2008 NFL Playoff Odds for Second Round

Saturday, the Seattle Seahawks head to Green Bay to take of the number two seed in the NFC. Seattle is coming off a big blowout win at home over the Redskins, but oddsmakers don’t feel that momentum gets them any closer than 8 points as the Packers are -8 favs at most online stores. The books are siding with a Green Bay team that is 7-1 at home this season against a Seattle team with a losing road record.
Saturday afternoon, all eyes will be glued to the TV to see if the Patriots can get one step closer to a perfect season. By installing the Pats as -13 favorites, the books are giving Jacksonville virtually no shot on the road. With New England not having a bye week since early November, it will be interesting to see how the number one seed in the AFC comes out of the gate.
Sunday, we have the Bolts/Colts and G-Men/Boys matchups. San Diego’s road struggles this season have oddsmakers leaning strongly with the defending Super Bowl champs. The Cowboys have already taken down the Giants twice this season and the books are chalking up the same result here despite the momentum New York picked up with a round one road win.
