2007 NBA Betting Surprises
Below are a list of surprise teams for the 2007 NBA
betting season, which should put you in a position
to be ready for the rest of the year when 2008 tips off.
While these teams aren't meant to be ridden every single
night, you could still catch some value as the rest of
the betting public lags behind the most up to date
information. As always, if you want to win more of
your basketball bets then we recommend you get signed up
for our NBA picks and
ride the expert handicapping selections put out by our
talented services each day of the season.

No. 1 - Orlando Magic - This team is 23-9 ATS this year so if you don't know how
great the Magic are then you have been missing out on some chances to add to
your bankroll. While their record seems impressive enough, consider the
fact that the team is 16-3 ATS on the road and it's easy to see why we are big
on Orlando. If you see this team playing someone away from their home
floor, then you immediately have to dive into the matchup and see if it's worth
a wager, because more often than not it is. Into the coming months though,
be wary when they are playing at home since the odds makers might start
adjusting the line on these games and you'll have a chance to fade a team that
doesn't play as well in front of their faithful followers.
No. 2 - Portland Blazers - This team was hotter than hell to the end the 2007
year, but we don't think that was a fluke either even though they got off to
such a horrible start. This team is young and plays out west, which means
the betting public doesn't know much about them and the odds makers aren't
likely to make any adjustments. You should stick to them until they cool
off or the odds makers get a grip on how good this team really is.
No. 3 - Detroit Pistons - This team doesn't seem to get much respect out of the
odds makers, even though they are consistent contenders in the Eastern
Conference. Detroit is 20-9 ATS this year but the team is largely ignored
by bettors and odds makers alike, but not by expert handicappers looking to make
a little extra doe. If you have taken the Pistons on the road you would be
10-5 ATS this year, so look to this team for some additional profits in 2008.
No. 4 - Charlotte Bobcats - We are going the other way with our final two teams.
The Bobcats are just rot at the pay window going 3-12 ATS over their last 15
contests and it's not like they were playing quality teams every night.
Look to take whoever Charlotte is playing, and if the matchup works it's
probably going to be a profitable play.
No. 5 - Chicago Bulls - Everyone was so big on this team at the beginning of the
year, but they have played so poorly that coach Scott Skiles was canned.
They are 9-19 ATS which shows just how much they have underperformed according
to the odds makers. We feel like the odds are still skewed from last
year's success and the promise the team has, but until they get hot this is a
solid team to wager against.
