New England Patriots v.San Diego Chargers 2007 NFL Playoffs Odds
The Pats Chargers betting odds have been released and San Diego stands as a 4.5 point favorite on their home field. It seems like a lot of the sharp bettors are going with New England against the inexperience of Phillip Rivers.
A lot was made of the Belichick Mangini matchup last week, but a couple of quick touchdowns from New England made the game a rout. Tom Brady threw for 212 yards and a pair of TD passes, but the play of the game might have been Asante Samuel taking a Chad Pennington pass back 36 yards for a touchdown.
San Diego had a bye last week and can’t be happy to see Tom Brady and the Patriots rolling into town. Philip Rivers has struggled lately, and it’s caused the offense to slow down. LaDanian Tomlinson easily won league MVP honors, and he’ll be tough to contain. Oh year, the Chargers have quite a few studs on defense as well.
