Reasons why the Blazers/Hornets game goes UNDER the Total Monday:

1.)  The UNDER is 6-0 in the last 6 meetings.  This includes a 92-77 Hornets’ win back in January where 169 combined points were scored.  5 of those 6 meetings saw 183 or less combined points.  These are two teams that play tremendous defense, and when they get together defense reigns supreme.

2.)  New Orleans allows just 90.0 PPG at home.  The Hornets will control the tempo tonight playing on their home floor, and the tempo they like to run is a half-court style game.  Portland’s PG Steve Blake is questionable tonight, and if he can’t go then the Blazers will have no choice but to run a half-court game.  Blake is one guy for the Blazers that can push the ball, and even if he plays he won’t be 100% and he certainly won’t be trying to run the fast break.
