Wladmir Klitschko v. Lamon Brewster Predictions & Betting Odds

There is a great heavyweight fight on the horizon this summer and if you want in on the action then take a look at the Brewster Klitschko odds posted below. This fight will take place on July 7, 2007 in Germany for the IBF and IBO Heavyweight titles. The heavyweight division has been a mess with so many different title holders and many experts think if anyone is capable of bringing some stability to the division it’s Wladimir Klitschko. Klitschko is currently ranked no. 3 by the WBC and no. 1 by both the WBO and WBA while being the world title holder according to the IBF. He hasn’t lost since October of 2004 when Lamon Brewster beat him in a five round TKO at the Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas. Since then he has rattled off victories against Chris Byrd and Calvin Brock to regain the top spot in most observers eyes.

Lamon Brewster was looking like he was going to be the next great thing on the boxing scene when he took care of Klitschko back in October of 2004. He then rattled off three straight wins against decent opponents before going down in a unanimous twelve round decision against Serguei Lyakhovich back in January of 2006. It will be interesting to see if this fighter who stands at 33-3 with 29 knockouts can show that he has Klitschko’s number once again and get back to the top of the heavyweight division. He is currently ranked no. 3 by the IBF but number seven by the WBO, number 12 by the WBA, and down to number fifteen by the WBC.
This fight has been billed as “the Rematch” by HBO and the promoters. It has been a tad over three years since the two first met, but it will be tough to see Brewster pulling off another upset. In the first match Klitschko looked slow and sluggish which had many conspiracy theorists contemplated that he was drugged or had his drink spiked, but more likely he just wasn’t preparing himself for the fight against a complete unknown in Brewster. With revenge on his mind, you can bet that he will at least give this his all in training.
