On New Year’s Day the Nebraska Auburn odds show the Tigers as a slight 1.5 point favorite over the Huskers in the Cotton Bowl.  The game will be played in Dallas, Texas with the total set at 46 points.

The Huskers are coming off a 21-7 loss in the Big 12 Championship game to Oklahoma that left the school 9-3 SU and 7-3 ATS for the year.  The game fell way short of the 45 points expected by the book makers.  The team had 20 straight passes called at one point and is going to try a more balanced approach in this one.

Auburn forced four turnovers to beat their in-state rival Alabama 22-15 last time out.  The Tigers covered the 2.5 point spread and the 37 points squeaked UNDER the posted total of 40.  There wasn’t a lot of offense for Auburn as Brandon Cox threw for only 137 yards and a TD while Kenny Irons ran for 85 yards and a TD of his own.
