It’s time for the baseball season to begin in full force now and as such we have prepared our 2006 MLB baseball predictions for all of our site viewers.  We will be giving a quick overview of some key players, teams, and where you can expect your favorite team to finish by the year’s end.  If you want to go a little bit deeper into any or all of the teams then click on the links below that will take you to each individual team’s page on our site.  Before making any futures wagers and before you start betting heavily in the early season on any of these games you will want to read up and gain as much knowledge as possible on every single team in the MLB.

The trend in recent years is that teams are coming out of nowhere to win the World Series.  The Yankees finally have hit the end of their dominance when it comes to cashing in on title after title and new teams are coming out of nowhere to prove that they belong in the game’s elite.  Last year it was the Chicago White Sox, the year before the Red Sox ended their 86 year curse, before that it was the Florida Marlins, and then the Anaheim Angels.  There isn’t anyone who can legitimately say that they thought before the season that those 4 teams were the no. 1 contenders to take down the Yankees.  Does that mean history will repeat itself this year or will the Evil Empire regain it’s dominant spot on top of the baseball throne?

Here at Info Plays we see a lot of potential contenders to unseat the favorites.  The Yankees are again expected to win, but their pitching staff is not really good enough to make them a lock to bring home another title.  The Mets are another favorite, but we think they possess the same issues as their cross town rivals in having an old, rocky pitching staff.  The Cardinals are the favorites in the National League, and we have to believe that they are the real deal due to their combination of both a great lineup of hitters and a solid pitching staff.  This team really should do some damage this season.

So those are the favorites, who are some underdogs that could show some value to future bettors?  Well the Red Sox believe it or not are behind both the White Sox and Indians when it comes to value, and I really like their odds right now at nearly 12 to 1.  The Braves are close to 24 to 1 favorites and with how much of a lock they have been in their division over the last 14 years, how can you not like those odds.  The San Francisco Giants are getting nearly 35 to 1 and that seems to be quite the value play.  If you notice we tend to stick to teams that we feel are fairly likely to make the playoffs, and then once you get in the four team race at those kinds of odds you have to like the values.

Personally we would stay away from the defending champs and Cleveland Indians since they are over-valued and will be taking a playoff spot away from one another.  It’ll be tough battling out for the Wild Card.  Oakland is way over-valued in comparison to the Angels, which is a team that has potential to draw some of our action if they get off to a fast start.  Read up below and see if you can find value where we may have missed it and then cash you bets at one of our recommended sportsbooks.
