boston.

3.)  System Play.  We’ll Play Against – Home underdogs of 3.5 to 9.5 points (OKLAHOMA CITY) – in non-conference games, off a close home win by 3 points or less.  This is a 27-6 ATS System hitting 81.8% in favor of the Boston Celtics tonight.  Oklahoma City has a long way to go before they are in the same class as the Celtics.  That will be evident by the final score tonight.  Bet Boston on the road.
