Three of the four opening weekend games are showing fairly big favorites.  The Pats over the Jets, Eagles over the Giants, and Colts over Chiefs all appear to the odds makers as easy wins.  The way the Cowboys have been struggling, you almost have to give the Seahawks a significant advantage in their matchup as well.  So let’s take it for granted the lines makers have it right, since we aren’t forecasting any money line upsets this weekend.

It depends on if there are any upsets in weekend one, but if things come out right then the Colts will be in Baltimore and the Pats will be in San Diego.  Both of these games could lead to upsets, but you have to like the Ravens and their ground and pound against a terrible Indy run defense.  New England is always tough, and Rivers will have problems in the playoffs.  This one is closer to a toss up.  Whoever comes out I like the way the Ravens have put it all together this year.  Take Baltimore out of the AFC.

In the NFC I see the Bears having problems with Grossman at quarterback.  The defending NFC champion Seahawks will most likely be that matchup and can cause problems.  The Saints will get the Eagles, and there hasn’t been a hotter team that the Eagles to close the year.  Whichever team comes out of this one, and I would favor the Saints, is going to be able to handle the Bears or if it’s Seattle.  Saints will be my choice to win the NFC.

Baltimore over the Saints is how we break down our 2007 Super Bowl predictions.
