The two teams we are deciding from are the New York Giants and the New England Patriots. These two teams put together perhaps the best game of the entire season when they squared off for the last regular season game of the year. New York had nothing to play for, yet they did the nation a favor by giving us all a valiant effort to try and stop the Patriots’ perfect streak. The Giants led the entire game, but when Tom Brady and Randy Moss hooked up for a second time in the game, history was made and the Patriots held on for a 3-point victory. On that long pass completion, Moss set the single-season record for most touchdown receptions while Brady passed Peyton Manning’s record for most touchdown passes in a season.

Since that big game from Moss and Brady, the Giants have held three Pro Bowl quarterbacks in check with Jeff Garcia, Tony Romo and then Brett Favre in the NFC Championship game. The Giants’ defense, coupled with Eli Manning’s decision-making, have been the sole reasons why the Giants find themselves playing for another Super Bowl ring. Randy Moss has been limited to just 2 catches in the entire playoffs, which is very scary considering the Patriots still had their way with the Jaguars and Chargers offensively. With near-perfect weather in Arizona this weekend, the G-Men will have their hands full if they are to end the Patriots’ perfect season once and for all.

The Giants have been perfect at revenging losses this season. The Giants got beat earlier in the year by the Bucs, Packers and twice by the Cowboys before getting revenge on all three of these teams in the playoffs, all on the road none the less. The Giants have won 10 straight road games, another NFL record that’s been set heading into this game. Fittingly, the Giants have been tagged the road team while the Patriots are considered the home team. Larry has laid out all of the decisive factors heading into this game. He has come up with the Side and Total winners, so if you need help in making winning 2008 Super Bowl bets for this game then you have most certainly come to the right place.
