Reasons why Army covers the spread Saturday:

1.) Buffalo doesn’t blow teams out. At just 2-4 on the season, the Buffalo Bulls only have one win by more than 2 points this year. That came against a terrible UTEP team in their season opener. Buffalo runs into a hot Army team that won’t make things any easier on the Bulls this week.

2.) Three straight solid performances by Army heading in. The Cadets are playing great football right now, going 2-1 SU & 3-0 ATS in their last 3 games. After falling at Texas A&M 17-21 three weeks ago, Army started to gain some confidence. They went on to beat Tulane 44-13 as an 18.5-point dog, beating the spread by a ridiculous 49.5 points. Then Army beat Eastern Michigan 17-13 at home last week. Buffalo only knows how to lose games, while Army is finding a way to win right now.

3.) Army is allowing just 17.0 PPG on the road. This team is playing solid football away from home, and their defensive effort in holding Buffalo to less than 20 points this week will be the key to the cover.
