Once again our 2007 NFC East predictions who that this may be the most complete division from top to bottom. The Eagles, Cowboys, and Giants all made the playoffs last season with the Eagles being the most successful of the bunch. The Redskins were competing two years ago for a real chance to win the Super Bowl, and this year it looks like all four are going to be making runs at the division yet again.

First Place - 2007 Dallas Cowboys Predictions - Gone is Bill Parcells and his drill sergeant nature and in is Wade Phillips and his laid back style. How many losses before the laid-back turns into too easy on the players? The good news is that this team has the talent to make a serious Super Bowl run with weapons like Terrell Owens and Tony Romo on offense and a fairly loaded defense for the mastermind Phillips to take control of. The division is going to be a dogfight, but this seems like the team that is most balanced on offense and defense.

Second Place - 2007 Philadelphia Eagles Predictions - There was a little bit of controversy when the Eagles drafted a quarterback in the second round, but Andy Reid told Donovan McNabb that it was only because they didn’t have any needs. Receiver would have been a position the team could have used some help, and some defensive positions are getting a little aged so we might disagree. Of course, McNabb hasn’t been able to stay healthy in hardly any season he has played in the NFL, and if that is the case again this year then there is no Jeff Garcia to come in and lead the team into the playoffs.

Third Place - 2007 New York Giants Predictions - We feel pretty comfortable in saying Tom Coughlin won’t be the Giants head coach next season. Tiki Barber is gone and there isn’t a viable replacement on the roster. Eli Manning isn’t developing into anywhere near the player his brother is, and he’s behind Phillip Rivers and Ben Roethlisberger from the same draft class. Defensively the team pretty much stood pat except for drafting Aaron Ross out of Texas. This might not be enough for the team that ranked 28th against the pass and 25th overall. The team’s offense revolved around the ground game last year and without being able to do that this season then they’ll be outside looking in at playoff time.

Fourth Place - 2007 Washington Redskins Predictions - The Redskins having to go with Jason Campbell at quarterback is going to bring some excitement to the offense but will also bring a lot of turnovers. He is a talented player who is still pretty raw even after two years watching for the most part. The team is going to have one of the best running games once again with Ladell Betts and Clinton Portis both being premiere backs who will benefit by splitting time and staying fresh. The receivers were pretty disappointing a year ago and will have to perform up to expectations if they can get out of the basement of the division. Defensively the team struggled last year even though they have Gregg Williams, who is one of the smartest defensive guys in the game. They brought in plenty of help on that side of the ball as that was their primary off-season focus, but it probably won’t be enough
