We have a few of our 2007 Nextel Cup predictions ready to go and ready for all who are going to bet on this nice futures wager. Whenever it comes to these futures wagers you need to look for value. Of course our favorite to win this year is Tony Stewart, but that is what everyone and the odds makers included expect, so you are going to get short odds on him. Take a look at some longer shots we believe can compete.
Drivers showing good value:

Carl Edwards - This guy came on to the scene in 2005 and finished just 35 points behind champion Tony Stewart after winning four straight races. He is the guy who does the back flip off his car whenever he wins, and he’s had a lot of practice in recent years. This is a consistent driver who last year had four wins, 13 top-fives, and 18 top-10s in 36 races.

Kurt Busch - The older brother of 2005 rookie of the year Kyle Busch, this is a former champ who won the inagural Chase for the Nextel Cup. How can you have a young former, winner getting these kinds of odds? Well there are some doubters now after he left Roush Racing a year ago.

Denny Hamlin - Last year was his first full year at the highest level, but he piled up 2 wins, 8 top-5s, and 20 top-10s. You can get this member of Joe Gibbs’s racing team will compete in 2007.
Drivers not showing value:

Greg Biffle - This guy had a great 2005 before struggling last year. Biffle had 2 wins, 8 top-5s, but only 15 top 10s in 2006. He is a good driver who competes at all different series well, but he’s garnering too high of a price for us to take a chance on him.

Jeff Burton - Extremely well known and he has had a long career in racing, but didn’t finish highly enough last season. He had only 1 win, 7 top-5s, and 20 top-10s. Not getting enough value for us to take a shot on him.
